Updated on 09/21/2021: Everything has been perfect. However, in the beginning, they told us it would all be paid off by 2022. But now, it's 2024. They've been really nice and nobody's been rude, however, they gave me another side of the business that they handle and I thought they were rude. It's a partner of theirs. What they do is they loan you so you can pay off all the debt all at once. This guy called me and said, "Because you paid them on time, you can do this program." I filled it out and I would call them but they would not call me back. Finally, I got somebody. He said, "You bounced a check back here, so we can't do it." He was very mean. I would rather have never called. I told Freedom Debt Relief that.
I've been really comfortable working with FDR. They've been fine. They let me know if something else comes back. They're really good at watching my credit. They were able to help my husband and me at a time where we already had a crisis with our son. They were really good to set it up and negotiate it. They did our budget and they realized what we could and could not afford. We pay 600 a month, and at that point, especially, it still was difficult because we had things to pay off and commitments.
Original Review: Customer Service is always helpful and are great problem solvers. I recently called to move my date of deposit up and the representative was very friendly. She was quick and followed up by email to verify the change. This is rare to have this kind of service. I highly recommend this company.

So far ok only made my 1st payment, increased my payments starting in October 2019. Not sure about your charges yet....they're confusing. I haven’t heard from any of my creditors yet. I did change all the information that was given me to the listed creditors I supplied.

Enrolling with Freedom Debt Relief went pretty fast and easy. Taking a hit on the credit and collectors calling, that was an issue at the beginning, but that’s understandable. Every time I try to call Freedom Debt and I ask them questions, they promise to answer it whether it’s customer service or whoever I speak to on the phone. So far, so good.
I don't have any contact with any of them until they're either gonna pay something off, or I call them if I have a question. They don't reach out which is surprising. They don't call you or just to check up with an email. They just kinda disappear into the background until they're ready to pay something off. Also, I didn't like the changeover and I felt I didn't get any advanced warning. I was a little upset with that, unless they did send it out and I just missed it. I would’ve preferred something in the mail or something when they changed over from where when the money’s in here, they automatically pay off an account. Right now, you just put money in there and it just sits, and it may take forever for them to pay off an account which is bizarre.

The reps at Freedom Debt Relief have done a great job and they have answered our questions very well. Usually, they communicated through email when issues were happening. They’ve done a good job helping me with the payment plan too. We’ve been working with FDR getting close to two years and it has decreased my financial stress.

Freedom Debt Relief was the first company that I ran into and that’s what I used. They go out and negotiate what the pay off could be and they do really well. We set up the payment date and it has been like that ever since. I got 12 more months to go and so far, so good. It’s been great.

The Freedom Debt Relief consultants are very positive always. While they address my questions and concerns 100%, communication is a little absent. I wish there was more correspondence as far as something in the mail. Every few months, I call and do a check. They offer a dashboard, but I would rather hear things in person. They’ll send a text message or an email if a settlement is being offered, and I can either accept or decline it through text message or a phone call as well. They also worked well with me for a payment plan. I went with Freedom over other companies for their flexibility and I've been working with them for about 2 years now. Working with Freedom takes care of things well and they're good at helping relieve stress or giving me peace of mind.

Freedom Debt Relief just started on my last debt. So, hopefully, things work good. If I could put the money in my account, I’d be able to get it done. So, I’m blessed. The reps from Freedom Debt Relief have been helpful. But sometimes, I call and they say that they’re not the right location and then they transfer me and I get disconnected. So, there’s some communication errors there. Also, there were a couple of times I did things myself just because I think they were taking too long, so I did it myself on a couple other creditors. But overall, they’ve been good.

Updated on 08/06/2022: We were working and making really good money and had invested in several vacation time shares and paid for them. My wife developed Vertigo and we had to quit work which was driving team from coast to coast. We were just barely able to make the minimum payments on our credit cards. I saw an ad on TV for Freedom Debt Relief and gave them a call. The rest is history, the collection calls stopped and we were just now informed that we had graduated. Oh Happy Day!
Original Review: I had quite a bit of debt all at once. Due to circumstances, we couldn't keep payments up anymore. I read about Freedom Debt Relief then I talked to them. I was impressed with the information they gave me and everything. I decided that they were good. Their reps have been doing pretty good. I get emails and I answer them. I also keep giving them money. Every time they start to get some extra money, they settle something else.
In the end, we are probably only saving 25% once we pay FDR's share. They take it out while they make payments. But it has taken the pressure off of having people calling and sending us mail all the time because we change everything over to FDR's address and phone. Aside from taking a lot of pressure off, being with FDR also stopped the interest from adding up every month on things. So far, we've been with FDR for a little over a year and with them, it's not just as stressful.

The Freedom Debt Relief rep asked me what bills were getting behind and I told him how many credit cards got behind. He said that he could save me some money and get this stuff paid for if I would agree. He got however much money my monthly payments were and he figured it out and said I could save around $500 a month. The payment is taken out every two weeks on the day after I get paid and that way, I make sure that my check gets deposited and there's no overdraft. They already paid off four of my credit cards. My credit score is starting to go back up now. The service from Freedom Debt Relief is excellent and I recommend them to anybody looking for help with their credit.

Freedom Debt Relief had good reviews, so I went with them for my credit card debt. They are easy to work with and they don't bother me. All I did was direct all the credit card address information to them. I get no bills, no phone calls. If they have any settlements, offer, they send me an email saying, “Please approve this offer, ASAP, if you agree with it.” I reply back saying, “Yeah, looks good to me,” and that's it. My two biggest debts are still in negotiation, but they’ve done a good job. They take whatever they're gonna make out of that money per month.

I suffered an accident last year where I was rear-ended, and I was unable to work as much as I could. I was doing fine paying more than the minimum amount off my credit cards, but nothing was coming down. I was paying $200 on one credit card, where a $100 was going to interest, and the other 100 to principal. The worst thing was that, because of the high debt to credit ratio they started bringing down my credit. So instead of $10,000, my credit allowance was down to 7,000 then 5,000, so I was over the limit. So, they started charging these ridiculous fees because of that. It was horrible.
I started out with another company Centerdon Group that I found online, but it turned out that they were a scam. Then, a friend of mine did this with Freedom Debt Relief two years ago. He explained to me that it was basically the same thing that the other company had said, but they were legit. So, he gave me the information, I called them up, and I signed on with them a couple of weeks later. Freedom Debt Relief took into account everything that I owe, and worked out a payment plan to where they would settle. So far, they have settled with two of my creditors for between 50% and 55% of what the total debt was. So, in the long run, I’m not going to be paying three times as much. If I stick with my regular payments, I should be out of debt within three to four years.
Their service is top-notch. They keep me updated of everything that is going on. I get in touch with someone quickly, and they get back to me. They are spot on. Any questions that I have, they answer them. They’re very patient and friendly, and they walked me through any concerns that I have. I also love the client dashboard where you can log in to the website and see your progress. They show you what’s the account that they process at their end. It is amazing. If people are looking to get out of debt quickly and they are being overwhelmed, I would definitely recommend that they use Freedom Debt Relief.

I've been extremely satisfied with Freedom Debt Relief so far. I did my research and it seemed to be the most reputable and reliable company of its kind. They have always been very courteous and informative. They understood what was going. Whenever I have a question, I call and it gets answered promptly. They've been excellent. The process really has been as advertised with the timeframe. I believe I'll be debt-free in another year or so or maybe less than that. It has gone fairly smoothly. My sister recommended Freedom Debt Relief and then my brother went in first. I was already struggling with so much credit cards and I didn’t know what to do because what we were paying off was too much. My husband was the only one working, then with the bills and everything else, I was like, “No, I can't do this.” Freedom Debt Relief helped me with the court stuff or not going. The lawyer is in charge of it already. And then they come to some payment. Everything is going fine. At first, the payments were 200 something. I have a budget where I could pay up every month because I'm trying to finish it a little bit faster. I'm thinking of increasing it later on, like $25 more, but I have to wait and see how it works. I'm not working and it's only my husband who is, I'm going to school, and I have kids.

Freedom Debt Relief knows their stuff and I feel very comfortable working with them. I’m on a social security disability and now, I get $320 taken out of my checking account at the end of every month when I get my disability direct deposit. It crams my style a little bit ‘cause I don’t make that much money but other than that, everything is good. The service has been excellent and I’ve been very happy with what I received so far. They've got two debts settled. On one of them, the attorneys went and talked to the creditor and they settled for half of what I owed. They've got one more to go.

I went and I looked at the reviews of Freedom Debt Relief and the reviews were great, so I signed up. Whenever I've had an issue with any of my consolidations or the banks it takes me a five-minute phone call and they're right on it. They've even offered me a special loan that would help me get it done faster. But I really don’t have the time to take a time to apply for it. It's been working for me so I have just done what I've been doing and I'm pleased with it.
Every time they've had to go to a litigation for me, they ask me for like a $225 check, and I always ended up getting it back because they end up fixing that without having to go to court. Because of Freedom Debt Relief it's so much easier to breathe. They've been really good. I have no complaints and it’s made me be able to get out and do more things because I’m not trapped with, “Oh, I can’t do this or I don't have enough money for that,” or that kind of stuff.

Freedom Debt Relief is doing a great job. I like the way they communicate. If it’s something that I need, I can call them. Even if they can’t answer me, they still call me back. They don’t just leave me talking to a robot. Whenever I call them and I have a problem, they take care of it. If something is going wrong, they explain to me what was what and why. And when I call them, they call me right back. I have 11 more months before I graduate and everything Freedom Debt Relief told me was honest. I hate when people tell you things and they’re not honest. And Freedom Debt Relief has been honest. Because if they hadn’t, I will pull away. They always have somebody that can do this and that, but they’ve been honest with everything so far. If I can’t get on much and I ask them to send me a statement, they’ll send me a statement. They’re on point with everything. As long as I’m doing my part, they’re doing their part.

I saw Freedom Debt Relief's ad on TV and I called them up and the information they gave me seemed like it was the right thing to do. They settled out everything with the attorneys. There was a time when we were too high on all our bills and we were trying to make them lower. We went with FDR and they really consolidated our credit cards and furniture loans. I liked their quality of service and the payment plan our payment plan worked fine. Going with FDR did everything we needed. It lowered our bills and we have money left over at the end of the month now.

I’ve talked to several Freedom Debt Relief representatives and they were very nice and active. They explained things to me very clearly. It wasn’t fast or vague. They were precise and detailed. Also, they always asked if I had any questions and they didn’t make me feel like I was a loser with the state I was in. From talking to them, I made my decision to go with FDR.
They told me exactly what the plan was gonna be and how long it would take to settle whichever debt, and I’ve already got a couple that are. As soon as I would get a notice from a debt that I owed, I would call them, we’d fax things over, and the next thing I knew, they had negotiated it. So far, it’s been a good experience. It’s helped me out a lot because even though the payments are high, they are a lot lower than they were before. And I’m not constantly getting calls from debtors. They made that part much easier.

My husband has eye surgery twice in 2 months to try and save his eyesight so he can possibly go back to work. The doctor is not giving him very much hope since he is a truck driver and needs at least 20/40 in order to drive truck,. That is all that he has done all is life since he was 16 and now is 82 and still works 40-50 hrs a week. The representative I spoke to was so understanding as to why we had to drop our payment amount, since we do not qualify for any of the government aide because we make too much money and all we have is $2600. Wanted to know whether my association with Nordstrom will hurt my fledging relationship with TD Bank. But the agent said, no since FDR has taken over and making a deal with Nordstrom. I also thought since Nordstrom Visa is the same as TD Bank it might close my account.

Updated on 06/10/2021: This was a wonderful experience. I am now out of debt. They were very helpful and I would recommend Freedom Debt to anyone. You get access to lawyers and an online dashboard, and you can call them for help.
Original review: I was on Credit Karma and they had mentioned Freedom Debt Relief in an ad so I called them. I signed up and I’ve had several people and several lawyers but they’re all for the same place. The nicest thing about it is that you don’t have to worry. You do what you have to do, you get a lawyer for the fee that you pay them, and they take care of everything. Their service is very good and they keep you knowledgeable. You have a dashboard which you log in to and you can see where everything is going if it's done, being negotiated or waiting so you know kind of where you’re at. Once a settlement has been agreed on or things change, they either call me or send me an email. If it’s something where they need something from me, then they usually call.
Freedom Debt Relief has been excellent. They've always been willing to talk and answer questions. I’m very happy with them and I have referred them to other people. I have two or three accounts that are paid and I should be done in 2022. They were able to work with me on my payment plan very well. I had to bump it up $150 because the lawyer was trying to deal with one of the creditors. She said that she needed more money and I was able to give her because I just paid off my car loan.

My interest rates kept going up, and I wasn't getting nowhere with the payments. So it's been higher and higher and I couldn't get out of the debt. I got into the program of Freedom Debt Relief to get the bill go down lower. I was comfortable with their consultant. It's automatic. The money was coming out, and everything was going down. And when I finished paying for one, two, three bills, I was very happy and pleased. I thought my life came back. So, they're very good for me even though it was hard. I did the best that I can and just did without a lot of things that I usually do.
Payments are on dates that I could do it. They’d go with whatever is good for me. It was my decision. My credit is a whole lot better. I've been trying to get people to join Freedom Debt too. I’m trying to get my sister to do it. And I have a girlfriend of mine at my job, who's doing it also. I would recommend anybody to do that especially if they could do it slowly and surely.

I’m totally happy that I went with FDR. They got me exactly what I wanted. I only have three accounts left and I believe two of them are almost paid off. Plus, I’m very satisfied with their reps. They were very professional. They answered all the questions that I had and walked me through how much I was gonna pay a month and what bills they were gonna work on at what time. I’ve got a few emails on a few of my settlements about what they were gonna settle with the credit card company. They say that I can add more on to my account and pay more than what I pay. If I owed 10 $25-payments and they’re only making 1 payment a month, it is gonna take 10 months. I was wondering, if I paid 8 of those $25 payments out of my own pocket, would that knock me down from the 10 payments to the 2 payments. I’m not sure if I can jump in there and pay eight of those payments right away just to add extra money into my account.

Freedom Debt Relief is consistent and they've been doing what they've said they're gonna do. I'm very happy with it. We just give them a certain amount in a month and they take out of it to pay the ones that are settled. They sent me text message to let me know if the people were in agreement with our plans and the plans they got. Also, the settlements have been coming in and we are getting letters from our people that we've owed. They're thanking us for the payments and all that stuff. FDR maybe getting a couple of small ones paid off first and then they'll probably come to the term with settlement with the bigger one. But it's helping me instead of filing bankruptcy or forgetting them out. I wanna be fair to the people fair to me and try to pay my bills. FDR has been on time, and everything's been great.

I had applied for a loan to pay off my credit cards. When the loan was rejected they referred me to several different companies and one was Freedom Debt Relief. I have had Freedom since March of 2017 and my friend recommended them to me. I'm older and debts kept piling up. It would have taken me about 30 years to pay them off. I called because A creditor calling and saying that they had my account that Citibank had given it to them. And she also said that they would not work with Freedom Debt. I had lack of funds because of my husband getting very, very ill. I couldn’t get out from underneath because I didn’t have time to do anything else. I happened to run across Freedom Debt Relief when they called me. I seen them on TV as well, so I gave them a call. I've been in their program for about six months and I'm on to my last payoff. I had a gentleman that I've been in touch with. He gave me numbers to stay in touch and told me to call him any time. But whenever I tried, after a while, it was incomplete to call, so I ended up having to call straight to the office. After we had emailed, I just called the office straight. But overall, I'm very satisfied with my experience.

I am impressed that they are taking action only after 2 months. I have one settlement already accomplished. So far I am happy and would recommend this service to other people. Updated on 09/23/2020: Freedom Debt Relief lives up to its name to help individuals who are struggling to pay off debt to become free and relieved of debt. Each customer has a client dashboard to log into to check the progress of an affordable monthly amount of funds accumulating into their dedicated account while viewing metrics relating to where each debt is in the negotiation process. I received 2 settlements within a year of each other on big credit card debt I was forced to accrue to survive 2 job losses without severance pay. Both debts were reduced to more than half of the original debt owed. FDR negotiators are very skilled in their craft. Customer service is very friendly, professional, and helpful. I really like that I could chat live with FDR reps online when the customer service hotline had large call volume from COVID-19.
Original Review: Freedom Debt Relief (FDR) has been a godsend and life saver, significantly helping me get snowballing debt under control as I slowly recover from 2 major job losses very close in time to each other. This is an opportunity to start over much sooner than later and not to have to life with paying off debts for a lifetime. I just received my first settlement on one of my debts, which will be pay off as agreed at slightly over one-third of what I originally owed. There is something to be said about FDR being the Number 1 Debt Relief company in the country. I recommend everyone in a struggle to recover from financial losses and move forward as quickly as possible to use the services of FDR. FDR sets its clients up on an affordable monthly payment plan to accrue funds into the dedicated account that will build up funds used to settle debts. Ingenious! :-)

When I first started I could not help but think, did I do the right thing? After the first year went by and I saw my credit score begin to rebound, I realized I did make the right move. Now with a little over a year left to go before I’m completely out of the debt hole I was in, I could not be happier. Car loan, no problem (great rate), credit cards (New offers come in the mail daily), no problem and I’m getting better rates now than before the program. Now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it’s no longer a train coming the other way.

I had an extended period of unemployment due to some health issues and got behind. I found Freedom Debt Relief to be more open and receptive to communication compared to other companies, and they were honest. I live mainly on Social Security and we had so much card trouble. I’ve been struggling for months and it got too far where it’s either that or no medication. We had to do something on our maxed out credit cards and Freedom Debt Relief has helped me, but I'm not really happy with them. I wish that they would call all of my creditors and let them know that I have turned things over to them and that we are going to work with them. I keep telling the creditors, but they don’t want to hear that from me. They want to hear it from them. I’ve sent Freedom Debt Relief the letters that I get, and they say that they’ve got it on process, but they haven’t done anything yet. My rep has been really nice though, and I really like her. She went through what I owed and did what she could for my payment plan, which was better than my situation before.

I read some reviews of some companies and Freedom Debt Relief seemed like it was a better fit for me. The company has really exceeded my expectations. It's a little slow at first but they explained to me the time that it takes. Everything is going good. The people that I have interacted with have been awesome. I got into debt because of my mortgage. I was starting to get into credit cards to pay my mortgage because I was having trouble with that. Before you know it, I got into a really difficult time. I tried to do some kind of finance with Chase and it took a long time. They told me that if I pay them three temporary payments and consistently, they could put me in the program. I paid all three of them earlier than on time but they say they didn’t get one of the payments. I was then taken out of the program. It was a mess and a terrible experience. By the time I got it settled, it was a year. I didn’t pay my mortgage for a full year. I just started picking up from there. I could prove that I paid them and they cashed my check. Finally, I got onto the program again with Chase and I'm working to get on my feet now. I just need about another year and a half or so.
I friend of mine gave a good word about Freedom Debt Relief. When I first got into it, I was thinking about going bankrupt. Their reps discussed it with me and they said it would be better for me if they could work on a term that I could pay them back and they would pay the creditors the best they could. It might be a half a percentile of what I owe. I took that into consideration and made the decision to do the program with them. I've had a good experience with them.
All I do now is pay twice a month and they start negotiating. They have been negotiating with the different credit card companies and it’s been great for me. My payment plan has been good. I can add money at any time I want and it would help reduce the longevity of the program. Right now, I’m doing the best I can with the two payments I have. Freedom of Debt Relief has taken a large burden off of me. It put a little less burden on me with all the debt. They're great.

Original Review: I had been working with my financial advisor and he’d been telling me maybe I was just dumping quick money off the bed and maybe there was some way I could do. So, I started looking for companies and saw Freedom Debt Relief. I gave it a look and we started talking. Freedom Debt Relief is so far working out pretty good. When I recently got a court notice from American Express, I sent Freedom Debt Relief a copy of the letter and they said not to worry about it. The National Litigation Law Group is working with Freedom Debt Relief.
I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief. They have been very helpful with my situation. I don’t think they like not being able to make payments, but due to situations beyond my control, that’s something I have had to do. They have helped me retire one debt and I’m in the process of doing others. It’s getting a little difficult but we’re doing the best we can. I’m making the monthly deposits and doing what I need to do.

So far, the process has been very well executed. Since I went into agreement with Freedom Debt Relief, it's almost a month now or plus. In fact they withdrawned $200.00 from my account as per agreement on 30th of August but my creditors keep harassing me with emails and mails of reporting me to credit bureau.

I called to check on the status of my accounts and was told that they are still waiting for both credit card companies to settle. I was then advised that I could contact them directly to negotiate. I guess I don't understand why this process has not been resolved yet and why I was advised to contact my creditors.

After a relationship fail and debt left behind, I was struggling to figure out where to even start and drowning at the same time. I am somewhat happy that some of the debt is going right along, but I am very unhappy with the fact that the Thinkwise debt was not settled. It does not appear that any payment has not been handled with this account. I mentioned to the representative on the phone before getting into the program; I did not want to include the Thinkwise on the program because I had a good rapport with the credit union.
I have contacted your office on several occasions and inquire about the Thinkwise account. I was informed the Thinkwise Credit Union Account was pending, and your company was waiting on Thinkwise to respond to you. I recently found out that was not the case; Thinkwise was not managed by your company and the reason why is because your company handles the little amount first. I was also informed to add more money to my deposit to manage the Thinkwise account because there were not enough funds to handle it. Of course I am dissatisfied with this outcome and the way it was handled. I was also asked if I want to continue to make the payments with Thinkwise I can do so. Thinkwise account is more than 90 days past due, and I cannot afford to pay $1000 to get back on track with Thinkwise. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. If that was the case, why am I getting help from your company? I am not happy with this at all.

We looked at some of the things on the internet and looked Freedom Debt Relief up, and they had a lot better ratings than the rest of them. We always get a notification through our email or through a phone call that a settlement is being worked on. The payment plan worked very well for us. Working with Freedom has given us a little bit of breathing room. Our credit score has taken a dive, but we have managed without any credit and have learned how to deal with that. It’s not that difficult. Right now, I have an account that’s been turned over to a creditor that I have to talk to Freedom about, and get them to take care of it because I thought that was in the settlement thing that they have recently hit our credit report with it. I thought that they were working on a settlement with it. Freedom is always very responsive whenever we call.

I used to have credit cards with very high balances and those times, I would help my brother as well as my son who was going through college. I was putting money on a credit card at 0% interest too. I had an 800 credit score before but then I lost my job for three or four months. That was what started my problem. I had an issue with US Bank who kept calling and calling me. A couple of friends and my sister had gone through Freedom Debt Relief and they talked highly of them. I went with Freedom as well and US Bank quit calling. When I spoke to Freedom's rep, felt like a huge burden had been lifted and that he knew what he was talking about. He was very thorough and very friendly. He made me feel a sigh of relief that they could help me.
However, I didn't know about the fees. While he probably went over them with me, I had so much on my mind when I had anxiety from my bills. When I told them that they needed to stop calling me, I signed up with Freedom Still, I haven't had any issues at all and haven't had to talk to anybody in months. The process has been seamless.

We think the fees are way too high. It cost us in fees. Then what we saved on are bill every time. The paid one bill of it cost us 400.00 to 500.00 dollar. We would not ever do this again. And you never talk to anyone after they get you in.

I was in a really rough spot when I finally decided to do something about my credit card debt. Everyone was very nice and helpful setting me and making sure I understood what I was doing. This has been tough situation. The reps were quick to respond when I've called and they’ve helped with different things that have happened over the time that I've been with Freedom Debt. I have terminal cancer right now, and I'm gonna add an extra $1,000 with the 20th’s contribution. Hopefully, Freedom Debt can close out the last one that has not been settled yet. I need to settle everything before the year ends because I don’t know how much longer I have to live, and I don’t wanna leave the debt to my children.
I've been working diligently and trying to get all of the accounts settled. And then, I would call Freedom Debt once everything is in settlement and find out what the settlement payment amount is. I was eligible for a life insurance benefit because I'm terminally ill, and I'm going to use that to pay off my debt. Freedom Debt is aware of the situation and I've been very comfortable with them as a company. They’ve settled things quickly. The first year was a bit of a nightmare because I wasn’t used to not paying my bills. I was instructed not to pay anything and that was very difficult for me. I was harassed particularly by Citibank but eventually, it all stopped. Things have been running along smoothly since that all stopped.

I heard about Freedom Debt Relief on TV and being in debt and needing some help, I called them up and they solved my debt for me. They contacted the cards and negotiated a lesser debt. I've spoken to the rep every time a debt has to be settled. They also emailed me and I emailed them back to let them know if I'd agree with the settlement, without saying yes on all of them. And they followed up with me. Plus, they were always knowledgeable and seemed like they knew what they were talking about. The customer support that I have received from them had been good, too. Their monthly fee was a little high though then I got something in the mail saying whenever a certain amount of my debt is relieved, I have to file it on my taxes and I didn't know about that until it happened. But other than that, FDR has been wonderful.

We were in debt with credit cards and we heard that Freedom Debt Relief was the best consolidation company. The first year we were with them, they were able to consolidate our credit. We then went for the loan. They are paying all of our debts for us. Their rep was very professional, courteous, and fast. Working with them had really taken a lot of pressure off of us and gave us a manageable payment plan. With our payment plan, they worked with our individual needs. We are very happy with their service.
We referred FDR to a very close friend of ours and we received a $250 check in the mail for doing it which was awesome. So far, our friend told us that FDR is doing a wonderful job. She thanks us all the time for the referral. That makes it even better. Now we would qualify to have everything paid in full. We have gotten five or six calls from FDR letting us know that our debt was paid in full.
We were saving thousands of dollars on just the settlement money that they were doing and that money was actually paying FDR for what they’re doing for us. We had a debt of $1,500 that they were trying to negotiate with and they turned around and told FDR that it had been signed off 100%. We didn’t have to pay one penny on that one. FDR is saving us money, all the stress, all the stuff that comes with it, and all the anguish.

I liked the guy I talked to at Freedom Debt Relief. I was nervous. But he was a really nice guy. I called back several times after, and I called for him, and he would always return my call. He made me feel like I wasn’t a piece of crap. I was current with all my credit cards, but I was losing my second job and I knew I wasn’t gonna be able to swing all that crap. I had to figure something out, and he told me, “If you’re gonna have to not pay them, you’re gonna have to be late. You’re gonna have to start saving money to pay debts, and we’ll settle it.”
I’ve been with Freedom since 2017 and they said that if I don't miss a payment and do what I'm supposed to do my graduation date is quicker. The rep said my credit would go down, but later on, after I got everything straightened out, it would go back up. I’d recommend Freedom. But I don't know how true they stand by their words. Their interest rate is just so much cheaper, and I feel like if I had done that, I’ll already be debt-free.

I had gotten overwhelmed with my credit card debt and personal loans. I thought that borrowing more money was the answer; I was wrong. After finding out that I couldn’t qualify for a debt consolidation loan; I was referred to Freedom Debt Relief. They explained the whole process and estimated time that I would be debt free. I’m not going to lie; seeing my credit scores drop was upsetting. But knowing that I was on my way to debt freedom was and still is worth it. It's going good with Freedom Debt Relief. They're doing their job. My granddaughter did the same thing I’m doing and they signed me in with Freedom Debt Relief. I’m really happy with them but the other company got confused. They came and gave me papers for a court, and those papers were from July. Freedom called me and said that the other law office shouldn’t have gotten those. Freedom already paid three accounts and they already negotiated with Synchrony Bank. They told me they already sent a payment on August the 30th, and the other offices are not supposed to be bugging me.
This morning, I sent another paper to the other law office because they told me yesterday that they didn't have it. They did have it because I sent it to them last week. I went and spent three times faxing them and I e-mailed too. I told the lady yesterday, “Why am I gonna pay this money if I’m already paying 346?" But the other people didn't know. I’m not happy with the other office because they don't talk.

Freedom Debt Relief was the best rated one out there. They explained everything to us each time they'd call with something that I would have to okay. We would agree on it before we went for it so each time, it was cleared by us. It was something that works for us and not for them. They don't call you just to bug you. We will be a lot freer from debt after using them. They still have one or two debts in there, and they only have one big one left and that's it. They did an excellent job and we're very happy with them.

Freedom Debt Relief was the first one I talked to and I liked what I heard. The first account executive that I talked to walked me through and set up the whole thing. Since then, I called customer service if I have questions, and I've always gotten through very promptly and always gets my questions answered. They're working based on how much I was putting in. So, it's moving along, and I'm happy. I'm getting texts from them and I can respond on the text. Some things come on email but I always got my phone with me, so I just have to hit something there to indicate that I accept the offer. I have enough to live on now. I spend less than I bring in every month. In fact, I can save a little bit every month.

Years of in recession, being out of work, and having to put COBRA on credit cards, I needed to be responsible and go pay my debts off. When I initially set up, I didn't have a law firm or the legal coverage. But very quickly I said, “That’s something I should have, in case someone doesn't wanna negotiate with Freedom Debt Relief". So, on my part, I’m glad that I took the advice of the advisor I was talking to. The process was very easy for me. However, they never got my second card, so I was being brought forward. I then told that card company that I was in Freedom Debt Relief. So, they worked something out with me. I send some law firm in Valhalla, New York $100 a month.
I’m almost done with my FDR program, and they just did my last settlement. I had called last week because it was like $87 a month for two years, but I contribute $336 every two weeks. With woman I got on the phone, I said, “Why am I gonna be paying this for the next two years? Once you take your fee, why can’t you just pay them?” In all of the years, this was the first time I spoke to someone that works there that couldn’t answer all my questions. So, I just pay lesser fees, get done this month because I paid three times this month. Hopefully I’ll get someone who has a little bit more knowledge, and say, “Oh yeah, of course. We can do that." I'm looking forward to having that $680. Overall, the quality of service I received was very good.

So far, Freedom Debt Relief has been great, but it looks like some of the debts are still on my credit report. I see some as a settlement, but a couple are saying collections that are supposed to have been resolved. Still, Freedom Debt Relief has seemed to be very reputable and they're easy to work with. I also liked the way the consultant told me how things work. Even though I was putting the money in, I liked that they got someone to come in and pay. I just have to repay them the money.

Some of my experiences have been very good, and one in particular is awful, and not over yet. I had two debts to BofA, and for some reason, NLLG closed the case on my second account, without my knowing from NLLG or FDR what had happened. I tried 7 times to contact FDR and got no resolution. I have reported this to the Consumer Credit Protection Agency, and am awaiting reply.

Updated on 03/18/2020: I have seen improvements on the payments that they have made arrangements on. One is been paid off, and I got two months on another one. And then they are doing another one. It is about to start the process between May and June. I have been feeling good and positive about everything being handled. I get on the dashboard daily, and I like it that I get to see what is going on with the website.

Freedom Debt Relief seems to know what they are talking about and so far, they've been great. I still have a ways to go but they've kept me well-informed and have several of my debts in negotiations, and I'm paying them off. Whenever I need to contact somebody, they're always there to answer my questions. I've never had any problems with communication. Things seem to be doing all right except for one some time ago. I had gotten information about my Discover, saying that they were taking me to court. I haven't heard anything on that. So, I'm just taking that they're doing their due diligence and when it gets settled and everybody's satisfied, they'll notify me and let me know if I agree with it as they always do.

We live in the RV capital of the world and my husband and I were both in RVs. The RVs tanked since 2008 and stopped. We went from bringing home three grand a week to bringing home 300 bucks a week. I was also pregnant and I couldn't work, and my husband got let go. We lost everything. We had built back up, and it takes a long time to get built back up and get back on track. Then I got sick. They thought I had thyroid cancer and I ended up missing three months worth of work because I got septic. Before that, I didn't have issues. I actually had a pretty good credit score.
Freedom Debt Relief was there and they are helping to get it back on track to get the creditors to stop calling because that in itself is just stressful. We're not having to deal with those calls anymore and that makes it nice. We also had somebody that was gonna take us to court and Freedom Debt Relief did prevent us going to court. That was very good because we didn't have to take a vacation day or miss work to go to court. They took care of it on our behalf.
Freedom Debt Relief has been great. They prevented me from filing bankruptcy. I've already recommended them and they're helping my sister. The only thing that I'm dissatisfied about is the whole income thing. They did not explain to me that I have to pay taxes on any money that they saved me. They're supposed to help me do it and I'm gonna get a 1099 from each one of my creditors. Then I have to claim that as income. Now, I'm a little scared. Do I need to up my taxes being taken out of my check every week to maybe cover this or what? What if I have to pay them 10 grand? Nobody's giving me any real answers.
They are a little slow too. I had enough in there before they even made my first settlement. I could have paid out two of my credit cards which weren't huge ones. I understand that they're letting all my debt fall behind and that way, it forces the creditors to make a deal. But there were times that there was more than enough in my account to pay off a couple of the small ones and not make them get so bad, and Freedom Debt Relief just completely ignored them. That is a little bit disturbing because with the money I had in there, I could have paid that off, I wouldn't have had that on my credit, and I wouldn't have to pay taxes on it.
The more that we're looking at it, Freedom Debt Relief is not really saving me that much money because what they're doing is basically writing off the interest. I submitted something that's $800 then by the time they did a settlement on it, it looks like they saved me $1,500 but they didn't because I was making that payment and that payment was good. I was on time and they're the ones that let it get it that far behind before they try to do a settlement with them. They also didn't really work with me on a payment plan. They told me how much I had to pay, and I had to pay it. My payment is automatically deducted every two weeks so we make two smaller payments instead of one. Whenever they reach a settlement, they email me a settlement form then I have to approve it.

I had over $10,000 worth of debt which I’m trying to get down. I saw Freedom Debt Relief up on the internet, looked over their website and saw what I liked. So far their service has been good. Every time I’ve called, they’ve always been nice and helped me out with whatever problems that I had. I’ve got five accounts closed out now and they’re working on the rest. I would recommend them.

Updated on 04/08/2020: Customer service rep was very efficient and very helpful. We accomplished what we needed to do. Unfortunately as I have noted in other surveys, I am very unhappy with the percentage of the settlement discounted. Between your monthly fees and your settlement fees it is nowhere near the quoted possible 50% savings as you speak and advertise. This was now the third time we’ve had a settlement where I have felt that The settlement amount was not anywhere near expected when I signed on.
Original Review: I called to get information on the status of my accounts and have questions answered in regard to possible settlement negotiations and notifications of accounts being written off by the original lenders. Your representative showed compassion and concern in regard to my questions.

I was completely lied to about how this program worked. I was told all my debt would be paid in full within 6 months. That has not been the case. Then I get a message that I am eligible for a new program to pay off all my debt within 2 months with a similar monthly payment. I would not consider $138 more per month similar. I am so disappointed in this program. I wish I had NEVER signed up for this. My credit is ruined and I don't know that I will even be able to afford food with the new monthly payment. So yea...thanks for taking my money and screwing me over.

FDR told me exactly how they were going to work on my debts and so far have carried through 100%. They said I could expect my first settlement in approximately four months, and it was. Updated on 08/27/2020: There were 14 cards (a total of 24,000 debt) and out of 14, there's seven more that needs to be negotiated. There's been a few that's been paid off already. Now, I get no calls from the creditors and the reps are awesome as well. All in all, it has been a good experience so far.
