    I believe the premise and intent behind NDR's plan is good. The execution and communication regarding progress with accounts is severely lacking. I signed up after a forced company position restructure that had me losing a considerable portion of my income and no longer able to keep up with or stay current on bills. What NDR doesn't tell the client when selling them on their services is the fact that accounts will continue to fall further and further behind and not once will NDR reach out to communicate that the customer is a client. They also tell you, after the fact, that there has to be 20-40% of the total enrolled dollars in an account before they begin.

    I was served legal papers to appear in small claims court on 3 accounts in less than 2 months but supposedly that never happens - go figure. I have multiple accounts that have yet to be contacted even though I signed up more than 1 year ago. If this is by design, that's not a good plan. NDR also claims to save money they didn't truly save. (e.g. An account that increases in delinquency with added late fees in which they claim to save more than the original enrolled amount versus what the new amount is with the added fees.) I have even paid more than the original amount owed after a 'settlement. There should be full disclosure and transparency with regards to how the program works!

    I had credit card debts and I didn't have the time or the patience to negotiate settlements on my own. National Debt Relief had a good score with the Better Business Bureau so I considered their debt consolidation program. When I talked to them, they averaged the amount of debt that I had and what they estimated they could settle the debts for. They told me what that payment would look like and what I would be paying out if I paid the actual balances with the credit cards. And it was a significant amount less than what I was currently struggling to pay on my own. So I decided to go with them.

    I started their program six months ago and the rep I spoke with was very friendly and upfront. I didn't feel pressured or any kind of sales pitch from him and I felt it was pretty much up to me what I wanted to do. Everything was explained to me and I didn't leave the conversation feeling like I had questions that were unanswered. They asked me for a list of my debtors and the amounts that I owed. Then they went over how much they believe they could reduce the debts and worked with my creditors to come up with a settlement.

    They also worked up how much it was going to cost me per month, what percentage of that payment would go toward their fee, what percentage of that payment would go toward paying off my debt, and the estimated time that they think the debts would all be settled. The payments come out of my account automatically every month. The same amount comes out on the same day so it's pretty routine and I can budget myself around it.

    They would send me an email when they have contacted one of my debtors and tell me what settlement was offered. Then, I have to agree on the settlement amount and the process before they would go forward with it. I don't like to be hassled or contacted repeatedly and that's about as much contact as I want with them. Then they go about making those payments.

    For a while I was getting a lot of calls from creditors but National Debt Relief told me to expect that and that I should not answer those calls. They said they will contact my creditors for me because they cannot have two people negotiating with me and them negotiating with the creditors for me. They also said that I should just let them do it and I did, though the calls from my creditors were a little frustrating. Other than that, I haven't had any problems with them so far and I would recommend them to a friend.

    I was in over my head on my credit card debt. I got on the Better Business Bureau and National Debt Relief had an A-plus rating. They had really good reviews. I was signed up in a couple of days and so far, I've got six accounts closed. And we're still trying to reach terms with the other accounts. Anytime I hadn't had enough money to cover a month, I just call them ahead of time easily and they'd give me another payment later on down the line. They’ve been pretty helpful and they go over every little detail with you.

    When I settle an account, there is an automated call. It would just ask me if I want to know about my terms and I would click yes. Then I would get somebody and they would go through my account with me and tell me what's going on with it. What they originally said is pretty much what they’ve done to me. And the cost has been pretty good. It's like a 20% rate of whatever you started off. They’ve done way above my expectations on settling my account. They're upfront with you about everything, will give you a little card on how to deal with your debt collectors and they're a company that takes care of their customers.

    My credit was not good so I called in to National Debt Relief. They went over my credit report then they told me how much it would cost to go with them. Enrolling was easy. They told me they would try to work on my credit with the accreditors and it would take like until 2019. I've been with them since the beginning of last year and I'm still working through it. I have to pay them $398, which is a little high for me but I’m willing to pay that so that I can get my credit right. They were really nice and I felt very comfortable working them. I called one time to change the payment date and they were really nice about that also. I get an email every now and then, saying that they had closed one of the accounts. There has been four of them. The service is good and I have less stress now because I know that my credit is being dealt with. They’re a good place and I would advise others to call them and give them a try.

    National Debt Relief has been helping me to get out of my credit card debt. So far, I like it. I’m on a fixed income and they’ve knocked my monthly payments down in half so they helped out a lot. The enrollment was easy. I really liked working with the guy I originally signed up with.     I am in debt, so I went with National Debt Relief for consolidation. They made the process easy for us. At first, they just kept saying a bunch of numbers, and I was like, “Oh, my gosh. I don’t know what we’re doing.” And so the guy said, “Take your time”, and explained to me, so I really knew what was going on before I committed to anything. I'm about halfway through already. The team has always been really helpful in making things just nearly possible.

    Every payment that I make, they are going to take $25 off of it. I am okay with it -- at least it is not a huge percentage and I'm just really freaking out at the end, like having to pay a huge chunk. First, they made sure that it was something I could really handle and then it was such a large payment at once. They made sure it was something that I could actually afford. I'm 36 months into it and my only complaint is the length of time that it takes. But I can put extra money on there to speed it up.     Updated on 12/14/2018: NDR has settled out seven or eight of my accounts within a year and everything's been really smooth, so far. Working with them has made my life a lot better and has taken a bit stress off my shoulders. Every month, it's like I'm sitting down with 25 different things I gotta go pay out and then I'm down to about four or five. Everything else is taken care of.

    The person I've been working with has been very informative. He's helped figure out where we need to go and what's the next step for me to take. He's also got the answers for everything that I need if somebody was to call me. If a creditor comes back, he tells me what I need to tell them. Also, if I got a question or concern, he's told me I can call him anytime and that anytime I got a question and if he doesn’t answer, he'll call me right back. NDR's price is fair too. I've seen what National Debt Relief's fee is and I've been looking at what I paid out and how much money I would have paid out if I had continued doing it myself.

Our account was changed and she had us sign a document and told me that I had to contact someone 5 days before we were ready to be reinstated, or a draft to our account.     Horrible customer service and even worse is the lies they sell. These legal con artists will not give you “relief” so just be smart and stay away. If you negotiate on your own with your creditors I guarantee you will get a better deal. They will tell you they get it as low as 30% but when you add on their 30% cut it ends up being 60%, something you can easily get on your own. Get ready for monthly fees for your account and even $10 charges each time they make a payment to a creditor. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I was much more successful doing this all on my own than working with this scam of a company.

    I was told they would help to get me out of debt instead it wrecked my credit and left me with a large loan. My recommendation would be to just deal with your creditors yourself.     I got very sick and I lost my job, so I needed to get my finances back in order. I heard good reviews about National Debt Relief, so I called them and enrolled in their program where I was able to consolidate my debt. I was able to pay off two of my accounts and I just have two more to go. Right now, we're trying to build some equity in my accounts. They keep paying off my debts. They took over. They contacted all my debtors and I didn’t have to do anything after that but just speak with them and pay them. It took a lot of work off of my plate having to negotiate. I tried to call and negotiate directly with my bank first and they weren't willing to work with me. Having National Debt advocate for me was great.

    There has been a lot of communication with my negotiators. It has been a good experience overall. The good part was that you are not pushed into accepting the first offer. They go back and forth for you. They give you the offer. And if you like it and if the numbers work, you accept it. If you don’t, they politely say they'll try again. And that was nice versus other companies that I've read some reviews about where they try to scam people and say, “No. This is the only offer you're going to get. You should accept it because there's nothing else there for you.”

    The cost is fair. And it's right about the same percentage as every other business like it. I told them exactly how much I was able to pay. And we were able to come to that number together practically. Working with National Debt Relief has given me some peace of mind. I would definitely recommend them. A lot has happened after Hurricane Irma and a lot of people endured a lot of losses in their homes. FEMA hasn’t helped and Insurance companies denied, so it's been a tough time for a lot of homeowners. I have told a couple of people about debt relief, and I also told them if they feel they're in a jam that way, then they should give National Debt a call.

    I was trying to get rid of all my cards and paying them off. I found National Debt Relief online and it looked pretty good. I have 48 months with them, since September last year, and I got three cards out of the way already. They answered all my questions and they explained to me the routine about the banks like how they had the right to keep calling. But the other ones that they negotiated with, they didn’t call me anymore. When I had to do one change on the payments, National went ahead and did the change for me. National has worked pretty well for me.
