    I was under great duress when I call NDR and I was reassured quickly. I was in a great place with a very good credit score until my husband needed surgery, and was out of work 3 times longer than anticipated.     I have just started the program and already I feel confident after speaking with Kelli about my status of overwhelming debt. I know I have a long way to go in order to pay off creditors, but I am striving to do it even faster. I am determined and I am up for the challenge.     My husband had been very ill for a long time and we knew that he was going to be passing soon. And so, I was trying to get things in order preparing for that 'cause I was going to lose some of my income and I needed to do something with my high debt credit cards. I called National Debt Relief and the first point of contact was a counselor. You tell them about yourself and what's going on, then they do whatever they need at their end. He was great and answered all our questions so that I understood how it was going to work. From then on, my contact has been with the customer service people, and they've been terrific. With this whole experience, I get phone calls and things in the mail that are scary. NDR has been really great at working with me and keeping me calm through this whole thing.

    I was going to be paying on my debts for the rest of my life, but when my debt was combined into one payment, it was less than I was paying individually. The whole experience has relieved my stress level and all the things that I've gone through. My husband passed six months ago, and knowing that National Debt Relief was there took that burden off of me. I wish I had done this sooner but it's been a pleasure to work with them. I have mentioned them to other people, saying I would do this again in a heartbeat.

    National Debt Relief is willing to work with me but they want $300 monthly, and I'm on a limited budget of $870 a month. The girl who called yesterday doesn't seem to understand that when other things come up like if I have to have a tooth pulled for $1,600 and a new garage door for $17, and the dog had to have surgery, then I can't always do $300 month. If they subtract that from the $870, they would know how hard it is to live in. In some of the calls I made, the reps have been demanding that I put the money in. And then they told me I would have one paid for by January so I was hoping that would come up. But they said I missed a couple of payments. I put in what I could and now it’s stretching out another six months and I’m going to order some money go to it. They closed one account at the very beginning. And I've been with the company for over the year but I still can't understand where the money goes.

    I'm 72 and I’m not in the best of health, and I don't want this debt hanging over my children. And I'm trying to get rid of it and it doesn't seem to be disappearing very fast. And if I had $300 that I can live on nothing and give NDR $300, then I'll just settle it myself. I know they are working with and helping thousands of people, but I’m on the poor end of the spectrum. So, a little later on if it keeps going on, I have to go for welfare because it only leaves me $570 and I still got bills. And I don't think they care, but they’re trying to help the best they can.

    I'm a former school teacher. My husband and I built a very large retirement home that turned out to be much too expensive and things just crept on me. I thought things would get better and they didn’t. We started paying the house payments on credit cards, which is utterly stupid. We got buried financially. I realized I had to do something. When I looked on the internet, I saw some good recommendations on the site. When I called about it, the gentleman that helped me get started was very courteous. It's an awful payment but you just have to pay for what you do in this life and take responsibility for it.

    Signing up with National Debt Relief didn't take a lot. The guy took all the information. There was a legal part where I had to agree with any sort of charges legally brought against me and that there is an existing legal team that would support me. They sent me paperwork to give suggestions on what to say if I had a lot of harassment from bill collectors. That helped a whole lot. So, I didn't get into it with the debt collectors and after a while, they just stopped calling.

    We're getting ready to move now, selling our house. We'll really downsize. I think we can rebuild things. When we started out with NDR in February, we had four years and five months. We're already getting fairly close to the first year, so I know we can get it done. Out of the seven creditors, three have already been paid off. They were the small ones. A bigger one that is going to take a year to pay off has been started and has the second payment already taken care of. Anytime I called the company, they're very helpful. I'm very thankful for them and the way they operate. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Everything is explained very thoroughly, they really want to make sure you fully understand this process!     I was repeatedly told poor information, 1) That Citizens Bank often settled for 40%, 2) That though I had $ in my settlement acct that BAC couldn't be paid in a lump sum (yet they did). 3) They didn't tell me they were pulling my fee. 4) They told me they had to ask permission to take $ from my holding acct. 5) That I couldn't contact the holding bank, though letters from that holding facility sent me letters saying to call anytime and giving me contact info. 6) That I owed NDR $250 though the statement said $755. I wouldn't ever recommend this company. It's the old bait and switch. Super disappointed in their services and the outrageous things customer service reps told me over the phone. I asked for things in writing and they refused. If the calls truly are recorded, there are some gems in them.

    Getting set up with National Debt Relief was a good experience. I did all of it via email. I had to send them copies of all my statements and they got the plan set up for me within 48 hours. They set the amount of my debt and about how long I would pay it off with the payment that I can handle. Then payments are automatically drafted out of my account each month. But I've still not had a great experience because I thought they would reach out to all the creditors to settle with them and I've had a couple of them come back and I've had to pay them out of my pocket because they're taking me to court.

    I was a complete mess financially. I went through a divorce and I couldn’t pay everybody. And at the same time, I lost my job. So, it was a critical situation but I have been able to do side jobs and that allowed me to kind of get in the National Debt Relief program. They explained everything in great detail before I got set up. I got very good information from their rep. Once I got an email where I replied saying I want the program and I want to enroll, then I got a phone call and they walked me through the whole process. It took about 45 minutes and after that, I was off to the races. I completed some forms and then, the rest is history. They set me up with a $450 bi-weekly installment payment.

    I like working with them very much. More recently, I have to push back on some purchase because I had one of my credit cards come in and a block was put on my checking account and took some money out. So, that screwed me up, and they had been able to accommodate for me. I got my account on hold right now, and they are going to start taking payments again. They were only able to make one payment but they will make another one for the following month.

    There was some flexibility in the system. I had to take funds away from my checking account that was allocated for my bi-weekly payment and pay my rent and all the obligations that I had. So, I had to really scramble in. I called National Debt and I told them my situation and told them I needed to put my account on hold for a month. But I realized that they had already charged me for the first two weeks. So I told them I needed a break for the next two weeks until the following month so I could catch up with all the other stuff and get back into the good rhythm with them. They were flexible and I appreciated that very much because it’s the reality. I don’t have a full-time job yet but I’m trying to take advantage of the program. And I didn’t count on this kind of hiccup. But it looks like we were able to work it out.

    I've been with National Debt Relief's program for almost a year now. I got ill so I had no choice. I didn't have to deal with trying to explain to everybody. It wasn't my fault that I ended up coming down with MS and losing my job. I wasn't getting the full paycheck that I used to get. Until I fight with the state, I can get one-third of my paycheck. If I win, I get to pay four times a month. I'm getting paid one of those weeks so it’s a huge change and it wasn't temporary. The doctors kept saying it's going to be permanent.

    NDR helped a lot. I called them and they took care of everybody. My payments are decent and they take it out regularly out of my account, and then they call me every once a while to let me know what they're going to do with my money, who's paying and how much they're getting paid. So, the experience was nice. They offer to pay an extra fee for a lawyer just in case a creditor doesn't want to go with the program. But I never had to use it to fight with anybody because everybody agreed with NDR.
