I had a couple of hardships and it got to a point where I couldn't pay my credit card bills. That's why I went with Freedom Debt Relief. And I'm glad I did. I just took a chance and it ended up being one of the best. Their reps have been really good to me. When I call them, they're very interested in what I say and I don't get on hold very much at all. They're always there to help and they're right there when I need them. They always want me to pay in advance, but I don't have any money. But everything else is working out great. I've been in the program for around four years and I'll be paid off in November. I love it. Freedom Debt Relief is great and I've had several people that I told about them.

I had a guy from Freedom call me and he was explaining everything to me. He was very nice and very understanding so I thought they were the ones I wanna go with. The service is great. They offer all these services that if something comes along and something happens, they're willing to help through that, too. But they could try to find a way of settling things a little bit quicker because mine’s gonna be five years. Other than that, I've been with them for about two years now and I don't have anything bad to say about them at all.
My husband and I were struggling for a long time with credit card debt and it was like a lifesaver for us to get through this program. It has helped us get out of debt and we don't have people calling us all the time. It has really put a lot of positive attitude into our life. Also, anytime I've ever had to call them about a problem, they're right there and they're so nice.

Freedom Debt Relief has helped me begin resolving my debt at pretty good percentages but unfortunately, it's taking longer for me to be out of the program than was originally told. I started the program in January 2019 and I should be done by 2023 but now it says I won’t be graduating until sometime in 2024. I also haven’t really seen my credit go up.

It took a while to get this program with Freedom Debt Relief going. And it still is awfully slow. I thought it was only supposed to take like three or four years. But to me, it's almost going five years now. They keep adding on and I’m not really happy about it.

The representative was very helpful, concerned, and caring when I voiced my frustration with recent credit report and score changes. Actually the decrease in my score was as a result of the creditors' reporting and not because of any action on behalf of FDR. I am paying more to Freedom Debt Relief than I am to creditors. The attorney are not helpful as I had to go to court and represent myself which is double the cost of the program. I am not satisfied with the program and would like to end it sooner rather than later.

From everything I researched, Freedom had the best ratings and reviews. They are easy to deal with, which really proved to be true. I got the credit consolidation program and they did what they were supposed to do. It was more stand off and let them do their thing and then they would contact me via email or text and I'd reply. Then it was set in motion and I could see online and through the dashboard. So it was pretty much a streamlined, easy, transparent process.
We kinda tallied everything up and they gave me a couple of number options as far as payment plan per month and set which one was gonna fit for me best. We settled on an initial one and it only moved up a couple of dollars one time because I had some bills that had shifted their due dates in the month, which then affected my available funds at a certain point when the assets were supposed to come out. The negotiator was able to talk to the ones that were in negotiations or under contract if they were comfortable of moving it, and some increased by a couple of bucks. But it was pretty straightforward and easy to do. I'm pretty satisfied with my experience. Hopefully I never have to repeat that process again. But I've learned a few tricks throughout the last couple years.

I’ve been with Freedom’s program for about six months and I’m satisfied with how they negotiated the accounts for me. Creditors aren’t calling all the time. I told them who my creditors were and they told me how much to pay a month in order to reach my goal. My timeframe is 48 months and I'm just barely getting started with them but they’ve negotiated with one so far.

The person I talk to sold me on the phone by saying if you pay the amount discussed that by debt would be down and better yet in a year or less my credit which was good by the way would be the same and or even better and this would be possible simply by making my payments. This has been totally false.

Overall I am happy but recently there was a mistake made that really cost me. I had called to change my payment date and increase my amount. This was done but he did not cancel the previously scheduled payment date and it cost me money with the bank because of a bounced payment which left me too short in funds for July.

My husband and I are just finishing 4 years with Freedom and are just thrilled to be at the end of this long journey. I would say our experience would rate a 9 out of 10. Every single person we dealt with has always been kind, courteous, knowledgeable and understanding. I never felt as if I was being rushed off the phone or that the person was annoyed that I was asking an unimportant question. Never! I didn’t give a 10 rating for one reason! When we first joined we spoke to I would guess a salesman whose job it was to convince us to join! He was super nice, bright and he was the reason we signed up. We believed in him!
The problem was that we asked him if when we saved money on an account did we have to claim that money on our income tax. We were told by friends who had used different companies to consolidate their debt that they had to do this and it wound up costing them a lot of money. So we wanted to be certain this would not be a problem and he assured us it wouldn’t be and if we did get forms from the IRS all we had to do was have our tax preparer fill out a certain form and the problem would be solved! Of course that wasn’t true and for 4 years we had to count the money we saved on settled accounts as income and we wound up paying taxes every year we were in Freedom! But even with that we were happy with the results, paid off 48 credit cards, improved our credit immensely, and we learned how to manage our money better!
We never missed a payment, paid $2900 to Freedom a month and made sure everything was running smoothly. I was involved 100% in the entire process! I don’t think it can work any other way! I would recommend Freedom to anyone who has a spending problem! As a matter of fact, my daughter and her husband are enrolled and almost at the end of their program. For me and my husband, Freedom was a lifesaver without any doubt! It taught me so much about all the mistakes I made over the years and we are cured now of our bad habits and decisions! Updated on 03/03/2021: I called Freedom Debt Relief and from what I was told by Jade, the person I talked to, it sounded better than I believe it is right now. He made it sound like it was going to be such a relief and so much easier. After I got signed up and a few calls later, I tried to call him and got told that he no longer works there. So, he made me feel comfortable enough. I was hoping it'd still be him I was working with. There's not one particular person working on my account like they did when I talked to him. So, it feels like whoever you call, you lay and look it up and that's who you're talking to.
I'm retired and from what they take out of my check, it was a big chunk. So, I hadn't paid anything else with what was left and it was hard. It was a tight squeeze but I'm doing okay with it now. I’m managing alright. I've never had to go through this before and I'm disappointed with myself that I had to. Because usually, I always manage to keep everything paid. This one is still paying people but it wasn't what I went through before. I'm down to one, if not two bills left and then I'll be done as far as all negotiations on anything.
Original Review: So far I'm happy with the service. I don't have to worry about handling calls from creditors. Money is tight especially when emergency arises. Had to have roof repaired, it was tight but I'm handling it a lot easier than if I had to worry about paying other creditors.

Updated on 02/18/2021: Although letting our debts go past due has killed our credit score, the stress relief from not receiving many collection calls everyday has been wonderful. The couple debts that we received court action on were handled so efficiently that we didn't have to go to court and they are now being paid. It's been so easy for us to get out of debt. I was hesitant to start the process with Freedom initially because I read mixed reviews. I asked the first contact about them and he told me upfront that there were ideal situations, imperfect situations, and some that just did not work with the program. I understood that my credit score could suffer during negotiations and I knew patience was required. Also, there are fees. I settled a very small debt for more than the settlement letter the creditor sent me, (once the Freedom fees were assessed), but I was able to roll it in to my monthly payment, avoid the stressful negotiations, and know that my settlement was covered by the deposits in my dedicated account.
Can you do it without Freedom? Yes and no. I could probably have settled some of the accounts myself, but one in particular was settled as part of a bulk negotiation for a small percentage of the balance owed. That one account made all of them worth it. I have found all of the representatives I have contacted to be professional and flexible. They sincerely want to help. I am very happy with the process and look forward to my “graduation” date.

When I first joined I was told about 3 years. When all is said and done it will be about 5-6 years. Maybe with amount of debt my expectations were high but this is what I was told. Otherwise, everything else has been good.

I even received a summons and they settled within a week. It is far less stressful than dealing with out-of-control finances. Original Review: I had a lot of reservation going into this program. I didn't know if it would work or if it was a scam. It is working out great so far and I'm only 6 months into the program. It is very easy to do and I like that all of the information can be found online very easily. It is easy to understand the process and the communication has been great. I will say I have not been as pleased with their sister company Freedom Consolidated Loans. I was offered a loan and then turned down due to debt ratio. They should have done a little bit more homework before getting my hopes up. It was very disappointing considering they already should have my information. Why make an offer and then rescind. Very discouraging. Apart from that, it has been a pleasant experience.

Freedom Debt Relief has been very understanding during this COVID-19 crap. It has polarized my little small business and they've been very understanding with me that I'm not able to pay what I was. I am still giving money towards my debt. It was kinda rough at first, getting used to the process as creditors are gonna try to bulldoze you and try to scare you while Freedom Debt Relief is working out things for you. But the process is well worth it. I understand the stipulations when it comes down to letting them know ahead of time whenever payment is getting ready to be due. I try my best in a timely manner to let them know that I'm able to make the payment or when I'm not able to make it. So I don't have any surprises and have overdraft fees coming out of my account that I cannot afford. They've been there for me and I have a graduation date of next year.

My score was 769 and because of two issues that happened a little over a year ago, they quickly went really down. It went down into the mid to high 400s. I got a text on my touch phone from Freedom Debt Relief and I decided to give them a call and see what was going on. The reps are very kind and always helpful. I wanted to go with a debt relief provider that was a solid company that I know will take care of me. I did background research and saw that Freedom had a good reputation so I went with them. I listed all my debts for their reps and they set up a plan for me. We talked for a bit and we came up with an amount for me to pay. We've gone from there and things have been very simple. I usually get a text from them saying that they're going to make an agreement with one of my creditors and they're asking me to approve it. A year after I enrolled, I sent them a text to increase the amount I was paying when my finances changed.
It would be nice though if they could give me an update periodically regarding where I am in the process. It would be nice if I could log into my account and see a bar graph saying I'm 2/3 of the way. I prefer to find this information rather than talk to somebody about it. Regardless, I'm very happy with their service. I recommend Freedom.

The customer service was great. I haven't had any difficulty whatsoever even when something comes up. One time I had to add another account to it and I was out of town. I didn't have all my information in front of me, but I was able to look it all up in my phone. Freedom Debt Relief worked with me and I was able to do it. At first I was getting a couple of emails and I didn't know if it was all Debt Relief or somebody else that works there. I was confused at first who the email was from. But the process was real easy once you got everything done. I was really afraid at first that it was just a scam and it wasn't gonna help me, but it has helped me. I enrolled in for program several years ago. I have made my payments and they have set up a dashboard to watch my progress. The website shows no additional payments are due so I called customer services and they said I owe two more payments. Enough is enough. Their response when I called in was that the website dashboard is an estimate. It doesn’t say that anywhere. If the website that shows my account is completed then I can only conclude I am done. Why would they say I owe more money? Such a ripoff. What can I do?

Have been in the program for three months and and they already managed to have lre seven out of eleven in the process for being settled and three more are targeted for settlement. That's amazing.

I was online, and when I put a search for consolidation, they were the first ones that came up. I clicked on the link to see the information. 21 years ago, I did consolidation and bankruptcy, so I knew more or less what they wrote. When I clicked on it, somebody called me and we spoke. We had a consultation over the phone and I liked that they got to me very quickly. They gave me a good rate. I put in my eight cards, and I don't pay that much, and it's for two and a half years.
So far, everything has been good. I feel that they handle the account very professionally. Whatever I didn't understand, they took out time to explain it. They were very calm and they were very patient with me. They explained everything to the tee. It's like there was nothing I couldn't understand 'cause they were very clear with their words.

The rep explained to me that my graduation from debt might be sooner than originally expected, because FDR will negotiate with creditors to accept less than agreed upon to close the account. She also explained ways I could restore my FICO score, which currently shows very late or delinquent payments, even though it's because I stopped paying during the settlement process but will not owe money in another few months. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable.
It has been a challenging four years. One major bank issued a subpoena to get their money, even though they had received information about my FDR account and a plan to repay them. Luckily, FDR has a legal team that intervened. That bank got its money and dropped the court case. My wife and I are happy to use a professional company to help us eliminate our debts in a legal, organized fashion. We have saved money without being hounded or shamed by creditors. Our financial obligations will be fulfilled and our credit rating should be excellent again in a few months.

We found Freedom Debt Relief through a search online and one of the reasons why we went with them over some of the others were the reviews that other customers had left about how well Freedom Debt Relief worked with them and other people's experiences with them. The process for getting started was very simple. They walked us through every step of the way and told us what to expect. They mentioned in going through the process that we would have to stop paying the things that we were paying on so that they were then behind and they could work with the companies to settle.
They told us how to respond when we got letters in the mail, when we got calls from debt collectors and where to send that information to. They answered any and all questions that we had. We haven't made it to the end of any of the settlement plans, but every single one of the debts that we had with them, other than one, has been put into a settlement plan already. Freedom has been an amazing company to go through.

Once we got everything started, it was just a wait period of a month or so before everything took place or when they heard anything back from the creditors. I had 10 on the program and I'm already through with six. So, they went fast and the process wasn't bad at all. I had more credit cards than I had money. They could settle your debt for half or 60% of what it is. You can see it and they show you a breakdown of how many payments they're gonna have with the creditor. It starts off with a small payment, then it'll go into a bigger payment. It would tell you exactly how many payments you have and once it's paid off, it's paid off. They give you the exact graduation date of when everything will be done. It's no joke and they're not a scam.
The customer service at Freedom Debt Relief is okay. If you have a question and you call, somebody answers the phone. They resolve the issue over the phone if you need to add a creditor or postpone a payment. They stop the payment and they'll get it when you tell them to get it. They're good about doing that without a penalty so, I don't have any problems with the company at all. If you have an issue, they don't have a problem with helping you out. The program works. It's less stressful with me having all the credit cards that I had. The money that I give them every month is enough to pay what they need to pay and I've seen results. You get letters from the creditor saying your balance has been paid in full. I've got a couple of letters from a couple of creditors behind that. So, it's fine.
Your credit is going to suffer a little bit and you find that out in the midst of all of that. But if FDR wanna be forthcoming and tell people that upfront and give them the option, that would be good or even better. If you need this particular situation to go away, a debt relief program is not a bad thing to do. Once your credit is fixed and you've established payment history with the other credits you have left, your credit score will go up anyway. So, those charge-offs are there, but eventually, it'll get better or you just figure out a way to get them off your credit report. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with the company at all. What they said they were gonna do, they did.

I enrolled in FDR in June 2018. I couldn't be more pleased with the settlements so far. When AE sued me there were lawyers available to handle the settlement. I wouldn't have a clue how to proceed. I am not able to make large deposits but they seem to be able to work with what I can squeeze from budget. I had a medical procedure last year and maxed the one credit card I have and used all the money in checking. Customer Service allowed me to reduce payment for 2 months to get caught up. I would recommend FDR to anyone who has abused their credit cards;

FDR received enough money to pay our accounts off in full months ago. They calculated it with us. They never did a lump sum payout and ended up originating more costs. They continue doing it to this day. After putting over 4 grand on the account and waiting a month for resolve we called and was told the reason they didnt request the lump sum was because we needed another 300 something dollars. I was upset but I paid it and was told it was being submitted for escalation.
After a couple of weeks I called to check on things and was advised I needed to pay another 170 something dollars. I argued it this time and the guy went over the account and came up with the amount with me which I honestly cannot fathom how the last 2 people got it wrong. I paid the amount and was told it would be processed for escalation again. Weeks later I call again because we are in the process of buying a home and need proof the accounts are paid by closing. Well I'm advised that I owe another 90.00 or so. I told the girl I wanted a full breakdown because this is not right at all. She breaks it down for me and says, "O you're right. You do have enough. I will submit it for escalation." I explain the whole past with her and she just apologizes and says this time it will be good.
I wait 1 week and call back. I get a young guy on the phone who tells me I owe more money and I tell him, "No. I was promised last week I was good and that everything would be handled." I ask him for a breakdown and he hangs up on me. I get on the chat feature and talk to someone and she breaks it down and says she sees enough money and doesnt understand why I was told I owe more.
So now I waited almost a month I think and I called yesterday. I get a woman on the phone who really upset me. Instead of finding a solution for the fact that they keep adding more money to my accounts she just mocks me by continuously saying how she understands how buying a home can be so stressful. No, I'm stressed because I'm being robbed by this company. She tells me they are nonprofit and dont make anything off of my program continuing and their goal is to close it out, but then tells me the reason my fees keep going up and my lump sums are being rejected by their bank is because I'm being charged fees each month for the program. They take 21.95 per month. She advised me to put a couple hundred on the account to make sure theres enough money. By time their bank gets my request it will still have enough and they will refund me any extra.
I literally cried in so much anger on the phone with her. I advised her how I've been down numerous times. This is the last deposit needed and yet here I am again being told I need another 75.00. I literally feel trapped in this program and I'm scared to even put more money down at this point because I am constantly told lies. When you talk to FDR you are not talking to their bank. They will tell you they are nonprofit and they make nothing off of you. That's because the bank does. I think its crossroads bank. And the settlement fees are crazy. Between settlement fees and the monthly fees you pay more. I dealt with that because they were doing the leg work for me, but now they are sitting on my money and just racking up fees. It is not right at all what they have done to us. And the fact that they can see this and they wont make it right is just beyond me.
Also before I talked to the last lady I talked on chat and was told they were reaching out to my creditors for lump sum payout but they werent responding. They advised me that I could reach out to them myself and I could request the money from my FDR account in that amount and pay it myself. Me and my husband called Capital One and they advised us that they cant negotiate with us because FDR has power over our account now but they talk to FDR daily and take lump sums all the time. They looked and seen that no one had reached out to them from FDR. So we were completely lied to. This is the most awful feeling.
We are coming up on closing on our home and we will have no proof of our accounts being paid off. We are looking at March of 2021 for our last payment to a creditor and they continue taking 25.00 per pay period because it's the lowest they could put our biweekly deposits at until the accounts are paid off. So 50.00 sometimes 75.00 per month is still going into the FDR acct, so why are the fees continuing to add up every time I call. Anyways I seriously couldnt hold it in anymore so that is why I am finally writing this bad review. I hope it helps someone in the future.

I lost my job because I was sick and I had too many credit cards. I needed to get some bills paid for and I knew I was gonna fall behind. I was reading up on debt relief and I heard about Freedom on a talk show. So, I called up and they were very friendly. They helped me, so I picked them. Getting started with their program was pretty easy. They asked me how much I make and walked me through the process. They also told me what to do with the people who are calling me for money and were very timely in answering questions. You can call them any time you want and they'll talk to you. They have a law office that works with them and that's very helpful, too. I give them my money every month and they take care of my bills. I'm very glad I went through with them.
Freedom Debt Relief works with you on how much you can afford and if you feel you can afford more, then you push the payment up. It's very easy and they help you through. If you're really struggling hard or you don't have any other income, they also work with you. Right now, I feel like my bills are getting paid for. It also works that Freedom Debt Relief works with the company itself. If you owed $1,000, they'll work with it and maybe get it down to $500. I pay them a small fee, but that's worth it if they take $500 off of a bill and make it a 100. All in all, having them is a big relief and now, I don't get any phone calls and things are all taken care of. If any of my friends would need someone to help them, I would give them Freedom Debt Relief. I would tell them to talk to their reps, that they will help, and they'll feel better at the end. They'll also start learning themselves and not want any more credit cards.

If you are fighting with your creditors all the time please go to Freedom Debt Relief. I was honestly going to pay them all their money back but hardship happens. I even ask them nicely to please just let me have 0% interest so I can pay them off and they always said that is not available for you at this time. That is not Right at all. It’s OK, a lot of fees. When it’s all said and done, not really saving as much as I thought. And my credit will be ruined for quite a few years. Wish I would’ve explored more options. Then they are paired with a company that tries to get you to take a loan out and pay off Freedom Debt to help get your credit back on track. But here we go with a whole bunch more fees again.

I had a bad experience with 321Loans. They only took my money. They never made the payments so they made all my debts even worse. Then somebody told me about Freedom and originally, I thought it was them when I chose 321. I spoke to Vicente and he explained to me it's not the same thing. It's been two years since I signed up and I'm very happy with the company. They send me emails and I’m free to check what they doing with my money. They ask me where to put the money and I agree with them. When they do something, like talk to the people that I owe money to, I'm happy about it. Freedom Debt Relief is wonderful.

Freedom Debt Relief has a nice customer service. I’m okay with the company too but it takes longer to negotiate with the creditors. It would be better if they would get more into that. My due date is gonna be 2023, which is a long time. And the monthly thing is not that cheap.

I was not happy on the nllg side of things settling on an account without contacting me first and letting me know if that was ok and then my FDR account went from 22 payments left too now 40 payments.

I like the courtesy by Freedom that we were shown when I first called in, and I was more satisfied with the answers I got. What I don’t like is doing everything by computer or online. When they wanna do settlements, any correspondence, they want you to go online versus talking to a human. Everybody wants a job, but nobody does wanna work. I would've loved to see that differently because there are too many people hacking the internet and getting your information. Even though they can still hack it if you do it personally too, I just don’t like putting this stuff on the wire.
Other than that, the overall service was fantastic. I felt like they handled it well. I first spoke with a guy. Then two ladies called me afterwards because they say that you don’t get to talk to the same person again. I didn't like that too much, but they say to talk to whoever representative that answers the phone when you call in to them. They addressed everything I called back and asked. But it was just like I will have to start back over because I would get a new person when I called back in. Then afterwards, you’re tied up right now, but I’m a representative and I can handle the situation just as well as James or Suzy.
It’s a revolving door, but my children and grandchildren tried to tell me that’s the new way of doing things. But I don’t like that every time I got a new correspondence, I have to talk to a new representative. Then I got to start from scratch one, telling them who I am, and identifying who I am. To me, it’s a reprocess every time you call in versus just calling and asking me questions about all of them. It’s just I had another new person every time there's communication that you gotta explain everything back over again. It's very uncomfortable.
Still, so far, good. I have no harassing phone calls from the companies I let Freedom pay. So far, they were the best one after talking with them. I went with another company, and I spent 20-something dollars wiring off letters through FedEx to join the program which I thought was very unworthy. Then I wound up switching and going with Freedom.

About 3 months ago, paying off my credit cards seemed like a herculean task, and though I was paying the minimum required payment each month, it looked like I was not making a dent in beating down the debt. From out of nowhere, an email entered my inbox; the email was from Freedom Debt Relief, and it mentioned it could help me pay off my accumulated debt. I gave them a call, spoke with them, and we agreed on a fixed amount of money that would be debited to a specially-created account every month, while they reached out to my creditors, negotiated settlements. It may have felt like nothing was going on all that time, but when I got the email notifying me that a settlement had been reached with a creditor, that was when I appreciated the work they were doing on my behalf. I cannot wait for the next settlement notice, and the one after that, until credit card debt is behind me, once and for all.

I had a generally good experience with your company until the end when you completely blew it and missed a $5,000 account of mine that I submitted to you months ago. Then you referred me to these criminals at Consolidation Plus who have consistently lied, mislead, deceived, and now our adding numbers incorrectly and extending my payments illegally. I have called to complain to your company as well as consolidation plus. I will continue to call and tell every someone of a high enough level that something is done. My next task is to research who Chief Financial Officer is at your corporation and reach out to their office. Very dissatisfied. I signed up for Freedom Debt Relief's debt consolidation program. Back with the pandemic, it got confusing with one of their representatives. When I was asking questions, she just took it upon herself to enroll me in. When I went to enroll in one of Debt Relief’s sister programs, I couldn't due to the fact that she did what she did. Freedom Debt Relief have only paid off two of my debts. I got a couple that they're paying off right now. They settle stuff but I don't see no change in anything. I've actually considered just doing it myself. I've talked to a couple advisors who said, "You could basically do it yourself." I have been shopping around because I do pay a very high payment a month. They can work better with customers as far as their monthly payments. It was never explained that you could do monthly. They just put me in bi-weekly and when I went to go change it, they told me that I would pay more money to change to a monthly payment.

First of all, I would like to say that all customer service reps have been exceedingly kind to me. However, the follow-thru is not so good. THREE times I have been promised a complete report of ALL transactions since the day I joined FDR and I still have not received it. Also I had one more payment left to settle a debt and instead of my next deposit going towards that, it was left open and my deposits started going to a new debt and the prior one is back in negotiation, meaning I have to pay settlement fees all over again when it finally does get settled. I just feel like FDR is swindling me. Sorry.

FDR is helping me to solve several credit debt. Due to the high interest rate even I pay a big amount every month it's just feed in to pay the interest. My accountant told me about Freedom Debt Relief. Customer service was absolutely incredible. They were extremely good to me. They allowed me to take money out when I needed it for emergencies and got all my debts reduced. They also did a wonderful job whenever I contacted them. For the timeline, they gave me a specific idea based on what they thought they could do with each one of the debts. I only have one negative and that is one time when I called, I got somebody who seemed to be more interested in selling than putting more money in to get rid of the debts quicker or changing the plan. I didn't care for his attitude at all but that's only one in over five years. All my debts have been settled. FDR is just in the midst now of paying the final one and sending me back the money that was in my dedicated account.

I was trying everything before getting into this program. I really did not want to file for bankruptcy. My debt was all the way up and I wasn’t able to pay all that money. I worked with FDR's rep and interactions were excellent. Everything, like all the information and all the details, was done in almost two hours. Right now, my payment plan is way too high. It’s because I have one account that they want me to pay like 12 months. Now, I’m paying $1,240 every month. They want $720 just for that account. I didn't have any choice. Otherwise, there has been a lot of progress. My debt has been halved and I’m gonna be able to be debt-free pretty soon.

My husband received an offer to help consolidate our credit card. After he signed up was when they told us not to pay our obligations to force companies to negotiate. 3 business days is what they give you to change your mind. We did in the time frame to cancel. They following day money was taken from our account resulting in overdraft charged! This company is borderline scam unless you are receiving collection notices already.

I was not aware how much interest I was being charged by FDR. I took literally their advice to sit back and they will do the rest. Freedom's service and program have been very good for me. It took a lot of stress off of me. This last time I got a settlement, I wasn't too happy, but it is what it is. You have to do what you have to do. I didn't feel like they did me right. It wasn't Freedom's fault, but I ended up paying way more than what the thing was. Then, after I signed the paper saying that I would accept it, they called me back and told me they weren’t gonna accept it until we agreed to pay six more payments at the end of my thing. I called Freedom and they said they've never heard of anything like that before. I talked to three people.
I talked to Daniel and he was very nice. He was the one that I had always talked to. But he might be busy so then, I would just call the number and speak with whoever, and they would pull my file up. I never did talk to him about this last deal that I had with them. I didn't know a lot about it, so I figured I just had to agree with them and go on. As far as the whole thing, it's fine. This last settlement that they had to get the attorney involved was the only problem I've had. I had to get an attorney before, and it was nothing like this. It went on forever before I ever heard back from them.
The people at Freedom have all been nice to me when I call. It was just this last ordeal with the attorney that I felt like I was taken advantage of. But I'm satisfied with what I'm dealt. Daniel would say, “This is what we need. Can you afford that?” I said, “Well, I think so.” Then, he said, “So, we’ll just make it in two payments. The 1st and the 15th.” So, that's what I did. He tried to make it as easy with me only as he could. The payment was like 6000 but I've ended up paying over 10,000 for it. The quality of service has been good. Freedom has been great.

I am thrilled with Nancy **. I believe she really cares and is a wonderful encourager when you feel overwhelmed. Always accessible, either immediately or returns the email or phone call in a very reasonable amount of time. I had a problem with the first person I had contact with to review info. He had the wrong info and spoke so fast that it was hard to tell him I finally told him I was hanging up. Called Nancy and she got another person. She was much better, however; she also spoke so fast that it was hard to follow hat she was saying. I realize they have a script, but we are trying to digest what is being said. Nancy gave me info about talking with creditors and my welcome magazine gave completely different info. This is not good. She is trying to determine which info is correct. I will be glad when the creditors quit calling and we are on our way to paying them off.

Was told that payoff would be in 2 to 3 years. Now it's 4 years. Will it ever really be paid off? I'm paying 800 dollars a month!!! Seems like I would have had my debt paid by now! Too costly!!!

I had quite a few bills and I wanted to get rid of them. A company sent me something through the mail, and I started going with them, but I had to keep going to some place where I had to keep on faxing everything that I had over to them, and it was costing me quite a bit of money. Then, the woman from Freedom Debt Relief called me on a Sunday. I told the other company I wanted my money back because I decided to go with someone else. So, they sent me the money back and I went with Freedom Debt. Their debt consultants were very good.
I would have been all done with the program, but my sister had one that I co-signed for her, and I didn’t remember that I did it. It was for CareCredit. After she passed away, her husband and her son were going through taking care of all her bills, and they called me and asked me about this one. They sent me a letter from the banks that they went through with CareCredit, and I told them, “I don’t remember having anything with them.” But then the bank sent me a statement with the name of the places that she was taking money because she had cancer and she needed quite a bit of money, and she asked me to help her, which I did. I'm her sister and I felt sorry for her.
When the bank sent me the statement stating where that credit was from, then it dawned on me, I did go and I took out the credit for her. So, when I told the bank I’m responsible for it, and I took that and I put it in through debt management, and Freedom made that deal with the bank. They paid it off now. May 19th was one payment and June 19th was the final payment.
I only have Merrick Bank and Cabela's. They made the deal with it. They’re paying them a dollar a month. I had six of them that I put through and CareCredit was number seven. Merrick Bank is the last one now. It would have been paid in 2018. But what happened was I don’t have an internet and my sister put it on her internet. She was looking it up. And when they were making the settlements, they would go on the internet with her, and she’d call me and tell me that they wanna make a settlement.
With Merrick Bank, my sister was getting chemo treatments and she was very sick and she didn’t go on the computer. I called and asked her, “Did you hear anything from debt management on your computer?” She said, “You know, I'm too sick to even go and look at it.” I told her, “You know, don’t bother. I'll just call them.” When I called, the one they sent her was a settlement and they told me what it was. It was supposed to be like $194 a month for a whole year until December of that year. But when they tried it, it was too late already, so they had to put it back at the end of the book. So, that’s why that’s the last one that they're gonna be working on now. One time, they did call me and I didn’t know what they wanted. I was home but by the time I got to the phone, they hung up, and they didn’t leave any message. So, I right away called them and it was to make one of the settlements. I'm very satisfied with Freedom Debt Relief.

Before I entered into my agreement with FDR I was told I would pay off my debt in 42 months. That was June 2015. I've been advised that it will be 48 months to settle my last negotiation and I still don't have my final credit card debt even started on negotiations. 42 months??? I'm not a happy camper.

Freedom Debt Relief saved me a lot. I'm on disability and before I called them, I was paying almost $800 a month. It was a hard thing to consolidate. I’ve never had to and I’ve had a couple of people tell me not to because it would affect my credit. But either way I look at it, I can live the rest of my life in poor credit or I can get it fixed. Now, I’m paying 210 a month. They’re very patient, understanding, and helpful. They don’t get frustrated when I misunderstand and they repeat if I need to be reexplained to. Payment-wise, they go with whatever I can afford a month and they deal with the creditors however they deal with them. I’ll be in the program for almost a year now. FDR is not the best option for debt relief. The fees they charge are sometimes more the the negotiated debt. For example, if they "negotiated" debt to 50% of the original debt, their fee for that negotiation was more than the 50% that was taken from the original debt. So you end up paying more than the original amount is some instances.
Also, DO NOT make a large deposit. FDR will utilize these funds to pay their fees and not use it to negotiate the debts. For example, I made a large one time deposit of $15k. FDR used nearly half of that money to pay their fees rather than use it to negotiate my debts faster. All this after I was told if I made a large deposit it would be used to negotiate the debts faster. I say all this with the understanding that FDR is a company that has fees associated with their business/debt negotiations, but your debt relief is not their priority as they make it seem. Collection of their fees is their priority. An individual is better off negotiating their debts with creditors without the use of FDR or a similar company. Best of luck!

Best customer service! Always polite and eager to resolve questions about the program. FDR has resolved my debts for less, and quicker than I could do it on my own. If possible, I would like to see the $10.00 expedited payment submission fee eliminated. This fee adds up Over time and I feel that there are enough fees charged that the extra $10.00 fee could be eliminated. Freedom Debt Relief came to my rescue when no one else would even consider it. They saw that I had a hardship. They seen that I was being taken advantage of. I was told my monies would be withdrawn from my acct on the 17th each month. I've always received my Social Security check on or before the 15th, but for some reason it wasn't in my acct on the 16th this month so I called to ask for a delay on withdrawing my monies cause I didn't want a insufficient chg and I was told there was nothing she could do, said I should of called sooner, how can I call sooner when I was expecting my deposit at any time. Plus I called the day before you're suppose to withdraw the money. That should of been plenty of time. I asked her to close my acct. She kept saying, "But you're going to stop all the progress." I said, "No you are causing it because you won't stop the withdraw." I had to tell her several times to close my acct. I want a check be mailed to me or deposited in my acct for my acct Balance of $256.61 immediately, I'm so upset for the way I was treated.

Due to being out of work since March, because of coronavirus, I had to decrease my monthly payment. The gentleman was kind, understanding and very helpful. He was knowledgeable and gave me additional information which put my mind at ease.

My debt was settled and saved my family several thousand dollars. The staff was helpful each and every time I called or interacted with them. I wish the fees were less as the 21% is a bit painful when you are already in debt. I know this group has to make money, but I recommend you reduce the fees to help folks more in reducing debt.
