Didn't pay one of my accounts on time. They filed a law suit against me. Trying to get it settled was awful. Never could talk to the same person. Very Unhappy. I had to keep calling And getting upset When I called. I finally Had to call The court House and got more answers from Them Than from Your people. Need to work on paying on time and customer service.

I would highly recommend a friend because FDR has really help me. This program took a lot of stress off me immediately. After I signed up with the program it was a relief right away. I was able to sleep and put my burdens away. Over the next 3-6 months I start receiving phone calls but guess what I knew that the calls would stop because of the support I got from FDR. Now I'm just about debt free thanks to this program. No more worries. Thanks to FDR.

I was underwater with my credit card debt and I had to do something. I looked online for companies that did that type of thing. I knew they were out there. Freedom Debt Relief came up and they had some good reviews. I called them and they seemed easy to work with. Right away, they sent me a folder in the mail with all their services. I signed up with them and registered my debt. It was easy to do and gave me relief right away. They were very sympathetic and informative, and told me how they did it. It seems reasonable to me. The program relieved an awful lot of stress for me and I always feel like I have control as I go through the program. I can always reach out, and they're easy to get ahold of. I can track my success on their website, so that's good. They're always there too.

I would recommend FDR to anyone who has trouble being in debt. They can help you. I was relieved not to worry about having to make payments when I didn’t have the money. They do what they say they will do and it causes less worry for you.

I have been pleased with the initial process of this whole program. However, in the past few months it seems things seem to be extending into the future. Several months seem to have been added on to the end of what was initially discussed with us. One of the accounts we initially enrolled has been sent to us for approval to enroll (AGAIN). In doing the math, I'm not so sure we are going to end up saving NEAR as much as we were led to believe we would.

Freedom Debt Relief took a list of my debts and tried to get them reduced. Everything had been reduced. Part of my reasons for my indebtedness was I got scammed. My husband died in June of 2016 and I was trying to find a way to make a little more money so I'd have a little bit more coming in than what I was gonna have. The next thing I know, everybody was gonna give me the world and I got taken.
I was gonna try to work online and one company was going to help me get that all up. Every little move they made cost money, money, and more money. I told them I didn't have any more to put in. They reached out and got me a "loan" through PayPal. Before I knew it, PayPal had put out money for something I never got. The company did not do what they were supposed to do with the money and I received absolutely nothing so I told them I wasn't gonna pay it. PayPal never bothered me about it since.
However, right now, Freedom Debt Relief reached out and they want to add that bill to my account because they have gotten it reduced, without me even telling them. I told them once that I wasn't gonna pay that because I didn't feel I had owed it and they left me alone about it. But now they're doing it again because it's getting close to the end of my payments. I’m not happy about that. Overall, Freedom Debt Relief is just trying to stir up business at this point. I hope that when I'm through, I'm through.
I’m not overly satisfied and yet I’m not 100% against Freedom Debt Relief either. They are doing good at what they're doing. But they’re reaching out to see if there’s anything else that they can get me on the line for. With the PayPal account, they notified me that I need to accept it or I'll lose it. I wasn’t gonna pay it anyway. I would talk to PayPal about it again, if necessary. I'm sure that PayPal and I could come to some kind of agreement. That's been well over two years ago.
Also, Freedom Debt Relief draws right out of the checking account on my payments. There was a time when I had to change my checking account and I notified them. They shut it down and at that point, they said that I left the program. I called them up and chewed them out about it. They got it straightened out. Anybody that goes with them needs to stay on top of what's going on.

Before we even decided to do Freedom Debt Relief, they had programs on YouTube. We listened to the people who are talking about them and we decided to go with them. Originally when we started, we had a certain amount. We listed all our credit cards then they went over them and they decided which ones needed to be taken care of right away. They're very professional and courteous. You call and you speak to whoever it is and when you have a question, they're always there to answer it. We haven't had any problems with them at all. From the time we started, Dan called, checked on us, and wanted to know how everything was going. Every time something was resolved, we would get a little congratulations note from him.
Freedom Debt Relief is great. We have another year with them and so far, it's going good. It started out when we weren't too sure what the process was going to be like. I never had to deal with something like this before and we kept on getting calls from the creditors. "You haven't paid this," and I explain to them. In fact, one of the credit companies said, "Well, we don't deal with Freedom Debt Relief." I said, "Well, I'm sorry. You'll have to contact them." It didn't happen right away. It turned out as time went on, they decided to wheel and deal.

UPDATED 01/13/2022: I could not be happier with Freedom Debt Relief. Everything they have explained to me has happened as they said it would. I have paid one creditor off I’m 6 payments from my second and have reached an agreement with a third. Highly recommend them.

Walmart is suing and I was served papers at my home. I’m in contact with NLLG SENDING supporting documents Karla asked for and returning them today. I’m not happy about being sued or having to use the attorney to get this resolved. I’d like Freedom to do more in regards to this kind of matter.

I love Freedom Debt Relief. The only reason I did not give them five stars is because one of my credit cards got sent to court and it was hard to get FDR attorneys to represent me. That process could have been made easier. Other than that I would highly recommend. They paid off one of my cards already and have two more in progress. If you are skeptical I was too at first but they are an honest company.

Only settled 1 out of 5 in a year. Pulled payment early causing me to bounce checks twice. Fees are outrageous. Regret ever signing up for this thing. I could have done more by myself with less money. Would not recommend anybody do this.

Updated on 01/18/2023: I can’t believe I did it. I really did it. FDR saved my life - I nearly filed for bankruptcy but they basically saved my life and financial future. I fell into extreme financial hardship and had to make difficult and unwise financial decisions to survive and that added up into serious debt later on. After doing some research I discovered FDR and the representative treated me like a person and came up with a plan for me to get my life back. After many years I made every payment on time and now it’s over. My debt is clear!!!! Thank you FDR. I’d recommend it to anyone I know struggling to find a fair and humane debt consolidation program.
Original Review: I was doing research on debt relief companies and FDR was the one that had the best reviews so I kind of went for it. My rep was great. When my friend fell into hard times, I referred her to him and he pointed her in the right direction even though they couldn't take her. FDR took a load off me. I almost was gonna file bankruptcy. They talked me out of doing that and I'm glad I didn’t do that. Knowing that they're taking care of my debt is nice.

Some of my accounts were not past due when I signed up. There was no attempt to settle them at that time so the payments and past due fees ramped up quickly and the amount owed is twice what I started with. When the accounts get settled at 50% of the total, it's what I owed in the first place. So no savings to me and my credit is negatively affected.

I had MASSIVE debt that I swallowed as the breadwinner in a divorce in a No Fault divorce state. It was either absorb debt or pay the ex-cash. That was NOT happening. FDR has helped me with being sued and they *handle* lowering the amounts owed for me. I have a reasonable monthly payment. I am GRATEFUL.

This program is very good. Since I signed up with them to pay off my debts, I am experience a lot of relieves from calls from debtors, late payments and charges, my credit score has become steady and it is going up little by little. I thank God I met the people. The monthly (I am doing the biweekly payment) is just a fraction of what I used to pay and it was very difficult for me at that time. I am worry-free now.

Freedom Debt Relief is awesome. I reviewed several companies and then had a conversation with a couple of them, and I liked Freedom Debt. You get to speak to somebody and you don't have to wait 45 minutes on hold. Anytime I have a question, when I dial the number, I talk with whoever. It’s not one specific person but they bring up the account and tell me what’s going on, or they’ll call me and say that they have to pay off for me. They’ll ask if they can present it to me or if I accept the offer. They also text me concerning that. Then, they have it set up where you go into what's called your dashboard. It’s for everyone who has an account and you can check what the status is on any of your credit cards.
FDR also have the attorneys on staff and they take care of things for you if you end up with a court order for one of them. I'm totally satisfied. I had to move out of state and they were nice enough to put a hold on my account. They did not take any payments until I got to my new destination and I was working for a month before they resumed the payment.

FDR has been stuck for months on the last, of many, settlements & keeps pulling money from my account even though I have way more money in the account even if the debt was paid in full without a reduci. Updated on 02/02/2021: I have a previous review and was contacted by the company. Two weeks ago I was supposed to be sent a check for a refund of a portion of the money that they took from my account and never settled any debts with. No check came. I contacted them again and was told that there would be a ACH deposit into my account today. No deposit. Contacted Joshua ** who told me that he would check on it and get back to me. He has not responded to my emails and has not answered the calls. I feel as though they promised this refund because of my review but are possibly trying to wait until the reviews are not relevant and just not give me the refund. This company literally has $984 that I have paid in, has offered to refund only $244 and I have still not received it. I started this process in early January and originally attempted to cancel in July 2020.
Updated from 01/19/2021: I placed a complaint online last week. The same day I received a call and email from one of their representatives. I had to keep repeating the story and he kept saying that there was no record of me wanting to cancel, even though I had information about the cancelation process, etc. At this point I have made it very clear that I wanted this program canceled and for at least some of my money back. He offers me in his words "a hundred bucks" out of $984 to settle this right now. I declined that because there is at lease $380 that their own representative cannot account for. I sent him an email requesting a more realistic settlement option, and have not heard back yet. However, I did receive a request for them to draft more money from my account to add to the program. I sent an email 2 days ago- and have not heard back from that last email. I will keep this site updated on where this goes. Thank you.
Original review: This company does nothing more than make any credit situation worse, by taking fees and doing nothing. They have taken $974 of my money, none of my accounts have been settled or even started and they cant even account for the money after being on the phone with them for 45 minutes. They have now told me to wait on a ledger from a different company- even though my dashboard shows all the transactions.
After transferring to the bank to get the ledger, I was transferred back to FDR and the new rep had no clue why I was on the phone, wanted me to repeat the entire issue and said that the notes from the previous rep were completely different than what I was actually calling about. I made it very clear that I did not want to be a part of this program in July 2020. They have continued to charge me and attempt to take funds from my account- while settling ABSOLUTLEY nothing. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY- THEY MAKE IT SOUND GREAT THEN YOU ARE IN A WORSE POSITION THAN WHEN YOU STARTED.

At the beginning, when I was set up everyone was wonderful and most everyone I spoke to on the phone were very nice and helpful. I feel it took longer than it should have to settle my accts, especially after I sent enough money in to cover my outstanding debts. When I called & questioned why t was taking so long it seemed to help. I feel as though it was being dragged on so Freedom Debt could make more money off of me. I'll be very glad when the last payment is made the end of January. Hopefully my account will be closed and I won't have to call and 'beg' for the money you have that needs to be refunded to me.

When it comes to taking care of something through lawsuits, they're very good at getting back and having it taken care of. I have three resolved and I'm still working on the others. FDR has been wonderful. They've kept up with all my creditors. They’ve let me know each step of the way which ones are being paid and which ones still haven't been paid. I like the way they have that website with one panel where you can go into it and see for yourself what's going on. However, I haven't spoken to anyone there since I started the program. I’ve kinda wished they would call every now and then to let me know what's going on, or if I could do anything different, or if I wanna add something on or take something off. But I can check on the panel and I kinda know what's going on. The program has been good. I’ve been pretty much relaxed and I feel I have more money in my pocket every month.

The young woman I spoke to was very professional, patient, courteous and answered all my questions even though I cut her off at times with my questions. She waited and answered me. I was a bit anxious and she alleviating my fear with answers to my questions. They tell you one thing and they do another. I bought someone in to the program. I was supposed to get 250. They take the money and they put it where they wanted to. They never let me know that they gave me the money or anything. They just took it and I paid a bill on my own. I didn’t ask for this. They are thieves.

I do recommend FDR. They’re a very reputable organization and I was very pleased about the whole experience. Every time I called with a problem, it may not necessarily have been solved to my satisfaction but they treated me with the utmost kindness and respect. I felt very comfortable calling them. You want immediate gratification as far as people calling you and threatening you. If you sign on to a debt relief program, you're hoping that you do have some sort of help, which I didn't get letters of lawsuits. But when you get threatening letters or threatening phone calls, FDR needs to be able to do something. They said that they couldn't do anything, that they give you ways not to put yourself in a corner with them. You follow them and hope that they come to a settlement.
They weren't clear about what I paid for them as far as the fees and I was quite surprised at the amount of the fees. But I was getting so much as far as peace of mind that things were being settled and regardless of how they were settled. I completed the program and I took a loan for the last few amounts. Now, I’m paying that off.

I was pleased at first and relieved to a degrees. Then it became clear that as I talked to different representatives, the figures and your info changed some. This was confusing. At the end, I wanted to pay out of FDR earlier than planned. This was hard to do and again very stressful. I almost thought I wasn’t going to be able to do it and to stop the $700.00 monthly payments. Also, I had a court appointment with Discover. I got in touch with FDR and this Acct went to McCarthy Law Firm. I thought they were handling this for almost a year and then I received another court appearance notification. This was a mess also. It has been resolved but I still have a case number, **, in the county court In Okaloosa County, Florida, a notice of hearing.

I got tired of making so many high payments monthly and decided it'd be a lot easier to consolidate them and have one lower amount a month going out. Plus around that time was also when my mother was diagnosed with cancer, so I needed to be able to have more money in my pocket. I majorly saw Freedom advertised around that time. I went with them and I just kept making my payments on time the whole time. During tax season, I would put more towards it. That way, I got done quickly because of it.
I received from one of the credit cards a pending court date, which never went through, and I had major interaction with Freedom Debt Relief to make sure that I didn't have to worry about any court issues. Other than that, I didn't have much of an interaction with them after the initial start. So far, it's been great. I graduated at the end of the last year and I’m waiting to receive the graduation packet in the mail.

I went looking for a debt consolidation company online, and I saw Freedom. I got in touch with them, got on the program and I'm still in it. Some of the reps are extremely nice. On the other hand, a few of them are rude and don't feel like working. They just wanna get rid of you. Everybody's different. I was talking to one of them about a certain issue, and he got upset. He acted like we were trying to rip him off. He was a very eccentric person. I don’t know how such a person like that got to deal with the public.

People get into situations and have bill collectors. All they want is the company that you're dealing with that it is owed to. But they don't realize the situation people get in that might interrupt or cause some type of distress and pain. That's where Freedom Debt comes in. They'll tell you in the beginning that if you get somebody that wants their money, don't try to reason with them or bargain with them. They said they could just contact them. That's what happens every time. I went on there. I just prayed about it and the Lord led me.
The debt consultant constantly tells me to go on, sends me updates, and tells me what papers they need and signatures. A hardship came about when I joined. I had to make some changes and there wasn't a problem with that. He just informed me that I would be in the program longer because the contract was a certain amount of money, and then it got changed. He was very informative about that. Since working with Freedom, my credit standing is getting done and paid down. It's definitely less stress. I went on and calculated it about two weeks ago. I'm in for the next six months and I'll be done.

Arthur was overwhelmed with debt. I called Freedom Debt Relief because we don’t have the money to pay what he used to pay. We’re paying a smaller amount. So, I have to call every month. When we're done, they always say, “Do you have any questions?” They’re very polite. Freedom Debt Relief will take a lot of the pressure off of you. They work with who you owe, and you don't have to deal with that. It's worth what they charge you.

Updated on 06/10/2021: I’ve been in the FDR program since last November. They have negotiated 4 accounts already. Very pleased with the progress since enrolling in the program. They are worth giving a shot to. You won’t regret it. I don't. My stress is gone.

After getting sued by one of my creditors. I feel the lack of services. I felt I went around and around in circles. Every time I called I got the run around. No one called me back when they said they would. It’s a horrible experience. Not happy with this company at all.

In as little as 4 months I'm already in a settlement with one of my credit cards. It feels great to start making steps forward. I absolutely was stuck, making $1300+ a month in payments and not budging anywhere with my debt. My brother recommended this program as it helped him. UPDATED 4/22/2021: Anytime I’ve called the reps are super nice and explain everything step by step in terms I can understand! I’ve lowered my debt and have received awesome settlements thus far! My credit is slowly improving as I complete each of the settlements. Highly recommend!

Freedom handles everything on my payments every month. I've been paying $604 a month. And I'm planning to increase so I can get out of debt quicker. There are three accounts already in progress and I got two more that they are gonna negotiate. They're very professional. They explained to me in detail how things work and how things are going, and they give me details when I'm gonna be out of debt, that I'm gonna be out of debt. And they keep me posted.

When I first called FDR, the people were extremely personable. They spoke to me like they cared. It wasn't like they looked down on me or felt bad about everything I was going through. They were sincere and made me feel at ease. They explained to me the whole procedure and what it is I had to do on my end. I was able to call them when at the beginning, I was so stressed out with the people that I was in debt with constantly calling me. They explained to me that I could refer them over to them. That helped me a great deal because they took all the stress away from me.
They worked with me to make sure that it wasn't going to be anything that I couldn't handle as far as the monthly payments that I was making. We spoke about all payments that I had, who all my debtors were and what the amounts were. I sent them the information on everyone that I owe money to. We went through each and every one of them and they told me how long it was going to take. If I didn't know I had any others that have crept up, I get a callback and they let me know. Through the dashboard, they let me know also what they're working with. Everything that I would see via email and the communication back and forth were great. I appreciate them very much. I'm receiving incredible experience with them and I am grateful that they are there.

Debt that is 30 years old and already remedied keeps showing up even after declining to add it. Accounts that are not mine keep showing up asking me to add it. Decline then and again they pop up. It’s a little concerning that my declines are not being listened to.

I was contacted shortly after I looked online. The process moved smoothly until technical difficulties arose, reps phone kept dropping the call. But we ensued and got through. Very polite and helpful. Customer Service rep when called response and interaction was very good. Thus far I have only been into dashboard once but found it easy to navigate and I am not too user-friendly.
