This process with Freedom Debt Relief has been very positive so far. With their help, I am out from underneath my largest debt with a HUGE savings! I call FDR cause I receive letter from a creditor that we paid off once with a different credit card and was constantly call, sending message, sending me letters or statements. Finally they sent me a letter telling me they would notiscate my balance for less $ to settle my account. I sent copy to FDR so they could move forward with that account. They were very helpful like always.

Contract stated 2 payments a month & verbal agreement was done, very sly over phone and biweekly payments was not agreed upon. I was led to believe monthly payment and I was deceived. No, I wouldn't recommend this type of debt relief program.

So far 2 out of eleven have been taken care of. People on the phone are friendly and able to help when needed. The dashboard is very helpful with lots of information needed. Educate you on credit debt and what to do after your debt is taken care of.

Everything was explained in detail. It went very smoothly and the communication was great. I received the paperwork in the mail fast explaining everything I needed to do. Whenever I have a question I call and my is returned the same day. Doing this took so much of a burden off my shoulders.

I guess I am satisfied with the program. I am new to it. But I guess it is a slow process. I see one item being settled. The telephone calls are not as bothersome as when I first started. Still wondering if I am doing the right thing.

I am being taken to court due to an error made by FDR and its affiliates. A creditor is claiming they never received payment, though I paid $4200. I've requested proper documentation (the documents they sent had another creditor's name on it), but haven't received it. I've been told by three supervisors/leadership that they would work on it and get back with me. They have never responded and my attempts to reach out to them were unanswered. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service/care through this experience. And it may cost me wage garnishments despite the fact that I'd already paid the money. If there is someone in UPPER management that can help, please do. The three that I've spoken with in the leadership team have initially indicated they would help, then then dropped it and never responded to my follow-up.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I found myself in an untenable financial situation - one faced by millions of Americans - debt exceeding income, and unable to service that debt. Unable to secure a loan to eliminate it, I turned to Freedom Debt Relief for help. The representative was professional and efficient, but most of all, understanding and kind. She explained how the entire process would work, the timeline involved, and what to expect. She walked me through the obligatory paperwork took the time to make certain I understood - she didn’t rush me. After everything was completed I felt this enormous weight lift off my shoulders - all because of FDR and their excellent people. I have a credit card with Centris Federal Credit Union that had a 500 balance when I signed my agreement with Freedom. I've paid more to you than that and the card hasn't been settled. Why? You are not managing my accounts very well.

Friendly! Fast! Efficient! are three words that I can describe this company with. I wanted to consolidate the debt that I had to make 1 monthly payment and get ahead instead of falling behind because of personal situations. It started out ok. Then my husband was laid off and all we had was our Social Security checks. We were about 65,000 less to work with. And instead of working with us they wanted more money. Demanding. More money before we even got our checks. They had increased our amount from 860 to 1000 and they were still hounding us for money. No one would work with us so we were to file bankruptcy Monday. But when we call to exit the program the lady was telling us she could lower our payments. If any of the persons we talk to since January of this year had worked with us like the lady on the exit call we would not have had to file bankruptcy. But trying to give you the money that your company was demanding from us keep us from paying other bills.
Plus we found out that there was at least 1 creditor that had a lien on our property. They were in the debt program but we could not get a answer from anyone in your company why they let it go that far and if they were going to due to take care of it. Bankruptcy is the last thing we wanted to do but your company force us in to it for it was the only way to solve. Our problem we are 67 and 65 with health problems and the medical bills are eating up a big chunk of our money.

Updated on 05/18/2020: I am thankful for Freedom Debt Relief. I had a lot of debt and was running out of time and money. I am a senior citizen and no income now other than social security.. Ive been able to settle 3 of 5 of my debts and making more progress. In these times of such a pandemic, nothing in life is guaranteed.. However, with Freedom it has lessened one burden.. peace of mind. They took on my burden with just one payment per month. To me, it's worth it and allows me to breathe a little more air. I am so glad I made my decision to go with Freedom!

I would never be able to pay off all of my debt without the help from this program. So far I have been saved money by FDR settling some of my debt. I am concerned about taxes. I am also, honestly, am a little nervous about my finances and credit score. I am trying to save for taxes and pay more into FDR. But I am delighted with the progress they have made!

For the past year I have been enrolled into the FDR program and was satisfied up until I was served papers from US Bank late May. Taking into consideration US bank was my largest creditor account I was thinking why they weren't focused onto making a structural settlement before the other accounts I have. I have been very displeased how things have escalated to. If I knew this would've happened I wouldn't have enrolled into the FDR program and chose another option on handling my debt. If things can get better on settling with US bank I would change my rate but until then it'll stay the same.

I was a little worried when my deposit did not come out of my checking account on Monday morning. That was the reason I called but when I checked later my deposit had been taken out. I guess that means we are good.

I enrolled almost $20,000 and over half of my debt has been or is being resolved. It's good to only have the one payment which comes out bi-weekly for me. It's manageable. My only concern is the "settlement fees" which are sometimes higher than the settlement. Maybe I just don't understand what they include. Overall though, I am satisfied with the program.

I had requested changing the frequency of the withdrawals from my accounts. But after several months it is the same schedule as before with the same amounts being withdrawn from my accounts. The change was from every two weeks to the 1st and 15th with an increase of payment to make up the difference.

I am very satisfied with my experience so far. The only problem is I have had accounts closed on me due to the past due balances on my open accounts. The accounts that were closed had no balances. Also, Walmart lowered my balance even though my account was current and I always paid more than the minimum amount due.

Very fast, so far they have backed up their estimations on savings and then some. I had a 5,500 card settled for 1,800. Also had a 3,500 balance settled for 1,200. It took about 4 months for the 1st settlement but once I had enough funds built for them to work with they went to work.

Received a message about adding an additional debt. However, was told that I needed to increase monthly payments by about $100, which I thought was a little high. However, I had no other alternative but to add the account and try to see where I will get the extra money.

This is just my opinion! But even though you are helping people eventually reduce their debt! Personally I would encourage people to try and do it themselves if at all possible! The Ridiculous fees and the manner in which Freedom resolves the debt. Isn’t very smart for the customers and could greatly reduce the customers payouts if they went about it more efficiently. Allowing the customers debt to balloon with late fees and or interests. Along with the Freedom charges. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And makes it look like they don’t have the customers best interests in mind!!!

I was paying 25% interest on my debt but while they steered me to a reduced amount they also used Consolidated Debt to fund what I owed. While it was less in total, they charge 24% interest. I think 15% is more in keeping with people in trouble. I would carefully look at repayment options before selecting.

I can vividly remember the first time I heard about Freedom Debt Relief on social media, I was scared and feel insecure. I was scared to shared my data information, especially with so many negatives about fdr online. I guess it's from those that are impatient to let them do the magic. Honestly, I just take the risk and push everything in God's hand since I have no others option, the debt have engrossed me. I shouldn't afford to pay my monthly bill due to family; with 2 kids and wife pregnant for 3rd baby which just deliver on July 22nd 2019, we didn't make enough and not depend on government benefits, we try our best to go back to school and get a better jobs.
Now, that I was able to see positive sight that one out of my creditor have agreed to settle with my debt I feel so relieved and can at least breathe. I would recommend this to those that's going through hard time like me, and make sure they stand firm again with fdr help. Of course, your credit score would be affected but along the line with great determination it will back up again.

Process is taking a little longer than I thought or was told when I was SOLD (was told 4 to 5 months if I remember correctly), getting killed by creditors phone calls minimum 30 a day, but beside that appreciates the updates and working for me. Thanks.

I am not happy with the time frame to resolve debt. Creditors are not understanding to the process. I receive phone calls on a regular basis which is very stressful. This makes you wonder if you have the right decision. If I knew the long process I would not of entered in the program. I would have a different decision.

I was pleased on the response I received and how nice my person was to me and treated me like a person who needed help. My only negative thing was how one of my creditors kept warning me to not go to you and said look at the lawsuit they had against freedom. That just scared us to death. We almost quit but our agent talked to us and calm us down. So far everything has gone just as we were told it would. We still are getting calls but not as many as before and being warned about your company.

Updated on 06/30/2022: I have just made another settlement and will soon have everything concluded. I could have probably not ever done it on my own though I did attempt to make settlements with some of the creditors on my own. But apparently they have to involve a middle man, everyone has to make a living. Anyway, I'm glad I chose the route I did, I've had a positive experience with Freedom.

High fees and inaccurate information on balances and graduation dates. Requested the same information on my balances several times, and I was given a different answer by members of customer service many times within the past months. Portal gives no information on your the balances of each account you are paying on only showing many payments you have left. Not knowing how much I currently owe on each account every month is very bothersome on making sure I know where my money is being dispersed.

It takes an incredible amount of time to pay anything off and for payments to post. Even when paying chunks off at a time it seems to be dragged out as long as possible. Paying $200 a month and only $30 going towards an account and $25 to "fees" causes more frustration than relief.

I have been enrolled with FDR for a bit over a year and the experience was going well until one of the creditors I consolidated summons me into court. I believed I would be assisted with the legal part of this court proceeding but apparently because I did not enroll on time in their National Litigation Law Group, I am now left alone and now possibly having to get a lawyer separate from FDR to help with my proceedings.
Not only am I feeling cheated and alone, now every time I call to inquire about the settlement for this creditor, I get a different answer from the customer service representatives. I called on July 11th, 2019 I was told this debt would be settled by the end of July, beginning of August. This gave me hope because I have a a court date in August. Today, I was told that this case will not be settled (maybe) until September. I am beyond frustrated, this is complete nightmare. Do not enroll with these company because when the things get tough, they leave you hang to dry.

Was asking about lawsuit. Was told it had been resolved. Went to Freedom Debt Relief. Was reading about money received for deposits was all not directed money for deposits. Also read that clients were told all creditors would be negotiated. That was not true. I don't know if I have all my deposits applied to accounts, hope. I was told by a represntive. I know that you have changed the policy that a client would not be charged a fee when no reduction was made. I was charged nearly 2400.00 for an account that did not get reduced. I understand that it was before you changed the policy but in hindsight it would be considerate that some of the fee be returned to me. I will not ever recommend FDR until I get something back from the 2400.00 fee.

So far I'm happy with the result. Slowly but surely that I can pay all my debt. I'm so thankful that there are company who's willing to help me. I used to pay my bill on time... until Wyndham company take advantage of me. Like they offer us the timeshare. We pay them monthly but we never get whatever they promise us. So I just stop paying that company... And some company. If you pay only minimum, they have extra charge. So greedy. That's why I'm so thankful I found out about the debt relief program. At first I was scared but things are working out. Got my first settlement after 4 months which is good. I make sure my payment is always covered and not dishing out the payments is a relief. I am so happy to be a part of this program! It really is helping. FDR calculates what you can give monthly to the banks, and they talk to the creditors, I only worry about getting informed on my end. They are great at communicating things to me. The only thing that was not clear from the beginning was the 1099C form. I feel like they should have talked about it from the beginning to let the person know they would have to pay back on taxes atleast a 25%.... but other than that it is a great program. Great team!!

Very pleased with the progress and its timing. The monthly payments are pretty reasonable. The customer service is great. Seem very knowledgeable. I was recruited into this debt reduction program from your representative with promises of how my debt will be cut in half very quickly. I made my payments up to $4-5K and ZERO action was taking place. I made several inquiries and was told they weren't sure why nothing has happened because there are sufficient funds to start negotiations. Soon after this I was approached to do a consolidation loan, hmm, why didn't we do that in the first place? Now I see the corruption. My loans total 33K... Ooo, you go the creditors down to half but my loan is at 26% and your fees take me back up to paying $26K. And after all this, my credit is crap. This whole process is a scam. I plan to file with the BBB. On top of this, now you tell me I will have to claim this as earnings on my taxes, wow.

Everyone was kind and understanding when I had questions, and my debt was settled in under a year, with a savings of about $10,000! I would highly recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone in over their heads! Agencies dealt with my creditors, and I never had to handle nasty phone calls from them wanting their money. This program has been literally life changing for me. I went through a bad time in my life, and when I finally got back on track I was struggling to just meet minimum payments. I always thought that programs like this were scams. I am so glad that I did research on this one and finally gave it a chance, because like I said, it has changed my life. Everything is so smooth, and the customer service is just unbelievable. Someone is there to walk you through every single step of the process. Everything is explained so well and all questions get answered! If you have to call, you actually get a real person, not just an automated system. It's a disaster. Would not recommend. I would never put my friends thru anything like this. I could do better than they do. It's a sham. I would never recommend any to do it. You can settle your settlements faster than they do!!!

I’ve been enrolled since December and they’ve only settled on 2 of my 6 debts so far. 1 within the last week. Settlements haven’t been that great of a decrease in what’s owed. May have been better off paying on my own. I don’t know. Seems my debt almost doubled before it settled.

The service you provide is definitely needed. But when you have a client that can’t even afford the reduced payment every month I think it would be appropriate to recommend to the client to file bankruptcy. If not the client experiences more financial hardship. This can cause many mental, physiological problems. I will end by saying that your services are definitely needed though.
