My messages are left unreturned. I feel I don't have the complete information to know what is the best choice for me to make. One person tells me that everything is taken care of. I have nothing to do but agree or disagree to the settlement offer, another tells me to try a debt loan 'sister company'. I am unhappy because on another occasion I was told by one person I would need for $20 more a type of settlement insurance. Another person tells me that no, I don't. It's already included in my agreement. This leaves me feeling uncertain all the way around.

When I joined this program I had so much doubt and skepticism and for the first few months I would just see the money accumulate and I was beginning to worry but it's been a little over a year and I’m beyond elated about the progress I’ve seen and the amount of debt eliminated. All I can say is trust the process. As much as we want these things just cleared up right away it doesn't always work that way.

I have contacted Check and Go and they are still taking payment out of our checking. How can I get them to stop. I think everyone else has stop so if they keep doing this I will just have to do this on my own.

With FDR, I had a difficult creditor who negotiated with them to everyones satisfaction, or so it seemed. This Creditor had 2 debt collectors they sold to prior to FDR negotiation. When this Creditor was finalized with 30 monthly payments, we all were quite pleased. But, my credit score seemed to getting worse and worse. The 1st original debt collector, who was not getting paid, kept showing account open for COLLECTIONS at a very high balance.
Bottom line, it took a going around the RULES of FDR, it took compromise on both our parts to get enough funds in there to pay this Creditor off EARLIER than the Contract, originally negotiated. This was the only way to eradicate the awful monthly FICO dings It took people at Freedom (Stacey) to really hear me, to really work on my behalf, making up NEW rules and Ways as we go along, since in these times, NOTHING IS LIKE IT USED TO BE. My accounts are being settled for less than 50% of what’s owed and yet, my total amount to pay back will have been the same as the original balance on all accounts so where is the real savings?!?! Seems as though more of a scam than a consolidation and savings plan. Very disappointed.

Consolidation of Debts & Dealing with an Attorney. Just the idea of not having to deal with Creditors. I don't know how long I can do this with the Coronavirus. But I am trying. This was totally unexpected! With the Coronavirus I cannot work. Showing houses is almost impossible because The State Law Says: STAY HOME. I CAN PAY THIS MONTH'S BUT WHO KNOWS HOW LONG THIS WILL BE!

My husband and I used Freedom Debt Relief about 10 years ago. I really liked how they worked with me last time but this time, my complaint is we had to pay all the fees upfront before they did anything else. I made every payment on time the last time. I made every payment on time this time, but they seem to take their fees first. My other complaint is since they take the fees upfront, they have waited so long. I've settled two debts myself because they were not doing anything. My daughter helped me and she was paying it. But other than that, I am happy with the way FDR is doing it. I referred my daughter to them because she went through a divorce and got left with a lot of stuff.
I’m paying 700 a month even if I had some medical problems and ill and 'cause I was desperate. FDR has helped me because it’s taken the worry out of these people constantly hounding me. I’m 72 and I’ve even taken a part-time job so that I can increase my payments with them. My kids don’t like the fact that I’m out working but I have to because I need to get this paid off.

I've only had one account to settle since I've been with Freedom Debt Relief. I was hoping that they would call all the creditors when they first get them and let them know that they are handling these accounts because the creditors bug me to death. They call me, they want money and they threaten. But I guess they don't. Most of them have quit calling me except for one. But other than that, it's working out good so far.

I am absolutely happy with the services provided by Freedom Debt Relief. FDR was recommended to me by my financial adviser. I had to truly think about the long term benefits of utilizing their services vs the implications of signing up with them. It's TRUE my credit score went severely very low from not making the payments BUT it was all worth it. Instead of paying +$30,000.00 with all the interest, they were able to negotiate the loan to about +13,000.00. You do the math. And the process was painless, no creditor call, no overdue notices. I was pleased in the beginning but when I came into a small inheritance and deposited $10,000 into my Freedom account you still proceeded to take $450 from my checking account. So I decided to settle my credit card/loans and try to pay off my medical debt.

The negotiations seem good. 40 to 50 %. But then your fees make it only 20%. You save me $2000 then charge $1000 which will add to the loan at 25% interest. Not sure I am saving much. You negotiated down a CC that was about 5K. In the end I saved only 1k. I perhaps should have just got a loan when I started this and paid all off. Then I would have saved 9K in fees and penalties so far. With added fees that are on now. We are simply saving me the money it cost to do the program.

FDR keep asking for account numbers for two loan amount that I got from Citibank. I have sent a copy of the loan payment information but they continue to leave text messages stating that the accounts numbers were incomplete. However, I tried to explain that these accounts were loans hence the numbers are shorter than the those of a credit card.

A rep from Freedom called and talked to me first. He was a nice guy, full of information and answered questions. I was given options on my payment plan such as the day to start it on. We’re still in the first year of the program but the credit has gone way down. I’m happy with Freedom right now. They took all of the payments away from all the credit cards.

I received information in the postal mail then I called and talked to a representative. She was informative, confident, and knowledgeable about what she had to say. She told me that they had helped several people. Everything she mentioned to me looked like it would be what I would pursue other than I was apprehensive at first about my accounts being three months behind and just going through that process because I was accustomed to making payments on time. And so, I was still continuing my debt. But I thought about it then I talked to customer service more than once and they assured me that the program would help. Also, I looked online and Freedom had good reviews and seemed to be the number one debt relief program to go with so I thought I'd go with them.
I've been kind of disappointed about the settlement fees being as much as they are. I had one that was around $300 and I was like, "Has that really helped me?" When I look at my dashboard, they set up payment plans and I could look back at my statements and figure this out. I wanted to know if that settlement fee is included in the payment or if that came out of my dedicated account. I need more of an understanding of the process and I had to call one of the representatives to get that clarified.
They seemed to be very savvy about their website. They upgraded and made some changes to the dashboard. Then they said it would take me two years to finish the program. I've got three accounts that have been paid in full. One of them would have already been paid, but I canceled my payment for last month because of this pandemic taking place. There were also times I've made partial payments with my designated amount each month because I had to have some dental work done. I have to pay out of pocket and I've gotta come up with that cash outside of making the payments that I do to them each month.
One good thing I like about them is that I've got a little bit of a cushion. So right now, I've got money in my dedicated account. I have an account that they could pay, but they would not pay it because it would keep them from making monthly payments on the existing ones that they make monthly payments to. I've got several accounts that are close to being paid and they're gonna keep the payments that they make low. Then, as I get accumulation in my dedicated account and if I have enough, they'll pay one of them off. So, I'm decreasing my debt instead of increasing. Overall, they have really helped me. I was able to accomplish some things I wouldn't normally have been able to accomplish. It also helped me with my health, knowing that my debts are decreasing and I'm able to concentrate on my very mind, body, and soul.

My financial situation slowly started to improve from all aspects after becoming an FDR client. The simple thought that my debt would go away eventually, changed the way I think about money. I'm 64. $35.000.00 in credit card debt. No one to blame but myself. Considered Reverse Mortgage. Considered Home Equity. But I wasn't willing to put my home up as collateral. I applied for a personal loan. I was turned down flat. I didn't want a hand out from anyone. Mr. ** never gave up on me. He didn't. I told him this wasn't for me. Because I was responsible for getting myself in debt. But I had no way to get myself out. I was paying $700.00 plus per month most on that interest on 3 different cards. I would of never been able to pay these off. I'm now paying $476.00 per month for 4 years. I just made my first deposit. I will always be grateful to Mr. ** and everyone else. Freedom Debt Relief was one of the first ones. They were really kind and seemed very honest so I gave them a try and it has been working out well. And since then, there were all these other companies that have come out. They’ve been great. I've been working with different people and they have all been nice. They have good communication and good customer service on the phone. I'm in a step-by-step, five-year program. But I have the option to pay it off sooner. Within a month or two, I saw my debts began immediately to get settled. Freedom Debt is a good company to try out if anybody is interested in consolidating.

I had a phone call with a rep on April 4th to confirm upcoming deposits. The Rep ensured me that everything was set up and I even received an email that outlined everything correctly. Today, I see that deposits that were set for 4/3 in the amount of $35.00 and for 4/6 in the amount of $107.00 were not processed from my account and I'm being accused of causing a problem here. The funds have been sitting there and my bank confirms that there were no attempts on those dates for ACH withdrawals. This is very disappointing. Luckily, Michael and Azusena is on chat and being helpful in getting this finally fixed!

So far I should of claimed bankruptcy! - $ 8000.00 fees? Still paying high payments for 15,000 for next 4 years? with more fees added. Seems to me this was setup to steal instead of help me get out of debt. My Credit is tanked. All I asked for was to get a low interest loan from Lending Tree and somehow got directed to this.

I got laid off right before Christmas and I had just gotten my grandchildren who live with me. That’s why I went with Freedom and actually, they have helped me out a lot. I've been with Freedom for a little over two years now, going on three, and three or four accounts have been paid off. It’s coming along good. The only thing I can do is to keep paying on Freedom. Eventually, my debt will come down. I was on unemployment and although I still work for the military, they’re paying me administratively 20 hours a week. So it does cover my insurance and the payment to Freedom. Maybe in another six or eight weeks, I can call up Rick. We’ve talked over the years and we were gonna refinance. Because I was unemployed and now with the COVID-19, I’m a little strapped. But I’m glad I did this with Freedom. My credit score has also come up a little bit with the stimulus check. I took care of some other bills.
Freedom also had to go to court last month about a payment. It was JCPenney or Synchrony Bank that was taking me to court. They tried to say I owe them this whole amount of money and I contacted Freedom about that. I kept getting stuff from the lawyer and I had to fax a bunch of paperwork to her. Actually, the account should've been been paid off completely. But I was told I had to go to court on April 1st and I thought it had got to be a joke. Then it was moved to May. The lawyer contacted them and took care of it. She was good about that. So I definitely would recommend Freedom to somebody else.

My sister referred me to Freedom. When I first subscribed to the program, they were really helpful. They told me step-by-step what's gonna be happening, and their rep answered all my questions. Everything went smoothly. I was comfortable with the person I was working with. They told me what the payment plan would be, but they did first ask me what I could pay, and then they gave me the amount. Three of my accounts have already been settled, and they made a structured payment where they're making monthly payments on them. Asked about this Friday's $348,00 payment. Due to the COVID19 situation I have been self-quarantined per my Dr. At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Bills are late and had to change my infusion appointment from MSKCC in NYC to Bergen, NJ to avoid being in the worst area for COVID19.

I have been a customer of Freedom Debt Relief since 2016. My first two credit cards were negotiated pretty quickly, so I looked forward to “graduating” on time. FDR negotiated my third credit card for 50% of the initial debt just like the first two. I was both grateful and excited. As the third installment of three was just about to go out, I got a notice that the law firm holding my debt went out of business. Long, ridiculous story short is: it disappeared for 12+ months freezing the money that I paid in the first two installments along with it. No one could find it or tell me if I was to get the money I had already paid back. Subsequently, it froze my fourth, and last credit card debt as well so my accounts were literally in no man’s land while FDR tried to locate the lost debt.
I called many many times and every time I was treated like a new customer even though my story and communications were logged in my file. Very few representatives were forthcoming about what FDR knew. The lost debt finally surfaced 18 months later in April 2019. The debt has still NOT been negotiated because Moss law firm in Lubbock, Texas refuses to negotiate. Meantime, my fourth credit card has finally been negotiated mind you 2+ years after the first Chase credit card was negotiated. Why? No one will say. According to FDR that has lost my respect and trust now insists they offered Chase six different offers over the last 12 months and 75% was the best the negotiators could do. Tack on FDR’s 23% fee and looky there, I am paying 100% of my debt FOUR years later! Wow! What a deal!
The best part is entering FDR and refusing to pay my credit cards, as they expect you to do, plummeted my credit score from 800 to 600. I still have not recovered my credit score even though I have settled three out of the four debts I submitted back in 2016. My advice: do NOT enter into this “partnership” with FDR. If they don’t have top notch negotiation skills which in my case they have clearly shown they do not, then the credit cards have all the power, so why pay FDR 23% in fees and sacrifice your credit score for very little savings and a whole lot of bad credit headache.

I was confused about the graduation date listed as it did not match the number of payments to go listed. Also wanted to know the pay off amount, The graduation date listed was a year and a half out yet I only have 11 payments remaining. Everything was explained to me and cleared up. The CSR was very nice and patient. I do wish that the dashboard had a total pay off amount listed on it.

Someone recommended Freedom Debt Relief. Our debt consultant seemed to have all the right answers on everything that we asked him, and he explained everything to me. As far as payment plan, they came up with an amount. They kind of went through everything, and they said, “This is probably what it would be and how long it would be.” I thought a couple of them would be done sooner, but they’re a little bit longer than I thought it would be. I had a big claim that was a little bit higher than I thought, so we had upped my payment. Right now, it’s a little tough because of all that’s going on right now. You can defer like a couple of weeks, but I hate to do that. If something doesn’t make it in, then I might have to start all over, and I don’t wanna do that.
I've been with the program for almost two years. I’m probably paying more than my mortgage payment for my debt relief program. That’s why I wanna get it cleared up. I never wanna stiff anybody on anything, but it seems like we just couldn’t catch up with the credit cards. Freedom is working out because I know we got a couple paid off.

I was referred by my union to Freedom Debt Relief. My debt consultant is a really good guy. He walked me through the process. He explained to me the detail mostly how it works. He calculated all of my debts together and he told me how long it was gonna be my graduation date and how much my payment plans were. I feel very comfortable working with him. He was very professional. It seems like he's been doing this for a while. So, his professionalism was what woke my attention.
As far as the payment plan, we got into an agreement. As of now, we already did about three settlements, and I got three more to go, and then I'm almost there. Two settlements happened one month after another. So, it was really quick. Working with Freedom is a breather. In the beginning, the interest rates were choking me to a point where I thought I was not gonna be able to pay all of my existing debt, and then I had so many outcomes in life. I had a government shut down. Before the government shut down, I had medical expenses and I had fallen sick. Before I got sick, I was in student debt. So, it was like three things back to back that happened to me. Plus, my rent got high. I live in California. I thought I was not gonna get out of it until I was referred to the program. I recommended Freedom to a friend a few years ago, and they're also doing very well.

On 4/3 I contacted Freedom and found out that if I could pay $1100.00 and I had several thousand that was already there for finalizing some of my last accounts that it would with the $1100.00 pay off and no more monthly installments. Just happy.

I have been affected by the corona virus shutdown. I had a big concern about my Freedom debt payments. I don't have any income coming in because the company I work for had to shut down. Take a real good look at your finances and think before you hire these people. I went thru Hurricane Harvey and like 90% of the people the insurance companies did not cover the devastation. I made a big mistake and charged a bunch on my credit cards, I was undergoing chemo at the time and had to get my house livable. I went to Freedom Debt Relief, I had NEVER been late on a payment for anything. They told me to stop making my payments so that everything would go into collections, then they could negotiate. Granted they did save me almost $12,000.00 but in the process it absolutely trashed my credit.
My credit scores were in the 400's. Then the next big bang comes, at the end of the year all the companies they negotiated with sent me a 1099C and I had to pay taxes on the savings as additional income. Then they hand you over to another company called Freedom Settlement that gives you this big song and dance about how great you are at paying your bills and they are going to loan you the money upfront so your credit score will start coming back faster. Then all of a sudden you realize you are paying back $30,500.00 for the money they negotiated.
When I first contacted Freedom Debt Relief I had good credit and could (and should have) taken out a consolidation loan at about 5% interest and paid the cards off but I didn't. They are going to come on here and rebut this review by saying they told about all of this. Well it's true, they did, but imagine having gone through a hurricane and going through chemo at the same time and you're a great candidate to listen to anything that might help. They tell you these things are going to happen but they tell you so fast and make it sound so good that in desperate times you're ready to do anything.
I'm only leaving this review to let you know what the bottom line is going to be, never did I think for the next 5 years I would be paying them more than my house payment a month, my payments are $566.00 month. Please check around and find something else first. The credit companies will negotiate with you personally, you don't need to pay someone else to do it for you. I take full responsibility for using them, no one held a gun to my head but if I can save one person from this then this review was worth it. They will even pay you $250.00 to refer someone to them. I would rather save someone else from what I am dealing with, thanks for listening. If you have any other choice, and there are many, like negotiating yourself please do it.

I sent in legal paperwork work from one of my company. The First Lady that I talked to told me to go to the Clerk of Court. I told her that was why I was paying your company to settle the debt. Her comment was we will take it off your account. I told her that was not how this program was supposed to work. After arguing with her I got irritated and hung up. A couple of days I called back and talked to a different CS. He was very helpful and professional. It has been 2 weeks and I am still waiting for an answer on a settlement. I also added money to my account to help settle the settlement.

I looked debt relief up online and I went by everybody’s words. A lot of people seemed to point the number one one was Freedom, so that’s what I went with. Their customer service was wonderful. Even now, when I call and check, it’s wonderful. They all are very knowledgeable and they're very helpful with my questions. They explained everything to me in the beginning, and how long it would take. With my memory, I don’t remember anything, so every now and then, I give them a call to just go over things with me.
In the beginning, I had the same gentleman that I was talking with and he explained everything very well to me. Going through the program was scary. I never did it before, so I was nervous and wish I didn't have to do it. But it was nice that it was there to offer us a way out of a lot of headaches. Within three months, my first two debts were taken care of. I was surprised how fast it did. I didn't have that many credit cards in the program, so it’s not gonna take as long, but there was a couple that were kinda high, so that’s gonna take a little bit longer than I expected. I really am happy with everything. I feel that they cover everything when you first start and then they're there to help you throughout. When you call up and ask a question, they're there to answer. I’m very satisfied.

It was very disgusting to speak with people that didn't give a damn. They failed to do what I wanted them to do. They were very argumentative. I put enough money in my account to pay off the last two creditors and they failed to pay them in a timely manner which cost me money and refinancing my home. I absolutely love Freedom. I put seven things in, two have already been paid off, four are in process, and there’s only one left hanging. I like the dashboard ‘cause I can see my deposits and my next payment. There’s only been a couple of things that’s kinda crazy, and it’s like they did a settlement and the first 12 payments were $1 a piece. Then they did a second settlement and the payments were $10 a piece for the first 12 months. They’re both paying off in 24 months so it just looks like, how will I pay this off in 24 months if I’m paying $1 in 12 months? But they got it worked out. Then the things I’m paying off is what’s gonna be put into the fund for the next 12 payments to be higher. The guy that signed me up, Adam, explained most of that to me. I had a lot of questions and he had the answers so I kinda knew what to expect.

We went through Freedom Debt, and they were talking about four years, and we went into the Consolidation Plus program and it looks like it might be less than three years now. Freedom's reps have been upfront and very helpful. The only thing was they really didn't give us how they handled the fees that they pay the company. Their process has been pretty straightforward though. We're down to two accounts right now, which is very good. They’ve settled six. And they're supposed to probably settle the other two this month. We had like $50,000 worth of credit cards, and as I understand is that was the amount I was gonna have to pay back to Freedom Debt, which was not the case. I paid the amounts that were settled. It appears to be a lot less.

So far I am pleased with service. Have no complaints to date. System keeps moving me forward to reach the ultimate goal of taking care of items that I got behind on. I expect to accelerate the payments in the near future to pay off sooner and get my feet back under myself. Only have one account that has not negotiated so far but expect they will fall in line in the near future.

I am a retiree and I only have this income which I receive once a month. Before I sign up with Freedom Debt Relief I had 21 accounts that I was paying. Which after I paid those accounts I only had a couple of hundred dollars. Now by signing up I only have 11 accounts that I will be responsible for, Freedom Debt Relief will take care of the the other 10 accounts. By them taking care of those 11 accounts I will have more funds for the rest of the month which is a very big worry off my mind. The reps from Freedom Debt Relief seemed really friendly. I got a girl that really talked me through it, and let me think about it and did not balk. I told her I wanted a week or two to really consider and she never called me back. I had several others that I called and they were calling me and sending me emails. And so, I just went with Freedom Debt Relief. I've been very pleased with them. They just didn’t bug me.
Their service has been great. Everything has been positive. I did have to put my payment off, back. A couple of years ago, we had a little financial crunch and so I missed. I extended it for like two payments. They were really comfortable with that and didn’t ask me to raise my payment. I did have one little thing that did happen too, with one of the cards that they had sent me a letter and was filing suit. I sent the copy of it and never heard anything else.
Everything was fine, which it was one of the accounts that was waiting for pending on settlement, and they turned around and told me they probably thought if they sent me something, served me papers, that I would just pay it instead of contacting them. But that’s only the other things I've had. Working with them has made life easier ‘cause I didn’t have to have all the credit card people nagging me, not being able to pay as much as they wanted. That was a big blessing. No more phone calls and no more nasty letters.

FDR was recommended by one of the people that I work with. They communicate well. Each and every time that they do a settlement for me, they send me an email. They said our program would be four years, but the way it's looking, it doesn’t look like it's gonna be four years. They have this website where you can go on and it has videos of how things work. On this website, they also have people who has been through the program and they tell you what they have been through. They reassure you that this company is gonna take care of your problem. I have been in the program for almost an entire year and then got into the consolidation loan program. So my pros/cons will be on the Freedom Debt Relief program. Pros: very knowledgeable staff. Always there to help either by phone or email. Helpful videos on website as well. They did what they said they would do, help negotiate down my total amount due significantly.
Cons: something not discussed enough is that you will owe taxes on the amount they get your CC reduced. It came up in questions but now that I'm getting the tax statements it's a significant thing to take in consideration. They stated I might be able to get the IRS to excuse these debts.. To qualify you basically need to be insolvent (including house, cars, any property). Overall it has been a stressful situation that I got my self into and with the help from FDR I got out of and I am currently building my credit back up with the loan program. 3 stars instead of 4 is due to the fact that I am now owing a lot in taxes which, if I knew, might have swayed my decision to do this.

Requested an update on open accounts and never received anything. Have an account that is in advanced negotiation, but no one can tell me anything about it. I don't want a sheriff showing up at my door again - very embarrassing and I was led to believe that that would be rare, however when I call in with my concerns - the people I have spoken with don't seem to care and can't tell me what is going on. Just want to say that its always a possibility that they will file a law suite. I feel like I was mislead when I signed up because I was lead to believe that you all had relationships with everyone and they negotiated with you all and that ending up in a suit was rare. I am very disappointed. Don't know if accounts have been even contacted to work with them and no one can give me any information on the status of my outstanding accounts.

When I did my research, I thought that out of all the companies, FDR was a better company. I thought that they would handle my situation more appropriately than other companies. I had credit card debt and they estimated that the program would be 24 to 48 months long. The rep was hands down professional. They were easygoing and understanding. They make me as a client feel very comfortable with the company. I have friends that joined other companies and they're having problems. FDR is a better company. Two years with them and I'm happy.
I live in New York and right now, everything is a struggle. I have about a year to go and I'm debt-free, but I might need a little help for at least 90 days. FDR took my payment out last week. And a week or two before the following payment is taken up, I have to call them up. But I'm sure I have no issues. They communicate and send me an email to keep me in the loop as far as that situation that’s going on with the virus.

I saw the advertisements of Freedom Debt Relief online and the person who helped me in the beginning was excellent, encouraging, knowledgeable and attentive. I got myself into this mess but what she told me was meaningful and a good thing enough for me to go ahead and sign up for the program. I have a very good income, even though I'm retired. I make quite a bit of money but I had some setback from certain things and I ended up generating a lot of credit card debt, which I couldn’t catch up with. Had it not been for the interest, I would have been able to make the payments without any problems. I wasn’t getting anywhere and I was just throwing money on interest. So, I said that this has gotta stop. I pay FDR a nice amount of money where they can negotiate with these people minus the interest. I have plenty to live off of and I've been doing well financially although I don’t like the way my credit score has dropped.

Freedom Debt Relief seemed like they had quite a lot of experience in the industry based on reviews I had seen. There were others I spoke to and they seemed a little more fly-by-night -- FDR seemed more trustworthy. Everything has been fine with them. The gentleman I talked to was very pleasant and helpful. I had one question that he answered immediately without even me having to ask the question. He was very knowledgeable. I had text messages whenever I had a settlement, so that was helpful. If it was just in my email, I wouldn’t necessarily see it right away, so that was good. While I wish the fees were not as high as they are, it is still better than the alternative. I felt less stressed going through this.

High settlement fees making the final of some settlements just as much as the total would of been before settling. This isn’t made clear when signing up. The plus is many have settled faster than expected.

Representatives are rude and as a customer, these people are not transparent with their communications. It’s over four years after the fact and I’m still paying Freedom Debt Relief. I was told that it would be four years and no more.

Everything sounded good when we started with FDR. Their fees and their interest rates and everything else were way too high, which I didn’t realize when I started it. I got a consolidation loan through them to get everything paid off earlier. And now, I'm paying that back and with the interest and I’m gonna wind up paying more than I owed to begin with.
What they paid back is $37,000. If I follow out the whole program with the interest and everything, I’ll wind up paying about 100,000 back to them. Other than that they did get everything negotiated but I basically paid through the nose to get them to do it. I’d advise anybody that’s looking at it to really look close before they jump.

The rep I spoke with from FDR sounded like she knew what she was doing. She never shamed me because of my situation. She told me that everybody has been in my situation and that I should give her a bit of time and FDR would see what they could do. She called me back within 20 minutes and told me that things are okay and that I have been accepted. She was really nice. Now, I pay them monthly. Things have been going well.

I am the one that raised my deposit but I didn’t know this Virus was knocking me out of work that’s why I wanted to lower my deposit to 625 not 650. I called to have it reduced to 625 and he done it for 1 month. I wanted it done permanent. It’s really got me pissed. I am waiting on another service to deal with.

The consultants from Freedom Debt Relief are really nice. They said they were familiar with the virus but they were not told what to do about all this. But on my part, I'm making sure that they know what’s going on with me. I've been talking to them about lower payments because I'm outta work. There’s nobody there where I work and I hear it’s a big mess. I keep calling and can't get through. I've already filed the paperwork online and nothing is happening. It kept saying pending. So right now, I don’t have anything in there to put in since I'm not getting a paycheck.
I've talked to Freedom Debt Relief a couple of times already. They took out $20. I took out 80, then I took out another 20, and the guy went on the computer and he took the first one out. Then they proceeded to say that they'd have to renegotiate with the companies. I told them that I should get a check, hopefully, which I was not really counting on ‘cause I was so messed up with this. Then the 15th would be good with them but if not, they told me to call in so they wouldn't pull something out that was not in there. Their service has been all good. I only have two left and then I have Walmart because they've negotiated with that right.

Updated on 09/03/2021: My credit card debt was overwhelming my budget, but Freedom Debt Relief came to the rescue and negotiated debt reduction on my behave. It reduced the amount that I had to repay, saving thousands. Now I am back on track with my budget, and can manage without floundering financially. It's a slow process, but it is working. I should be done with the madness in a couple of years ...can't wait for it to be over.

I called Freedom Debt Relief and they were top-notch. They laid out a plan and were very specific as to how they were gonna go about helping me. They also informed me of when they were about to make arrangements with specific creditors that I had, then I would give them a call and tell them to go forward with that. And they would take care of it. They were wonderful and I got no complaints with them.
The guy I dealt with was a very nice gentleman and their reps were very professional. They were always respectful, too and they would explain things in great detail. And for things that I didn't understand, they would take the time to break it down so I could understand it. When I would call, they would say they understood my concern then they would explain to me what was going on. At the end of the conversation, my mind would be at ease as to whatever questions I had. In the end, working with Freedom Debt Relief made me realize not to live beyond my means anymore, so that's good.

At first, I questioned whether I had made the correct decision. Walking through this, I see how deeply credit card usage is deceptive. I end up paying through interest and at times late fees that has a detrimental effect on my life, bondage to my creditors. They become richer while I become poorer, enslaved to their chains. Hello. My experience with FDR at first was good and was very happy to join. Time has passed and I have had economic difficulties and in no way have they wanted to help me with the payments although I report I will not have the funds. Finally somebody this week helped me with doing a change of biweekly to monthly. But, once again overdrafted my account when I told them I needed help because the payment for the 27th would not go through due to events being cancelled because of the coronavirus.
I believe you should be more sensible in this difficult times with people who are self employed and depend on whether or not a client contracts you. I thought you would work with me better but it seems you are not willing to. I am looking into other companies to see if I change.. As usual everything was wonderful in the beginning and as we went along, things went to normal where rude people attend you through messages, mails and calls. I am not comfortable with the company anymore but while I find a better solution I have no other option. And dont call because I will not answer. Only emails. Maria **

So far my relationship with FDR has been excellent. They answer my questions quickly and clearly. I did miss a chance to accept a settlement yesterday. The offer was made with a call to my cell phone. The best way to contact me is by email because I sometimes leave the cell phone in the car. We screen calls on the landline. I may not recognize a call from you.

I sent over the letter from the court then it said someone would contact me. No one ever did. When I check on it a couple weeks later I was told the league team declined giving me representation. I guess I will have to figure it out on my own since you won’t help me with my Discover account.

I have seen Freedom Debt Relief on TV a lot and then it would pop up on my computer once in a while. They had people saying that they were on it and they were very happy. They sounded like they would work for you, so I told my wife, “Let’s do it,” We've been with them for a year and a half now, and they are doing everything they said they would do. It is working out fine and we are happy with them. They also keep us informed of what is going on.
We have one complaint, however. On one bank that they deal with, they put down the full amount that they pay them off for our taxes. They sent back the full amount that they discarded and that we did not pay them a penny. We called up and they said they do that all the time. It should have been only 3,000, but they put 6,000 down. Now we are stuck. We have to pay taxes on the full amount. FDR tried, but they could not get any decent answer from them. So, I told FDR to forget about it. It is, after all, not their fault that that happened. Overall, I’m very satisfied with them and I would recommend them to anybody.

Everyone from Freedom Debt Relief has been very pleasant. I felt very comfortable working with them. There was only once incident where I called and didn’t get an answer about it. But most times, I got an answer whenever I had a question with stuff. I've been doing it for about a year or so. There was an occasion where I had to skip a month when I didn’t have the money to do it and that would have bearing on it. I was hoping to be a little farther along, but I could not afford to put any more money into it. I could only put in the minimal but at least, they did negotiate two things for me. There are some months where I'm really struggling but I'm still trying to do it because I want to. It’s been very difficult because my mortgage company has been hounding me with trying to catch up with my mortgage payment.
As a whole, Freedom has not harassed me and they've been able to work with me. Even when I told them I didn’t have the funds available, they told me that I had to try and put something on because I was short in the negotiating amount that was needed. I ended up putting a couple of dollars there and then I started back on schedule. Also, I need to call them today because I don’t have the funds in my account to cover this month. This is the second time. I'm gonna try to at least save something, but I know I can’t. I don’t have the total amount yet.

I’ve been dealing with FDR for some time now and although I missed payments due to financial restraints, I’ve been on target for 9 months and have a substantial amount in my dedicated account. I can’t understand why some debts can’t be paid off in full. Another item I have is I’ll be paying taxes to IRS due to taxable income from the financial institution reporting to them and I’ll have to pay the full amount, not the settled amount which I was never informed from FDR. At this rate It seems I’ll never get out of debt. Can someone call me to discuss, or I’ll stop my program and find another solution with another company.

Time it took to negotiate was too long. I had money available to payoff things entirely. You don’t save a lot of money because of the fees charged but you do save peace of mind with not being harassed by creditors. It’s not a money savings program it’s a bill paying program. FDR does not have a plan to help with hurt credit after program.
