When I emailed them that I have a problem about litigation they responded immediately, and after a few weeks the problem was resolved. I am not worriying at all if I have a problem, I pass it all to them and I know they will help me.

This company has been negotiating my credit card debts very well. I am very happy with the progress so far and look forward to solving the last couple larger credit card accounts. I do recommend this process very highly to anyone having balances on more than a couple credit card accounts.

Why does FDR allow a client to become behind in all their bills, that lowers their credit score to a point it hurts their credit ability, then offer a consolidation loan after credit cards have accumulated late fees which increases the debt ratio. Why not offer the consolidation loan at the beginning?

I'm just getting started so not much to tell. I was very skeptical at first but more confident by the end of the phone conversation. So the more I heard and the more I thought about it I felt that it was the right thing to do. I was helped by Jacob **. He said and did all the right things during the phone call. We even discussed the fact whether this was a scam or not and he give me the reassurance and websites to confirm that is was legitimate. It is truly refreshing to actually have a company be concerned about their client’s obligations and they also realize that somethings happen that is out ones’ control. After finalizing the situation with my work, I had to contact several of my creditors and explain to them as to what happened in my personal life and let me just say that it was and is very embarrassing. It is difficult to discuss an issue that is personal in nature but if the creditors aren’t aware there are issues, then they can help you out. So, I laid all my cards on the table and explained to the CSR (Customer Service Representative) what kind of a pickle I was in and that I needed to make arrangements so that this problem of mine wouldn’t make things even worse than what it is. There have been many times that FDR has helped me out since becoming of your agency. Just as it always has been, if you don’t know you can’t fix it.
So, if you are made aware of a situation, then it can be fix which that is exactly what the CSR did for me yesterday; 1 Feb. 2020. FDR has helped me out several times since becoming a client and they have been such kind people to speak with and easy going. Each time when asked to pull money from account, there has never been an issue. FDR is a company that truly seems to have the best interest for their clients; at least that is what I have experienced. Money matters are always a stressful time in our lives, but add in their other issues of your life and everything seems so heavy and is hard to get past. Now FDR is always letting me know if there is anything else, I need, just give them a call.
The businesses of today are more about the ‘mean dollar’ that they forget about their employees that make for great experiences. For those of us that are down in the trenches taking calls, dealing with client’s problem and listening to their frustration makes is even more important that the client/customer is able to vent and get their problem resolved as quickly as possible. In closing let me just say I am thankful for your business and your customer service skills.

First rep was rude and unhelpful. Second rep Bob when I called again was very helpful and empathetic that I had been charged $483 on top of my two $261 a month payments = $573. I did get my bank to reverse $483 at a cost of $30 which I would like Freedom to reimburse me. First rep was threatening and did not say I only needed $64 for my structured settlements not to be in jeopardy. Bob was the one that told me that instead. First rep, said well couldnt you borrow the money from family or friends this was a bullying technique to try to get me to pay. I could no ask family or friends to pay my debts.
I told first rep I would put $261 into my account at the end of the month which I did. She basically didnt believe I would and kept threatening me with ALL my structured settlements being in jeopardy. I’m trying and have a good payment record. The conversation with the first rep, was intimidating and stressful. I’m glad I called again and got Bob who explained all I needed was $64 on the 20th to keep the account in order.

I contacted the FDR program because I had lost my job, during that time creditors were coming at me from all Angles, interest rates were going through the roof and I couldn't afford to stay afloat. They ensured me that they would take care of the creditors and help me to restore my credit.

Great job on two of my charges. I hope the rest go as well. I noticed that a collection office called but don’t know which one it was on. Now you pay the debtors off as we go forward or do I have to figure something out for paying them off once you have made the debts lowered.

Very pleased and happy with the outcome of Freedom Debt Relief. From the day I started to my finish date. I entered Consolidation Plus (part of Freedom) and saw all my cards paid off quickly and my credit is starting to go up in approx 1 year. Have to pay off the loan, but I'll take it to get my credit back to normal. Highly recommend this company.

Updated on 09/23/2020: At this point we have 3 resolved debts, 4 are in process which means Freedom Debt Relief has set up a structured settlement. These companies get monthly payments. Then we have 4 remaining debts. I am very happy how the program is working for us. Anytime I call the Freedom Debt Relief the associate is always very helpful and friendly. They can always answer my question. When we started this program I really wasn't too sure if we were doing the right thing to help get us out of debt. I am so glad we did! To make this program work you must keep up on your monthly payments to Freedom Debt Relief. Even when my husband lost income due to Covid, this company worked with us so we could still send in a smaller monthly payment but we would still be on track. Send any letters or notices to them so they will always have your file updated. If you don't do your part, Freedom Debt Relief can't do theirs.
Original Review: We are now 5 months into the program Enrollment was very easy and the representative did a great job explaining the program. The hardest part was in the beginning when we stop paying those monthly bills and we didn't see anything happening. Well all of a sudden in January we had our first settlement and then about two week later we had our second settlement. What a great feeling! I love the client dashboard and check it frequently. Every time I have called with a question, the person I talked to was very pleasant and was able to help me out. This program takes you and FDR working together to lower the debt. It is also important to remember that the debt will not be gone once you sign up for the program, creditors will call and you need to grow your dedicated account to get this moving. So glad we decided to sign up for this program.

I have always had good customer service up until my last email. I asked if FDR was familiar with a scam collections company. First reply stated they didn't know what I was asking. It was pretty straightforward. I replied with a more clearly written question. I never received a response. Disappointing.

I've heard so many horror stories about scammy debt consolidation companies that I was exceedingly hesitant about trusting any of them at all. I heard about Freedom Debt Relief from a member of my church, which immediately instilled some amount of trust, but not 100% yet. They were great about walking me through every step of the process and answering all my questions before getting started. They never pushed me into anything, they just continued answering my questions until I was ready.
Then, when I finally was ready, the process was very simple and straightforward. They even have provisions for nasty bill collection calls and letters so you don't feel trapped or attacked by your creditors during the process. I am only a few months into my debt consolidation program but my accounts are already beginning to be settled, which is faster than I expected. In summation, I would absolutely recommend Freedom Debt Relief to my friends and family.

Very cooperative people. Easy to understand and will help me a 66 year old with a wife with late stage ovarian cancer. There is no stress. FDR does everything to help you resolve your debt. I don't get phone calls from creditors. Any written threats, I can fax to them. All I have to do is to is stay timely on my payments. Although you are not rejected if you do. They just tell you what you can do.

I had received text regarding a problem with one of my settlements and there isn't enough to cover the monthly payment. I called because Freedom handles the $920/month so how could this happens. The person I spoke to looked into it and found it was an error on their part and would be resolved. She was so helpful. Her manner on how she spoke to me was excellent. A friend of mine told me about Freedom Debt Relief, that she was with them, and they did a very good job for her, so she introduced me. I have a lot of credit card debt, I wasn’t working, and I was going through a really hard time with the passing of my father and some other relatives. It was a really rough year for me. So, I worked with Liz and she was perfect. She took the time out and talked to me about it, walked me through the process, told me what I needed to do, and that’s what I did. I was impressed with her respect, patience, and the time that she spent to ensure me that everything was gonna be okay. She told me to just do what they tell me to do and follow the procedure. She was amazing.
For the payment plan, they told me to go to the bank and pick out an account and give them the account to get their payment automated so they can pay my debt. I was 110% comfortable working with them and the quality of service is excellent. They provide me a peace of mind because so far some are settled that I have, and they collect all my credit card and they have been paying it because I’ve been paying them. I get back results from the bank or whosoever I have credit with and they say that some of them are paid off already. So, I see results. It made my life a whole lot easier because I don’t have to worry about five, six, seven, or eight payment per month. I would worry about one payment. And if somebody asks me about Freedom, I would say, “Go ahead. It will make your life a whole lot easier.” It was really great because I introduced other people to it and they’re also are getting results.

I was very happy with my experience until I sent in a creditor's letter and was told by you that it was a new debt and you were raising my payment. I gave you all my debts a year ago and do not see how it could be a new debt, and now the extra money coming out every month is a strain on my already strained budget. I am somewhat happy with the program, only wish it was clear that I would be paying a lot of money for the service itself when agreeing to sign on my debt. Customer service has been very helpful along the way, just wish we could eliminate surprises with clearer explanation upon enrollment.

Overall service is great!! I also have a lawyer working on my Discover card and NEVER AM I able to talk speak to her, it's always through emails... I understand they have a lot of people to deal with and CAN sit in front of their computer but me being a working person that doesn't sit in front of a computer all day would must rather talk on the phone!! My husband passed unexpectedly and I found out that his life insurance was denied. So, I was having a lot of financial problems and had to make a choice to do what I did with my credit card. I got an advertisement type email from Freedom Debt Relief and they seemed to be fairer with me on the charges and how long it would take to pay it off. Their end results were better than other companies and they answered every question, no matter how silly it was. They helped me consolidate anything that I could. So, they were a big help. The man who signed me up was very helpful. He understood my position at the time and I was kind of hard to deal with. I was very distraught. He didn't know which end was up and he took his time. When he said he was gonna call me back, he did and it made all the difference.
Working with Freedom made my financial situation a lot easier. I only pay the 315 a month instead of that constant revolving door of paying the minimum payment on the credit card and then it doesn't even go on it. It just goes towards interest or late payments, and with this, I don't have a problem. There were eight cards and I only have two left. Freedom works out in my benefit and I would definitely recommend them.

I really happy to enter in the program FDR, my life is much less complicated since that, actually I regret not did it before, I was using all my salary to pay high interests and always worried if I was have money to pay all the bills, then after a year with an income on the edge for just pay the bills and my life overwhelmed, tired and sad I opted for the consolidation with FDR, I’m not late or missing payments at that time, but I decided that was the time before I get sick and depressed.

I’m in $20,000 debt and I’m trying to get it off my back, and I decided to go with Freedom Debt Relief. I had a problem with one of the customer service rep. When I first got started, I didn't appreciate him at all because he'd tell me one thing, then there'd be something else. I was really upset with him. He gave me a lot of incorrect information. After that, I was ready to leave and go to somebody else, but I decided to stay. They told me I didn't have to deal with him anymore, so I started talking to different representatives when I called back. We finally got it straightened out and I didn't wanna work with him anymore. If I’m trying to deal with you and trying to take care of my business, I need a straightforward answer. I don’t have time to be playing games.
My account was moving when I first signed up, but in the middle part, that was last year, it wasn’t moving until I started taking funds out of my dedicated account. I had about $5,000 in there. But at the time, I didn't have money to buy food. I figured they got money sitting there and they were not working with it, so I might as well get funds out the dedicated account. I went in there three times. And that was when they started working with the creditors. I didn't like that part. Another thing, if you got a certain amount of money in the account, like $600, and Capital One is asking for $600, why don’t you just go ahead and give them the whole $600 instead of doing a structured settlement. The stuff that I went through wasn't right. I had worked with another company and they didn't do structured settlement. They had such and such in an account, and they gave it to the people to get it off my back.
Freedom got a bit stress off me, but I’m not too satisfied. They gave me an estimate when I first signed up. I was giving them at first $300 or $400. They told me if I'd give them $900 every month, I'd be out of debt in 2020. I’m a single mother on disability and I’m barely making it. So, I figured if I gave them the money, I would be out the program right this time. But that was a lie. Now I’m gonna be in it till 2023. They should be straight-up with me and tell me when I’m gonna be out the program. I'm giving them the $900 and it’s just sitting there. I told the people, “Since you’re not doing anything with the money, go ahead and take what you’re supposed to take out. I won't be sitting here starving.” And then I’m sitting here starving. On top of that, I had to get payday loans to get us something to eat and I shouldn’t be doing that. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody.

So far my experience with FDR has been great. They have been able to get 2 settlements for me. It gives me a sense of relief to know that I have help in dealing with my debt. Based on an advertisement, Freedom rated the highest out of all the other companies where customers were satisfied. They give you videos and they walk you through the process. Freedom gave me a timeline, but it may have changed a bit. Still, they’ve been very good. I had to call today and they resolved the issues. They’ve been very helpful overall.

I looked at four different companies and checked online at Consumer Reports on who was the best. They said it was FDR and that made me pick them. I'm very happy with the service. They're taking my debt down and I'm satisfied with who I picked. Others may be as good or better but I don't have any bad issues with this company. I really like that they are always there and they always answer my questions. When I get a letter from a lender, I copy it and fax it to them. The only thing I would tell them to do would be to reply to those letters so I know that they got it. I keep a file, I've got copies of who delivered, and I wanna be sure somebody got them.
Other than that, they're really good on the phone and everything they told me so far that they would do, they've done. Their follow-ups are good as well. They also told me that the program could take anywhere from 12 months to 24, depending on how much money I give them to clear my debt with. I started about six months ago so I got another at least 18 months.

Freedom Debt Relief had been recommended by a couple of friends. Whenever we called in, everyone seemed to know what they were talking about. After the first few months, I was getting a little worried about things. I was wondering how things were gonna go. They made it sound like within a couple of years, everything would get paid off, and I didn’t know how that was going to happen. They really couldn’t explain to me how all the late fees kept bottling up and gaining up on us and how our monthly payment was going. But now, since I've gotten the loan, things are going okay. Today, we just got to where one of the big credit cards was getting paid off.

My mom recommended Freedom Debt Relief and said really good things about it. I said, “Okay, let me do my own research.” And from what I’ve seen either from reviews, like different places, it seemed like overall they are trying to help out people. In comparison to other places they would say, “Well, you have to pay this upfront first and pay all these fees.” Thus far, I’ve had a really good experience with it. They sent me the emails on any updates if they had reduced the settlement or whatever it is. I really like the fact that I am able to see that and check everything online. I know where I stand. And if they have any concerns, I get the occasional emails like, “Do you have, by any chance, any other debt?” That was very easy to communicate.
I’m still making payments on debts but there’s two out of the four that have been settled. I know a friend of mine as well who is possibly planning to go through the process. I recommended her to Freedom Debt Relief already. I’ve told her about the ease of the process. People get very overwhelmed with the process. But I feel FDR breaks it down very nicely to where it’s not long hours on the phone speaking to somebody. It’s not overwhelmingly a bunch of information. They made it short, simple into what needs to get done, and it gets done.

Very disappointed in the whole process. Worst mistake I made in my life is to do this, they hold onto your money and don't pay off your debt at a like they should. I feel they hold onto your money. All of last year made all my payments and only cleared one debt for 2-3 thousand dollars. And have over 6-7 thousand worth of payments I've made. Don't know why they couldn't clear one whole debt with what payments I've made. Instead making 85 dollar payments for a year. What a waste. I wish I had never had done this. Told anyone who would ask NEVER do this. Not worth it. Put your own money aside and work with your creditors to pay it off yourself. They don't make that great of a deal with them. You could do the same.

I am having trouble getting into my dashboard. I change the password still doesn't work. The gentleman that helped me told me we had over a year and half left and when I called last fall they told me the end of this year. I was a little disappointed. I can't get into my dashboard so I have to depend on what I am told. Not happy about that. The gentleman was nice and helpful just not what I wanted to hear.

When enrolling with 3 debts, I was aiming for a long 3-4 year settlement, but after 15 months, 2 of 3 debts have agreed to settle. The great thing is my largest debt was one of the 2 settled. Of course I will continue paying monthly until I have paid off the entire amount.

I am very pleased with the settlements that FDR has done for me especially since they have made a payment plan for them with getting a fair reduction in my current debts owed. This leaves other money on the table to do other settlements while these are being paid which is smart as I have a number of other credit cards owing.

I came into a financial bind when my car needed repair and I was looking to defer one payment. The agent was very polite and was able to defer the payment; however, it wasn't tacked on at the end like most deferrals. Instead I gad to increase my payment each month for a year which for someone that works 2 jobs robbing Peter to pay Paul paycheck to paycheck it has made each month a bigger struggle. I did get my car fixed but now worry about my financial situation for the next year.

It took me about 5 seconds to agree to a proposal I received from FDR a few days ago. The proposal was a settlement figure and payment plan for the first debt I enrolled in FDR. I am amazed that this happened in such an efficient way in a few short months. In all my dealings with FDR, I have been treated courteously, respectfully and kindly. Every direction I have been given has produced the result promised.
It is both embarrassing and a heavy burden to find that one requires outside help in resolving debt. I am 74 years old. I have not been in this situation before; I never imagined being in this situation, ever!! But here I was. Unavoidable circumstances made the manageable debt I had been carrying into an unwieldy, unmanageable burden within a few short months.
Receiving this first, manageable, settlement proposal has lifted some of my embarrassment and boosted my spirits. I liked Freedom Debt Relief's program. Everybody I’ve ever talked to have always helped me and answered all my questions. I was anxious wanting to get things paid a little quicker, but I understand that they have procedures on how to deal with paying the people. As for me, when you make the deal for a small account, I'd like it to be paid in full instead of breaking up payments. I never really thought about the pay-off on small accounts until I realized I have one that had made an offer. We made a deal to make the payments on it, but it seemed to me that it should've been paid in full and be through with it. I didn’t see the necessity in breaking it down when it was only $200 because the money was there. We should've just paid it off and be through with it.
I was a little distressed working with Freedom thinking if it was gonna work for me or if I was going to like the way it was done. But it has been okay. I got through that. Whenever I had a question or concern, I just called and they replied back, and we went over it. One time, I had a mess with my account. I called, and I was a nervous wreck thinking that was gonna mess me up with the program. I thought I missed out on the program because I had a return, but we got all that cleared up easily. With Freedom, I don’t have to worry about the debt collectors calling me, and worry about shelving money trying to pay them, because I got them to take care of it. I would recommend Freedom. In fact, I’ve already recommended them to other people.

I found Freedom Debt Relief through the AARP and the reps were very nice. We’re both always in contact. After I got FDR, I started getting calls from people because I wasn't paying them but they finally stopped. The worst one was American Express. They called the most and they got me on Suffolk County Credit sending my account to a jury.

Updated on 11/07/2022: From the very beginning FDR gathered all my debt information and told me what I would have to pay each month and when I could expect to be debt free. I followed their guidelines and my debt was resolved at less than half the amount within the time frame they told me to expect. I would recommend FDR to anyone with credit card debt.
Updated on 06/23/2022: Freedom Debt Relief got my creditors to cut my debt to virtually half of what it originally was and they have resolved a number of cases already and I should "graduate" on or very close to the original schedule they told me would apply. I am very pleased with their work and would definitely recommend them to others..

I am grateful that FDR is giving their best to resolve my debts. However, I hope in the future they would be able to assess if the creditor would not be willing to negotiate, and therefore avoid filing a lawsuit which happened to me. This is something burdensome.

Received the representation as advertised when a creditor sued me: I contacted FDR and the litigation team contacted me and so far has been handling things causing zero stress on my end. They have also recently completed negotiations on my first deal, saving me 40%. The only neutral comment I have is that there are numerous affiliated companies, too many....however, it does seem they all are doing good work therefore I suggest just providing effective communication indicating the specific affiliated company that will also now begin making contact.

They are working on negotiating my loans and have settled a few successfully so far. In the initial enrollment I was under the impression that I would have a specific person assigned to work with me, but I am now in a pool of anyone who answers the phone. I also realize their need to make money and I did agree on the payment scale but for a couple of the loans, the Freedom Debt Relief got more money in payments than the creditor. I feel that they could make the hardship even less and have more satisfied and successful clients. Overall they did what they said they would do.

As I was looking towards retirement, & started assessing my finances, it hit me that I had more than $40K in credit card debt! I had been struggling to pay off first one, & then another, but never seemed to make it. Then I had several episodes of unemployment that set me back even more. My credit card debt was piling up and then I had to have a surgery on my neck. Now I had more debt than I could handle but once I found Freedom Debt Relief everything is back on track. Freedom Debt Relief is helping me to resolve some of my debts. I do not know how the amount of the debt that was not covered by the settlement is going to affect me at the time I pay my taxes. But so far I am very pleased and relieved by the help I have them.
