I worked with Kyle and the sign up process was very good. He was helpful, courteous, and professional. He might try slowing his delivery a bit. I had to ask him to repeat or explain several times. Updated on 10/14/2020: When I signed up they told me 2 yrs and I would be debt free. That’s not the case. I’ve been with them since February 2019. Now they are saying it’s going to be December of 2023. I had 76,000 in debt. I’ve paid in almost 24,000 and only 3 things have been taken care of the 10 I enrolled with!! Very upsetting.
Original Review: I was very skeptical about using Freedom I had looked at other companies and then looked them up on BBB and there ratings where terrible. I decided to call and see if they where going to show me smoking mirrors. I talked to Mr ** and he broke everything down step by step on what they wanted to do to help me. He never pushed told me to think about it and call him back. If he didn’t hear from me by tomorrow he would call and see how I felt. I looked it over and decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad that I did. They have helped me out so much. Even when I have questions I can call Mr ** or customer service and they answer my questions right away. If I get any collection letters I send them to customer support and they take care of it. I would definitely recommend Freedom if you need help getting everything back online!!

Very informative and helpful. My consultant is awesome. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is drowning in unsecured debt. Particularly high interest credit cards and "payday" lenders. I researched several companies when looking. Freedom was the only company that had very few negative reviews.

My experience with Freedom Debt Relief has been good. They are helping me pay off some credit card debt. They set up a payment plan and it comes directly out of my account. I’ve been in the program for two years now and I have about two more years.

I was a little disappointed at what my original discussion with your representative regarding the policy of FDR and the recent final discussions I had with a couple of your consultants, who indicated that policies changed over these past few years. I was trying to pay off my balance and felt that the lump sum I had to pay to settle the last account of CITI would have been costing me 75% of the original debt. You can review the notes in my record and read my thoughts, questions and my concerns with the results of my last two conversations. Very disappointed with the answers as my thoughts are if you change your policy, it should only affect the new clients and not those older accounts who should have been grandfathered in the system. UPDATED 05/26/2022: I made the decision to correct my debt problems in 2018 and going with FDR was the best choice by far! They've kept me informed every step of the way and re-establishing my credit has been on the up ever since.

This is a good program. It takes the load off your shoulders. I’m about halfway there and my life is hell of a lot better! The consultant I dealt with was great too. She sounded energetic and very nice. She had a lot of information and she answered all my questions. Initially, she told me the different prices and what I could afford, and we took it from there.

Updated on 05/02/2020: Your customer service was very helpful and kind. We are about a year and a half into the program and feeling kinda stalled. I had received an email from a competitor debt relief company saying we qualified for the loan through them. I have no interest in changing companies. I am very happy with how you have dealt with us and helped. But I was very bummed we didn't qualify for the quick loan. I understand the reasons. And I know our debt is going down. Original Review: I gave Freedom Debt Relief a call to see what it was all about and the guy I talked to was amazing. He convinced me on the spot to do it. The customer service I've received has been absolutely amazing. They explained everything that was going to happen. And when it happens and I get scared, they talk to me and explain it again even though they’ve already explained it to me. When I have questions, I usually use the online chat and they are pretty good at easing my mind. We’ve made pretty good progress. We have settled two, and one is gonna be settled within three months. I was surfing the internet, and I came upon Freedom Debt Relief. I was in debt of 3,000 with my credit cards. And I was having a hard time keeping up with my payments, so I decided to give it a try. I kinda didn’t trust them. I called a few times then I would just hang up. And then, one day, I wanna to do it and go through with it. The rep was really good, kind and understanding. He told me about how they could help me. We signed papers over the internet. And then a couple of times, a couple of the credit cards had hired lawyers and they came after me, but Freedom helped me.
It’s been a pretty good experience with their customer service, except that one time, some lady that was representing my case against one of those law offices was kinda rude to me. They were stationed in Oklahoma. She didn’t get back to me right away, so the timeframe had passed by, so the lawyers almost took me to court. But somehow, Freedom helped me. She also referred my case to somebody else, so that was okay. I’m glad I’m working with Freedom. My debt has come down quite a bit. And they’ve been really working for me. A lot of my debts were paid off, half paid off. They negotiated for me. I owed three grand, and I ended up paying like 1,800. I got a couple more years to be with them, and then I’ll get everything paid off.

We're planning to purchase a house within the next year or so. Getting my credit consolidated is one of the best decisions I have made. Yes, it's a slow and tedious process but looking at it for the long run is the best decision I've made.

I was very satisfied with the lady I spoke to. I was concerned about all the phone calls I was still receiving. She explained that is alright that I quit answering the calls. I gave a new number to call a creditor. She set my mind at ease, and explained what the next process will be and about when it will begin. I don't remember her name, but she is a keeper.

They gave me advise on how to deal with credit card companies that refused to accept I had enrolled in debt consolidation. The credit card companies had told me I had to call, email and write to them of my decision.

Mainly because of the expertise provided by FDR around half of our accounts have been settled in a year. Our remaining debt is approximately 40% of what it was in the beginning. For me a large part is letting FDR maintain contact with Creditors. Not being called over and over is Priceless.

I seriously doubt this will be published; but all comments HAVE been looked at from all angles before I add them. FDR is a company that will twist numbers to make it seem as if they are doing a superb job of assisting you. When asked a question they have NEVER sent a direct answer. All answers have been sent by email and are not real answers but are a copy of some propaganda their computer sends. Their answers have NEVER offered a real answer to our questions.
EVERY FAKE ANSWER I have received has prompted a call to Customer Service. About 50% of my calls to their Customer Service Representatives have ended with me telling them to, "PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS OR PUT SOMEONE ON THE TELEPHONE THAT CAN AND WILL". My opinion is that FDR will do exactly as little as possible, when questioned they will attempt to baffle with BS. If you have to get a company to work for you they will get the job done but it will possibly take a looong time.

Started off a bit slow & I was rather nervous, then about 4-6 months in the negotiations started being made and 1 by 1 the accounts began disappearing. I had 4 accounts left to be negotiated as of a week ago. I received a loan through Consolidation Plus and I am now graduating from the program, and will begin building my credit again by paying back the loan. I would’ve have never dig out of the $24,000 hole I was in without FDR.

We had had a lot of medical issues in the past four years, which was kinda got us into a lot of credit card debts to survive, and I’m looking forward to retirement and trying to get everything cleaned up before I do. I saw Freedom Debt Relief on my Facebook page and the reviews that I had read were good, so I called them. The consultant was fabulous. She was really very helpful with me and she put me at ease that it was the right thing for me to do. They’ve been wonderful. They’ve gotten a lot of debt cleared off for me already and I’ve only been with the program for two years -- we got about a year and a half left. The payment plan is working well for me, and staying in contact with them during the whole process has been so easy. They are always able to answer my questions when I call.

I was head over heels with credit card debt so I sought out somebody to try to help with relieving the debt. I came across Freedom Debt Relief by chance and took a chance. The process was quick and handled well. And the payment plan was good. I was in good standing for my payments for over six months, then they offered me a loan. It was to pay off the rest of the settlement so it was incorporated. I wasn’t too keen on it though because I wasn’t told about the high interest rate, which is killing me. Now, $200 of the 640 that I’m paying is going towards the loan and the rest of it is going towards the interest. It’s kinda senseless because it’s only shy a few hundred dollars of what I was paying with the credit cards’ minimum payments. Moreover, it was supposedly for 33 months, but it was over 40 months.

I had thousands of dollars of unsecured debt and when I retired, I went through trying to go to my financial institute to get help. I didn’t know anywhere that would help me. If the credit is unsecured debt, who would want to help you get out of it? When I called Freedom, they took all of my information and we worked everything, and I guess they’ve been working it out. I’ve been paying Freedom $469 every two weeks, which is over $1,000 a month. If the month’s running to five weeks, I pay them $1,500 a month. This been going on for well over a year. They’ve been telling me that I've already paid eight credit cards off.
First time I had a problem was a few weeks ago. I’m trying to buy a house and I'm trying to get a mortgage. My credit report was pulled and I have all this stuff still on my credit report. It is like I’m not paying anything. So I called Freedom Debt Relief and they said they don’t get with the credit department and let them know what’s paid and what we got a contract with. They said I have to do that myself. But I’m 69 years old. I don’t even know how to go online and look through this dashboard stuff. I asked them to send me a copy of everything that’s paid, everything that they're working on now, what my balance is and what my cut-off date is. They’re gonna sending me something within 5 or 10 days and they said I’ll be able to take that. But it has just made it so hard for me to buy a house. My credit is still in the bad credit and I thought that’s what Freedom was doing – cleaning it up.
Plus they told me a lie that they had an agreement with paying Macy’s. I owe Macy’s $14,000 and it’s still on my credit report. I called Freedom Debt Relief and I let them know that Macy’s contacted me. In terms of customer service, some reps are better than others as well. I have called when I have missed a month and reps have made arrangements for me to pay my regular payment and how to catch up. Then there were some that were like, “Well, you’re behind.” But most of the time, they’re pretty nice and willing to help me get back on track.

I found them on an ad on the internet, and what they presented sounded exactly what I needed help with. The whole thing was a good experience. Everybody was very knowledgeable, and they were right there to help me and answered my questions whenever I had any. I went with their sister company, Consolidation Plus, and got a loan and went with FDR to pay off the loan.

I am very concerned with what took place with the legal department in helping me with the Discover accounts. It appears that they negotiated too high on the payback amounts and I may not have enough built up to pay everything as it should be. They have me eventually by 2021 paying a total of $1400.00 per month to both of these accounts. I am not sure that I can increase my monthly amount submitted by much more than the $1400.00 that I am currently committed to. I am looking into getting a second job to help supplement this. I do not want to take out bankruptcy. I want to be able to pay these off. I have also put an application into Consolidated Plus a sister company to help pay this all off.

From the very beginning I knew joining FDR was the best decision for ME. I was making minimum payments on credit cards that would continue with no real end in sight if I didn't get help. FDR gave me the opportunity to still pay off my debt, just at a lower rate and a much quicker end. With the help of their knowledge to negotiate settlements, I saw 2 accounts get resolved within the first 6 months, and another 2 within 9 months.
Less than a year after I joined I was offered a consolidation loan. Knowing now what I know now, I wish I had accepted that offer sooner! With the help of a Consolidation Plus loan, I was able to pay off all my accounts, my payments stayed the same and my loan will be paid off in less than time than I would have been in the program. Just remember to close your accounts once you enroll them in the program. That was one BIG thing I forgot to do and it increased the balance due. Make your deposits. I received a letter from a creditor wanting to resolve an account from $7600.00 to $2648.00. I haven’t heard from Freedom Debt concerning a settlement. I sent the letter to Freedom Debt four days ago and still waiting a response.

Would like to be more informed at status of debt negotiations at least monthly. I do check the dashboard for progress but it doesn't seem informative enough. It should state what's next and when attempts to settle will begin not just hold pattern etc.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer back in 2017 and up until that time, we were able to stay on top of our bills. But with his cancer, we just kept getting further and further behind. So before we started having all the people calling us, we got ahold of FDR to see what our options were and that seemed to be a better help for us at the time. Everything went well when we got in contact with them. They were attentive although I felt as if they were calling me too much at first. It may have been because we had a lot of unusual debt so in the beginning there were things that were out of the norm. But they got to where they slowed down in calling me.
We're still on the program and we've had a considerable amount of collectors that they've been able to pay off. The outstanding ones right now are the ones that we actually owed the most on and they're gonna be a little bit harder to negotiate with. Our income has diminished a little bit but not to the point where it is devastating us to continue with the payment. Although I am not seeing more money come up, I'm seeing the fact that the debts are going away.

I had gotten into some risky debts because of the person I was with. When I looked through Freedom Debt Relief's information, I felt like it was a good choice. Their customer service has been great. I never had a problem getting in touch with somebody that was able to get the right information to get to my account. So any problem was quickly resolved. I have been able to settle three of a few. It is a significant amount that I settled for, and I'm glad that I decided to go this route. I have suggested to two of my friends that had problems monetarily, just because I have had great customer service. They really give all the support that I could need. I would definitely suggest it.

I am happy with my service. I am just afraid of what will happen when it's time to file taxes. The fees seem a little high on some of the settlements, but I understand that the company has to make money as well.

It seemed to take forever for one of my accounts to get settled. I must have not understood how the program worked as I thought they would get settlements and pay on all of the accounts... just lower payments. Also, I think that charging 26 % is way too much for FDR to charge. By the time the accounts have gone way over you end up paying as much as you would have just paying them yourself.

Lending Club sent me an email they were going to withhold over $400 from my checking account. Last week I had breast cancer surgery and did not even have that much in my account. The representative advised me to call them and ask for automatic withholding to be stopped. Also explain recent surgery. I did and it has been stopped.

I was online searching for a company to represent me, and the guy from Freedom walked me through the steps more and told me more what to expect. He told me that him and his wife had gone through the process themselves, which made me feel comfortable. It’s been a year now, and most phone calls have stopped! Some creditors were relentless and called us 3-4 times a day. Going through the program was great. But now, trying to get someone to see that my dedicated account is larger than the debt owed and trying to reduce my bi-weekly payment is frustrating. The 2 accounts left have been charged off as bad debt. But when I call they tell me I can’t remove them and you will continue to take $990 a month. Very upsetting, I paid more to get done this month and now I am really struggling financially. No reason to keep taking money from me, when there is enough in my dedicated account.

I have been living with social security when I was shot back in '84 and got hit by someone. Within a month, I was trying to pay the rent back in Scottsdale and so I got these bills that were piling up. I had four or five credit cards that racked up to 10,000. I was paying a lot cheaper with FDR where they're taking $200 a month. There was also another credit card and a rep told me they were gonna pay $381. I get $1,526 but after my bills next month, I have $59 and that's hard. I get one more bill and then $25 for Home Depot and we will be done. So in January, I'm gonna get a little bit more money and I will give $200 more to FDR so it's 400 in total.

I turned my credit cards over to Freedom Debt Relief because I could not pay them out. My husband had passed, and so I had to have help on them. My sister-in-law picked this company out and she referred me to it. The application process and the payment plan are okay. Staying in contact with their consultants is easy and all I have to do is give them a call. They always keep me updated. I’m on my last credit card already.

I heard from work that there was gonna be a cut in my salary so I knew I wasn't gonna be able to pay my bills. I did a search online and filled out some information. Within that evening, Freedom Debt Relief called. I didn't have to wait a long time before they contacted me. They assigned me to a program where I put all of my credit or debit card debts that I had to augment. I started off with 13 credit cards and I've already settled 11 credit cards, several of those have already been paid off. I'm down to my last two and I'm in the process of paying them off. I also just recently got another credit card.
I spoke to a gentleman named Mike and he was very helpful in explaining the situation and in getting me started. He explained the entire program to me and papers were mailed out to me. I kept in contact with him that first week that everything was settling. I haven't spoken to him since 'cause every time I call in, I get somebody different. But every time I do, their representatives are extremely helpful and they tell if things can't be done. For weeks where my payments are due for FDR and I can't make the full payment, I'm able to adjust and add a payment when I'm due.
It's a very helpful program. It's made my life a lot easier having not to worry about individual merchant payments. Knowing that with the two payments I make a month to FDR, than in itself is paying a lot of my credit card debts. It's had a positive impact and it's made it a lot easier financially. I've been with them for about three years now and I've been extremely happy. I would recommend them to friends and anybody that has any financial difficulty with debt.

I have had a kidney transplant and had to use credit cards for food, and it mounted up. We had tried another company and they were taking their fee out first before they even reached out to the creditors. I made the switch to Freedom and the rep treated me like a person, and he was very thorough. One time, I had to pay a little bit more because I overlapped in the program where the creditors hadn’t been paid. But that was the only time we had to put in more. Now I don’t have to worry about getting calls every day, and I know that in the near future, all of those credit cards are gonna be gone with payments. One or two have already dropped off and they're working on two more. I had two lawsuits that concerned me, but they took care of it. When my husband retires, it'll be easy. I'd recommend them to anybody.

I had too many bills to cover and when my mother passed away, I found out she had not paid my child support. I had 30,000 something by child support I had to pay and working with Freedom was great. They were fast and speedy with everything. Also, the bi-weekly payment plan is great and I’m able to cover my bills a lot easier than when I used to. They just settled my other account three months ago and I’m not halfway done, but I’m in the middle.

I signed up with the program through Freedom Debt Relief, and they’ve done a good job so far. I really like them.The customer service has been great. They’ve got like a bank that would take over the loan. They got this call, and they said that I could possibly qualify for a loan to pay the whole debt thing off, and then I would just have one monthly payment like it was with Freedom Debt Relief. But I got real leery about that because something didn’t sit well with me. I felt like I would’ve been paying more than what I’m set up with my monthly account through Freedom Debt Relief. So, I didn’t go with that. The gentleman I was talking with wasn’t real happy with me. I knew they were legit because they work with Freedom Debt Relief but I had a funny feeling about it.

I had a lot of debt and paying all the minimums was just eating up my budget. But working with Freedom made me really comfortable. Nobody can guarantee you anything, but in desperate situation, the right person you call at the right time was very hand in glove for me. I had talked to National Debt Relief before, but I went with Freedom instead because of their pitch. The debt consultants have been very good. They have answered my questions in a timely manner and they were clear. If I had questions about changing a draft date or a suit that was filed, they answered everything articulately and put me at ease and let me know that everything was going to be all right.
Working with them has relieved some stress. They let you know going in that your credit will be affected because you have to wait three months before people can write you off, and either put you in collections or begin filing suits. With that understanding going in, if you don’t have the money, you don’t have the money. So, they do let you know some of the adverse consequences to that action of going with them versus trying to get two jobs to pay off the debt and it still mounting. I’ve had a wonderful experience with them and I’ve been with them since October of last year.

The experience has been wonderful. Already seeing an increase in my credit. Service has been great. Information is communicated regularly. Updated on 02/07/2021: We did consolidation. I’m still paying them off, but Freedom Debt Relief has been great. They were so nice to deal with and they made it easy. It’s almost fun to get into debt. They told me it would take 48 months. And then, we worked out the amount which was something I could handle. And they’ve been very good about it. A couple of times, I was not able to pay my full amount, and they worked with me on that. I found that it’s not such a terrible thing to be in debt because there are companies out there that work for the clients. I will be done by next week. If I don’t give them the lump sum, I wouldn’t be done for another year and a half. So, I will just come up with the lump sum, and I’m gonna settle everything up.
Original review: My friend got involved with Freedom Debt Relief first and when she told me about it, I liked it. The program is simple. Brandon took the time to explain the program. They told me everything. They told me about the fees, and they gave me the estimated time of graduation. And they keep you posted, which I like about it. They take the time and explain things. I never feel that I was bothering them. As stupid as the question might sound, they talk to you. So they guide you through it. They set the amount and it started at $200, but now it is up to $216 because I added another credit card to the mix. So far, it’s working. I have one settlement already, and I have eight more credit cards that they’re gonna work on. They’re doing very well for me. They’ve been very nice to deal with. I’m very comfortable with them and I don’t feel like I made a mistake with them.

I’m seeing a lot of negative complaints about other debt relief programs, but I can’t say anything bad about Freedom. They were recommended by someone and the reps were all good. Also, the first person I spoke with was very good and helpful. He explained everything to me, got me in the program and told me what I needed to do. I won’t be completed with them until 2021, but everything is working out well for me.
They took care of all my credit card debts and negotiated with everyone. They did a good job, but one creditor wouldn’t settle and that was the bank that held Sears. With Freedom trying, it took quite a bit of time and what I didn’t realize at that time is that their interest rate was still going up on that credit card debt. Now, I’m stuck with that bill but I don’t blame Freedom because they did everything else and I have had a great experience with them.

Everybody else wanted to give me a loan, but my credit was so bad that I couldn't get a loan. And with Freedom Debt Relief, it wasn't about a loan. Their customer service is fantastic. They let me know when they're settling and whatever they're settling. Also, I could check everything online. I wouldn't have done it any other way. The program is starting to help our credit score already. I'd advise everybody to use it.

So far, my experience with Freedom Debt Relief has been pretty good. I have settled four of my nine accounts that I have, and one of them is finished with the settlement. I have three that I’m working on, and there are five more that I’ll be working on within the next year or less. I’ve been very happy with the way the settlement has gone, as far as timing. So, that’s very helpful, as far as when I make my deposit into the account. My interactions with their rep have been pretty good as well. They communicate with me through email and text sometimes.

I found out about Freedom Debt Relief from a friend of mine who used them. The consultant I dealt with was great. I asked him a million questions. Having not ever done this, I did not know which direction to go and was trying to figure out my best direction. He helped me out dearly and gave me direction. He told me what to do, sent me all the paperwork, and I went from there. I had a lot of debt, so I have been with them for three years now. Their sister company have contacted me and offered me and my husband to do a loan to get the debt resolved sooner, but my payments right now are maxed at what I can afford. The only thing with Freedom Debt Relief is that, when they call, I wanted to talk back to the same man that I had been dealing with, and it is hard to get that same person. But, other than that, the company is great.

I wanted to do consolidation and based on what I was reading, FDR seemed to be reputable. When I contacted them, their reps explained everything thoroughly. I get emails or texts letting me know the situation and it's working well. I was also able to customize the payment plan and it came to a good number. I'm about a third of the way and it has given me more cash throughout the month. But rather than paying a lot on three different credit cards, I'm just making one payment monthly.

Updated on 09/05/2020: Both myself and wife are very pleased with Freedom Debt, they are very efficient and courteous. Whenever we had questions they would always answer or if they didn’t know they would find out for us. It boost our credit rating up and we would recommend this program to anyone who is wanting to fix their credit.
Original Review: We couldn’t afford to make all the payments on our scheduled due date for our credit cards. So then, my wife looked online and found Freedom Debt. We called them and we got signed up with them. The payment plan fits our budget. We have to budget every other week for it, but it works. We are halfway through the program and I wish that we could get the debts resolved a little faster, but I understand it takes time.

I didn’t have enough money to go around to make my monthly payments. With Freedom Debt Relief, I don’t have a need to contact anybody ‘cause things are going along well. If they have a question, they email me and I email the answer or push the button that gets them what they want. They made the payment per month within my range that I could afford to make. It’s made it easier to get the payments made without so many phone calls. They’ve paid off five, and the rest of them are in process.

I was at the end of my ropes when I got to the point where I couldn't make ends meet even paying min payments on credit cards. I was keeping my FICO score in good shape but falling further and further into debt. I saw an ad for FDR and called them. They were so friendly & explained everything in terms I could understand. I knew Freedom Debt Relief is a debt resolver. I saw them on Facebook and people were talking about them. I checked them out and I liked them. A lot of companies say that they have debt solution problem, but they don’t do a lot of talking. I don’t care what you’re doing but communication is the key. I liked the fact that FDR checked up on me to see what they can do and that’s important. They helped me with my bills. When I sent in all my bills, they explained to me what kind of solution they can come up with and see if I can handle that. And I could for a while, and some other things started coming in. I live on a fixed income and they worked with me until I can get what’s coming in resolved, and I come back and finish up even though the plan might be a little longer. I respect the fact that they work with me.
Everyone I talked to was always courteous. When I came to a point that I couldn’t pay the $347 a month, they worked with me in lowering my bill until I can get back to that point. That was a blessing because the holidays are coming up. I’m gonna have to call them again to work with me for December and pick it back up. For about a year and a half that I've been working with them, I have peace of mind that those things are being taken care of, and to know that I have flexibility. That’s important because even though you get into these programs, if you’re living on a fixed income, sometimes the money don’t stretch and you need some help and can’t get a loan. But you can talk to them and they can take off $100 and work it back in, and that’s good. I like that. My experience with Freedom has been beautiful. I love it.

I went online and checked out the ratings of debt relief companies and Freedom Debt Relief had a number one rating on all the ones that I looked at. They told me the settlement of my debt would take 4 years, 48 months. I’m coming up on two years and so far, it’s been what they said it was gonna be. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was when they said they would negotiate my debt, which they did, but it didn’t come down as much as they said it would. Also, their customer service team does well. I work with whoever is available. The only problem is they don’t ever call me and give updates. They give a client dashboard and you can go in there and look at it any time. But if you want an update, you gotta call. So, I stay in touch with them regularly and see what is going on. They could improve on their customer relations and reach out to their customers a little more.

I received a letter from one of my creditors saying that they would most definitely cancel my card unless I paid the balance in full. Freedom Debt Relief reassured me this wouldn't happen. If I had to review my telephone call which was answered by "Andrew" my review would be "5 Stars". However, I am so upset about the proposed settlement with Discover that am sorry I signed up with Freedom From Debt. I am 71 years of age, and the debt I have is mostly due to illness, funeral expenses, and necessary house repairs. When I saw that Discover was not willing to compromise, I could feel pain in my chest. When I first signed with FFD, Discover offered me 50% off, but I told them I had signed up with FFD, and I could no longer negotiate with them.
Now the attorneys for FFD are accepting a settlement for MORE than the original debt. Living on Social Security doesn't even give me enough money left over each month after pay the $704 to buy a cheap cup of coffee. Makes me wish I had spent the money on a new car, and a vacation! Because of this I tell everyone not to shop at Sears. I don't even care if sears cares, it just makes me feel better. Don't blame Andrew for this upset. He did a great job of making me feel a little better, and for that he deserves a raise.

While it is a big help getting this debt off my back and they do a good job with negotiating with creditors. The people that sign you up mislead you about the process, saying your credit rating won't be affected much. It IS. They also don't let you know the cost of their service up front. So ask questions. I first contacted them, and I didn’t get through. I went through another company, but this other company lied to me when I figured to start doing my calculations. The rep from Freedom Debt Relief called me back and talked to me and then they followed-up. We went over the numbers again, and that was when I made my decision. They were very professional and they cared about the situation that I was in. They weren't in it to make money off of me. Plus I like the emails, the alerts that I get. I googled debt relief companies and Freedom Debt Relief came up. When I read about them, they seemed to have a lot of positive response. They were rated really well. The rep seemed helpful but persistent about trying to get me into a program that would help me. Nonetheless, the program I was provided with has been really good. As far as setting up a payment plan, I talked to them about my income and what I could afford to do. And I agreed at that moment. Working with Freedom has taken some of the stresses off me and helped me coordinate a payback plan to my creditors over a period of time. It didn’t seem like there was any other option, but they were very helpful. If I have a problem, I call them and find out what's going on. But I'd like them to send me alerts about accounts if they're overdue or there's a payment missing.

With Freedom Debt Relief, everything is taken care of. My husband had them and he still has them, and he recommended them to me. I feel comfortable working with them. Every time they have some kind of settlement, they let me know. And every time I have a bill, I'll fax it to them and I get in right away. I had to increase my payment plan because one of the credit card banks asked for more. So I increased the amount. I got a year or two to go. I'm halfway there. I'm still paying every two weeks, and everything is working nice and smoothly. I recommended them to someone.

I've been with Freedom Debt Relief for a little under four years. I like that they do mostly everything for you. After you’ve got all the paperwork done, they deal with your creditors for you. You don’t have to worry about anything, and it doesn’t destroy your credit.. You have the option to sign up for their lawyers that help with negotiations, settlements and agreements. And everything is done via email, short little phone calls, and everything is just taken care of. Working with Freedom Debt Relief helped to alleviate a lot of discussions in my marriage in reference to finances. It relieves all the stress that goes along with it. I just wish they could put a bit more information on their portal and their website for people like myself who likes to keep updated on things. Maybe more notes would be a bit more helpful instead of me having to pick up the phone and talk to somebody in reference to what’s pending or how far we’re along. It’d be less stress for me.

Freedom got all my paperwork together and got a list of all my creditors. They explained how their process worked and asked what my income and my expenditures are to get things going. Everything's been working out well so far with them. I'm happy with the percentage and the payment plan they gave was better than when I was paying out monthly for my bills. I did some research on FDR and saw that it was accredited and that it was one of the better companies. I contacted them and had a rep who was brand new and was trying to learn about the company. He gave me honest answers and if he had questions, he'd ask a senior person. The payment plan they gave me is fair but sometimes, I struggle 'cause it's a little high. We pay bi-weekly so it's still a lot of money coming out. Also, everything is fast but if they can settle on a debt a little quicker, it will be beneficial 'cause the phone calls are horrible. Other than that, everything's great with FDR. We have four more debts to settle and we're paying on the rest that we have.

I was scrolling along and Freedom Debt Relief popped up. I looked into it and it sounded like a good deal. Customer service was very helpful. I had an automatic deduction and I raised it up, withstood it and made it through.. I never missed a payment. I was good to them and they were good to me. Everything was good. I’m all done with my program. Overall, they were very easy to deal with, and they were simple and straightforward. If you are willing to put your nose to the grindstone and pay it off, there is a silver lining at the end.

I called Freedom Debt Relief, not really sure if this was something that I wanted to do. After speaking with a representative, I felt completely safe and ready to do this to change my life. I went from paying over $1000 a month on my credit cards and loans, to paying $266 on a majority, and probably another $200 on my loans. So my payments have been cut in MORE than half. I am happy that I have made a decision that will get me out of debt. FDR is a good service. This do ask a significant fee for this which I guess is understandable. You might have their "partner" companies try to change your program into a loan. They will try to convince you that it will help your credit. It will BUT it will drag out this program more years Beware. And certain companies will sue you while you are on this program (Discover). Keep this in mind when you are considering. It will save you in monthly costs, charge off all of your accounts and possibly end up with some judgments.

I was on the internet looking at other stuff and I happen to see Freedom Debt Relief. I called them. From what was explained to me, they would work at a discounted schedule with the people that we had the accounts with and would hopefully negotiate them down and have to do it that way. The reps were all very nice. They were very courteous, and they did a fine job. But if I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t do it. I did not fully understand the program or it may not have been fully explained to me, but to me, we're probably gonna end up in worst situation than where we were before. Our credit has been completely destroyed, and we don’t know what our fee is that’s been charged to us. And this bank comes in all of a sudden at the end of all this stuff now. They're coming in as a savior and they're gonna make it just one payment and make it easy for us with about 75% interest.
I'm not really happy about that because they talked about how our credit rating was bad, that’s why we had a high interest, but we didn’t. Our credit rating wouldn’t have been that bad had we not let our bills go so long. I feel like it wasn’t my fault that my credit was destroyed like that. It is, but it isn’t. I was persuaded to do that. Freedom Debt Relief is doing their job and I know that’s what they do. Now, everything is paid off and I don't know what we owe. I know what we have paid in over the past year. I have everything in writing and what we've paid off. The only thing I don’t have is our fees and what this bank is gonna charge us on all of this stuff. Unless the fees are twice the amount of what we owed, then we should owe a whole lot of money, but I know the fee is gonna be outrageous.
I can see what I have paid, but I was waiting for them to contact me. I had emailed the lady that’s supposedly took over my account on where we go from here and what can I find out on what and I owe, and she came back with me that she didn’t have that kind of information, but she would try to find. So, I'm thinking she isn’t in control of our account, and probably nobody is. It will be passed around and we'll be owing thousands of dollars. But we signed the deal, so we're obligated and there ain’t nothing we can do about it.
Freedom Debt originally showed that we could possibly owe up to $18,000, and I can't see where we owe that much unless the fees are just the nominal. And they haven’t done anything. They didn’t negotiate any fees. I did. The people that we owed money to sent me letters, and that’s all they agreed on. So, I don’t see where Freedom Debt did anything. They did maybe two of them, but the rest of them came in from letters from the creditors.
We just negotiated our last deal last week. It should be now that the bank is gonna gonna start taking money out of our account monthly and get it paid off. So, I'd like to know what we owe, which I'm sure is gonna be a tremendous amount. I figured that on what we had negotiated and paid what we have paid in up to this point, we would have paid all of those off when we should have about $1,000 leftover. Now, that is just on the accounts. It doesn’t include the fees or the interest. I feel like we've already paid the account. We paid one of them off before this bank ever got involved. So, I'll just wait and see. If it works differently, I'll have a whole different attitude, but I can't see it working any different than being charged an outrageous amount.

I researched initially and I noticed that Freedom is the best one. They’re now helping me out with a couple of credit cards that got out of hand. The guy I talked to at first was Jeff and he said I can always call him any time I want. He was very knowledgeable and he actually gave me some options, either go with a loan or go with the way I’m doing it, and he was very helpful in helping me decide. In fact, the people at Freedom Debt Relief were all nice to work with.
I’ve only paid into the program for a couple of payments so far. It’s kinda fresh still but they give me pretty good feedback. They also give you a graduation date when the whole thing is over with. They gave me a due date of April 2021. At this point, they already settled with one credit card. They saved 7,000 bucks and there were only 11 payments in that. Then I’m sure they got their reasoning why but the only question I have is why they haven't settled the other ones yet. They already went through this loan thing too. I got approved for a loan to help out with this thing. Also, the income tax is coming in and I’m wondering if they’re gonna take my income tax refund from me. That’s the only thing that concerns me.
Otherwise, I've felt very comfortable working on this program. I’m very pleased with it. When you download your dashboard, you can talk to an agent any time you want as long as they’re open. Sometimes, I’ve gone on there and tried to ask a question, and a little thing would pop up saying they’re not in the office until 9:00 am. But as soon as they’re in, they’re very helpful in answering any question I want to know.

At first I was skeptical about doing this, I see how the program works. I just wish that I would have went directly to Freedom instead of a second party. That’s my only regret. The reason being, the person who I spoke with, we went over all of my credit cards. I thought every one of the cards I surrendered was accounted for. Then the ones I know for a fact were included. This caused for my monthly payment to be higher.

Freedom Debt's rep, Sean, was the first who got me set up with them. My husband passed away and we had to do some rebalancing. Sean was more than helpful. He was very friendly. At a time when I had to actually relinquish control of my debts, I was already feeling low for not being able to pay them. Instead of feeling judged, I felt relief. Sean kept telling me that I was doing something about what I owed and that I was not ducking the debt.
Another gentleman whom I spoke with more recently was very helpful. He told me to get back to Freedom and they would do what they can. He was asking me if I wanted to forego the program. I asked him if I could have the weekend to get my thoughts together. He told me sure and that I should just give them a call back. That rep was great.

My wife read about FDR and about what they did. And she picked them out. The counselor called us and picked out the cards. There were 14 of them so far, we have two that have been settled. However, we’ve been getting a call from a guy named Hanna. He says he’s a sister company of Freedom and he wants us to take out a loan to pay off faster. We don’t trust him though. Also other than us going on the dashboard, we haven't heard enough from FDR. They have helped us greatly. We’re happy and well satisfied with them.

Freedom was able to answer all my questions without lying or BS, and nothing was hidden. They were upfront with me on everything, and they didn't just keep saying, “When we get into it, we’ll see.” Every question I had, they were able to answer without some off-the-wall reason. It was “Yes, hello,” and if they couldn't do something, they’d tell me upfront that they couldn’t do it. They told me upfront the process was gonna take a while, depending on how things settled and how much money was in the available funds.
The payment plan worked. It fit what we could do. We knew what we could do, and they told us that it was better for things to go a little slower and not put ourselves in a bind to try to make it happen than it could possibly happen. So we didn't get ourselves in a bind. They didn't allow us to, and they asked us what we would be comfortable and be able to deposit. We’re doing ours every other week, so we’ve never been in a bind. It’s been something that we knew would be there and wouldn’t have to scrape pennies together to make it.

I found Freedom Debt Relief on the internet, and over the others, this one's very well received. The creditors that had called me did not follow up at all once I said Freedom Debt Relief. They've been taking care of us very nicely. When I ask questions, they answer those immediately. They also give me some really good advice. I've been in their program for about a year now and I got another three to go. And so far, I've seen some really big changes. I'm an older person, so for us, it's just perfect. They've done very well for us, and I would recommend them to anybody.

I was able to cut the monthly cost of payments by more than half of what lenders charged and also reduced amounts owed to levels without outrageous interest on top of everything. The process takes time, but at least progress is being made. The option offered can save you money and end the threat of having to declare bankruptcy.

Freedom sent me a packet with a bunch of literature on how the program all worked, and I looked it over. I decided to do it. But I didn't realize that while all this was going on, there were more and more late charges being added on to what I owe. By the time they got it settled, they made it look real good. And it was good, but it wasn't as good as I thought it was gonna be. But they were always easy to deal with. They explained as well as they could.
The only real complaint I had was on what they call the dashboard. I tried all for several weeks. It shows you what you've paid into it and I wanted to see where I was at. I was gonna send some money, and I wanted to do it online. I didn't wanna call and bug people. I tried three times and they finally said that I needed Google Chrome instead of regular Google. Every time I went on it, I got the local library site because I had it once before, but it would automatically go to that after I signed up with it. And I couldn't get out of that site to get on to the Chrome. I couldn't find FDR again, and I couldn't go on this dashboard. But their people were good. I'm pretty well satisfied. But I'm not dealing with them now since Consolidation Plus took all the accounts from Freedom and lumped them into one payment.

Freedom had my mother's recommendation. Her dealings with them made them seem like they’re a reliable company. I went with them and everything has been great so far. Their reps answer all of my questions and they’re very professional and flexible. They’ve already settled two or three of my accounts and I only have a few more. My debt consultant has been great to deal with. In the beginning when we were first getting set up, if I had any questions, I’d email her and she’d get right back to me. It has been really easy.

I came across Freedom Debt Relief and tried them out to consolidate my credit card debt. But I'm worried that I never get the statements. I don't have a clue how far I am in the program, which is why I'm calling, but I could never get ahold of my consultant. Other than that, the process has been working really well up to this point.

Updated on 04/28/2022: Couldn't ask for the best service ever. I was not sure when my bills was overwhelming me so I'm glad I did call Freedom Debt and I have come a long way having my bills resolve. So I would advise anyone that need help call today.

They actually added to my debt with their fees. They settled for the full amount I owed and still charged me thousands in “settlement fees”. They took advantage of me and I am still paying the price. Their customer service doesn’t help and although they say they have “changed their policy” they will not reduce my fees.

Freedom Debt contacted me and their rep was awesome. He explained everything to me. I asked him if I could go on automatic deposit and he said of course I could. I told him we had a deal and within a month or so, they had already closed one or two of my accounts. They're great and I really enjoy doing business with them. I had overwhelming debt. A friend who had been working with Freedom for a little over a year was very happy with them. I went with Freedom as well and I like the professionalism of their rep. He was friendly and he listened. Opening the account was easy. They took my bank account information and gave me an exact amount that was going to be coming out every month. It was a big difference from paying what we had been paying out in monthly payments, which was close to $900 every month to $200 every month, it really freed up a lot.
However, it was also scary because going from paying our bills to not paying our bills was difficult for us. Still, it was necessary. We've gone along six or seven months and we already have two of our accounts paid off. Emotionally, working with Freedom has given us security in knowing that although we still owe our debts, they are being paid off. We are not filing bankruptcy and not paying our bills.

I applied with Freedom on the phone and the process was pretty fast and easy. They told me what I could pay, and I opted to pay more so I could get it through quicker. Whenever I call, I get somebody different if I need to talk to somebody. But now, they do it where I can just answer prompts to accept the settlement or not. So, they make it extremely easy. The first consultant I had was wonderful, and everybody I’ve had ever since has always been really friendly and helpful. I can also go right on my computer and put up my whole thing, and I’ll see where I'm at, what they’ve paid and what position I'm in. I've been on the program for about a year now and my credit score has gone up a little.

I was online and was reading some of the comments of somebody that was sent to us, plus one of my debtors recommended Freedom Debt Relief to me. We had a vision and a mission at the company I worked for and that was what Freedom did. The rep carefully explained everything to me, how they were gonna do it, what they were gonna do and what would be the outcome. If you had a question, the debt consultants would take care of it and answer your question. Before I did this, there were a couple of medical incidents and I carefully looked over it. I'm one of the persons who read testimonials of people that had had it before and so, that was what I went on. The debt consultants were professional and they kept to what they do.
I've been in the program for about a year and the quality of service has been good. More than that, the work ethic that they put into it makes me comfortable. A lot of people enter into these kinds of things like debt relief and it is not explained to them. But Freedom does and it's on a monthly basis. I’m retired and a lot of people who retire get between the retirement phase and other stuff. If you get sick or you get overwhelmed, this is what you look for. Based on what we read and everything about the other ones, Freedom Debt sounded real good. It was a great thing for us. They’re taking care of our debt and they’re doing a great job. The reps were very intelligent. They knew their jobs and had the right answer for anything we brought up. They walked us through everything. Also, we get constant emails, updates on the dashboard, everything. If I call, they answer any questions I might have, because we were new to it. And we had the snapshot on the internet where we could go and check on the dashboard and find out everything. They set up our payment plan to meet our budget. I have PTSD and it’s very crazy right now. Freedom Debt has actually helped me calm down from the debt, not worrying and make sure I can provide for my family. It relieved a lot of stress.

When I saw a Freedom Debt Relief ad on the TV, I just wrote the number down. Also, somebody else mentioned that they had used it too, so I thought I’d try it. The consultants were very informative. They helped me every step of the way. I had three cards and they put them together. They just gave me a number that I could afford, and we went from there. I had a lawsuit for my last credit card, and they went ahead and took care of that for me, so that was nice. Before, I didn’t know what I was gonna do. Freedom Debt Relief has been a godsend.

We had an overwhelming credit card debt. We applied with Freedom Debt Relief and it was quick and easy. They were very helpful.
