6 accounts 2 paid in 10 months one on the table no one is harassing me. Been a pleasure to deal with easy to understand. I got on with life without worry or stress. Not over yet and my credit will stay in the toilet just like bankruptcy but I feel much better about it.

I got hurt and got laid off and I couldn't manage anymore. I have credit card debt and I'm on permanent disability now and on a fixed income. I got tired of all the phone calls and just wanted something to get my debt behind me. I talked to a bankrupt attorney and I didn't have enough debt. It wasn't justifiable to even file a bankruptcy because of my situation and my income is disability and I don't pay taxes.
Some guy from Freedom Debt Relief kept calling me. I've been in and out of programs just because of my income, and I had to stop it and start it again. But the guy was really nice on the phone and helpful. I'm impressed with his knowledge and just the fact that he didn't give up. He took the time for me to get through it and get started. He told me, "If they keep calling you, just tell them what to do." and walked me through me that. The credit card companies call my phone. One time, they asked me who was helping me and I told them it was none their business and hung up.
Freedom Debt Relief's service is excellent. One time, they took a payment out and granted it was only a couple hundred dollars, I didn't have the money in the account and I was freaking out. They got it right back to me I didn't get hit with any penalties from the bank. Freedom Debt Relief couldn't have been any better. I'm really hoping I'm gonna be done with the program soon.

Without FDR, I would never be able to become debt free. Since I became a client, I feel as if a giant weight has been lifted from my shoulders. FDR has helped me complete payments for two credit cards, and are in the process of negotiating four others. The day when the last payment is made will be a very happy day.

I am very happy that I followed up on a flyer I received from Greenlink (a division of Freedom). I knew that I had to remedy my debt situation. I am happy to say that is exactly what the agent John ** went right to work on. He helped me understand exactly how I could be debt free in as little as 48 months. I am able now to rest much better knowing that Freedom Debt Relief is behind me. That makes me able to accomplish this financial stability saving $$$ thousands. I am happy that 50% of my debt has been negotiated and started payment on. But I do wish that communication would have stayed consistent during the process. I called several times to get updates and generalized understanding of the process. The call center staff did not seem very educated on the process other than simple feedback (you just have to wait) answers.

I am very pleased with the help I am getting. Everyone has been very helpful and patient with me. As a senior citizen I need all the help I can get. Being hounded by my creditors is overwhelming. Trying to help my children put me in this position but this has been a lesson welled learned.

I had a question on the payment schedule for one of my creditors. The agent spoke with me through the chat feature. I wasn't satisfied with his answer and he abruptly disconnected the chat without giving me a clear response. His name was Pepper. I am considering cancelling my service with FDR because of this.

It disturbs me I have been with Freedom's program over a year and I found out recently that Freedom has never once made any contact with two of my debtors. One of those called me to court. I missed it because I did not know anything about them suing me & taking me to court. If only Freedom had contacted them & explained to them I was in your program this would not have gotten so far out of hand. At least the knowledge would have prevented this problem. I have several lawyers calling me & writing me wanting to defend me against the lawsuit. Good god, that’s how I found out I even got one. I’m so disappointed about this. All of my phone experiences except one have been excellent. My main complaint is the new account summary. It was helpful to see the progress on each account by payment. That was not a good change for me. It is also difficult to make one time payments online. I have not yet figured that out.

Been great. I got served with a summons on one of my accounts. I called the first day after the Holiday (Memorial Day) and was immediately assigned a Client Intake Coordinator (Ms. Karla **). Updated on 10/16/2021: I had four debts. They paid off three of them and they’re working on the last one now. I also save about $400 a month by working with them.
Original: They are very helpful and explain the process with me and made it easy for me to sign up with them. I have 4 settlements with them. 1 is already being taken care of. It did not take long for the first settlement. My graduating date is December 2022 and 1 is already done. It’s great.

I had to retire and my income could not cover all my bills. I needed help, and a friend gave me a foldout advertisement about Freedom Debt Relief. I called and talked to a representative about my problem. I was very impressed with the arrangement that was made to pay off my credit cards. Within five months, I had my first settlement.

I signed up with FDR in 2016 and had problems from the beginning. I decided this was not the program for me and cancelled, but not before they took over $2,000 from my account. I have called numerous times and sent many letters trying to get a refund. I have been blown off and treated rudely by the staff, I’m sure who hope I will give up and go away. They have lied to me about payments made and told me if I want my refund to get a lawyer. I notice on their website they list customer reviews from various sites, but they only pick 5 star reviews from each site. I have gone with another program, National Debt Relief, who treat their customers with respect. Don’t use Freedom Debt Relief!

I called in needing to put my payments on hold and also possibly withdraw some cash from my balance that I had. The representative was extremely empathetic and understanding of my situation and really helped me. Updated on 08/27/2020: I was very comfortable with making my decision on going with Freedom Debt. They were very informative, polite, and not judgmental at all. Zac got me all hooked up with this and then it was him again that I talked to when I got to do a loan so that my debt could get paid off faster. I would just have the one to pay the loan back. It's been a couple of months now that I set that up and I'm really impressed with how fast it's going now.

I have been enrolled in the program for 10 months, and have been able to reduced my debt in over USD $11K or more than 25% of my debt (including my top 2 credit card providers), their dashboard is very effective, efficient and easy to follow. I reached out to you for one addition because somehow that creditor was missed. I've been on time with every payment to you every month, yet you couldn't even add one (small unintended left out account) without asking for half of that money upfront. So I called the legal company representing the creditor and they were willing to work with me...I'm just very disappointed in FDR.

I wasn't able to pay my bills due to the income I received from the disability benefit. We are committed to NOT missing a structured payment. However, unexpectedly, we have had some financial distress. I missed a full work week for example, and we had unexpected repair and health care bills. FDR has been wonderful in working with us and letting us adjust our debits to our savings account while carefully calculating to assure no payments were missed. So far, we have been very pleased with the assistance we have gotten from FDR in resolving our credit card debt. Finding ourselves drowning in debt with the cards and interest, it was a wonderful relief to find a way out with FDR's assistance. We established a plan with FDR, stuck to it, and now have a settlement agreed with the first of the two creditors. It will still take some time but we are looking forward to getting an agreement on the other debt, continuing to pay it out and getting a chance to then rebuild our credit.

Character field need to increase beyond 200. Because of this, please refer to my file or contact me. Current events have sealed the 1 star rating. In July 2017, I was NOT in collections. I was advised by FDR to leave this specific (but nameless here) creditor layout of the 6 accounts. Nov 2018, I was requested to provide a Hardship Financial statement for this creditor.
April 2019, I received, and forwarded a court summons to FDR. April 2019, I was requested AGAIN, to complete a Hardship Financial statement. Between issues w/ FDR, then Nat'l Lit (Melanie, Chelsey **, and Katrina **, I have been constantly reminded that if I'm not timely "... may result in NLLG not representing me." I have been timely with every request). Today, I verbally informed Nat'l Lit that the settlement papers they prepared were INCORRECT. I rceived a corrected version, still INCORRECT. Why do I have a summons? Why is there the badgering of timeliness? Where is the quality review? These 2 companies are 1 entity to me as the customer.

I spoke with an excellent representative of FDR; however, after FAXing a 25 page document and contacting the National Law Group because of the short time frame for getting information to them, I was told it would take 2 days before they would verify they received the FAX even though I have the proof sheet saying it went through. Tomorrow is the 2nd day and I'm hoping the money spent for them will cover me since they aren't responding in the time frame they say they will accept the FAX'd information.

Really just unhappy with the amount of 25% fee of total debt but employees talk really highly about how much the company is going to save you (the customer). Myself and probably every other customer is struggling with debt and it just seems like FDR is capitalizing on it.

I am pleased with the services they provide. They are always updating me on the progress of the settlement for the credit card in progress. I like that if I don't go to my dashboard, they text me to approve any of the payments. I spoke with one of the representatives a couple of weeks ago for a concern and he was really awesome, he made me feel at ease. I just found out that I have a small claims with Discover and I called Freedom and they said wait to be served and then call us!!! I was NEVER told I would have to appear in court for this! I'm very upset that it's taking this long that I may have to appear in court and need to be SERVED!!! Frustrating that takes so long!!!

I found from the first phone call I felt better as the call went on. I didn't have to do anything getting my bills together. The person I was talking to had everything. That made it so easy. Thank you in trying to pay off my 3 high credit cards in only 4 years. I was paying $500. per Mo & that was only making the minimum payments on each of them. At this rate I would never get them pay off. Now I only Pay $276 per Mo and the whole balance will be pay off in full in 4 years. Thank you for helping me!

Beware of the fees FDR charges. They say it not in the small print but I didn't see it and/or recognize that if they save you less than 21% in settling a debt that you will end up paying more than you already owe. As you can see from image that is the case for me. Freedom Debt Relief does NOT adjust their fees based on what they "saved" you. Whatever debt you register it is a FLAT 21%. For example, look at the image from a recent settlement. I enrolled a $5,471.00 debt, the fees for that debt were $1,148.91, they "negotiated" a settlement of debt reduction to $4,333, which is a "savings" of $1,138.00. There was no savings when you add their fee to it. They negotiated what that creditor offered me to settle months ago and FDR tells you not to talk with the creditors and refer them to call FDR. There are certain creditors you are better off dealing with yourself. AMEX is one of them.
Also keep in mind that when they boast about cutting/settling your debt by 40%, 50%, 60% subtract 21% from that number as that is their fee. It just doesn't look as appealing to say 20%, 30%, or 40%... Be aware of which creditors do NOT truly negotiate with FDR or any other Dent relief company. If FDR wants to act like they want to HELP people they should adjust their fees when they CAN'T do a good enough job to get a debt reduced by more than their fees. More like they help themselves and you are just an afterthought. I believe this is a fair assessment of FDR. Nothing I stated is untrue. Bottom line is they are a for Profit company and don't care about their clients over profit.

FDR has done the best they with limited monthly payments they had to negotiate with. Was than picked up with Consolidation Plus their loan company that was able to complete all open debts with a re-payment plan for me. Do not understand. When I try to generate statements it won’t let me. Cannot see where deposits being made and who been contacted. Several accounts says they have no record or mail from you. People are trying to settle and I’m telling them I’m working with you.

Not please with the fact that my credit dropped from a 690 to less than 500. My credit cards with low balance were closed by the banks. Was not aware this would happen. All my other credit cards with good standing have also been affected. They lower my credit limit drastically. Can't wait to end with the program.
We're sorry for the impact the program has had on your credit score. Our program is designed to help people who are most focused on getting out of debt. Some good news is that rebuilding credit can be far easier to do than get out of a sizable debt problem. This is a factor for why clients turn to us in spite of any credit score issues they may incur.
