I had three creditors, and Freedom explained to me that they would reach out to the creditors and try to negotiate a lower price. I didn't get to talk to them a lot. But if they wanted something from me, I gave it to them. Otherwise, they set up the payment plan and they just took the money out twice a month. They've only settled with one, so two are sitting there. I get bills from them so nothing is going on with those. They just take out $135 on the 10th and on the 25th.
I received a letter from Freedom on the one creditor and that was it. I don't hear anything. They don't tell me if they are reaching out to the other ones or are there gonna be any results. I'm just stuck. My credit has gone bad and that worries me. I'm kinda confused which creditor it is that they've negotiated with. And then, it takes so long. They said it would take 48 months but with the way it's going, that's gonna be longer than 48 months. I'm not very satisfied right now because I don't really know what's going on.

I turned over 11 accounts to Freedom Debt Relief and they are already working on eight of them. I'm very pleased. Everything is still going great, and I've been very satisfied with them. A couple of times I had letters from all these cards that I did not understand. I called Freedom and they were immediately onto the case. Whatever I needed, they answered immediately. There were no qualms. They helped me through it all. I've had excellent service through them and I wouldn’t swap it for anything. The payment plan couldn’t be better. I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone that’s in the situation I was in. My husband has a lot of medicine and one of his prescriptions is $598 a month even with our insurance. We were sinking further in debt with it and I saw no end. Freedom Debt Relief was the answer to a prayer for us.

At Freedom, every time I reach out, I’m speaking to somebody different and that's the only thing that really troubles me. It’s like they’re brand new to what’s going on with my account and that has been difficult. Still, being in their program has been a really good experience for me. It really, really helped me out when I was in a really tough bind. I will definitely recommend it to anybody whom I know that ever needs any help like that.

Freedom Debt Relief's service is pretty good. They were the first company I came across. Most of the time, the representatives address my questions and concerns very well. I've only had like one bad experience. My payment plan is good. I get a statement thing in the mail off my dashboard every month. I was running in default, so I'm sure it'll get better sooner. My credit score will eventually go back up. But right now, I'm just trying to make the payments and get them settled.

Everything was done very professionally. He explained the process. We did a step by step through the signing up and what debts would be included. We also talked about start date and end dates. He calculated the amount I need to pay in order to complete the program and when the first payment will be due.

My experience has been good so far. Whenever I have a question I can get an answer. I am a first time customer and everything was explained to me about what to expect. I was even told that my credit would get worse then improve once accounts are being paid off.

Everything’s been okay with Freedom Debt Relief. We finally got the dashboard to work. We've been in the program for two years. A few of the credit cards had been paid completely, and then other ones are being paid. But there is this particular one where they’ve been getting money, but they couldn’t get in touch with Freedom Debt. They tried for like six times, but they said they couldn’t get in touch with them. I had to go to court for one of the accounts, but that’s gonna be resolved. They accepted everything. It’s just that they had not given this particular account to the National Legal Service and so they couldn’t do anything. They couldn’t represent us for anything.
It’s just that once I got the letter from them to go to court, I didn’t know if I had to show up or not show up, and they couldn’t tell me. Then, finally, they said, “Go to the clerk’s office and show them the letter and ask them.” But this took me three calls to find that information to where to go, but I did go and that’s when I was told, “Yes, you have to appear.”

If you’re over 70 forget lt. You’ll never get done. Better just walk away. Especially credit cards there's nothing they can do. Wait 90 days and offer them 1/3 or just forget it. You go this way. Your never get out from under. They settle for too much fees too high and your pay off just keeps going up. Keep your money and tell them you’re so sorry but you just can’t pay. Credit score forget it. Who cares at 70 anyway. I am sorry every month when I have to make that payment. Wouldn’t do it again. Al

I received a summons to court for one of my accounts. I called Freedom Debt Relief and was given all the instructions I needed to contact the NLLG to have them handle the summons. It was quick and easy. Also when I received a settlement letter in the mail for another account I called Freedom, explained what I received - it was a better offer than they had been given. The money was quickly transferred back to my bank account and I was able to save about $250 between the offer and settling the account myself. I have no complaints about the treatment I have received from the folks at Freedom Debt Relief.

If I knew then what I know now I never would have contracted with Freedom Debt Relief. I could have had my credit card accounts closed and made payments to them as easily as to FDR. My credit score dropped, interest rates increased, costing my wife and I more money. Contacts with FDR are referred to my Dashboard that doesn't completely answer my questions. The original agent I spoke with to sign up with FDR has not returned any of my emails. Maybe she doesn't work there anymore? Freedom Plus recently offered to settle my debts by paying off my FDR creditors with a loan but communication from them has died. The agent will not respond to my emails and I HATE phone calls because I have no record of what was said. That's the bad news. The good news is FDR has negotiated one credit card reduction and sent a 30-month payment plan that FDR will make to my creditor.

Updated on 04/29/2022: There were only a couple of problems with my creditors and both of those were with the same institution. Other than that this was a smooth sailing process that got me out of a lot of trouble. It enabled me to greatly enhance my life and my retirement by spending about 5 years putting my debt in an acceptable level for me to be able to maintain.

Update on 01/14/2020: When I started with Freedom Debt Relief I was in desperate straits. My credit card interest rates had gone through the roof! Realizing I needed help I was referred to FDR. Now less than a year later only one more account left to get a settlement and that one is in negotiation! Original Review: When I enrolled the planned was outlined very well. I notified my creditors of the new Contact information as suggested and did not answer calls from them. We only have been in Debt Relief for maybe 3 weeks; We have been living in hell since because we cannot close out our old bank account until all deposits that are automatically put in that account have been transferred to our new bank checking account. So we don't have much money, we are falling behind on our bills and it is truly nerve wracking! I had $19,000 in debt with my credit cards and I was getting by, but it was taking everything I had. I contacted Freedom Debt Relief and I was not happy with them at all. I could’ve scraped by, but I talked to different people there and they painted a pretty picture. I had to make monthly payments to them, which was about half of what my credit card bills were and I was doing that for 13 months, then I got a phone call from Consolidation Plus. They work with Freedom Debt Relief and they give loans to people to speed up the process. I agreed to take a loan with them. They put the money up for Freedom to negotiate my debts and then they went ahead and paid it off. Unfortunately, I lost my son in a motorcycle accident in July, so I received life insurance money and I was able to pay off Consolidation Plus. I didn’t have to make them a payment and the whole deal only cost me $20 over the loan amount.
The credit companies all settled for whatever and I’m all free and clear of everybody now, but the money I paid Freedom Debt Relief as well as the loan company was 18,000 and some dollars. Their fees were ridiculous. I understand Freedom has to make money and they were doing this for me, but when it was all said and done, they hardly saved me any money whatsoever with the life of this program. All this did for me was it bought me 13 months and my credit was ruined in the process. I could’ve negotiated with the credit card companies myself and done a better job. I wouldn’t have had to pay all these crazy fees. If anybody asks me, I will never recommend Freedom.

If I knew of a friend who was in the same financial situation as me, I would definitely recommend FDR to them. This program is for people who are ready to get out of debt, but do not want to file bankruptcy and do not feel they are as capable making those strategies that FDR will be able to do for them.

I have only started around a month ago, maybe 2, and already they help with my most aggressive creditor and came up with a settlement. I highly recommend FDR. I still have a long ways to go but I don't doubt for a second they won't get the rest of my creditors taken care of also. And they also don't hound you. I called concerning why my last creditor settlement is taking so long since I really want to retire from my job. She was very helpful and encouraging that this was on a 5-day credit hold and would be resolved soon and I would be notified to approve. I would lay awake in bed at night wondering how I was going to make these payments. You see I was diagnosed in January with stage 3 colon cancer and I didn't know what tomorrow would bring me. I have been pleased with everything except that I can't get any legal help with one that is attempting to take me to court. This was the one that made me realize I needed help, but because it happened "before" (I reached out that very day) I can't even get the NLLG to give me legal advice on what to do... So even with the great work Freedom Debt Relief has done for the rest of my debts, I am still living in fear because I can't get any help that doesn't cost as much as the debt itself...

Working with this group is difficult when a settlement has been reached and the payment needs to be increased. There should be better communication between FDR and NLLG for this so the client is not the go between.

I’m a disabled veteran and I go into my veterans’ site to check things out and they had an announcement about Freedom Debt Relief. I’ve had different consultants. The last one I had didn't knew what she was talking about. I think Freedom just throw them in there and tell them to say this and that. They should get more professional and really sit down and discuss what they are doing. As you’re paying, they need to call you and tell you, “Okay, we just finished with this, Bank of America. We just settled with them. This is how much money we’re going to give them and this is how much money we’re gonna take in as a fee,” as they go. Not at the very end.
I’ve been cheated by Freedom Debt Relief. I owe a tremendous amount of money to the loan company, which is consolidated loan, and they said I owe them $49,000. I asked them what happened to all the $1,440 I gave for about eight months. And they said those were the charges that they did for the services and for reducing the debt. I said that was an awful lot of money. So, I gotta look at all the numbers because it sure seems like I paid a lot of money and it went no place but into their pockets. My wife told me I could’ve paid my loans off and not have terrible credit. My credit is now atrocious, and I used to have it up around 800 and now, it’s down to about 500 and something.

We didn’t wanna file for bankruptcy. We wanted to take care of our bills, but we just got overloaded so we went to Freedom Debt Relief. All I had to do is gather my debts, and sign a few papers, and it was very easy. It took a big weight off almost immediately. We pay and they get things get taken care of. The people at Freedom Debt Relief have been very helpful. I’ve been involved in the program for four months, and I’m very pleased with it at this point. They’ve eradicated the problem. There are several more to go, and they’re doing exactly what they said they would. I worked with April and she was excellent. She was very professional and took care of her business and was engaged. We got it going, and she was always friendly. I dragged my feet just because I had some issues here, but I got through it, easy peasy. I would definitely recommend Freedom Debt Relief. I was in a dilemma wherein my mom got sick and I had to come out of my apartment, break my lease. If I took another job, I just didn't want any wages to be garnished and I could go to work one day thinking I got a check but then I wouldn't have one and I still have bills to pay. Freedom's reps reached out to me and explained their process and the options I had. Working with them has helped me cushion that situation a little bit.
Freedom is currently handling my accounts really well. Every now and then I get an update on the situation and what's been settled. If they need a debt to be settled they let me know and advise me whether they think it's a good decision. Additionally, the payment plan they gave me has been something that I can handle. I can add more to it when there was something that I could deal with out of my pocket and that has worked with me and my family.

I went with Freedom Debt Relief for a consolidation of my credit cards. The rep whom I worked with was excellent and she walked me through the process. We were on the phone for three hours and she wouldn't let me hang up until I understood what was going on, how it was gonna be done and what they would do. My main concern at the time was being taken advantage of and that what I was going through wasn't fraudulent. Even though I was paying my credit cards, I was only paying minimum payments. I couldn't afford for that to be taken and my cards going into debt when Freed wasn't doing anything. The rep reassured me. The payment plan I got afterward was great. I’m still at the beginning stages but I have already paid off two credit cards. I'm also in contract with paying off two more with monthly payments until whatever the settlement amount was is paid for.

I had quite a few consumer cards and I got caught behind. At the time, I was so eager to get the credit, but I had the credit and I overdid it. The next thing I know, I got myself caught up. I figured I can handle certain things and I was doing very well, but that was what happened. I checked out quite a few places, but Freedom Debt Relief seemed to be more reliable. And once I talked to them, everything seemed to fall right so I thought I’d go ahead and try it. The consultant who assisted me was nice and knowledgeable. Everyday conversation was more or less down to earth.
After Freedom got something dropped off of your status, they would send something that would show that they’re doing something. What I realized is that if you don’t fall behind and you do what you’re supposed to do, they'd give you a lower set up. They'd say, “Instead of us robbing you, we would like to put you with a company that can help you.” And that’s what they did. I’m just looking at the company, seeing it in my cell phone, waiting to see what’s gonna happen. I've been into Freedom's program for close to a year. And I went with Consolidation Plus, their sister company because they can pay off the debt faster. Hopefully, in six months, I'll start seeing my credit score rise up a bit or when they do a check on me, I won’t look that bad and be able to rent a car or buy a car. So far, everything has been going good and I like the service.

Updated on 10/25/2022: My experience with Freedom Debt Relief was a relief and freedom from the vicious cycle of trying on my own to pay off high interest credit cards. It was a relief for me personally from trying to pay different credit card companies each month compared to making one monthly payment. Also, I received the benefit of having my debt reduced in half by agents who are experience negotiators. What more can be said about this company that gives you complete freedom and relief from debt that I otherwise would still be paying on.

I wish I didn’t need to do this and if I had the time to resolve the debt myself I would. The percentage they charge for resolving the debt for you is robbery! They are not here to help you, they are here to make money. Know that!! When I started they wouldn’t give me a consolidation loan, then 4 months offered me a loan to Soren up the process, don’t do it! You then owe a percentage to the loan and they still charge a retarded amount to settle debt, you won’t win. And they are monthly fees for the account. Nothing is free. Just saying. I’m trying to find a better company.

I'm so relief I found this company, Desiree has been really helpful with the process of getting me debt free. She was understanding of my situation and never judge about my bad decisions in the past. She help me to reduced my debt from paying $980 monthly was reduced to $242 monthly, I have more money to spare and take care of my family now and I'm finally able to create an emergency fund after all this years. I know this may screw my credit for the next 10 years but what the heck... my credit was down the hill any ways... I was in a situation where I was getting nowhere. Freedom Debt Relief provided a relatively painless way to eliminate debt. I had some unique situations that caused many problems, and just as many times, someone at FDR dropped the ball. It would take weeks to find out that they didn't follow through, and I had to work an issue all over again. This is what prevents me from giving them a higher rating - if an associate ran into a problem, he/she just dropped it. This probably added a year to my settlements. There was also an issue of emails not being returned, or an irrelevant form email was sent. The best approach is to keep telephoning, and don't expect a follow-through without repeated calls.

It was a long 6 months but was worth the wait. First settlement saved us 50%. Looking forward to see the next one. Customer service could be a little better as they seemed confused when I would reach out to them. Uploading documents into the dashboard seems useless as no one gets them.

Freedom Debt Relief was the first one we found online. We called and talked to them, and they were really nice and willing to help us. They assisted us in consolidating our bills into one payment and we have been paying a lower rate than all of our individual bills. Working with our consultant was really good, too. She was helpful and she explained everything to us in simple and easy to understand terms. We love them, we haven’t had any major issues, and they're doing great so far. We started in January 2017 and at this point, we have paid off four of our bills. So, we finished half of them in two years. All in all, Freedom Debt Relief is trustworthy and it’s easy to follow their program. They make the monthly payment you have to pay affordable and when you call them, they answer your questions. I also feel like they know what they're talking about and they don't give you the runaround.

I had too many bills and didn’t wanna spend the rest of my life paying them. I reached out to Freedom Debt Relief. I make deposits, and they use the deposit to work with the accounts, and then they pay off the debt. The consultants were helpful. Working with Freedom Debt Relief has been very important. I will be debt-free a lot sooner than I would’ve been if I was just paying the minimum for many years.

I went with counseling instead of filing bankruptcy, and once I faxed Freedom Debt Relief everything and then got approved, it took more than one day but it wasn’t a long process. The rep was excellent. She said to call her any time if I had any issues. I didn't like my payment being increased a little bit, but other than that, it was fine. My wife went through a different company, which I’m glad I didn't ‘cause my process seems better than where she went through.

I’m glad Freedom Debt Relief is perfectly handling my situation. I only have two more bills to close out and my credit score went way up now, higher than what I had before. Whenever I had questions or concerns, they resolved those right away. A couple of times, I received letters from certain companies suing me. I sent those to Freedom right away and they handled it very professionally. I would definitely recommend them to people having problems paying the bills like I did. I liked how Freedom's programs seemed better for the need I had. I went with them and they consolidated everything I owed. The rep whom I worked with was friendly and gave me a monthly payment that worked well. She was very knowledgeable in trying to get everything to work the way I needed it to. I've been very comfortable working with Freedom's process. Anytime I call, their reps answer my questions and they would either email me information or take care of whatever my concern is.

I'm enjoying being with Freedom Debt Relief. I was stressed out for a long time 'cause my husband stresses me out over bills. He's a construction worker and he's been working in construction for 30 years. He gets on an employment automatically then he goes off from work at end of the week. What he makes and what I was gonna make stress him out. My daughter helped me out in signing up with Freedom and now, I don't want to even look at a credit card anymore. I had to take 3 accounts off because I got a family loan, and I couldn't really afford 291 every couple of weeks. So, everything is okay. I keep this to myself and to my daughter, but my husband would be a happy man when it's all clear.

I usually do not write reviews but after this experience it was a must. I enrolled in this program about 1 year ago, they settled my accounts pretty well in the beginning but the settlement fees were ridiculously high. If my account was settled for 2k, Freedom Debt Relief would charge 1,000 for the settlement fee. In other words you are still almost paying what you initially owned on the debt. Later I was offered a Consolidation Plus loan, that is when my settlements were settled for the exact same amount as my loan, which you have to repay. In total, this program saved me 4K, which is nothing. If you go ahead and do it on your own, you would probably save even more doing it on your own. Do not go with these companies they are dishonest, all they care about is the money they get from people who are truly suffering financially and they do not care.

As my accounts are resolving more quickly since doing the consolidation plus loan, I'm starting to think FDR is acting on behalf of their bottom line and not mine. As someone who is resolved at settling my past debt and getting my credit score back up after being laid off from work for over 6 months and finally obtaining a job where I am slowly starting to feel above water again, I'm beginning to believe that I may have made a huge mistake by joining FDR. NLLG and FDR like to point the blame when really they are in partnership and any failure looks bad on both of them as a whole.
I recently was informed that I have an account that was settled at an amount higher than the creditor offered in a letter that I provided to both FDR and NLLG. This leads me to believe that either NLLG is not thorough in reviewing the documentation I send in or they are settling at amounts to increase their and FDR profits. Either way, it's not something that makes me confident in the program. Now I would like to review settlement agreements with confirmation from my creditors that the money settled is the money that they receive.
In addition, I'm constantly getting the runaround, FDR can't make any updates to my account due to the loan, Consolidation Plus pushes everything back to FDR and vice versa. It's highly frustrating. If I am assigned a specialist, I should be able to take any matters to him and he follows up with the appropriate parties to ensure resolution because this constant run around has not been the greatest experience either. I'm hoping FDR can provide some resolution that restores my confidence in this process because at this point in time, it is all lost.

The FDR program is a good program and I would recommend for anyone needing to recover from debt. It got me out of debt and I do not regret enrolling in the program. The program works as FDR works with you individually to resolve your accumulated debt and relieve your stress from your indebtedness and pay of your debt for a fraction of your balance. I searched for the best program and FDR was the best by far!

I've heard some good things about Freedom Debt Relief and when I checked into it, it seemed like the right program for us. Mike, the rep, was very informative, professional and answered a lot of my questions on how long my credit would start to build up again as well as questions my husband and I had. I was under the impression that Freedom Debt would pay the debt, and I would pay it as soon as they could negotiate something and then I would pay them back. But that didn't make sense because if I would stop and change my bank account, they wouldn’t be able to find these and they would inherit my debt and I would be gone. I was under the impression that everything would be paid off within four months and it took four months for them to even start negotiating. I had to build my bank account up with them and it all made sense once that happened.
Freedom Debt came with a payment plan that I could afford and I wanna get it paid off as soon as possible because my husband is in very bad health and that's $500 a month that I will have to live on more. Depending on the sale of my house, I will probably pay a good lump sum to get that paid off quicker. Working with Freedom Debt helped us to be able to do and to buy the things that we needed especially with his health because under all that credit card debt, I would be struggling every month to even get his medicine, which was the main reason I did it even though we didn't know at the time that the illness was terminal. It helped us to be able to afford to do a few more things without having to worry about because all were paid off on time. But I am disappointed that when I went to their sister company, my payment has gone up $60 a month and right now, that's a lot of money.

I was in debt and didn't know how to get out. Freedom Debt Relief said they would negotiate between the creditors to get my bills paid off, but I did not expect for the fees to be a percentage of what I needed to pay. I guess you get nothing for free, so there had to be a price with it. The consultant was a fast talker, and I knew he was, and he walked me through it. He was very professional, and it was almost like I knew him from my childhood. I feel like the payment plan is too much, but it’s working for me and it gave me a relief of creditors.

I had a bunch of credit card debt because of an illness, and I couldn’t work. I needed to get the debt resolved pretty quickly, and Freedom Debt Relief seemed like they could work with me and keep my monthly payments fairly low so I could still pay bills. They helped resolve my debt through payments. They have a secured payment line that I provided each month. After I came back from the hospital, I was able to pay off so much a month. I just pay them, and then they’d notify the creditors and help settle the accounts.
I spoke with over 20 FDR reps during the program. I had to provide my Social Security Number, and then they looked up my account. They could answer questions based on the account updates that were in my online file. There were some trying times, and the last account I had to get resolved took a long time because they were trying to reach out to Citibank, and that took about eight months to get resolved. Nevertheless, I’ve completed the program and have settled all my remaining debts. Overall it was very stressful but still positive. I was able to get the debts settled, and that’s all I wanted.

I had three major credit cards that I had maxed out and was paying high interest on all three of them. Freedom Debt Relief's reps helped me get into their loan program. They had a lot of information, were very patient and explained everything to me in detail. They were very comforting and showed a lot of compassion too. They worked with me and what I had. I don’t make a whole lot yet they were able to work with my budget.
Everybody I worked with at Freedom was top-notch. They were all caring and concerned. If I had questions, they had answers. They never said, “I gotta call you back.” They knew on the spot what I needed and how to take care of it. I've turned somebody on to Freedom Debt and everybody whom I'm talked to who has gone with them has been happy. They made my life so much easier and took a huge weight off my shoulders. After doing the homework on Freedom Debt Relief, we decided that they are people we would be able to work with. They consolidated the debts that we needed to clean up and began to negotiate to help us get each of those paid off. They handled it in a way where the phone calls and the paperwork were removed from us and brought it to them so that anxiety was taken care of. They also made sure that our payment plan was affordable so it was comfortable for us. Plus, our rep was fabulous. The dignity and professionalism that he had was amazing, and there was no judgement, only pure help.
It was disappointing, however, that there was a lady who spoke to me and treated me very rudely. I understand every person is different and you can’t control everyone who answers the phone, but that was hurtful and difficult for me. Still, it has been a good experience overall. Our very last debt is being negotiated currently and we’re supposed to hear this week to make sure that one is cleared. We are absolutely grateful for the help that Freedom Debt Relief has provided and how they were able to keep our dignity intact.

We got hit with a lot of medical bills and they were huge because it was all out-of-pocket. The rep from Freedom Debt Relief that we talked to was very informative. He explained to us our situation as he saw it from our credit report and then he went over the different things and companies that we could deal with to get our debt straightened out and reduced down. He was filling the need that we were looking for. After talking to him, they're working on it now. We're still waiting to see what happens, but we have had some settlements go through already.
When Freedom Debt Relief would make a settlement, they would pull huge amounts out for their fees and then set up these small payments to go out to settle the debt. Since we've been in it, we've paid a lot but we haven't seen a lot going to the creditors. Then some guy called and said that we should get a loan to pay them all off through Freedom Debt Relief, but we didn't see the point of that. I wasn't happy with that at all. I called Freedom Debt Relief and asked them about it, and they said that a loan would make our credit better faster. But we've decided that we're just riding it out right now. We wanna get out of our debt and not take on another debt to cover it.

Previous rep said we finished last month and that we would receive the balance in our account by the 18th -- no transfer. Account fees have been deducted from our account and we don't understand why it is taking a month to close out bank account and receive an EFT directly into our checking account. I will be calling the bank directly today to make that request.

I’m a senior and I read in the book or in something, and Freedom Debt Relief was one of my options. And since then I’ve had several others called. But I’m perfectly happy with FDR. I’ve not had to consult with anybody. Everything has run so smoothly and I’ve not had any questions to ask them. Everything was laid out for me. So, it was all in black and white. If I need to get a message, or if they need anything from me they usually email me and I just respond to that or they give me information on how my progress is going. They also did exceptionally well with my payment plan because I’m on such a short, fixed income. That means really tight. And so, they’ve managed with my payment very, very well. I’m not disappointed at all. They did it within my reach.

I went overboard with my credit card and they made my payment so high that I couldn't make them. It kept going up. I looked for the number one debt settlement companies and Freedom Debt Relief is the number one. My experience went very well. I liked the application process. I had to do a few things. I got a letter from one of the persons that I owe money to and I had to fax them. I'm gonna do that not tomorrow but Saturday because I don't get my check until tomorrow. I don't have the money. I'm living on a fixed income. I'm living on my social security right now, and I don't get my check until tomorrow because tomorrow's the 3rd. I usually get it on the 3rd, but because the 3rd falls on a Sunday, they give it to you on a Friday, which I like.
With Freedom Debt Relief, I like the fact that I don't have to pay out any money and all goes right into whatever I'm paying, which is nice. I did find out that you have to pay the government some money on what you're paying. You have to pay an interest on the money that you're paying now. I talked to Freedom Debt Relief and they said, "Yeah, you probably will have to pay something on the money that you're paying back to all these people." I'm paying up not a whole lot of money. I'm not paying $30,000. I'm paying like 16,000, which is not that much. They told me, "We have people with $30,000 and we're helping them so we could sure help you."
I had one settlement with Freedom Debt Relief and I'm waiting for the next one. The quality of the service from Freedom Debt Relief is pretty good. I had to send them stuff. I had to fax them stuff, but that wasn't hard to do. I just take it to a place that will fax it to them. It didn't cost that much. it was $4 a fax. Freedom Debt Relief more or less take care of everything. If I get anything from somebody, they want me to fax it so they can look at it. I'm very satisfied with them. I got nervous about owing all that money but they said, “Don't worry about it, you don't owe that much.”

I went with Freedom and thus far, their service has been satisfying. I usually have problems with my computer that runs too slow and so I usually may phone calls. Freedom's reps have been very helpful. Even when I’ve had to do things over the computer on the dashboard, they’ve been able to help me and guide me through the steps.
I would like there to be more communication before Freedom has a settlement as there have been times that I've been busy and I won't see my phone. At times, they're negotiating something and I don't find out until two days later. A call would be helpful. Thus far, working with Freedom has helped me a great deal because I was paying a lot of bills and dealing with the worry of having to send payment to every one of those. Even so, since I came on to Freedom's program, I just send that one payment to them.

In 2016, my son was dying in the hospital. I got a bill for 100 and something thousand dollars, it kept him alive. They found out what was wrong with him. But he was in the hospital for a month. And those medical bills kept adding up. We kept adding to the card too because we're paying for medical and paying for stuff. The next year, I had an open heart surgery, broke my leg, I had to get a pacemaker. So, within two years, we went from living okay to a life with so much debt. It hit me hard and I wasn’t able to continue paying on everything. Freedom Debt Relief took over in paying my bills. Everything went good with their consultant. I like the payment plan that they provided for me. When they get ready to make a settlement, everything falls in to place. So far, I’ve been able to pay my monthly bills off to where I can add to the monthly installment plan that I have with Freedom.
My only issue was they told me to leave a number and to change the address so I wouldn’t get bombarded with the credit companies trying to call me, which I didn't see the need because Freedom eventually would start the process of taking care of the bills and I'd have the choice of picking up the phone and talking to somebody. With that, my address changed in the whole system so when other people tried to locate me, they started sending their inquiries and their bills to a fake address. I had a medical bill that people were trying to collect on and everybody thought I live in Arizona because when you type in my name, one of my addresses is Arizona. When they finally got a hold of me, it was a collection agency. I never got that other hospital bill because it went over to Arizona. I would have taken care of it, but I didn't like the idea that the medical bill went to a collection agency. I’ve had that experience with two different companies as well.
My other issue was when I sent the bill in, I asked the Freedom people about a month ago why they haven’t taken care of the smallest one. They said they don’t choose them like that. It doesn't work that way. In fact, this one company just recently sent my bill to collection and that’s going on my report now. It was below 500 and now, it’s up to $800 because I haven’t paid on it within the last year and a half. Had I known that, I would have gone ahead and just continued. But it doesn't matter because by not being able to pay the bills, I'd still get a mark on my credit score for that, regardless. And then, the guy told me that once I make an agreement, they start paying down any bill. When it’s paying up, it’s up to the people there. Within a month, they usually take it off the credit report.
And then, it increases the credit score because some of the things that I put in were my husband's and some were mine. There were a total of nine and they have three paid off. They have four in the works, and they have two that they still have to negotiate. It’s the highest one and the lowest one that needs to be worked on. And I’m about to pay two of my bills off totally. When I do that, they told me that they’d be able to make negotiations for another one. I’ve been with them a year and a half, so I’ve got about another two and a half years. But they got it set up to where some of the things will be paid off. I was able to pay all the medical bills off. That was why I was able to increase how much I put in. And when you increase your monthly payments or you make an extra payment, they pay off some bills quicker. Every time they pay one off, they make negotiations on another one.
I made a contract with them. I started with $420. And now, it is up to $500. They told me how much my total bills were and my monthly payments. They told me that the bill would average me over $800 a month. So, when I signed up with them, they knocked it down to me owing just half of that. The payment started out at $420 and they take 210 out biweekly. I had three checks coming in a month. When I told them what days to take it out, half a payment comes out of one check, and half a payment comes out of the other one. And I don't have to worry about those bills, or those credit cards.
Now, if I go ahead and I end up increasing it $50 per paycheck, that’s $100 more a month, and they will be able to negotiate on another card to pay because they have the money in the account, and they charge a fee when they take stuff out of the account. As your account builds up, they make your payments and they give you a schedule. And that shows what happens to the money that you got in there and what you're putting in.
Also, there’s a telephone number that you can call or a site you can go on if you wanna increase your monthly payments or do a one-time payment. I can just put $100 in or I can increase it, and that was how I’ve done it whenever I’ve increased it. I’ve called the telephone number about four times when I had any questions and they answered my question with a bit more knowledge. It helps you understand what they're doing, and how they're doing it, and where your money’s gone.
When you pay your credit cards yourself, you’re paying on a lot of interest. And every time you paid, only $10 of what you paid goes to the card itself. I was doing the thing where if you paid minimum, whenever the thing would come through, it would be like I only paid three dollars on the whole thing. So, the card can really add up. Before I went to this debt relief, I tried to call the credit card companies and asked them if they would work with me on the interest. I was having trouble paying my bills and nobody would work with me. It’s funny that I had to go to a card company like Freedom to help get me out of debt when all they had to do was agree to lower the interest.
Overall, I’m not worried about the amount of money that I paid Freedom because whenever they send the particulars, when they agree and everything else, they fax or email you what they’ve agreed to - how much the monthly payments are gonna be and what the total amount is gonna be to pay a card back. So, it’s saving me thousands of dollars. One of them was $4004, and the company agreed to take 28 instead of the 4000. So, they're big chunks of money that they save you.

The representatives from Freedom Debt Relief have great personality. But I need to get in touch with them. I received an email from them and they want me to refinance because I’m able to pay the 600 a month. I don’t understand that. I think there are two accounts that they have lowered the amount, Home Depot and I don’t know if they’re working with Synovus right now. They said pay first and then they help me pay the debt. I think they want me to get it all together and make a loan. In that way, I get out of debt faster.

A couple of years ago, I got behind on my credit cards. Freedom's rep told me about their program and I went with them. I've put over $24,000 in the program and everything has always been paid on time. Yesterday, I wanted to take a month off for personal reasons and I wanted money to stay in my bank account. Freedom's rep, Marcus gave me a hard time. He said that I could take a month off but then I would lose all the negotiations that they've done for me. I didn't wanna hear that. He also said that I won't have any money left in my account at the end of each month. I told him that I would and that it said on my dashboard how much money I have. I also said that my dashboard isn't worth a hoot because it's not telling me exactly what I have in my account. Marcus couldn't answer that.
In the beginning, when Freedom was looking for business, they were great and I couldn't say enough about them. Their reps answered all my questions. If had a problem I would give them a call and they took care of everything for me. I had one letter from an attorney which I turned over to them and they took care of the whole thing. They provided excellent service until yesterday. I was very satisfied with them.

As instructed I stopped my automatic payments from the creditors listed on my Freedom account. However I still get calls from some creditors looking for a payment. Should I disregard those calls. Other than that issue I am completely satisfied with my Freedom account and all the interactions that go along with it.

Freedom Debt Relief already settled 2 out of my 3 accounts. The third one is larger, so it’s gonna take a while because my fund needs to build up. I wish I could contribute more but I’m still trying to find a full-time job. So, from a financial hardship standpoint, it keeps getting worse. My credit score was 580 in the last time I checked, and it's painful for me to see it since I’m used to having a strong credit score. But it is what it is. Working with Freedom is certainly better than filing bankruptcy. When I signed up with them, it went really well and I was very happy with it in terms of the process, how they communicate, and how I’m able to respond and do what I need to do with each account as they go through the settlement process. So, it’s working well.

I searched and shopped around for debt relief companies, then I enrolled with Freedom. I liked my initial talk with their customer service rep and he walked me through the process. When I was still starting with them, I still got a lot of phone calls that were harassing me. But that's part of it until everything gets a rolling. It has worked real good with Freedom Debt Relief. They were the first one who has ever called me and I'm really happy with them. The payment was just a little high. I always paid my bills on time regardless of how hard it was, but it was not where I wanted to be. The Freedom Debt Relief rep reassured me that going with them was the right thing to do and really gave me a good feeling. The amount of money that my creditors lent to me went up from when I first decided to turn it over to Freedom Debt Relief which was scary, but they told me to change my phone number and address and let them do everything. In the beginning, I might have had a few calls from my creditors and I explained what I was doing and most of them understood. Then, I would let Freedom Debt Relief know that I got a call and they would handle it and reassure me that everything was okay. They've also been very helpful anytime I have a question.
Freedom Debt Relief worked with a payment plan that they knew I could afford and it was very reasonable. Plus, I had no idea that they were gonna renegotiate and take the debt down quite a bit. I'm on the right track and I'm almost done paying my debt off. Pretty soon, the money I'm putting towards paying those bills down will come back to me again. I just have what I need as far as a debit card and one credit card and the rest are gone.

I had a lot of credit card debt. And because I couldn’t really pay it down quickly, it just seemed to just explode with all of the interest rate. I was getting to the point where my income couldn’t hardly even pay the minimum payments on it. So, I talked to Freedom Debt Relief to help with that, and they did. I’ve seen their commercials on TV. I looked them up and found that they had a good rating so I went with them.
One of the people that I talked to was Travis. He answered all of my questions. He seemed to know what he was talking about. He was nice and sympathetic. We discussed the amount of money that they were gonna take out, and they did that every month. And I had the money in there so it worked out well. The only thing I wasn’t really that happy about is the amount of their fees. And I know that they’re in this to make money, and they could’ve gotten a much better settlement than I could’ve, and they know what they’re doing. So, I realize I’m paying for the service. But what’s happening is my debt, where I was repaying them $28,000, they’re charging on those $20,000 fees. I had $6,000 in my account, that account that I have, that dedicated account for Freedom Debt Relief. When they did the payoff, and I got the loan and they paid everything off, Freedom Debt Relief took all but $53 of that in their fees. So, I wasn’t happy about that. That’s a lot.
And they’re charging 22% interest, which I think is outrageous. It really wasn’t made clear to me that they were gonna charge all that money. What they told me was, unless there was fine print that I didn’t read or something. But I know that they’re getting the results that I couldn’t get on my own. They did help, and in four years, I’m going to be totally free of that debt. And I’m grateful for that. I just think that they need to be a little more upfront with what the fees are going to be and how that’s going to affect everything. Because I don’t think they did a very good job in that respect.
I’m 70 years old and I’m hoping that I’ll still be able to work for the next four years so I can pay this off. The girl that I spoke with suggested that I give them a call in about six months to see if they would lower my interest rate and it could lower the payment. And if they don’t wanna do that, I’m gonna look into getting a personal loan. Because 22% is a lot for a loan, and I had good credit. So, hopefully, I will be able to get a loan that I can pay off. And again, this is not the tax relief program, this is loan program. I had the occasion to call there once or twice about something, and everyone I spoke to was very nice and very helpful. So, I was very happy with their service.

I had three credit cards, and my interest was so high on them, I just couldn’t get ahead. I happened to see information for Freedom Debt Relief and thought maybe I would try them to see if I could get these credit cards paid off. The consultant explained everything -- what would happen and how it would happen. They were courteous and very explanatory. I was able to handle the payment, and they’ve already settled two credit cards and I have one left.

We’ve heard a lot about Freedom Debt Relief. We also read up about them before we enrolled into their program and their reputation just stood out. Their service has been wonderful. Every time we have a question, we call and they answered everything very well. I’ve enjoyed the experience. We’ve been in the program since January of this year and it has tremendously helped us. We’re getting everything situated where we know now that we’re not gonna get no credit cards again because we know if we can’t buy it outright, we don’t need it. I received my first settlement and I couldn’t be more pleased. FDR saved me a little more than half which was outstanding in my opinion. I was making a call to another company but somehow Freedom Debt Relief answered the call. I saw a number, dialed it and they were the ones that came up. I was in a situation where I needed to consolidate. The reps were very easy to talk to. When I spoke to the first person that day when I connected on the line, they explained everything very clearly, politely, and informed me of what was ahead of me. I decided to go along with them because of the way they directed me, and so far, I'm comfortable with them. I really don't understand how to get in the computer and do certain things but they took the time out to work with me, to show me how and what to do. And if I had a problem, they gave me a backup number to call them to get further assistance. The're very helpful and reliable.
I feel good because the phone calls have stopped. There are still a few that come in, and when they do, I just tell them this is what I'm doing. So I'm not stressed out the way I was before. I was really stressed out before I got in contact with Freedom because I was doing minimum payment but nothing was going anywhere. My credit score is not dropping anymore because whatever offer Freedom made to the different people that I owe, it stopped whatever was going on with my credit score. I'm very satisfied. If anyone got themselves in any trouble like I did and don't know what to do, they should call Freedom and connect to it because they really stand up on their word. They're highly recommended.

FDR's reps have always been helpful and upbeat. In the very beginning, I worked with the same gentleman. Since I took the option in LLG attorney, I then started dealing with other people. There was a lot of time in between, waiting for the funds to build up and waiting for the settlement offer. At this point, I've gotten all my settlements and my program is finishing up. Everything went smoothly. I recommend Freedom.

Every time I called Freedom Debt Relief, they've been very helpful and have solved the problem I called about. They let me know whenever somebody has been paid off and they've closed out about five accounts. Most of them do what they said they were gonna do and things have been going much smoother and quicker than I thought it would. The only problem I had was when the lawyer messed up and didn't handle a crossover. So, the creditor went in one of my bank accounts and took the money. That caused a little hardship, but other than that, FDR is good about what they do. I have recommended them to some of my friends.

I made a decision to find a debt relief company, then I went online, and my decision was to go with Freedom Debt Relief. Whenever I had a question, I call the consultants and they seem to answer my questions. The payment plan seems reasonable too. It would be nice to pay the bills faster but there isn't any way to do that at this point. I've been with Freedom for about a year already and while there’s been a little bit of stress, there's been a little less agonizing phone calls.

All of them at Freedom Debt Relief have been extremely professional. They had a lot of information, and they provided me with everything. If I had questions, they answered them. If I called back and didn't understand something, I could always call back, and they were able to help me. They knew what they were doing. I went with them because I saw a commercial on TV and I wasn't familiar with any other debt settlement companies. They consolidate my credit card debt which I needed to get handled, and then they do most of the managing and the negotiation with the creditor. I have two more years to complete the program. Compared to what I was paying before, they made my life a little bit more manageable.

I got credit card problems and I needed to do something. Freedom asked me what I could do and I told them, and they said that was fine. I told them what would work for me and they agreed with it. They were awesome. I was very comfortable working with them. I hardly ever talk to them. But they'll text me and I'll text back yes if I wanted something approved. I have not had any problems, so everything's fine. I would recommend them. Now, I don't have a credit that's calling me.

Freedom Debt's rep explained everything to me really well. I went with them for what I owed on my credit card and they took what I owed into a payment plan for which I have a certain amount taken out every month. That amount goes towards what I owe. Thus far, they have taken care of half of my debt. When they set up my payment plan they did the days that were good for me, particularly when I get my social security. The payment automatically comes out which makes things a lot easier. I've gotten very good service from FDR thus far. I had a lot of medical bills and I couldn't pay my credit cards. They helped me with that. I was able to live.

I will recommend to anyone that's way beyond their means like I was. I've always paid my bills on time, I made payments of would I could was getting a little behind on the interests. So I looked for help checked several org. & companies til I checked on them (The FDR team). I've two negotiations going on and they're working on a third, I can sleep, no creditors calling me day & night, letters of pressuring me for payments that I couldn't afford and the main thing is they've saved me a lot of money from the interests & time. I spoke with Jerome ** and he was most helpful in addressing my questions. However your people have been trying to pay off my last credit card for about a month now with no success. I was asked to call the credit card company, U S Bank, and they told me I could pay off the settlement amount right then over the phone and that Freedom Debt Relief had all the info needed to do the same; yet the settlement has not been paid off. Sufficient funds are in your bank. I'm just a little confused and hope this glitch gets cleared up soon and I become debt free. Thanks in advance for your help.

We are so grateful for Freedom Debt Relief. They helped us so much. We were in so much debt do to things that were out of our control. They help us save so much and I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about filing bankruptcy. I have always believed in paying my debt off and FDR helped me do that and now my credit score is the highest it has been in a very long time. I don’t know what we would have done without them. So far is has been pretty easy, everyone that I have been in contact with have been very helpful. The only negative about this whole process is the creditors calling. I have never not paid buy accounts on time and they have been calling non stop this week
