    My debt was becoming more of a problem and I’m not able to get rid of any of it since I’m on a limited income. I liked National Debt Relief’s reputation and their reps were very professional. NDR contacts the debtors and try to work out a satisfactory deal that they come back to me with which I can either accept or decline. It's an ongoing thing and they have rectified a few of the accounts. I give them money every month and they're working as fast as they can with the amount of money that they have collected from me. It would be nice if the debt was all disappearing at the same time but NDR gave me a timeframe of up to two years. They were very thorough about what they expect to happen.

    We are using a payment plan and we are making it work the best we can. When we have a little bit of extra money, we put that in there but most of time, what's designated every month to go in there is there so they can do their job. I would recommend National Debt Relief. If you have a problem with debt, they're certainly the people that you can talk to.

    The interest level on what I’m paying on everything was making it even worse, but I wasn’t making a dent in my debt, and the payments were overwhelming. I talked to smaller companies, but National Debt Relief was a lot more straightforward and they tried to explain everything in more detail. The enrollment process was easy and the program has gotten collections off my back. When they became aware of an old debt that popped out, they were able to negotiate that down substantially for me. However, they didn’t warn me that my credit was gonna take a hit during this process and it has gone up by about 45 points from when I started. I am now about a third of the way through the completion of the program.

    For the most part, when I have had to call the reps at NDR, I just had them clarify some questions and I had to make sure I don't say or do something wrong when there’s contact with the creditors. The reps have been very polite and very helpful, and they give me a thorough answer and make sure I have a clear understanding. Their settlement process is mostly through email or their online portal. They let me know that they got a confirmation from the creditor and I sign on and let them know if they can accept the offer or not. They’re quick and the process is simple. Cost-wise, in terms of their service fees and what they get for settlements, their percentage is higher than what I thought at first. But overall, I’m looking at the numbers and they’re still reducing quite a bit of the debt, so it’s well worth it.

    I was in a significant amount of debt and in maintaining my bills, I was not getting out of debt. I was struggling and did not have enough money to do other things so I needed some help. NDR had a significant number of positive reviews on google and on their own website. I read a number of them and compared them with a couple of other companies and their reviews, and NDR stood out.

    To enroll I did a 20-minute phone call with them. I needed to give them information about basic demographics, what my income is, my employer, and how long I’ve worked. Then, they looked at my credit report and gave me the option to enroll any number of creditors for whom I owe money to. They then enabled a budget based on what my income is and what my current expenses are outside of the debt. Then they came up with a plan to follow and a breakdown of what my monthly costs would be to pay the debtors off through them over the next three years. I am one year in, out of the three years and have already begun to settle some of the five debts that I had. So far, I’ve been very satisfied.

    Everyone is very direct and honest about what the impact of participating will be and I was very appreciative of that. Whenever I had challenges or questions, if I need to change a payment date or any time a creditor accepts a settlement from us, they are very prompt in responding and get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. Plus, they have multiple ways in which they can contact the customers. I’ve been contacted via email, text, cell phone, and home phone.

    The cost is fair. This is technically something I could be doing totally independent and I could get more of the benefit out of the settlement with my creditors. NDR let me know up front that it would be cheaper if I did the settlement on my own and I acknowledged that they’re making money off of my debt. But for them to take care of it on my behalf and give me this budget and process the payments, I think it’s worth it. I certainly don’t have the time to babysit folks for a month at a time.

    Also, they gave me the heads up that participating in a plan like this, where I have to almost ignore my creditors as my account builds up, would negatively impact my credit. In the beginning, it was a little stressful watching the creditors continue to contact me and threaten to ruin my credit, but because it was all information that NDR had already given me, it wasn’t a surprise. Also, they gave us materials to distribute to the creditors so that they knew not to continue to call and what was gonna happen in the future. After six months or so, everything started to happen exactly like it was explained and life has been less stressful.

    A lot of times what you see on television is not revealing. They’re trying to sell you so they exaggerate or there’s super fine print that you can’t read. I’ve seen a thousand commercials for NDR on TV since participating and I can say that everything they’re saying in the ads is true. Although the information that they say don't go into excruciating detail, information that is being advertised isn’t misleading. I would tell friends that they really need to be clear on what they can handle in terms of pressure from creditors. The program will destroy their credit and that if they are willing to take that risk in the beginning, it’ll clean itself up as time goes on. If they can handle that, then this would be a route to get out of debt.

    I couldn't pay my bills on time and so I signed up with National Debt Relief. When I was looking at different debt relief companies online, NDR was the only thing that kept coming up as having all the stars ratings, all of the reviews and being accredited. Nothing else even looked like something I wanted to waste my time with. NDR's rep talked me through the process. We were on the phone and it seemed like forever. I felt really bad because it was late but he didn't seem to mind one bit. He portrayed he actually cared and that he was more than happy to help me. That made me feel at ease and I was extremely comfortable working with him. He also explained everything very well. By the time we got off the phone, I had no questions and I told myself I could work with them and breathe again thereafter.

    NDR took a whole lot of weight off my shoulders. I do bi-weekly payments and those come out to be a lot less than what I was paying before. I just budgeted it in and now I don't even notice the payments anymore. It has been a little bit over a year now and I'm used to as soon as my paycheck hits my bank account, the money for the payment for this is gone. It's a lot more convenient and that way, I don't mess up and use the money for something stupid.

    Since working with NDR, they have already made one settlement that has been completed. Currently, we're working towards making another settlement which was the biggest one of all. I do have to make payments on top of my regular payments just because of the settlement agreement but it's saving me about $10,000. As soon as that payment gets done, I'm gonna be over halfway because this second settlement is so big that it takes up most of my program. So after this one is done, my program is just gonna fly by. I recommend NDR.

However, I was about to cancel because it was going on seven months and still no creditors had come to an agreement. Then finally, three of them did but one of them still hasn’t and it’s been a year now. On the other hand, the negotiator was polite and he had told me how the process worked.     National Debt Relief offered me a program where I still pay but they try to negotiate with the creditor to remove the high interest that I had. First, we talked about what I owed and then I gave the representative all the account information. Then I was told that for this program to work, I would have to be in bad debt so that they can go and do a negotiation with the creditors. If I’m paying, the creditors would not be motivated to try to come to a resolution. I had to stop any payments, not communicate with the people calling me and wait to be in bad debt. That was tough to do and because I was trying not to do that and I didn’t want to have to do that. It was stressful. I was hoping that they would put stuff together and do a payment.

    But it was no fault of their own because that's how the program is and when you’re accepting it, you’re accepting it. Besides, they let me know many times what’s gonna happen and what to remember. They were very thorough. They told me the program was going to negatively impact my credit score but ultimately, it will correct my credit score. They also provide so much information that you would want to ask over and over again sometimes. They talked fast and I tried to keep up at times but I had to have them reiterate some stuff.

    I’m paying $149 per pay period and I get paid twice a month so when you add it all up, it’s still about $300. But it was reasonable given what I was asking and they based the payment on what I could afford to do. They’re using that money to apply towards the money that I owe and it’s automatically withdrawn from my account so I really don’t even think about it anymore. I consider that that money doesn't exist because it's going to the company that's helping me, and I budget based on that. I had several cards and through this process, I've paid off a few. I only have one more that would be completely finalized, paid off and gone early next year.

    Credit-wise, I’m doomed for a while there but at least I feel that this stuff would be taken care of. National Debt Relief has been very helpful for me to not have to worry about all of that stuff that came down on me so quickly. At one point in time, I didn’t have this kind of debt but a lot of things happened. I had to get loans and I thought I could do it. But there was a family emergency and there goes that money. This program was a sigh of relief. It has been a great experience and I have recommended National Debt Relief.

    I signed up with National Debt Relief over 1 year ago. Twice I have been served with papers threating court action twice. This resulted in me having to spend over $80.00 on money orders, sending papers by certified mail, spending extra money deposited to my account to pay to this creditor more money. I have faithfully contributed $400.00 per month to pay my credit card debt. NDR told me that the creditor Capital One Bank is difficult to deal with. That would indicate to me they should have been on top of these accounts. I have never had a judgment nor been served with court papers until signing up with NDR. I am less than pleased with their service or excuses.

    Updated on 08/04/2018: NDR continues to provide substandard service. I was served for the third time with court papers threatening to file a judgment against me. They have been paid $400.00 per month for over a year. Twice I was told to sign the settlement agreement fax it to NDR get a $35.00 money order to send it to attorneys by certified mail. This has cost me $90.00 for both court filings. I hired them to handle my credit card debts to avoid the issues I have been faced with.

    My credit took a big hit due to a lawsuit and subsequently, lower interest rates were raised to really high ones. In order to protect myself, I had to look for some help. I didn’t wanna go to bankruptcy or some other credit type things that could hurt my credit rating. National Debt Relief seemed to be the quickest and best way to alleviate my debt without doing further damage to my credit score. The enrollment process also seemed simple. I was on the phone for about 20 minutes and then I had a couple of documents that I signed by email.

    I was a little hesitant but once I saw how things worked, I was very pleased. National Debt Relief has taken over the control of all of my unsecured debts and are negotiating settlements. There has not been any hassle at all and I feel very comfortable working with them. I got into the process of things and I started making agreements and settlements with places. Once NDR has made a negotiation, they would reach out to me for verification that I agree to it. It can get a little confusing logging into your account to see where things are. But I get regular communication from them about what’s coming out of my account, whether I'm making a payment to go into the account or if they're making a payment out of the account to a debtor.

    They also worked within my budget and took everything into consideration in setting up the payment plan. Then they gave me the option of doing a single payment or having two payments a month. They tell you what it would cost you for X amount a month and if they are able to settle for less, then it doesn’t cost that much. But they say that’s the most it would cost you and I thought it was very reasonable. The cost is also rolled into your payment and I think it’s minimal for the amount of money that they save me. For one settlement, they saved me about 67% and if they’re gonna take 15% to save me 67%, I would take that trade off all day long.

    I was choosing between National Debt Relief and American Debt Relief, and National laid their cards out in front of me and were very upfront with what kind of fees they were gonna take. With American on the other hand, I got this vibe that they were hiding something. On top of that, Nationals' success in testimonies were solid too. I gave them all my information and they looked up all of my debts. Then I filled out a big pack of paperwork and they started to ask how much my budget was.

    My program is three years long but they check in every now and then to see if my budget has changed and if I can add a little more money to speed up the process. I get my bonus every three months so I would drop a grand or two extra and that helps speed things up quite a bit. They're also quick-acting and they hold me accountable. I've been enrolled for less than a year and I'm trying to get all this finished before the end of this year so they're killing it. We have one credit card left to go to settle and then we'll be done.

    The communication has also been good and they've been solid. When I call in, everyone that I talk to knows everything about my account and I've never been transferred. They're all knowledgeable about their company and business. I'm satisfied with National Debt Relief. They've got to make money too but they've saved me money in the long run. Plus, working with them has taken that stressor off my daily mind. Having debt is never an easy weight to carry and I've carried it for a couple of years now. Now, it's being taken care of and I don’t have to worry about myself being harassed by any of the credit card companies.

    When signing up, Jaison who helped me was great! Very thorough, very nice, answered all of my thousand questions with great answers. He also wasn't pushy and was very understanding, which I liked. This is why I decided to sign up for the program. However, when completing the welcome call, the lady on the phone was not "welcoming" at all! Rude, snappy, and had an attitude. I almost hung up and told her I would call back later to speak with a different customer service agent so that I didn't have to deal with her anymore. Very disappointing.
