Everyone we spoke with and have worked with has been so kind and non-judgemental; this has been very much appreciated. There has been only one slight glitch: I have asked that my monthly payment always be deducted on the 22nd of the month. Sometimes it is deducted on the 21st instead, which can cause me to be charged an extra derby my bank. The money is always available on the 22nd. Please go back to that date. The amount that goes to my FDR account is difficult enough to pay.

I have been helped a great deal with the service they provide and am happy with all they do except fo the continued email asking me about signing up other debts they found. I have called twice letting them know I don’t want to add any other debts and they have told me they would make sure I didn’t get that email anymore and I just got another one. I really wish they would fix this and they would have 5 stars instead of 4.

Good rapid response to my requests; responded to all feedback and requests (positive or negative). FDR is the way to go! I have used FDR for six months the service and customer service was outstanding. They treat me as if you are their only individual in which they have many. I am still getting calls from creditors even after telling them I have joined with Freedom Debt Relief and I feel I am getting worse in debt because nothing is being done with the debt I have and the interest rates and late fees are making it harder for me to see any light at the end of the tunnel - even in the short time I have been with you, I feel only one creditor has been contacted. I gave all my info and I was under the impression that I just keep depositing money and all will be settled. I am just not real impressed with the outcome thus far. Please contact Synchrony bank - they call me all the time even after I tell them I am trying and that I have signed with your company.

I submitted the only documents that I have concerning our debt with Personify Financial. I need this creditor added as they continue to take their payment via EFT through our bank.. I do not receive a monthly statement which is why I completely neglected to mention them in the first place. This transaction was done completely online. I have sent you everything relative to the account that I have access to... I do not know what more I can provide you...please advise.

The people at Freedom From Debt have always been respectful and helpful. They've kept me up to date and offered positive support throughout the process. I know they'll continue to do that. Whenever I called them with a problem or with a question they were always willing to help and prompt in doing so. From the beginning when I sent the first phone call and we set up my program via the phone, until they informed me of the settelement having been done, I've always felt that they had my best interest in mind. This is the first time ever in my life that I have a negative credit score. I don't know how much more do you need to withdraw from my account before negotiations starts. Besides, your first negotiation starts with the least amount from a collection agency that I don't even know exist. Why don't you start the negotiations right from the moment you start taking the money from me?

My FDR customer service rep really helped immensely. First, I needed to enroll a new debt. He walked me through everything I needed to do. Second, a constable stopped by while I wasn't home and left a note to arrange to get my papers. My FDR rep assured me that they could help, advised me to make arrangements with the constable to get said papers and the steps to take after that. So far, so good...

They are great with making the settlements half however once the settlement fees are applied it's not a big deduction at all. My graduation date despite being on time is much longer than had Hoped prior to starting program and what I was told it would be. Having 1 payment is convenient but the Fees FDR CHARGES TO SETTLE DEBTS.???

I was skeptical at first of the program but as long as you stay on track with the contract FDR works diligently to resolve the debt. My overall experience was great and everyone was very helpful and responsive with all my concerns.

I am absolutely disgusted with FDR! 10 months in at $366 a month and only got 2 settlements out of 11. I'm starting to get letters from law firms and I have not answered my phone in 10 months. All day everyday credit collectors, over and over. In the beginning FDR said, "We'll take care of you in 2 to 3 months, don't mind the video we ask you to watch that says 4 to 6 months". Gee I wish it was only that now. Can't see how any of this will help my credit or score. I feel completely alone in all of this. Wish I hadn't signed up for this but at this point I'm soooo screwed. There is nothing I can do but hope. But I've been hoping for months. This sucks!!!!

In the beginning I was definitely skeptical to stop making my monthly payments, although that was putting me further in debt. I was then nervous because I didn't understand that settlements would take time and come when I built up more money in my account. The customer service team at Freedom Debt Relief answers all of my questions whenever I call and will talk to me on the phone just to reassure me of the process. Most customer service providers won't speak to you until you have gotten through the machine, but you can chat someone here 24/7. So far I have been happy with the results and can't wait to live a debt free life.

So far my experience has been greater than I could imagine. I had 3 settlements started within 2 months and the recent 3 have had to go to court and Lawyers from National LLG are great to work with and made my settlement extremely effortless. I send them the summons and they advise me what they need from me and puts my mind at ease. No question goes unanswered and just wish I done this sooner!!

Don't get involved with this company... They charge exorbitant fees and do not help with legal action if you are sued... They also do not stop the interest from accumulating and your balance is higher than the amounts you sign on for... With that and the fees, you wind up paying your original amount... IT'S A SCAM.

The experience level here is outstanding. The only thing I have to do is be patient with the process and they handle everything. You just need to trust in their process and it works. Went back to NLLG for help with a pending small claims court appearance per FDR's advice. The person at NLLG stated emphatically that for them to help the court papers must be sent to them within 3 days of being served. When I need you most you are not available.

I was looking to get out of debt a little sooner than I would have by doing it the conventional way. I did a debt consolidation with Freedom Debt Relief and everything has worked out pretty good. Updated on 05/29/2019: Finally, I wised up and dropped my account with Freedom Debt Relief. They pay your small accounts; however, when it comes to ones with large balances nothing is done. I was told I must have my funds in my dedicated account in 5 - 7 business days. It is the law. I made a large deposit to payoff bills which was not done. Freedom told me it will take up to 3 weeks to get my funds. So, this is another fight I will have with them.. It is my money and give it to me NOW.. All they have to do is transfer to my checking account. Now is that hard??? This is one company you should stay away from.
Original Review: I would not tell anyone about Freedom Debt. I had the sheriff in my driveway serving me a notice. You're too slow on settling even when I sent you extra money...very dissatisfied with your company. Your company has me all stress out. I have lawyers now which I probably have to pay for all because you would not settle Bank of America.

The service is real good. It helps and I'd recommend Freedom Debt Relief. The consultant was a good person and I've had good luck talking to him. I liked the way he told me about the program. They also did a good job communicating with me. They got me set up with a client dashboard and they sent me something on the client dashboard. I go on there and find it. If I don't like it, I call them and find out more about it. Now, they're starting to take care of some of the problems with all that cards. But the settlement is gonna take 48 months. That’s what I set it up on, for the price. They're real good on working with me on the payment plan.

I was unpleasantly surprised at first, when my credit rating took a 300 point hit. I have come to terms with that, and my credit recovery is on it's way. I would recommend that your counselors make clients more aware of that fact. Otherwise, good job.

After one year in the program, I was invited to apply for Consolidation Plus and have been working to settle my debts even faster! Everything has gone smoothly and almost all of my debts are settled. Once that is complete, I will be interested to see how the transition from Freedom to Consolidation Plus is handled. The agent I spoke to on the phone was fantastic! She did amazing with my issues and gave me all the answers I need. However, I never hear from my personal agent, I have had to call multiple times to understand about my account status and was given false information multiple times. I was told on the 7th I had a payment being made for my last settlement and that turned out to be wrong. Mind you at that point I never agreed to any settlements. Then I was told my consolidation loan was to start in May from the very beginning and now it’s supposed to start next month? I am very upset with how long it’s taken this last settlement and the communication I have been promised that I do not have. Feel free to reach out to me once you actually take care of my account. I've had limited interactions with customer service but those that I have had were very easy and resolved my issue on the first call. I'm a little put off by the fees that are charged as it almost halves my payments to actual creditors but I get that this is how they make money so I'm less concerned and glad to be in a position to pay off my debt with an easy monthly payment.

Freedom Debt Relief is helping me with my credit cards to get my credit cards and personal loans out of debt. Their rep seems really nice. I feel comfortable with her and I don't have a problem with her at all. They were good enough work with me on my payment plan.They're taking money out of my account every two weeks, and if they're doing that, they're doing their job. Every now and then, I look into my account to see where I'm at but I don't see any problems. I'm pretty satisfied with Freedom Debt Relief and I have recommended them to a couple of people already. If I would have known how easy it was to consolidate. I would have done it sooner. Signed up and had little to no contact with creditors. Freedom Debt Relief handled it all. Very knowledgeable. Did not push to join and a relief from stress and a great help, in correcting my debt and credit rating. I would use again if I ever get into debt again which I will not. I paid my creditors on time but the money was getting less and less what I made and getting harder and harder to keep up the pay on time.

Updated on 05/12/2021: I was sued by a creditor due to negligence on FDR missightedness - yes one of my accounts was duplicated with wrong accounts #, thus being enrolled in the program created a problem with representation...although I enrolled in the legal program no representation was present for court causing me to be sued and WAGES to be garnished!
Original Review: I'm not sure why there are moving on with a willing client regarding my debt... Instead they keep trying to get me to authorize a settlement on a client who not only escalated the amount owed... but raised the value of the settlement as well. Freedom Debt Relief doesn't look like it is trying to promptly handle my other accounts!

I spoke with Michelle on May 14 because, after downloading my account data from Crossroads Fin. Technologies and analyzing them in spreadsheet format, it appeared that the settlement fees I was paying far exceeded the amount being paid to creditors. Michelle was extremely friendly, polite and professional. She walked through my spreadsheet with me and explained how fees are allocated as a percentage of the gross amount placed for resolution for each account. She also explained that, since I am resolving accounts with very high balances early in my program, fees will appear to be "front loaded" but over the entire term of my program they will level off and decline to the amount stipulated in my original agreement with FDR. Michelle did a thorough, professional job - she should be commended both for her knowledge of how the FDR debt resolution program works and her superb customer service skills.

I spoke with someone in the early morning (PST) when I saw on my dashboard that my graduation was 2 months early; she confirmed and cancelled the coming draft for this month and said she would cancel all upcoming drafts; when I received the email confirmation, it had the coming month cancelled, but resumed the following month and every month thereafter for 1 year. I called on my lunch break and the matter was quickly resolved, apologized for the error and I even get a small refund of $20 at some point when my whole case is tied up in a graduation bow! I am so happy I am done and thank you so much! EVERY person has been kind, helpful, and wanted to see me at this end goal of graduation asap! I reached it 2 months early so GO ME!!! The only problem I found is that I was originally told that if I made the payments that it would take five years or until 2020 to finish. Now as we are going along that was changed to 2022. That is 2 more years of deposits and a lot more money out of my pocket.

Was hoping payments would go faster and talking to all debtors to let let them know where we are at so we would wouldn't have to talk to the same people 2 or 3 times a week. Being a senior citizen now on a fixed income I was still using my credit cards like I did before retiring. Before I knew it I was close to maxing out and only able to pay off the minimum monthly. Freedom Debt Relief was the perfect solution. I now do not have these credit cards available to me and I’m learning how to stay on a budget. Unfortunately I signed a contract so I can’t stop working with this company. The service is awful. This is such a stressful time for people when trying to get out of debt. Your score drops every other day and creditors are calling non stop and you’re getting letters threatening lawsuits. No one from this company explains this and no one answers your pleas for help or answers your emails and phone calls.

I couldn't be happier with the Freedom from Debt program. My credit card debt was out of control and they provided an affordable way to clear my debt. It takes time, as I well aware, but by making my arranged monthly payments I am starting to pay off my credit cards one by one. My credit has suffered initially, but no worse than when all the failure to pay and delinquent payments would have caught up to me. It would have taken twice as long to pay these cards off by myself.
I followed their recommendations to change my contact information so that when creditors called or emailed they would reach an agent at Freedom from Debt. The first month was the worst, payments were becoming seriously overdue and the calls and letters started to arrive. I had 9 credit cards! After the first month the calls and emails became less frequent, and by the third month an occasional letter would show up in my mailbox. Today, I receive no harassing phone calls, letters, or emails. So, way to go Freedom from Debt! That alone has made the fees worth paying.
As I write today, still in my first year of the program, I have 1 card completely paid off and 3 others in the settlement phase. That means that a settlement has been agreed on and I am making monthly payments towards wiping those cards debt out. I like how Freedom from Debt is able to settle the accounts within the amount I agreed to make monthly. It never changes, as long as you make your monthly payments all settlements and fees are resolved within your payments. No hassles, no worries.
At first I really didn't understand how this actually could work out but the information Freedom from Debt provided to me when I first signed up answered just about every possible question I had. There are also videos on the website to further clarify issues. I have always been able to reach someone immediately by phone if I had a question. Freedom from Debt is an amazing program and I don't know where I would be now without their assistance. I can't say enough good things about them. Life changing!

I could answer the phone without worrying about harassment by creditors or threats that had me worrying all the time about what was next. Much easier to balance my limited income with only 1 payment a month automatically deducted from my checking account.

I haven't been hearing from anyone. This is a scary situation. I have been getting emails, but not hearing from anyone via phone. My funds are already put in place for draft on May 24th. My son is in school right now but when he finished in May 2020, I will be contributing more into the escrow so I can finish payments earlier.

We are with Freedom Debt Relief right now and stuck. It is extremely misleading and now that I have really gone over what they are doing and just got off the phone with customer service, I just wanted to throw up! They talk about this debt reduction of nearly half and let me tell you it isn't even close. The tack on fees that you don't see coming until it's to late to get out of it. And the fees they tossed at us is 21%, OUCH! Now we are so far in and the interest has climbed so much, we're stuck. They don't call the debt holders ahead of time to let them what is going on. So you get phone calls and letters daily from creditors, along with lawyers trying to file a lawsuit against you.
Two years now just dealing with creditors and lawyers, with no end in sight. The stress is unbearable, I was just better off paying the minimum balance every month. At least I wouldn't have to deal with the stress of calls and letters everyday. Then since they didn't call ahead of time, they want you to do the leg work that you pay them for. "fax over the letter", "give of the name and number of the creditor." How about you do the job I pay you for!! All in all, Just STAY AWAY from Freedom Debt Relief.

Lady was very helpful with information of where I stand with these creditors. She said I am in a good position to close these accounts soon and recommended to stay with the same monthly deductions and if I add more to my monthly, they disappear sooner than your completed dateline.

I thought there was no hope for me, thinking my worst nightmare about bankruptcy, then someone suggested FDR to me. Just relief and able to think clearly is the biggest blessing personally. Slow process in getting the creditors to accept offers therefore it hinders me the client from getting any credit and I’m not sure how fast Freedom Relief is moving to resolve my situation with creditors. I’m hoping that the situation will get better or all the issues will be resolved sooner.

I have called in to see how an account is going and every time I call I am told something different things. I feel I am being lied to every time I call. I am getting very dissatisfied. I even sent in extra money as suggested. You have a debt taken care of then after weeks and weeks, I was told there is no money to take care of the account.

We called to inquire about Consolidation Plus (CR) contacting us. They reassured us that they were a sister company and they offer their program to FDR clients who they think are fit for the program that will ultimately get the clients debt paid off quicker. FDR explained in depth about the company which convinced us to call CR back and listen about the program. The CR company explained it just like FDR, which lets me know that the FDR staff is totally knowledgeable about the company's program and who they work for.

I honestly don’t know what to write. I did had a good experience with customer service and would recommend any one who needs this kind of assistance. There a lot of debt consolidators but you guys are better to me. I was with one before and they are not clear. They are slow. Not efficient at all so I chose you.

Updated on 04/24/2020: I worked with Liz and she was trying to do everything she could to help me. She explained everything in detail. I had a good credit score and I wasn't late in any of my payments but I was getting so aggravated with paying interest on the credit cards. She told me that it was gonna be hard on my credit for a while. I had some papers filed in court against me from one of the places and she told me what to do if that happened. So I sent the paperwork in and that was taken care of. Most of the accounts have already accepted payments now.

My only concern with this program is that when I had a chance to litigate a claim, how to get it done was not clear to me and I was left to fend for myself with that client. Had it been made clear to me about the timeline I would have had this behind me instead I have a default judgment against me.

My bank denied my normal payment for some reason. I called customer service and the woman on the phone assured me they would only take one payment out of my account and they took two. She said she called their bank to make sure that this exact problem would not happen and it did. I'm sure I will get my money returned to me, they have done it in the past. But I am stuck with bounced check and overdraft fees. Other than that I am very happy with the company, my debt is disappearing and my credit score was still high enough to buy a new truck. Their method is excellent.

We were interested in debt settlement at the time and I researched and felt that Freedom Debt Relief was the best fit for us. We're happy with our program. It's working out really well and we're very pleased. We dealt with Rob. He's very qualified and knowledgeable. He was also very helpful and sympathetic, and he made us feel very comfortable. And if I have any questions about anything, their customer service is right on it. Working with FDR is making things a lot better for us. We're coming along with it and hopefully, we'll be out of debt and breathing a lot better thanks to the payment plan.
