    After I consolidated my loans with NDR my FICO score dropped from 640 to below 500. They only settle one account at a time, meanwhile the other accounts are ignored. With every payment you make some goes to the creditor. The rest goes to NDR high fees. I canceled this service after a few months and ended up paying mostly their fees. I DO NOT recommend this service for people with good/fair credit and with multiple debt accounts. It will ruin your credit and end up in court with your creditors. Deal with your creditors directly instead.

    I know we end up not paying our entire debt and NDR is there to mediate that, but when we need help it would be nice if we could somehow cut the debt in half and even less.     I had really bad debt, I owed so much and I got tired of constantly getting the calls. I have to get my debts taken care of and it's something that has to be done. I looked online and then googled debt consolidation and read about what was the best way to go and I saw National Debt Relief. I finally was stable with my job so I felt comfortable to reach out so I called NDR and get some help.

    I had good interactions with their rep. He was very helpful, answered all of my questions and explained everything in great detail for me. It was a nice experience. I like their website as well. I can upload the documents and if I ever have a question, I can just go on there, put it in, and then they either call or email me back and let me know. NDR has been really helpful. I asked them if they can make my drafting date the exact same day that I get my paycheck because that way it's easier for me and I know that for certain, there's money in there and they did that for me.

    They've already closed out three of my debts. They made pretty good deals on them, helped me out a lot and I'm still working with them now. I'm looking forward to being able to be completely debt free. When I check my credit score, it's going up. And I see these accounts that are already taken care of. It feels really good.     I had a bunch of debt. I was getting to the point where I couldn't pay and decided to look into relief help. The team over at National Debt Relief were all very friendly. I called and they gave me the information I needed to know and it just went from there. Their rep told me that it's going to take about 2 years because I have a lot of debt. I'm on my ninth month. Working with National Debt Relief, I don't have to worry about calling and making my monthly payments or coming up with an excuse on why I can't make it, because now, I can afford to make whatever it is they need. I was paying $500 a month in minimum payments towards everything. Now I just have to pay $300. I really like how they don't call me all the time. They basically email me and they'll give me a number to call if I have any questions. They have called me maybe once and that was because I forgot to make a payment.     I have worked with other debt relief companies in the past and have never had the level of uncertainty that I have had with National Debt Relief. I wanted to feel "relief" once I got on the program (I had under 10k of debt) and instead I had two different credit card companies send people to my door to drop off court orders or whatever they are opening a lawsuit against me... which meant I had to drive to the given court house over 20 miles away and deal with all of the documentation and fees that go along with a lawsuit.

    I NEVER EVER would have signed up with you guys knowing that would happen! The latest I've ever been on a credit card is a month or two and when working with other companies, although I might have paid a slightly higher percentage of the debt off overall (like 5 or 10% or something), they immediately began at least negotiating or communicating in some way with the credit card companies so that it never got the point of a lawsuit. I would not recommend the hassle, confusion or embarrassment of National Debt Relief to anyone in the future.

    I was a single mother trying to raise two teenage daughters, and because of the debt I was left with after my divorce, I had to use credit cards to make ends meet. I was keeping up with payments but only the minimums on over $16,000 of credit card debt alone. After several years of struggling with that, I discovered I had breast cancer and had to decide which bills were going to be paid. I could no longer make the minimum payments to the credit card companies or to the doctors who helped me survive. After looking at the only options I thought I had, none of which seemed plausible, I got an email from National Debt Relief. As a general rule, I don't trust companies that say they are there to help, but I decided I had nothing to lose. As I spoke with them, and after I did my Better Business Bureau checks and Google searches of their services, I admit I was still skeptical that they could do what they said they could do.

    They said they would have me out of debt within 2 years. I was sure there was a catch somewhere or that it would take my 750 credit score to below 500. Once I allowed myself to put my faith in them, I was amazed at how quickly and how well they took care of me. They were able to negotiate my $16,000 worth of debt down to approximately $4,000. I admit the payments were tough to make at first, but I was able to get a second job for only 6 months that allowed me to make the payments and have the entire amount paid off in less than a year and a half. Once I had everything cleared up and finalized my credit score only took a hit down to about 675 and within 2 years I'm back in the 750s. I've never written a review before, but I believe National Debt Relief saved my life.

    National Debt Relief has been extremely helpful through this whole debt relief process. I had 5 creditors, and it took 2 years for me to be debt free. There is 2 programs on how to pay off your debt. One is to pay a lump sum of money and pay your debts off right away, and second is to make monthly payments for me $650 for 2 years to pay off my debts. The monthly payments went into a savings account National Debt Relief had set up for me, and when I had enough money in there. The National Debt negotiators would talk to the creditors one at a time and negotiate a settlement. I had to go to court for one of my creditors. National Debt Relief warned me there is a possibility of court through my creditors, and they helped me through the whole process. I didn't have to go to trial.

    The lawyers through National Debt Relief did the whole process behind the scenes for me. I was so relieved I didn't have to go to trial. My credit score through this whole process only went down 50 points from 675 to 625. I am extremely satisfied through this whole National Debt Relief experience and recommended them for anyone trying to get debt free.

    I am now debt free. I had over $30,000 in credit card debt. I called National Debt Relief and told them my story and felt no shame or judgment from the person I spoke with. They managed to reduce my debt by about one third, some accounts more than half. The monthly payment was less than half the total of all the credit card payments. I had an issue with one account where I was served a summons to appear in court and that was quickly taken care of. The process lowers your credit score considerably but my scores are now within the "good" range so I am happy. This has all happened within the past three years.     After coming into some incredibly difficult times we were in a situation with around $50,000 in unsecured debt (which we had been paying on consistently and we're up to date). We were in a place where we had no income, as my husband was trying to start a business and I stay home with our three children (aged 4,2, and new born at the time). We had used our entire savings and all the money we had received from selling our home so that we could continue to pay our bills. We found ourselves between a rock and a hard place. It was either find help or file bankruptcy. I started looking at some options and after looking through the BBB and other websites for a trustworthy company the outlook seemed grim. Debt settlement may be more common now but it didn't seem like many people had nice things to say about any companies. So I called the one that had the most positive reviews. That's how we got into contact with National Debt Relief.

    I spoke with a man on the phone a few times before my husband and I decided that this was our best option. We were able to put all but one of our credit cards on the plan we worked out (the credit card was attached to our bank account and it was the smallest of our debt anyways). We have now been working with NDR for about 4 months and we just agreed to a settlement for our largest amount of debt (half of our total unsecured debt). I nearly cried when I spoke to the agent on the phone who explained that they were able to work out a deal to pay less than 40% of the total amount of that debt. I can't even begin to explain the relief I feel.

    It is our first settlement and I know we still have a ways to go but I feel absolutely confident that NDR is going to help us through. There is always a friendly helpful voice on the other line willing to talk with me and answer any and all of my questions with professionalism. This may not be the answer for everyone but with our credit scores taking serious hits from not having an income to pay our debt this was the absolute best choice for us.

    I was initially quoted to be in the program for 2 years. In actuality it was 5 years before I completed the program. Yes National Debt settled my debts but not at the percentage I was happy with, most were settled for just over 50% of original debt + late fees and penalties so it was incorrect to begin with. FYI, National Debt collects 20% of the final negotiated settlement. I thought it was a conflict of interest because while I had the right to refuse a settlement for a better deal. Eventually I was told that the attorneys couldn't do any better and suggested that creditor be taken out of the program. That totally defeated the purpose of going with National Debt if they were willing to throw a credo to out of the program.

    Also nickel and dime watch the fees for making payoffs and if you are served with court papers. They did the bare minimum, as a former paralegal I have settled debt for a firm and found I could offer pennies on the dollar with amazing results. There is no difference here except by hat that National Debt gets paid more the more you end up paying. If your expectation is to get a settlement for less than 40% then know upfront National Debt may get 1 or 2 to settle for that but the bulk of my settlements were at least half + 20% so I actually paid closer to 70%. I graduated from the program and hope never to use this company again.

    When getting set up with National Debt Relief, it was easy and the service was great. I felt like I was being helped. Since getting set up, I'm not sure I've been contacted and had someone check in with me since after the initial welcome call(s). On my own time I have seen that NDR had started talking to one of my creditors (by changing the phone# on my account to theirs). I wonder if they've reached out to me though. I get a lot of random #s calling me these days (which I can only assume are collectors), but I recall NDR telling me when they call, it comes through caller ID as a local phone number.

    I'm usually always at work when they call, and without knowing who it is, or a voicemail to call back, I can't answer any call at any given time while working. Not sure if this part applies to NDR, or it's just my personal experience w/ being paranoid kicking in. Wish I had a little more of a check-in process... like an email or a call/voicemail. That is all. I haven't seen any progress, with the exception that my account has money built up, so it's hard to give a real review on what I'm satisfied with, aside from the initial set up calls.

    In almost 3 years I've managed to get out of high interest credit card debts with the help of National Debt Relief. I had a lot of different cards and was paying the minimum and could barely make it. I've been disciplined and now see light at the end of the tunnel!!     From the very first call, I felt as if the representative truly cared for what I was going through and wanted to help me. We started the initial paperwork with no promises but an assurance that NDR would do everything they could to help. The representative made two follow-up phone calls as well as an email not to talk about the program, but to say hello and see how I was doing. I can't say how much that impressed me!

    During the course of clearing my debts, I was kept informed of every step along the way and there were times when I could not make the agreed upon deposit, I just made a phone call and explained my situation and they worked with me. The whole thing took about a year and a half and NDR saved me at least 60% of what I would have paid otherwise. I was always treated with respect and was able to pay off my debts with dignity. I have recommended NDR to EVERYONE I've come across that are having trouble making their debt payments.

    I like the program, however it's very difficult to get them to work with you if your financial situation changes. My medical expenses more than tripled (from $300 to $1000 per month) and I have to call them every 6 months and practically beg them to keep my contribution at $250/2 wks. Initially, I told them all I could do was $500 a month, and that was fine. Then they started nickeling and dimeing me - an extra $50 for this agreement, and extra $20 for that one. Eventually I was up to over $700 a month. I make $800 every two weeks, so almost half of my income was going to this. Then the medical bills changed. It's a good program but they need to be more compassionate toward people's financial situations.
