    My husband took a big pay cut and we were trying to figure out how to get out from under a bunch of credit cards that we had. My husband called National Debt Relief, and we are on a program where we put a certain amount into an account every other week and they are trying to settle all of our cards for a smaller amount. Enrolling with NDR was easy. We had to get some information together for them. And it took a phone call or two and we got them the information. They told us it would be a wait while they started negotiating, and several months later, we started getting the offers for the settlements. And the last time we checked, we’re at 20% settled.

    Our negotiators have been very nice and they’ve been really negotiating well. When I asked questions, they answer them. And normally, either I or my husband get a phone call or an email from them. When they called while we were at work and we didn't answer them, we got emails and we called when we got the chance. They walked us through and told us how much we owed and how much they’re offering. They ask if we want to settle and then we just answer with a yes or no.

    When we were first setting up, they told us they have this global account and they'll electronically take funds from our checking account and put it in this account. And we have access to it all the time and we can check it any time, see where things are going and where money is coming in and where money is going out. National Debt Relief has been doing what I couldn’t do for myself. I’ve been really happy with the whole thing. And the program allowed us to have some relief and provided us with some peace of mind.

    I heard that National Debt Relief was a good company to go with so I went with them. They handled all the creditors for me, so I didn’t have to deal with it. I like the fact that they put all my payments into one low monthly payment instead of me having to try to get all the payments at once. And they set my payment to where it was doable for me where I could still meet my every day living expenses. The portal that they have where I can log into to stay up-to-date was efficient and thorough. So far, I have completed the program. National Debt Relief helped me get out of debt.

    I had a very positive experience with National Debt Relief. I got ill and missed some work. I missed some of my scheduled bills and then I had medical bills to pay as well. Also, the insurance was a high deductible, so it caught me in a bind. I then went on the internet and from what I read there, NDR seemed like a good option. The enrollment process with NDR was very simple. They called, did an online interview and everything seemed straightforward. There were no intervening hidden costs. And then after the online interview, they sent me documents to sign.

    Their cost was excellent and the rep was very helpful and our interactions were very positive. We talked about a monthly amount that would work and that was comfortable for me. We started negotiating transactions and they negotiated, so far successfully, with 35% of my debt. I would recommend them to others. They made certain representations, they did that and they performed as they explained they would.

    Updated on 05/03/2019: I have done a similar debt program years ago, but I didn't get the same thing as with what I got from National Debt Relief. I liked the way that National Debt Relief was set up. I also liked that I just have one payment every month and they took care of it. The enrollment process was really smooth. I spoke to someone immediately, and he was very helpful and talked us through the whole process. And every time I've needed anything or contacted someone, they've helped immediately. I recently added a new debt, and the young lady that I spoke to was very helpful. She managed to adapt much easier than I had even thought. I just called, sent in the paperwork and she said okay and went from there.

    The payment plan was doable and it was significantly less than what we were having to pay monthly for a specific account. I have 34 months left and the last time I looked, it was around 47% was resolved. Working with National Debt Relief has allowed me to be more financially stable and have more financial freedom. It's been a positive experience all around.

    Original Review: I have just begun this process. So far, so good. I do not have any debts settled at this time, but I am looking forward to when that begins to happen.     I liked National Debt Relief's payment term and flexibility, and their enrollment process was simple. They worked with me on the payment plan and we found a sweet spot. I’ve been making consistent payments with NDR and so far, they have paid off two or three of my cards. Being able to have that small decrease in payments really helps. Their reps have been good. They’ve reached out every time there’s a settlement or things that they need to call in. And I just log in on the account online to check most of what’s going on where I can also email.     I had credit card debt issues. I did some research and took a little assessment online and I was pointed in the direction of National Debt Relief. Their enrollment process was good. The person I talked to was really informative, patient and helpful throughout the whole thing. They walked me through everything and explained everything clearly. However, when I send out an email regarding anything, I never get a response in which I need to call every time. Also, when I send over a document, there’s radio silence whenever I ask if they received it. So I have to call to make sure they got it.

    I like the cost a lot. It was good and that was one of the reasons why I did the debt relief service. And, doing the flat fee charge rather than an interest was what sealed the deal for me. There’s no penalty for paying it off early. It’s all fixed in, it’s all one hard cost that they have to worry about. And if I had to worry about any sort of interest accruing over time, then that would defeat the purpose of that. So I was really happy with that and after all the debt negotiations and charging me for the service, it’s still less money that I would have been paying on my own to those creditors. So, it’s a win-win for everyone.

    Overall, National Debt Relief has allowed me to make manageable payments towards all my debt. Right now, I’m somewhere in the middle of the program and it’s going well. I have multiple creditors and having to change over all of the information to National Debt Relief was really difficult for me. Especially because there were a couple that I wasn’t really allowed to do that. So I have to play a little strategy with those people, having to do it on my own. It was intimidating. So if there’s one area of improvement, it would be on how to go about that process, just switching all responsibility from me to National Debt Relief.

    I wanted to try to consolidate, and it was easier to get under control through National Debt Relief. They are the ones that I saw the most and some of the reviews I read made me go with them for debt settlement service. They sent me emails saying that they worked this out and when I called them and asked about it, the representatives always said, "The negotiators are doing this, this, and this." The reps have also called a couple of times because they have seen that I wasn't on my account. The payment plan that they worked with me on was fair. It was the equivalent to one of my bills. It seems a little high but considering what I had to pay or having to pay off, it is not bad.

    Working with National Debt Relief made things a bit easier. I got some bills paid off. I’m not able to put any more money, so it is going slower than planned, but sooner than I thought. Overall, I would recommend them. However, there was a lot that I didn’t know about that surprised me about their charges. After looking over, it was understandable, but I did not realize there were that much extra charges. It’s not bad, but somebody that might not be in a bed of debt might be able to do another option. Research it a bit.

    I no longer have a roommate and my father passed away. I couldn’t put on my funds toward paying my bills and it’s very scary. I’m now living on my own on the little bit of money I have. I found National Debt Relief online and they were rated the top.     NDR took over managing my debts by me sending a certain sum every month.     My husband is a contractor and he has gotten stiffed on his last couple of jobs which put me in a financial position that I couldn't pay things. I started with the National Debt Relief in December and the program was for four years. NDR told me they had a central relationship with Chase and with Discover. Then when I went to call Chase, Chase says that they never work with them. They also sent me off to one of the companies they do work with, but they figured a payment that was about $2500 a month and I couldn’t live on that. But the payment plan set up with NDR is something that I can afford. I pay NDR around $1,400 a month and they try to negotiate with my creditors and they have gotten a couple of them paid.

    The team at NDR has been extremely helpful and responsive. They answer the phone and if the person I've been working with isn't available, they find somebody who will take care of my issue. Also, once we got everything set up, they would notify me with a text or an email if they got a settlement coming up. And I approve each particular deal that they make so they don't do anything on autopilot. There's also no prepayment penalty and I can't walk away from the bill without any penalties either. So the customer is very much in control of the funds. It's better for customers to use a service where they negotiate interest rates rather than settling off the debts for a lower amount. But for somebody in my position, NDR has been very good.

    I felt National Debt Relief would help me settle the accounts and now my husband and I can keep track of our debt. I send National Debt Relief the copies of all the letters and all the creditors that wanted to settle. NDR can say to them, "Okay, let's work with the settlement," and give them specific dates they can start paying. I've been with NDR for almost six months but so far, I'm still not paid and I haven't heard any settlement. I still get collectors and I'm still getting from my husband's side. So National Debt Relief hasn't done much.

    And when I told NDR to give me the update, they said, "$20,000 but with the settlement, it should be less." But they haven't given me anything and they're just going by that old account. One creditor wanted to settle for 50% the amount but when I went to the website, NDR still had the full amount. So it has not given me encouragement that they would work something fast. I was wondering if it's not working, if I should start settling the accounts myself or if I should go with another company. They might help me faster.

    I was well into debts and I did research about National Debt Relief. The enrollment process went well. They asked me and I asked questions about it. And they explained everything to me before I made the decision to go with them. Whenever the reps at National Debt Relief would have any news, they’d give me a call on cost and they’d check my email or the account. And if I received anything from the creditors, I would make sure to send a copy of the documents to my profile so that they can have the latest update. However, I had to wait for each account to start getting delayed and that took about six months before National Debt Relief could start doing their negotiation. And I had to have a certain percentage available in my balance for them to reach out. It was a little overwhelming but it all worked out.

    I was into the program for about nine months. I was making constant payments and increasing how much the payments were. And then I decided to get a loan for Liberty Lending to settle the accounts at once. I’ve completed the program and all my debts have been closed. But I didn’t know much about the fees after National Debt Relief closed the account and I didn't know how the fees were included into my balance. And at some points, I didn’t know where I made a payment and I didn’t see it on the account so I wasn’t sure where that was reflecting. But I called to verify. And then they told me where the fees went or where I needed to get those. The web page itself or the application could be a little improved so it would let me know these things. A portion of transaction could be in a different tab instead of the user searching for it or not knowing where the money would go.

    The cost of service at National Debt Relief was fine. And they have the website where I constantly tried to check in and sometimes I would call to see or ask questions. The application allows the user to be more involved or continue to monitor and make sure that everything is going great. Overall, the experience with National Debt Relief was positive for me. It was my first time to use them and it was good. I would recommend National Debt Relief.
