I looked at National Debt Relief reviews and I researched on the internet. When I spoke with another company, they were just very rude on the phone. I enrolled with National Debt Relief and the process was easy. I emailed them and they called me within a couple of hours. We started getting the process set up like going over all my debts. Now, I've already had two debts paid off. I have at least four more to go, but I know two other companies they're in negotiation with. The representatives I work with have all been very friendly and helpful. The cost of the service is worth it too. I feel a lot less stressed because things are getting taken care of.

When looking for Debt Consolidation loans, we kept hearing the same thing: "Too much money being used in active credit accounts." Surely, this is the exact reason most people look to take out a debt-consolidation loan? To free themselves from the crushing burden of crazy interest rates. After being referred to National Debt Relief, the people we spoke to were calm, courteous, and carefully explained why another loan wasn't our best option. We are now enrolled in the program, and hope for results as fast and efficient as the sign-up process was.

I enrolled with National Debt Relief over the phone and they sent me paperwork to sign. I also gave them access to my social security. I'm trying to get debt-free and with all my debt, they said that paying it off could take three years. I started this year and I like the program so far. Two or three of my debt have already been settled. My interactions with the staff are straightforward and I only talked to them on the phone when they need me. They just let me know what their settling on right now and if I wanna take the offer or not. I've got good experience with National Debt Relief.

Being in my mid-20s and in as much debt as I was in, I figured that I had to do something. I tried enrolling with National Debt Relief and it was a very easy experience. It needed quite a bit of information, but nothing that took hours to complete. Since signing up, I've gotten a lot of my collections taken care of and a little bit over half of my debt has been reconciled already. That's been a very big plus for me 'cause I'm watching my credit report get cleaned up and my credit score starting to be affected in a positive way. During the process, I get a notification through email about one of my debts having an offer as well as an option to approve the offer amount. That makes it easier for me. If for whatever reason I don't have access to email, I get a courtesy call from National Debt Relief. Overall, I'm extremely happy with NDR's service.

I came across National Debt Relief while doing some research on the web. I considered other processes, but whenever I gave NDR a call, they went through all the details and it wasn't like putting everything on one loan versus leaving it as is or putting everything into a different type of debt. So, I signed up with their program and they mentioned that it would take a year and a half to two years.
Everything was simplistic with the enrollment process and nothing was super difficult. I called them a couple of times and it was easy to get ahold of the people there. I asked the reps many questions and everything was answered to my liking. Generally, they've asked if I've had any hardships and they've explained things. I had to change the payment date and they've been pretty decent about that. At this point, I've been able to settle two accounts. The fact that I can get out of debt is impressive. At first, I was kind of iffy about working with NDR, but obviously things are being resolved, so I'm definitely more comfortable with them now, especially once I got my first settlement offer. So far, I've had a good experience with NDR and their program has been helpful for sure.

Experience wasn't bad but wasn't anything special. Felt like I was being read a script. Person on the other end was not very personable. Just another person and call that had to go over the intro. Talking with Marvo initially he felt sincere and caring of what was going on.

Had an excellent experience dealing with several account representatives. Each was extremely help and knowledgeable about what they were doing. Each went beyond making sure I understood everything involved and what I needed to do. Work has dropped off considerably and wasn't sure how was going to get back on feet to rebuild my credit. The Enrollment Process with NDR has been exceptional! I felt that the representatives were really trying to help me come out on top of my financial situation. The Welcome Call experience with Simon was superb! He was very friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and forthcoming with information to help alleviate any anxiety he could obviously tell I was experiencing; and he answered all of my questions in detail and didn't mind that we took longer than the 15 min they normally allot for the call. I applied for National Debt Relief's debt consolidation program for my credit cards. I told them my different accounts and they told me how long it would take to pay them off. And then, they sent me a welcome letter. The negotiator who helped me sign up with NDR, John, was friendly and he made the process easy. He told me what my total payoff was and asked me if I could make that monthly payment. I am impressed with their customer service, but I wish their reps didn't read off a script most of the time. In addition, they should not have general answers for everything. If I were to ask them a question that isn't part of the script, they would never give me an answer.
There have been about three times I called, and I never got answers to my questions because they were reading a script. They didn’t know how to not read the script or how not to answer the question. They should've told me that they don't handle my question and that they would connect me to the department that handles it. Other than that, I’ll do the program all over again with National Debt Relief.

My wife and I were way over our heads. We made phone calls to creditors, but they didn't wanna work with us. They wanted their whole amount or it was, "I'll see you in court." We were also starting to get some phone calls, so, at that point, I told my wife that we needed to do something. I started looking at debt relief and researched about it. I got a few checks on the internet and I felt comfortable with National Debt Relief. They sent over some documents for me to sign, then I signed and sent them off. I told them which accounts needed to be handled and they wanted anything with the balance higher than $500, so I included all of those. We had heavy credit card debt and we gave them all the information through email and faxed back and forth. They provided a debt reduction program and we are around 10 months into it now. They are handling my debt fine. They've already paid off quite a bit for us already, and not just the small ones.
The negotiators were very helpful and understanding. They wanted to find out what created my hardships so they could send it to their underwriters. They were really concerned about how we got to the point, why we got to the point and what our options were. They came up with a number and they said that within four years, our debt could be paid off by paying the amount, and it has been working out great. They said that once my debt was paid off, they would figure the amount. They also mentioned that I signed up for some fees like legal protection and a few extra things added in. Everything was very pleasant and they did a great job. They've also been very good with customer service. I could just make a phone call on it right away. I'm overall pleased so far and I would recommend them. Working with them has dropped my credit score by around 200 points, but at this time in my life, I've got everything I need.

Updated on 06/23/2023: I am so happy to be resolving all of my debt with NDR program. The process has been very easy to follow, my debt specialist, Israel ** was amazing. He walked me through everything. Answered any questions I had. He made sure I understood everything before moving to the next step. My payment plan is something I can afford. NDR sets you up to succeed. Thank you Israel and NDR.

I'm in debt bad didn't know where to turn. National Debt Relief they were more than happy to offer help. They're very understanding. They pulled up my credit and went over every one step by step. Offered to set up a payment plan that fits my budget to make sure that we can make those payments. I would recommend National Debt Relief for all your debt needs.

I researched various debt relief agencies and decided on National Debt Relief because they were always at the top of the list of recommended providers with The Better Business Bureau and Customer Reviews among others. I have only just signed up, but already I am impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the representatives whom I have talked to, namely, Marvo ** and Nicole (I can't remember Nicole's last name). They were both informed and able to answer my questions patiently and satisfactorily. NDR's policy of going over the entire contract with you point by point to explain it and answer questions before having you sign took out the anxiety usually associated with signing such things.
Additionally, I had a day to think about it and re-read the contract on my own before actually committing myself to it. Not that there is much of a risk because NDR will allow you to cancel at any time with no penalties or fees. If the process continues with this kind of professionalism and care, I will be very pleased indeed. I will keep everyone posted as we continue this journey.

There was a time when we had too many bills and not enough money. We enrolled with National Debt Relief and their lady rep came and told us all about their program. She had us write down all our debts and took into consideration what we were trying to pay off at a lesser debt but also what we still had going out. I'm also really happy with the cost of the service thus far and NDR has been doing a good job. I recommend others to try this service. NDR has the interest of their customers at heart. They're not out to take people's money nor do they make people feel like they're down on the bottom of the totem pole and they would look down their nose at them.

I have some credit cards that won't let other companies to make a deal with the other companies, but they deal with National Debt Relief. I gave NDR a try and they got all my credit cards consolidated into just one debt. I'm in the beginning of the process and it's just less than a year. The cost of the service is fair for the quality of service.

If you’re looking for professional and knowledgeable counselors, DO NOT use NDR! I have NO idea how they get the rating they do, but my experience not only got me placed in the troublemakers' office, but probably shortened my life by a few years thanks to the stress of dealing with such ridiculously undertrained personnel. I feel bad for them. Consistent incorrect information was given to me the entire time I was enrolled with the program. Took me, no exaggeration, 4 phone calls and 8 people to get a correct payout total and date. A balance and date to them doesn’t mean the same to you, trust me! 45 minute phone calls were the average, and if you’ve ever seen “Anger Management”, that’s how they roll. That doesn’t exclude Quality Control experiences.
When you call to cancel your relationship and another 45+ min. phone call, with Alberto, apparently he has 2 names because when we got disconnected after our 45+ min. phone call, the girl looking for him when “I” called back, returned to the phone laughing saying she was sorry, “I didn’t know he uses 2 names so it took a while to find him.” You get told he will call you at 7PM, which is 2 hrs away, then he doesn’t, then when you call back he says he got busy... It’s pretty clear the decision to sign up was a bad one. Lots more stories but this was my last. The final nail that catapulted the really fun Quality Control phone call, was, after I sent an email asking permission to skip a month's payment -medical bills were very high in September.
Ok. Embarrassing enough that I’m in the program, I received an email a few days later that it had been approved, only to be followed up later with an email stating the creditor had dropped me from the program for missing the payment!!! Oh, I missed mentioning the email I received a few days before my forgiven payment was due, reminding me I needed to make a deposit... Well, the money I would have paid, now went to the bills I asked permission to pay. Of course this was my fault. They do reserve the right to do so, as was communicated when I called to inquire about my most recent email and spend the morning with my friends on the phone because that’s always fun.
I'm sorry, when you ask the people you are paying significant fees to handle your finances, and they look at your account and say, "yes, it’s been APPROVED..." Breathe. Besides, it’s hard to tell your true balance yourself online when the security questions are wrong and you can’t log in (Birthday, last 4 of Social). Movie time again! You can’t make this nonsense up!!! Perhaps collecting fees is their business, communication certainly is NOT!!!
This is my second and last review with NDR. I rarely take time to send a review unless it’s extreme, and in this case and the previous review it was. I retracted my last review upon request from NDR - I am reasonable, despite the levels they took me to, after apologies were made for the same customer service issues. Not this time. It would be a disservice to you. Moral of this short and I mean short story is, pay $8 to see the movie, Don’t live it!!! The 4 and 5 star ratings are certainly not reflective of my experience.

When communicating with the representative, he was very knowledgeable and patient as he explained the program. Throughout the process he remained available for questions when we had them. One slight negative was the persistence in getting us signed up. Calling every day, multiple times a day. And the only other was a mix up on information verification that led to one day delay in completing the final forms. A lot of information at one time, but I am excited to get out of debt. I am still sifting and sorting through the emails to try and make sure I am doing my part of the deal. Everyone I spoke to was very nice and professional. I wish I had better guidance on how to cancel automatic payments setup with my One Main creditor. I don't quite understand the legal aspect and the credit aspect, but I do feel that everyone has been honest and above board with me.

The enrollment process with NDR was easy and everything was done online or on the phone. The program is approximately a four-year program in which they would negotiate with my creditors for a lesser payment of my credit card debts. So far, out of my eight credit cards, they’re currently paying three of them. However, for the fourth credit card, Discover, for some reason, I got a judgment on it and NDR couldn’t negotiate on that one.
When I went to the court to get the summon, NDR served me, according to them, back in August. However, when I looked at the form, there were certain days they put on there and I’ve been working from home since April. The times they said they knocked on my door, I was home and nobody knocked on my door. For some reason, this guy from the street got a clerk to sign off on the form. Until that’s settled, NDR put a hold on all the other credit cards from being negotiated on. I’m really unhappy right now because this should have been prevented.
At the same time, we sent them the form. Then we got an e-mail saying, “Oh, National Debt if not a legal blah, blah, blah. We’re not gonna be able to represent you.” So what do I pay an extra $12.85 a month for if their legal department is not gonna pursue this? The guy who got the sign perjured and lied. So, that judgment should be voided. They never physically served me and their guy said my neighbor got the form.
First of all, the name of my neighbor was not the same as the name on the summon. Also the other neighbors next to us are two teenagers. I’m livid right now because I have no idea and I don’t even know where the NDR legal department’s stand on this is. It has been a year and a month now and my credit is shot. I don’t know if I should take back my credit cards and deal with the problems on my own again. But then, another thing happened and they’re asking me for more money to cover the extra expense it would take to settle Discover card.
When I called National Debt, I was already making $800 a month payment on all of my credit cards, which is really a stretch. We settled on $509 every month and at that time, it was perfect because I could save $300 a month. Now, I’m looking at about 5.50 a month, which is creeping up to $300 to go. I’m back where I was making payments. NDR told me that I’ve been with them for so long and if there’s a way I could give a bit more. I stretched it to 521. Now, they asked me for an additional $25 a month. So I’m gonna be paying about 550 a month every month. They said the payment is going up because of the Discover card. There was really no discount or negotiation about it because of the judgment letter, which to me is false. NDR has no choice, but to pay 31.98 on the card. They gave me the $200 discount. But basically now, my payments for that is 246 every month until they settle that.
The original negotiator I had was fine. He explained everything and is very straightforward. At that time, my husband didn’t have a job, so I was desperate and it was just a tough time. We still haven’t gotten out of the woods, but I’m thinking if these people can’t even figure out one credit card and everybody is still on hold, who’s gonna put up the next judgment on another card? So my biggest fear is that it’s defeating the purpose at this point for me to keep giving them more money because there’ll be back to where it was. I think we’re still at the beginning of the process. I recently called in a couple of cards just out of curiosity. I know my Kohl’s card was 1,600, now it’s 2,200. Because it’s not being paid every month, they’re gonna put on late charges on that. So I don’t think we’re even making any progress at this point.

I checked out National Debt Relief online and I didn’t see anything negative, so I enrolled with them. The process was easy and the person that I spoke with helped me right through it. I had some interactions with negotiators as well and they had all been positive. NDR was able to put my debts all into one package, so now it's a little bit easier for me to handle them. I've been in their program for two years and so far, the cost of their service has been good. Working with them also eased a lot of stress for me.

The thing that surprised me the most was the monthly payment amount to cover all of the debt being enrolled. It is half of what I was expecting to pay and it includes all of the fees of National Debt Relief as well as legal help to keep the creditors away. Thank you National Debt Relief!

I can't rate any higher due to not being in the program very long but what I've encountered so far has been very helpful. It seems that this is the way to finally gain control of my financial position and have control of my life again. Schooling weighs on me heavily as I am gaining two degrees so with that comes financial burdens. National Debt Relief is confident that they are able to cut my debt in half and have everything paid off within four years rather than the 10+ years I was looking at possibly paying things back. Customer Service has been extraordinary so far and the people I have spoken with thus far have been clear and concise in explaining the program to me. I will review again upon hearing from creditors and the new rates I am to pay back.

Shelley was very helpful and knowledgeable. I even asked for her specifically when other reps attempted to reach me. Shelley was wonderful from start to finish. I did a search online and I called National Debt Relief. They were really helpful and responsive. They communicated with me quickly and were accommodating to my situation. Then when I followed up with them later, they were just as helpful. The process seems pretty transparent and everyone seems pretty open and willing to help. I get an update when a settlement has been reached or offered.
However, it's a little frustrating that they're not open on the weekend, and it seems really odd for that type of business. It's annoying since you have something that's time-sensitive, and that's two days that might take away from something. Also, the payment plan was really good for where I was a year ago, but my financial situation has changed so that's something I need to readjust with them 'cause it has created a hardship for me. Overall, NDR has settled a few of my debts and they're gonna help me accomplish some things that are really important to me that have been far more difficult to do on my own, if not possible at all.

I have to say that so far I am happy with the service I have received. I spoke to another company prior and was really not happy because it felt more like I was working with a dishonest car salesman. This was definitely not the feeling I got with working with your representatives. They were very professional and I appreciate that they were not insensitive to my situation. National Debt Relief keeps me informed and updated on my current account that I have with them. They give me information on the monthly progress. They also always ask me for my permission before they move ahead on anything. The program they’ve got is basically to clear me from my credit card debt. I’m working on that with them now. I went with them when I was looking for a company to deal with my finance problems because they had good ratings. I also have friends who have used them before and they were satisfied.
Initially, NDR had to do a credit report and see what they could and could not help me with. They explained the difference. They advertised like asking people who are over a certain amount to give them a call so I figured there had to be some kind of minimum there. They opened an escrow account and set up the amount that I'm comfortable paying. Then it’s up to me whenever I build that account up enough to be able to pay the debt off. So far, I’m satisfied with the way they have handled my account. They were definitely able to negotiate and lower the amount of money that I had to pay back, and that has saved me quite a bit.

I tried to talk to my bank but they weren’t very helpful. I then found National Debt Relief online. When I originally called, I just explained my situation and they put catchphrases on it like a hot chip. So, I sent them my information and then they worked out all the numbers. That worked for me and that was it. In the beginning, I felt like I did not get as much information as I thought. Throughout the process, I have heard a lot of, “You should have done this", but I never knew I had to do that. Simple things like if they were working with somebody to settle my debt, one of them being my bank, they should never have told me I had to close my account and that became a real issue later on. Then, a year and a half ago, I had an instance where I was struggling to try to make the payments and somebody laughed at me. So, I ended up talking to a manager and got that straightened out. Ever since then, it has been pretty on the spot.
Some people were very personable, really easy to talk to, and were understanding -- like I was talking to somebody in my family. The payment plan was okay. Then, as I got further into it, things changed. I got older and there was the rent inflation thing. So, sometimes, it was hard and I was kinda locked in with those payments. At the beginning of this year, I remember making a phone call and saying, “I have to move. I can’t make these payments". And they kinda basically told me if I didn’t make these payments, then I have the potential to be dropped out of the program. That kind of frustrated me because I started paying $240-ish something, and I bumped it up to $275 and all I was asking was to go back to my original payment of $240, and they were saying that I couldn’t do that. So, I stuck it out.
A few months ago, I went online and did the math myself. Because I’m on my last account, I was seeing like we were paying the less than $100. Why do I have to pay three times that to them every month? So, I figured out the math and then it was easy to make the phone call and they said, “Okay, sure.” So, it really depends on who I talk to, too. Some people are just, like “Let me look at the system,” and “let me do what we can do”, and then some people are, “Oh, yeah. Maybe we can do something. can you hold?” It is kinda hit and miss. If you were considering the service, get all the information before. It is a great program and it does help you a lot. Just make sure it is right for you before you get locked into another payment because that is the whole point of consolidating debt, it is to give you some breathing room.

My friend’s wife used National Debt Relief and she just paid it off, so she’s ecstatic. When I enrolled with NDR, I was on the phone with them for over 35 minutes and it was completed. Their reps are professional, always courteous and they always give me a call to ask if I’m fine. If I don’t have time, they call me back. They told me how much it was gonna be a month and how many months it would take to pay off. I send them a certain amount a month, they negotiate with the credit cards, they come up with a number that’s fair, and then they pay one credit card off at a time. When that one is done, they put the money until the next credit card and on and on. I’m on the program for about a year now and I can’t wait for the next two years to be over. With NDR, instead of me accumulating interest over the years, at least the interest has stopped and I’m better off than when I started. I’m very happy with NDR. I recommend them to people in my own position.

National Debt Relief is helping me work on paying off my credit. Mostly they were credit cards, and there is a little bit of medical stuff. They call on some of the people that I owe and negotiate with them. The program is going slowly but surely. The payment plan seemed a little bit too high, but it is what it is to get some of the credit down off of me.
