Quick response to application and explain the process very well. Staff are very helpful and very accommodating. I hope that this is the beginning of my way to financial freedom. I'm so excited to the future outcome of the process. I am preparing for my retirement and this is the perfect move to start to eliminate all my credit cards debt.

I was surfing the net, trying to figure a way to get out of debt. I got a new car and that put me in the hole and I’m still buying out some credit cards. National Debt Relief was the one that had the most stars and BBB approved it 100%. The rep that I worked with was very helpful. There were things that I didn’t understand and he explained it really thoroughly and everything to me such as what happens and when my next payment would be. They had eight of my accounts settled and they’re still working on two of them.

Since joining or whatever, I have had less than before. I miss my DCU banking experience and I wish I would have just figured out a way by myself. At least with cc I could pay and use. Now I pay and have nothing for gas, groceries, clothes. I am more depressed about my financial situation than ever. NO one calls me or emails me to let me know how things are going. IF they are getting closer on settlements. No follow up sucks. Kinda wish I never did it. I didn't realize all the fees every month. I thought there was a one time fee... I am sick to my stomach over this...1200 fee! 1200 dollars!!! Could have paid down a card with that. Done ranting. Hope I don't become homeless.

I got behind and the interest rates were going up. The reps at NDR explained everything perfectly. But NDR takes out an awful and keep from what I pay in. It’s 50-50. NDR leaves me a little more broke. So, when they’re done, they ain’t leaving me a lot of money to live on. I’m not very happy about that but that’s okay. It’s what they have and I signed the contract. I’ve only been with them about seven months and they’re working at it slowly. Nonetheless, I’m getting less calls from creditors.

I've been giving $250 a month since June and I still don't see any progress in paying anything off. My debt is adding up and adding on late fees in addition to the finance charges. My credit score is dropping more and more every week and now I'm forced to stay in an apartment that is increases my rent $200 a month. This is putting in more of a hardship. When I first made the decision to seek a debt relief company, I was nervous as to the quality and care that I would receive and whether or not this would be a legitimate experience that would actually help solve my financial problems. I half-heartedly completed an online request form for National Debt Relief and when I received the phone call, I almost didn't even answer. Well, obviously I did answer and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Patience with the process is an understatement. NDR's customer service is great, but the estimated time to have debt resolved is a little misleading. It took over 6 months and a lawsuit from an aggressive creditor to really get things moving, but once NDR provided clear direction and consultation I was happy with the final results.

I would call every months, sometimes weeks to have an update. I knew of nothing that was going on or even if anything was getting done. I recovered the settlement letter and forwarded it to debt relief. They were in contact with them all this time over a year and a half. Why did I receive the settlement and not debt relief?

At first it was a dream, I was promised nearly 30k debt to be paid off around $15K, and that is divided into 36 months. They settled few smaller cards, split those into payments and in addition of their fees, I was at my max agreed monthly payments. Their response “Want us to work, pay more monthly.” I was paying around $500 each month. What they saved me, I had to pay later in taxes because 1098C forms started coming in, basically considering what I saved as income, but that balance included fees and charges that credit card companies charged while not paying my balance off, so in a long run, I paid a lot more.

National Debt Relief saved me a lot of money and paid off one of my credit cards. I would not have been able to do that myself. They called me about another debt to be paid off very soon. I am happy with their services.

I was looking to make a purchase for a home so I wanted to clear up some things and my interactions with National Debt Relief went well. I've been in the program since January 1st and I've submitted a whole bunch of items to them. The phone calls from creditors have stopped. NDR got in through two of the accounts. One is completely paid off and I'm currently making payments for the other one now.

The services are excellent, they returned my calls or replied email messages within 24 hrs. Customer service staffs are very friendly and explain all in detail. Communication is perfect and updated me with any progress, both email and phone calls.

I am most happy about the two debts the NDR has resolved for me. I have a concern. I was asked to pay extra money over what I had signed on for originally. One payment of $3100 now and one of $610 next month. I asked if these payments would be part of my agreed upon payment. The answer was "no". I don't understand why I am being asked for substantial additional money over and above my agreed upon amount - and that it is not considered part of the total for the amount I was told at the beginning.

Everyone that I have talked to and dealt with thus far has made everything very easy and explained everything very well. It seems they are very well trained in their jobs. I also like the fact that a law firm will be involved in dealing with my personal case if need be. Everyone has also been very patient with me and was able to answer all my questions.

In my experience with National Debt Relief, I think they are pretty awesome. They help you take care of debts that get out of control with a lower payment per month, even if it's only by $100 or so. It obviously ruins your credit, but is so worth it if you feel like you're in over your head. Every time we have talked to them, they have been very helpful and informative about what is going on with our creditors who are still awaiting a settlement. It is a way longer process than I had initially anticipated, but we have about 2 years out of our 3 years left and have a ton of our debt already settled. It feels so good to know that they are working their hardest to help us out!

I don't have any other experience to compare NDR against so my comments are general. The process seems incredibly slow. If any research is needed that is on me, no service is provided. For the most part, collection calls, emails, letters have stopped but one shows up now and then. Just received one today. The debt is reduced steadily but I don't get any information that encourages me (i.e. just 1 more year and you're free!). Perception is, just another LARGE monthly bill that I pay every month that will never end. So, my criticism, I guess, is no personal involvement or encouragement. That would add value to the service.

This was a very bad experience. The first individual I spoke with who "sold" the program was not informative, did not explain the process, just started asking me for info and to email various documents, then emailing some back to me to electronically sign and send back. I felt like I was being handled by a used car salesman. If you decide to use this company, ask lots of questions, don't send or sign anything until you are satisfied you know what you're getting. Most importantly he couldn't/wouldn't tell me how much my monthly payments would be. Didn't find that out until the deal was done.

The only complaint I have is the unclear discussion concerning taxes. The amount that was forgiven was handled as income and this left an expected surprise during tax season. This information should be made clear from the beginning of the relationship. Individuals agree to make a set payment each month to have funds available to pay debtors the negotiated amount. This does not leave much negotiation room for taxes that may be due.

Realistically National Debt Relief formula works. However there is very little wiggle room in their formula. When I have called their service line I rarely if ever get helpful answers to my questions. It feels like they are reading a script to answer any questions that I have. If they do not have an appropriate "script" to answer the question then I get an answer like, "I can't see the notes on your account so I can't help you." If you are looking for a "partner" to be beside you to relieve your debt, National Debt Relief does not fit that bill.
