We were drowning in debt. Freedom Debt Relief was on a family member's recommendation who had used the company before. They have been supportive. Reliable. Lots of communication and representation in court situations. During this most stressful situation I have felt my hand being held and guided. It takes a lot for an individual to reach out and trust when you are in a drowning position. You have to slowly relinquish your pride and dignity to share your financial circumstances. This program has by far been the best program I have opted into. Everyone kept saying, "Don't do it. Don't do it - just file a bankruptcy." I set up a payment plan with Freedom Debt. They handled my accounts and gave me some peace of mind. My credit rating went down a bit but the debt is gone. My credit rating would've gone down but the debt would still be there if not for Freedom Debt.

They were the first company that I came across when I started looking at options. But I really didn't feel the need to look further because the reps that I interacted with were very nice, helpful and understanding. When they showed me right off the bat how much money I could be saving every month by going with debt consolidation, it was a no-brainer.
When they determined the amount of money I have to pay every month for the consolidated payment, they let me split it up into two payments. So they were very, very accommodating to my needs. I finished paying off everything about three weeks ago. I've submitted to Freedom Debt Relief all the money I need to. I'm very happy and very grateful that I came across them. I have been having help from Freedom Debt Relief for almost three years. They just settled my last credit card for me, so very soon I will be done with the program. They definitely helped my settling all of my accounts for me, I do feel maybe settlement fees Have been taken out double sometimes. I haven't quite understood that part but overall they have helped.

I did the program for about two and a half years. I'm done with them and I just had my graduation. I didn't have to worry about everything getting paid. They did it. The only thing I didn't like about them was some of the fees seemed to be a little ridiculous.

I was offered a loan to pay off all the debts... However the loan would be for another 4 years at the same as what I am paying and it would be about $7000 interest.. Right now I should have everything paid off in 2 to 3 years.

A friend of mine used Freedom quite successfully to consolidate her debt. So I also used them to consolidate some outstanding credit card debt of about $20,000. They consolidated it and allowed me to pay it off now, after settling with the card companies. I was really comfortable working with them. I have to have processes outlined before I would initiate them. I wouldn't have gone forward if I didn't understand it.
They told me what I had to pay and then they let me pick the date that I paid it. It seemed that simple and I was pretty comfortable with the amount. It was less compared to the payments I was making to the credit card companies. But in order to complete a settlement, I had to increase my monthly payment. I called customer service and they had an answer in 60 seconds and I got everything straightened out. The customer service has always been really helpful. Being able to work out my credit card debt and walking through the process was really helpful when going through the consolidation process.

Freedom Debt is exactly what their name does. It Frees you from debt. That's exactly what it done for me. I'm Free, I'm Free. It would have taken me 20 yrs to pay off the debt I had by making only the minimum due. But with Freedom Debt it only took me 4yrs to wipe out my debt. I don’t like the way you decide what debts you negotiate and when. You do so without input from your customer, who is the debtor. I think you should consult with your customer. I think you have too many employees who forget who the customer is.

Very good experience, my only change would be that you provide account status more frequent or email me whenever there is a change. My email address is listed above and you also have a phone number. I talked to a couple different companies and Freedom seemed like it was gonna be the easiest. They fixed all of the credit card debts that I had and put it into a lump sum. I started paying them one at a time and negotiating a lower settlement with them. At the very beginning, there was supposed to be some follow-up. I kept getting a post that came up on my dash that said I needed to do an introduction conversation, which I did a million times. It just never came off. Other than that, I've had fairly limited contact with them. Setting up the payment plan was pretty straightforward. The monthly payoff is still a little difficult but I know that it has to be that amount. As I started seeing things getting dealt with and paid off, there were a couple of the debts that would not negotiate. But it was not Freedom’s fault. It certainly made my monthly financing a little easier to work with.

The fact that my credit score is suffering at the moment sucks, but it will all be worth it at the end. The settlements so far have cut what I owed in half or more. If I did it myself, I would’ve been stressed out, paid full amount plus interests, and struggled along the way. Do not understand charging the monthly fee for October when I was told on phone Wednesday night I would not be charged. Overall very satisfied with Freedom and y’all have been great getting all my cards reduced. $19.95 may not be a lot to some but for myself on social security every cent counts. I spoke with about two other companies but I was able to go with Freedom Debt based on the manner I was taken through the process. They were also more detailed and open. They took me step-by-step how to take down my debt. They also kind of educated me about the options and the laws that are in place that gives me the right option to go to offices or organizations like Freedom Debt Relief to take off my debt. They were able to match up all my debt and gave me a manageable way to reach my budget to be able to pay down my debts. They gave me options as to how much I'll be paying. It’s always good to talk to people based on the amount that they’re able to pay or their pocket to pay out for their loan.
They also have an online portal to check on my account. They give me email updates, and then I can check all the progress made on my loan payments and which credit card company is being paid. Working with Freedom Debt gives me rest of mind because now I know my debt and I can pay it off. I stopped receiving all kind of calls that I used to receive, which was really mind-boggling. They are courteous and professional workers. When you give them a call to make inquiries, they tend to answer your questions pretty well. Freedom Debt Relief is a good company. They are reliable and they're doing what they told you they would do.

A few years ago, we tried another company but I got this sinking feeling that it really wasn't suiting our needs. It didn't seem to be working for us. When I saw my first settlement offer a few months after starting the program, I was ecstatic to see the amount they were able to negotiate for me. My concerns all boil down to a person not realizing what high-interest credit cards will do to you. It isn’t like you pay back $1 for $1 you're charged. You end up paying back a whole lot more than that $1. It's just like the government has given them a green light to charge over what they want to on fees, and interest rates. And before you know it, you’re in too deep, you can't get out. You have to have help.
I'm old now. I'm in my 60s, but I've had credit cards all my life and always had a perfect record. I never not paid back any debt. It was always perfect. And then, all of a sudden, one day, it was okay for them to charge 16%, 17%, 18%, 23% interest. And when that happened, all of a sudden, people couldn't ever dig their way out of a hole. The credit card company profits on their sale if you're gonna charge somebody 30% interest. I get offers in the mail right now for credit cards with 33% interest. You ever hear the beat of that? 33%. That's the goofiest thing I ever heard. And credit card companies have brought this on themselves. I'm just thankful to have heard of a company like Freedom Debt Relief that you can turn to to get some help. Everybody's not capable of climbing out of a hole when you're paying 25% 26% interest. You can never find your way out.
Ken gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him anytime I have any concerns. That was pretty neat. Not everybody’s gonna give you a personal number that you can call them and it's direct to them. That was pretty impressive. They've got it pretty well down pat. They negotiate on your behalf, and they take care of everything. All you do is just pay your fee and they do the rest of it. It's a wonderful service and a very needful thing in this day and time. If credit cards wanna pay that kind of interest, let them deal with somebody that's gonna negotiate with them. Because when you get your customer in a hole where they can't dig out, be ready to deal with somebody like Freedom Debt Relief because debt is something that credit card companies thrive on.
The credit cards have got a bit too sweet a deal for them because they can charge whatever interest rate they want to. And it’s like feeding a baby candy for every meal. Sooner or later, you're gonna have problems. And it's your fault for feeding them that many calories. This interest rate that they charge is destroying people. It finally got to me and I never reneged on a debt in my lifetime, or lose anything until rates got so high I couldn’t afford them. And all of a sudden, you can't use your credit card like you used to because they will bury you in debt.
I'm already at least two years into the program. I'm satisfied. Freedom does a good job. They let you know, just as soon as they got to the point to where they can negotiate and make the payment, and pay one of them and get rid of it, and move on to the next one. Also, they always send alerts and highlights, and let you know what they're doing and where they're at. And they keep communication open with you. Another good thing is whenever you call them, it doesn't matter who answers the phone. It doesn't have to be Ken. They would look at your file and they would all get it figured out like they have all been taught how the program works, and they're extremely knowledgeable. It doesn't matter who you talk to. They know what you're talking about. And they can tell you every move to make. They're top-notch now. I recommend them highly. If you get buried in debt, they're about the only hope you're gonna get.

You are supposed to be settling my debts and paying with the money I provide you monthly. You gave a company permission to take money out of my personal bank account. Then I called 3 times and talked to 3 different people to explain my issue. I had to tell each person what had happened because there was no notes in the account. Then I was told two different times that a manager would be in touch with me about this and the charges would be reimbursed. Not once have I been contacted and the money is still missing out of my account and it has been 5 days.
I understand you are helping me settle my debt but at the same time you are making money off of me so I shouldn't have to call you and the other company numerous times to get my money back. This means that I paid you guys this month to settle my debt and paid the company you are supposed to be paying off for me. This could be an easy mistake but the fact I have called 3 times and no one knows what is going on and I still haven't been contacted by a manager blows my mind.

While I was browsing on the internet, I came across Freedom Debt Relief. At the time, I was contemplating on getting on some kind of debt consolidation and it just so happened that they were the ones that I saw first online. The service relieved some of the stress at the time. Right now, I'm very satisfied. It gives me peace of mind. The initial person I dealt with was a male and he was very helpful. He walked me through the process at the time I signed up and it's very informative. Everything was out there. They’ve been very truthful about the process. I was planning to buy a house or a home the time I signed up so he assured me that everything will be done.
The service from Freedom was exceptional and setting up a payment worked very well. It's according to my time schedule. I wasn't forced and they let me pick out the date. So, that worked out perfectly. Working with Freedom impacted my life in a positive way and in terms of reaching my financial goal. They kept the creditors from harassing us and out of court. They made the process fairly easy to understand. The dashboard made things easy to keep track and reference to stay on track. We are not sure that we saved as much money in the long run but now we only pay one instead of several.

Customer service is always very kind and helpful. There have been numerous times when I needed to delay full payment for 1-6 days depending on the timing of my paycheck and it has never been a problem. Competitors call almost daily and I have zero desire to even hear what they have to say. I'm already set up with you guys and I don't have to do anything at all to deal with the creditors. I was under the impression that the only fee was taken out of my monthly payment. However I got charged a lot more in fees and therefore did not save me as much as when I had talked to the creditors myself. It should be told that there is much higher fees to follow with settlements.

A friend of mine used Freedom Debt Relief and she said they were really great. That is when I enrolled. So far, it has been amazing. I got a bunch of settlements and more to come. They check up on you to make sure everything is going good, or if you have any questions. They're very professional. You're going into something that could change or could be scary, but they make you feel very comfortable and they let you know that they're there for you. There are many other people that have done the program as well and it has been successful. I save more money and I'm less stressed to know that I have that financial burden being helped out.

Updated on 08/19/2022: Been in the program for about two years now making payments and we’re now at the point of having settled or close to settling all of the CC that I had submitted into this program. Going well, but still more time before I’m out of all this and will be able to start rebuilding my credit. The program has been helpful I would recommend it to people that have run out of options to try to stop the bleeding and get things handled with the help of FDR team.
Updated on 08/23/2021: Now that I’m in next stages. Needed more info. Don’t feel comfortable in the current steps now due to being served and going to the next level of the issues. Seems like an ok good luck in the next stages but we can’t help anymore.
Original Review: Right now I’m in the hammered with calls and email phase of the process. Looking forward to getting to the settlement phase, so I can rebuild my credit as fast as possible. Just a month or so into this am I down to a credit score of 530... ugh.

My daughter-in-law had used Freedom Debt Relief in the past and she had experience with them. She said that they always did what they said they were gonna do. I looked at a couple and checked into it but I went with her recommendation. Their customer service has always been excellent. Anytime I've had a question, they always got on it and looked into it, and found my answer. If there was a problem, they took care of it. I work with whoever is available but they all have access to the records and whatever the situation is. In the beginning, I worked with the same one but then, as I got further into the program, it would be just whoever would answer. I would say what I needed and they would take care of it. I've never had an issue. I’ve been in the program for almost two years. It was gonna take four years so I'm about half through.

I read up on Freedom Debt Relief and thought they were good. My progress was really good at first, but I had problems for a while. They were due top the pandemic and just things happening. It's my fault. It has been really good. I talked to customer service. They were very nice and helpful, and they always helped me out. My bills are getting paid. The time frame depends on what I give them to pay my bills. FDR is doing good.

I reviewed some stuff about Freedom and I thought this would be the best place for me to be there as I was trying to sort out my problem because I was having these debts. Freedom would be able to help me. They offered me a program and it's a good program. I was really doing well. But when the COVID came up, I got laid off. Now, I don't have a job. So these things have caused a little bit of a problem. Otherwise, everything was going on very smoothly. Even now, I'm really, really thankful to Freedom Debt Relief people.
They are really good in the sense that they realize the problem and they had been really helpful. It's a great experience to be with them. They are really, really responsible and they take good care of my matters. They have been very kind and extremely understanding. It’s nice to know all my worries are gone. It’s fun to be with them. I am anxious to be debt free. Not happy that it takes so long to get negotiations done cause I am getting 20 calls a day but I guess this is just part of the process. I don't really have anything else to add.

Everything was quick and great service. The agent gave me a quick update on my account. She talked how I only got 3 accounts left, 2 in process and 1 left to negotiate. I tried to find somebody to help me with the problem with my credit cards. I called many times different companies. When I called Freedom Debt Relief, they gave me an estimate about the payment every month and also the process. They convinced me. I like that because they called me many times and explain me everything in the process. I feel very good with their customer support because with the Coronavirus, I am off with my work for more than three months and sometimes I don't have money in my account to make a payment. But when I called them, the rep understood me all the time. I tried to find a solution for my problem. So I am happy with the company. I have given their number to other friends and family to make the same process like me.
I've been in the program for one year and a half, and my total payment is for four years. Freedom Debt Relief already closed one account and they have three more accounts. In a few months, they will close. Discovery Bank sent me a letter. I called Freedom Debt Relief and they told me to send all the document that Discovery sent. Then they gave me back some documents I need to sign and go to the notary office. I hope this week they find a solution for that problem. But right now, I feel great with the Debt Relief.

After my divorce, I had significant credit card debt. I had a very good interaction the Freedom Debt Relief rep. I stopped making payments on the credit cards, which gave them leverage in order to negotiate with the credit cards and lower a settlement for so many cents on the dollar. I know exactly what my monthly payment is that goes into my account where the settlement money is being taken out of. I'm very satisfied with the settlements they've made so far and looking forward to finishing out the term. I would talk to them, tell them to talk to the creditors, and then also compare what the debt amount is. Freedom Debt Relief can be a great resource.

I was not informed that my creditors could issue a 1099c for my settlement. I was lead to believe that my creditors were be paid over several months, not one creditor in two months while other creditors are left hanging with no settlement and I could be facing legal action. There was so much left out of what I could and should expect that I wish I would have talked to several agencies before signing a contract.

They're working on all my credit card bills and they're getting things lowered. And if there are any issues with my monthly payments, I could always call them and they lower it. The representative helped me immensely with my questions; she stood with me on the phone while I reviewed documentation and told me additional items that were needed. I'm not satisfied with the process of how they do business. When we first started out the service was good but then things started slowly going downward. The settlements are poorly handled and there always seems to be a problem with them. They only contact the creditors once in the beginning of the program and then I end up getting sued because they do not contact them at all after that. I am not pleased with the process at all.

Overall I’m happy with the program but disappointed that so much went for fees the first year. I think more emphasis on getting debt reduced quicker and adding fees later in the program would be more beneficial for plan participant.

I had a couple of outstanding debts that I wanted to get cleared up and I needed a way to keep things structured and be able to start paying it off. I heard about Freedom Debt Relief and looked them up. Then, I called and talked to them. The rep was straight up and honest with me, and made things easy for me to be able to get what I needed to get done. It couldn't have been any simpler than the way Freedom set it up. The payment plan was good. If I needed anything, they made sure I was taken care of. They've been able to negotiate down the debt and now, I’m about to graduate from the program. I'm down to my last creditor and we’re already in the process of making payments on it. I would recommend Freedom 100% to anybody that I know that’s having any debt issues, especially large debt issues.

It seems like everything is being settled for the original amounts when we submitted balances. The interest and penalties are now so high they are almost doubled from what was originally submitted. I was hoping it was going to be quicker.

So far, it's pretty good with Freedom Debt Relief. They help me out a lot. The reason I needed the service from them was I had way too many credit cards piled up and all bills from left and right. I was paying way too much interest. When I looked online, they said Freedom Debt Relief was the best. They were the first to pop up and I gave them a call. For the payment plan, they worked it out really well with me. They have a new plan because of the pandemic going on right now. They told me I’m good until January of next year. They're gonna reset the payment again. Only thing discouraging me right now is I'm not working so I cannot provide any payments to them. But they saved me. It relieved a lot of stress from me. I don't have to be worried about these credit cards.

I looked at the reviews and Freedom Debt Relief had the best ones. I did debt consolidation with them. They made it easy and lowered my debt by half. They took my thousand dollar a month minimum payments to pass and out of eight bills, I only have two left. They have been amazing. One of the best choices I made. I love it.

I searched online who was better and Freedom Debt Relief came up. That was how I picked it. The process was pretty easy. They just asked what was it I wanted and they told me how they were going to do it. I have a year and a half left and I just have one-third of it. I will have the cards paid off faster that way than I would’ve on my own. The service is good. You can look online on your account or you just call and talk to somebody.

We purchased our house and there was a lot more that needed to be fixed there than what we realized. We used a credit card and then after the year, we still didn't pay it off, so we ended up having to get another one. Interest rates were getting too bad. One thing led to another and we ended up having a few credit cards that the interest rates were just killing us where we almost got to the point where we couldn’t make minimum payment. We decided to get ahead of ourselves and join Freedom Debt Relief, after months of searching different places, that way we could get our debt paid off before we got ourselves into trouble or to the point where we couldn’t afford to pay. They have one of the highest star ratings along with what other people have stated. We've also known other people that have looked into them as well.
We chose the six years program but we end up paying on a little bit extra just so that we could get everything paid off sooner. From day one, any questions, no matter how small, they would answer. What I loved about them is that they never made me feel stupid. One of the questions I had was about if we wanted to add extra payment and how we’d do that. They calmly explained and they didn't use too much of big words. We understood what they were saying. The lady that we worked with was amazing. No matter what time, we could call. One time it was 9 o'clock at night and they answered right away and were very helpful.
We have two different debit card accounts. Freedom only allows one at a time, which makes us feel better because of all the fraudulent things that are going on in the US. They talked with step by step, let us know that they're gonna start with a smaller credit first and then work their way up to the biggest ones. They explained that after we get a certain amount accrued then they go after certain creditors. They let us know which step they're in step by step. They let us know when their targeted date is for that specific credit and they don't do anything without consulting us. So, if we don't agree on a settlement, then they'll go back and try to rebut. They've saved us so much money on all of the credit cards, ‘cause a lot of it was just interest.
I didn't expect the company to be that good. It was definitely the right decision. We have two credit cards completely paid off on and then we did a consolidation loan with their sister company to get the other two knocked out. Freedom has been with us literally every step of the way. I am glad we did it. We've been really satisfied and we finally have a breathing room. This year, we don't have to worry about which bill to pay during the winter, because we're paying over $800 in just credit card debt ‘cause most of its interest. It’s worth it.

If I would have know this would have destroyed my credit and that they charge over $10,000 I would not have used this company. The extra $10,000, if I had it back would have been used to pay for the bills I’ve been trying to pay off.

Everything is good with Freedom Debt Relief. I've been with them for a couple years now and I've been happy. The program runs so smoothly that it's very rare that I need to get in touch with them. It's just a monthly deposit. When considering a debt relief program, you have to make sure you have everything in order and keep good records. I've received numerous calls from Freedom Debt saying they found a new debt that was not enrolled and if I would like to enroll it in the program.
When I do investigate what it is and make all the phone calls, we find out that it is a debt that was originally enrolled and it's just a creditor that has sold my debt and changed the account number. So it's very important to have good records and keep track of your original account numbers so that if something like that happens, you can go back and track your original account numbers and know what they were when you started. Otherwise, you can be paying out on debts that you already have enrolled and you don't even know it. You're making duplicate payments and keep enrolling debts but you've already got enrolled. They're just under new names and new account numbers. You're never getting out of debt then.

I found Freedom Debt through Facebook. I clicked on the link and went to my computer and made some research on their reviews and how they handle individual steps. I made a phone call and due to that phone call, it convinced me not to shop for other companies. Customer service was great and the person who assisted me fully explained how the company works or how each account is worked as far as them contacting the creditors individually and trying to negotiate an offer. He also explained to me that it was not going to be an easy or quick process. He said not to expect that we would get an acceptance of the offer immediately from contacting all the creditors.
They also mentioned to me that, based on the amount of my debt or the accounts that I was interested in putting with them, the monthly deposit, how they needed around two, three months or four months of that amount to be deposited before they would start contacting those accounts that I had, the smallest debt going to the largest ones. I usually go to my portal, and they're very good at texting me when there's an account that they're willing to negotiate that I have to accept. I would highly recommend that company to any other friends that will go through the same problem that I had.

I am, as I have stated before, not completely satisfied with the negotiated settlements. Accrued interest should hopefully be eliminated in the settlement or at least part of it. I also have an account #** that I have been paying on monthly and am not delinquent. This card should not be among the cards you are negotiating. Please remove this card as I would like to get this card paid. I am going to pay in full unless you have come to some type of negotiated settlement. Perhaps I can pay a reduced one time cash payment.

This is by far the worst thing I could’ve done. What was supposed to help me has put me in so much more debt. I was only supposed to be paying $283. Now after 2 lawsuits I’m paying $493! I should’ve never signed up for this. Biggest scam ever. What they tell you is not how it happens. They haven’t helped me at all.

I saw Freedom Debt Relief advertised on television. When I realized I needed a solution, I then looked them up and did some comparisons with some reviews and found that they had so much more success that I could see. The process was great. My agent was very personable and understanding. She shared concerns that I had and was able to talk me through those. Getting started, I didn't feel like I was being pressured or put in an uncomfortable place. I felt like I was allowed to start it at my own pace. Initially, I had one person who I was always reaching out to with questions. But since then, I really haven't had much phone conversations with anybody until settlement started coming in. I was getting calls then to discuss what my next steps were.
It looks like the long haul at first and it is. But if you commit to it and take advantage of any opportunities you have along the way to throw a little bit extra into the account, you will see it start to happen. You have to be patient with the process and follow the guidelines. The guidelines are very clear. I would highly recommend it to friends that were in a similar circumstance.

UPDATED 3/23/2021: They say they will give a 250 rebate for each new referral I give. I referred my son. We did what they said about waiting a couple of months to request the rebate. Well, surprise, surprise. They found some obscure rule that made it impossible for me to get that rebate. BEWARE!! These people lie!!

When I queried about my bonus you gave me some mumbo jumbo about my son's state NH NOT ALLOWING IT!!! And that I would receive no bonus. There was debt relief program available in Omaha and I was still working at the time. They wanted a payment of 775 a month and they were ridiculously high. I found Freedom Debt Relief online and I pay them 124 every two weeks. I've had a good relationship with them. They chose my amount and they wanted me to increase it. But I couldn’t since I'm on retirement and my income has been cut in half.
I had 32 years and three months at the post office and instead of my payment going down, which would've been easier for me because I retired, Freedom wanted me to increase my payments. I can go out and make cash plus my retirement and not be cashed on it. So it could be 1,000 a year. But I haven't done it yet because I had knee surgery and I'm at the end of that. They need to maybe be a little more understanding about what you're going through and not wanting to increase your debt. I can't make it go away any faster. But other than that, I haven't had any problems with them. My credit has gone up and some of my credit cards have been paid off. I have about 5,000 left on it.

I got injured at my job and I lost my job, and we got so behind the creditors with the bills. I looked Freedom Debt Relief up and saw all the good reviews, which was why we went with them to help us with one big payment instead of going for bankruptcy. The reps were wonderful and handled everything. The monthly payment falls in our budget. It’s only my husband working right now with the corona and everything going on. Sometimes, it’s slow. Shan was very helpful due to the fact that one of the debtors specifically Lenmark said Freedom Debt was taking my $ and even laughed at me. Is it would be helpful if you were more proactive on dealing with hostile creditors. They are very threatening and relentless. Also confirming receipt of documents submitted through your web site. It seemed that the fell into a hole never to be seen again. However your direct communication with staff was great and productive.

I have contacted you and tried to get you to get in touch with all of my creditors to tell them you’re handling my affairs, but you did not do this and now I’ve been sued once and have a garnishment on my wages. I feel with the company had been contacted by you and told that you were dealing with my affairs this may not have been the case, I even signed up for legal help and I got a jump through hoops to get that so I’m not very satisfied with the overall of how things are working out because I am now down $500 a month from what I normally make on top of the $500 I pay you and it’s gonna be a struggle to get through this.

I had too much credit card debt and couldn't get out of it on my own. Freedom Debt Relief lowered the amount of what I owed. I've been very pleased. I spoke to a couple of different consultants at various times and it couldn't be more pleasant. They're very helpful and they're not judgmental. The lady from Freedom Debt that I talked to was good. She explained everything pretty much down to the tee, what would be going on and everything. My only thing right now is it really puts a strain on me to have so much money taken out each month. It’s $540 something. That's a lot of money for somebody on a fixed income. But we're trying to do the best we can. They're doing what they said that they were gonna do, so I'm trying to be a happy customer.

If you have a small claim go for it but for a debt relief program over 25000 is not the length they tell you at first.. I am finding out the hard way, your credit will take a hit. Time will be much longer they say and there is really no person to help you get settle unless you meet a certain amount which is something you could definitely do by yourself. Very disappointed after a year and half.

Someone I know was doing a program with Freedom Debt Relief and they said they could help pay my credit card bills and fix my credit. I've been with Freedom for four years. I sent to their rep all my credit card numbers. Then Freedom made some agreements with some of the companies that I had credit cards for. They paid a couple off by coming to an agreement in some certain amount and paying a little bit at a time.
I've been giving Freedom 148 every two weeks 'cause I couldn't do the straight three all in one time. I just make sure the money is there and they've just been taking the payments out of my account. They demanded their money even through COVID-19. So I missed payments a couple of times. I was at the point where I could barely pay rent, but at least I could pay them. So it has been rough but I've been trying my best to get my credit score down. But my credit score doesn't seem to be going up. My fiance seems to think that they're not helping. I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna stay with them 'cause another company's gonna wanna take money out, and I really can't afford to have two people take their money out. But right now, the money's there and they're still taking it out.

So far in less than 6 months, it has settled 4 of my accounts and most are more than 50% or more off that I owed the credit card companies. As well my monthly payment is less than all the monthly credit card charges would be monthly.

I knew a couple of people who had used Freedom Debt Relief, and they said that they never had a problem with them and they worked very well with the customer. I called and spoke to them and liked them. So, I went with them. Speaking with the reps has been very informative. They told me what I needed to know and they always asked us for an approval first before they did anything. It was nice working with them and the customer service was fantastic. Every time you call customer service, they don't pass you off to certain people. They handle it themselves, which is what I like. Freedom negotiates with the company and then, they advise me of what the negotiations ended up with money-wise, whether we agreed to go with that or not. If not, then they wouldn't negotiate further. They are getting my bills paid and it has got us almost back on track.

85% satisfied. They need to do a better job of informing clients that no negotiations are going to occur until you build up a good amount of money in your account. If I knew this upfront I may have not enrolled in the program. I can't wait until the bill collectors stop calling.

Updated on 03/09/2021: They have made it easy to get out of credit card debt. They're the best debt collector and been around for a while. If you have any type of debt over $10000 there to talk to and ask questions anytime. If you have any type of debt call and ask questions. They're wonderful.
Original Review: They're reasonable and very helpful. They're very patient. When you have to sign they answer your questions and he’ll decide if it’s right for you. If you're unsure if you have enough debt they can let you know. If not they will suggest other options for you.
