Was doing good with them until the payments were too high because of some medical bills. I went to the bank and borrowed the amount they said would pay off what I owed and sent to them thinking I'd have a lower payment and I do to the bank but instead of paying off the rest of what I owed in one lump sum, they kept making payments and taking their part out each month. So now when the money I borrowed is gone I'm still going to owe them a payment each month plus a bank payment. I have no way of doing this! If they had explained from the beginning that this would happen, I never would have borrowed the money!!!

So I took a chance with NDR. Extremely professional and quick response. Just one month into this program and have received numerous calls from creditors "trying to explain something to me".

I cannot recall a more professional and knowledgeable service organization such as NDR. Their deep knowledge of consumer debt repair, their open, professional and courteous services, their attention to detail, their immediacy of handling issues that pop up and their confidence in handling all aspects of my plan all made for a successful graduation from the program in about half a year under projection. To say I was satisfied and would recommend them in a heartbeat is an understatement.

When I started, NDR seemed to be gung ho in getting my debt paid off for me. Now, I have only two more accounts left and haven't heard from them in months. When I inquire, I get the same scripted response. Makes for a feeling of very uneasiness.

Updated on 04/04/2018: When I can't pay my credit card debt anymore, I was desperate to find the credit solution. I had to go with somebody and read all the reviews. I read good things about National Debt Relief and decided to go with them instead of Freedom Debt Relief. I started with National Debt Relief in August of last year. During the enrollment process, they asked me about my hardship and why I got into a situation I got into. Their timeline is usually 24 to 48 months depending on the deposits that I make and what they can resolve. They're very nice and they have been very good to me. They worked with me super easily no matter what. If I couldn't make a payment, they would defer it for me if I need them to.
Anything that the negotiator can't get done themselves, they'll go and get a supervisor, and the supervisor will approve it so they're super flexible. Working with National Debt Relief has been a big relief and a lifesaver for me from paying almost a thousand dollars a month to half of that. They are the best choice for anybody that's going through credit card debt. I already tried to get friends to do it and they desperately need to. I told them NDR handles everything and there's no way to describe the weight that it takes off of you.

What they don't tell you is that the process of negotiating your credit cards for a settlement is something you can do on your own... This process doesn't save your credit at all and you'll walk out of it with credit that's ruined for the next 7 years and having paid them hundreds of dollars in fees. I finished the program and the employee told me "Well I hope next time you'll make better choices". Excuse me? The debt didn't even happen because of my choices but someone else who was involved with me but thanks for judging me anyway.

I have been very happy with the program, with the exception of communication when I will be complete with it. I applied for the program 3 years ago, with the outlook of being complete in October 2017, and now they have yet to contact the last two creditors so I really have no idea when I will be done. When asked, they say they are working on it, however, one representative I spoke with said nothing had been done with these last two at all this year? I want to be done with this program and wish better communication would occur when you are getting to the end.

The point of this company is to help you consolidate your debts. While that is a positive it can affect your credit score negatively. In my case I paid all my credit cards on time but between four credit cards my payment was $400 a month. It because difficult and I reached out to National Debt Relief. They stated that they could get my payments consolidated into one payment and the amounts due to the creditors reduced. It sounded good. I ended up only paying $20 less a month. I also had to pay them for their services. They said in order to negotiate I had to be in a hardship. So I paid to their account and didnt pay my credit cards. I ended up with 4 charge offs on my credit report. 2 credit card companies settled on a lower amount. One took me to court for the full amount and the fourth one still has a balance but they are no longer pursuing.
I removed myself from the program. The charge offs stay on my credit report which will not allow me to get approved for anything until my statutes of limitation have passed. If I wasn't young and naive I wouldve never joined this company. I could have called the credit card companies myself and negotiated instead of paying this company to do it. I also wouldnt have ended up with charge offs on my account. If you want to consolidate your debts then choose this company. But if you care about your credit score then don't.

I used National Debt Relief to assist me in getting rid of my debt as fast as possible. The program fees are very expensive. Their process is very slow. Towards the end of the program, I asked to pay off my remaining balance with them and was given an incorrect amount. At the time, I was not aware that the amount was incorrect. It took them 5 months to come back to let me know that they forgot to add their fee to the pay off amount. I don't fault anyone for charging a fee for a service, however, I do have an issue with waiting until 5 months after I thought everything was done and settled to be hit with another $2,000. I entered the program because I didn't have the money to pay all of my debt.
I was put in a bind to pay this surprise fee 5 months later. In addition, not all of my debt was taken care of. In the end, I managed to negotiate better settlements with my remaining creditors on my own. I would recommend contacting your creditors to try and work out a negotiation or settlement before you go to a company like this. Companies like NDR advertise that they'll negotiate your debt down, what they don't advertise is that you'll pay an exorbitant fee to do so. In the end, you only save a fraction of what you would if you were to do this on your own.

I am somewhat satisfied with the experience. The employees are always very courteous and I am satisfied that NDR has reached an agreement to reduce my debt. What I don't like is that every time I call, I am always being asked to give my social security number as proof of who I am and having to give this information on the phone is uncomfortable. The other problem that I have is that I continue to get collection letters every month from the collection agency even though this process has been in the works for over a year.
NDR has full access to my bank account and the bi-weekly payments are always available to them. In as much as I was informed that an agreement was reached, the letters I receive tell me that I still owe the full amount. This part of the process makes me uncomfortable. I feel very strongly that if an agreement has been reached on my behalf, then why I am still receiving collection letters advising me of the full amount of my debt? I am very confused about that. When I called NDR, the explanation I received was that until the agreed amount is paid in full I will continue to receive such letters. I guess I will continue to be stressed about my debt until I can complete the payments.

I had recently gone through a divorce and I accumulated a lot of debt which I was trying to get through. When I went online and looked at different reviews for different options, it seemed like everybody that used National Debt Relief had good experiences. The enrollment was easy and they were able to get me set up with everything. National Debt Relief is now working on lowering my overall balances on my credit cards.
Everything is going well and I'm happy with everything right now. Everyone that I spoke to, even when I call for a general question, has also been really nice and helpful. They asked a few questions such as what my income was and what are the bills that I pay, and they came up with a plan based on those. My payment plan works out really well, so my payment is very flexible with what I'm already paying. I only have one payment and it goes towards everything. My life is a lot less stressful since I don't have to worry about different creditors. I would recommend National Debt Relief to people who feel like they need help with the debt they have.

The staff was professional and very helpful. I had to make a few changes during my experience and the staff went out of their way to meet my needs. The only part of the process that was less than desirable was the cost. The extra charges and fees almost equaled the amount of debt that was marked off the account. So, I ended up paying the amount to NDR and then paying taxes on the amount.

NDR is very expensive; sky high service fee. We all try hard to build trust fund. Yet, the biggest main priority is to ensure that the 25% fee is accounted for first before credit resolution. They could at least pro rate the settlement fee instead of taking the lump chunk whenever there is $ in the trust fund. I have two accounts settled; however I was very disappointed with one of the settled @ 74% and the other was more like a payment plan with no cost saving. For this particular reason, I have pull four accounts from the program and went with another organization.

Although the website and follow up is good, they do not tell you clearly that they charge a fee of 20% of any settlement offer. So if you owe $40k, and the settlement is for $20k, they will charge you $4000. If your credit bills total $40k, you will pay these guys 20% of 20k. Which is $4k. I felt this was a very high charge and canceled everything. They do not tell you that the credit company will send you a 1099 and that you will pay taxes on the credit charges waived. There is a better plan, cheaper by far, and that does not ruin your credit, at CCC.

Overall I have found NDR to be doing a great job. My problem lies in the settlement offers that are sent to me via my email account. The email offers state; "National Debt Relief has some exciting news for you. We have a settlement proposal for your review. National Debt Relief has received a verbal commitment from one of your creditors to settle one of your accounts. Below are the terms of the offer."
Then there is a green box that says, "Click here to approve". What they don't explain to you is that a VERBAL COMMITMENT is not a done deal. That means that the creditor may reject it even if you accept it even though this is not indicated anywhere in the email. In my case I accept the offer only to find out, over two months later, that it had been rejected by the creditor. I discovered this when I received a second email about the same account with a different settlement offer. I contacted NDR and got quite the run around and several dropped phone calls.
My biggest complaint about this whole process is that I was never once informed by NDR that my acceptance of the original offer had been refused. Then I received a third offer for the same account that was $1,000 higher than the previous two. So now I feel like I'm being penalized a $1,000 for NDR not doing proper follow up on my account.
This prompted more phone conversations that finally led to a Supervisor who assured me that she would handle this personally and get back to me before the weekend. To help get this matter resolved, I granted permission to have the entire, originally proposed, settlement offer taken from my checking account and applied to my GCS settlement account. Since then I have heard nothing back from the Supervisor but have received another email Settlement Offer from a different creditor which I have accepted via email. I hope that this one goes through.

So far it's been great, but I am only 3 months into the program! So we will see! One credit card account has been helped so far! I'm just waiting for the next 6 months to actually see a change in my credit score! Only time will tell! Thank you and I'm looking forward to my credit score to go up!

I found myself in a situation with credit card debt that I thought I would never get out of. After my divorce I was left with years of credit card debt to handle by myself. I quickly discovered that only minimum payments had been made for years and years. I thought I would be headed for bankruptcy for sure. I made a call to National Debt Relief, and although it was scary at first, they settled my nearly $50,000 debt in about two years and my credit score is back on the rise. Thank you for all your help. I couldn't have done it without you.

I found the folks at National Debt Relief extremely understanding and helpful in resolving my debt issues. They followed up regularly, updating me on various accounts, consulted with me on structuring debt payments and were consistent in reviewing developments and/or changes with the status of enrolled accounts. I strongly recommend them for those who need this type of service.

I am happy with the program. We have paid off one of our accounts and we began in April 2017. Our program is 48 months but you are encouraged to make additional payments to lessen the payback period. I was upset with having to sign up for the program but the counselors were kind and encouraging not judgemental. I am happy there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have been very happy with the service except I was just informed that 2 remaining debts out of 5 will not be addressed until I have contributed more money to my account which will be in May 2018. 21 months into my 32 month agreement. Should have been informed of this when I signed up.

Would recommend and actually did to at least 2 friends. I was very pleased to graduate from the program in a little over a year and for the amount of legal support I was provided when one of my creditors sued me. However, the only reason I was able to graduate so quickly was because I took the Liberty Lending Loan offer to pay off my credit balances. I regret doing that as the interest rate for this loan is predatory.

They do a great job at settling the debts. However, the information their reps provide is inconsistent and limited. You never hear the same answer twice. Additionally they are poor at providing updates when things do not go perfect. I highly recommend them to settle your debts but you better have patience for their process, it can get complicated at times.

My husband has health issues and the money wasn't coming in like it was, so I knew I needed to do something. National Debt Relief team has been very helpful and great. They were able to answer any question I had. They reached out to me at least once or twice a week to let me know about settlement offers and double check with me. They were very courteous and were concerned about our well-being. NDR has been prompt and on top of things. Working with them has been a relief. I had my first settlement offer within a couple of weeks when everything started. So far, I've been very satisfied and I would recommend them to anybody else that's interested in doing debt settlement.

The volume of detail initially was overwhelming, but Jon ** took the time to go over the most important. The process was very well done, with the speed and sequence of emails, the highlighting, downloading, signing process was very efficient. Have not yet done the set-up for the account. The wrap-up was done by Michael (?), and he was disappointing. He read the appropriate content very fast in a monotone. I had to interrupt him to understand what we were trying to accomplish. This was a low point in an otherwise smart, efficient, personable sign-up process.
