Everything is fine with Freedom but I've been asking them to pay the credit cards off faster. They wanna drag it up to 2023 and I don't want to drag it up that long. I have one more they haven't settled. I'm about to pay it myself, instead of what we've got settled. They're not doing what I've asked. I've been asking them that I need to close this account that they're drawing money out of and they won't close it. Also, the fees and the fees on top of the fees are ridiculous. But other than that, they're doing what they said they were gonna do.

FDR was recommended to me by a friend who had had a lot of success with them. And after doing a lot of research, I found that they had better reviews and zero complaints than other ones. Their sign up process was very easy. You sign up online, then they have somebody contact you and walk you through the process. When I first started, I had a specific person, but I haven't had to talk to them in a long time. They also send you monthly updates and whenever you have to do further communication, like debt settlements and stuff, they're very good about contacting you. They let you know where everything is in the process, get paperwork to you to sign, and make sure that you know any deadlines. They're really good about communication. So far, more than half of my debt has been settled and overall, FDR is doing great. They're really beneficial, especially right now with so many of us having our income limited.

All of the “worst case scenarios” seem to have happened with me; I suspect this is common, but they’re deceptive when selling their services. When I try to discuss it, they just get defensive and try to get me to focus on the few things that have gone well. I’ve been sued, and the legal insurance I’ve paid for seems to have secured the legal services of law school dropouts. I would have been better off declaring bankruptcy.
This is very disheartening to hear, Ms. Erin, as our goal is to be transparent when describing the details of our program. We cannot apologize enough if you feel we failed to share the proper expectations with you. Please understand the goal of our advocates is to keep our clients focused on the progress they're making toward financial freedom. I asked to add another card to my account; was told to sign a document online. I didn't know how to do that and was told they would mail it to me. That was 3 or 4 weeks ago and I don't have anything yet. I questioned the delay online and was told they would send me something in the mail. I still don't have anything and still have not been able to add the additional card.

Is going through something like this hard? Yes. But it was necessary as we nearly lost everything between 2008 and 2016 no matter how hard we worked. Updated on 06/07/2023: When I signed up with Freedom, I called them and spoke to a young man. I didn't know anything about those kind of consolidation or debt relief plans. I was concerned about my credit score and he said, “Well, your credit score, if you've got a number of credit cards and you're high in debt, your credit score is not that good anyway. And even though it's gonna go down as you pay them off, it will go up.” He was very, very good. He was also very patient and understanding. He'd gone through the program himself. It was very easy. Two years in a row, I gave money from my income tax return so that I can graduate early. We're about ready to graduate in August. They're very easy to deal with.

I had a credit card debt that I could not pay in any kind of timely manner. I saw an ad for Freedom Debt Relief and I did some research and reading. It seemed like they had a lot of good reviews so I went with them. Everybody that I've spoken to have always been extremely helpful and friendly and they do whatever they can for you. However, I really didn't research exactly what their cut is in the long run. Their little services that they charge every month was more than I expected. But they're dealing with the creditors and with whatever they have to say, their arguments and so forth. Even with one that they're dealing with, they didn't even stop adding interest on to it even after they were contacted. Freedom Debt Relief is the one who's dealing with it and I'm not having to deal with the headache. They've done their job and I've been very pleased with anybody I've spoken to and how they're handling everything.

I talked to several debt relief company and Freedom was the most informative and nice one I could talk to. Signing up was very easy. Any questions I had, the reps answered right away. Most of their reps are really well informed but I've gotten different answers from some people at times twice in the last two or three years. Regardless, they've settled a lot of my debts right.

I realized that due to some poor decision-making on my part, the money coming in was less than the money going out. I had to do some sort of debt relief, bankruptcy, loan consolidate, whatever. I started looking at options and Freedom Debt Relief's seemed a way to avoid bankruptcy but still get rid of some debt load and force me to discipline myself better. In the early days I called with a few questions. The first pay off I got notified for, I had questions and everyone was very patient with me and answered my questions. Now it has been mostly computer messages back and forth. The money comes out and then, every so often, I get a notice from FDR that, “Okay, we're doing this one next.” And it seems to be working. I'm extremely satisfied. I'm pleasantly surprised at the rate in which stuff have been getting paid off. Freedom Debt Relief should keep doing what they are doing.

I was under the impression that you can pay off debt quicker, if you acquire more funds. But you can’t add more to your payment plan. Just more to the account. So if it takes 3 years to pay a debt and you come up with the money sooner, the debt will still take 3 years to pay.

I am very pleased with how my accounts were settled and how I was helped whenever I needed to postpone a payment. My only complaint is that I feel that the fees are WAY too high. I understand that the company needs to make money but the fees are just extremely high.

I have been paying 472.00 per month for over a year and my accounts are not coming down. Thinking of pulling out of the program. I’ve paid over 11000 dollars on a year and I still have 4 accounts left. Something is not right, just paying fees and payments to FDR. Unhappy customer.

Agents have been helpful & courteous. Online info readily available. My only complaint concerns how they nag you for missed payments (1). There is no flexibility regarding payback. You have to choose their posted date so they can auto collect.

I was pretty deep in credit card debt. A friend of mine told me about Freedom Debt Relief and when I signed up, the process was so easy. I've been on the program for two years now and I should have everything paid off here soon. All their customer service has been really great and I have appreciated all their help.

Everything was overwhelming and I was looking for a solution. Freedom Debt was the first thing that came out when I did my googling. I did one other but Freedom was the first one who responded to call me. I've been with them since October of last year. But I feel like I got ripped off and I'm disappointed with Freedom. I recommended my parents to the program but once I experienced it, I pulled them out. I will not recommend anyone to them.
It looks like I'm not really saving anything. I've come to my realization that there is a 21% fee and that's my biggest frustration. The savings that I'm saving is not really savings because you have to pay the program anyway. That's my biggest dilemma. I took out all my cards and got enrolled. That's except for the LendingClub because I know they're working on that already. I left that one and my Wells Fargo. They mentioned that when I sign up but when you're taking a bait, you're taking it without reading it. But that's my fault. I've also been served and it's really heart-pounding every time I schedule. It's not a good feeling. It's a traumatic one. If asked if I'm going to come back knowing this, I will feel that I will run away.

I went through a divorce and I was taking care of my mom, so things got hard for me. I was going to go to another company and I called up that company, but Freedom Debt Relief came up and I decided to sign up with their credit card relief program. But it took a long time to get it going as some of the creditors didn't want to go on the program.

I looked around and saw the reviews for Freedom Debt Relief. I also asked some of the people that we knew who went through the program. Then, I got in touch with them. I talked to David and he hooked me up. Every time that I would call him, he was very polite and I didn't have much problems signing up. My goal is to pay off my debt on the year 2024, so I'm working on that goal right now. There are two accounts already taken care of and the other ones are in the process. So from here to 2024, the rest will be gone. All in all, FDR has a pretty nice setup.

Worried about credit and impact in future and how it will result in my ability to borrow money and I had to change my bank account for payment and that went successfully. Verbal representation at sales and welcome calls false or misleading. Services promised and expected not kept. Price gouging, totally dissatisfied. Shell game, multiple company names, many addresses. Phoenix, Tempe, San Mateo all designed to rip people off and avoid responsibility. They kept most of the money and avoid paying creditors. Try to get maximum compensation upfront and drag out settlements. Clients have no say so. Promise of help and service false. THIS INDUSTRY NEEDS REGULATION AND OVERSIGHT, please.

I had a debt with credit cards, and to try and clear this debt out, I signed up with Freedom Debt Relief. I saw that the rates were higher and a lot of people were enrolling in their program. Their reps were very informative and very helpful. They were also pretty good in working with me on my payment plan. I had a structural plan in place and I had to have that amount in there every month. They already resolved three of my accounts and their service was good. Plus, they were always there to answer any questions if I needed to get more information as regards to my accounts and settlements.

I chose to do debt relief versus file bankruptcy. I was wary of the stigma that comes along with filing for bankruptcy and I knew my creditors were going to be paid back by doing this debt relief program. So, I signed up with FDR. There had been tremendous progress since I started working with them and just about all my creditors have reached an agreed amount to be paid back. Communicating with FDR's reps has been good, too. I don't have a computer but anytime I need something or I have a question, I can call my contact person with Freedom Debt Relief and they can answer any question that I have. Their response time is also fast.
I've been using their service for about a year and a half now and so far, I'm very satisfied. The cost is a comfortable amount and is less than what I was paying on my credit cards. So it’s been so much easier paying my debts back through the debt relief program than when I was trying to do it on my own. At the time, some of the cards I had were in a zero percent period and once that period hit, the payments skyrocketed.

I felt as if I was spiraling into a circle of debt and couldn't find a way to get out. FDR gave me that breathing space by helping me settle my accounts and although it is still a work in progress I can see my balances decreasing and my credit score increase.

Just having real bad experiences. So far you guys seem to pay yourselves with my money before the services are even complete or satisfied. It’s not good, and I’m basically paying the same for my Amex that I was with the first negotiation probably even more. I feel I probably could of gotten the same deal asking myself without having to pay someone else to do it and then get paid first before the service is done. Just bad.

I'm into almost 2 years into the program. Out of 8 debts, I have paid off 1 and 5 others have agreed on a settlement. It may take a few years to completely pay off all my debts, but I am so happy I went this route. Each settlement so far was 40-50% of what I originally owed. Thank you, FDR!

I will say I am 50/50 on my experience with Freedom Debt Relief. I want to say foremost is the reason I have any association with FDR is because of my inability to make good financial decisions and that is all on me. As for your help to resolve my debts I am not satisfied. There were times where I had to call and ask what was holding up resolution to my accounts. I actually called myself to one account to get a number for you to call to start negotiations because I was told you were having trouble contacting that particular account.
This last account you "resolved" I ended up paying more between your fees and what I entered the program with. That really annoyed me. I have been faithful to my payments. I feel you provided services that were not equivalent to the fees you charged. Considering the people you are working with to be charged such exorbitant fees seems illogical. But you are a business. I am an unhappy client and ultimately it really doesn't matter that I am unhappy. You will continue making crazy amounts of money off of subpar work.

We did the program within four years, but it's almost five years now. Maybe it's a little difficult for me, especially at this time of the financial problem. If they could shift gear, especially at this time, most of the financial companies may sit down to negotiate especially in COVID-19. I hope there would be a solution to that. We had a lot of debt and credit cards that were kind of taking over our paychecks. We needed help lowering our monthly payment and in getting rid of the debt permanently. Freedom Debt Relief popped up first then, looking through the reviews, I saw nothing but good reviews. So we went with them. The reps we talked to were very casual and explained everything. They explained the processes and answered all of our questions. They were very thorough, too. We gave them all of our debt and the payment points which were normally what the minimums we were making. They told us what our amount was going to be monthly and made sure that that would work for us. But they explained how it was lower than what we were doing at the time when we were paying our accounts on our own.
Their service was excellent and we've had nothing but positive experiences. Every time we would call, whether we had questions about the amount we were paying or if we ever had thoughts of adding a new debt, to when we get our approval, they were always really nice and patient. They even got a hold of us when we've had issues with one of our accounts not showing settled, even though it was settled.

The process is taking much longer than anticipated. When I spoke to creditors they said they have not received anything from FDR. My credit score dropped over 150 points. I told the representative that I was doing this to prepare to get a home equity loan. Now I can't.

I knew somebody else that had a good experience with Freedom Debt so I went right to them. Everybody was very friendly and non-judgmental. Signing-up with the program was very smooth. The fees are high but it's fine. They're upfront about it. When you're going through the process, they settle it but at the same time, the fees kinda add up. Still, when you add everything up, it's still worth it. There has been some debts that are being settled and there's a couple of things going on. You just need to stay updated as you go through the process. Make sure you log in to your portal and check your email regularly.

Freedom Debt Relief helped me tremendously. The payments were getting too much a month. They work with creditors and lower the payments. They also took care of me if I would have anything to go to litigation. Their rep explained everything very well and he was very helpful. He did a great job. I've had Freedom Debt Relief since either 2016 or 2017 and the progress is good. I've gotten a couple settlements. When I call, they do a good job in informing me about what's going on with my accounts and showing me how to get online to look at the information. Everyone's pretty patient and nice so I appreciate that. I just don't like that they can't push the automatic payment back infinitely until I'm able to start paying again. I don't like the new system.
Since I got into the program, my employment has changed and the amount of assets I have to pay into the account has shifted a lot. Now that I'm not working, and this was prior to the pandemic, I've been unable to pay into my account so that definitely is affecting my graduation date. I spoke with one of the representatives and she gave me a few different options to ensure that my graduation date doesn't get pushed back further. But I still have to see if financially, I'll be able to do that. Then the representative that I last talked to showed me how I could look at certain things from the dashboard and be able to find out that information more readily instead of having to wait to speak to a representative.

These guys work miracles negotiating with different banks/collectors/etc. I get notified throughout the day and I log in and approve each negotiation with a single click and boom, another settled account. I am now concentrating on adding to my dedicated account in hopes to pay off my settled debt sooner instead of dodging collectors' phone calls.

My debt was out of control. I did Freedom since I just needed to make one payment. I have been in their program for two years and I should be debt-free by this November. The only thing that I was kinda upset with them was that I thought they were gonna call some of these agencies that have the credit cards. I don’t know if they’re scared of Discover card or New Mexico Bank & Trust. Those agencies were calling me and I told them to call Freedom Debt Relief. The next thing you know, I was getting served and I was getting sued. It was a lot of stress and I thought in my head, “Why am I even using them if I'm doing all the work?” I had to call the legal team and have them help me out. I had to get notarized, talk to a lawyer, and get it going. At one point, I took off my Discover card. I did it myself and saved about $3,500. Besides that, everything else was okay. Freedom has great customer service.

I am very happy with Freedom Debt Relief. Things are going well, I had 8 accounts at the beginning. Now I have 5 resolved, 2 being paid off and 1 left to deal with. I looked to see who was rated number one out of all of the companies and at the time, that was Freedom Debt Relief. I had to gather all my information which was anything that was over 500 and then, I gave it to them. They made contact with all the places and made their arrangements for payment. I've never had a problem getting ahold of anybody. They've sent me a lot of communication by email such as when I have to sign something.
My debts are getting paid down, which is what I'm concerned about. I had 10 and they settled about maybe half so far. It's been almost a year so, it's been half of them within a year. They wait till it gets to a certain point before they start negotiation. The person will receive calls saying what you owe. When you're signed up and the program’s going, you don't have to worry quite as much. About a month or so into the program, I received less and less calls, to where now, I don't receive any calls from the places telling me that I owe them money. I get something from FDR at least every other month. I have to sign something. You can pay just a little bit more and you get access to their attorney in case somebody files something against you. One of the companies decides to take it to court and FDR’s attorney will represent you for five extra dollars a month.

I was told that my credit card would be paid first not the personal loan I have, months later it is the opposite. I also provided an account number but later got an email that the account number wasn't received. Feel like it is a total lack in communication.
This is certainly not the experience we'd prefer you to have with us, Ms. Christina. Some creditors are more aggressive than others and have higher demands when it comes to settling enrolled balances. Takes too long to get credit score updated. I paid up the full amount to my account 2 months ago and my scores only went up by a couple points. I really need to get my credit up. I paid over 12,000 to get this issued fixed. Thanks.

The process was easy to follow. Fast service, mostly (see below) friendly staff, and any questions/concerns are answered simply by calling. I would have rated them 5 stars Excellent, however at the beginning of the process, before my first settlement, one of the representatives I dealt with seemed disinterested in actually helping me. Everyone has a bad day so I won’t hold this against them, considering they have basically cut my enrolled debt by 50%!

I saw Freedom on Facebook and then, I set to call them. They sent me some information and it sounded like it was going good. I just let them get my money and let them do what they want to with it. It was difficult communicating with them. At first, I had the client dashboard and I could get in it good. Then I started trying to get in and I couldn't. I called and I talked to somebody, and they didn't know why I couldn't get in my client dashboard. I called FDR a couple of times because I didn't think it was gonna take them 50 years to pay it off. They got three of my debts going and there’s one more they hadn't settled yet. They take the money out of my account but I didn't know I was gonna have to pay them a salary.
I had those bills forever and they knew me, and then they kept calling me asking what I was doing. They said they could work with me and I just didn’t bother because I was already with them. But I could have done a lot better with it. People should run for their lives if they are considering going through a debt relief program because I don't know how long FDR has taken $262 out of my account every month.

I was trying to consolidate debt and I went with Freedom when they popped up. I had a conversation with their rep. I liked what they told me over the phone. It was an actual phone call with them, from them. I received an amazing quality of service. They are always customer friendly when I call to ask them questions. And the payment was fair, based on the amount of debt that I have. A big weight has been taken off from the debt and I'm able to be relieved. The best thing one could do is give Freedom a shot. If you don't like what they tell you and what you see, then you can look elsewhere.

Freedom Debt Relief communicates mostly by email and that’s exactly the way I like it. In the dashboard, I can tell how many payments have been made to who and what I still owe. It was a four-year program. But the way that I've been noticing, it may be more like five years. The progress has not been as fast as I like but I'm satisfied and pleased with Freedom Debt Relief.

I wish they could make my debt vanish; slowly but surely however it is and that's what they have been doing. Now there were a few times i attempted to add money to account in order to pay loan off faster but they never went through. There may be issues with their online access.

Great communication, when there's a problem a get solved tight away, any issues they handle it, the only thing that takes a long process is some of the accounts take time like letting them go in collections. Otherwise when they do they go to get negotiated asap to be finalized. Keep up the great service everyone!

We have a lot of debt, in general. We’re trying to cut everything down and be able to pay everything off. We liked everything that Freedom Debt Relief pretty much had to say. Everything was very laid out and there was nothing hidden. They were very blunt about everything that had to be done. They gave us a really good rate for how much everything was. It was really good. They also let us up the amount that we were paying. It was a fast and easy transaction.
When we need to call someone from Freedom, they are amazing. They answer all the questions and give everything we need in a very fast manner. They are very reassuring that everything that they say is gonna happen and it is exactly what happens every time. So far, we've noticed that things are moving a lot faster than what we have expected. A lot of credit card debt had just consumed me because when you have a child who's had cancer, you'll do anything to make the co-pays. I downsized everything in my life but it's still I was just paying too much interest. I went online and I researched how different debt consolidation groups were rated and Freedom Debt Relief has such a good rating and such happy customers that I did research and found them and called them.
With the exception of one phone call, which that person obviously was quite new ‘cause they gave me bad information that even I knew was off, I've been with FDR for over three years now. We're paying off two of my debts and everything has been agreed and two have been paid off. I turned over four cards to them and they get the highest praise I can give any company because regardless of who I talked to, I got consistent answers within the organization. This is a company I would work for because of its internal consistency. Their first rep I talked with was also very knowledgeable, very encouraging and very helpful. Regarding payments, they told me what it would be a month and we set it on two payment dates and then when I started seeing how I was being paid in retirement, I had to move it to the first of the month and consolidate it all and just make it one payment.
My only problem that I've had at all was that the first card which was Discover that they settled out in 2017, and Discover did not send the 1099-G form to me. They sent it to FDR. Nobody there could find it. So two years later, under an audit, they started contacting me last June, I am still fighting with the IRS because I've sent them everything but the IRS then failed to tell me. They said, “You've got everything in that you need.” Then they said, “You don't have this form.” I've been going round and round with them for 15 months.
I also did not add my fourth account until later when they jacked up the interest on me for it. My payment, before I added that account, was 600 and change. Then when I added that fourth card not quite a year ago, it had $6,000 on it and it was with US Bank and it's a Visa, my payment went to 853. We've got structured settlements all set up. My graduation date would have been September but after I added this other card, it’s now gonna be November but I'm paying so much less on that. It doesn't seem right that I would pay the full 853 for October and November of 2021. That should drop after September by quite a bit because the big debt will have been completely paid off. So I need somebody to check into that for me. I would almost be paying off the whole thing in those two months with what I'm paying and it just didn't seem quite right.

My debt counselor helped very much. I was very stressed and upset over not being able to keep up with my bills any longer. But even with paying on time I was not getting ahead because of interest rates and I had reached a point where I couldn't afford to pay extra. I had always been able to pay my bills and mostly on time, but it was so hard and I had to started to give up or cutting back on groceries and gas, and not turning lights on to free up funds. I was so far in debt, and I felt I owed so much because I kept robbing Peter to pay Paul, plus borrowing from family that I felt I was never going to get out of debt. Plus I needed a way to cut the credit card habit.
I'm hoping with the help of this program, I can get back to living my life again, not just living bill to bill. Banks/loan companies would not let me borrow money because of my debt to income ratio - even though I was using the loan to pay off the debit I had. Once the debts are cleared I'm hoping never to get on the credit card merry-go-round again.

Everything is working out really great with Freedom Debt Relief. They’re very helpful. They told me how they're gonna negotiate the balances with the different credit cards and to get the best amount worked out for me, and they did. Some of the accounts, they knocked it down to almost half, so it was great. They're always in contact with me as far as what's going on, if I agree on the settlement. My payments are a little bit on the high side, but I figured I needed to do that in order to get this resolved. I look at the dashboard all the time. I'm almost done with one of the settlements, almost going on the next settlement. It's just good to know what's going on with my money.

It's taking a lot longer than once stated. It will take more than 2 years and probably 3 or more before I am finally done!! I believe I am may have been able to settle these quicker on my own with less cost to do so.

I am glad that the company was able to pay off two of my accounts. I don't understand why those accounts can't be cleared off of my credit account after they were paid off. That really confuses me. So, even after all of these are paid off, my credit report will still show these accounts on there unpaid. Please tell me what I need to do to have them removed/show paid off? Thanks.

The time it takes to get accounts resolved I know depends on the amount of money you can put in but I’m at my max amount without doing without money to live on each month. This amount is all that I can possibly afford and it just seems like the balance on the accounts keep going higher and credit rating goes lower and lower.

My credit report was going up and to resolve the problem, I signed up with Freedom Debt Relief. I saw them on the news and I knew that I could choose so many ones, so I chose the first one. My interaction with their reps was good and I don’t have any problem with my payment plan. I make a payment twice a month, every 15 days, so they can take it from my paycheck or from my checking account. I like FDR and so far everything's fine. Right now, my bank account is going down because I have to pay them to resolve my problem. I want to see after everything paid, but at the moment, all that they're making me do is make my monthly payment and things are going little by little.

Freedom Debt Relief seemed to be the best. I gave them all my bills and then I'd have to give them a certain amount of dollars a month. Then they pay off my bills. I was comfortable with the process but it took such a long time. I got started in 2019 and I would not debt free until 2023. I pay 165 twice a month. If I had to do the program all over, I would not do it again with Freedom Debt Relief. In fact, I was thinking about withdrawing from it but they paid most of my bills off. But I owe $1,000 so why are they negotiating and only taking $25 a month when all I owe is $1,000? So Freedom Debt Relief gets more money for themselves than paying my bill.
Freedom Debt Relief would also offer this plan where if you kept your payment up, they would calculate all the money owed and then they would give you a loan. They would pay off the bill and then you would pay them every month instead of Freedom Debt Relief. But it is connected with Freedom Debt Relief. I had someone called and asked me about the loan plan. At the time, I couldn't do it because it was too much money I would have had to pay a month. The guy got upset with me and he hung up on me.
Months later, this year, I was able to do the loan plan. I called and I got the same man that hung up on me. I asked him if he was the one that hung up on me and he gave me some lame excuse about why he did it. I called Freedom Debt Relief and told them that I didn't want this man. I wanted a female because he sounded like a hustler. He was a fast talker. They must have told him what I said. He got angry with me and sent me a letter and said that I was denied because my credit score was too low. Of course, my credit score is low because I'm doing Freedom Debt Relief. So they wouldn't take me and I didn't think that was right. Other than that, they did pretty well because I started in 2019 and they paid off five of my bills. They take care of everything and I don't have to worry about paying bills. So as a whole, they're pretty good.

I was watching TV one morning and Freedom Debt was on TV. The process was simple but I didn't understand at the beginning that it wasn't a payoff right away. I didn’t like too much that Freedom wanted you to let the bills go. I had some of them paid down quite a bit so when it came time to pay them, once I got enough money in there, they had gone up quite a bit. So, that didn't make me too happy because I worked hard on trying to get it down. Some of them were at 510 and when we paid it off, it was close to 1,000. But other than that, they've been very helpful and friendly. We got three paid down and we've got three right now that they're working on. They have already started paying them down so I've been happy.
I normally pay twice a month and I upped it so I could get it paid off faster. We work seven months a year and then five months, we travel around because I have children in different locations. So, I now pay one time a month. I had to call this morning because I got an email and the rep helped me get that done. You have to call monthly. Freedom had a sister company that I was gonna use. I tried to give them the information they needed but we travel a lot and I was not in a position to send out a bunch of stuff. So, we weren't able to use the sister company who would give you a loan to pay it off straightforward, which I would much rather do because it's also hurting your credit to let it go. Still, I would use Freedom again although I hope I will not ever have to.

They were congenial most times, even when my delay of payments meant delaying a settlement. It was great, really. They open a bank account for you, you save money there, ignore it as best you can, and they negotiate settlements. The whole scene is a bit uncomfortable, so having a team make it all more comfortable is nice. With a family of 6, once you’re in a spot, negotiating is a pain. They cover all the bases and do so courteously.

Freedom Debt Relief said that they would have my back 100% if anything went wrong. I went with them and their reps asked me what I could afford. At the time, my husband was idle and the coal mine was a very iffy job. Still, FDR worked wonderfully with us. At first, it took forever to get things started. As things progressed though, their program got faster and faster. Now that I'm at the end, it seems like it's dragging. My rep told me not to worry and he made sure everything was handled. I've told everybody about Freedom. Working with them has really turned my life around. My credit score is finally going up.

They didn't tell me how to stop getting phone calls from credit card companies. They will destroy my credit before repairing it. (I'm not late on any bills yet) They won't start calling my cards companies for at least 6 months! There are other companies out there, I'm sure. Oh, they take their payment out each month, while they don't pay my creditors for 6 months, and I had to ask if they were free or not, they didn't tell me up front.

I had stress in my life over the credit cards. Freedom came and helped me out. It has been smooth and easy. It relaxed me. The thing I like about Freedom is if there is a month that's tight and I can't do the payment, I can give them a call and they can push it to another day in the month until I have the money in my account. When they have a deal, they always send me a text message with the type of offer they got. They tell me to approve the settlement if I'm okay with it. They take care of things and I'm almost done with the program. They have been amazing. I have a friend with a problem similar to mine with her credit cards and I advised her to go to Freedom. I was looking to get a zero percent credit card so I could put my credit cards together and then pay it off quicker. Freedom Debt Relief was the only one that was willing to work with me to do debt settlements. Signing up was easy. It was through the computer. I just had to do an e-signature and they took care of everything else. I'd pay them a certain fee and then they'd negotiate deals with the card companies and pay them. But everything is done totally online and I'm not very technical so it’s more difficult for me. Every time I log in, I forget my password and I'm afraid to write things down.
We're still working on settling my debts. I'm still accruing interest while Freedom is still working it out. But they actually sent me to a sister corporation that was trying to do exactly what I wanted to do in the beginning. There's another company that's going to take all the loans and then I just pay them a little bit more. So all the bills are paid off first and then I'm just paying one company without accruing interest. They're working on a deal to see if I qualify for that. So I might just do that in the future.

In 2 1/2 years only two accounts have been settled? I’ve contributed over 8k in payments and only 2 accounts have been settled? That’s very concerning to me, Freedom has definitely got their cut FIRST no doubt. I would appreciate it if we get more settlements handled in a more expeditious manner.

I tried getting a loan through my personal bank and it wasn't working. I looked on how to consolidate debt in Pinterest and Freedom Debt Relief was the first that came up. I also saw that they had a high rating review with the Better Business Bureau. Initially, on a personal level, working with them was hard because I've always had a good credit score and it affected my credit score. I understood that, but I didn't think that it was gonna affect it as bad as it did. But other than that, everybody's been super helpful and helped me understand the whole process better. I work in the dental field snd every time I hear a patient tell me that they have issues with their debt, especially right now with COVID, with everything's going on, I refer them Freedom. The overall experience is really good, I just didn't like the beginning part of it. All my accounts have been settled, but the longest settlement is 36 months right now. Everything's been great. They've been very informative.

I'm a person who likes to pay my bills but I was home from work for a year and six months and I could not pay my bills. I had surgery on both of my knees and I was getting just one something a week disability. Plus, I have my rent to pay. I have other things. So, after I kept getting the calls from the credit cards, the stores and the banks, I decided to find out about Freedom Debt Relief. My niece and her sister had experience with them and she said they were good. At first, I was a little skeptical but it's good. It's perfect for anyone who wants to keep their credit good and don't want to mess up as well as people who wanna pay their bills. Some of the reps were okay although two representatives were very rough and I have to talk to them also rough because they started it.
All I wanted was my credit cards to be paid off. They worked out the amount and told me how much they were gonna pay a month to the creditors and how much I would have to pay a month. It wasn’t bad because $200 a month is not bad for six credit cards. I thought though that I wouldn't finish paying that off. So, I asked if I could put more money to that and they said that it would be good. So, I did an extra 50 or 100 some months. I’m just paying off my credit cards one by one, which is how FDR does it. When one has been paid, then FDR would go and get the settlement on the other one. At first, I didn't like that but when I checked my credit, I saw that after I started to pay, my credit shoot back up because it was done a lot. FDR works with me well and I’m very comfortable with the program.

I felt good about Freedom that they're willing to help out in my financial debt. They're an excellent company according to my girlfriend. The debt consultant explained it to us about how the program worked. I felt very comfortable. I get a text message whenever they negotiated with the creditor and I'm very pleased and satisfied whatever they negotiated with 'cause it's more than 50% so that reduced the creditor payment for each month. Their website is easy to access and looking at what's going on, keeping an update on your payment. I like the website too as well because it's available to me to look at. If I have any questions, I can contact them with the question and get the answer back.
At first, it was kinda hard, but as I went along, it eased my mind. It may take a little while for, they explain that my credit report may go up. Also, they have their other program that is working. It's giving peace of mind and I'm trying that now. It's a very excellent program. They should keep doing what they've been doing. A lot of people who are in the same situation that I am or could be worse should join.

Figure out ways to pay off your debt without this company. What they do is send your accounts to collection by having you miss payments. This raises your debt owed before they settle an account. Once an account is settled they claim to have saved you a bunch of money. If you owe $ 5000 they’ll “negotiate” you down to $3000 then charge you a $1500 fee for doing so. This will destroy your credit and save you little to no money.

FDR tries to negotiate with our creditors that they may give us considerations to relieve us with our debts with them. As explained to us, once that we already have enough funds for FDR to pay the creditors as negotiated, settlement may already be made. I googled debt relief companies and Freedom came up as being the number one. I talked to another one and I didn't like how they talked to me. When I called Freedom, I liked the way they talked to me. I also liked the way they explained things to me. I thought to do it ‘cause otherwise, I'm never gonna get out of credit card debt. For the most part, I'm really happy with the customer service. The only thing I don't really like is they tell upfront that if you need to take money back out of your little account, they would set it up. And so for one month, I wasn't able to put the money in and then they hounded me for two months even though I put the money in the next month. Then they quit hounding me. But I had to get a little snappy about it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

When we went to buy a car, the reps said that we had filed a bankruptcy. But we didn’t. I found out that Freedom Debt Relief was where I went through to pay off my debt. When I asked them about it, they said that it would not go on my record as a bankruptcy. They seemed so helpful and caring, which made me decide to go with them. The rep was very kind, helpful and explained everything to me. I felt comfortable with her right off the bat and told her to set it up. I signed up for them to help me pay off my credit report and clear up my credit cards. It's been working out wonderfully. A lot of them has been paid off and they're continuing on. If I have a question, I can call and they answer my questions. They're very clear and they don't care how many questions you ask. The reps always keep in touch with me.
The last time, I upped my payment and told them to start taking $500 a month out. Nebraska Furniture Mart wouldn't accept it so I had to pay them separately, which was fine. I understood that. I got that paid off and I told FDR to put the money I was paying them towards the program. In two years, I'll be completely paid off. Working with them has changed my life tremendously. I fell and broke both my ankles June 14th and I'm still having trouble with them. I also just had back surgery because I broke my pain stimulator in that fall. My husband just had heart surgery, which was life threatening. We are on limited income and with me not having to worry about paying these debts on time, and Freedom Debt taking over and doing it for me, it has taken a big weight off my shoulders. I can concentrate on just taking care of us and trying to get better.

The reason why I contacted Freedom Debt is because I'm moving and the loan officer needed verification about BOA account which showed an outstanding balance. I needed the date that this balance would be paid off, and the Freedom Debt adviser stated that the debt would be paid in full at the end of October 2020.

Freedom Debt Relief is doing its job. When I have some questions, I email them and they email me back right away. They're very friendly and very good. They push my all accounts back. If they closed something, they would always email me with some recommendations. I'm happy with them. They already closed about five cases. I have another department that is working on my case and I’m just waiting to see what is going on. They said that we'd need to wait a few days because the judge would decide something and that they were not sure when they would do the last. But the rest has been pretty much the same.

I was trying to catch up on my bills and Freedom Debt Relief was recommended by a friend. They've taken care of a couple of debts already. They've been very helpful working with me when I’m a little bit short on making the payment that I can catch up with it later. The quality of service was excellent. I did some research online and made the call. Freedom Debt Relief was super easy to work with. Immediately, I felt comfortable and that was maybe the customer rep that I had. He didn’t make me feel like I was a failure because I needed to do this. I could go on their website and look at everything all the time. Whenever I have a debt resolve come up, I get a text message and an email so I know I can go on and approve it. It's seamless. When I'm on their website, like I was trying to work out increasing my payments to pay off quicker. the tell when your graduation date is and when it’s over, sometimes that's a little glitchy. But otherwise, I have no complaints. I've actually referred people to them.

I got a letter from a collection agency re. an unpaid bank credit card. The rep who helped me was FANTASTIC!. I wish I knew his name to connect this reply to him. All I can tell you is that he lives in Chandler, Arizona and has an Italian grandmother. He helped me with my problem, told me that he was going to expedite my account because I had quite a lot in it. He was kind, helpful, and made me laugh! Great guy! He needs a raise!

I called several of the others and I liked the way the agent from Freedom talked to me and explained things. It was an overall better experience talking over the phone to him. I had gotten myself into some problems. I couldn't go back to work because of a heart condition. and I was having a hard time making ends meet of any kind. The negotiators were always aboveboard and very consistent with what they were asking me and telling me. They do things in a very timely manner. They were always polite and assured me facts that they were giving me.
They talked to me and saw what the possibilities would be and how much I could pay versus as how much my output was on my bills and how much I could afford to pay per month to set up my escrow account. They were very helpful. They understood where I was coming from and the problems I faced and willing to help me, telling me all along that it's gonna take this many years if I used this, or this many years if I do that" They're always aboveboard on that. They have saved me a lot of stress and giving me peace of mind. Recently, when they called and told me they were gonna pay out early, that was important to someone like me. I'm 68 on a very limited retirement and being told to pay $350 a month would be back to my use in just a couple of months instead of another year was amazing.

I read up on a whole lot of programs available and thought that Freedom was the best one to go with. Signing up was easy. The person that helped me was great. They helped me settle quite a few debts. I'm so comfortable with them that sometimes, I don't even check to see. If I have to call and ask a question, they always help me. Whenever I'm off the phone, I'm completely satisfied.
