Misleading at best. I reached out to NDR preemptively to any negative financial impact due to a job layoff. The handling one creditor at a time doesn't make sense, as well as the not negotiating unless adequate funds are available. I was given contradictory information depending on the representative. I suggest that NDR does reach out to the client's creditors to at least acknowledge the fact NDR's services are being used. I have decided to handle my creditors myself... even though irreparable damage has been done. My recommendation, find another non-profit debt relief company that specializes in consolidation of debt instead of the one at a time game NDR plays.

Regarding the settlement on my final creditor, the same exact offer was proposed to me up to 6 separate times. Along with the same settlement offer, a request for additional contributions of money to meet the proposed offer. I do not have "extra" money, which was verbally and written in a notification multiple times. I entered into this program to help eliminate the debt, if I had "extra money" I could have paid the creditors off myself.

National Debt Relief is a very good company. They have helped me lower my debt and pay off my high interest credit cards for a lot less than what I would pay if I tried to pay them off myself. Thank you National Debt Relief. You are a great help!

So far so good... They have been real helpful, I love that they let you know when you are about to pay off a debt settlement. I also like the idea of having a date that I will be debt free. I would definitely recommend Debt Relief to anyone having problems with paying their overwhelming debt off.

The case workers at NDR were very helpful and understanding. They helped me get back on my feet after I went into debt helping my mother pay her bills. National Debt Relief has helped me relieve the stress of credit card obligations. I had to have a surgery and miss work for 10 months. By the time I went back to work my credit card debt was almost $25,000. I called expecting to be turned away. One phone call was all it took to take away the burden of $25,000.

All customer service individuals have been extremely easy and helpful to work with. They have all helped me understand the whole process. All procedures were easy to understand and no matter what the issue or question I had, they were very pleasant and easy to work with.

Please use my main email address ** for all future communications. The current email address being used is only for my work email. I'm still receiving phone calls, emails and mail from companies looking to get payments. How much longer is it going to take for settlements to be reached with these companies?

The beginning of the process I had a lot of help understanding the terms and conditions. I was able to ask as many questions as I needed in order to feel comfortable. So far, I haven't had any settled debts which is unfortunate but it's still early. My biggest concern is now that I'm all set up, it's hard for me to get any response from NDR. The original person that helped me responds quickly, but doesn't always give enough info or will call me really late in the evening. I wish there was some way I could view the progress or status of the negotiations.

So far so good with National Debt Relief. They have helped me settle debt for two of my 5 creditors I enrolled. I have been with them close to a year I believe. The only downside is the fees associated. I had accumulated close to $2,000 in my account with them and when they settled one creditor they took their "fee" right away which ended up being $1,400 so I was only left with a few hundred to make my first modified payment. The fees add up fast. Other than that it is very helpful for someone who doesn't know how to go about resolving debt on their own!

You took more money than the debts I owed. You lumped payments together so I couldn't afford them. You owed me money when I ended our "relationship" and never reimbursed me. All in all, a terrible experience and a huge mistake on my part.

I saw results within 3 months of enrolling in the program. I had cards enrolled in the program and I already have three settlements. I find them to be responsive and I never had to guess whether they were working in my interest! I would highly recommend their service.

Any time I need to call in everyone is very friendly, helpful and thorough. They have really worked to help me reduce my debt in a timely manner. I paid the extra for the legal support and was told I would probably never need it. Well, I did and they replied right away! A lawyer got in touch with me, with the creditor, kept me informed and reached a settlement on that account all within a matter of days. It's tough to see your credit score decline further, but it's good to know that the debt will be gone and then you can rebuild it, instead of living with the debt AND bad credit for years!

After having my identity stolen, my credit was destroyed, making it impossible for me to consolidate loans, and refinance my mortgage, as planned after graduating college. This put me into a financial hardship. Then, I took on custody of a family member when he was 3 days old, putting me out of work for 2 months without pay, putting me into even more of a financial hardship. National Debt Relief has helped me settle many accounts, wiping out late fees and interest charges. Couldn't be happier with the help they have given me so far and would definitely recommend them.

Was not explained all the cost expenses that National Debt Relief was going to charge. Not any savings over. Just paying them off myself. Left program and negotiated with my creditors and actually saved money and satisfied my creditors. Would not refer National Debt Relief to anyone. My initial experience with NDR was amazing. They were very prompt in getting me signed up and getting my paperwork. It looked like they would ultimately save me around 25% of my debt which was exciting! When my first settlement offer came through, they contacted me and we approved it. They sent the funds to the creditor. Apparently, the funds were returned to the escrow account, and we didn't know it. All mail was going to NDR (as it was supposed to). It then canceled the settlement. I called to check a couple of months later and then started investigating with the creditor. Neither company would accept fault. Ultimately it cost me about $4,000-$5,000 extra to settle which nullified all my savings except maybe on interest. So... that sucked. They also did a very poor job of explaining what the completion process would be, so I had no idea how much money I would actually pay into escrow even after I paid off my settlements.

My husband and I collaborated our credit cards and realized our monthly payments were not making a single dent! We looked into consolidation with hesitation but boy oh boy. It was by far the best decision we made. National Debt save us. Their staff and program are top notch!!! Thank you National, we are def 'relieved'.

In viewing advertising with respect to several debt relief companies, National Debt Relief, and in conjunction with reviews appearing on the Consumer Affairs website, as the preeminent force behind ethical, expeditious 'no nonsense' debt solution. Based on the enormity of their 'task' I was taken aback by the courteous, thorough consultative process as well as the ease with which I signed over my obligations to the expertise of NDR. All dealings with this company have thus far been superior!

So far so good. About 3/4 out of debt. Only bad thing is I did get a 1099 from one creditor for the amount they discounted and had to pay taxes on this, you also do get a negative report on the credit report marked as discharged. How long that remains on report not sure.

If I had not known about Debt Relief I would have been bankrupt and unable to afford my living expenses. Thanks for the great service and solutions.

My overall experience with National Debt relief was great. Their customer service was great too! I do wish that I got some kind of letter confirming when I was done with the program, however. They kept well informed on the progress of my account and what credit card was paid off.

Helped out a lot. My issue is with the process to hold a payment or change accounts. I accrued penalties from my bank because I was unable to hold or delay payment in a timely manner. In the end I did get out of debt.

I really appreciated and loved the National Debt Relief program. It help me cut my debt in half and saved me a lot of years of debt as well as half the money that I would have paid if I had not been able to settle and pay off my debt. They were also helpful with letting you move payments around to fit your budget.

My issue was that I was misled into believing that my funds were being drafted from my account according to my draft schedule. I later came to find out that no money was being taken and caused me to lose opportunity to pay off one of my creditors, because they denied many future settlement agreements.

I enrolled in National Debt Relief's program on July 1, 2017. Today is August 28, 2017 and 3 of the 4 accounts have already been settled. I worked with George **. He was clear and concise while explaining the details of the program to me. The paperwork was in language that was understandable to people without a law degree. So in a nutshell, I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking for a solution to making unbearably high payments on credit cards with high interest rates. Do as you're told and the program will work! I didn't even receive any threatening phone calls from creditors because I did exactly as George instructed and changed my contact information to the contact information for the program.

I have received no contact from anyone since signing up in January. I have no idea if my debts are being negotiated or if you're just taking my money. An update would be highly appreciated as I called a couple months ago and the representative told me next to nothing when I asked about the status of negotiations.

However, when the contract was signed in, I asked some questions on the e-mail but they didn’t answer. It was so slow on that process. But after that, I got the phone call and it’s okay. Everything's good right now. They have settled two accounts for me. I checked the contract and it's four years but I want to speed up the process. I will put more money on that in the next two months.

After my husband lost his job, we were overwhelmed with collection calls. Then we heard about National Debt Relief. They were most amazing to work with. They went over every page of our agreement with us. Every thing signed electronically! Such a relief to not have to talk to collections.

I always had a hard time getting into my account to see transactions or to look at it. Took them several weeks to help me out and finally when I was able to I could see it once then couldn't get back in... too many fees for help especially when their "attorney" got involved. Other than that they were helpful.

I enrolled in your program almost a year ago. I have been sending in extra payment just to pay off my debt faster. I have been taking advantage of and lied to by your company. Now that I have almost paid off my debt now they say I owe another $3000.00. This was not part of our agreement and makes my total payment what I would have paid my creditors to begin with. Except now I have bad credit for going through you all and not just going through a bank. This company is a ripoff and I am going to the credit bureau. I have called in and have been treated so rude and poorly by your people as well. Saying they take 25% of all debt for themselves first. Nowhere in your paperwork does it say that. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Great! For one creditor, the negotiated payment was only 1/3 of original debt, and Debt Relief fronted part of the payment. I had not yet built enough in my account and didn't have the additional amount to make the agreed upon amount. I am absolutely satisfied! Thank you!

Horrible. Innumerable phone calls when becoming involved. Difficult to get answers after being involved. Did NOT clear my debt. Left my largest debt untouched. Had to pay taxes end of year for the bit of debt paid off (of which I was not informed at the outset). A most unpleasant and expensive surprise. Would discourage any affiliation with this company.

National Debt Relief got two of my three accounts taken care of and this is the last month they’re taking care of one, but communication’s been lacking. They had six months of my money and they’re not communicating what’s going on with the last account. They were all excited to cut my payment in half for the next four months, but that’s not enough. And if this is the case, then I could just let my own accounts go delinquent, call and settle myself with the fees they’re charging. National Debt Relief is being immature ‘cause they’re overrated, they’re not living up to what they say they do and they could really hurt one’s credit.

I was drowning in credit card debt. I googled for National Debt Relief on the internet and called them when they popped up. So far, they have settled four of my debts. They call me whenever they need something like they need me to agree to a settlement. They talk to me anytime I had questions and I’ve had plenty of those. I've been really pleased with NDR. And hopefully, within the next year, I'd be done. That would be great.

I was happy with the way National Debt Relief settled my accounts in a very efficient and expeditious manner. When they saw I needed additional resources to handle all of the debts that were listed under my program, they referred me to another agency which was able to complete the process. I am very pleased that all of my listed debt enrolled in their program has been settled.

To date I have no complaints except for the time when I was unexpectedly asked to send an additional $1000 to clear out one of my debts. I had some difficulty doing this, but I did forward the $$$ and, happily, was "that" much closer to completing the program. When my credit card debts have been cleared up, it will be a happy time. Whether this is the best program for doing the consolidation, I probably will never know... It just will be a very happy moment when all is done.

National Debt Relief helped me resolve my debt issues and remove that expense from my plate which has been a huge relief. Great customer service, constant communication, and knowledgeable representatives made the process very easy. The only downside however, is that I unfortunately had to hurt my credit in the process, which was not initially explained to me when I first started the program. Had I known, I may have looked into other options so that I could maintain my credit, but in the end it still ended up helping me in reducing my monthly expenses, which reduced financial stress.

I got behind and the interest rates were going up. The reps at NDR explained everything perfectly. But NDR takes out an awful and keep from what I pay in. It’s 50-50. NDR leaves me a little more broke. So, when they’re done, they ain’t leaving me a lot of money to live on. I’m not very happy about that but that’s okay. It’s what they have and I signed the contract. I’ve only been with them about seven months and they’re working at it slowly. Nonetheless, I’m getting less calls from creditors.

I've been giving $250 a month since June and I still don't see any progress in paying anything off. My debt is adding up and adding on late fees in addition to the finance charges. When I first made the decision to seek a debt relief company, I was nervous as to the quality and care that I would receive and whether or not this would be a legitimate experience that would actually help solve my financial problems. I half-heartedly completed an online request form for National Debt Relief and when I received the phone call, I almost didn't even answer. Patience with the process is an understatement. NDR's customer service is great, but the estimated time to have debt resolved is a little misleading. It took over 6 months and a lawsuit from an aggressive creditor to really get things moving, but once NDR provided clear direction and consultation I was happy with the final results.
