    So far it's been ok. The process was quick to set up. I can't say anything about the negotiations with my creditors yet because there hasn't been any contact with them as far as I know. Once that occurs, then I'll be able to review better. My credit is in the toilet, and that was to be expected.     I have been mostly happy. I just didn't realize that I could lose settlements because they over promised and when I say I can't make an extra, I feel almost ashamed.     It has been 6 months and only one account has been settled. I never get updates on how the other accounts are being handled. It's hard to get a case worker to call, and just say everything is going well. I'm sure they are working on things.     To this writing (dated 06-13-2017), I am still receiving calls from my creditor regarding late payments. I started paying my monthly dues of $338.00 to the National Debt Relief. I wonder when will NDR contacting my creditors for negotiations. Please advise.

    Updated on 1/05/2018: I ended up talking to another representative. I have five creditors and so far, they got only two creditors that's been negotiated. The remaining three, I'm waiting for the result from their team.

    I have been extremely happy with the rate at which my debts have been settled. I have one that hasn't reached a settlement but I am hoping that it will be taken care of shortly. I haven't even been with this program for a year yet and 4 of the 5 debts have either taken a settlement and been paid or have taken a settlement and payments are being made. The staff is always friendly and helpful and don't make me feel bad for having to go this route. My credit has been hit hard but not as hard as if I had filed bankruptcy and for that the recovery process shouldn't be as difficult.

    When I first called NDR, I wasn't looking for much. I was knee deep in debt even after finally paying off my student loans.     I find the fees after my first settlement was very high. Example my original balance was $2,122.00. The settlement was $1,090, which is a somewhat good amount at less than 50% of balance. But, the additional fees were for $530.50. I want to know how is that amount is figured out. I find that it is extremely high being at 25% of original balance. And if you add settlement plus fees, I am paying back practically 75% of what I originally owed.

    The only bad experience is when one of your reps left me a voicemail, asking me to return the call because you "had updated information for me regarding my account". When I called, I reached a rep who sounded like a New York thug! And started asking me to update MY information... And started asking me questions about ME, like "Are you still unemployed?"

    He hesitated when I asked him what updated information he had with me... So I ended the call, and told him I had to go or I WOULD BE LATE FOR WORK.     My only input is National Debt Relief needs to communicate more frequently on status of the account. "We have contacted all the companies", "we have $$$$ in the account", "we are negotiating three out of five currently"... I feel like we signed up and then NDR disappeared. All we heard was from the companies we owe money to. NDR has negotiated one and probably the largest debt to 50%. So that is going well.

    I enrolled at the end of April, haven't heard from NDR since then. I called the guy I signed up with to ask a question and he still hasn't called back, over a month later, so just plan on calling the main number when you call. They said they would be in communication with me about my debt but I haven't heard from anyone. I'm not sure what's going on with my debt and they aren't friendly or comfortable to call.
