National Debt Relief Reviews

NDR representatives/customer service calls my phone constantly with no new information. Most Calls are asking for action or information from me without providing me the information I need to make an informed decision about how to handle my account. NDR does not provide me any consumer guideline information to help fully understand what they do/achieve for me. They are not a helpful or coordinated service.

I have always been skeptical to sign up for something like this but after talking to them they put all of my worries to ease and were so incredibly kind. I’m going to be saving so much money in interest and pay off my debt so quickly I’ll finally be able to buy a house!! 10/10 would recommend.

Carter, the agent who contacted me regarding my debt inquiries, was very helpful. He was knowledgeable and understanding of my situation and made every effort to explain the process and the contract. I had been given numerous recommendations and received a few quotes from other companies, but found it difficult to get in contact with them when I had additional questions. Not the case with National Debt Relief.

They were very helpful in explaining to me how to go about and get rid of my debts on my credit cards. They explained the process step by step and helped me understand how I can get out of debt with their help.

When we contacted NDR, we were at our wits end. We were so stressed out with our overwhelming debt and didn’t see the end to our debt problems. Since being with them 11/2017, they’ve already started working with our creditors. They work with our budget so we pay what we are able to without having to resort to moving necessity bills around.

We got in over our heads when we were younger, had some trouble along the way and needed some assistance out of it. The total process at National Debt Relief was set up within a day, probably eight hours. We set something up, I came up with a number and they’ve made it work. They contact me to give me the information and ask if I want to proceed with what they’ve come up with. The program has taken care of the things I needed to be taken care of, and they’ve alleviated a lot of phone calls. We've taken care of two credit cards so far, and one is going to be taken care of this month. At the beginning, my credit score was rock bottom. But I've seen my credit score increase since we started in September.

I have retired, I'm not having the income that I used to have, and I had a lot of debt. I called National Debt Relief to get some information and they pretty much took it from there. It was very easy. They sent me a binder on the e-mail, explained every page, and signed me up. They looked at my credit report, saw how much debt I was in, gave me a number that I could pay every month, and said they would take care of it. Now I'm paying them and they're paying off my credit cards. Their negotiators are very good and they seem to know what they are doing. The cost, which is 25% of what I owe, is a little high. But they explained that and I don't really have any complaint. I just wish it were a little bit lower. Other than that, working with them has been making my life much easier and I don't have bill collectors calling me all the time. It has been a pleasure.

I had too much debt and not enough money to pay it back. I kept hearing the National Debt Relief commercial over the radio so I took a chance and tried them. National Debt Relief went over and collected all the information about the debts that I wanted to put on there and then all of my financial information to see if I was a good match for the program. And we were a good match due to out debt to income ratio.

I was having financial problems due to change in income and out of desperation, I reached out to National Debt Relief, and I’ve been very pleased. The cost seems fair and so far, they’ve been very helpful. The person that I spoke to was very professional and made me feel like I was going to be taken care of. I felt very comfortable. He was upfront and honest. He would either call me or send me an email and then we’ll respond. Their enrollment process was very simple. I spent 30 minutes tops on the phone with them and their customer service was excellent. They stayed in contact with me and I haven’t had any problems. They kept me abreast of everything that’s going on.

My stepson was in and out of my medical institutions almost three times a year. We had too much going on and we needed to have a deductible fast. Working with National Debt Relief was the quickest way for us to clear out our debt. They're very professional and they are really good at communicating with us. During hurricane Harvey when we had so many unexpected costs, we were able to defer some payments and that was really big for me. I really appreciated that. Customer service was awesome as well. I only wish this could be resolved a little faster.

I was hesitant to begin this process but felt like it was the best option out of the ones I had left. Randy was very understanding to my situation and made sure I was comfortable before signing into the program. He is very quick to respond to any questions I have and appears to be not only friendly but competent and informative as well. The Welcome Call rep was also friendly and informative.

The customer service from Jordan and Jaime was awesome very friendly and very helpful. I especially liked the personal feel you get from them. I have been in debt many years due to a divorce and raising 4 children based on my income and did not financially make enough so I had to depend on credit to make ends meet. Thank you for your help, and assisting me and to be on the way to become debt free.

The representative that called me was right on with her information as to how the services will be performed. Her voice was clear and she was able to speak quickly (as I had to leave for an appointment). I give her a 200+.

So far I haven't seen relief from debtors calls. I realize we can only see so much. I have paid over $1000.00 since October. Some of the debtors are very impatient and I am truly sorry that I cannot do anymore. If I had the funds, I wouldn't be in this phase of our life.

Explained to me very fast but clearly. Will definitely need to read info sent by email. Not real clear about having a lawyer backup. I will pay extra for this service if utilized? And billed 1st of every month? Will read fine print to verify.

National Debt Relief has been very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They have walked me through this process and have made sure that I understand the process. They also make sure before hanging up that I do not have any questions for them.

I had a great experience getting started in this program. Karl showed great patience with me and walked me through the entire process. He answered all of my questions and concerns and gave me very detailed information. I was back and forth about if I was ready to join the program or not and was always very professional and patient.

Mainly, does not respond to questions or concerns submitted. Have asked questions, some twice, and still no answer. When they negotiate a debt, you may as well accept it and go on. You're wasting your time asking them to renegotiate.

Our balance was 1,796 and the settlement amount was 981. The amount which was paid to settle was 1,430. Are you saying that I paid 449 in fees and I have only saved 366 to settle the account, which is only 20% less than I owed. Is this correct?

The experience has been excellent. National Debt Relief has been professional and proactive!!! Also they have provided information promptly when requested. I can finally say I will be debt free soon! Also having the legal advice from their law firms and support gives me a peace of mind.

Everyone that I spoke to was very informative and easy to talk with. They generally answered all of my questions before I had to ask and made the whole application and enrollment a straightforward and easy to understand process. This program helps you make a plan and stick to it. They negotiate with creditors so you don’t have to. As long as you do your part financially this program will get rid of your debt and at a lower cost to your wallet.

I must say when I first signed onto the NDR program I was nervous and a bit skeptical. It was a big choice and step and a lot of trust. I was worried that this company was going to scam me... But everyone I was wrong. This company is the best. They have helped me a lot. They have paid off several of my CCs with very nice settlement amounts. They have done so much more than I could. I was 20,000 in Credit card debt and thanks to the wonderful program of the National Debt Relief I no longer have these debts and no phone calls. All my account stuff are closed. I had too many anyways (15). I would and have recommended this program to others. They are truly the best. So YES GO FOR IT. YOU ONLY HAVE YOUR DEBT TO LOSE, IT'S GREAT.

So far National Debt Relief has done everything they said they would. The plan that they laid out is being carried out. My debts are being resolved and everything is progressing well. I can honestly recommend NDR to someone who is in need of help from their debts.

My first impression was the concern of the person assisting me by phone and her patience. I had already done research online and found this organization to be at the top in helping consumers so that thought alone gave me some peace of mind during this financially stressful time.

I was almost out of options for every decision and every situation that could have possibly had to encounter. I encounter them every day, everyone does. Well, I am now an approved customers/client of National Debt Relief as of yesterday. The process went fast at the beginning. Now I am on the second day and it feels like a huge rock has been lifted off my shoulders. I don't really know how this is going to be, but so far I can tell that it is going to be a way better option than all other conclusions I have come up with. I just know one day I was worrying about all 14 7 companies that I owed thousands to. Now all in one payment of a really good interest rate that I don't even notice.

Though the process was overwhelming, I did appreciate how quick a response I received and how much I was guided through the process. Some was a bit confusing but, was still able to feel like I was understanding it. The only really bad part of the experience is getting several emails while going through the process on why I should do it, basically ads. They were not helpful in my decision and getting my email inbox inundated with them just made me feel pressured, which my debt has already made me feel.

They do a great job but it comes at a price. They do charge for their services and it is not cheap but they do help where others cant. If your in deep and don't want to go bankrupt they can help. Overall it's not a quick fix but a lasting fix if you go from start to finish. I am on my second year and I am halfway there. So far I will stay the course but cant wait until my last payment. I am counting the days.

Karen has superior knowledge in answering the consumer questions for your business. Karen provided detailed explanations of the positive and negatives for the debt relief program.

All terms of legal agreements were clearly verbalized with copies available for review and tangible time frames. I call National Debt Relief to help get my credit in order. They were very helpful and I feel confident that everything is going to go uphill from this point on. I had talked to National Debt Relief and I felt that they could help me out with my credit cards and loans. When the National Debt Relief reps talk to me, they talk to me professionally. Sometimes when you don’t have the company or the office in the place that you live, you're scared because you don’t know if there’s going to be a fraud. But I love that they send me everything through email. The communication was excellent, and everything was good. They always called me informing about everything. I feel more comfortable with them.

I couldn’t afford to pay all my bills anymore and I was working part-time. I was struggling. So, I had to do what I had to and I reached out to National Debt Relief. And they are helping me really well. I should have had two bills paid off this month already and I'm starting on my third one. It feels so good. And hopefully, I can get my life back together soon. National Debt's team have been very friendly, and they keep me in the loop whenever they come to an agreement with one of my creditors. My cost is really reasonable compared to what I was paying before and I feel comfortable with it. National Debt is doing a fantastic job and I thank them so much because if it wasn’t for them, I would still be out there figuring how I'm going to pay my bills.

I’ve had some financial difficulties and have fallen behind on a lot of my bills and credit cards. So, I was looking to get myself back on track and get my credit score to return to a good status and get rid of a lot of debt. I have used a consolidated credit in the past and it was a simple thing. But what I didn’t like about them was it was very hard to get a hold of them. They also didn’t make settlements with my creditor. They simple figured out a round number ahead of time, and then I paid every month, but that was it. My debt did go away, but there were no settlements made. So, I looked into some things and I heard the advertisements for National Debt Relief and I looked them up online. They had a good standing with ConsumerAffairs and the Better Business Bureau. They seemed to be reputable, and had good feedback from previous clientele. So, I decided to give them a shot, and they’ve been pretty good so far.

I have credit cards debts and National Debt Relief was the first one I found. Enrollment was easy and everything was good with my payment plan. My interaction with their staff was good too. They called and asked if I was okay with the settlement and I said yes. Since working with them, things have been better as far as payments and stuff and I'm ready to have my debts behind me.

I had multiple credit cards. I was trying to keep everything up, but I was paying minimum payments and was not getting anything paid off. The process was easy with National Debt Relief. I sent in my information, talked to them on the phone, and they said that they would go through everything. I went through all the questions of what all I owe and verified everything. They then enrolled me and set me up on a payment plan. I’ll be paid off on the end of next year.

I called National Debt Relief to enroll on their debt settlement program and their reps walked me through their process. It took a couple of days and it wasn’t very hard. So far, I had two settlements already but still waiting on the third. The cost of their service was fine in terms of the knot that was settled and their negotiators who handled my account were all right. But they have not been the best at communicating. I was getting a call from a debtor saying that National Debt Relief contacted them and they said the offer was too low. Then the next thing I know there was another offer and the debt was settled but I was never contacted beforehand that National Debt Relief did an offer. So that was confusing.

I'm hoping this program will be successful and help me become debt free. Just started the process today. Everyone is really nice who I worked with and gave me the encouragement that it will work. The next steps will be hard I feel.

So my debt increased over the period it’s taking your company to negotiate my debt. When started program actually debt was just over $10,000. I have to pay you $1,000 for negotiating my debt and then constant small fees to just transfer funds to the debtor and the credit card companies even though notified in writing BY me NOT you, still keep posting interest and late fees, that your supposed to negotiate away and force the credit card companies negotiate on the actual debt not keep adding more to the debt. So I end up paying 80% or more back anyway. You don’t fight hard enough for us poor and we can’t even afford the heavy monthly payment you impose on us as well. I will not recommend this company. Right now my health is in the ** and I’m having to refuse medical to make my heavy payment each month to you guys!

I was not thrilled with explanation of delinquent accounts originally given. Welcome call cleared that up. Had I known initially I would have not continued with process. I am still disappointed with the situation but I have limited options to choose from.

Maybe a breakdown of information is necessary so that the reps don't feel rushed and neither does the client. It should also be highlighted during the "power of attorney" portion of the signing that it's a limited power.

They have handled all my cards and debt and so far we have paid off 4 of my cards for way less than I owe on them and still working on our other debt and they have had to deal with all the people who call to collect debt to.

You take money out of my account when you are not supposed to and cause there is no money in my account at that time vs when there is it causes an NSF draw to overdraw me causing even more problems. And then you have not been paying on all of my accounts and since you haven’t I am now being sued and being taken to court with the possibility of facing jail time. I trusted you and believed in you. You are not what you say you are and you now owe me money which I know I will never get.

The company's representatives were cooperative but seem to have strict protocol. The representatives provided assistance but can be in an unfriendly manner. The company's guidelines seem realistic for my case. I was able to set goals and put my mind at ease.

Everything is not as it seems. They do help you with your debt. But the fees are astronomical. Like 30%+. And they say you can set up your own account to use and you can’t. They set one up and charge more fees. You can’t get a complete report of your account, limited to 90 days. So you can’t even get sequential reports. Three months is only ninety days if February is one of the three. And their idea of a report does not come with sub totals of the different fees, charges, deposits, payments and on and on. I am glad with the help with my debts. Just wasn’t told that it would completely ruin my credit.

The customer service of the employees was very good. The complaint that I have is the amount of time for negotiations and paying off the outstanding bills. I began the program in March 2017. The first bill wasn't paid until January 2018. The negotiations took that long to pay off one out of seven bills. Too long.

She also did not call us or email us about missing our appointment. We started with another agent after waiting for 45 minutes. The experience with the new agent was nice. She was also patient, polite, and knowledgeable. I would say that the experience would have been near perfect if the original agent had called us right before our appointment to let us know what was going on. She already had all our information, but we had to work with someone else from scratch.

I pay out a lot of money every month and I do not know where I am in the process.

National Debt Relief has been working on settlements for me. I signed up with them and I pay them every month. They notify me once in a while when there's a settlement that they had reached, and I have to agree to that. They pay it and we’re done, and then on to the next one. I'd have to look at the paperwork to find out what they actually take for each settlement and it seems fine. The negotiators have been fine as well. Moreover, I don’t have to deal with talking to credit card companies which was nice. It definitely took some off my plate.
