I would definitely recommend Freedom to others! They are always there to answer questions as specific and thoroughly as possible...I have never hung up with a specialist and still had questions or confused about the process. They have made this challenging time for me as less stressful as possible and always reassure me when in doubt and that they will take care of it. I was so skeptical going into this process because of so many fraudulent programs and they were able to provide with all the information and proof they were an accredited company. Breanna is simply the best and is always available...she even reaches out to me just to check in and make sure things are going as planned and if any questions have popped up. The customer service, when you call, is great and take the time to answer questions. I have had the opportunity to speak to a couple different representatives and they have all been wonderful. I do not recommend the "chat" feature. The two times I attempted to use the feature it felt like the person was trying to push thru the questions quickly without providing full information.

Updated on 09/02/2021: The reps are great. Every time I've called in, they've always helped me with my problems, and it's been wonderful. They told me I would graduate by 2021, but now, it's looking like 2024. I've had a lot of problems because I was living with my grandmother. I became her power of attorney and added her debt to the program. The debts were mainly her debt, to begin with. We had $19,000 in debt enrolled in originally, and not even 5,000 of them were mine. We lost our house last year and I had to postpone my payments for a couple of months and they were great about me doing that.
My grandmother went to stay with my brother, and in the meantime of us looking for a new place to live that was safe, my brother took the power of attorney and stopped paying her portion. What we did was for the first year or two, everything came out of my bank account, then we switched it to her account when I was having issues with my account, even though I was giving her the money. My brother put a stop to it, so the payment didn't go through for the one month and I thought, "Well, why not?" I had no clue what was going on. Nobody communicated this to me.
When I called saying that I got the notice, they told me, and I called my grandmother. I told Freedom Debt Relief, "All right, take her debts off of my program." They did, but then, they didn't lower my payment, so I was still paying the same 312 a month. I thought, "I can't swing this on my own." I had to postpone the program until I could swing it then I still couldn't swing it. I got a notice saying that my program was behind, if I could just make the 258 payment. That, I can swing, so I called and told them I got that email, then they lowered the payment to 258 and I've been doing okay. The dashboard is very self-explanatory, and I'm on there at least once a month usually. Overall, I love the program, and I'm almost done with it.
Original Review: I have come a long way in my debt relief journey and FDR has been a huge help in that journey. Before I enrolled in the program I was struggling to make all my payments on time and even pay all my bills. Now I have money to pay all my bills on time and even have money left over each month.

So far everything has been done what they said they will do. I am very happy with Freedom for helping me get out of debt. I can breathe a little easier that I have Freedom on my side. I can actually have time with my grandkids and not feel I will go broke if I get them a ice cream.

Freedom Debt Relief has been a godsend to me. I stupidly got myself in over my head with unsecured credit card debt. I called FDR and they come up with an easy plan for me to reduce and get rid of my debt completely. Set up a payment plan and make sure you keep up with it. FDR will take care of the rest for you. Checking on graduation time. I talked with Eric and Bob. I did a final installment set up with Eric to finalize my last payment. He sent a confirmation e-mail to me. I called back and talked with Bob about some info on the e-mail. He reassured me that everything was good. Only bad news they gave me was that the last creditor could wait for 180 days before clearing my record.

The initial discussion with your representative was, in my opinion, deceiving and misleading. I am displeased with the issue that I was instructed to not pay on any account but FDR then allowed them to go to great delinquency. It has been very difficult to establish any semblance of good credit for now. I have taken over three of the accounts and working with the credit companies while letting FDR handle the rest.

I have been in the Debt Relief program for around 10 months and already have had 4 of my debts resolved. I cannot believe how fast the negotiators have worked on my behalf. I was a little hesitant and afraid in taking that first step to commit to the program, but the customer service is fast and efficient in answering any questions and concerns I have. I also enrolled in the Legal Advice program (NLG) and that also really has been a great help. I still have a way to go, but I feel confident in knowing that there is light at the end of the Debt tunnel, and hopefully within the next two years I will be able to see the light again!!

Updated on 02/03/2023: I joined the program a couple of years ago and you cleared 7 out of 8 accounts. I am going to try to clear up the rest of the accounts I have. Thank you for your help. This will help me because of my accident last year It really messed up my finances. I was in the hospital and went by ambulance and was there a week. I just barely got the ambulance bill!

I thought that my credit will rise but I see that my credit will be impacted until the Bills are paid. What I mean even though some have been Negotiated others have not which affects my score. If I've known this I would probably have tweeted some things.

Was worried about 3 months ago, "What should I do???" was all I could think about. Then I read something on the internet about a company that could help with my debts. I called to make sure I was right about one of my cards had been settled. I got my question answered right away and told me how I could find that off. She then asked if I had other questions. Well I didn’t think so but then we started to talk and she asked to log in to the dash board and she walked with step by step to show me how to look things up and explain what each one was. The information was very helpful to me. Before we hung up she said I could call anytime and they would be glad to help me at anytime. Glad I went with this coming for help.

Don't believe their misconceptions. I entered with 5 accounts. 3 of the accounts (so far) were settled at a HIGHER amount than what I entered!!! Read that slowly - the amount they "settled" on is higher than my debt joining this company!! Don't do this. My credit and life are ruined. I have 7 children and I could finance anything I wanted when I joined. However I got in over my head and FDR said, "We can lower your debt." The first debt we settled on worked well - then the next two I ended up getting sued and had to use their litigations team - they are worthless and don't fight for you - they simply give the creditor what they want. Bottom line you end up paying more than when you entered the program AND your credit life is trashed. I cannot even get my car fixed when it breaks down now because my credit has gone to UNDER 500!!!
Let's move on the 3rd "Settlement" - when I entered the program my debt for this company was $2,874. Eight months later they offered me a settlement of $2,199. So to save $675.00 - I am expected to jump for joy because they're "saving me money" while ruining my life. My kids are suffering so bad right now. This is because you are still making payments to FDR as if you were still paying your companies - but they promise to lower your debt and help you. LIES LIES LIES. My family is eating Ramen Noodles for dinner and FDR is not who they say they are. At least I could still use my credit cards to help take care of my kids before signing up for this life ruining program! THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST LIFE DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE. We are suffering and are now in poverty because of false enticements from FDR. DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP. Feel free to contact me for proof - I urge you to stay away from this company.

The representative did not clearly explain how the fees were calculated. Upon review, I feel that I can make the same arrangement with my creditors as this company has made. I figured that using the fee structure they use, I paid 100% more in fees than I would have if I handled the negotiations myself.

Have asked twice for information on account and either you do not answer or the email will not go through. I have a creditor threatening to garnish my wages and I have heard nothing from you. Do I need to solve my debt myself. Should I call the creditors myself so they don't garnish my pay.

I have had trouble with other accounts closing that were not on my list. When I was going to use my card at Victoria Secrets, the said account closed due to Freedom Debt Relief but I think it's owned by a bank. Have all my credit cards calling me saying my payment is due and late payments. I always paid my bills on time and sometimes I wish I never did this. My credit score is way down and do not know if my credit will never be repaired. I never expected this. I have all my creditors calling me.

The agent was very helpful but it was hard for him to find a payoff balance. Even an estimate was hard to get. It took him almost 30 mins to send me a letter for a balance I needed. I talked to 2 different agents and the first one sent me the wrong thing after asking his support what to do. Then the 2nd one didn’t know how to go about it but figured it out.

My wife and I were thinking about finding the best solution to resolve our debts when we stumbled upon Freedom Debt Relief (FDR). After reading some information and reviews on FDR, we decided to give it a try. We called and spoke with a Certified Debt Consultant named Bryan **. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional but friendly, too. He took all the time needed to explain to us about the options they provide and answered all our questions and concerns. His good manner and approach made us feel comfortable to tell him about our real situation, so that he was able to help us choose the best option.
In the end, we decided to go with a program called negotiated debt settlement. Bryan was there through the whole process until we got enrolled in the program. With this program, Turnbull Law Group - a partner of FDR, will negotiate with our creditors/lenders to make settlements. They will set up a special account where we put our monthly deposit to eventually pay off all of our debts. We can choose the amount we can afford every month as well as the time period that is comfortable for us. Today, we just received our Welcome Guide! It's been a great experience so far, and we would recommend FDR and Bryan ** to anyone who needs help with obtaining debt relief. THANK YOU, Bryan! You're the best! :)

Updated on 03/17/2020: Freedom Debt didn’t seem like some fly-by-night internet spam or Facebook spam-type thing because it was on TV. It seemed a bit more legitimate. And when I spoke to them, they didn’t seem shady. They weren’t like, “Send us all your money and then we’ll work it out.” Also, making payments and stuff seemed a bit more legitimate. Naturally, if you pay them all at once, then it gets paid off faster.
Two of my debts have been completely settled. And then there are five that we’re working on that are payment-based, because they make a payment arrangement. However, I didn’t realize that they were just going to make payment arrangements because they made it sound like, “Okay, you get $500 into the account then we call them. We’re gonna settle this for $500 and then, bam, it’s off your credit. And then you build up again and then they settle.” Because with them making payment arrangements, it's gonna take quite a while for this to take place.
One of them that they just made for me the other day is a year-long payment arrangement. It’s going to be 10 payments long and I was hoping to have this all done by the summer of next year. And just the way that they’re going, that one’s gonna take a year and then it will take six months to drop off your credit. So, I really wish that they wouldn’t settle for small payments over so long of a time. I've put in almost $400 a month so I’d rather have them let me build it up, pay one off completely and be done with it, because then it will drop off in six months. But now, they have to pay for six months and then it takes six months to drop off.
They’re very nice people. But when I asked, “How do you pay them off?”, nobody said to me, “We make payment arrangements.” It seemed they skirted the issue. Because then, when they made the first agreement, I called them up and said, “Hey, are you guys always gonna be making a payment arrangement?” Then once again, they skirted that questioning, “Oh, well, you know...” and I said, “No, I wanna know” because I would’ve taken my taxes and given them $5,000 and been, “Pay off as much as you can.”
I understand that they don’t want people to get discouraged, but they need to answer the question honestly. If I asked, “Are you gonna make payment arrangements on everything,” it should be, “Yes, that’s what our policy is.” They told tell me this could take a few years depending on how much I was putting in so they let you know it’s gonna take a while, but they don’t give you all of the information. But other than that, they get the job done.
Original review: Great service. I can't believe how quickly my credit is being repaired. Weekly, I am getting notification that my credit is going up!! It will take just over 2 years for all of my debt to be paid off and then I will be able to buy my first home!!!

Been in for 5 years and nothing is really happening, have cancer and can't afford to keep paying, so probably going to have to discontinue the program, was told 36 to 48 months and there is no end in sight.

STAY AWAY!!! If you find yourself contemplating utilizing this agency, PLEASE run from this agency like it's the plague!! We enrolled multiple accounts to be consolidated in 2016 and busted our tails to pay off debts early. We got to the point of also dealing with the creditors on our own as we could get the same if not better payoff agreements WITHOUT paying the roughly 21% service fee FDR charges. We ended up with one final account that was enrolled with FDR where the agency would not work with us and required a structured settlement... no big deal. We paid that settlement off in early fall 2018. We were told we would have to wait until December 2018 for this account to be verified closed and enable us to graduate the program... earlier than our original graduation date.
Since December 2018, we have contacted FDR on multiple occasions inquiring as to why we haven't graduated, why there is still a pending account, why our dedicated account for our settlements is still populating delinquent funds since they charge you to have their bank account used to pay settlements open. The answer is always the same: "We are waiting on the creditor to clear the payment (still, since 2018), I'll elevate this so it gets done as soon as possible, it shouldn't be any more than 30 days and we'll close you out and you'll graduate program." It's the same language EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Multiple times since Dec 2018. Completely unprofessional and unsat!!! This should have been taken care of OVER a year ago. So, PLEASE run from this agency and handle your accounts yourself. It's not that hard and the creditors WILL, most of the time, work with you.

Why does FDR allow a client to become behind in all their bills, that lowers their credit score to a point it hurts their credit ability, then offer a consolidation loan after credit cards have accumulated late fees which increases the debt ratio. Why not offer the consolidation loan at the beginning?

It is truly refreshing to actually have a company be concerned about their client’s obligations and they also realize that somethings happen that is out ones’ control. After finalizing the situation with my work, I had to contact several of my creditors and explain to them as to what happened in my personal life and let me just say that it was and is very embarrassing. It is difficult to discuss an issue that is personal in nature but if the creditors aren’t aware there are issues, then they can help you out. So, I laid all my cards on the table and explained to the CSR (Customer Service Representative) what kind of a pickle I was in and that I needed to make arrangements so that this problem of mine wouldn’t make things even worse than what it is. There have been many times that FDR has helped me out since becoming of your agency. Just as it always has been, if you don’t know you can’t fix it.
So, if you are made aware of a situation, then it can be fix which that is exactly what the CSR did for me yesterday; 1 Feb. 2020. FDR has helped me out several times since becoming a client and they have been such kind people to speak with and easy going. Each time when asked to pull money from account, there has never been an issue. FDR is a company that truly seems to have the best interest for their clients; at least that is what I have experienced. Money matters are always a stressful time in our lives, but add in their other issues of your life and everything seems so heavy and is hard to get past. Now FDR is always letting me know if there is anything else, I need, just give them a call.
The businesses of today are more about the ‘mean dollar’ that they forget about their employees that make for great experiences. For those of us that are down in the trenches taking calls, dealing with client’s problem and listening to their frustration makes is even more important that the client/customer is able to vent and get their problem resolved as quickly as possible. In closing let me just say I am thankful for your business and your customer service skills.

First rep was rude and unhelpful. Second rep Bob when I called again was very helpful and empathetic that I had been charged $483 on top of my two $261 a month payments = $573. I did get my bank to reverse $483 at a cost of $30 which I would like Freedom to reimburse me. First rep was threatening and did not say I only needed $64 for my structured settlements not to be in jeopardy. Bob was the one that told me that instead. First rep, said well couldnt you borrow the money from family or friends this was a bullying technique to try to get me to pay. I could no ask family or friends to pay my debts.
I told first rep I would put $261 into my account at the end of the month which I did. She basically didnt believe I would and kept threatening me with ALL my structured settlements being in jeopardy. I’m trying and have a good payment record. The conversation with the first rep, was intimidating and stressful. I’m glad I called again and got Bob who explained all I needed was $64 on the 20th to keep the account in order.

Updated on 09/23/2020: At this point we have 3 resolved debts, 4 are in process which means Freedom Debt Relief has set up a structured settlement. These companies get monthly payments. Then we have 4 remaining debts. I am very happy how the program is working for us. Anytime I call the Freedom Debt Relief the associate is always very helpful and friendly. They can always answer my question. When we started this program I really wasn't too sure if we were doing the right thing to help get us out of debt. I am so glad we did! To make this program work you must keep up on your monthly payments to Freedom Debt Relief. Even when my husband lost income due to Covid, this company worked with us so we could still send in a smaller monthly payment but we would still be on track. Send any letters or notices to them so they will always have your file updated. If you don't do your part, Freedom Debt Relief can't do theirs.
Original Review: We are now 5 months into the program Enrollment was very easy and the representative did a great job explaining the program. The hardest part was in the beginning when we stop paying those monthly bills and we didn't see anything happening. Well all of a sudden in January we had our first settlement and then about two week later we had our second settlement. What a great feeling! I love the client dashboard and check it frequently. Every time I have called with a question, the person I talked to was very pleasant and was able to help me out. This program takes you and FDR working together to lower the debt. It is also important to remember that the debt will not be gone once you sign up for the program, creditors will call and you need to grow your dedicated account to get this moving. So glad we decided to sign up for this program.

I have always had good customer service up until my last email. I asked if FDR was familiar with a scam collections company. First reply stated they didn't know what I was asking. It was pretty straightforward. I replied with a more clearly written question. I never received a response. Disappointing.

I've heard so many horror stories about scammy debt consolidation companies that I was exceedingly hesitant about trusting any of them at all. I heard about Freedom Debt Relief from a member of my church, which immediately instilled some amount of trust, but not 100% yet. They were great about walking me through every step of the process and answering all my questions before getting started. They never pushed me into anything, they just continued answering my questions until I was ready.
Then, when I finally was ready, the process was very simple and straightforward. They even have provisions for nasty bill collection calls and letters so you don't feel trapped or attacked by your creditors during the process. I am only a few months into my debt consolidation program but my accounts are already beginning to be settled, which is faster than I expected. In summation, I would absolutely recommend Freedom Debt Relief to my friends and family.

Very cooperative people. Easy to understand and will help me a 66 year old with a wife with late stage ovarian cancer.
