My wife and I realized that our children’s diapers were still on our revolving credit cards and our grandchildren were about to be born and that we, after 20 years, were not making any significant progress in spite of our best efforts so I felt it was time to take more extreme measures. We looked into filing a bankruptcy but we didn’t want that. So we considered some options and debt relief was a nice alternative between the amputation and the walking around crippled for the rest of our life. So we Google-searched top rated debt relief companies in America and National Debt Relief was consistently at the top.

The people that dealt with us upfront were the best. The limbic part of my brain trusted them to help me. They were understanding, sympathetic and not judgmental. I felt like they weren't trying to get something from me for their benefit but what they did benefitted me and that they would benefit as well. We set up a 48-month plan. We got excited and did everything in the last 12 months to get rid of our debts. We cashed in our retirement savings which was an extreme measure but once we start making progress, it’s contagious. Debt reduction for us was like weighing 800 pounds and losing ten every year. We can celebrate that we lost 10 pounds but then we still had to face the fact that we weigh 790. But with National Debt Relief, it was like liposuction wherein they tore stuff off of us and suddenly we have biceps.

The only concern I have is that last week we had a conversation that took four separate phone calls because I was getting disconnected as they would transfer me to somebody else. Their people’s understanding of how to use their systems may be inadequate but apart from that, we have a fantastic relationship with the company. I wholeheartedly recommend National Debt Relief to people who are drowning and can't seem to find a way out.

I have been going through a bunch of medical bill situations with the family that I assist. I had incurred way too much debt in loans and credit card in assisting them that I wasn't able to pay for myself. So, I was hoping to consolidate everything and get settlements done so that I can restart. I knew I would get a lower credit score because of the relief help but I was willing to do that for a couple of years just to get everything figured out. Everyone that I've worked with in National Debt Relief has been great and responsive with emails. Plus, people that I have talked to over the phone were really courteous and know everything about my account so they make really good notes. Working with National has been great because I started out with a really low credit score because I put everything out into debt settlement, but afterward everything has been going fine. I would definitely recommend them.

I was researching online about how I can get help with my credit cards and looked at National Debt Relief's reviews in the Better Business Bureau. Their reps were able to help in accommodating payments that I had to lower due to financial difficulties. Before, what I had to pay was too much and it became a struggle and a strain. It was either I go with National Debt Relief or file for bankruptcy. I haven’t had any problems with them so far, but I’m not out of debt yet. The only thing is that I would like to have a written statement sent to me via mail or email stating how much I owe and what have I paid in fees instead of having to call them to ask. I have to go through their the company that manages the bills. I log in, get a login member name, and it’s complicated.

I keep paying them monthly and I don’t know if I’m getting closer to my goal or not. I have no idea where my money is going and what they take out in fees which is a little unnerving. They have to charge something for their services and I have no other choice. I have looked around to see if I can get some other help with banks and credit unions, but there is nothing that I can see and I don’t want to deal with it. For most of us who are in debt like this, it’s a tremendous financial and emotional burden. It would help us to get some sort of “Hey, you’re doing fine. We’re getting towards our goal. We have this much time left and then you’re going to be debt free.” That would be nice to receive on a quarterly basis.

Otherwise, I do recommend National Debt Relief to people in my situation. So far, they’ve been collaborating nicely. They’re always nice, friendly and available to talk on the phone. When I had a problem renting an apartment, they wrote a letter that I was paying my bills on time and that I’m taking care of my debts. In that respect, they’re very personable. I’m hoping that I’ll be out of debt soon.

My husband was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He also has Parkinson's and high blood pressure. Our bills were mounting up because he was in a nursing home for five months and I had to pay for that. It was too much for me to handle. I called my daughter and told her to check out some place for me. She called me back for National Debt Relief and once I got their number, I called them and did the interview. Then, they sent me the forms in the mail and they've been handling them. I just have to put an amount of money every month and they take care of all the bills that I have. They've been calling me whenever they make a settlement.

20 years ago, I was in the same position and I had GreenPath. They did better in a way that they took all my bills together and then I paid an amount of money every month. Everything was pooled and they settled everything. But with National Debt Relief, I'm still getting calls from companies that I had placed with them to take care of. I think they just do one at a time and that's it. Also, I have a four-year plan and I told them four years is a lot. At the time they were the only company that I got and I should have checked out more companies instead of just rushing to doing it with them. I had no option because all the bills were piling up. But it took me longer than expected.

From the first moment that I called National Debt Relief, they were very informative and helpful. They weren't pushy at all. It was more of an inquiry into why I was seeking help and then following up with me on how they could help. They've given me a great deal of relief. They provided me a very clear way to get out of debt that I thought I was gonna be paying for the rest of my life in a matter of three years. They helped me through the rough moments too because I had a hard time with the concept of not meeting the minimum payment. They let me know that I was gonna have to go into default and they understood why that was hard for me and answered all my questions. They were really reassuring about the process. I've also recommended them to other people that I know.

We're putting it in a place where were using your money to talk to these people and get it down to where we can get it paid off." I would call every once in a while and ask questions and not one person was short or unclear. My experience with them was very empowering and freeing. The heavy weight of the bills that I owe was taken off me. I also felt like I did something. It really made me want to make sure that I'm responsible with my bills and not get it out of hand again and not do credit cards. It was nice to be in a situation where I wasn't shamed or put down. It was great.

Recently, National Debt Relief had informed me that they were negotiating with Barclays Bank where I had a credit card with. They said that if they come to an agreement to reduce the debt, there was an additional payment to the one that we had originally agreed, which is $257 a month. I had to pay an additional $74 for a couple of months and I wasn’t sure what that was for. But I don’t recall being mentioned in the initial negotiating process that in the event that we come to an agreement with a specific creditor, that you’ll be assessed for another amount of money in addition to the monthly amount. I wasn’t really clear on that. But I took care of it best I could with a little strain, financially. So it’s still the best process and I’m grateful for the assistance. NDR has been working toward reducing the debt that I had and I think that we’re accomplishing that goal.

There are a lot of stuff that I do not understand especially with what they're saying and their system. In the last three or four months I didn't settle with anybody. National Debt took the money first for their selves then they're going to give it to the creditors. It's rough that I didn't understand from the beginning that they would do something like that. I was not informed and that's making it harder to get out from the debt. The process is taking longer and it's very weird.

When someone mentioned that National Debt Relief is very helpful in the long term, I looked into their service and got started right away with them. Their name took a lot of stress off me. It's the relief of thinking about how I got into this mess and how I could get out reasonably without adding more to what I owed. When I was paying to the bank what they said I owed, they would take my $300 or $400 minimum payment every month, but that was just for the interest, and the principal amount I owed never went down, so it was like throwing money into the fire. So, I really needed a company that could help me pay off my debts.

I have always paid my bills, but just had a bunch of stuff happening. National has been helpful since I lost my career job. I've had a job every two years, however, it was not anything to be proud of. So, I called National and gave them a heads-up, "Hey, I need a month off." They granted that and just added the payment on the end. So, I'm not behind on everything. I still have my monthly bills and my taxes, and once again I'm employed. If there's enough money in there, the National guys would say, "Okay, there's enough" for them to approach the business that I had a debt to and make an offer. It's usually what I originally owed minus the interest. So, they're pretty fair.

By working with National, I paid up all my debts, except for a last one I have with a Visa credit card that I'm working at and making payments. The creditors still send me letters saying that I owe them what National has already paid them. I faxed the documents to them, and they said, "It's just what companies do," and that they were just looking for me. If I had heard about National Debt Relief and gotten their services sooner, I could've been paying them now for their services and would've been farther ahead than just trying to pay my debts of.

When I was looking for help with debt and trying to figure out what my options were, I called National Debt Relief. It sounded like something that I could manage so I decided to go with them. They sounded competent enough and whoever I was speaking to was smart enough to understand what was going to help me and provide a solution. On one hand, it’s a good solution because I feel that the debt is being managed. However, I don’t know the downsides yet because it’s taking a long time. It’s somewhat expensive and all of my debts are not resolved yet. I thought I had an understanding at the beginning, but they led me to believe that it would be a four-year deal by the time I paid off my creditors and that the first year they would be in settlements with all the different creditors. However, it's been a couple of years now and we're still not in settlements with everybody and it's not good for my credit.

When I asked them about it, all they said was, “We explained that it takes a while to get into settlements and we can’t get into settlements until they agree to settle, and they are not gonna agree to settle until you haven’t paid for a long time. Even then, there has to be enough money in your account for the settlement.” Since I’m paying a monthly amount, I thought there would be funds in the account to pay out for settlements as well. I understand the math of what they are telling me now. But when it was first explained to me, it sounded like they had the skills to do the negotiating to make the math of initiating settlements within the one year mark so that the last three years is just paying the settlements off. I feel that it was slightly misleading. But it seems like it will resolve in a positive way unless things go dreadfully wrong.

I was in debt with my credit cards. I had cashed in my husband's life insurance policy and paid them off but I couldn't understand why I keep getting in debt. So, I sat down and finally did a budget, and I realized that I was living on credit cards because I don't make much money. I realized that in order to get stuff that I thought I needed, I was putting it on credit cards and got myself in trouble. I could try to work it out on my own but it will take a long time and I'm gonna get bad credit. I could try to go bankrupt but I really don't want to. So, that's when I looked up for National Debt Relief and I liked what I saw.

They talked to me and my husband to tell us what to do. After that, the only time we've heard from them was when they were able to pay somebody off. I wish though that that they could tell our creditors what they're helping us do because in the beginning and still to this day, some of the creditors haven't been notified yet that NDR is going to pay them. They thought that we've just quit. All I could tell the debt collector is that I've given them over to NDR and they asked when they're going to collect their money because that's all they care about. They call every week for the first couple of months and then finally, they quit. I'm now living by a very strict budget so that I can pay NDR and I have other bills that I have to pay and it's very hard but I'm trying to do the best I can. I pay NDR $330 a month and it's a lot of money, but it's going to a good cause paying off my debts. Overall, I'm very satisfied. I'm thankful that my debts are getting paid.

A couple of times, I got in touch with them and requested that a deposit be moved to a different date, and they always helped me with that. It's a relief to know that I'm eventually going to get out of this debt.

I was getting myself into a jam because of some issues at home with a death in the family. I went online after I saw National Debt Relief on TV and I saw that their ratings were very high. It had a lot of positive comments on it. I did my research with several others and decided to make that phone call. The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful with all the information I needed. He knew how to explain to me how it worked. He told me about all the fees and everything that goes into it. He made me understand and was honest about letting me know that it does take a while, that I needed to make sure that I had enough money before any of my creditors would begin to deal with me. He told me to give him a call if I needed him. In the beginning, we had a little miscommunication because I wasn't looking at emails. But I look at my emails now and that's the only issue we had.

Everything has been going great and my bills are getting paid. Working with National Debt Relief has made my life easier on my payments. They've done a good job of explaining everything and how it all works even before we signed the agreement with them. They also give me regular updates. It’s been good having someone help me manage the debt as well as having all of the payments consolidated into a single monthly payment. Of course, the downside has been a hit to the credit score, but at least it gave me a chance to get the debt that I had under control even though I'm starting from square one again.

They’ve done an awesome job about being able to settle some of the debt for much lower amounts and that’s something that they had advertised when I first saw them online. I short sold a house in New Jersey and have left some bills go when I lost a job that was not making as much as what I was making at my current job. I decided to start fresh but it ended up that bankruptcy wasn't available for me because I made too much money according to my W-2's and lawyers gave me the run around, so I decided just to put my big boy pants on and pay the debt back as best as I could for what I had.

Some things were made clear by National Debt Relief's reps, but some things were not. Mostly everything is in the fine print but not everybody reads the fine print and that's where my weakness lies. So the misunderstanding is lying on my part, not so much National Debt Relief. But after they described the breakdown of the system and how the system actually worked with it, I was more at ease. I wanted to know where a majority of money was going since what I do was different from what they do, which was why I'm in their program. I thought I could do it better but I've already had so much money invested so I might as well keep on going.

I don't like that they don't relay my credit report to my creditors. They don't say that an account has been settled. On my behalf, they need to have it removed or have made sure that my credit report reads appropriately to future creditors. I could have done the same way they were doing because I still do the same thing that they do but I'm not paying someone to do it. I figured out we would get a better deal on a group of trying to settle one big lump sum debt which they claimed they were but at the same time they were using that money more to pay themselves. I don't think I'll ever do it again if I ever put myself in the same situation. There are other agencies that are similar, and as they're clearing people's debt, they get it reported and get their debt or credit score and report help to improve it.

The last interaction that I had with them, they called me to let me know that I have two accounts that were willing to settle and that they were going to do that. It was really cool because it was faster than I anticipated it to be. I have just signed up with them and they were already negotiating to lower the cost down. The people are always responsive whenever I have questions or concerns. They've been very pleasing when I had conversations with them. I came into terms that I needed help, and I appreciated that I have someone empathizing with me and able to make me feel comfortable in my situation. I've been recommending National Debt Relief to a lot of my friends that are in similar situations.

I talked to a couple of different people there and all of them were very pleasant, very informative, and there to help me out. They knew what they were doing and how to solve my issues. My overall experience is good. I have a set budget that I pay biweekly and it doesn't go up or down as of right now. I'm comfortable with knowing that I have to put X amount of dollars in biweekly. It's really a lot easy to manage my debt that way.

We have gotten ourselves absolutely buried in debt, and then my wife had to take some time off work for cataract surgery. We got behind and we're sinking in it. I had originally contacted Trinity Debt Management. My wife, for one reason or another, said she wasn't comfortable with that. I asked her son to do research for me. I had heard that Trinity had AAA waiting with the Better Business Bureau and they're not even listed with the Better Business Bureau. Also, because of the research that he did, we saw that National Debt Relief had the highest Better Business Bureau rating of all of them.

National Debt Relief have all been very helpful, kind, quick and understanding. We've already settled a couple of our accounts. They certainly had taken a lot of grief and stress off of me. I had to get through a period of some pretty ugly phone calls from some creditors, but that's all been stopped now. It's just really lightened up our stress. We're still pretty new into it but we're very, very happy with National Debt Relief, with all they've done for us, and all they continue to do for us.

I have debts, so I wanted to relieve it. I've been with National Debt Relief and I've had 50 percent of my debt cleared so far. But that's not really saying much because the debt was only about a thousand dollars and I didn't understand the structure of what actually happened before I get into it. So I've been paying into the account $233 every two weeks and the amount doesn't go down as the debt goes down, which I thought it would. I'm wanting to get out of the program as soon as possible. Not necessarily working with the company, but because I'm with the company, they harass and call the staff. The emails and letters in the mail are going to them now and that's great. But it still hasn't resolved my debt yet. I have only been with National Debt since the beginning of the summer.

Another issue is I had one offer for a settlement about a month ago. They wanted $2,000 upfront; I couldn't do that and I asked if we can re-negotiate. A week later, somebody else called me back and offered me the same settlement, the same stipulations and I got a total of seven reliefs. So from the past, I haven't met new relief weekly and I assume it's forgotten to be put on the account that I actually couldn't come over $2,000 on the spot. They said they're sorry about that and then they haven't called me back yet. Then I got an email saying that a law office is actually re-negotiating it for me now. I'm still hoping for a result and I'm wanting to get out of the program as soon as possible.

Some changes came in my life where a thousand dollars extra was not coming in anymore. So I had to make a debt because the bills continued on. When they disappear, I thought that the debt would disappear too. I had to try to break my income down so I can afford to pay one lump sum to bills and then try to keep my car, house, insurance, and all that stuff. I'm overwhelmed with debt and I was looking for someone that could help me to get rid of some of the creditors I have. I called around and talked to George and he told me about National Debt Relief. I thought that was the best I've heard so far; he had the best offer 'cause I had talked to a couple of others. Their customer service is among the best as well.

I haven't really finished with them yet, but I'm hoping that I am on the road to recovery because I'm retired and on a fixed income. I'm getting too old to have a job but I'm able to drive. So between National and me trying to drive Uber, it might work out. Instead of sleeping two or three hours, now I can get up to about six hours a night now. That's good because I couldn't rest as that's how bad the debt was. Also, my pressure was not high anymore. And when they say relief, that was a big help to me because I had to find somebody that I can feel comfortable with.

They gave me some good information on who we have to check. Then they said my check didn't go through and that doesn't happen except that I didn't hear nothing about my creditors. They gave me feedback on a couple of others but I haven't heard from them concerning some of them. I would like for them to call me about the other creditors so I can know where we are standing. All in all, the company itself has treated me fairly. They have done what they say they were gonna do. It's been good so far.

It came to a point where I just couldn't even pay anything because I was back in school and wasn't working. I decided that it would be best to just do those programs to get rid of the debt as quickly as possible because it would have taken much longer if I did it on my own. I was going through a bunch of companies online, but I took a shot and chose National Debt Relief.

They were professional since the beginning and they've become a relief. I'd get emails or calls from them when they found something where they can help me. There was one thing that I didn't understand about the fees and I got the explanation after the second time we had a call. I didn't get to read through all of the papers, so I didn't realize that there is a fee until that call. But since having their help, I no longer have to worry about getting calls from collectors and I haven't gotten one in the last month. They used to call my dad before this, but he has not complained about getting their calls anymore. Now, I am working and able to focus on paying it off and starting up again.

My husband and I were swamped with debt and we needed to do something. The whole thing came from my husband losing his job and we have four children. We went through an 18-month period with no income. We had been doing very well, and then went down to having zero income because I was home with the kids and it set us back in almost every way. We were getting these notices from different creditors offering us different payment plans, and we were trying to do it on our own. It was too much to handle all at once. In essence we were trying to do what National Debt Relief does, but because we were just individuals and didn’t have a sum of money all upfront to negotiate, we didn’t have the power to do it. Some creditors were cutting back and making it really affordable and advantageous, and others weren't.

I contacted the rep at National Debt Relief and he got on the line with me. It was amazing how calm and professional he was. He explained everything and gave us a clear idea about the steps of the process. He helped us through some of the rough spots and let us do how to go about using their company in our best interest. Once we got approved and things began - and it’s only been a couple of months - there has been such a huge sense of relief that the end is in sight, recovery is on the way and that we can afford the process. I was getting ready to finish a very ugly and very expensive divorce and as an act of good faith, I made my now ex-wife debt free, and paid off her medical bills. She went through four surgeries with breast cancer. My divorce should've been final in 2012 but I let it ride to get her cancer-free and pay the medical bills and everything. I destroyed my own credit but I make enough money as a federal employee and that being debt-free here in two and a half years until it's finished. I know my credit score will rebound quickly.

National Debt Relief has an exceptional team and they helped me. I threw all my cards on the table and asked if they can help me, and a gentleman named Andy said, "Yeah, we'll make this work." We went forward and dealt with two other associates there on different occasions. Once they reached agreements on three of the nine accounts that I have in the company, they were amazing. They're prompt, courteous and professional. Now I'm making progress as we're paying things off, and it has ceased the harassing calls. I'm dealing the legal portion of this with debt. National Debt Relief's outstanding team and the outstanding things they do helped me out. I highly recommend them to anybody finding themselves in really horrible situations as I found myself at.

National Debt Relief took a lot of stress out of my life. I was getting too far behind and knew I needed help but everybody was very nice and willing to talk to me through anything I didn’t understand.

National Debt Relief started negotiating with me rather quickly. They told me that it could take 120 days or more but they actually started doing it within 30 days. It's excellent that the person that I was dealing with when I opened my account called me right back when I needed him to. They also made me feel comfortable. I was very stressed and about to close the account but even with the first two payments I already started, two accounts have been negotiated so far. They were detailed in their information, too. Reading their website was really easy, and so was the online log-in. I can check exactly what's going on with my account. Everything was quite fast with National Debt Relief.
