Freedom Debt had good reviews online. A year ago, I emailed them and they called me. When I have concerns, I talk to whoever is available there. FDR is not anything shady and they take care of your stuff. But I had an incident where I deposited $10,000 in my account and I wanted them to pay some of my accounts off that they had already made settlements on. But they wouldn't because I still had other accounts. I would’ve liked them to crack out the small accounts then work on my last two big accounts. Instead, we are gonna draw this out for more time than need be.
From my standpoint, I would’ve rather paid four accounts off with that $10,000 than sit in there and wait to negotiate. That money is just gonna sit in Freedom’s bank for how long and they are still only gonna pay $600 a month on payments. It didn't make any sense, especially for some of the smaller ones. Why string the payments out if you can pay them lump sum? It would help me graduate out of the program a lot earlier. But that is what it ultimately is as they wouldn't have gotten their money at the end of the day. So, I withdrew my $10,000 back out and invested it.

The FDR reps that I've been working with have been pretty good and I haven't had too much to complain about. But the finances being what they are, it's been a struggle to keep up the payments every month. So far, nothing's been officially closed out yet and I'm still paying down debt. But hopefully, things are going to get paid out quickly and I'll get out of this monthly payment. It's very strapping right now with trying to keep up with the monthly payments. I have it done automatically, but everybody's hours have been cut, so we’re just trying to rob Peter to pay Paul every month. Other than that, I have been on the dashboard a couple times and I haven't had any issues doing that.

The Negotiations which I did not understand right away, were explained, and once understood, I had my AHA moment, and we are now a quarter of the way there after 6 months. I am more than happy, and have already recommended FDR to others!

One of my credit card didn’t reduced any late fee, and I think they charge too much interest because if you reduce from the bank 500 Freedom charge 300 of interest for do the agreement with bank, I think the interest should be lower.

I first signed up to get a loan and was refused then sold on this process. I have come to realize the companies are willing to do deals to lower debt. This is not a good deal. It was hard getting information. When starting out you start with someone and they hand it to someone else.

When I first reached out to Freedom Debt Relief I was skeptical. I even said no the first time but then I came back and they told me the steps I needed to take. It doesn’t happen over night and it does take time to settle a debt but when they do it feels amazing on how much they are saving me! I went through a divorce, was left with a huge amount of debt all in my name, and I was drowning in it. My neighbor recommended FDR and I signed up with them for credit card relief and consolidation. My first call was pretty smooth where I just gave the rep all my information on the credit cards, a nd he was able to upload all the information within that same phone call. Then, we agreed on a monthly payment that I would put into an account, which was two and a half years ago, and I pay this every month on the 15th. They've settled two of the debts so far for about 40% of what was owed on it. But they told me that my graduation date would be June 2022 and now, it's June 2023. That's going to be an extra year of payments and now it's going to take five years instead of four, and I wasn't really happy about that.
I've got $4,000 in a bank account there and they're not using it. I feel like they could probably eliminate the debt a lot quicker because I'm making these $714 payments every month and the money is just sitting there. They're paying just $25 a month to creditors and it doesn't make sense. I even called them to try and make me understand it. They said that if I gave them the $14,000, they'd have it all done, and that's where my concern is. Despite that, their customer service is well and since having them, I'm able to not worry as much. The program overall works, but it's going to take longer than I anticipated.

I have had nothing but helpful and positive guidance since I began this process. I truly appreciate FDR for their assistance with these debts. My partner suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease for 7 years and I was forced to quit my job to be his full-time caregiver. With no income but his $700 SSD per month I relented and open several credit accounts just so we could buy the things we needed. I thought this program was going to pay my debt faster, it seems that if I don't have enough funds in my account accumulated then my debt doesn't get resolved. And it also seems in the beginning the person taking charge of my account was calling every day to get started, now it seems he is too busy to call me back.

The company Freedom Debt Relief, seems to be a good company to go with if you’re trying to get your debt settled. The only thing I didn’t realize is how long it takes for the debts to get settled. I don’t think I would do this again because I feel bad for the credit card companies. Things are updated like I would wish they would be. For instance, I have one account that says action needed. It’s been saying that for six months now, but every time I call Freedom Debt Relief they say that there’s nothing they need from me. So then I think that they’re not dealing with them because they need something from me that they’re neglecting to get. Other than those two things, they’re doing a good job from what they’re supposed to do. I just didn’t fully understand what I was getting into.

Freedom Debt Relief has done a pretty decent job. I went into this program sort of blind and I learned a lot since. It's a little bit expensive but so far everything's going fine. They've settled some of my debts and I've got others in the process of being paid off. So, it's going pretty good. They contact me if they have something to offer and I get in contact with whoever is available when I need them.

Will never tell me how much freedom debt is CHARGING me for there service???? All they tell me is what a good job they are doing but never get a answer on how much they are charging me and my discover account went into litigation and never hearing back on that either and I am getting sued for that one they keep sending it to new lawyers and all I am doing is getting nervous.

The one thing that bothered me was the fact that my credit was destroyed! I wasn't aware that you were going to allow each account to default in order to settle at a lower cost. I've reached out to you several times with questions and concerns and have not received a reply! Creditors are still calling and sending threatening letters. I was also concerned about my credit score dropping over 100 points. I had an opportunity to refinance my home and couldn't because of my credit score! Not once have you addressed my concerns.

I got my family in financial situation, when my wife lost her job. I had to use my credit cards to buy groceries for the family and pay for gas for our vehicles. Freedom Debt was the only organization that was willing to help. Once we were back doing well financially, I couldn't afford to pay the minimum payments on the credit cards, and it seems like I will be in debt forever. Freedom Mortgage made it possible to deal with this stressful situation and bring back some sense of relief that I will get this debt paid off. No calls back about summons. Was advised that law firm only negotiate and does not respond to legal matters, I referred them to the contract, they never called back, matter was settled for the amount requested I assume because by the time they negotiate it we were in default.

I had a lot of debt. My parents were with Freedom, so I just went with them for consolidation. I’ve been working with them for three years now. Credit has taken a deep nosedive. My credit score is so low that it's harming other areas. More payments will make for a quicker resolution so that I can rebuild my credit. And be more credit responsible. Rebuilding my credit is key.

I did a Google search and FDR was ranked near the top. I knew that I had to do something ‘cause I was not in a good situation and FDR was kinda what I decided to do. So far so good. I'm doing what I'm supposed to and they're doing what they said they would do. Getting signed up was simple. I didn't have any red flags or I wouldn't have continued. The dashboard is also simple as far as its layout and navigation. It's detailed as to what I'm looking for without having to really hunt around for it. I wish the cost that I'm paying month to month was less, but it's the cost of doing business. It's very vague as far as what the actual fees are gonna be per negotiations but there was really nobody that was willing to say a finite number of what you're gonna pay.

I was paying high interest on credit card bills. My brother researched the different companies and found that FDR seemed to be the number one. I spoke to a couple of different agents and they were very helpful, polite, and nice. I found them to be really concise and they know their business. But the program is taking a little bit longer than I thought. It's been two and a half years now and there wasn't that much debt. I still have like six months of it. Other than that, they've been upfront with me and they text me any time I ask questions. I'm satisfied with them. FDR takes the pressure off knowing that you're paying all the high interests, it's really not going anywhere. That is the best part of it.

A friend of mine told me that debt relief was a good way to go. I went with Freedom and I liked what their reps had to say. Every time I had a question, they were straight with me and told me everything I could expect. My wife was hesitant about going with them but then I told her that Freedom sounded legit and that they could help us out. We went with them and when I call, their reps would ask me to verify that it's me who is calling even though I already verified when I first called. They would still ask different questions. When I finally made it through, the person I was in contact with would give me the right answers. I'm glad I went with Freedom.

I made an arraignment with a representative 3 weeks ago to help fix my credit (in short). I was told to make sure my first payment was made available on Monday the 7th 2020 and I did I was told. It would be applied to and taken out of my bank account by 12:00 noon on the 7th of September 2020. Noon came and went. At 1:00 pm I started trying to find out why it was not even attempted to be withdrawn and because it was a holiday nobody was available until Tuesday.
So I immediately started trying to get ahold of somebody at FDR on Tuesday morning and did not succeed until around 12:00 pm Eastern Time on the 8th of SEPT. 2020 and was told that it was attempted to be taken out of my account on the Friday before the 7th which would have been the 4th of Sept. 2020 and the funds were not available because before I even agreed to this contract I told representative I do not receive any money until Tuesday the 8th of Sept from unemployment which is only 225.00 dollars a week but I made sure there was money anyway by the 7th as I and you agreed to.
I explained all this to human resources person on Friday the 11th 2020 and they were very apologetic but that did not help my situation so I told her I would think about this account over the weekend and make my decision whether to keep my account or not and before I even woke up today my email was getting blast with warnings of how there was insufficient funds in my account to cover the withdraw. Well like I said I only get paid every Tuesday 225 dollars and I am trying to support a household of 5 adults and 9 grandkids on 225 dollars a week and I do not and will not take the aggravation and added stress that this company is adding to my life so it is better for both parties if I cancel my account with FDR and just continue what I already have done with my creditors and let you guys focus your attention on somebody you can help thanks and sorry but I do not want your services at this time.

Customer service has been as helpful as they can be and I give the CSRs a top rating. My estimate was 48 months, and I do understand estimate, however, having deferred a couple payments and adjust a couple, I should be no more than 4 months above the estimate and should complete the program Oct 2022 and yet I am not due to complete until Aug 2023.... 10 months later than planned. I am a single Mom and only entered the program as I saw it would end at the same time my son would graduate and his child support would end.
I knew I could not make this payment each month without the help of this support and the timing was right so I entered this plan rather than claim bankruptcy, and although I would struggle for 4 years to make this payment it was the right thing to do, the more ethical choice. Now I am being told it will take an additional 10 months of struggling even harder, I don't know how I will do it, and I feel the estimate was false and unfortunately I feel this is a normal practice on your part to get people to join the program.
I feel lied to which is a fact of life but this lie will cost me more than you will ever imagine unless you are a divorced single mother of 3 struggling to get by. For these reasons I would not recommend your program, I would not put another struggling parent through what I am going through knowing this massive payment will need to be met 10 months longer than planned and with $1,200.00 less income a month than currently while I already struggle.

My wife found Freedom Debt Relief through one of her friends and we went with them because that’s who they had used. FDR worked really well with us, especially with the whole pandemic going on. If we're not able to make a full payment, we make partial payments and that really helps. And they let us know how of that affects the settlements, too. We're able to do the payments, but they might go back on some of the settlements if they’re not being settled. So we understand. I was having trouble with my finances and the payments that I was doing were too much. I couldn't handle it anymore, so I looked for a solution. Freedom Debt Relief was the first thing that came to my mind, so I contacted them and they provided me with the opportunity to fix my debt. I had not enough money to do my payments, so instead of making a lot of payments and paying all the interest on the debts that I had, Freedom Debt Relief offered a monthly payment that was affordable to me. I went through a divorce and I had a lot of outstanding debt on my credit cards. My ex-wife dealt with all of it and I didn’t have any information on it so I hired FDR. Freedom Debt Relief is wonderful. The relief of not having to worry about those bills anymore is tremendous. Freedom has helped me so much just taking it off my back and taking care of it themselves. My deductions were supposed to start on a certain day and was 2 weeks late, because something was changed in paperwork. However it was taken care of. To my knowledge they have yet to contact creditors as they continually call.

I was hoping that FDR would eliminate all my debt but they only eliminated 45% of it on my one credit card account. I won't have to pay the rest off for 22 months, they will pay it monthly for 22 months and I hope that I can get the rest of the credit cards paid off at the same time.

Getting signed up was very easy. They were very informative. I can go in the dashboard and see where I'm at as far as how many I’ve got that’s paid off, how many is in progress and the ones that are getting ready to come up. When I called them, I was very impressed with whoever I was talking to. We got it worked out about what was going to happen. Everything went so smoothly. I didn't have to worry about everything. Everything was spelled out. They explained the program to me and it is working. It's something that I've been able to afford and I can see real progress. I only skipped payment once. I have to be a little creative because they always take it out the day before I get paid. But that's fine and I've been able to make the payments.

Updated on 02/07/2021: Freedom Debt Relief did the one lump sum for me, which was something that I could afford. I was consistently doing it for at least two good years. I'm halfway through. And they said that I was a very good customer, so they offered me a loan program so that my credit could start increasing, where the amount that I was paying for the debt would go toward the loan repayment and they will pay off my debts with this loan. And then I just pay this one lump sum loan back to them. This was different because Freedom Debt worked on negotiating the principal. The reps were always open to me communicating with them if I needed any questions answered. We had the dashboard so we communicated that way. Or if there was anything else going on, if I needed to talk to a live person, then they were always amenable to that. Their customer service was excellent.
Original review: Their customer service is excellent. Whatever issue is brought up, they resolve in one contact phone call. I was concerned about credit reporting agency having lowered my credit score, but I was assured this was normal and as debt is being reduced, the credit score would eventually start to increase.

I’m mostly happy with the program. My only issue is that I get the impression that I can’t make a change to the amount of my monthly payment and it has been really hard during these difficult times. Was told it would take 48 months to complete. Now it's up to 60. I was misled. Taking longer to settle than expected. Late fees included in settlement. I thought it was the amount you owed at the beginning. Not going as expected.

One of the things that made me sign up with them was that the monthly payments were lower than other companies. Also, it damaged my credit but not as much as the others. I did a search on a website and they pointed me to Freedom. Then, I did my research on the Better Business Bureau to see how their rating is and stuff like that and I saw that a lot of people had a good outcome so we went with them. The rep we talked to was very informative and well-spoken and they were very flexible with my payment plan. If I ever have any questions, they attend to me very well. I give them a call and they let me know what's going on. And they've been alerting me if there were any issues.
If there has been anything to settle an account, like I already have the money to pay it off, they let me know as soon as it's ready to settle. They email me or call me and the program on the website tells me how far I'm in my settlements with each card. I already got two down out of the four credit cards that I'm trying to get rid of. It’s been good so far. I have creditors who have sent out law firms on me but it hasn't affected me in any wrong way. It pays for legal litigation.

My brother was 17,000 in debt and somebody recommended Freedom Debt Relief to him. He enrolled into the program, and after two years, he was done. They did a great job for him. I owe more money than my brother and I didn't want to file for bankruptcy. I don't like the idea of going bankrupt. I contacted FDR and I've been working with them and I feel good. When you enroll all the debts that you have to a company like Freedom Debt Relief, the creditors will start sending you letters, "Hey, you gotta pay." They know that you are enrolled into a company already, but they continue sending you letters. Every time they send me a letter, what I'll do is I'll take a picture and I'll load the document to my account.
Everything is working good for now. I've been with Freedom Debt Relief for a little more than a year and I don't know for how long I gonna be with them, but I recommend the company. The customer service is one of the best. Every time I call, they answer very quickly and they work with me. A female person called me the other day and she was offering to get me a loan to pay everything off and then enroll with them. The only difference was I'm gonna finish sooner than with Freedom Debt Relief, and my credit score will probably be good sooner. I don't know if I gonna end up paying more than what I'm paying now, but I'm considering calling them back and seeing how this would work. It's best to finish as early as I can, but for now, I'm staying. Somebody from Freedom Debt Relief told me that company's like Freedom Debt Relief's sister, so both of the companies work together.

Updated on 11/11/2021: I would highly recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone. Working with them gave me peace of mind. I am more than halfway through the program and the majority of my accounts have been negotiated and completely paid. Most of the creditors settled for 50%, some lower with the best being a 35% settlement. The agreed upon payments were reasonable and manageable which is important. The debt can’t be paid if you can’t make the payment. Definitely worth looking into for your personal needs. Glad I did!

I started FDR in May 2020 because I was in so much debt and was receiving calls from debt collectors constantly. I didn't know how to handle everything and I saw an advertisement for FDR. I did my research prior to contacting them and they were all glowing. I could not find one negative review; so, I decided to contact them. I have not regretted my decision yet. The initial process was lengthy but necessary because they literally take care of everything. I have not received one debt collection call since enrolling. They state upfront that your credit score will decrease, which it has, but nothing significant. I have had three of my debts negotiated since May. I am 100% satisfied with FDR and encourage people who are deep in debt to do the same.

I was in a bad spot and needed some help. I filled out papers and everything that I wanted to put in there and Freedom gave me a quote on how they could help me meet that. That's what we did and so far, it's working. Hopefully, they're getting me in control again. They're taking care of everything and it's taken a little pressure off. I'm not getting the hateful messages and all that stuff that goes with it. They've got it all under control. Also, the representative was nice and he seemed to know what he was talking about.

I did a search on the internet and Freedom showed up. I called them and they ran through the program. The customer service has been great. I'm still waiting for them to resolve all of the accounts. But they did explain how it worked, including the fee structure, which was a little high, but it is what it is. They're all fairly standard. They onboarded me once the sales rep knew that I was gonna sign up. He handed me off to an internal account manager and they reach out periodically with some tips and techniques. They also request to get on their portal and check my account information. They provide some updates there as well.

I picked FDR because it sounded like they would help me in my situation. I talked to their rep about the situation and he said he would do whatever he should do to see about helping me. He sounded very honest and very sincere, like he really wanted to help me. They provided a program to lower the amount of money I owe on my credit cards to make them more affordable. They ran over what I owed, contacted the companies, and offered me a settlement. They tried to negotiate a lower amount of debt. It's all very good and working out. I was making regular payments but I had to lower them because of the coronavirus and losing 50% of my income and my wife's not working. FDR tried to take a very tough situation and make my life a bit easier. If anyone asks, I would recommend FDR to get them of a tough situation.

One of my friends recommended Freedom to me and he said it was pretty good. And it is good. I like it. They consolidated my credit cards and they helped a lot. They would email me all the information and I didn't need to call them or anything like that. I just talked to one man the first time and he told me the process and I enrolled all my debts with them. I'm happy that I did that. For the payment plan, they asked me if I could pay a certain amount a month and I agreed that I could do it. Everything was good until I paid it off.

I’ve been satisfied with everything. Freedom Debt Relief helped me when I was in a bad bind going through a divorce. The worst part is your credit gets bad, so it's made it difficult. I can't buy a house right now, but hopefully, my credit will go back up soon. Everybody has been helpful. They're always sending out emails. When something happens, they let me know instantly, so it was good. From Freedom Debt Relief, I went to the sister company a few months and since I swapped over, a lot more is being done now.
Everything is going good right now. We haven't settled with Citibank yet, but that's the only one that's left to be settled with. I understand it takes time to have to build up and then all of the fees that they've taken out, it only went to one settlement. It was gonna take longer than I expected, but it was the biggest amount that I had on there, so I can understand that. I know it's not gonna be a fast process and I'm being patient with it.

The fees are horrible and weren't explained to me when I signed up .. How could you know my payment amounts without knowing settlements! 22% FEES WAS WORST THAN MY INTEREST ON MY CREDIT CARDS..... I sent a rush payment of $600 on June 3rd because you said you needed it for a payment and the payment was never made. So account went back into negotiations.

Freedom Debt Relief took care of all of my debts. The person I dealt with the initial set up was very nice and I felt great with it. Their fees are a little high. But I don't have to deal with my debts. They offered the lowest payment for me at the time that I could actually afford. I pay every month for protection that a lawyer will help me if one of the companies decides that they wanna take different actions. Then when they won or settled, they took another lawyer fee for several hundred dollars and I didn't know that was supposed to happen. I shouldn't have to pay twice.

I love Freedom Debt Relief. I've had them for two years now and there was one occasion where I told the rep I wanted to skip a month's payment. I was pressed for debt that month and they allowed me to go ahead and skip that month. They are extremely efficient too. They paid off one account and they have another account that has been negotiated. Right now, they're negotiating how much to pay the creditor per month, and then that will be settled significantly less than what the debt was. I like Freedom Debt Relief's service and the way they operate. Their method of communication to their clients is terrific.

I knew I needed to do something, and I needed somebody to help me. I googled debt relief companies and Freedom came up. They had good reviews that's why I called them, and then I liked what I heard. The customer service has been great. If there are any issues or anything, or I have any questions, I call and they answer. They do everything as expeditiously as they can to answer my questions or resolve anything, if there are any issues. I got one debt settled and paid off. And one has been settled so I'm paying it off now. There's another one that probably even later this year yet where they expect it to be settled. If you do sign up, try to stick with it. Whatever your deposit amount will be monthly, do all you can to keep that current because once they reach settlement, that’s what pays it off.

When I talked to FDR, they laid out a good decent plan that I thought would be right for me. They said that in approximately four years, I would be able to be debt free as far as my credit card debt. The reps were polite, respectful, and answered all the questions. And if they didn't know, they would find out and get back with me. I have three credit cards and they've paid a major one. I have seven or eight in the works right now and I have about 10 more to go.

Freedom's customer support seemed a lot better and they were more knowledgeable so I went with them. They consolidated our credit cards. We sent them over what we ought out in credit. They ran a credit report and came back with a proposal over X amount of years, and it's gone from there. The guy I dealt with was very good. He had all the answers. Any questions I've had over the past year, I've always emailed them and they're quick to respond. I'm very satisfied. The program has worked good. They've been doing everything they said it was gonna do so I'm pleased. Freedom has taken a lot of stress off of the collection calls and I'm not looking over my shoulder anymore for them.

Freedom Debt Relief was the only company there at the time, so I figured I'd try them. We did mostly credit cards and one big loan. We used to fax back and forth. Now my machine doesn't work like it used to because I changed phone companies and the one I got doesn't have a fax hooked up on that. But Freedom has been putting it on the email and I've been getting it. So far, they've been pretty good, since nobody has been bothering me. Right now, I don't have the money to give them the extra couple hundred dollars. I guess I gotta stay where I'm at. But they're not complaining so everything is well. The people that I talked to have been very nice. I would highly recommend others to use them.

It takes time but we have been able to resolve several of our accounts within less than 2 years. Very well worth the assistance. I only wish I had taken out the actual loan to be done faster. Instead I made the mistake of asking to skip a payment due to covid and got disqualified for the other option the same week.

For so long I kept battling trying to get ahead on my accounts but with their interest rates I was losing the battle and the war. I did not want to file a Chapter 13, or a Chapter 7, and I just about to when I heard a gentleman from Freedom and he explained everything and how they work. My husband kept saying it was too good to be true but Freedom was true and honest with everything they told me. My experience with Freedom Debt Relief was all right, but they charge too much fees. If I had $3,000, they won't let you pay just that off. Whatever you got, they'll take whatever money you had built up and pay so much on each one. I wish I had never gone with them. They told me all that I needed to know. However, I had to get a lawyer. On one of them, on Discover, they sued me. So, I have to pay so much every two weeks. Then with the fees, I could then had it paid off. If I get in trouble with a credit card, I'll just call the company myself and settle.

I had other friends that said they went with Freedom and they loved them. I went with them and they're a great company. The reps are very professional. I've not had a bad experience with one of them. They know what they're saying and they care about the customer so that's good. The dashboard is really nice to have, too. It's easy to navigate. There are other apps that I have for other bills and it's sometimes difficult. FDR's was like, there it is, this is what it is. It's step-by-step. It's a good app compared to others. I'm gonna be changing over to somebody else now ‘cause I did some other loan. Freedom worked with this other company that pays it all off. Now I just pay them and Freedom worked with them to facilitate that. It's going to be great for me in the next few weeks.

For the most part, Freedom's program has been satisfactory. The main thing that they did for us is they've given us some relief in negotiating with the creditors for payoff amounts. I had one person that I worked with to get set up but after that, it goes to different folks. They send me an email whenever they have a new negotiation that needs to be approved. Although I don't speak with them, they have a general phone number that you call to tell them what your situation or question is and they try to get you an answer.
I've been in the program for three years. The only problem that I have is that they told me that it would be paid off within four years. But that didn't happen and it's not going to happen. The only thing that's changed is additional creditors that have been added. It seems like it was a long time in-between. They go, "Okay, we're gonna set this, this, and this up for payment," or maybe just set one or two up for payment. And the rest of the people kinda had to wait until some more negotiations come through. At three years, they were still negotiating. It's extending past the four years that I was told and this was after they reviewed our bills and what had to be paid.

Freedom's rep was very friendly and helpful. I told him my problem, then he looked through the program and told me they have programs that could help me. That’s why I decided to go with them. They went by my income, and they came up with a payment that I could afford in addition to paying my other regular monthly bills. They are negotiating with the creditors and some had been paid off.

First of all, I could not have resolved my debt without the efforts of FDR. I’m truly appreciative of everything they have done to help me get my finances in order. The only negative I have is their high fees added to each negotiation, even for those negotiated by the attorneys that have resolved two creditor lawsuits. In both cases FDR wasn’t engaged but still tacked on a high fee.

From the beginning, FDR has been there helping me. They took each debt and negotiated a settlement for me. In doing so, they did what they said they would do. They helped me in reducing my debt. I've increased the amount of my bi-weekly contributions, to pay off the outstanding debt.. I do not understand why it will take two years to pay off the accounts when the funds are available in my account. Your company charges a settlement fee, when I'm trying to get out of debt.. It wasn't made explicitly clear at the time of the call that my credit will be destroyed. I worked really hard to maintain on-time payments with the creditors. Just to go into delinquent status. I will never recommend this company to anyone. This company is a complete rip-off.

I paid for debt relief services with Freedom Debt Relief and was able to pay my debt off earlier than anticipated. I paid my debt off completely with a final payment that was paid directly through a Freedom Debt Relief representative over the phone on 6/26/2020. At that time I was informed that no further drafts would be taken out of my account since my account was paid in full. However, a draft in the amount of $484.00 was taken out of my bank account on 8/2/20. I called Freedom Debt Relief on 8/3/2020 to file a complaint and to have my funds returned to my account and was informed a refund would be processed immediately.
When I spoke to Freedom Debt Relief on 8/2/2020 I discovered I overpaid so the total amount of the money that needed to be refunded to me was $818.63 of which I was informed would be refunded to me in total. It is now 9/2/2020 and I still have not received my refund. I was also supposed to get a Graduation Package providing proof of all of my debt settlements being paid and have not received my packet. I have called Freedom Debt Relief multiple times and keep getting the runaround. Each time I call I am told to give them 3-5 days to resolve my issue and I have been told my issue has been escalated but then nothing is resolved. I still have not received my refund totaling $818.63 and I have not received my graduation package.
I just spoke to Freedom Debt Relief again today and have been given the runaround again and was told to allow another 3-5 business days for my issue to be resolved. Freedom Debt Relief took money out of my bank account that they were not authorized to take and they are holding on to my money and are not issuing me a refund. Additionally, per the contract they are supposed to send me a Graduation Package within 30 days from the date my account was paid in full and it has now been over 60 days and I have not received my Graduation Package.

When my husband wasn't working, I used up the card and the payments got overwhelming for me. I never missed a payment, but it was too much going into that while there were other stuff I had to do. So, I decided to sign up with Freedom Debt Relief. My sister had gone through them and she introduced the company to me. They consolidated my debts and let me have one payment that is manageable. So far, I'm pleased with their service. Everything has been good and the payment plan that they have for me is comfortable. It fit into my budget, too. Everybody at FDR also answered my questions when I had them, and when I called, I always had someone to talk to, which is good. I like that. Other than that, when I consolidated my debts, my credit score had fallen way down. But now I see it going back up and I’m not sure if it's because I made my payment. I just can't wait to finish paying all my debts so I can get my credit score back to where it was.

Not as big of savings as sold to me before I started. Lots of fees, tax implications etc. By the time all said and done will have paid almost as much as debt was at start. Credit ruined anyways, bankruptcy might have been the better option.

Being in the debt relief program has been great. The lawyers have kept me from having to go to court, which would have been frightening for me. Working with a difficult debt that doesn't want to give a little can be tiresome, but they do not give up. I asked why my paid off account still shows up as not paid on my credit report. My answer was quick and explained very well why it was still on my report for now. I guess I just want instant gratification when a bill is paid off.

I have given almost $9,000 and still have yet to get rid of any debt completely. Two of those debts were/are well under that amount. They did help me through litigation however. We settled that debt but for some reason that debt is now outstanding again.

After some explaining I understood my own choices in regards to my credit and what the outcome would be depending on whether I agreed to the program. It took some convincing, but I gotta say, I'm nothing but pleased. Every debt they've settled has been at a huge discount, and for a reasonable monthly amount to boot. I had called to explain that there was no money in my bank account and had spoken to a rep who assured me that the regular deposit wasn't going to be taken off my account, I now have a negative of 200 dollars in bank account were do I start from now.
