Great. Every one was helpful and kind and patient. I always understood what was happening. I appreciated being kept up to date on a regular basis. The texts were very helpful. The emails were very helpful. The phone calls were very helpful. From the very beginning I was treated like I was important.

I have called to get POA papers sent to these people but I only get that it's illegal for them to contact me at work. But I keep getting calls from same two collectors!! If these calls do not stop I will be out of a job.

Making progress on debt reduction. No calls from creditors, quick notification when a settlement is ready. Overall pleased with the program. Looking forward to having this behind me. Makes sense to eliminate the high interest rate on cards. Once everything is taken care of, I don't intend to use cards again.

I talked to a few debt relief companies and the way James from Freedom Debt Relief discussed what my needs were made me swing over to them. The way he talked to me about my situation because I was stressed and the way he eased my mind and let me know what they would do were impressive. Everything went smoothly. They let me cut my payment down in half instead of one payment, and I was appreciative of that because otherwise I could not have done it. The program was perfect. They stayed in contact with me all through the process and when they were ending, they put me in contact with their loan part of it so I could continue on. So, they never gave up. They said, “Well, you just keep on doing it this way,” and they gave me options. Everybody is paid and I’m still paying the loan off. They, overall, worked for me.

I just received my 3rd settlement since joining back in Feb. I have 3 more accounts left to be settled. My monthly payments are very manageable. It is nice to be to have some breathing room and know I can be debt free in 48 months and not 15 years.

I was looking for help and then I talked to a man there and we talked quite a bit. He explained the whole program and how it worked, and I thought that Freedom Debt Relief was something that I could handle at the time, so that was the one I chose. Every time that I have had to call customer service, I was hooked up with a person and that person stayed with me or passed me on to another if necessary. But every time, I have been pleased with how they handled my question and the fact that I was able to follow along and see that it was something that was working. I have two years left in the program, and I want them to continue the way that they have already.

Whenever I called them, they were very cooperative, polite, pleasant and helpful. I have four that are done, two are being paid and there's only one left to do. So, I'm rather satisfied.

I really can't say anything good or bad about the program since I have just joined. I however will say the representative has been very helpful and informative. The only thing that I was mis-informed of was that I was told that if I remove some of the creditors that my payment will be reduced, however when I spoke with the enrollment councilor I was told no the payment remains the same. So with that information I was disappointed.

It is taking much longer than was first proposed. However, they are diligent in their efforts to help us eliminate our debt. We were first told it should take two to three years but we've already been in it at least that long and are told we still need another year plus.

Working with FDR has been great. They're on time and they've been taking care of everything. Pretty much everything has been cleaned up but they're in contact continuously. When they reach a settlement, they send it to me and I have to agree to it before they agree to it. They also call to make sure that they're doing what they're supposed to do and if there's anything they can change. They're on top of it and their service has been outstanding so far.

I am happy to say Freedom Debt Relief is the program to be in to get out debt. The staff are very helpful and are there when you need someone to talk to. I was never a person with good budget and had revolving debt I could not get out of alone. They have help me to budget my money better. I started in 2016 and in 2020 I will be done with the program far less that I could do alone. I recommend them to anyone who would like to get out of debt. It is such a relief. I feel I can breathe again.

I called and asked how much my payments would go down to if I removed 4 accounts from my plan. I was given it would go down from $488 to $200. I based my decision on the $200 amount and removed the accounts. Now they reneged on that amount and my payments will remain at $488 until July at which time I’ll have $58 a month to live off of. In July they will go down to $300 a month. I was put on a 4 year plan because I couldn’t handle a 2 year plan but the Litigation lawyers are negotiating creditors with a 2 year plan instead. Sorry I went with Freedom.

Everything started very good but as time went on the communications started to go down. I had a total of 5 people working with me through the process. It became a problem to reach someone. But we got through it. I would recommend Freedom to others.

The reason I went with FDA is because of the commercials on TV. I didn’t want to file bankruptcy, but should have. My monthly income is $766 and after my Medicare, it’s $667. My payment to the loan sharks is $455!! The interest is nearly 24%! Your ads say the monthly payments are “affordable”. I have asked for a reduction in my payment so I can “live” at all. No one got back to me. PLEASE look into my file and see what can be done so I CAN afford these monthly payments. How can your outfit be legal? :-( I would VERY MUCH appreciate a reply via email as I no longer have a phone and go to the library to check my emails. Thank you. Colleen **

A friend of mine used Freedom Debt Relief several years ago and I remember her telling me that she had a very good outcome, which was why I chose FDR. And whenever I call to find out where I am, I usually get the information that I need. Everything has been looking pretty good, but I’ve been getting letters from attorneys. They’re saying that American Express is filing a suit against me for $6,000. I’ve turned the debt over to FDR and I didn’t know that I would be getting a letter from attorneys to represent me for something that they are handling. I’m not gonna like it if I get summoned to go to court. I don’t have the time and the energy to get up and go several miles away to a courthouse.
I’m also wondering if I could pay less per month. After my husband died, I have this big $280 payment, plus a car loan and everything else. I understand that that’s what FDR needs for me to pay per month to get to the end of this debt, but personally, if I could pay less per month, I’d feel better. I know the account would go on a little bit longer though. Overall, I’m satisfied with FDR, except when the lawsuit with American Express happened.

Freedom Debt made an unpleasant situation to be in much easier and always made me feel secure with any doubts and fears I had. I always felt that I was going to be successful with getting rid of my debt in a timely fashion. All of their advisors were so helpful whenever I would call with a concern. I have been please with everything you guys have done so far. But I was informed through credit karma that several of my creditors have send my accounts to collection and that is affecting my credit. I never received any information stating my accounts were send to collections. Should I dispute this accounts.

Well I’ve just started the program but I will say that this first month the financial burden of not paying all the creditors just paying FDR the one payment has been such a relief! I feel like I’ve got a little breathing room! Now I can concentrate on getting my savings built back up and getting debt free!

Updated on 04/07/2022: I have graduated from the Freedom Debt Relief (FDR) Program and have settled all my old debt. The Program is GREAT! I feel such a sense of relief knowing that my debt has been resolved through FDR. I can now begin to build my savings and I have a fresh start. The Customer Service Team at FDR is the BEST. They worked with me to resolve my debt in a timely manner. Thank you for your excellent teamwork. I highly recommend FDR to anyone struggling with debt.
Updated on 03/04/2022: The Customer Service Team is always available to answer my questions when I call or email them. When I originally enrolled, I was given an estimate of when my accounts would be settled. The representative I spoke with state it would take a little under 48 months to resolve my debt. He was very accurate in his estimation. I have managed to keep up with my biweekly payments and will complete my program on time within the timeframe I was told initially. Freedom Debt Relief is a great program and I highly recommend it to other folks struggling with debt. I was continually informed of the activity on my account through the Client Dashboard. I could see that bills were getting paid on time and always knew my running balances. Truly a great program with a caring Customer Service Team!

I am retired living on a limited budget. I started using my credit cards to keep up with my daily needs as well as my medical needs. When the credit cards increased their interest rates I found it almost impossible to keep up with their minimum payments. I heard about FDR through an ad and they have been able to clear most of my debts. In less than a year they have been able to settle 3 of my debts and are fastly working on my remaining debts. Happy? Absolutely! It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I highly recommend them.

It would be nice to know which accounts are finished and which will be done in 2020. All I see on my account page, are accounts in progress But I cannot put a name to their account numbers. I have no idea which credit card or bank is finished or partially finished. And what accounts are still open. The Clients Dashboard tells me squat. Just how much is left on accounts.

I think at this time if I knew what I do now about this program I would've just filed bankruptcy and taken my lumps. If you don't owe a lot this might be great for some, but if you have multiple creditors or a large amount research other options as this gets EXPENSIVE!!! I have almost doubled my original payments and I need to add MORE money to my account to cover settlement fees. Take the time to look at all of your options if you are looking at getting out of debt before signing up. Read ALL of the information!! I was emotional at the time of signing up with this program (just went through a divorce) and think I jumped into the fire. Remember no one does anything for free.

I have been with this program for about a year and a half and I do not recommend it. Their fees are too high and when you sign up they suggest to pay $12 a month to have a litigation group (NLLG) handle accounts that go into a lawsuit. What is asinine is that even though FDR fails to negotiate a settlement with accounts that are with a creditor’s Attorney, they still collect their astronomical settlement fee even though NLLG (which I am paying for) settles it. What they do is just let the accounts that fall with a creditors attorney just sit there knowing that once they sue, NLLG will handle it and FDR will still collect a settlement fee. I am going to speak to an attorney to go over other options and may just pull the plug on this program. But, I am pretty sure they will not publish this because it is true.

Just bad service. Unwilling to work with you during a hard time. Needed to change my payment date this month and they refused to budge even though it it was by just 3 days. Will not get my recommendation. It’s just sad since they started out well but now I haven’t no reason to not believe the other things said about this service.

They have been very good about answering any questions that I have had and set my mind at ease. So far this agreement between us has gone pretty smooth. I received letters in the mail for legal representation and I quickly emailed them to the support team at FDR. The support team got back to me next day and they informed me that if I subscribed for legal service from FDR, I will be taken care of! That seriously gave me peace of mind!

Original Review: I'm a year into the program and although things are moving a lot slower than I had anticipated, every time I have a concern or receive a letter from a creditor (and the letters have stopped except for 1) I call or email and always get an answer, and what I'm told becomes a reality. I had never been late on a payment and this has put my anxiety on the highest level, but things seem to be working out as I have been told it would, so I am very pleased with FDR so far.

I use Credit Karma to keep track of my credit scores, and I saw Freedom Debt Relief ad on there. I needed to consolidate some bills, so I reached out. I called and talked to them, and they seemed to be the best fit. They negotiate all with my creditors, and I am very pleased with the service and the program that they have me set up on. The payment plan was a fit for me. Once I sent in all the information on the ones I would like for them to handle, they came back and let me know what it would cost and if it would work. It was going to be every two weeks, which would pull it off. And I said, “Could we do it twice a month or on certain days,” and they worked with me on that. I pay twice a month and it is one set price, so it all worked out. I also loved my consultant. She seemed very knowledgeable about the whole program and she was very helpful. Overall, working with them has made it a lot easier in that I have a little extra a month to live on.

I like their policies better when I was reading up on different ones. The program, which I'm at least half way, was good. They helped me get out of debt faster. So the lady that helped me helped a lot. She was super friendly (on my last call) BUT, everyone else I have talked to have honestly been really snobby towards me and angered me. Also the fact that I've paid you guys enough to settle my debt with one of the accounts but you guys let them garnish my checks and then also took money from me leaving me with $50 to pay rent, buy groceries, buy insurance, etc. has been insanely heart breaking. I make enough that I shouldnt be broke on payday.

Freedom Debt Relief was referred to my by someone and everything has been good. If I call and have a question, they give me a response in a timely manner. They have arranged any type of payoff that they could at the time, so everything seems to be positive so far. They stayed within the budget for the payment plan, and they set it at a reasonable amount.

They do not proactively settle accts. They wait for the creditor to contact them. They charge a monthly maintenance fee. Your balances continue to accrue fees until settlement. Their percentage for settling each acct is a separate charge. They arrange payments rather than lump sum to pay each acct. Refer to BBB website. If you sign up with them go through the legal jargon rather than letting them rush you through the process.

The person I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable about the Loan Consolidation procedure offered by FDR's sister company. I explained my reasoning for wanting to halt the process, and the agent thoroughly explained why people took the loan, and why it was good for them. He sent the loan group a cancel email, and assured me it was done, that no further action need be done by me. FDR once again showed me ya'll are a professional company doing business "the right way".

The lady who helped me was patient, efficient and friendly. She explained which accounts are settled and the balance owed on the remaining accounts. She also told me how many payments were made on closed accounts and how many it would take for each bill to be paid off and the total remaining payments timeframe.

I found Freedom Debt Relief online and their people were very nice. They were very willing to answer anything you had to say. However, there were a few things that happened in the experience that I was not aware of until I was in it. They say, "You don't pay anything until your debt's settled," and then they get a percentage. Whatever they settled for, they just got too much money as far as their commissions. They based it on how much they saved you. If they don't get a good result, then you don't save a whole lot of money, and they get a bigger commission. Let's say, your debt is 10,000 and they settled for 6,000, then they would say they saved you $4,000, so they get 30%. I thought the settlement included the commission.
They save you 30%, and then they tack on their commission charges, and then you're back to what you owed to start with. I thought, "Well, okay. I'm saving 50%." But, I don't really save 50%. They say, "We can save you 50% on your debt." Well, if they save you 50% of what you owe and then tack on 30% commission, you are just saving 20%.
And then they will say that some of the creditors they dealt with got a lawyer and so I needed to settle. I said, "Wait a minute. I thought I'm paying you $12 a month to be my lawyers to settle for what I felt was fair, not just to take what they offered because they get a lawyer. I thought I had a lawyer too." I never got to use that lawyer thing and it costed me $12 every time I made a payment. They did nothing for me. When I did ask them to do something, they said, "We can't fight them because they've already got lawyers." I said, "Well, I thought that's why you help me to get a lawyer." They didn't wanna do that. They said that I might not get the results I wanted.
I was very disappointed in some of the settlements that they had me take, and they said it was my choice. I felt like some of the stuff they said was a little misrepresented as far as actuality. I am still struggling because I'm paying $327 a month, and that is pretty much what I was paying in debt. But the difference is that it stopped the phone calls.
Once I got in the program, they told me to stop paying them. I, however, paid and paid and I was current on everything I owed. But the very fact that it was taking so much of my money every month to get them paid, I felt I was drowning. And in the sense, it helped me because they are getting their money, and I don't know what it is going to do in the long run because I'm not familiar with what could happen, except that they said that once I settled all that stuff and I went with consolidation, then I had to claim all the supposedly savings that they saved me on my income tax. That means I have to pay more money. So, it's a no-win situation. It was not exactly what I thought I was getting compared to what happened.
I got out of it and I went with Consolidation Plus. I'm just paying so much a month now trying to get over it. So, I ended up going from $200 and some a month to $300 and some a month, and I don't know how long I've been paying on that, probably over a year or so. It just wasn't all as they said it was gonna be, and I don't think I'd recommend people to go that way. It was too much of a hassle.

Since I started four weeks ago I couldn’t start my online account even after several calls. The FDR customer service representative don’t know how to solve the problem. When I tried to create my account a message pop up saying that I already have an account. When I try to request a pw reset a message pop up saying that there is no account associated with that email. What is the problem they say that sent an escalation request but nothing happens. I’m getting really mad with this because at the beginning you offered a lot of things but now I feel that you don’t care.

Very easy to follow and comprehend. The easiest part this program is not paying the credit card company. I am hoping that you know what you are doing. This is very dangerous and risky. I worked very hard to get my credit to 750 only to see it go down to nothing and possibly go to prison.

Updated on 3/24/2020: As we entered into the settlements, which is now three out of four, we were confused. We found we were spending more than what we were putting in. My husband being the math-head went to work to see what was happening. He loves his math a and gets so excited. I got up at 7 in the morning and he and says to me, they nailed it. We still now have a few months before the first our first settlement reached its final payment. He went through 3 or 4 different scenarios and realized that even though we were losing on a monthly basis, by the time the first closed there was still enough money left and then the money going back into out payment, which by the way was our highest payment, they dedicated account would start increasing enough to really make this plan work. These folks are totally awesome at what they do. Thank you all so much.

First Lady hung up on me. After I called back a guy answered. He was much more polite. I don’t remember her name but she was rude! This really isn’t the image I had of y’all. Other than that everybody else was nice and polite.

I was super happy with the customer service and have been since the beginning of freedom debt relief. My daughter needed a heart procedure and I already had plans to go away for the Christmas holidays so I needed to reduce my payment significantly over the next two pay periods. I pray each month that I am closer to ending this debt problem I got myself into. Even though the monthly commitment is not hard, I found myself in dire need of a little more help during this month. I called FDR and got a wonderful rep who allowed me to reduce my monthly commitment for this one month so I could feel some relief. It took a great weight off my shoulders. I saw this advertisement with Barbara from Shark Tank and I took the time myself to call and I talked to Michael. He was very helpful to me. I was stressing out badly and he de-stressed me. He was phenomenal with me. I wrote my letters out right away, like he told me to do. I took care of all that, because I was volunteering to get rid of this debt. My payment with them is $380 a month, but when in fact, it should be around $800 a month. It was a lot cheaper than paying the payments on my own. They worked a couple of accounts at a time, and I told everybody when they did call here to call Freedom Debt Relief. I would recommend them highly to anybody. I don't trust any of the others. I even sent a friend of mine to them and she likes them.

I was told that I needed C stop paying my credit cards for 3 months and then they would start negotiating on them for me. They negotiated one and I got it paid off. I negotiated another 1 and in the process patient paying it off but when it came down to my Discover card they never once tried to negotiate with discover. I had continuous calls. I had threatening mail saying I was going to be sued and it turned out I did get up getting sued. Then had to deal with a lawyer to get it fixed. It is now been resolved but not on Freedom's end. I would you just using a different company if you guys have discover because they'd never worked with them, never tried to and then wanted more money in the end. As soon as I be paying off this bill I have with freedom debt relief I would never use them again...

Five years of cancer treatment, living with my granddaughter whose husband had just left her with three small kids, credit cards at max, and panic! Somehow Freedom Debt Relief (FDR) found me, explained how they could help me, and got me calm again. They answered all my questions, set up a protocol I can understand, and gave us hope. So far I am very impressed. I received my first settlement offer of 50% in less than a month. If this continues to work this well I will be recommending to my friends and family. It seems like a better alternative to bankruptcy.

I didn't like the other company I was dealing with before. When I talked to Freedom Debt Relief, I liked them, so I signed up with them. It's a three-year program. They have a lot to offer. They've been so considerate and they listen when we have a problem. If I have a question, they actually look it up, talk me through it, make sure I understand it, solve it for me and tell me, I can call back if I have any other problems. They don't cut me short or pester me. They call you right away when you get a settlement coming. They then settle it. They're Johnny-on-the-spot and I recommend them all the time.

I only have the final 4 numbers of the account. They are 5510. Since we have not received any statements from Chase for a long time, we do not know what the other numbers were.
