    Last year, I had rough unexpected expenses when the hurricane came in Orlando and I realized that I was using all the money to pay debt. I'm already 73 and I want to get out of debt and go through settlement, so I can have the rest of my life in comfort. I didn’t start receiving collection letters or calls because I was on time with all my creditors but at the time that I enrolled with National Debt Relief, I didn't have any cash flow and I stopped making the payments because I used that money to pay them. But, I have not received that much calls, only about two or three and as soon as they tell them that I'm with NDR they stopped calling me.

    The reps from National Debt Relief were really friendly. They answered all the questions that I have and if they don't know, they go and ask someone. When I go online, there's a lot of information sometimes. Though about three months ago, I sent a copy of a collection letter from one of the creditors enrolled in the program. They said that I was going to receive a feedback on that, but I never did and there's no information about that collection letter.

    I had credit card issues and I've researched National Debt Relief to see what their ratings were. When I first signed up, the guy was very courteous. They told me the program will take two to four years to complete and so far, they’ve taken care of two debts. It's been a while since they've given me an update and I've sent some emails on some notices that I've got in the mail, but I haven’t heard anything from them.     I am satisfied thus far with the progress National Debt has made with me and enrolled creditors. No hidden surprises, customer service is awesome from a phone call away or email. I am enrolled in a three year program and so far so good. They work within your budget and no pressure. I would recommend once you decide to start the program, expect to see a decline in credit score and delinquencies with your creditors but that's the only way to get back on track. I dealt directly with NDR with every correspondent I receive, I cut all communications with creditors and let NDR handle the rest. It feels great to pay one low payment a month knowing that my accounts are being settled and I can save for other things.     I was having a hard time with my credit collectors. I started looking up online for some program to help me out and National Debt Relief came up on top of the line every time. I inquired about their services and everything was perfect. They were nice and professional. They've been very helpful and able to work with me. I started off paying about $200, and right now I'm going through some hard time again and I'm paying $100, but everything looks good so far.

    NDR doesn't pressure me. When I pass a payment that I'm supposed to give, they'll call a couple of weeks later and give me time to give the payment, not that freaking next day like other companies. I have another loan with this other company that NDR couldn't help me with. This company keeps on calling. I gave a payment yesterday of $150. And they even texted me today saying, "We were expecting you to give a payment. Please give us a call." They even called my boss. What kind of professionalism is that? But as for NDR, it's a great service and a great program overall. I've been with the program for about 6 months and I already got a couple of accounts solved. It was gonna be a two-year program and I'm trying to get it done sooner. I will certainly recommend NDR to my friends.

    I like National Debt Relief’s price, the time that they said it would take to pay my debts and their method of doing it. They helped me to come out with a settlement with my creditors instead of me trying to pay off all my debts which would take forever and my credit will still be messed up. The cost of their service is also more affordable for me even though it's $500 a month. I'm able to upload my end documents that I get from my creditors and their reps called when they have come to a settlement to see if I will agree with it. I was assisted in a timely manner too when I called them for questions. I’ve been in their program for less than a year and out of 5 creditors, about four of them were already paid up.     I wanted to get rid of my credit card bills. I called National Debt Relief in November and I’ve been working with them for eight months now. Everything has been very positive and helpful. I have 70% of my debts settled with 30% paid and things should start to pick up after this September because I'm putting out a lot right now. Also, in order to settle a $10,000 bill, National Debt Relief increased my payment at the terms of the creditor but got it settled for $2400 instead of $10,000. I'm paying two-tenths of my paycheck right now and I’m looking to get it done by Christmas.

    Their reps email me every time a payment has been made so I got to check it twice a month. I can even access my statements and my current status at any time. They are always available on the website. They also sent several newsletters and tips on ways to save and to earn extra money which I like, too.     My husband's in the military. When he got relocated, I had to quit my job and it took me a lot to find a job so we were struggling and the only one that ever talked to me about relief help was National Debt Relief. Enrollment process was easy and he just asked me a few questions, gave me a game plan, sent it to underwriting, then he called me back, and it was for three days total. Then my first interaction with their team was great. The lady explained it very well and she said, "In my opinion, I think this is a good offer for you. I would advise you to take it, but it's up to you." The second lady that I talked to, the second time we settled one was not very friendly.

    It was like telling me I have to put X amount of money in my account by the certain date, or they're not going to settle it at all. The reason we're in the program is we don't have all the funds so she really stressed me out. The way she explained it also wasn't very good, so I hung up on her and called another lady back because I didn't like the way she talked to me. But once I called and talked to the other lady, she said "I don't need all the funds now. I just need them before we can settle, so we can come up with a plan." She helped me understand the process better and they told me April of 2018 we’ll have it all settled.

    They also set me up to where on the 15th of every month, they withdraw a certain amount to my account. Then the last time when they said that they had one that wanted to settle, but I needed additional funds, they told me that I could either opt to pay all of it upfront or they could take $100 each for the next three months. In that way, we could get that one settled. We didn't have a lot but with me not having a job for seven months it was hard. I'm happy with the quality of service that I received from National Debt Relief. It's the easiest way of helping me get out of debt one month at a time.

    We ended up getting the tight spot and interest rates, late fees and then everything else just started going nuts. And getting with some health issues that screwed up and started backing, so we decided to look into relief help. So far everything's been great with National Debt Relief. We've got a couple of debts off the list and we're working on a few more. I gave National Debt Relief all the numbers and they were hunting them through. But, people who didn't want to give up are still calling us after, though National Debt Relief wanted us to expect that. They also had an agreement with Discover, so it was different from all the rest. But, they would call us if an agreement has been reached, and they say how much it is and then ask for confirmation if we're okay with it. Working with them has taken some of the pressure off. So the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train, but an exit light. Keep up the good work.

    A friend recommended National Debt Relief to me, and they have been helpful and efficient for the most part. They took a tremendous stress out of the equation of my family but I would only have one caveat to that statement. The largest portions of the debt were credit card settlement and it's not happening. That might not be necessarily the fault of NDR, but it would be nice if six or seven months later I'd have a clear picture on all of the debts. Other than that, NDR was pretty great.

    I was in debt and not getting a raise in my job so I was getting behind in my payments. At the initial signup with National Debt Relief, the guy said I was gonna pay $340 a month and out of that was their cut, that that’s all I was gonna pay for the 30 months. I even initially asked if that’s gonna be it and if there was going to be no surprise cost after that. But I was surprised as lately, there’s been an additional 15% for their service fee. I was disappointed there. I finished this last month just recently, the first week of the month, and it’s back to $340. I question the last four months though.

    NDR is getting a lot of debt stress out of my life in getting me out of debt slowly. It’s helped me and I'm glad I did it. I’ve been with them since last year and so far, it’s working. I'm gonna continue to do the best I can so I eventually get out of debt in the next two years. Other than the additional fees, everything's been fine. I hope to keep up with them and what they negotiate with the next company, so I can pay that off and eventually get to the last one and complete it so I’ll be out of debt. I got a good start, but I need to get to finish the line, too.

    I called National Debt Relief and they answered my questions promptly and clearly. I like their system. I told them about my problem, gave them my information, they reviewed my case and they proposed something to me. It was simple and easy.     I decided to look into relief help because I lost my second job and I depended on that and so, I couldn't keep up with my bills. At first, I spoke to somebody from National Debt Relief and they said they would send me the information. I had to go through email process approval and so forth. They were very courteous but, unfortunately, what I was told is not what is happening now.

    I was told that they would be paid off directly. But what National Debt Relief is doing is they're negotiating with the credit cards and they're scheduling monthly payments. So I understood that I will keep on putting money in the account and they would pay that off. Then negotiate another and pay that off too. Whatever it is they're doing and then charging me for is something I could have done myself. I'm not very happy with it at all right now.

    The only thing they offer is the protection which I haven't utilized yet. They should also have more information and not rush the process like they did with me. They should as well do what they say they're going to do rather than say something and do something else. So now, I'm in the process of trying to find some other source to go to. And it's really hard 'cause it seems like when you already consolidate, nobody else wants to do it. It's also hard for me to consolidate with somebody who's been active with lump sum payments rather than monthly payments.

    Updated on 09/07/2018: National Debt Relief took the debts we had and they came up with a payment. It doesn’t leave us with much left over but still, they’ve already cleared out so much. The program works and the people are on top of the situation. They don’t usually call me because they know I’m not allowed to answer the phone too much at work, so they’ll either email or call my wife. And they say, "We can do this" or “We got this.” They don’t force us to accept the offer but instead, they recommend. They’re really nice people and they’re like, “Hey, it’s a good deal. This is what they’re gonna settle for” or whatever the case is and they would take payments. Also, their pricing is very fair for what they do because they go and battle for us.

    The finalized part of working with National Debt Relief won’t be until we get done with the program. It surely hurts our credit but it is better than going bankrupt. But I see the big cards coming off and it teaches us a lesson. We can’t use a credit card if we know everything is cash and I’m starting to like that. I would highly recommend National Debt Relief. They do what they say they’re gonna do and there’s no beating on the bush with it. It has been a pleasant experience and I can’t believe how easy it has been.

    This is a wonderful program but unfortunately it wasn't the right fit for me. I became overwhelmed with debt after going through a family crisis. I could barely function and was terrified of how much more damage a lawsuit could do to me. NDR seemed like the answer to my prayers. After listening to my circumstances NDR set up comfortable monthly payments and told me they often settle accounts for less because creditors don't want to lose out by going to court or bankruptcy. Everything was going fine until I had to deal with an account from hell. They refused to settle and the account quickly doubled from late fees, court fees, lawyer’s fees and interest.

    Some creditors will never settle. They would rather sue to garnish your wages for the next 12 years, put a lien on your bank account, car, home, etc and make your life a living hell. And they have the right to. This was no fault of NDR. They did everything they could and I would still recommend this program. However, it's important to understand all of your options before making a decision and don't let fear control you.
