They have not helped us that much. The program has benefited us like we thought it would. They cannot negotiate all of your debts. Be careful when you consider programs like this. It can help some people, but not all. It's been a little misleading.

I had serious doubts about this program but I am halfway through my debt and I discovered they even let the 3 credit reporting agencies know when a card has been taken care of; I am extremely happy about the program and the updates they provide.

I got a Freedom Debt Relief program to get free of my debt. They do it one by one or two by two, and they're doing very well. My consultant is very good. If I have some problem, I call her and talk about it. FDR is also good at working with me on my payment plan. The quality of service I get from them is excellent.

This company has been very helpful in negotiating and account solving. They are courteous and professional at all times I’ve communicated with them. The only fault I have is their fee is a little high. They charge me 21% plus other fees too. Almost worth those amounts.

The consultant I deal with from Freedom Debt Relief has been great. The knowledge that they have to deal with the problems are their courtesy are impressive. I have been stuck in a debt whole for the last 5 years and 3 years ago I found Freedom Debt Relief. After speaking with customer service recently, I was able to get a breakdown of how much it would be to complete the program. I seriously don't understand how I just got started with my program and I'm already having problems with this company. I've been trying to reach them and always get put on hold, my online account says that I'm negative 33 dollars when I have already given them 228 dollars but don't see any deposits. Been trying to enter the correct credit card account number and it tells me its wrong...How can be wrong if I have it in front of me.

I believe it is entirely too soon to be asked to write a review. It has been barely a month since signing on and therefore what can be accomplished in that short of time. It would be wonderful but unrealistic. The dashboard has been asking for an update on an account for about two weeks now. I've tried to update via the dashboard and have called FDR twice. Oh, yes it has been corrected according to the reps, but not according to the red alert on the dashboard website. Hummmm.

Called and emailed information about a summons I received but was told I had to resolve the summons I received on my own. Because I pay for services, I thought Freedom Dept services would be able to help. I misplaced the paperwork but when I found it it was passed the deadline. The lawyers said they could only help if it was 48 hours after receiving the summons that they could help me.

I started with this program 10 months ago and in 10 months they have only paid off one account. I was struggling with payments on my accounts when I started the program but at least they were not in default. Now they are all in default and I am worse off than when I started, so I ended the program because I felt dissatisfied with the results. When I called to end program they told me they would take their fees and send me a refund of the balance. After not hearing from them I inquired again about my refund and at this time they told me there is no refund after they took their fees.
So I paid in over 5,000 dollars. They settled one account for 2,000 and took the rest for fees so they charged me more than 50% of the money I put into the account for fees. I am very disappointed and very dissatisfied with the outcome and wish I had never enrolled in this program. At least then my bills would not be in default and I would not be out over 3,000 dollars for nothing. I could have paid off one of my cards with that money.

Since My wife and I have started with FDR they have been great and non judgemental. They have been extremely helpful and polite. They have work with us and have made numerous suggestions on how to properly handle debt callers. Since we have been with FDR we settled numerous credit card accounts for half or less than owed. I was worried at first about using FDR but We are very glad we went ahead with our gut and trusted This company. They are great at what they do and nonjudgemental. They especially want to assist you with fairly getting out of debt as quickly as possible. My wife and I are recommending FDR to our friends and family that really want to get out of debt. Updated on 03/11/2021: FDR has proven to be a reliable and excellent source to resolve customers' financial hardships. They approached me in 2018 and I started availing their services. Within two years, 5 out of 10 of my accounts have been paid of and remaining in process. Few of these 5 remaining soon to be resolved. FDR has given me peace of mind and I thank them!

Your debt keeps going up. They don't settle your debt for what you enroll. They lie and give you a settlement number and do the opposite, then tell you, "it's in the paperwork, you should've read it." If you do the math the amount of months comes out way more than what they say. I enrolled 25000. They told me 12 to 13000 to settle lies!!!! And it's all included. No, it's not. They will say anything to enroll you. My advice don't let them negotiate and make money off you. You can call your creditor and do it yourself. Stay away from FDR. They were investigated and had to pay back money for hidden charges. Look it up on Google.

It is still early into my program however, within a month I had my first settlement which brought great relief. The process went very smoothly... MY only complaint which I was to expect is the constant calling of creditors. I did purchase a firewall blocker which only allows numbers of people I know. Looking forward to getting every creditor settle.

Even though I got a call unrelated to my FDR enrolled accounts, I was still able to have someone listen to my problem & then give me advice on what to do next which was very helpful. It did end up being a scam so I am very thankful for the assistance that was provided.

I'm glad with the process. But it is a long process even with the loan for negotiations with creditors. I will still be paying for all my debts long after they are negotiated for. Probably well over five years money will be taken out of my paycheck. But it is what it is.

I received a letter threatening collection agency action. I called FDR to see how I should respond. I was told to email a copy of the letter and to do nothing else. I have only gotten good advice so I complied.

I have been offered and decline the same Nordstrom offer four times. I got a better offer myself before I started this and did not owe any fees. I just want my Chase account settled. I really feel you are not doing the best for us and are just looking to grind out your fees as soon as enough money is in an account without really working anything so not happy.

Wasn’t expecting CitiBank card to go to collections so not very happy. The customer service told me it was my responsibility to contact collections/Bank to try and take it off my credit score. I thought the idea of going through Freedom was for you to take care of these situations.

Every time I call customer service, I am applauded on how great I am doing so far. I started in November 2018 with 6 creditors, and now it is August 2019, and 3 have been resolved so far. I have been with Freedom Financial for almost 5 years. Most of their customer service reps are incompetent and are mean. If you dont agree to settlements, they threaten to liquidate your account or legal action.

Someone told me that Freedom Debt Relief is serious in what they are doing, and so I started using them. I was looking for some help because I cannot pay almost $400 a month in student loans because it is too high for me, and I'm halfway through it. I continue to make my payment to Freedom Debt Relief, and for the past year, I’m satisfied. I would recommend it. They helped me very much in getting all my credit cards taken care of. I received a letter from Bank of America saying that the last credit card was settled, and everything seems fine. I'm very satisfied as well because the group of lawyers sent me an email saying I don't need them anymore. So, I don't have to pay the little amount monthly to them. Everything is according to plan. They did a very good job.

Not what I expected. Settlements made have been higher than expected but what has really made me second guess my decision to enroll with FDR are all the fees. Their settlement fee is more than I thought. Then for each payment made to creditors there is a $10 fee. I had a recent settlement that they agreed to 36 payments. That's $360 in "check fees".
My account when I enrolled was $4200. After late fees, FDR fees and fees from my dedicated account to pay creditors I ended up paying $3800. I only saved $400! Another settlement after fees I saved like $36!?! Also according to a rep I chatted with the other day certain creditors won't settle with FDR. They will sue you and you'll be stuck with court fees and still have to work out a settlement in court. While my monthly deposits to FDR are less than what I was paying each creditor each month I'm not 100% sure this was the best option for me but I've got 4 more years until "graduation" from the program. Hopefully in the end I'll see the benefits however for the time being I'm not very happy.

While I was at first apprehensive to start this process, it has proven to be a great decision to do so. It has easy to move forward as their representatives have given complete and detailed information at all times and although I have only been enrolled for 4 months, I have already had a resolution of one large account a better percentage than I expected. I keep paying. My credit score going down. It's not a trusted company. I'm very upset. They keep adding year in my account. They want to suck up the money out of you. I make a big mistake so horrible experience. I wish people go and check for another option.

Depending upon the condition of your credit report at the time you enroll, a debt settlement plan like ours could have a negative effect on your credit report and credit score. However, if your score is already suffering, you may need to solve your debt issues before your credit can rise. Our program is designed for people who are most focused on getting out of debt.

I am happy that I was able with the help of FDR to accomplish my goals and reduce my debt, but I wasn’t expecting a drop in my score that effected my other cards and closed them. If I knew from the beginning I would have discussed all of my options. Also, because of this problem with the low score I was kind of forced to participate in another loan option to help me overcome my problem with time. At the end of the day it is not an easy decision.

FDR has been very good about answering questions for us. The only negative so far is that when we upload important documents to the client dashboard, we have to wait 48 hours to get confirmation that they received the documents.

I had credit card debt, and Freedom Debt Relief provided consolidation for it. It has been a good experience and I'm done with the payment. The reps I dealt with were all good. They answered my questions and provided me what I needed. Their payment plan was fine. It was difficult to keep their drafts coming out, but other than that, it wasn’t long-term. It was just to get out of debt. Working with this company relieves the stress of having a lot of debt.

I can't believe it. I have been enrolled for just a little over 6 months now and the total number of my enrolled debtors has been literally cut in half. I really didn't understand the loan process. I was thinking that with the loan amount that I was approved for that with that my creditors will be paid and I will pay back the loan monthly. I'm not really understanding the complete process.

I just started the program but no payments to my credit cards have been made so far. I have to wait and see how things go for now. Only problem I have is when adding a card to my program they seem to miss one. The same one I’ve been try to add twice. Kinda weird but other than that I’m happy.

The first few months of this program are very stressful. I was served by sheriff only 2 months into my program. Fortunately, I did pay for the legal assistance through Freedom Debt Relief. A local attorney call me and took over everything and within 10 days had my debt settled with the creditor that was suing me for judgment. Now I feel good about the program. I didn't know whether I could trust them or not in the beginning. The Freedom Debt Relief has shown to be very trustworthy and providing assistance just as they promised.

Updated on 11/26/2020: My husband signed up for the program and he passed away in June. I've been married to the man for 46 years. Right now, I've been trying to get used to things, paying the bills and doing everything on my own. I like the program and I'll just change everything over. Freedom Debt Relief seemed easy to work with. They consolidated everything, and got stuff settled at a discounted rate. If I have any questions and concerns, I contacted Freedom Debt Relief through email and they got back to me in 24 to 48 hours. It was all done through email. It would've been a better if they would've disclosed that they weren't gonna help rebuild my credit. It would've been nice to know, so I would've went with somebody else. Also, they sat on a couple of my debts for over a year, which was kind of bad. But in the end, they got rid of all my credit card debt.

Great customer service. Lady helped me out great. Fixed my problem. I had a problem with the new supplemental payment, lady took good care of it. On 22 June 2019 someone there was supposed to add 115.00 to my supplemental account but they failed to do it. She fixed that so they could start taking out 619.00 instead of 501.00, thanks.

Updated on 06/28/2022: The main result for me from using Freedom Debt Relief is the daily stress level dropping to zero. Right off the bat when I started this program I felt a huge weight lift from my shoulders. It was a big win for my wife and I and we could concentrate on our goals we wanted to accomplish as a married couple. The debt we accumulated snuck up on us gradually until one day we realized we were in trouble. Our representative who guided us through the beginning of the program was so understanding and friendly it was almost to good to be true. It's been about 3 years or so and out of 6 credit cards, we're about 2/3 of the way through completion of our goal. It was so easy I can't believe more families don't take advantage of this opportunity to eliminate paying interest the rest of their lives. Thank you FDR. You've been a Godsend and I'll always remember the way you helped us solve our debt problem.
Original Review: It was an exciting opportunity to get rid of nagging payments that never seemed to go down because of interest. After a couple of months the threatening phone calls and letters started. A couple of more months later they intensified. It started getting scary. I contacted my Representative Beau and shared my concern. After a calm reassurance by him I came away with a sense of relief knowing I made the right choice in Freedom Debt Relief to handle this seemingly never ending Merry go round of minimum payments keeping my wife and I from paying the balances off of our credit cards. Even though I am thrilled with the recent settlement to Am Ex. I was told there was a settlement with my Barclay account in March didn’t happen. They are now garnishing my wages. 100 each pay. Also told one was reached with Chase.

Freedom Debt Relief and I worked out a plan and I started back in October. They walked me through a lot of things. Whoever answered the phone when I called helped me out so much and put me at ease to what was going on. When it’s about all the negotiation and stuff like that, FDR kept me abreast and let me have some input on certain things. I made my first payment in November and it went so well. Everything is paid off at the end of last month and I finally graduated. I'm starting on phase two which is getting a little bit of consolidation loan and I have no complaints at this time. It was a great experience. I have recommended FDR to anybody who wants to try ‘cause I was getting a lot of heavy debt and they helped me.

I fell into some debt problems after I took a server packet from my job. I got scammed by someone on social media who pretended to be a good friend of mine and then I later found out that it wasn't the person I thought it was. And I was scammed out of money I that I hadn't saved up for years. I was wondering how I was going to pay my bills and keep myself from filing bankruptcy. So I started searching for answers and looked up debt relief programs too help with my creditors. To make a long story short, Freedom Debt Relief called me as I were trying to make up my mind about what to do. I signed up with them and I'm so grateful for their help. As soon as I signed, months later they negotiated two of my credit cards down to half of what I owe. Yes I am very happy that I have them on my side working for my behalf.

I dealt with a very pleasant and knowledgeable representative who added my new bank information and pushed my payment date back a day so my old bank account wasn't charged. The old bank account was still charged. There isn't enough in there to cover payment and I will be assessed fees.

My experience has been great so far. I got a court notice, but I contacted FDR right away. Their litigation department was very proactive in negotiating a settlement with American Express. That was the one account that I was concerned with. Stay committed to your monthly payments and things should work out.

Ok, so yes I’m giving it a bad review but still in it. If you want your debt paid off as quickly as possible so that you can start building your credit back, and you are approved for a consolidation plus loan to make that happen then it might be a good deal for you. But just know that the fees charged will bring your “settled” balance up to about what you owed in the first place. Know that you can get similar settlements if you work directly with your creditors, so if you’ve got some time I suggest you just handle it yourself. My neighbor and I argued on this so I went with FDR and he did it himself. His settlements we almost the same as what Freedom got me except he didn’t pay all the fees I did. I appreciate the service they provide but they must make money hand over fist.

For a long time I was very stressed because of the debts of my credit cards. For a long time I was paying only the minimum payment and I was more stressed when I saw that my debt did not go down, but a company of personal loans contacted me and offered me a Low interest loan to pay my cards, and I decided to apply. Shortly afterwards they called me to tell me that the Freedom program was more convenient, I asked for information and it seemed good and I took it and now I am very happy to see how my debts one by one they disappear, the truth is that thanks to the dream I return and I can sleep peacefully without debt precipitations, thanks to all the Freedom workers for the good work they do.

Updated on 04/08/2022: Freedom Debt Relief negotiates each of the bills to get me a lower price. The rep was very helpful and friendly. He answered any questions or concerns that I had. Freedom Debt Relief set up a payment. They looked at my income so that I could have a manageable amount that I pay into them each month. However, I had one particular debt that didn't go that well. I ended up paying the 100% of what I owed them. But it was one of those things that they tried to go to court with it. I agreed to that. That one didn't work out in my favor. But I didn't have to go to court. Periodically, they have someone who gets in touch with me to see if I want to do a consolidation. It's a good thing. It's just that I haven't built up enough funds. But at some point, I will get there. I'm supposed to be done by next year.
Original review: It is too early to give an evaluation. My experience with Agent was really great. Set me up in a timely fashion and was readily available when I had questions. Was very courteous and made me feel comfortable calling with any questions or concerns.

Ten months after contract we've done exactly as promised, paid off one creditor at negotiated value of 60% of the original debt and working on the second creditor. My only apprehension is the effect on by credit rating and my ability to get a good offer from other creditors.

I was really surprised at how much of a reduction was negotiated. The savings were incredible. On a average so far. I am saving 3,000 per settlement. I was not expecting this at all. In addition, it appears that I might be on a timetable to finish paying my debt, maybe a year and a half earlier than I expected.
