Everyone that I talked to from the NDR company was very courteous and knowledgeable as they walked me through this experience. Daniel who talked to me at first was very helpful and optimistic. The young lady (sorry, I forgot her unusual name at the moment) was very informative and upbeat. Enjoyed speaking with her. Like that fact we did most on the phone and on the computer to "get started". It is a relief for sure to breathe again and not get upset when the phone rings at home.

I've been in the program since December of last year and they've resolved several accounts. But those were the smaller ones. In July, I got one from the company warning and saying they will sue me. National Debt Relief told me that they were gonna take care of it so I've been letting them take care of it. I sent them the stuff that they told me to send in. Then they sent me a confirmation saying that they received it and that they were processing it. But instead of pursuing those people, they pursued other people. Then today, someone came to my house today saying that they were looking to serve me. So I had to track them down across county and figure out who this person was. They told me I would just need to get National Debt Relief to give them everything they need so they can come up with an agreement or what will need to happen.
So I called National Debt Relief and told them what was going on. The representative told me that I have plenty of money in my account so we should be able to resolve this instead of working on another creditor that they were working on. This account was with Target and I have another one with Walmart. So I have a feeling it's going to happen again. They're both going for this very aggressive company. I never even received any bills from them. Once I stopped receiving the Walmart and Target bills, I got these letters from the collectors' offices. I sent those to National Debt Relief and I've never received anything since. But now, they're suing me. But I don't know why somebody would want to spend more money to take me to court than how much I owe. It's like a thousand dollars. I don't know why they wouldn't send me a bill. It makes no sense.
It's frustrating because I've already given National Debt Relief everything I have. The point is that I had never missed a payment on anything ever so this was a really hard decision to make to begin with. And I put my trust in them to help me through this process. I should have handled things differently when I started to do this the first time. I would tell others to try to figure it out for themselves and to call their creditors and talk to them about it first before they try to do something like this.

I called inquiring the services provided by National Debt Relief. My representative was very helpful and answered all the questions that I had. She also followed up with phones calls and made sure I didn't have any further questions or concerns.

They were doing great up until it came time to have me sign documents electronically. The latest was authorization to communicate. They wanted to send it to me via email. Have me print it, sign it and then scan it and fax it back to them. Could they have made it a little more complicated? I got over by staples was going to have them do it for me. Pulled up the email, couldn't find the attachment. With the document. Called National....The gal I get on the phone sends me a power of attorney document instead... At that point I just hung up. Either streamline the process or forget about it if it's going to be an endless bunch of hoops for me to jump through.

I was very happy with the first call I received from Scott **. He was very clear and patient. The welcome call was good... with the exception of the young lady not having patience. Sometimes hearing her was hard and when asked to repeat she would sigh very loudly and speed thru it again which in turn had me asking her to please repeat it again. Other than that it was good overall.

Hi, my wife and I enrolled with National Debt Relief in August 2016. We had quite a bit of credit card debt. We ended up paying more than 80% of our total debt including fees. What is not told to you is that while they negotiate your accounts you receive negative marks for non-payment on your credit report which remains for (7) YEARS! So that means NO mortgages, NO car loans will be possible. We had to hire a second company to attempt to assist us to repair our credit. Which we are discovering is virtually impossible! Complete nightmare!! One saving grace was supervisor Naudia ** who helped us a great deal. Please don’t make the same mistake we made. Close an alternative method to deal with your debt!

When you are a responsible citizen who take pride in creating and maintaining a positive credit profile it really tear at your emotions and frightening you when mayhem strikes. NDR are good listeners. They're very patient. I can feel their concern for my predicament. Every thing you say is segmented, analyzed and questioned until they have full clarity. That alone is priceless. It settled my emotions and fear. When they say, "You're not alone." They want to be your partner, help you fix your finance and help restore your credit and your good name, my Lord, you pray you can get through the sign up before the weeping and tears of joy begin. I looked at all the different companies online and I liked all the stars that were with National Debt Relief. I also heard a bunch of commercials on the radio and how they were rated. I started with six cards and they’ve been able to settle at least two. I’ve already gone 9 months and I haven’t missed a payment. The negotiator sent me a pamphlet and everything about books with everything in it. I wrote a letter to all of my debtors and closed out all the accounts myself. It was done in one day and I haven’t been getting calls ever since. They took all my bills and added them all up. They figured out a payment plan for me to pay it all in 42 months. However, I don’t know if the payment has gotten through or not and I'd like to see where we stand. Otherwise, my experience has been wonderful.

I was trying to figure out what was going on with my credit and that led me to work with National Debt Relief. They were helpful from the beginning. They talked me through it and explained all the options thoroughly. When we were setting up payments, they talked to me about what the expected monthly rate was supposed to be and found out that it wasn't within my budget. They then started having me pull it out and make direct deposits. It was very simple and the program has been working as I expected. I'm also completely comfortable dealing with their reps. Whenever we had questions we called them up and they were able to answer right away. Going through this program has taken my stress level down after being anxious about being behind on creditors. NDR has helped us out dramatically with the settlements and I'm now halfway through settling my debts.

Against my better judgement, but grasping for a way to improve my income, I took a chance on a real estate program. I became a victim of a scam and wound up with an enormous amount of credit card debt and nothing to show for it. I kept up payments as long as I possibly could, not wanting to destroy my hard earned credit score.
One day I became discouraged thinking it seemed like my balances were going up, not down, so I made a flow sheet. To my HORROR I owed more money than I thought possible, THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to companies charging 20 percent or more interest rates! The sad part, I was paying roughly $1950 a month and when I looked at the flow sheet and realized out of that amount only $650 was going to principal I had a breakdown. After 24 hours in shock and feeling hopeless I got busy and sought solutions. I knew I could not do a bankruptcy. I went online and researched companies, thinking I'd apply for a debt consolidation. I found a company, applied for a debt consolidation loan and was turned down. The good news is that company referred me to National Debt Relief. I had already researched NDR, but didn't think they could help, but I agreed to talk to them.
After an interview and explanation I had all of my questions answered. I completed the paperwork and submitted an application. To my dismay I was approved that very afternoon, for my entire amount of debt. It will take me a while and yes it will cost me not only money, but my credit score for a while. It was hard to swallow letting go of a good score. However with the way NDR does things I truly believe this action will improve my score in the end. The best thing is that my monthly payment will be significantly lower, and I will be paying my debt off in 51 months. That in itself is truly hard to fathom. I slept well for the first time in a long time not worrying about my debt. The process is easy, people are friendly and not judgmental, and very helpful. I wish I would have done this sooner. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

They guided me step by step on what was going to happen and I have such relief that there will be an end to my debt and they are fast to respond and the best part is, if I want to finish my debt faster there is no penalty!

I took the initiative to consolidate my credit cards as the interest was getting out of control making my monthly payments unmanageable to pay each month. I have so many credit card bills and I just got out of a relationship so my income was cut in half. I was having a hard time making my payments and I was completely stressed out. I looked into other debt relief companies first and even had a couple of them send me an email saying they wanted me to sign stuff to go with them. But National Debt Relief gave me a more personal experience over the phone, so I went with them. I had to give them what I owed on all of my credit cards then they looked at my credit report and verified everything. I had to let them know what my income was and why I was having a hard time making my payments.
They have been pretty good so far. They discussed my payment plan with me, went over the base amount that I owed, and how much they thought they could settle my debts. It was kind of an estimate. They also asked me later if I was able to pay any more and I added an extra for the monthly payment but I know it had something to do with the amount that I owed overall. They have settled with at least two of my credit card companies, so I’ve gotten two of them paid for and off my records. And NDR is already working on paying a couple of others.
NDR's reps are very professional, very courteous, and always seem to be understanding. It also seems like every time I call, they ask me if there has been any more hardship that I have experienced that they need to add in my file to sort of keep them updated. If they have any questions about anything or they have anything that they want to settle on, they’ll call me, too. Even if I don’t answer the phone, they’ll leave a message asking me to call them back, so we have this personal interaction.
When I signed with NDR, I had no clue what I was gonna do and working with them relieved a lot of burden off of me. Also, there were a couple of credit card companies that were harassing me but NDR told me to give them their number and have my creditors call them. So, that has been a big help and things are better now. I know my credit rating has gone down and that was to be expected. They warned me on that. I was paying all of my credit cards before but they said that in order for them to settle, I had to be behind on my payments. So, I stopped paying the credit card companies and started paying to NDR beforehand. All in all, NDR is a good company to go with.

Updated on 05/24/2019: I'm about a year in out of a three-year program. Lonnie is nice and knowledgeable but kind of a little unsure of things at times. He may have been newer. So far, I cut my monthly payments, not significantly, but enough. They got my monthly payments under what I was paying out now, which was able to help. I was able to pay two of my debts off already. I still have a while to go and nine different accounts to pay off. While I still have many more, the program is still a step in the right direction.
Original Review: Due to my busy schedule, it took many phone calls before I could actually have time to speak and to dedicate to the call. Lonnie, the Customer Service rep kept accommodating me with each phone call and it was greatly appreciated. The experience so far has been fairly easy, they go over every detail thoroughly and answer any questions you have. On top of everything, this option to relieve my debt is going to save me a lot of money in the long run. I definitely suggest giving them a call to see if they're right for you. Updated on 05/04/2019: We’ve settled three accounts already. If I was on a really high-interest rate, I could have kept paying for the rest of my life and still not have it paid off. But now, the interest rates and my past few payments and everything is being negotiated. The negotiators that I’ve worked with are extremely efficient. Whoever I talk to could get into my account and know exactly what is in there. They are all tied in and they can look on the computer and see everything that is going on. They know what they are talking about and they do all the communicating with the creditor. They send their emails back and forth or the same way.
The payment plan is a stretch for me right now, but I can void it if I have to. I wanna get it done within a shorter period. I have a son that is taking advantage of National Debt Relief and I don’t know why his payment was so much less than mine. I really have to get them to lower the payment and negotiate because I was in the hospital and they’ve increased on medication and it is gonna cost me about $300 more a month for the medication because it is not generic. That put a stress on my budget, but I still might make it. I just have to be careful. If I notify them within five days, they can adjust my payment and extend my term. They are very easy to work with.
Original Review: From the first phone call my concerns were professionally addressed and within an hour I was on my way to debt relief. All follow up communication was handled cheerfully, confidently and efficiently. Anyone I contact on service line answers promptly and is capable of assisting me.

The program enrollment process is so quickly and so fast paced that when being to do one thing or another it can be pretty chaotic since one feels as being rushed. The process can be overwhelming and stressful as it is so getting rid of the feeling of being rushed to sign forms and get things going would help out in making one feel comfortable.

Honestly, I have mixed feeling about it. I appreciate the type of program that you are providing, but I feel like the customer service is not up to par. The hours that I can call is difficult to fit my schedule (not open in the morning before I have to go to work and not open on weekends - I have 5 kids, so evening are difficult as well).

I got an email from National Debt Relief due to my bad credit. I then went with them to get some help with my credit cards. Their enrollment process was simple and it was done mainly over the phone. I have a couple of cases to get settled, and I will be in their program for at least a couple of years. The representatives were good but their communication could be better to keep me more up to date. Their cost seemed quite expensive, but that has helped me to get back financially. So far, I'm not getting phone calls from all these debt collectors.

I needed help with my credit card debt and I looked into the customer reviews on different companies and National Debt Relief seemed to have the best reviews. I had heard of them before so knew that they were reputable. I talked to them and they talked about how my debt was gonna be resolved and it looked like it was gonna be quick. There were other companies that were less per month but we were gonna go way longer. NDR told me that they could get my debt resolved in four years and possibly less. My credit was gonna take a hit during all this, so I wanted to be able to rebuild it as quickly as I could.
The NDR reps have been great and straightforward about what the process is. They are negotiating with the credit card company to pay off amounts that are lower and the terms are laid out very clearly for me. One of the payments was about 40% of what was due so that was 60% off. Another was 36% and one was 41% of the actual due. I put a monthly amount in every month and NDR has been able to negotiate within that monthly amount. There has only been one time when I had to make an additional payment and it wasn’t much. At the time, I had enough to cover all but a small amount. Then, there was one time that they asked me to make an additional full payment which I wasn’t able to do but they told me that it was fine.
The monthly amount was less than what I was paying for and each month, I was saving a couple of hundred dollars which was nice. And they actually saved more because the couple hundred dollars would have been less than the minimum and I wasn’t just paying the minimum prior to that. So, from what I was paying to what I've paid them, it has been about $350 a month but if I had just paid the minimum, it would have been about $200. That was really nice and even during the process, the monthly amount has been lowered.
I had seven credit cards and my biggest debt was $9,000 and all the rest were small. NDR has negotiated with all but two and if the two are at the same rate as the five that NDR has already negotiated, they will save me about $17,000 on a $36,000 debt and that includes their fees. They've been able to negotiate very well and I've been really happy with them. Also, the process has been really clear and there hasn’t been any surprises. We may actually be ahead of schedule as far as paying the debt off. When you find yourself in this position, NDR would be a great option to help you get out from underneath your debt. I highly recommend them.

My wife wasn’t making enough and I was helping her with debts. National Debt Relief got recommended and we ended up getting debt reduction. The setup process was good. They take the money out of the account and they take care of it. The negotiator and I had the interaction and we set it up. National Debt Relief worked very well on our payment plan and the cost was very good. I have had a great experience with them. Two accounts have been closed already, however, she is still getting correspondence from Sears, JCPenney and Lowe's. Still, National Debt Relief has alleviated a lot of stress and I would recommend them. Although, I wish they would do better with the progress report and how we are with the other debts. They only advise us when they settle, but I don’t get an advice on where we are at.

Although I have just enrolled in the program and haven’t started settlements, I’m pleased with my enrollment and confirmation experience. The program was fully explained to me (risks and benefits) and all of my questions were answered. The payment amount and options were reasonable and it seems they are flexible with notice should a situation arise. I couldn’t get rid of all my credit card debts and then I lost one of my jobs. I didn’t wanna claim bankruptcy and I’d rather just try to pay for some of the bills. Enrolling with National Debt Relief was done easily over the phone where they just asked me what my bills were, then they needed copies of the stuff and I emailed it to them. They then came up with a plan for me and it seems to be working out pretty well, so far. I’ve been with them since around November of last year and I have about three more years to go. They came up with a set rate and they asked me that they had to raise it one time. The rate is now at $50 a month which is a lot but I’m okay with it.
Right now, Discover Card is trying to sue me and I took the lawyer section and NDR put me on with a lawyer. I’ve been emailing her back and forth. The NDR reps are very good and if I call them, they verify everything in making sure who I am and they help me out as much as they can right away and if not, they get an answer and call me back. NDR helps a little bit because I don’t have all the creditors calling constantly now.

I’m on a five-year program where NDR takes money from my account and then they take care of all my bills. The enrollment process was easy. They’re paying one of my bills 30 cents on a dollar. I get 10,100 and I’m only paying 188 per seven payments, so that’s good. It’s a lot cheaper than me paying it all. I pay 144 every other week and then they pay the down fixed on my credit card. They’re working on one of my accounts now. It should be done in October. But still they haven’t got it written down on my late payments. I don’t understand why they can’t do the late payments while they’re paying off the credit cards.
My credit score went up, but it’s not going up fast enough because the late payment is still there. Every time I call my negotiator, she's not there. I can't get into my account online anymore, and every time I call, I get an answering machine so I just gave up. The only time that NDR really works with you is to get you in the program and when you’re in the program and they’re taking your money, they don’t care anymore.

I was looking for a debt relief business to get my credit card debt cleaned up. The enrollment process with National Debt Relief was fairly easy. It was just filling up some paperwork. I mailed something, as well as did something online, but I did more through the mail. The representative was very knowledgeable. At first, I had a little misunderstanding because I wasn’t understanding the process. And I was gonna pull out, and they reassured me, so I’m happy I stayed. I’ve been in the program for a year now, and it's been very comfortable working with them. I have two more years and I’m looking forward to paying off my debt sooner. The cost is very good and the payment plan is very reasonable. It's better than what I was actually paying, trying to juggle all those credit cards.

I got with the wrong individual and bought an engagement ring and a few other things. I wasn’t going to be able to pay everything on time and I want to get on with my life in a couple of years. I did a little research and went with National Debt Relief. The typical program is 24 to 30 months, but they extended me for three years and it has been a little over a year now. They’ve settled with a few of my creditors but there are still two companies that they haven't gotten settlements with. They would call me and say they got an update for me but it's not and they just wanna update my information. It has been about four months since I've heard anything, so that's a little frustrating. Also, they're constantly asking me to put more money into their program, which I don't understand.

I was contemplating bankruptcy but I did some researching online and National Debt Relief's reviews were really good. I enrolled with them a few months ago and the most difficult part was contacting the creditor for statements. A lot of my accounts had been closed for a long time so it was not like I was getting monthly statements from them. Otherwise, it was fairly easy. They are now resolving my credit card debt and on the portal, it says I'm at about 40% in the process. I was a little leery at first because I checked on my credit report and my score plummeted. That was concerning to me because I was hoping that in resolving the debts, my score would start to increase. But it was explained to me that over time, it would get better.
There is one main thing that concerns me though. Even though the debts are resolved, the monthly payment amount does not change. So if I enrolled five debts then settled two, the net amount stays the same. I understand that part because it's based on the balances. What concerns me with that is if after all of them are paid and I add an account, then the monthly amount still wouldn't change. Once I've settled a couple of debts, the monthly amount should be adjusted. Nonetheless, the program is very economical because for the amount of research and negotiations that they do, they deserve compensation. And yet, the amount that they take from each account is not something that makes me say I'm being ripped off.
I've spoken to different representatives and I've only had one who was a little nonchalant and very matter-of-fact. He was very coy and snippy whenever I asked a question. He just wasn't feeling it that day. So I asked for them to transfer with someone else. On the other hand, they have been very cooperative in terms of the payment plan. I was injured on the job recently so I had to adjust the date and their representative gave me a date that I could make the payment by without losing my offers.
That was very beneficial because injuries are unplanned. I didn't plan on being off work and I didn't wanna start something and not be able to complete it. That's what would have happened if I had lost those offers. So the representative being versatile enough to go in and look for the latest payment date where I would still satisfy my obligation was very helpful. All in all, I would recommend National Debt Relief. Before resorting to bankruptcy, definitely try them first. Even though the credit score is really affected negatively initially, it gives you a way of settling your debts. At least they're settled and not all just hanging around out there.

James, you're correct: the Welcome Call does reiterate the same information you were given by your enrollment agent the day before. This is intentional. In the initial stages of the program, there's a lot of information to retain and we want to make sure that you have the best possible understanding of this program and what you've signed up for. We also want to make sure you didn't miss anything from your conversation with the enrollment agent. The purpose of these calls isn't to annoy or irritate you; it's to make sure you have all the tools you need to be as successful as possible in your goal of becoming debt-free. When I was out of work and my debt kept piling up, I saw this company's services as a relief. I had been with another debt consolidation company before but they took $3,000 of my money without paying anything. So I was very nervous about doing this with National Debt Relief. But with this company, I'm putting the money in paying the debt off myself. I get to go on to my account and monitor it myself to see where it's going. That was one thing that I liked. Instead of them doing all the work, I felt like I was participating too.
The enrollment was simple too, and when I needed help, somebody walked me through it. The representative I worked with was really good as well. If I had any questions, he explained it to me. He didn't make me feel stupid when I was asking questions that I didn't understand. He would break it down to me and he did that in a way where he wasn't trying to push it and sell it. But it was so informative that he even called back the next day to ask me if I had logged back onto my account and if I had any issues. It was so well-informed and very professional. Before I got off the phone, I knew we were on the same page.
I'm just about done with the program now, and it has been paying off my creditors and working out a deal to get the amount lowered. Plus my creditors haven't bothered me at all. I ran into one problem with my last debt though. National Debt Relief had gotten $1000 off and they called me, asking if I would like to accept or refuse it. I had been out of work for a couple of weeks and I had two shoulder surgeries. I was still able to make payments which they were checking it out of my bank account draft. But I asked if I could refuse the offer. The representative asked why and I told her that I was out of work again. Then she told me that she would make me talk to her supervisor because I rejected the offer.
The supervisor asked why and I told her that I was out of work and I didn't know how long it was gonna be. It could last up to eight weeks. She was like, "Well, I'll note that but you know, we can't guarantee." If I wanted a guarantee, I would have talked to Jesus about it. It was something that was out of my control and I didn't wanna go ahead, sign up and say that I would pay this amount of money. At that time, I was letting my grocery slide and cutting back on my food. I had to have gas to get to rehab and the doctor's appointments too. But that was the only time I had an issue. I would still refer National Debt Relief highly.

I got laid off a while back, and I was out for about three months. I got behind on everything and tried to catch up ourselves, but it wasn’t working. I went to National Debt Relief as they had the best reviews that I saw out of everybody. During the enrollment, my wife handled all the paperwork, as far as all the signing. I talked to the representative a couple of times and they called me whenever a card has been settled. Whenever they’re ready to settle another one, they will call me and let me know where the payments are going. They always get a hold of me about everything and everybody has been pretty helpful. The payment plan works out well too. All my cards are paid off except for a couple of them. The only thing that concerned me is the card we're working on now. My payments are actually higher than what they said they are gonna be. But other than that, I'm getting out of debt and the cost is good.

I researched and read majority of the success stories, and the debt program that I was in wasn't working out for me so I looked into National Debt Relief. Everything went smoothly on the enrollment process with them. I spoke with the representative and they did everything through phone or online by emails. There were multiple persons I spoke with and everyone I called tried their best to help my situation. They contacted my creditors and negotiated with them. I gave the information such as the payment plan, they did their research and worked accordingly. My debt is being paid and I don't have to pay as much as I would have to pay on a regular. I've been in the program for four months and it shows that everything is being deducted. It’s good to know that it’s working out that way. National Debt Relief gave me debt freedom. My experience has been excellent so far and I would recommend them to friends.

Found the verbiage, emails and documentation to be redundant and confusing at times. Too much to absorb in a short period of time and not fully understanding all of the agreements. Found myself saying "OK" when I should have been saying "Hold On". Reps were very pleasant at all times, it is just the process that should be streamlined and simplified.

I was overwhelmed in debt and couldn't figure out a way to fix my problem. After doing some research about debt relief programs and bankruptcy I found NDR to be the best resolution for me.
