Freedom provided me with excellent customer service and support throughout the process of settling my debts. I felt confident in entrusting them with my accounts. There was no guessing and everything was done in a transparent way. The only drawback is that the fees add up as well, so the actual reduction in debt does not provide as much in savings as I would have liked.

Talked to two customer service Wednesday and Thursday, Gentleman on Wednesday very helpful. Gave me amount to settle my debt. Subtracted total debt from deposit account funds which left amount I would have to pay. He also told me how they would pay accounts and the outstanding debt would have to be negotiated. Person on Thursday not helpful, really agitated me. All I want to do is pay balance of accounts. I have requested a letter for payoff. Haven’t received it. Freedom Debt Relief has been very good over the years and paid my Debts, I wanted to pay my Debts before I Die and thanks to your Company it almost has been done. It is now time for me to pay off the remaining balance if I could just get someone to help me.

Freedom Debt Relief: Reading the 1 star reviews, I concur with it all. They have a rating of zero. I have not benefited at all from this service. My credit report reflects I’m in negative standing with with the accounts they were supposed to be working on. On my report it indicates charged off so if it’s charged off, what are they doing with the money. I have not received any verification from the debtors that it is resolved nor can they produce any proof of contact with either of these companies the written communication of the negotiations. Not only am I on a fixed income and this money coming out of my account but I am caring for my husband with cancer..
I asked them to provide tangible proof of their correspondence/communication to My debtors. They sent a very confusing ledger full of all kinds of fees that I did not know I was being charged for. Ever since March 2018 I have been paying, initially $244 but now it went up to $254. I have paid over $7000 or 8000 and there is nothing to show for it. Cheating consumers. They have not been truthful and have caused me stress because I have been expecting to see something different or resolved on my account. I was due graduate in 2022 which meant paying even more money for unsatisfactory business. I am really disappointed especially in this economy when it is hard trying to survive COVID.. I have lost money that I could've actually been paying on my debt.

Freedom Debt Relief keeps us informed every time they negotiate, or when they pay off a creditor. They also made the payment so we could afford it monthly, so we've been happy with them. We've been with them for three years.

Freedom Debt Relief is a great company. When I went searching for it on Google for a consolidation company, they were the first one that came up. Then, I read the reviews and I decided to try them. So far, they have done right. I pay off my bills, but I still have to a long way to go to finish paying my debt off. I worked with Erica, Desiree and Trevor, and everything was on the positive side. They explained everything to me what was expected of them and what their intent was. It was not like they were pushing me to put more deposit. It was always a suggestion, but they were okay with it. So, I, on my own, would voluntarily send them extra payments, but I let them know. They were thankful for that and it’s speeding up the process of getting these payments out of the way.
They're on top of everything and when it came to a settlement with one of the creditors, I was contacted via Gmail and via text message. I responded back right away, didn't waste any time, and they were very thankful that I got it done right away. They also introduced me to the loan part of the sister company and that would be much better because I'll have paid off everybody, which is a great relief. I've got these letters which I'm sending to them and they're filing it. In the end, it wasn't about them. It was about me. But I spoke highly of them on Google and on Facebook, so they were very thankful.

Watching the debt get enrolled is liberating. I love the backend of the platform. It's so easy to navigate and I love being informed when a new settlement is being offered. The only thing I see that can be worked on is the dashboard because lots of time and most of the time I could not get in to the dashboard. I would change my password and it still would not work. That is the only thing I have a problem with. The people are very nice and kind. Thank for helping me.

I was so scared I get sued by one of my debtors but FDR is constantly working with them to prevent that from happening. It’s definitely eased my nerves. They also keep me updated on what’s happening. I have a problem with credit cards and this isn’t my first time using a debt relief company. The last company did nothing until I had enough money in my account and I ultimately got sued. FDR had been awesome at keeping me informed, contacting me about issues, and I have been able to stop stressing.

I had about $73,000 in credit card debt. I read reviews and they said that Freedom Debt Relief was very good. The only thing that they dropped the ball on was Bank of America. I called them and told them that I was being garnished. I had also told them that I never received a summons. But that's water under the bridge now. That’s all paid, so I'm good. They've been very good to me.

Our experience with Freedom Debt Relief was great. They were rated pretty good at the time that I signed up with them. They were all very polite and understanding. They have helped me out a great deal. In these tough times, I had reduced the payments because I was out of work for a number of months. So, they flexed everything out and it worked out. Freedom Debt Relief helped reduce some of my debt as well as paid it off in a timely manner. They did a really good job. The level of professionalism enhanced my confidence and being able to go with a company that I thought was gonna be reputable, whereas I wasn't 100% sure about the reputable company, especially when it comes to giving them my money.
Their level of professionalism was great. Helped me understand and set expectations that were reasonable. I knew what was coming my way and how things were gonna play out. They let me know what the payment was going to be in order to pay it off in a timely manner. We came to a decision that it was within a reasonable timeframe and a reasonable payment. It worked out just fine for me. As far as ease of service, it's been good. A smartphone app with a client dashboard would have been appreciated, something a little bit more front-facing and consumer-friendly than just the online portal that they have available. But other than that, it was relatively good. I really appreciate that I've gotten out of debt.

FDR has been just amazing in helping me resolve my debts and move forward debt free and no longer worried daily as to how l will ever get out from under these debts. FDR does make it very efficient and easy to work with them. However, creditors all "PANIC" if you miss a payment and "HARASS" you regardless how many times you send them letters, talk to their CSR etc. The electronic computer collection calling to a voice mail should be illegal. Some contact you wanting to give you a special deal if you violate the agreement with FDR. As a client I am very happy with all the support I get from FDR and I am sticking to my guns to make payments to them as arranged!

I was a little over my head from financial hardship and checked on some excessive debt that was continuing to grow. Freedom Debt Relief had the most positive reviews and their website was very user-friendly. Their reps are really working to resolve and do what's right now that we're in a pandemic. They've been also been very helpful with doing what makes sense to stay on track, but also remain stable in my life, too. They're really easy to work with and very understanding especially with everything going on in the world right now. We really discussed what my payments were and they were flexible. If things need to change, they're open to it but at the same time, they are encouraging me to stay on track to finish off what I need to finish up. It has all been very clear and straightforward. They're very communicative, which is great. They really helped me through a hard time in my life. It has been, for the most part, a pleasurable experience.

I do not recommend Freedom Debt Relief. Freedom Debt Relief offered to negotiate my debt with each creditor for a low interest. In the process, I would have to stop paying my creditors which fell into no payment status that damaged my credit. It made me believe this was a better option fit for me. Later to find, that I could've just stopped paying all my creditors and targeted one creditor at a time to pay because once a debt falls into a no payment status they will offer you a settlement. Therefore, I could've handled myself without payment freedom debt relief an interest for something I could have done myself.

Yes, you can negotiate with creditors yourself to settle your debts for less, but why not let our professional negotiators do it for you? As a potential customer of Freedom Debt Relief, you should know you can contact your credit card company direct and offer a settlement. This is normally 60% of the current balance and you can offer payment amounts which of course you must adhere to. Perhaps they won't want to discuss a settlement option until you stop making payments for a period of time but the debt will be resolved quicker and much cheaper than hiring FDR to do the same thing. There are many fees of all types you will be charged that are not disclosed in advance. I hired FDR to settle four credit card accounts, they resolved one within a few months. After two years and a learning experience, I settled the other three on my own. John in TX

When I first went with Freedom Debt Relief, I was with my ex-wife and she had run up all of her credit cards. I had taken out a loan to pay her credit cards off. Then, she did it again. So to keep her from being sued, I had applied for something. The next thing I knew, Freedom Debt Relief had called. Then when she and I divorced, I had to start all over with just my debt.
Signing up was fairly easy. I had to have a down payment, of course, but Freedom figured up all my debt and how much it was gonna be a month. Somehow, they missed some of my debt and I had been continuing to add stuff to it. Then I had to go through that as far as getting it all set up to make the monthly payments. But they're very easy to get ahold and talk to someone and they're pretty good at getting stuff straight fairly quickly. I signed up with Freedom so that my debts would be taken care of and I wouldn't be sued over them. But right now, their lawyers are in litigation for one of my debts. That debt has been in the program all this time and they've never made a settlement on it. I wish they've handled that a little bit differently.

I was let go of my work and I had a lot of credit. I was never late but I was barely making it. I tried calling to get a loan to consolidate everything and it wasn't working. I was stressed out and on the radio, I heard an announcement about Freedom. Then I had seen it on Facebook so I thought of giving them a try. I called this lady named Jillian and left her a message on Freedom to call me back. She was very helpful, pleasant and sweet. She was amazing. She looked over my stuff and said I was qualified. She got me signed up. She told me that now that I am signed up through Freedom, Century would be handling everything else like the calls or any letters that I was getting from the debt collectors. They're the ones who are paying off my stuff.
My aunt, even though she's 80, was working all the way up until 2016. They let her go ‘cause of her age and hearing. She had lots of outstanding credit but wasn't late or faulty on any of it. I told her what I'm doing. I gave her the paperwork that Freedom Dent Relief sent me so she went ahead and called Jillian, and Jillian signed her up. They're amazing. They always have time. I'm so happy with them. I'm almost done paying off all my credit. It was a blessing that I was able to sign up with Freedom. They were able to take care of me and my aunt.

I couldn't afford to pay my bills and I didn't want them to get behind. When I called Freedom Debt Relief, I told the reps my concern and they explained how their system works to me. No matter what I did, they could only do so many bills at a time. I said I could do that but then I didn't want all the calls. Also, they would have to get my approval to make a settlement. When they told me that, I said "okay" and went with them for my credit card debts. I wouldn't think twice about recommending FDR. I really like them because they always answer my questions on the spot. They take their time to work with me. They never tell me to call back or send an email.

I liked the way Freedom Debt Relief put everything together and how my debt was gonna be paid off. However, they could be a little more clear on the process of where you're at paying it off. I called a couple times and they gave me the total amount that was settled for instead of what I've paid on it and what I owe to date. There was also a time that I had a little dispute but it was just miscommunication on both of our parts. I called back and talked to someone and they explained the situation. Other than that, everything seemed to be good. They've also been very good when I call with a question. I'm very satisfied with them and I would highly recommend them.

I immediately received a follow-up email from the same FDR representative with the information I needed to proceed. American Express sent me a settlement from Zucker & Associates, and Freedom's customer service person said it can be paid starting in five months. Zucker said great; have Freedom call us to set it up. Freedom refused that one phone call and insisted I pay more than $4,000 to set up that account. I couldn't do that. I had to agree with Zucker separately, so now I have an extra $550 a month I have to pay, which is a strain. I am very disappointed in Freedom. The person I talked to this last time did a good job of deleting the American Express account, but couldn't do anything else.

Although it seems that it is taking along time, they have made settlement offers on two of three accounts that I turned over to be settled. They contact me monthly to let me know they are still working on my account. It is worrisome waiting when I am still being contacted by my creditors, but results are what counts.

My credit card debt was not in a bankruptcy situation but I felt it was starting to get a little bit out of control. I saw an ad on Facebook one day. I still was a little bit skeptical about Freedom Debt Relief but I researched further and spoke to somebody over there. I felt I could trust them so that's what led me to going over there. They didn’t accept me right away. They had to go through all the numbers and made sure I was a candidate for it. If my debt was too high, then they would have recommended another source of action like bankruptcy which I was hoping would not be the case.
Freedom Debt Relief offered something that I felt I can work with. They've explained everything. It seems like they've gone over all disclosures and answered any questions. They haven’t been trying to oversell me like a used car salesman would. What they were looking to sell me fit with what I was trying to accomplish, maybe paying a lower interest rate on debt and lowering the debt on some of my credit cards. If I owe 2,000, they could get it down to 1,000. That appealed to me the most.
I listed all my debt and threw some numbers around and what would be good to do. They seemed to think that the number that I told them that I would have in debit out of my account would work within a reasonable amount of time to get rid of the debt. It was a more or less an agreeable number that we came up with. They always gave me the flexibility to increase the amount or make ad hoc payments if I wanted to add a little bit more to it.
There’s been one that’s already been settled on one of my cards and there's another one that’s about to be. Freedom Debt Relief taken away a lot of stress on making those payments. Since they do it on automatic debit, it’s something that I know I won't forget. I'll know that’s being taken care of. Also, they don't just go settle a debt with a particular creditor without my consent. I get text alerts or email alerts and I’m pretty much happy with the way they’ve been keeping me updated on everything. That’s very important. Their website’s pretty easy to navigate too. You set up an account there and track your debt.

I enrolled with FDR 4 years ago after losing my job and going in cc debt. I was told they would handle everything stress free. Not the case, my 4 year projection is now over 6. I have been sued twice and had to pay court fees both times, as well as filling out POAs and lengthy paperwork. There was no mention of the possibility of being sued. They only negotiate $800 off of $21k then charged 25% of the balance. The client dashboard shows estimated graduation at 4 years then changes at your 4th year. This company is out to charge high fees with poor negotiations and will mislead you until the end.

Because of the charge offs reported by settlements and payoffs, we were unable to qualify for the reverse mortgage we were applying for. Longbridge Financial suggested we apply again after we complete paying off all creditors. FDR provided the information that I requested in a timely and professional manner.

FDR is a debt relief program, not a money management program. Do your homework before signing up. All enrolled debt will continue to get behind and interest will accrue. When you have enough in your "account" and are far enough behind, they will negotiate for a debt settlement with each credit card company. But your credit score will be trashed for quite awhile. A money management program works very differently, so check out the difference before signing up! FDR does what they say they will do, but communication is barely adequate. Keep checking your dashboard. I was too far into the program to be able to deal with a money management approach, so I decided to just stay with FDR. I'll be done in 3 more years (or earlier if possible).

Paying extra money for discharged amount is still like paying the whole amount owed. Which includes the amount taking out for charges for each payment that is applied to each company balance owed. Some companies are threatening with taking you to court.. Companies sell information account that are being paid by gift.

Settlement fees are too high, harder for customers to get out of debt sooner and end up paying not a lot less overall. Some Negotiations on “strategic hold” for too long. Doesn’t focus on higher cards first, leaving credit scores lower. Timing for fees being withheld makes negotiations longer.

They lie to get you signed up then do not settle your debt! I had a judgment Placed on me for an account they were supposedly settling. I had to call and make my own Settlement. I had a credit score of 760 when I started this program. Now my score is 540. This company is a waste of time!

When I searched for which was the best agency that would do the settlements and consolidation, FDR came up first. I went with them and the program is good. It's helping me clear up my debts and a lot of issues. We set the payment plan up at the beginning then they notify me every time there is a settlement that is going to happen and if I agree on it. Everything was done correctly and I should be done by February.

When I originally got into this program I did a lot of research and I thought that I understood what I was getting into. Fast forward over a year later and I am totally confused with what I got myself into. I feel like I have to keep looking over my accounts because I have gotten in such a big mess. I found out through a review of my accounts with Freedom Debt Relief along with a 3rd party company that does consolidation loans and works with Freedom that I had multiple discrepancies in my accounts listed at Freedom. Some have since been corrected.
I wish I’ve never took this option of debt relief. I got accounts on collections some are not even noted on my Freedom record as such, even though all my creditor were/are mailing information about my accounts to Freedom. Freedom Debt Relief went through some type of protocol or Software change that I was not aware of until the consolidation company 3rd party that works with Freedom contacted me. I feel trapped because with such a mess on my finances and over $20,000 that were added by creditors as late fees on my account. I feel I don’t have any other choice but stay. Maybe this company is a better fit to other clients. I would not recommend it to anybody. This is just my opinion.

I am overall satisfied but not happy about one of the debts I had enrolled being garnished from my paychecks. Program couldn’t do anything but remove the debt and still have to make payments into program while having checks garnished from other debt. Slowly but surely.

Customer service has been great with Freedom Debt Relief. At first, they said they could pay our debt anywhere between 24 to 48 months. Instead, it's actually gonna take 48 or 96 months which is double what they said initially. Still, anytime anything happens, their reps give us a call and let us know what's going on. They keep us up to date with the dashboard and how things are going. Working with Freedom Debt has helped me quite a bit. They have reduced my payments almost in half. They have done a great job for me.

Right now, I'm finished with the program and I’m sitting on cloud nine. I'm not burdened with those remaining bills anymore. Freedom Debt Relief is fantastic. Updated on 04/12/2021: Freedom Debt Relief has been a positive way to pay off my debt. Paying a certain amount every month is not easy but it has taught me discipline. And in doing so, my bills are getting agreed upon and paid off.

We were told it would take about 4 yrs to pay off our debt. The projected graduation date just keeps moving further and further out. We are now looking at 6 years. It doesn’t feel like we are accomplishing anything but ruining our credit forever.

Things were good this time but I feel that FDR should have been working to get us some relief with the creditors. For heavens we are in a pandemic. After all many of us were out of work for a period. Plus I feel that FDR should have waived their ridiculous fees during this time too. Fees that I feel are way too high and didn’t have a complete understanding of until it was too late.

I looked online and Freedom was one of the first options I found. I looked into the website and read up on it, then went from there. The representatives listened on everything I told them. My payment is usually the same consistent amount and if I ever have to reschedule on it, they're always pretty good with it. Freedom definitely helps me pay all those payments off very easily. Pretty much, it's very helpful for getting all my payment needs done, breaking everything down into payments and visualizing all the payments. The main thing that made me decide to go along with Freedom was the plans that they had laid out and the way they explained everything when I talked to them. They've done a pretty good job. Any time that there are changes in my account, they contact me promptly. And my ability to respond to them is very easy. I can do a response through whatever is most convenient for me. It could be through text, email, or phone call. I have access to view my account 24/7 and their customer service has been pretty spot-on for me. Freedom has been a pretty straightforward program and pretty simple too. I wish is to could pay them more so I could get my debt paid off faster. They said it would take approximately five years, give or take, with the current plan that I'm doing. We're pretty much on par for that.

I have been very disappointed in Freedom Debt Relief. I have felt mislead through the entire process. At this point we are ready to cancel our program and just settle our debt with our creditors directly. I would only advise using this program if you are absolutely in over your head and can't make payments. We had 100% payment history on our credit report, just wanted to get out of debt. This was not the right avenue for that.

Freedom explained the program to me where I pay a monthly payment and they would take care of all my debt calls. All my six debts were already taken care of. Now, they have all of them. I'm paying off all of them and some payment at once instead of punch here one month then work on another one. The payment is 500 a month and with this virus, it's really hard to make the payment right now. Freedom told me that they would have to start all over again if I can't make my payment this month. That could be done better. People should make sure to check into all credit companies before they pick the certain one right now.

They were the first company that I came across when I started looking at options. But I really didn't feel the need to look further because the reps that I interacted with were very nice, helpful and understanding. When they showed me right off the bat how much money I could be saving every month by going with debt consolidation, it was a no-brainer.

I have been having help from Freedom Debt Relief for almost three years. They just settled my last credit card for me, so very soon I will be done with the program. They definitely helped my settling all of my accounts for me, I do feel maybe settlement fees Have been taken out double sometimes. I haven't quite understood that part but overall they have helped.

I did the program for about two and a half years. I'm done with them and I just had my graduation. I didn't have to worry about everything getting paid. They did it. The only thing I didn't like about them was some of the fees seemed to be a little ridiculous.

I was offered a loan to pay off all the debts... However the loan would be for another 4 years at the same as what I am paying and it would be about $7000 interest.. Right now I should have everything paid off in 2 to 3 years.

A friend of mine used Freedom quite successfully to consolidate her debt. So I also used them to consolidate some outstanding credit card debt of about $20,000. They consolidated it and allowed me to pay it off now, after settling with the card companies. I was really comfortable working with them. I have to have processes outlined before I would initiate them. I wouldn't have gone forward if I didn't understand it.
They told me what I had to pay and then they let me pick the date that I paid it. It seemed that simple and I was pretty comfortable with the amount. It was less compared to the payments I was making to the credit card companies. But in order to complete a settlement, I had to increase my monthly payment. I called customer service and they had an answer in 60 seconds and I got everything straightened out. The customer service has always been really helpful. Being able to work out my credit card debt and walking through the process was really helpful when going through the consolidation process.

I don’t like the way you decide what debts you negotiate and when. You do so without input from your customer, who is the debtor. I think you should consult with your customer. I think you have too many employees who forget who the customer is.
