Helpful people gave us peace of mind. It's a good decision for us. We are older and our income dropped when my husband retired from being the pastor of a small church. He thought he would be able to replace at least part of that income. Thanks for your help.

At first it seem this was not going anywhere but as the days go by I have seen some changes. I see that all my accounts have a settlement date, now I am seeing some results. A person does get discouraged and just want to pay off their debts. I am very pleased with FDR. Thank you so much!

So far I am satisfied with the way that they have handled my credit card problems, they have already settled with one of my credit card companies! My agent had amazing customer service, he answered every single question we had and elaborating when needed. I asked to have forms mailed to me. Was told Freedom cannot mail forms. This is the only problem I have had. Other than that I have been happy with Freedom Debt Relief. When I call always get quick and polite answers.

There is no stress. FDR does everything to help you resolve your debt. I don't get phone calls from creditors. Any written threats, I can fax to them. All I have to do is to is stay timely on my payments. Although you are not rejected if you do. They just tell you what you can do.

I had received text regarding a problem with one of my settlements and there isn't enough to cover the monthly payment. I called because Freedom handles the $920/month so how could this happens. The person I spoke to looked into it and found it was an error on their part and would be resolved. She was so helpful. Her manner on how she spoke to me was excellent. It was a pleasure dealing with her.

Was summoned by court and had to pay entire and more of what was originally owed. Hopefully with Capital One and Merrick will get settled without court involvement. Was very pleased with NLLG help. They were very helpful and answered all my questions when I emailed them.

A friend of mine told me about Freedom Debt Relief, that she was with them, and they did a very good job for her, so she introduced me. I have a lot of credit card debt, I wasn’t working, and I was going through a really hard time with the passing of my father and some other relatives. It was a really rough year for me. So, I worked with Liz and she was perfect. She took the time out and talked to me about it, walked me through the process, told me what I needed to do, and that’s what I did. I was impressed with her respect, patience, and the time that she spent to ensure me that everything was gonna be okay. She told me to just do what they tell me to do and follow the procedure. She was amazing.
For the payment plan, they told me to go to the bank and pick out an account and give them the account to get their payment automated so they can pay my debt. I was 110% comfortable working with them and the quality of service is excellent. They provide me a peace of mind because so far some are settled that I have, and they collect all my credit card and they have been paying it because I’ve been paying them. I get back results from the bank or whosoever I have credit with and they say that some of them are paid off already. So, I see results. It made my life a whole lot easier because I don’t have to worry about five, six, seven, or eight payment per month. I would worry about one payment. And if somebody asks me about Freedom, I would say, “Go ahead. It will make your life a whole lot easier.” It was really great because I introduced other people to it and they’re also are getting results.

I was very happy with my experience until I sent in a creditor's letter and was told by you that it was a new debt and you were raising my payment. I gave you all my debts a year ago and do not see how it could be a new debt, and now the extra money coming out every month is a strain on my already strained budget. I am somewhat happy with the program, only wish it was clear that I would be paying a lot of money for the service itself when agreeing to sign on my debt. Customer service has been very helpful along the way, just wish we could eliminate surprises with clearer explanation upon enrollment.

Overall service is great!! I also have a lawyer working on my Discover card and NEVER AM I able to talk speak to her, it's always through emails... I understand they have a lot of people to deal with and CAN sit in front of their computer but me being a working person that doesn't sit in front of a computer all day would must rather talk on the phone!! Was fixed but was late to a job I need... just saying.

My husband passed unexpectedly and I found out that his life insurance was denied. So, I was having a lot of financial problems and had to make a choice to do what I did with my credit card. I got an advertisement type email from Freedom Debt Relief and they seemed to be fairer with me on the charges and how long it would take to pay it off. Their end results were better than other companies and they answered every question, no matter how silly it was. They helped me consolidate anything that I could. So, they were a big help. The man who signed me up was very helpful. He understood my position at the time and I was kind of hard to deal with. I was very distraught. He didn't know which end was up and he took his time. When he said he was gonna call me back, he did and it made all the difference.
Working with Freedom made my financial situation a lot easier. I only pay the 315 a month instead of that constant revolving door of paying the minimum payment on the credit card and then it doesn't even go on it. It just goes towards interest or late payments, and with this, I don't have a problem. There were eight cards and I only have two left. Freedom works out in my benefit and I would definitely recommend them.

I’m in $20,000 debt and I’m trying to get it off my back, and I decided to go with Freedom Debt Relief. I had a problem with one of the customer service rep. When I first got started, I didn't appreciate him at all because he'd tell me one thing, then there'd be something else. I was really upset with him. He gave me a lot of incorrect information. After that, I was ready to leave and go to somebody else, but I decided to stay. They told me I didn't have to deal with him anymore, so I started talking to different representatives when I called back. We finally got it straightened out and I didn't wanna work with him anymore. If I’m trying to deal with you and trying to take care of my business, I need a straightforward answer. I don’t have time to be playing games.
My account was moving when I first signed up, but in the middle part, that was last year, it wasn’t moving until I started taking funds out of my dedicated account. I had about $5,000 in there. But at the time, I didn't have money to buy food. I figured they got money sitting there and they were not working with it, so I might as well get funds out the dedicated account. I went in there three times. And that was when they started working with the creditors. I didn't like that part. Another thing, if you got a certain amount of money in the account, like $600, and Capital One is asking for $600, why don’t you just go ahead and give them the whole $600 instead of doing a structured settlement. The stuff that I went through wasn't right. I had worked with another company and they didn't do structured settlement. They had such and such in an account, and they gave it to the people to get it off my back.
Freedom got a bit stress off me, but I’m not too satisfied. They gave me an estimate when I first signed up. I was giving them at first $300 or $400. They told me if I'd give them $900 every month, I'd be out of debt in 2020. I’m a single mother on disability and I’m barely making it. So, I figured if I gave them the money, I would be out the program right this time. But that was a lie. Now I’m gonna be in it till 2023. They should be straight-up with me and tell me when I’m gonna be out the program. I'm giving them the $900 and it’s just sitting there. I told the people, “Since you’re not doing anything with the money, go ahead and take what you’re supposed to take out. I won't be sitting here starving.” And then I’m sitting here starving. On top of that, I had to get payday loans to get us something to eat and I shouldn’t be doing that. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody.

The communication with Freedom Debt Relief was good but they didn’t give me enough time to give them the papers. They only gave me three days and Citibank wasn’t working with them. I don’t know when the group’s gonna accept me so I might have to get my wages garnished from that place.

I looked at four different companies and checked online at Consumer Reports on who was the best. They said it was FDR and that made me pick them. I'm very happy with the service. They're taking my debt down and I'm satisfied with who I picked. Others may be as good or better but I don't have any bad issues with this company. I really like that they are always there and they always answer my questions. When I get a letter from a lender, I copy it and fax it to them. The only thing I would tell them to do would be to reply to those letters so I know that they got it. I keep a file, I've got copies of who delivered, and I wanna be sure somebody got them.
Other than that, they're really good on the phone and everything they told me so far that they would do, they've done. Their follow-ups are good as well. They also told me that the program could take anywhere from 12 months to 24, depending on how much money I give them to clear my debt with. I started about six months ago so I got another at least 18 months.

Freedom Debt Relief had been recommended by a couple of friends. Whenever we called in, everyone seemed to know what they were talking about. After the first few months, I was getting a little worried about things. I was wondering how things were gonna go. They made it sound like within a couple of years, everything would get paid off, and I didn’t know how that was going to happen. They really couldn’t explain to me how all the late fees kept bottling up and gaining up on us and how our monthly payment was going. But now, since I've gotten the loan, things are going okay. Today, we just got to where one of the big credit cards was getting paid off.

My mom recommended Freedom Debt Relief and said really good things about it. I said, “Okay, let me do my own research.” And from what I’ve seen either from reviews, like different places, it seemed like overall they are trying to help out people. In comparison to other places they would say, “Well, you have to pay this upfront first and pay all these fees.” Thus far, I’ve had a really good experience with it. They sent me the emails on any updates if they had reduced the settlement or whatever it is. I really like the fact that I am able to see that and check everything online. I know where I stand. And if they have any concerns, I get the occasional emails like, “Do you have, by any chance, any other debt?” That was very easy to communicate.
I’m still making payments on debts but there’s two out of the four that have been settled. I know a friend of mine as well who is possibly planning to go through the process. I recommended her to Freedom Debt Relief already. I’ve told her about the ease of the process. People get very overwhelmed with the process. But I feel FDR breaks it down very nicely to where it’s not long hours on the phone speaking to somebody. It’s not overwhelmingly a bunch of information. They made it short, simple into what needs to get done, and it gets done.

Very disappointed in the whole process. Worst mistake I made in my life is to do this, they hold onto your money and don't pay off your debt at a like they should. I feel they hold onto your money. All of last year made all my payments and only cleared one debt for 2-3 thousand dollars. And have over 6-7 thousand worth of payments I've made. Don't know why they couldn't clear one whole debt with what payments I've made. Instead making 85 dollar payments for a year. What a waste. I wish I had never had done this. Told anyone who would ask NEVER do this. Not worth it. Put your own money aside and work with your creditors to pay it off yourself. They don't make that great of a deal with them. You could do the same.

I am having trouble getting into my dashboard. I change the password still doesn't work. The gentleman that helped me told me we had over a year and half left and when I called last fall they told me the end of this year. I was a little disappointed. I can't get into my dashboard so I have to depend on what I am told. Not happy about that. The gentleman was nice and helpful just not what I wanted to hear.

When enrolling with 3 debts, I was aiming for a long 3-4 year settlement, but after 15 months, 2 of 3 debts have agreed to settle. The great thing is my largest debt was one of the 2 settled. Of course I will continue paying monthly until I have paid off the entire amount.

I am very pleased with the settlements that FDR has done for me especially since they have made a payment plan for them with getting a fair reduction in my current debts owed. This leaves other money on the table to do other settlements while these are being paid which is smart as I have a number of other credit cards owing.

I came into a financial bind when my car needed repair and I was looking to defer one payment. The agent was very polite and was able to defer the payment; however, it wasn't tacked on at the end like most deferrals. Instead I gad to increase my payment each month for a year which for someone that works 2 jobs robbing Peter to pay Paul paycheck to paycheck it has made each month a bigger struggle. I did get my car fixed but now worry about my financial situation for the next year.

It took me about 5 seconds to agree to a proposal I received from FDR a few days ago. The proposal was a settlement figure and payment plan for the first debt I enrolled in FDR. I am amazed that this happened in such an efficient way in a few short months. In all my dealings with FDR, I have been treated courteously, respectfully and kindly. Every direction I have been given has produced the result promised.
It is both embarrassing and a heavy burden to find that one requires outside help in resolving debt. I am 74 years old. I have not been in this situation before; I never imagined being in this situation, ever!! But here I was. Unavoidable circumstances made the manageable debt I had been carrying into an unwieldy, unmanageable burden within a few short months.
Receiving this first, manageable, settlement proposal has lifted some of my embarrassment and boosted my spirits. Carrying debt creates a heavy burden, a burden that is not only financial but also a part of one's spirit. FDR's negotiations and reliability have returned my sense that I can and do make good judgments. I liked Freedom Debt Relief's program. Everybody I’ve ever talked to have always helped me and answered all my questions. I was anxious wanting to get things paid a little quicker, but I understand that they have procedures on how to deal with paying the people. As for me, when you make the deal for a small account, I'd like it to be paid in full instead of breaking up payments. I never really thought about the pay-off on small accounts until I realized I have one that had made an offer. We made a deal to make the payments on it, but it seemed to me that it should've been paid in full and be through with it. I didn’t see the necessity in breaking it down when it was only $200 because the money was there. We should've just paid it off and be through with it.
I was a little distressed working with Freedom thinking if it was gonna work for me or if I was going to like the way it was done. But it has been okay. I got through that. Whenever I had a question or concern, I just called and they replied back, and we went over it. One time, I had a mess with my account. I called, and I was a nervous wreck thinking that was gonna mess me up with the program. I thought I missed out on the program because I had a return, but we got all that cleared up easily. With Freedom, I don’t have to worry about the debt collectors calling me, and worry about shelving money trying to pay them, because I got them to take care of it. I would recommend Freedom. In fact, I’ve already recommended them to other people.

I found Freedom Debt Relief through the AARP and the reps were very nice. We’re both always in contact. After I got FDR, I started getting calls from people because I wasn't paying them but they finally stopped. The worst one was American Express. They called the most and they got me on Suffolk County Credit sending my account to a jury.

Updated on 11/07/2022: From the very beginning FDR gathered all my debt information and told me what I would have to pay each month and when I could expect to be debt free. I followed their guidelines and my debt was resolved at less than half the amount within the time frame they told me to expect. I would recommend FDR to anyone with credit card debt.
Updated on 06/23/2022: Freedom Debt Relief got my creditors to cut my debt to virtually half of what it originally was and they have resolved a number of cases already and I should "graduate" on or very close to the original schedule they told me would apply. I am very pleased with their work and would definitely recommend them to others..

This has been a great experience so far. Very easy and a big relief to me. It was very hard to me to miss payments but I couldn’t keep up. I wanted to pay my bills but they were piling up on me and I was jogging in quicksand. This way I could pay and have my bills manageable!

I am grateful that FDR is giving their best to resolve my debts. However, I hope in the future they would be able to assess if the creditor would not be willing to negotiate, and therefore avoid filing a lawsuit which happened to me. This is something burdensome.

Received the representation as advertised when a creditor sued me: I contacted FDR and the litigation team contacted me and so far has been handling things causing zero stress on my end. They have also recently completed negotiations on my first deal, saving me 40%. The only neutral comment I have is that there are numerous affiliated companies, too many....however, it does seem they all are doing good work therefore I suggest just providing effective communication indicating the specific affiliated company that will also now begin making contact.

They are working on negotiating my loans and have settled a few successfully so far. In the initial enrollment I was under the impression that I would have a specific person assigned to work with me, but I am now in a pool of anyone who answers the phone. I also realize their need to make money and I did agree on the payment scale but for a couple of the loans, the Freedom Debt Relief got more money in payments than the creditor. I feel that they could make the hardship even less and have more satisfied and successful clients. Overall they did what they said they would do.

As I was looking towards retirement, & started assessing my finances, it hit me that I had more than $40K in credit card debt! I had been struggling to pay off first one, & then another, but never seemed to make it. Then I had several episodes of unemployment that set me back even more. Freedom Debt Relief showed me how to pay off my debts without having to file bankruptcy. I was going to have to work beyond my full retirement age by a couple of years (plan, people, plan!!) but it was going to work.

I have been using Freedom's service for over a year now and it has worked out well for me so far. Their timing was good. They happened to hit me with some information at the time that I was looking for kind of a way out. I talked to the people, and then I found out what I had to do, what they were doing and how they did it. And I think I made a good decision. I spend a lot of money each month but I have seen a good bit of progress already. They have taken care of numerous accounts. They start with the small ones and work their way up, and they have been getting very good discounts. They cut my debts in half or down as far as they can. They call me when they get a settlement so I can respond to it and wipe it out. You should really listen to what they say and understand that you have to make decisions pretty quickly when the time comes, but it's always in your favor.
It has been pretty simple and I don't have to do anything. I just send them money every month and they deal the pot with it and negotiate whichever loan they find is in the best interest. They got some done right away and others are in the works right now. They're getting up to the bigger loans. If it goes as they proposed that it will go, I will eliminate a lot of my debt over a period of time by paying the individual debt holders a settlement. When you start with Freedom, they tell you about your graduation date and that it can change. If one or two debts disappear, your graduation date might come down, like, it might be three years instead of four years. They say that the graduation date represents the fact that they get you taken care of. And that always sounded good to me. At worst, I'm looking at four years.
Also, my credit was just absolute garbage. My kids and I got hacked and different things happened that almost wiped me out. But I'm still afloat and making money. I worked hard for my money but I certainly had a bunch of it tied up in credit card debt. And Freedom is helping me polish it off. Right now, I am a satisfied customer and I would certainly recommend them. I'm that confident that what they're doing is good work.

I’m not sure that I can honestly do the amount of $975 every month. Yes I did eliminate the Discover account from the dashboard and was to pay $475 a month But was told that it went back to the $975 this month but I d I don’t know or remember that was to happen. I have til October to pay off my Discover for $391 a month but that now set me back on my other payments a month. I called about but honestly didn’t know that it was to go back to the $975! I’m a widow and I’m on a fixed income and I got too much debt for my income. At first, I wasn’t too sure about doing Freedom Debt Relief. I had signed up, but then I got to thinking and canceled it. Then I said that I better not cancel it because I couldn't do it on my own. That was when I called back and got reassigned. I got upset because my credit score went way down. But now, one of my four bills is paid off. They also had another settlement, so I have two more. One is in the process and the other one is on hold.

I enjoyed Freedom Debt Relief's enrollment process because they gave me all the information before I got into the program and sent me a lot of brochures about it. They also gave me the number on a website that I could go in and get all the information that I needed. I could afford the payment plan that I got. And the more I paid, the faster I can graduate. They should keep me informed more though. I was impressed that the bill people never call me. I got most of my bills paid. The last time I looked, some were resolved and I have one in negotiation. I'd tell someone going through the program to hang in there. It’s the only thing that will resolve debt.

My mother had passed away and I was surprisingly left with quite a bit of debt. And I was trying to work that out when my husband decided he was gonna divorce me. And so, he left me with debt. I was making sufficient money, it was just that it was emotionally so hard that I was missing when I needed to be sending in payments and my bookkeeping got sloppy. And Freedom Debt Relief just pitched right in and helped me. I had to take time to heal and I didn't wanna leave things undone, so they told me they would see to it, that everything got paid. It was a little bit different than what I had anticipated, but I should be pretty close to my graduation date now, so I'm good.
The way they supported me through the payment plan was all right. It left me with a peace of mind. I knew that they would handle it legally and the way it needed to be done and things were gonna get paid, and that was what mattered to me. It gave me time to get past the divorce and my mom. Then just this last year, I was able to give them enough cash to go ahead and pay everything out. However, that's the part that caused me to question them. They said if I paid extra, I could graduate early. And I was a little disappointed that they didn't just get it done. It's been six months since I gave them the money that they told me it would take to get cleared out. It was $4,100. And I was assuming that it was gonna be done. I was told by November, then I was told by December. I hate to call in January 'cause I don't wanna find out that they haven't got it all taken care of.
But since working with them I've been less stressed. It's because I don't have to be constantly reminded every month when I write those checks, of the fact that we thought there was enough money to pay for mom and nobody else helped, and so I got stuck with it. And I don't have to live with the constant reminder every month what I went through with the divorce. I can move on. And that's not being irresponsible. Because as soon as I could get all the money together, I did what I could do to graduate.

The rep was very professional and polite. She really explained everything to me and how it worked. I was impressed with the program. Everything has been good. I wish I had have asked sooner if there was some kinda way that the debt could just be paid off and I'd pay somebody else, but maybe I needed to be in it for a while before that was suggested to me. But I did do that, and then, I got introduced to Consolidation Plus. So that made it even better.
Freedom worked with me on what I could afford. There was no way I would have joined the program if I couldn’t afford to make the payment. I did bi-weekly payments, and that worked better for me. They work with you so it can be the best program for you. I definitely have less stress because I was getting a lot of phone calls before. I hate to ignore the people calling because I know I owe them, but I didn’t wanna talk to them because I couldn’t pay them. But with Freedom's program, the phone calls stopped, and I just made my payments, and before long, I was through with one debt. I looked up again, and I was through with another debt. It was much easier and I was able to get some peace.

I was very reluctant to begin the program because I did not want to ruin my credit. After Adam **, explained the program to me, it all made more sense. I would never be able to pay off my debt in 4 year without the program.

I did an online research. I reached out to a couple of different companies and I thought that Freedom Debt had the best solution to my problems, so I went with them. I've been with them for six months now and they've been pretty helpful. They've been very willing to work with me. They've reached out to see how things are going and asked if they have to do anything to help me. They've been pretty friendly too. They've been very open about everything, the process of what would take place. They've done a good job of explaining everything or how it’s supposed to work. It’s nice to know that I don’t have to worry about trying to pay 900 different bills at once. They're taking care of it for me.

It was kinda slow with the rep I was partnered with, but now it has picked up and it’s going perfect. My phone isn't ringing and my credit score has gone up. I got behind my debts and I could never get caught up. I called a couple of debt consolidation companies and they couldn't help me. With one of them, the payment was too high. Updated on 04/13/2020: The process is going quicker than I thought. About six months ago I enrolled six accounts and already three of them have been settled. It is a relieving feeling. At FDR, it genuinely feels as though I have professionals on my side, supporting me every step of the way.

In less than 6 months, one of my several accounts turned over to FDR has been settled already. Hi. My name is Claudia **. I been a customer for 3 yrs. I had no complaints for the last 3 yrs. till now. I was supposed to be finished with the program back in November 2019. Didn’t happen because one of my last credit cards has not been settled with Wells Fargo. Last week I asked to speak with a manager. They couldn’t get me anyone to help me so all they told me, "A manager will get with you in 24 hours". Is been 2 days and I haven’t heard from anyone!!! At this point I just want to be done with Freedom Debt and get with Wells Fargo myself and do a straight settlement with them..

It was very good with the Freedom rep and their website is very user-friendly. The payment plan is good. There were a couple of months in the early parts of it where I couldn't meet it and they worked with me. I’m more than halfway through the program and I have another year and a half.

I had a problem with debt for many years and called Freedom Debt Relief to fix all my debts in one payment. The payment is a little high though. I pay 500 for 24 months and have two or three years to pay that amount off of FDR. I'd finish my program in 2022. I started in a new job and am having some problems with the direct deposit. I called FDR again to ask if we could again fix the payment every 15 days, which was around 272. They are a good company and I'd stay with them.

When I was in the process of considering to use FDR I was told explicitly by the advisor that I would not have to pay taxes on the amount of my debt that was written off. I was even told what form to use to send in to the IRS if I received a 1099. Now when I ask the same question I am getting I have to speak to a CPA and I am not getting the confident answers I was getting before and this makes me feel as if I was lied to in order to sign on with FDR.

I found Freedom through some reviews I saw online. I called them, and they were the most responsive to my inquiries. I ended up using them and the payment plan is easy. I was able to tell them what I felt comfortable with, and they were able to work with me. Customer service is great too. Whenever I send them any inquiries, any emails, they answer me back really quickly. I have a certain contact, but anybody who usually answers the phone has been able to help me so I don’t have to wait for a specific person. I’ve been using them for a year and they’ve already settled quite a few of my debts. They’re great so far.

I talked to them and I liked what they had to say. I gave them the paperwork they needed. I like the fact that the accounts they were negotiating with, you just say the address. And I got no more phone calls and no more letters. It's been quite easy. I've only got about 10 more months on it and I'm looking forward to it. I told a couple of guys at my work about Freedom Debt Relief and that I had no issues with it.

I did a lot of research and I found that Freedom Debt Relief had a good following and an excellent star rating. So I went ahead and took the plunge. I've been in the program for a year and so far, everything has been working out perfectly. I like the customer service. Their knowledge has been the most impressive. The payment plan is very fair as well. I’m very happy when someone says they're gonna do something and they're gonna help you, and they really help you.

I was just looking at Freedom Debt Relief on the internet, and my phone rang, and it was one of their representatives. I thought it was funny. I didn't know if they could see what I was doing. They contacted me when they needed to and I signed the document. It was convenient. I signed it on my email and then they just went forward. I think I've been in it three years. There is about one more year, about one more thing to take care of that they've not touched yet. And my debt collectors didn't call me. Once I sent them the letters, it worked good for me. I was impressed with the burden off my shoulders. It's gonna allow me to retire. My son's neighbor used Freedom Debt Relief too and they were very satisfied with it.
The only thing that I would like for them to change is maybe make some bigger payments on my accounts. Some of them is only $5. And I think the one that was $5 now went to $25. I don't know if it's because they're trying to get the other ones paid off. I know they just did the $5 just to get it started 'cause they have to negotiate. So maybe they went to negotiate and just get that one going. They paid a little bit on it just to get it on the books. But now, they've bumped it up to $25 a month. But when they negotiate, they get pretty good deals. And if I wanna quit, whatever money's in my account, it's mine. They just tell you, "Don't take away because it'l make your program longer." But I could change my payment any time I want. I've added to it. I just wanna get done with it.

It is hard to give a higher rating until I get my 2019 taxes done. If I get a 1099 from a creditor for debt forgiveness and I am not able to get this dollar amount reduced I will be socked with a highly taxable amount. I'm watching the mail every day.

In some cases, clients may be required to pay taxes on their forgiven debt, but it is possible to avoid declaring the forgiven debt if a person meets the IRS's definition of liabilities exceeding assets at the time of settlement.
