Your company took large fees before my debt was paid, your representatives only explain that 20.00 a month was going to be charge, not 400.00 on the first enrolled debt. Your company is supposed to help the client, not rip them off.

So far so good. Hard to be patience but Freedom has explained this needed to happen. Great customer service and they answer all questions. First debt reduced and agreed to. A huge saving and the credit card company seems to be happy also.

I was so worried that I would never be able to overcome my debt after my accident. I worried about it continually building and inhibiting me from buying a house and starting a family. I never knew how I was going to ever pay my debt off after getting extremely backed up due to COVID. It’s very overwhelming and always a weight on my shoulders. I have had a great experience so far. I am just getting started so not much is happening which is normal. I feel reassured that they will be here for me, I got my first email saying I was a late with my payment. I kind of freaked out a little. I couldn't get a hold of the guy that signed me up but remembered I could send an email. I attached my email and asked if I needed top let them know or what to do. They responded quickly and assured me that this is the process. I felt much better after that. I hope things continue to go this smoothly until I graduate.

I calculated that my dedicated account had enough funds within a month to pay off my settlements. I called FDR, I received a prompt answer, the CSR did a great job making sure I was on the right track and amending my future payments to avoid overpayment. UPDATED 5/26/2021: Since signing up with them less than a year ago we have eliminated some huge debt and it's been a huge stress reliever. I'm not sure where we would be today if we didn't make the leap back then so we are very thankful for the help.

I have always paid my bills on time. Due to Covid my business suffered and I fell behind on my credit cards and I wasn’t able to make payments. Freedom Debt Relief has saved me from this financial setback and now I can continue to keep my business and get my credit back at a good standing, by approving and helping me with this program when I desperately needed it. I am self employed and work cleaning residential duct systems and also an HVAC specialist with 22 years experience. For the 1st time in 14 years, I wasn’t able to work for The first quarter of the year. Those 3 months I lived off my savings and was not able to pay my credit cards. Most people didn’t want any contractors in their home due to this pandemic. Business finally picked up and I have returned to work. It is still slower than previous years but slowly we are getting back to our normal everyday work.
I am now excited that there is a solution and I am able to make the payments given to me by Freedom Debt Relief. I was thinking about consolidating my loans, and a Freedom Debt advertisement came up, and I decided to call. I spoke to Joshua and he was very patient. He walked me through the process and explained everything to me. I went into a debt settlement program because I was making a bunch of payments, and it got expensive, and then it was just minimum payments. I found that it was a little easier to make a one lump sum payment, and hopefully negotiate for a lower balance on making payments.
Freedom was able to come up with the amount that I’ve been able to stick to. I could also make an additional payment to help the process which is I'm hoping to do. My credit score initially went down because we had to wait and negotiate and make payments. But my credit score is heading in the right direction now. I wish the process was a little bit sooner. Then as far as negotiating the debt, I have one more left and I’m still waiting. I'm trying to find out exactly how much it is, so I can make that last deposit so I could be done, then one more that needs to be negotiated. The whole goal is trying to pay off debts as quickly as possible.
People should make sure that this is something that they wanna do because, initially, it would impact their credit score. But other than that, it is a good program to get into if they're trying to negotiate and trying to get one payment, which is easier to manage versus making minimum payments with interest and can make it harder to pay off their balance.

It was hard for me not to worry about payments, but the staff have been very supportive, and the emails have given a lot of great advice.

Freedom Debt Relief works with you to try and help get you out from under your debt without causing you to drown. I've worked with several reps when I've called and they've been very polite and knowledgeable. If you happen to have a really rough time, you can call in to see if they will either stop that payment and add it to the end or cut it in half. They have done that for me before. They have cut the payment in half and they did that for six months. It really helped out. I've only had it one time, and this has been a while too, where I've asked them to not take the payment out and I was kind of refused so that took me aback. It was a shock because the company has helped me before. It was like they didn't have the time. The statement was I've gone into the deal and I knew what I was getting into. But maybe it was just a bad day for them or maybe the rep was new or maybe I just misunderstood her attitude.

Took 2 person, 2 different calls to get some answer, need it answer on what is happening, have $$ just sitting in there. 2 of my debts went to a lawsuit. Have I more I don't want another lawsuit, I not happy.

I had some debts and enrolled into the program. From the very start the person I talked to was very informative and made sure that I understood what was going on. They check in throughout the whole process usually with an email. They make sure you understand what they are doing and why. I sent the request to terminate within 3 days and received a call a few days later saying it was being submitted. Fast forward 2 weeks and another withdraw came out of my account. So I reached out to customer service chat and they tell me repeatedly that I had to follow up with a phone call in order to finish processing it. Nowhere in the termination paper does it say that and when I got the call they just said to call if I had questions, not that I was required to call. So I call customer service where I am told That yes I was supposed to call and I have 3 calls ahead of me. After 7 minutes of being on hold, I get told there’s SEVEN calls ahead of me. I then get disconnected. Tried to call again multiple times where I either couldn’t hear them or I would just randomly get disconnected.
Finally I get through to someone ELSE who tells me that with the termination within 3 days I am NOT required to call and to top it off, they never even submitted my paperwork. So now I’m out roughly $40 in fees because they didn’t bother to terminate when I requested it. Definitely would not recommend this program to anyone! They were dishonest and no two people that I spoke to gave me the same answer. Absolutely terrible experience.

I didn't know an extra payment could only be made through your primary account you had on file so I wasn't able to make an extra payment. The customer service representative was very courteous when explaining. I do wish that accts already settled could still have the option to be paid off earlier than agreed settlement.

Extremely grateful that I found out about this company through an internet advertisement. I been with them for almost 2 years and we already got about half of my debts settled. This company will help you worry less about your debts. Just make sure you make your bi-weekly deposits and they will do the rest. Customer service is awesome along with very helpful. There are pros and cons to everything, and the downside is, that in order for them to do anything, you'll have to stop making payments on your debts which will affect your credit.
But hey, imagine paying thousands of dollars a month in debt and now you are only paying a few hundred a month depending on your situation and what they can offer? That's the pro. The risk is that your credit will be affected. But remember, in economics they have a saying, Risk and Reward, sounds familiar? There is a risk to everything in life and with risks, comes rewards and if you're struggling to pay debts, then FDR is the right place for you.

So far I am very pleased with how they handled my first account, hope the rest goes as well. They keep you informed on the accounts and when they will be working on the next account. The only thing I don't like are the calls from creditors but that goes along with the program.

There was some confusion - and even know - I thought that I was to go the 4yr route at 100.00 a month. The paperwork states 2yr at 200.00 a month. I know that I agreed w/ Michael on the 4yr at 100.00. He said that was the best for me.

I was looking for a way to be able to still pay the bills. I looked online and found Freedom Debt Relief. They make you stop paying your bills so they can negotiate with them but I was at the point where I couldn't make them all anyways. The payments are based on what your debt load is and how much you can handle. I'm paying as much as I can possibly pay right now. There were two times that I could not make the payments ‘cause something came up. That was a major life issue where I needed the money. Because of that, I called them to say they couldn't take the payment out that month and they were fine.
They're fantastic and this is unheard of in this day and age. I've never had a time where I've called them and the person on the other end of the phone didn't understand what they were doing and how they were doing it. No matter who answers over there, when dealing with my case, and sometimes you feel anxiety and stress dealing with that kind of situation on my end, they've always put me at ease. They've always known the answers to the questions I have. I'm pretty shocked by that because there are multiple questions sometimes and they have all the answers. The whole thing's a pain in the butt when you think about it in a life situation. But at the same time, when I call them, I do feel like I'm getting relief.
They have the service where if you need an attorney, it's 12 or 13 bucks a month extra which is what I'm paying. There have been a couple of times I've received a summon and their national law litigation group gets on it right away. I've never had to go to court since I've been with them because their attorney group has always stepped right up and got it taken care of. They don't call that attorney group as often as you'd like. Sometimes you need to call them for an update. You get close to the court date and you're wondering if you need to go to court. But for what you're getting from a bunch of attorneys at that price, if I need to call them once in a while, even though it's a pain in the butt, I'll do it. It's always been good news when it's close to the time where I'm supposed to go to court.

They have been able to reduce the debt I initially signed up with to about half of what I had owed. I’m having issues adding new debt with a lease end balance. They're not accepting the final statement letter because it’s more than 45 days old. I’ve spoken repeatedly to the car finance and they don’t send out any other letters. Still waiting to hear back from FDR on this. I’ve even sent in the email showing the date it was re-sent to still silence.

Everything was going well, until I lost my second job and had no income. The customer service reps did not seem to understand that I HAD to lower my monthly contribution to be able to survive until I found another job. It is not something that I WANTED to do, but I needed to do. The emails and texts telling me that this was affecting any settlements and my end date for getting out of debt was only causing me more stress.

When I call, I talk to anybody that's there. The consultants have been pretty good. They set it up with the bank to take my payment out of my account. UPDATED 1/25/2022: The creditors still call from time to time but over time I have adjusted. My only problem has been was I couldn't add two collections accounts. I don't know if I went through the proper procedure steps but I really need to add two more accounts.

With all the litigation I have received and no calls to my creditors or letters sent out on my behalf like state when you first enter the program has never been done. I have sent a creditor over 10 times to you and still not added to my account but yet charged me for it when it was explained that it was not a secured debt. Then send me notifications that you found new debt that should be added, well I figured that out that the debt that's enrolled has been sold to another name and you want people to believe that it's new debt but really not so you can charge them more money!
We never intended to disappoint, Mr. Mark. Please know we do not collect any fees until a debt is resolved. We are confident in the fact that if the deposit amount changed, it was due to a change in the program enrollment. Freedom Debt Relief is good. I had credit, but my first wife and then my second wife messed it up for me. I did this, I did that and it turned out bad. The world landed on me and I was squished. I was seconds away from doing things that were unthinkable. It was 2017 when I got into the program. The pitch was good, the opportunity was there, and there were no strings. It was plain and simple, “Here's what we do. You do this, you pay this, you're done.” The representative's greeting was personable and instead of my money, they thought about me and getting me out of debt and out of trouble. Every time I asked a question, it’s either “We know the answer," or "We'll get back to you about that.”
The VA was paying me to where I can survive, and then they decided to mess with me. They chopped my normal payments from $2,000 to 900 and some change a month. I had to pay back $6,500, which I'm doing right now and my payments is $450 a month. With the 334 in the adjustment and over $20,000 in credit card and loan debts, Freedom Debt Relief showed me the path and opened the door. I was in over my head, and they threw me a snorkel. That was the first step. From then on out, they gave me a rebreather and I stayed underwater for years, breathing and living. Gradually, the water was draining. It’s life-changing. I feel a lot of weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Since I'm mentally challenged, it calms me down a little to where I have less to worry about and that's a big relief.
I'm almost done with the program and that's awesome. By no means possible do I ever regret going through Freedom Debt Relief. At first when I started out, I thought it was a scheme and I was still uneasy. The next year went by, and I started getting relief. My credit score started moving up as well. I am pleased to open my own account. I do have concerns associated with my old account with my husband (Jimmy **) now deceased. Not only was the money that was agreed upon taken out of my checking account but also the money that was from my previous account with my husband. That account was supposed to be closed and the money in that account to be refunded. I haven’t received anything from the old account. Where did that money go if that account was closed? When are y’all going to send the balance in that account? I can’t afford both.

I'm told (and this is nothing to boast about) that I have the second largest debt consolidation plan with Freedom Debt Relief. Their customer service from the very beginning was superb. They were patient and considerate of the mess I was in - nearly losing my home and in such a unique situation where I legally couldn't declare bankruptcy. I'm over one year into the program and am on an aggressive payoff plan with nearly every creditor. My credit has even increased! But beyond that, I've learned to manage my finances better. I had too much debt. Credit card debt got the best of me. I had to do something 'cause it was getting to the point that the rates were getting too high and I was getting behind with everything. My income wasn't enough to keep it up and I couldn't keep it up any longer so I had to get some help. There were two companies that I considered. I kept looking and finally wrote down Freedom Debt Relief. I decided one day that this was what I needed to do. It sounded like it would be helpful to me. It could help me and bring me some relief and peace of mind.
I feel good with it. I feel that I'm headed toward graduation date. I just have to deal with each year as it comes along. It's not as fast as I wish it could be but I don't have any more money to put in it to speed up the process. I have to be satisfied with what's going on now and I am. I would recommend that you pay off a debt in bigger payments other than payments of 15-20 dollars every two weeks. Wait till my deposit is over 300 and make 2 or 3 payments towards a debt and take away credit cards one by one.

I have enjoyed all the people that have talk to. The customer service is always great. On the other hand though the fees for the settlements are basically the cost of my full debt. This was disappointing to find out after my first settlement, I will be settling all other debt I have on my own.

You said would be out of debt like two years. Told my wife like three years. Well looking like twice as long if not longer. Can not help to think that you are spreading it out so you can charge us a monthly fee. Thought you were here to help not take advantage of people whom are struggling and trying to do the right thing and not filing bankruptcy chapter 7, and here you are stretching it out so you can charge us more and more money for your fees, starting to feel like you are no better than the creditors and you are taking advantage of people whom fell on hard times.

Freedom Debt Relief is worth looking into. They do a good job. I talked to one guy when I first called then got set up with another person when I signed up. They answered my questions and weren't judgmental. It’s going on almost three years now for me and they've gotten three of my six debts already taken care of so I'm happy with that. The first time I did a settlement, it was a real shock. They took their share right then and there. I wish their fees were a little lower but they are what they said they would be which I agreed for them to take.

I wish the settlement would happen quicker to stop accrual of interest or late fee charges. It would seem counterproductive to allow these charges to accrue. Settlement has to overcome these charges and final amount due could be less. Thank you for your consideration.

Freedom Debt Relief was very helpful at the beginning and they were very helpful when they were sending the emails out as far as when they're doing negotiations. One thing they need to explain is the consequences you will have with the IRS. This completely got me by surprise and I got hit very hard for the income tax. It might not be necessary to explain that because it may not help their business but it has to be at least mentioned. That way, they give the customer a better decision making type of tool than anything else. I will definitely tell whomever I recommend it to to talk to their tax advisor because it's huge. But as far as everything else goes, they have been very good. They have treated me fairly as much as they have possibly been able to.
The attention to detail, what they're going to do when they're gonna get to a settlement, before they can make the settlement, it would be good if they can speak to the client and let them know, “We're making this settlement for this amount of money. Are you okay with that?” I understand what they want to do but let the client then determine the amount of money, if that's gonna be a good amount of money or are they going to be comfortable to put that extra cash on a two-week basis into their bank so it can be paid. That would have been the only other problem I would have with them.

Every month when I was making payments, they were just minimums. I put it all together and it was gonna take me close to 24 years to be completely debt-free the way I was going. I did a lot of shopping around before I talked to a bunch of different debt consolidation companies and Freedom stood out more than any other ones. It was very simple and they're very nice people to deal with. When I contacted them, they told me in 48 months that I'd be zero debt. They've already solved eight or nine accounts, and I've got six more to go. I'm a little over two years into the program and I've got two more to go. I'm very happy with the progress being made.

Everything is going GREAT.. except I am not a big fan of automatic deductions. It often put my bank account in risk of getting in negative balance. I understand why it is necessary, but still should have given customer the option to authorize. Also, should have given an option to change the deposit cost instead agreement. I want to reduce deposit from $200 to $150 due to budget but wasn't given an option to unless I requested them to. But again, everything else is GREAT. I'd just give 4 1/2 stars.

They let me divide the monthly cost into two payments and there have been a couple of changes on it. I could either have stretched it out longer or raise the payment, and I chose to raise the payment. They are very good. They don’t bug me a lot. Freedom Debt Relief got rid of a lot of calls and over half of the debts have been settled or are being settled at this time. I would recommend them to anyone that gets into the same situation. They do everything they can and you don't even have to go down. Mine was all done on the computer. They made it very easy.

I saw Freedom Debt Relief on Facebook. I looked them up and they sounded real. I went to my bank, showed it to the banker and asked him if they can kinda check on it. They did and said they were listed with the Better Business Bureau, and it looked good to them. Signing up was a real simple. You talk to them on the phone and give them your list of debtors and information on credit cards or whatever you owe. They take it from there then they make their decisions. Whatever they come up with, they call you then discuss it with you. You either do or don't go along with it. They give me monthly reports. I've only been with them for a little over a year now but as far as I can see, what they're doing is fine with me. I'm highly satisfied with them.

Lebbs answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and assured me of everything. Pretty much everything that he said happened exactly how he said it would, so it made me feel comfortable. I got on a program quickly. I enrolled last June and I’m already done, so it’s perfect and very ideal. It's better to go slow and skeptical because you've grown up in life and you constantly get told, “Pay your bills. Pay your bills on time.” And you now have a complete stranger say, “Hey, don't pay your bills. We're going to do this for you. It's going to work out.” And it did. I feel better about it all now.

Updated on 08/16/2022: When I signed up with FDR, my biggest fear was getting sued by creditors. In just over 2 years since signing up, I'm down to only one of 5 creditors left to be settled and it's been such a relief. I haven't had to deal with attorneys or threats from any of the creditors to date. And it's so easy having my payments submitted from my checking account to FDR every pay period. This has been a huge stepping stone to work towards repairing my credit after years of different life-changing experiences that I did not see coming. Original Review: I'm still in the program. They said it would be for four years and I've done two and a half. Freedom Debt Relief has been great from the beginning and even now. It's easier to manage because I already know what the payment is. I have no problem paying what I owe. I would definitely recommend Freedom to anybody. Target went as far as suing in court, and they dealt with all that. I didn't have to go there, so that's a big burden off your shoulders when you're dealing with everything already on your plate.

They're really good people and getting signed up was very easy. I turned in all my accounts, they looked at everything and got back with me. I called them twice to ask them about things and I haven't had any trouble with them. Sometimes their charge is a little high, but that's normal. The guy told me 25%. My debts are not all the way settled and that was another problem that I didn't understand. They take these accounts and pay them so much every month for 24 months. The other day, I got the thing to settle for $600 but they wanted to break the notes out into 48 months. I called them up laughing and told them that I might be stuck in this for 4 years. But the guy told me that if I pay it off early, then they'll cancel the four years.

I enrolled my debt consolidation around Jan 2020 and it’s now Oct 2020 .. I still get daily calls from creditors telling me they have not been contacted by Freedom Debt Relief. My credit has been suffering since I enrolled and the amount of settlement fees I pay seem to be as high as how much I would have paid for interest for my credit cards. I’m still unsure if I’ve made the right decision with enrolling into debt consolidation. My debt has suffered and the company does not pay your debt off all at once. They withdraw money and deposit it into a trust and will use that money to pay off your debt. I had the impression that they would pay off my debt and I would pay them back, however that’s not the case.
They wait for your accounts to go delinquent to negotiate but it’s been after 9 months and not all my accounts are negotiated yet. They withdraw money each month and use that money to pay your debt. I would have been better off saving in my piggy bank .. accumulated interest but still have good credit. If I didn’t enroll, I would have been way better off credit wise. I might have saved money on interest but they charge you monthly fees and settlement fees, so when I weigh it all out .. it’s not worth it for me. Especially through this COVID and all the great loan options that I could have had. I was not able to get any pandemic loans due to the fact that I had delinquent accounts and bad credit from enrolling into Freedom consolidation.

They said that they can help me out on getting debt-free so I signed up with them. They helped me when I needed help. Any time I had a question, they would talk to me. They contact me when they come to something to settle, and then they ask me if this is okay, and I say yea or nay, and they go on. I started out $125 a month, and that's what I'm continuously doing every two weeks.

Freedom Debt Relief walked me all the way through the process, explained everything to me, and told me what information I needed to get together for them. It was a very easy and very professional process. It wasn't like they didn't know what they were doing. They told me how long the program would be and I've progressed. I would be halfway in a couple of months. They've worked with me on times that checks didn't come in on time. I had to move dates for payments and they're very helpful in that. They were very cordial too. They send me emails telling me to look at my dashboard and see how I'm progressing. I've been very pleased.

Everything I've called Freedom Debt Relief and asked them for, they’ve done it for me. It's just that they've been taking $507 out of my checking account every month. This January will be two years. Since I got involved with them, I'm walking around broke. I called up my guy that I speak to in Freedom Debt Relief and told them I may have to lower the payments because I don't even have any money I can live on if they take that money out of my check. I'm only living on a certain amount of money.

I had an overwhelming amount of credit cards and I couldn't keep up with all the payments. It got out of hand and I decided it was time for some consolidation. I signed up with Freedom Debt Relief and the reps I dealt with were great. The only thing I didn't like was in the beginning, it was very repetitive. It was about half an hour talking to someone then the next day, I had to do the same thing with the admit package and it seemed to be a waste of time.
Other than that, I look at the dashboard quite often and it gives me all the information I need. I like to look at the balance and see what's been paid off. It's a great tool. I'm satisfied with Freedom Debt Relief right now. Ever since the COVID, money is really tight for me. So I'm not paying it as much as I'd like or as even as quick as I'd like. But hopefully, my roommate will get a job soon and I'll be able to increase the payments. I've also referred someone to Freedom and I had gotten the referral bonus already.

One of the reasons why I gave this rating is because of the fact Freedom Debt Relief doesn't include small loans. That includes PayDay loans, and high interest loans. Freedom provided me with excellent customer service and support throughout the process of settling my debts. I felt confident in entrusting them with my accounts. There was no guessing and everything was done in a transparent way. The only drawback is that the fees add up as well, so the actual reduction in debt does not provide as much in savings as I would have liked.

Talked to two customer service Wednesday and Thursday, Gentleman on Wednesday very helpful. Gave me amount to settle my debt. Subtracted total debt from deposit account funds which left amount I would have to pay. He also told me how they would pay accounts and the outstanding debt would have to be negotiated. Person on Thursday not helpful, really agitated me. All I want to do is pay balance of accounts. I have requested a letter for payoff. Haven’t received it. Freedom Debt Relief has been very good over the years and paid my Debts, I wanted to pay my Debts before I Die and thanks to your Company it almost has been done. It is now time for me to pay off the remaining balance if I could just get someone to help me.

Freedom Debt Relief: Reading the 1 star reviews, I concur with it all. They have a rating of zero. I have not benefited at all from this service. My credit report reflects I’m in negative standing with with the accounts they were supposed to be working on. On my report it indicates charged off so if it’s charged off, what are they doing with the money. I have not received any verification from the debtors that it is resolved nor can they produce any proof of contact with either of these companies the written communication of the negotiations. Not only am I on a fixed income and this money coming out of my account but I am caring for my husband with cancer..
I asked them to provide tangible proof of their correspondence/communication to My debtors. They sent a very confusing ledger full of all kinds of fees that I did not know I was being charged for. Ever since March 2018 I have been paying, initially $244 but now it went up to $254. I have paid over $7000 or 8000 and there is nothing to show for it. Cheating consumers. They have not been truthful and have caused me stress because I have been expecting to see something different or resolved on my account. I was due graduate in 2022 which meant paying even more money for unsatisfactory business. I am really disappointed especially in this economy when it is hard trying to survive COVID.. I have lost money that I could've actually been paying on my debt.

Freedom Debt Relief is a great company. When I went searching for it on Google for a consolidation company, they were the first one that came up. Then, I read the reviews and I decided to try them. So far, they have done right. I pay off my bills, but I still have to a long way to go to finish paying my debt off. I worked with Erica, Desiree and Trevor, and everything was on the positive side. They explained everything to me what was expected of them and what their intent was. It was not like they were pushing me to put more deposit. It was always a suggestion, but they were okay with it. So, I, on my own, would voluntarily send them extra payments, but I let them know. They were thankful for that and it’s speeding up the process of getting these payments out of the way.
They're on top of everything and when it came to a settlement with one of the creditors, I was contacted via Gmail and via text message. I responded back right away, didn't waste any time, and they were very thankful that I got it done right away. They also introduced me to the loan part of the sister company and that would be much better because I'll have paid off everybody, which is a great relief. I've got these letters which I'm sending to them and they're filing it. In the end, it wasn't about them. It was about me. But I spoke highly of them on Google and on Facebook, so they were very thankful.

I was so scared I get sued by one of my debtors but FDR is constantly working with them to prevent that from happening. It’s definitely eased my nerves. They also keep me updated on what’s happening. I have a problem with credit cards and this isn’t my first time using a debt relief company. The last company did nothing until I had enough money in my account and I ultimately got sued. I had about $73,000 in credit card debt. I read reviews and they said that Freedom Debt Relief was very good. The only thing that they dropped the ball on was Bank of America. I called them and told them that I was being garnished. I had also told them that I never received a summons. But that's water under the bridge now. That’s all paid, so I'm good. They've been very good to me.

Freedom Debt Relief helped reduce some of my debt as well as paid it off in a timely manner. They did a really good job. The level of professionalism enhanced my confidence and being able to go with a company that I thought was gonna be reputable, whereas I wasn't 100% sure about the reputable company, especially when it comes to giving them my money.
Their level of professionalism was great. Helped me understand and set expectations that were reasonable. I knew what was coming my way and how things were gonna play out. They let me know what the payment was going to be in order to pay it off in a timely manner. We came to a decision that it was within a reasonable timeframe and a reasonable payment. It worked out just fine for me. As far as ease of service, it's been good. A smartphone app with a client dashboard would have been appreciated, something a little bit more front-facing and consumer-friendly than just the online portal that they have available. But other than that, it was relatively good. I really appreciate that I've gotten out of debt.

FDR does make it very efficient and easy to work with them. However, creditors all "PANIC" if you miss a payment and "HARASS" you regardless how many times you send them letters, talk to their CSR etc. The electronic computer collection calling to a voice mail should be illegal. Some contact you wanting to give you a special deal if you violate the agreement with FDR. As a client I am very happy with all the support I get from FDR and I am sticking to my guns to make payments to them as arranged!

I was a little over my head from financial hardship and checked on some excessive debt that was continuing to grow. Freedom Debt Relief had the most positive reviews and their website was very user-friendly. Their reps are really working to resolve and do what's right now that we're in a pandemic. They've been also been very helpful with doing what makes sense to stay on track, but also remain stable in my life, too. They're really easy to work with and very understanding especially with everything going on in the world right now. We really discussed what my payments were and they were flexible. If things need to change, they're open to it but at the same time, they are encouraging me to stay on track to finish off what I need to finish up. It has all been very clear and straightforward. I do not recommend Freedom Debt Relief. Freedom Debt Relief offered to negotiate my debt with each creditor for a low interest. In the process, I would have to stop paying my creditors which fell into no payment status that damaged my credit. It made me believe this was a better option fit for me. Later to find, that I could've just stopped paying all my creditors and targeted one creditor at a time to pay because once a debt falls into a no payment status they will offer you a settlement. Therefore, I could've handled myself without payment freedom debt relief an interest for something I could have done myself.

As a potential customer of Freedom Debt Relief, you should know you can contact your credit card company direct and offer a settlement. This is normally 60% of the current balance and you can offer payment amounts which of course you must adhere to. Perhaps they won't want to discuss a settlement option until you stop making payments for a period of time but the debt will be resolved quicker and much cheaper than hiring FDR to do the same thing. There are many fees of all types you will be charged that are not disclosed in advance. I hired FDR to settle four credit card accounts, they resolved one within a few months. After two years and a learning experience, I settled the other three on my own. John in TX

When I first went with Freedom Debt Relief, I was with my ex-wife and she had run up all of her credit cards. I had taken out a loan to pay her credit cards off. Then, she did it again. So to keep her from being sued, I had applied for something. The next thing I knew, Freedom Debt Relief had called. Then when she and I divorced, I had to start all over with just my debt.
Signing up was fairly easy. I had to have a down payment, of course, but Freedom figured up all my debt and how much it was gonna be a month. Somehow, they missed some of my debt and I had been continuing to add stuff to it. Then I had to go through that as far as getting it all set up to make the monthly payments. But they're very easy to get ahold and talk to someone and they're pretty good at getting stuff straight fairly quickly. I signed up with Freedom so that my debts would be taken care of and I wouldn't be sued over them. But right now, their lawyers are in litigation for one of my debts. That debt has been in the program all this time and they've never made a settlement on it. I wish they've handled that a little bit differently.

I was let go of my work and I had a lot of credit. I was never late but I was barely making it. I tried calling to get a loan to consolidate everything and it wasn't working. I was stressed out and on the radio, I heard an announcement about Freedom. Then I had seen it on Facebook so I thought of giving them a try. I called this lady named Jillian and left her a message on Freedom to call me back. She was very helpful, pleasant and sweet. She was amazing. She looked over my stuff and said I was qualified. She got me signed up. She told me that now that I am signed up through Freedom, Century would be handling everything else like the calls or any letters that I was getting from the debt collectors. They're the ones who are paying off my stuff.
My aunt, even though she's 80, was working all the way up until 2016. They let her go ‘cause of her age and hearing. She had lots of outstanding credit but wasn't late or faulty on any of it. I told her what I'm doing. I gave her the paperwork that Freedom Dent Relief sent me so she went ahead and called Jillian, and Jillian signed her up. They're amazing. They always have time. I'm so happy with them. I'm almost done paying off all my credit. It was a blessing that I was able to sign up with Freedom. They were able to take care of me and my aunt.

I couldn't afford to pay my bills and I didn't want them to get behind. When I called Freedom Debt Relief, I told the reps my concern and they explained how their system works to me. No matter what I did, they could only do so many bills at a time. I said I could do that but then I didn't want all the calls. Also, they would have to get my approval to make a settlement. When they told me that, I said "okay" and went with them for my credit card debts. I wouldn't think twice about recommending FDR. I liked the way Freedom Debt Relief put everything together and how my debt was gonna be paid off. However, they could be a little more clear on the process of where you're at paying it off. I called a couple times and they gave me the total amount that was settled for instead of what I've paid on it and what I owe to date. There was also a time that I had a little dispute but it was just miscommunication on both of our parts. I called back and talked to someone and they explained the situation. Other than that, everything seemed to be good. They've also been very good when I call with a question. I'm very satisfied with them and I would highly recommend them.

American Express sent me a settlement from Zucker & Associates, and Freedom's customer service person said it can be paid starting in five months. Zucker said great; have Freedom call us to set it up. Freedom refused that one phone call and insisted I pay more than $4,000 to set up that account. I couldn't do that. I had to agree with Zucker separately, so now I have an extra $550 a month I have to pay, which is a strain. I am very disappointed in Freedom. The person I talked to this last time did a good job of deleting the American Express account, but couldn't do anything else.

Although it seems that it is taking along time, they have made settlement offers on two of three accounts that I turned over to be settled. They contact me monthly to let me know they are still working on my account. It is worrisome waiting when I am still being contacted by my creditors, but results are what counts.

My credit card debt was not in a bankruptcy situation but I felt it was starting to get a little bit out of control. I saw an ad on Facebook one day. I still was a little bit skeptical about Freedom Debt Relief but I researched further and spoke to somebody over there. I felt I could trust them so that's what led me to going over there. They didn’t accept me right away. They had to go through all the numbers and made sure I was a candidate for it. If my debt was too high, then they would have recommended another source of action like bankruptcy which I was hoping would not be the case.
Freedom Debt Relief offered something that I felt I can work with. They've explained everything. It seems like they've gone over all disclosures and answered any questions. They haven’t been trying to oversell me like a used car salesman would. What they were looking to sell me fit with what I was trying to accomplish, maybe paying a lower interest rate on debt and lowering the debt on some of my credit cards. If I owe 2,000, they could get it down to 1,000. That appealed to me the most.
I listed all my debt and threw some numbers around and what would be good to do. They seemed to think that the number that I told them that I would have in debit out of my account would work within a reasonable amount of time to get rid of the debt. It was a more or less an agreeable number that we came up with. They always gave me the flexibility to increase the amount or make ad hoc payments if I wanted to add a little bit more to it.
There’s been one that’s already been settled on one of my cards and there's another one that’s about to be. Freedom Debt Relief taken away a lot of stress on making those payments. Since they do it on automatic debit, it’s something that I know I won't forget. I'll know that’s being taken care of. Also, they don't just go settle a debt with a particular creditor without my consent. I get text alerts or email alerts and I’m pretty much happy with the way they’ve been keeping me updated on everything. That’s very important. Their website’s pretty easy to navigate too. You set up an account there and track your debt.

I enrolled with FDR 4 years ago after losing my job and going in cc debt. I was told they would handle everything stress free. Not the case, my 4 year projection is now over 6. I have been sued twice and had to pay court fees both times, as well as filling out POAs and lengthy paperwork. There was no mention of the possibility of being sued. They only negotiate $800 off of $21k then charged 25% of the balance. The client dashboard shows estimated graduation at 4 years then changes at your 4th year. This company is out to charge high fees with poor negotiations and will mislead you until the end.

Because of the charge offs reported by settlements and payoffs, we were unable to qualify for the reverse mortgage we were applying for. Longbridge Financial suggested we apply again after we complete paying off all creditors. FDR provided the information that I requested in a timely and professional manner.
