I was little apprehensive going into this but I have to say I am very impressed. I have really shocked at how low they have gotten some of the final payments down to and I am seeing really good results. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

Having never been in a position where I felt overwhelmed by debt - I didn't even know where to turn. My daughter had opened a credit card to help pay to get her wisdom teeth pulled. Because they wanted so much money upfront and we didn't have it, she opened up an account to be able to get it taken care of. And then all my other issues that came up with my husband’s health and me not working as much just to stay home and take care of him, that’s why we fell behind.
I called a few companies and they really weren’t very sure how they would be able to do it because some of our debts were in my husband’s name. I talked to a Pat and he was very helpful. He walked me through it step-by-step and told me what was it all about. I tried to get my husband on board to help but he said that our credit score would go down. And I said, “Well, that’s nothing we need to be worried about right now. We need to get the debt taken care of because we’ll always have a poor credit score if we don’t get the debt taken care of.” So, I just felt more comfortable with Freedom, the way they presented themselves and the way they helped me step-by-step.
There's one lady that contacted me and we went through the emails and everything. But somehow, she didn't get an account on my dashboard to help with that. I’m not sure how that happened or why it happened, but I still have to deal with that. I’ve emailed her a couple times, but I haven't had the time to really sit down and talk to her to find out what happened. It’s probably because it was in my daughter’s name too, but they were going to put a piggyback on to my account since I was paying for it anyway. But other than that, Freedom emailed me every so often that I needed to check my account. They took out the same amount when they needed to and we knew it was taken care of and it's something we don’t have to worry about. They really know what they're doing. They have helped me. I’m really satisfied.

I am content with the services provided. I understand the thought process regarding discussing my accounts with my debtors after a length of time has passed wherein there is no communication. However, I do not like the constant billing from those debtors on the list to be paid. If something could be done about that, I would be completely enamored with this company. Other than that, they covered everything from the beginning so nothing was a shock. I will be very happy when these bills are paid and off my credit rating...or at least marked "paid."

That evening when the Freedom Debt Relief Representative called to tell me about my credit card debt, and the problem I was having, I asked him how he knew, for I taught it was only me and the banks affected knew. He explained and told me he will help me with paying them off and also fixing my credits. Usually, I don't listen to such offer on the phone, but his voice was very calm and convincing. He took time and explained to me what and how Freedom Debt relief with other companies that work with them will help me. After the explanation, it didn't take more that a minute to decided to give them a chance. All he told me that evening, and the sequence they will follow are all working as he explained. I am so happy I gave this company a chance to help me. Freedom debt Relief is a reputable company, and very methodical in their work approach.

Submitted 6 x accounts for debt settlement. One was large, which they settled first, wiping out the funds that we built up in our account over 6 months with their fee. Overly aggressive settlement caused all of our deposits to be handicapped Over the Next year. No other accounts could be settled in the meantime. After a year and a half, the rest of the accounts were in litigation forcing us to settle with a consolidated loan at 22.9% interest, this on top of FDR fees of 21%. You are better off settling on your own and saving the fees. I paid $8000 in fees to FDR and $1000 to consolidated to pay off my debts. People beware, FDR will not help you enough to warrant the expense.

I asked for help with an issue I have from 2008. I received a letter that is from a credit card that I don’t have any idea who it’s from. I have no answers every time I call Freedom Debt Relief’s customer service. No one helps me with my issue. I will not recommend anymore your company. Updated on 08/01/2020: I love Freedom Debt Relief. Since I've had them working on my debt, my stress level has gotten so much less. I've been a client of Freedom Debt Relief for about a year-and-a-half. When I signed up my debt was over 13,000 dollars. It's now, less than half of what it was.
Original Review: My credit card bills were uncontrollable before I joined Freedom Debt Relief. Since joining FDR, the amount of bills that I get in the mail every month has been cut down a lot. I used to get very sad, twice per month, when I paid bills, because the number off bills, and the amount I was paying, was astronomical.

Updated on 06/13/2022: Thanks to Freedom I can see an end to my debt. the end is known to me now, whereas before I could not see any hope to be paying them off. If I ever get out of this hole, I'll not fall in again.

I found Freedom through a friend in the military. I gave information to them and they started working. I talk to whoever is available in their customer service. They are very pleasant, answer your questions, and get you in the right direction. I've been with them for three years. I have one more debt and I'm done.

I had a friend of mine who used Freedom Debt Relief and he told me to do some research on it. I did that and decided to go with them. I just followed the prompts when signing up. The instructions were clear. The three personnel were very helpful. It took less than the first year to see my debts get settled and I had negotiated two. Everything was according to how they explained it. I had a few people that I spoke to about debt relief program and a lot of people have their own ideas of who they wanted to use or how they would settle their debts. I just let them go with their own devices, but I gave them the company as an option.

The ladies that worked with me on the application were transparent and helpful about the program. It is particularly necessary during this Pandemic where many people have lost jobs and income and have difficulties paying their basic bills let alone high interest bearing credit cards. It is also not embarrassing as the credit card companies are still being paid - just not adding interest. Makes control of finances much easier if used wisely.

I just approved my first settlement and was happy to see that the total amount of the settlement is not deducted in one payment. The lady who enrolled was deceiving and you can tell she just wanted the sign up. I’ve yet to see any action so I’m wondering if I’m just throwing money down the drain. If I don’t see action soon I want to unenroll. I’m not in a situation to give money away and not have anything being done.

Working with my Freedom rep was really good. They said they were gonna pay off credit cards. We set up a payment plan over the phone. They negotiated for me and told me what the amount was gonna be and how much I had to pay. I just said okay. Working with them has helped and it has gotten my credit down. They said I'd graduate in 2021. I only have one more card left and that's it. Freedom is good. Go with them.

They make it very east to talk to Agents about debt load and I was very impressed with how quickly they handle negotiations with out the Hassle of dealing with Banks myself. Freedom had a good rating. We talked about and negotiated the payment plan and agreed to how much I could afford to pay. They negotiated for me. They got the cost down and we've been working together ever since. There have been some times during the COVID thing where I couldn’t pay a month and I would call them. They would give an approval and we went on from there. They're very nice about it. Their rep was very businesslike but kind and knew what he was doing. Working with them has been very comfortable and they're making my life better. In about a week, I'm going to pay off everything. Use Freedom. They're great.

I was happy when Freedom Debt reach out to me the 1st time. I was kind of skeptical but then after thinking it over I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. I was able to resolve my credit debts much quicker. Now the reason I only rated them as a 4 star is because of the customer service. It would be nice if someone would reach out to you every couple of months to let you know how you are doing on the program just to give it a more personal touch.

I kinda did a little homework and reached out to several companies. Freedom had the best offer. One or two of my co-workers went through Freedom also and they told me that they were fantastic. Freedom gave me the lower rating and everything as far as having to pay it back over time. Michael was my service rep and he was superb. He told me anything that I didn't understand and when I needed to clarify I called him back and he would walk me through it. He would help me. Freedom sent me a review on the phone when I first started and I spoke very highly of the gentleman that helped me because he was really very patient with me and listened to everything. I had a million questions and he answered everything. He didn't speed through anything. He gave me time to think about what I wanted to do.
Freedom is an A for me. Seeing some debts get settled kind of started happening right away once they started like collecting enough to start making the settlement. I had one big one and everything else was like 15 to maybe about 600. They notify us to make sure that we wanna negotiate something or we're satisfied with it. They reach out to us. It works for me and I have no problem. I'm very satisfied. I knew my timing. If you want to make it even faster, you can just add a little more and that will speed it up a little bit.

I have always been able to pay my creditors, but % rate was getting high and I didn't want to waste that money. So, I looked into FDR and was pleasantly surprised of the service and fees charged. They were helpful. They were pretty prompt when I had questions or emails. I felt pretty comfortable with them. Most of the time, we contacted through emails. They helped me consolidate my credit debt so that I could get that taken care of. I felt comfortable with how they did things. I sent them my stuff and they came up with the payment plan and asked if that was okay. They walked me step-by-step through it and we figured it out. They send me things every now and then, letting me know when a consumer will take a certain amount from my debt and they ask me if that's okay and I agree to it.

The rep on the phone was helpful. I am so extremely disappointed that I worked very hard to pay off my debt faster to find out from the rep that they had reached out to pay my final debt in full 13 months ahead of schedule. (And you guys STILL took out another payment) The communication with FDR has been horrible- I have to call to initiate EVERYTHING and get updates. Multiple ball drops. Very discouraging but happy I will no longer need your services!!!!

I saw Freedom Debt Relief on Facebook and then from there I had to call someone. They made an agreement to help me out regarding my debt. I should be finished by now but it seems like there’s a problem regarding my debt, so I’m still paying. But the enrollment was a smooth experience. It makes me comfortable knowing that I was helped and they were concerned about what was going on. They put all in the details and what I need to know. I asked questions, they answered it in the right manner and I’m truly satisfied with what was going on. The program helped me to buy time because if I would pay those debts one by one, I would not have enough months to pay for it. By consolidating all my debts, made into one, I can concentrate and focus on one thing. Instead of paying 1,000 every month for different credit cards or loans, now I’m just paying it in one payment, which is helpful.
The NLLG I worked with haven’t helped me. They said that they would no longer help me because I didn’t have all the information. At that point, it was my fault. At the same time they could just call me every day to remind me. But overall, it was an excellent experience. I’m not done yet, but I’m fully satisfied of how FDR is helping me. They sent me an email and at the same time, they sent me a text that if I have more debts that needs to be settled, they’re willing to help me out. I’m planning to do that. For the payment plan, they calculated and told me what I have to pay and from there, I really ask any questions. But they reduced it because one of my biggest debts, which is American Express, was dropped. I’m settling it now by myself.

Even though I provided all the information to you all. Because it takes long to process. Some of the accounts are on collection status. The credit card company didn’t care I set up with you all. This is discouraging. I know my credit score will take a major hit for some time. But I was not expecting to see collections and receiving those calls on something I was trying to take care of. This would not be the case if I just continued to pay them myself. Yes it would take longer. And I would pay more. But the overall effect would not be like this. While I won’t get in the same situation again. I will also talk to people before they use the service. I believe they can negotiate with the companies and get similar results.

I was working with Sean and he was fabulous. I got a sense of honesty from him. One of the competitors gave me so much crap on the phone and it didn't make sense. He thought I was an idiot. But Sean was very honest and helped me get started. He did such a great job at the beginning that I didn't have any questions. I had two things just pop up in between and I contacted Freedom. Whatever I called for assistance, they helped me out.
I left the payment plan up to Sean too. I trusted him. He told me what I should do and how much I should pay a month. I'd had some health issues, which started the whole thing. He asked me if I was ready to get started and I was. I've stuck to the program and I'm very close to the end. It has improved my life 100% and even though Freedom has their charges, I don't have a problem with that. The bottom line is they saved me money over the long run.

Every time I've called Freedom Debt Relief, they have been awesome. If I get a letter in the mail from a creditor, I would call and ask what I should do with it. I've been with Freedom Debt Relief since 2018 and over the years, I've sent them faxes and now, I would just take pictures, upload and send those to them, and every time I do, within 24 hours, I get an email from them saying they’ve received everything. So I at least know it went through and someone got it. It’s great.
My last creditor was taking me to court and I contacted Freedom Debt Relief. The person that I was in contact with said they had received everything and told me who I would be working with – Deja. But all of them have just been on top of it. The communication is quick and that's huge with me. If I send them something and they need something, I send it right back. When I contact them directly, I get answers within a couple of hours. In fact, there is so much communication that if you don't know what's going on, it's your fault.
I also got a welcome packet initially and all the information is on there. It told me how long everything would take. It was supposed to be 2022 but I sent them an extra chunk of 500 bucks so it will probably be a couple of months sooner. That was when they settled my debt with the law company. Deja actually contacted me and said that the plan that I was put on was gonna be an extra $50 bi-weekly, and that I was gonna be $6 short. She asked if I could send over a little chunk and so I sent an extra 500 bucks. For some reason, the first time I did that, it didn't work but they were so receptive. I called them and they emailed me. The new person I talked to sent the DocuSign to me and everything was done. As soon as I called, they got me another one right away. So they were totally on top of it.
There is also a Client Dashboard that's on my cellphone so at any time, I can look at it. I also get emails from Freedom Debt Relief every few weeks about how things are going and if I wanna talk to someone about anything, they have videos to show me how the process works. They also have that little button you can push if you wanna send extra money to get out sooner.

The service is great but service fee should be lower. Because of the fees clients end up with paying around 70 to 75% of their total debt which is still great. Great customer service and they help you whenever you needs them or needs to understand anything.

I always felt left in the dark on what was going on with my accounts. I always had to reach out to Freedom Debt to get answers and the answers that I received were of little help. One account settled for 10,000.00 and the balance was 12,000.00. After Freedom Debt added their fee it came out to more than the account balance. I feel this could have been avoided if Freedom Debt would addressed the account when I received a letter from a Law Firm. Freedom Debt told me it just a tactic that Creditors use. At one time when asking about the account I was told the Law Firm was not answering and I was told I could try calling myself. The outcome was the same when I called but if Freedom Debt Does this for a living they must have some other resource to get answers. Would I recommend this company to anyone else, the answer would be no.

I was so grateful that Customer Service was available on a Sunday morning to help me. The rep was friendly and most helpful. She relieved my fears that contact from a collection company was going to be troublesome. She recommended that I send a screenshot of the text I received from the collection company so FDR could have it on file and proceed with negotiating that debt. She assured me this collection contact would not affect the progress of my settlements. As a matter of fact, she assured me it would likely speed things. I had a really good consolidation with a company and then I messed up and used all my credit cards again. I was trying to figure out how to get my finances in order and one of my friends told me she used Freedom Debt. I did my research and read their reviews. Then I applied for it online and then within an hour, someone called me back and they gave me an estimate of what my monthly payments would be.
I work with a certain person but if they're not around, I can just call customer service. But I live in New York and they're all the way in Nevada. The time difference is way little off so sometimes I call really early and sometimes I call really late but they always help me. They have saved me $400 a month and I am completing my fourth program this month. I have four cards paid off so far and I only have one that's pending, that they're working on out of the eight that I've sent in.

I misunderstood the % that you all would take on the settlement. I was shocked you took 40% of the initial amount, I thought it was from the settlement amount. Also was not aware, until after the fact, that the companies could report the loss to IRS. This increased my wages by $7,000.00. Now I owe the IRS $1800.00. So now not only has my credit score been affected, I have to come up with money for the IRS. So I have mixed emotions. My stress level is back to high and I still owe you all lots of money + interest at the same rate as a credit card. I am afraid to look at my dashboard because it causes me anxiety. So needless to say. I will be glad when it is over and at this point I am not sure of that.

The people at Freedom Debt Relief are very nice. There was a lot of information and they told me how it would go. So I signed up with them and I'm very satisfied. Every time I called them, they had very good answers and solutions to any questions that I had. The only thing is that I had paid the extra $16 a month to have the attorneys help me out if the creditors would take me to court and that didn’t go far enough. The attorneys were there and they handled that situation but when we got right down to the finals, where the attorneys were needed for me to close, they said they would only go to that point. It wasn't quite finished though. It was like getting to the 90-yard line. But they eventually worked through it and everything was fine. Also, in all of the times that my account went into a court, Freedom Debt Relief got the answers to the creditors, who accepted those answers, the solutions and the payments. So it went smooth in that way.
I had also helped with the problems a little bit by not necessarily keeping up with my dashboard and relying on them to say they need an answer. That was my fault. The dashboard was very good. Also, not knowing when I would pay off everything, I gave them a chunk of money that would pay off everything and yet they continued to withdraw money out of my checking account. So then I had to stop that. When the payment to them is automatic, in their system, the account is still open until it’s closed. So we had to change the amount from $881 to $25 just to show that it's still open and they're working on closing it, and it worked. Within a month, I got my congratulations to graduation, pomp and circumstance with the tassel and everything.

My debt was settled with little savings to me. And isn't worth the damage done to my credit score. The implied savings were nowhere near the actual savings. And then when I agreed to the loan to help make settlement go quicker there seemed to be less effort to reduce the debt, but to just pay close to actual debt.

I had a very good initial interaction with Freedom. They were quite informative and told me what I had to do and everything has been taken care of. I'm gonna be at it for a long time, so that’s the way it goes. I’m on Social Security and my payment is taking about 50% of it, which isn’t much. I was furloughed from my job and then American Express sued me so they’re getting the large portion of what’s been taken out of my Social Security. The process with Freedom was fairly easy. They were very informative and knowledgeable. They got me some help with the lawsuit. They’ve been really great.

First of all, when I called Freedom Debt Relief, I didn’t know they were gonna do the nine accounts, ‘cause they could have just not taken one of them which was the smallest amount, but they did. It didn’t have Freedom with that one. It could have just been eight but so they made it nine. But looking at what they did and how they combined it was okay. Then the more money I put into the account, the sooner I could have enough to negotiate settlements. When they interacted with the sister company and when we got into the discussion, I said to go with it, it started even sooner. The thing about losing credit score and building it back up works for me.
Also, I got into this trouble and the best way, in my opinion, was to go through Freedom Debt Relief. Although there were some other credit programs similar to this, this was the best for me and I decided on it. It had a 98% rating of being the top one, and not to my surprise, it was done through beautifully. If the coronavirus hadn’t hit, I would have been settled with my last account.
The process was confusing to me in the beginning. I was just on the phone in communication with them, through e-mails, and finally getting it on paper although through the phone. But as I got the hang of it, then it wasn’t that bad. Also, I had a negotiator at the beginning with certain settlements. Now, as it progressed and got down to the nitty-gritty of the last two or three, I had a representative, but I didn’t really talk to him much. They did what they said. They gave me a call. They got some information. They called back and hooked me up with whoever I was supposed to be in contact with. Everything went smoothly. I felt comfortable with them.

I started the program with Freedom Debt Relief last May. They had very positive feedback versus some of the other ones. Also, my cousin was using them and she was very happy with the service they had provided with her. They evaluated my debts and provided me with information on how they could help me and they started negotiating with the people that I had a debt with. As of now, I've started with seven and most of them are in repayment except for one, which is also the last one. Then I was told that one of the companies didn’t wanna pursue anymore. So, one got dismissed.
My initial consultant was great. She was available when I had a question. She gave me her direct line and I would call her directly and she would get back to me right away. If she didn’t pick up the phone, she’d call me right back within an hour. She explained everything to me and there was no pressure. She just told me what they could offer and then asked if they could help me. Then I made my decision and reached out and she helped me through the whole process.
I was impressed with how knowledgeable my consultant was. If she didn’t have the answer, she would tell me that she’d get back to me and she would call or email back. After the whole thing got set up, I didn’t speak to her anymore but there was a time that I had a couple of questions and I found her email and I went right back to her. Then she took the time to still help me and didn’t just push me along and say that it was not her anymore.
Before going into the program, I was very nervous. I didn't wanna admit that I let myself down. But I felt very comfortable working with my consultant. She made me feel like we'd get into these things sometimes and their program was for me to get a fresh start. I didn't have to claim that I was going under bankruptcy and the could help me through this. She guided me and gave me the pros and cons of different things.
I kept on thinking how this program would negatively impact me but at the end of the day, it would help me 'cause as I paid things along, my credit would get better and better. Freedom Debt Relief also worked with me to get to a point that I could manage the payments. I could pay for it biweekly and it didn't have to be one big bulk payment. They provided me with the hope that I could get out of this debt and still function without feeling defeated in any way. I was losing control when I had all the debt piling up and Freedom Debt Relief gave me a little power back.

Everybody has always been so courteous. They’ve been very helpful when I ask them to adjust the payment for me if I couldn’t make it for that month. They always listen to me when I call with an issue. They always guide me, and if I have to send something in, they always call me and make sure they taught me how to send it in. When I set up the payment, I was working full-time and I was making money. But now I’m not working so I’ve been asking them to lower the payment and they can’t do it. They told me that I have to call them every month to tell them how much I could pay.

I looked up the reviews of some people that had already used the service and I decided to go with Freedom Debt Relief because I had a good feeling about what people have said about them. The people I worked with at FDR have been very friendly and understanding. I've always been able to get my questions answered. The only thing is that they should explain a little bit more thoroughly how the process works if a person prepays or wants to pay off their debt consolidation sooner. You’d think it's like paying off a regular credit card type debt where if you deposit a lot of money, it'll happen right away. But it doesn't necessarily go like that and I found that out.
The consultant that I had in the beginning was very helpful too. He said he'd been through the experience himself and the advice he gave me was very good advice. He also seemed very knowledgeable. He went over everything and it seemed like it was a good program. It seemed to go very smoothly too. I had to gather all the information for them and then they laid out a plan. It has varied a little bit, up and down, from the original estimate. It was gonna be six years but they settled the debts really quickly. 90% of the debts got settled in the first two and a half years. I even suggested FDR to my daughter and her husband. But they didn't have enough debt for FDR to handle so they had to figure out a different plan. One of their friends also uses Freedom Debt Relief though and he's been very happy with it.

A friend explained about Freedom Debt Relief. He was already involved with them. I took a look and read some reviews then I chose the company and everything has been perfect. If you look at the numbers a year ago and the numbers now, there’s a big difference. The payment plan was excellent. It couldn’t be better than that in order to satisfy both things – the credit cards and to speed up debt. I’m pretty satisfied with Freedom Debt Relief. But if I could change something, I would probably speed up the payment a little bit when you have more money. I have five accounts now but I already have plenty of money on the account to get away from two more. One would be paid off this month. The last payment would be in 10 days and I would end up with only two. So mentally, it’s a good thing. I started with seven and now, I only have two just in a year.
I have the impression that if you accumulate more money, that you would get out of the debt faster. But they explained that sometimes, when that happens, it doesn’t look good for the company. They think that you’re having extra money now that you didn’t have before. So I understood that. Unfortunately, with the way it’s planned, I have to be with those five accounts for a couple of years. That’s the only thing that I would probably change. When you focus on that and you have extra money, it would be good to get out of debt because the more years you are in it actually goes against you too. But other than that, everything is fine.
I also use the dashboard everyday. I like to see the bar move a little to the right, and in the beginning, when they take any money from me, I calculate how long it takes to be on the account. I also make sure that the payment is on time since they release the payment to the credit cards. It’s not from me. Sometimes, I also read some notes on the dashboard.

Everything is fine with Freedom Debt. The only issue that I had, and I'm sure it probably was discussed in the beginning, was I didn't realize how much Freedom Debt would get. The money that I had accumulated in the account was almost $1,000. After they settled that for Discover, the fee that Freedom Debt charged was $800 so I was back at zero. I thought I was still gonna be able to have that money in there, pay Discover, and still have some money building up in the account, but Freedom Debt took all of that money. Discover sued me which I was told of upfront.
Other than that, I'm very pleased with Freedom Debt. The reps seem to know the information. I had a question and they were able to answer it so I was impressed. The payment plan was also affordable. It worked out. I periodically check on accounts or see if the status of them has changed thru the dashboard. I enrolled 6 or 7 accounts and I'm on the third one now. My credit score is also starting to go back up.

I couldn't be happier with the exceptional service Freedom provides. One way or another, we all get into this situation because of bad choices. My husband did an internet search on debt companies to look and see what different ones are saying. I got behind 'cause of some health issues. We had quite a bunch of financial setbacks. Freedom Debt Relief has been real helpful. I called them and if I have concerns or whatever, they answer my questions. The process is taking a while but it's moving on. We've got more than half of it done.
I’d tell people to stay with the program, let Freedom work through it, and don't miss any payments ‘cause that’s very important. You pay them every month and then they put it in a dedicated checking account they have. They pay out of that so that you're gonna have the money to keep up with it and get all these resolved. It would have been helpful if credit card companies would work with it, but they wouldn't. That's why we had to go through somebody like Freedom Debt Relief. Credit card companies would not try to help at all. They don’t care.
Maybe Freedom can tell us where they're at or give more feedback on the negotiation and progression of what's going on. It would have been helpful on the frontend if we've known that some of the credit cards do not settle, that they go through lawsuits, which they took care of. It’s no big deal, but it's a little upsetting when you have a sheriff show up at your house at 6 o'clock in the morning serving papers. There's a couple of credit cards, and we had two on one, and one on another that they did not settle. They turned it over to go through court.

2 concerns: I received a letter which was sent to an address I resided 5 years ago and was being transferred to 6 people within 2 weeks which no one still did not help. During this time, I tried to handle myself but courts and office letter sent from closed. I've noticed that Freedom Relief takes their fees before settlement is complete. I thought the amount is given to lender to pay off not kept for freedom fees. Confused????
