Three of the credit cards you are managing are in collection. I talked with a Representative, she implied that this was my fault .. Not sure how this can be my fault since you are managing the cards...and they were not in collection before you took over management of the cards.

Defer payment due to temporary layoff. Place of business is closed for 2 weeks due to the virus So I am going to receive unemployment but it hasn't started yet. Also when and if we go back April 27th my hours could be reduced. So that is why they are helping with not making the April 24th payment.

I have been a client of FDR for a year now and how they consolidated my debt as well as my husband's together we couldn't be more satisfied with what we have already settled on with numerous debt we didn't even realize was as much as. We were trapped by the creditors. I made the call to ask questions and see what could be done. Very glad I did. We have wiped out 3 HUGE debts for a decent settlement. They are there for my weird questions and understand on troubled times (more now so) and have worked great with me, my payday and my withdrawal. I am worried this will drastically affect my credit, I thought payments will be made as soon as you take the money from my account. I don't know that falling behind on a $200 account is worth affecting my credit.

I was hit by a semi and used my credit cards for paying my bills since I could no longer work. I’m not going to say that the program is easy because it is a challenge to stay on track, especially during a crisis, but it can be done. Customer service is great and very helpful. They are friendly and responded quickly to questions being asked. They update me regularly on what is going on with the settlements. Although it’s a slow process to negotiate with the creditors due to lack of funds I was glad I was offered the Consolidation Plus which helped them settled my debt faster.

Negotiates settlement for 50% to 80% of current amount. Banks added over $100 per month in late fees and interest. Lawyers most difficult to settle with. I had one account with the reduction and settlement fees, ended up being only a 10% reduction. My suggestion, give FDR as much money as quickly as you can to avoid lawyers and late fees. Aim for 6 months, not 2 years. You'll get better results.

Updated on 03/11/2021: It seems to be taking a long time to resolve my debt. I am pleased as to what has been resolved to date but am concerned why my other cards are taking so long to resolve. Bank of America cards are issued by my personal bank which has been turned over to Collection. There has been no update by you.

Updated on 05/18/2024: They are very honest and help you through any struggles you face. They are willing to work on your behalf to get the debt settled. Very grateful. At first I was skeptical but glad that we stuck with it because we are almost completely out of debt and our credit score is on the mend.
Original Review: We didn't know how we were going to get out of debt, our monthly payments were way more than we could afford. But we've had settlements on two out of our nine cards and it feels like a weight has been lifted. I am very grateful to have the help!

Dashboard sucks. I have no idea what is going on with my debts since your company is supposed to be handling all my affairs. I really hope you're not just making my credit score worse, by not informing my creditors what is going on, with why I'm not paying my monthly bills.

I enrolled four accounts in this service. I personally had to settle two of those accounts on my own. After settling the last account on my own after four years, they kept my account open to continue to withdraw fees from my balance, even after providing documentation to move me to graduation. I would not recommend using this company, as I had to do much of the legwork on my own and they took more fees than they should have.

I was in debt and I needed help. I had over $100,000 and loss of incomes. Freedom is pretty easy to work with. There was a time back when I was having some more financial problems or I don't know if they weren’t understanding me or wasn’t communicating, I had a problem trying to tell them that I couldn’t make the original payments I had agreed to because our income dropped a lot, and then a lot of other situations happened and stuff, but I finally spoke to somebody who understood my situation and he helped me. There were some setbacks because I've had more financial problems since I've started. Originally, because I started with them back in 2016, I was supposed to be done around now, 2020. But other than those, it's been pretty good. I'm pretty happy with Freedom.

They are liars. I called when COVID-19 started, asked March 25th 2020 for transactions to be put on hold. The young lady on the phone said not a problem and that no withdrawals will be made for the month of April. April comes around and guess what not only did the withdrawal happen twice, but I was also charged a no sufficient fee charge from my bank. So I got on the chat and the man told me a supervisor had to review the audio and would call me back. Guess what? Never got that call.
Here we are on the 15th and guess who got charged again after contacting. Not only that. When I call to speak to a supervisor, not only did this man want to argue he refused to transfer me which caused me to have to hang up and call back and speak to another supervisor who was very quick to cancel their services. ZERO accountability. Then I'm told prior to any refund they will be taking their fees. Is that even legal???? Especially when I asked them not do withdrawal the funds.

I’ve been with this program since October 2018.. we are making progress with settlements but they are slow coming in. I really hope it starts to speed up more! I will be so happy once I am out of debt and the calls stop!

Settlements are being taken care of very efficient. All agents are very knowledgeable, supportive and professional. My only concern is that the settlement s be closed faster and shorter time frames to pay off creditors. Otherwise I am very happy and satisfied.

It's a slow process, I'm actually not sure how to rate my progress with Freedom Debt Relief, I just know that my credit scores took a very hard hit, I went from almost 700 in scores down to 500 scores. I'm hoping that this doesn't have a bad impact on my future purchases,

I am so glad I called the number in the magazine for Freedom Debt Relief. I had been trying to get my debt paid down for years, to no avail. Now, I expect to be out of debt in about 3 years and all for a set amount each month. I am delighted with your program, though it went against every fiber of my being to stop paying on my accounts! I did not want to declare bankruptcy because I felt obligated to pay my debts. At least this way those I owe will be paid. My wife and I have been served with two lawsuits. We got into the FDR program thinking that you or the NLLG would represent us. I found this to be not true. In fact NLLG settled one lawsuit with me still owing $2024.00.

Freedom Debt Relief has done an awesome job for me. There's only one concern. It's the Target deal that keeps getting pushed back. They sent me something from the courthouse – they were gonna sue me – but FDR took care of that. I was wondering when they were going to settle that deal though. That has been going on for three years. They've been sending me things and I send it back but I never hear back from them. Other than that, I really appreciate them for what they've done for me. In the three years I've been with them, I've only got two accounts left to. I'm really pleased with them. I'm amazed with what they've done for me. I really couldn't have done it without them.

The consultants have been nice. If we have questions, they answer them. I have to pay $300 a month for the program in which I give 150 every two weeks. I was okay with that. That’s pretty much all I could afford. It’s been good. I just haven’t been able to pay it right now because of all the stuff going on. It just seems like it’s been taking a while to actually pay stuff off, even though not much money is being deposited in. I’m only about a quarter of the way. I thought it was only gonna take a year and a half or two, but it’s already been going on a year and a half.

I have been so happy with how my program at FDR has been going the last two years. Debts I never thought I would see paid off are being taken care of. I have seen my credit score go from incredibly low to working up to being in a much better standing. I still am not eligible for some new credit lines and I did receive 1099s for 'taxable income' but that has been the only downsides to my program. I have been able to live without any credit cards for two years because of how much this program has helped me and my budget. I recommended it to a friend who recommended it to her mom and it has been great for them just starting out right now as well!

Very helpful. I pray I will never need them again but if so I would. When I needed their legal help they came through with an attorney free of charge for me. When I got sick and was hospitalized I had to stop paying. They were very understanding. I finally paid them off and they were very helpful.

Was and is a challenge to see what goes for debt relief and what goes for fees. Really not sure how many payments I have left. In the end I would have been better off filing bankruptcy. I check my dashboard daily and I’m still not sure when my last payment will be.

I’m halfway down on my debt in the last three years so I’m happy. The program is going along well. The people have all been great and the dashboard tells me whenever I need to approve something. That is fine. The payment plan is rough on me right now with this whole thing going on but it’ll be all right.

I liked Freedom Debt Relief because of Better Business Bureau and all the comments and stuff that I’ve read about and heard. The rep, Christine, knows her stuff. Freedom did a good job. Updated on 07/10/2020: Had to have a credit card removed because credit card had issued a 1098c issuing no more collection on account so I was told what to do to fax paperwork and to what part of organization and when I hadn’t heard anything I called to finalize any questions on having credit card removed by the person on phone.

I got screwed over by a vehicle repair and was already in debt before this fiasco was tacked on. I looked around for consolidation loans & found FDR. This company will get you hooked into the program and give you a graduation date to be debt free only about 2 years enrolled and then change it to 2 years after your graduation date. Be very careful when thinking about hiring them.

You don’t communicate things very well and you say the money is in our control in a dedicated account which I honestly have no control over and if I do need to make a withdrawal you say I cannot which really doesn’t make it under my control at all. I sometimes feel in a worse position than I need to be in.

Every time I have contacted them they take of my issues except I keep getting notifications from creditors about my acct. Other than that I'm very pleased with them. One time I was very dissatisfied. I got a woman apparently didn't know what she was doing and it caused me a lot of grief, can't remember her name but she was a dingy dingy lady.

Each of the FDR consultants I have had phone discussions with have been knowledgeable, friendly and consistent with their advice. I am experiencing frustration with the frequency of creditor phone calls, angry letters and stalling within the debt negotiation process. I thought by now I would be further along in my quest to eliminate my debt. I also would be very frustrated if negotiators don't reduce fees and fines and offer to reduce the debt by at least 55-65%. I am keeping up with my monthly deposits and added extra funds to my last month's deposit.

The only thing I had a problem with is the late receipt of some paperwork. This cost me over $400 in back taxes. Other than that I highly recommend this program. It saved me over $20,000 dollars. So check them out.

In early April I realized that once again I would be unable to make my payments for April. I called to let you know and I was professionally informed that it would impact my settlements. I regret that I was in that position. Today I was able to schedule my April payments in full to be made on April 16th. Because of the present problem with the virus haven't be able to work. When I called to see if they could help me out with my payment smaller they worked it out with me and told me if things didn't get better to call again before my next payment due and they will work with me again!???

I was able to do some searching back up and I had been looking at Freedom for a long time. I called and the young lady gave me what I needed. I was like, “Yep, we’re going with it.” She provided a lot of information for me and I felt comfortable with that. She listened, was so sweet and helpful. She sent me emails and she worked with me. She provided some things for me that I did’t even think about. So, she was wonderful. She had passion and compassion. And to me, that’s important. Over the years, you figure out who’s okay and who’s not okay, and she’s on.
Freedom helped me get back on track. They gave me, “This is what you owe. This is what we can do. This is what’s your payments gonna do. Here is your options.” So, they can work with me and I can work with that. It’s like a stress relief because things were getting overwhelming. I’m still getting some medical doctor bills coming in and it’s stressing. And then it gets complicated, and then you’re like, “How am I gonna do this? How am I gonna do this?” I can get onto the path of control unlike circumstances today, you have no control of anything. So, it was like, okay, I can breathe.

My messages are left unreturned. I feel I don't have the complete information to know what is the best choice for me to make. One person tells me that everything is taken care of. I have nothing to do but agree or disagree to the settlement offer, another tells me to try a debt loan 'sister company'. I am unhappy because on another occasion I was told by one person I would need for $20 more a type of settlement insurance. Another person tells me that no, I don't. It's already included in my agreement. This leaves me feeling uncertain all the way around.

When I joined this program I had so much doubt and skepticism and for the first few months I would just see the money accumulate and I was beginning to worry but it's been a little over a year and I’m beyond elated about the progress I’ve seen and the amount of debt eliminated. I have contacted Check and Go and they are still taking payment out of our checking. How can I get them to stop. I think everyone else has stop so if they keep doing this I will just have to do this on my own.

With FDR, I had a difficult creditor who negotiated with them to everyones satisfaction, or so it seemed. This Creditor had 2 debt collectors they sold to prior to FDR negotiation. When this Creditor was finalized with 30 monthly payments, we all were quite pleased. But, my credit score seemed to getting worse and worse. The 1st original debt collector, who was not getting paid, kept showing account open for COLLECTIONS at a very high balance.
Bottom line, it took a going around the RULES of FDR, it took compromise on both our parts to get enough funds in there to pay this Creditor off EARLIER than the Contract, originally negotiated. This was the only way to eradicate the awful monthly FICO dings It took people at Freedom (Stacey) to really hear me, to really work on my behalf, making up NEW rules and Ways as we go along, since in these times, NOTHING IS LIKE IT USED TO BE.
