I went looking for a debt consolidation company online, and I saw Freedom. I got in touch with them, got on the program and I'm still in it. Some of the reps are extremely nice. On the other hand, a few of them are rude and don't feel like working. They just wanna get rid of you. Everybody's different. I was talking to one of them about a certain issue, and he got upset. He acted like we were trying to rip him off. He was a very eccentric person. I don’t know how such a person like that got to deal with the public.

People get into situations and have bill collectors. All they want is the company that you're dealing with that it is owed to. But they don't realize the situation people get in that might interrupt or cause some type of distress and pain. That's where Freedom Debt comes in. They'll tell you in the beginning that if you get somebody that wants their money, don't try to reason with them or bargain with them. They said they could just contact them. That's what happens every time. I went on there. I just prayed about it and the Lord led me.
The debt consultant constantly tells me to go on, sends me updates, and tells me what papers they need and signatures. A hardship came about when I joined. I had to make some changes and there wasn't a problem with that. He just informed me that I would be in the program longer because the contract was a certain amount of money, and then it got changed. He was very informative about that. Since working with Freedom, my credit standing is getting done and paid down. It's definitely less stress. I went on and calculated it about two weeks ago. I'm in for the next six months and I'll be done.

Arthur was overwhelmed with debt. I called Freedom Debt Relief because we don’t have the money to pay what he used to pay. We’re paying a smaller amount. So, I have to call every month. When we're done, they always say, “Do you have any questions?” They’re very polite. Freedom Debt Relief will take a lot of the pressure off of you. They work with who you owe, and you don't have to deal with that. It's worth what they charge you.

Updated on 06/10/2021: I’ve been in the FDR program since last November. They have negotiated 4 accounts already. Very pleased with the progress since enrolling in the program. They are worth giving a shot to. You won’t regret it. I don't. My stress is gone.

After getting sued by one of my creditors. I feel the lack of services. I felt I went around and around in circles. Every time I called I got the run around. No one called me back when they said they would. It’s a horrible experience. Not happy with this company at all.

In as little as 4 months I'm already in a settlement with one of my credit cards. It feels great to start making steps forward. I absolutely was stuck, making $1300+ a month in payments and not budging anywhere with my debt. My brother recommended this program as it helped him. UPDATED 4/22/2021: Anytime I’ve called the reps are super nice and explain everything step by step in terms I can understand! I’ve lowered my debt and have received awesome settlements thus far! My credit is slowly improving as I complete each of the settlements. Highly recommend!

Freedom handles everything on my payments every month. I've been paying $604 a month. And I'm planning to increase so I can get out of debt quicker. There are three accounts already in progress and I got two more that they are gonna negotiate. They're very professional. They explained to me in detail how things work and how things are going, and they give me details when I'm gonna be out of debt, that I'm gonna be out of debt. And they keep me posted.

When I first called FDR, the people were extremely personable. They spoke to me like they cared. It wasn't like they looked down on me or felt bad about everything I was going through. They were sincere and made me feel at ease. They explained to me the whole procedure and what it is I had to do on my end. I was able to call them when at the beginning, I was so stressed out with the people that I was in debt with constantly calling me. They explained to me that I could refer them over to them. That helped me a great deal because they took all the stress away from me.
They worked with me to make sure that it wasn't going to be anything that I couldn't handle as far as the monthly payments that I was making. We spoke about all payments that I had, who all my debtors were and what the amounts were. I sent them the information on everyone that I owe money to. We went through each and every one of them and they told me how long it was going to take. If I didn't know I had any others that have crept up, I get a callback and they let me know. Through the dashboard, they let me know also what they're working with. Everything that I would see via email and the communication back and forth were great. I appreciate them very much. I'm receiving incredible experience with them and I am grateful that they are there.

Debt that is 30 years old and already remedied keeps showing up even after declining to add it. Accounts that are not mine keep showing up asking me to add it. Decline then and again they pop up. It’s a little concerning that my declines are not being listened to.

I was contacted shortly after I looked online. The process moved smoothly until technical difficulties arose, reps phone kept dropping the call. But we ensued and got through. Very polite and helpful. Customer Service rep when called response and interaction was very good. Thus far I have only been into dashboard once but found it easy to navigate and I am not too user-friendly.

I found out about Freedom through a friend. I was kinda skeptical about trying it out. But at that point in time and with the debts I had accumulated, I tried them. Freedom is a company that works with you on all levels. Everything that they have consolidated and brought together and the things they have done thus far have been extremely awesome. The communication is outstanding too. Plus, they have that client dashboard where you can keep a check of everything.
I'm very satisfied with the services. I couldn't understand at one point in time but I do now. Where I’m at right now, I add $200 a pay period. There was a confusion on my part and I got clarification about that. They said they couldn't bring the payment down because they based it on the last person that I owed. They were gonna try to eliminate that debt as soon as they could.

I guess no one looks at a credit union report. Just take my money. The accounts you're paying on are all closed by the card company and written off. American Express Charged off. Written off $8,834 November 2020. American Express Charged off. Written off $3350 November 2020. Citi Bank Charged off. Written off $6,504 December 2020. Citi Bank in Collection of $5,205. Capital One Card $13,826. Charged off $13,822. Written off December 2020. I You are paying Capital one off now. Discover card is ** open and nothing is going on.

I asked Freedom some questions, looked them up, and compared them to the other services and the different companies. They seemed to be pretty efficient. After I spoke with them, they seemed to be able to help me out. The communication is really great. They send me communications continuously. I also have a customer dashboard that I can look upon. Everything's right there for me to look up as needed. With the last account that Freedom needed to negotiate with, I hadn't heard from them. Freedom explained that was because they were negotiating and they were waiting for the company's response. They had communicated but I just didn't check the dashboard.
For any extra payments I want to make, it's really easy and so is speaking with customer service. With the person that I spoke with initially, I can call and ask for her if needed. I'm on a good plan and that has helped me knock out three accounts already. We had two major debts and Freedom helped me out considerably. Freedom has also helped me out to where I haven't had to go to court and if I did go to court, the legal assistance was there as well. Now, I'm hoping to be debt-free by the next a year and a half. But if possible, before then if I'm able to get more funds.

I'm trying to get things paid off and get a better credit score to buy a house. My sister went through Freedom and had really good success with them. I went with Freedom as well and everything is going good so far. Everybody that I worked with was super helpful. For any extra questions I have, they're always willing to answer. I also like everything about their dashboard except for the fact it's kind of confusing whenever you look at what's been settled. You have your original amount and you have what the settlement amount is. But you have settlement fees and it doesn't spell out exactly, “Is this grouped in or is this not grouped in?”

I was asked if I wanted to resolve a debt you found. Was told it would increase my payment from 166.00 to 189.00. Then I received an email saying my deposits would be like 984.00. I called to say if adding the new debt was going to cost me 984.00 twice a month I did not want to add it. Then somehow I received an emails saying my account was cancelled. I money I had built up was returned to me. Now it looks like you are having to start all over on my accounts when I only had one left. Poor communication and customer service could not resolve the cancellation of the existing. So you all started over.

I was to the point where I happened to almost overdraw my account every month just to pay my bills. And I couldn't afford it any longer. I couldn't do that on my pay. So, I went searching for different credit consolidation type things, and I came across Freedom Debt Relief's. I read all their reviews and that is who I chose. I've been with them a little over a year and it has been wonderful.
When I finally made a decision of, “Let’s do this,” the rep was fast and friendly. You have paperwork and stuff you gotta sign that we emailed back and forth. Once that was all done, the process took 20 minutes, and then I was set to go, and it was done. However, my payment plan was a little more than what I wanted. I thought my payment would be about 400 but it got to about 428. But that was still something I could afford easily and still live. I had a problem with one of my creditors who kept calling me at the house because they didn't wanna work with Freedom. I called and talked with the rep and he got it all straightened. I haven't received letters, phone calls, or anything from them again.
Freedom Debt Relief has made a big difference. I watch how I spend and take care of my money. I have money to spend on groceries and other things that I've needed in my life. Other than trying to go, “Oh my gosh, payday’s here. I have to pay, pay, pay.” And I would have, “Okay, I’m gonna be overdrawn this amount of money,” until payday again, and not be able to do anything or go out or spend extra movie money. I have recommended my friends to Freedom Debt Relief.

This was one of the smoothest actions I have done for getting a handle on my debt. We were drowning in over $80k in debt and just couldn't get ahead regardless of what we tried. I would definitely recommend using FDR....but would only use this program with the extra fee for a lawyer, because you WILL be sued! Definitely pay the few extra dollars a month for legal counsel to protect yourself! My debt is decreasing quickly.

My sister-in-law went into Freedom Debt Relief first. My wife said to try it as it might be good. It was always typical of a salesman to sell the world and that was what they promised me. The only problem I have with them is they're not being upfront about things. They're only saving me 40% of the debt on average. It's like $400 for every $1,000 debt. But the catch is the 20% charge. So for $400, they're actually putting in $80 more. They're technically giving me $300 for every $1000. It wasn't worth all the hassle facing possible litigation. The money saved is not really equivalent to always peace of mind.
Eventually, there were instances where they said I needed to increase my deposit. It'd only cost me $480 per month to settle all the debt. However, I'm at $650, $700 paying them every month because they needed extra. There were settlements but I could have talked to the creditor if they could settle for this much then I would have avoided the extra fees, litigation, and all the headaches. The bottom line is they did the job. But I wasn't satisfied with the path they took. At the end of the process, I'd see if it really was worth it and if I could rebuild my credit.

I called FDR because we had $100 left after paying off all our credit card. The first person I spoke to was a man named Kenneth and he was really, really good. We've been enrolled with them for almost two years now. It sounded great. I was gonna get my debt reduced within two years, which is turning into more like four years. But they took a load off my mind. They said they could reduce the debt because they get rid of all the recurring interest fees. Also, there was no penalties. The rep told me that I could give my creditors their telephone number instead of them calling me and harassing me, which was kind of difficult because every time I tried to do it with the individual credit card companies, it would just bounce back. So I just stopped picking up phone calls. They led me to believe like this was gonna really help me out, which it is.
The payment plan was tough at first because we were trying to get onto the schedule. The amount is less than what we were paying the credit cards each month. I'm paying two payments of $442 a month and my husband is making two payments of 396 a month. They were good in working with us in that respect. We've maintained that throughout the time that we've been enrolled with them. But they could be a little more forthright about how destroyed my credit would be because once we did that, you're allowed to hold on to a card or two if you want it. So my husband had an American Express card and there were times our monthly bill was $6,000, and we paid it. But once we got enrolled with FDR, they put a limit on his credit card. So that wasn't fully explained on how bad it would get.
I still have things that are in the negotiation stage. They're targeted negotiations. So it took a while for mine. I had more debt than my husband did. He seems to be on a better path. But it's a tremendous weight off my shoulders. I don't have 101 bills to pay each month. There's just one payment that's taken. As long as we keep depositing the money, it's kind of working on its own.

I am comfortable with having Freedom Debt Relief deal with my issues. I did have some problems along the way that weren't resolved, and then at the same time they resolved, so it's kind of a good thing and a bad thing. Freedom Debt could work more with the customer because there are times when my payroll was not gonna be available until like a few days before or after my pay date. Then they weren't able to help me. They just said, "Come up with the money or you're gonna be late on your payments," which I had to do.

FDR is a great way to get some relief from your high bills. It's been so easy! I set up one monthly payment & that's all I had to do (except approve the settlements!). Really a great company! I was late putting money in the account and the September payment was never made. I called several times to make sure someone made the September payment. The October and November payments were made on time. The September still wasn't made. Amex called me 90 days late and my credit rating dropped 40 points. I am not happy with this setup. It cost me more money to get this resolved.

I was looking online for how to actually file bankruptcy. Freedom Debt Relief came up first and it said, “Before you file bankruptcy, try Freedom Debt Relief.” So, I clicked on it. And then, I either sent an email or I called. Somebody called me back, explained everything to me. Before I said yes, I called my mom. And then we went along with Freedom Debt Relief. The first person was awesome. He answered all the questions that I needed to know. He also checked up on myself and made sure I knew what I was putting my money into. It was like dealing with a family member more than anything, like somebody that was really concerned and caring.
Freedom negotiates with a credit card that I may have had high debt with, and they come to terms with what is the best solution for it, and they get the lowest price. And then, I pay bi-weekly, and they take care of that for me. At first, it wasn't me paying into it. It was my husband. So, it was easy setting up the payments to come out of his account. Also, when I was able to do it myself, it was easy to switch the account to do automatic payments, which is good for me so I wouldn't forget.
The service is pretty good. They're very attentive. They answer any questions that you need. If they can't get back to you right away, right then and there with the answer, it doesn't take more than a day to get back to you. I have less stress about how things are gonna get done. They took a big relief off of me. I've told other people about Freedom.

This is my second time using the program because I had a problem. I was looking for debt relief at least 10 years ago, I used Freedom Debt Relief and it worked out well so I decided to do it again. The first time I was nervous. I had a million and one questions. I'm like, "Oh, what am I doing?" But then, "What do I have to lose at this point?" So it's almost, "Okay, do I do this?" I know a family member had said they did a debt program, and it hurt them more than it helped them. But I was, "Well, I want to do that program." Because wherever they went, they weren't making payments to the creditors. They weren't making settlements the way they should.
I just did my research. And then I asked a representative a lot of questions about their program, what made them different, why should I trust them. He had no problem answering any of my questions, very open. And the website has truly upgraded from when I first started years ago. You can check your dashboard at any time you want so you can see the progress. It shows you what's in progress, what has already been settled, about how far you have to go. You can see everything, what’s in negotiation, what's going to come up in the future.
I stopped paying the cards. They deal with the creditors, make settlements. And then they base it off what you can afford each month. They give you an estimate and tell you, "Okay, we need you to spend this much a month in your account." If you're consistent with having your money in there, so the money is available, so when they make these settlements, you make them knowing the money is there to make the payment.I set mine up as I get paid biweekly, so it's for auto debit biweekly. If you add up all of your minimum payments that you pay on these cards, your overall payment in this program is less than what you pay on these minimum payments. So in a sense, you're saving money, because you stop paying your cards, you're not making all these small minimum payments putting zero debts -- unless you pay over minimum, you are not putting a dent in your credit card debt.
Their actual fees are on the back end. They don't take anything from you until they made their settlements. So, the money you put in there every biweekly, monthly, however you want to make your payment goes towards your debt. At the end of the program, you're still doing your payments, but at this point, they have let's say $100 going towards your credit cards, your payment is 110, $10 is going to them. They factor in such a small amount for their fee that you really don't see them.
If you wanted a program for four years, they take your debt, and they average it out, "Okay, we can probably settle it for 40%, 50%," less than what you pay, and they based their calculation from that. And if you want to do it four years, over two years, depends on how long you want your debt enroll the program is how they calculate your payment based off of how long you want the debt. You can be more aggressive and do a two-year program and it seems to be higher.
This is my second time in the four-year program and it works for me because my payments are less than minimum payments. I'm saving money. And then when I have extra money, I go ahead and put it in there so they can make faster settlements. I've done that with two credit cards so far. They were able to settle them faster by increasing the payment amount to get them knocked out. I feel they do care about their clients. It's not a get rich quick thing like, "Oh, I'm just going to take my money from this client." No, it's like, "We're really going to try to get you that settlement."
They do actively and aggressively attack your credit card payments. My experience has been good. They will let you know. Several ways, "Okay, we've got a settlement," they will text you, email you, or call you. And even when you complete the program, you get your full packet. You will get your graduation letter. They have removed charge-off because they make sure they get letters from the creditors saying, "Settled. This was settled. It’s not a charge-off. This was settled." That changes the terminology on your credit report, which doesn't affect your score like a charge-off. They do what they're supposed to do. As long as you continue your payments, you're good to go.
I've learned this time with my credit card debt, it's something I don't want to do again. But they gave me that opportunity to clear it and build my credit back and use it responsibly. It's a burden relief off of you. So it's, "God, I'm not stressed out about -- yeah, I'm making these minimum payments, but I'm really not doing anything.” I've got a massive student loan debt so it's the fact that I was able to go ahead, let them handle this and clear this up, allowed me to focus on that.
I have a family of five. We got three kids and my husband. It's just like the credit card, it's easy to spiral out of control. I'm glad this opportunity was there to get rid of it and then learn from it, and move on without this huge stress. I'm not wasting my money every month. Also, I don't have to deal with the headache of going back and forth with the creditors. That's a headache because they don't want to settle with you or you do the payment right now. It's like, "I can't pay you $2,000 right now up front." So, working through Freedom, they are able to make these settlements and on payment plans, and close the settlements and be done with it.

Everything has been really great with Freedom Debt Relief. They keep me pretty updated and I can look at my portal online. Anytime I’ve ever had to call them and ask questions or defer payment, they've been really helpful to me. They've also explained everything pretty clearly. I'm almost actually done with my agreement with them. I've looked at my Credit Karma report and I've seen things show that they've been settled.
I wish the process was faster. But it takes time since you have to let your funds build up. Also, Freedom's cut of the portion of the funds that they receive on doing the whole thing on your behalf may be something. Other than that, the program has been really good and helpful. Without doing it, I really don't know where I may have been credit-wise. So, it's way easier for me to have it all consolidated into one payment and I don’t have those calls anymore.

The progress for resolution is taking longer than I expected. I do like and prefer the text message alerts about settlement. Having a difficult time with the harassing calls going on and on. I went with Freedom because when I called them, I liked the way they treated me. I spoke to someone in Spanish, which is my native language, and that made it a lot easier for me. I’m really happy. The thing that could be improved is the person who called to ask me if I wanted to go ahead and get everything consolidated and pay off the debt all at once, and that it was a one-time offer and that they wouldn't let you choose it again if you said no. They don't give you much time to think about it. At first, I said no. And then I thought that would be a really good idea. When I called back, they said, “Nope, it was a one-time offer. You can't have it.” We're doing it one thing at a time where they could have all been paid off at once. They should say, “Well, you have three days to decide on this.” Other than that, it has been nice because they get all of the emails and bills, because they had me forward everything to them. It was done well. I only got a year to go.

They explained that this would be a slow process. The advised from the beginning that the goal is to stay the course and not to miss payments as the progress will payoff in the end. I’m mid-way through, and of course my credit took a big blow, but I see my credit gradually getting better. I have one more account that needs to be negotiated (my largest debt) and once that is negotiated then I will have a foreseeable graduation date. All has been what I expected. A pleasant and realistic experience so far.

Since I started with FDR right up until three months or so ago, everything was really going good. Then this lady called me out of nowhere and she wanted to offer me something where I get my credit back sooner by a loan, which is the same thing the credit card companies did to me. They're trying to help me in one hand, but then trying to get me back into what I was in before. I didn't appreciate that.
Also, there was one time when they told me if I could deposit a certain amount, they would be able to settle an account ASAP and it would save me X amount of dollars. The very next day, I went to the bank and put the money in the account. But nothing ever happened. I called them and the rep I talked to either didn't have an idea of what I was talking about or she just wanted to avoid the whole conversation of something not getting done. But the money was there the whole time. I did my part and it should have been settled. But overall, it's been a very good experience for me. I've been able to get caught up somewhat and they seem to do what they can do for me.

The only thing I worry about is the waiting to begin the paying the debt off when the credit card co. start calling. I will get very upset. I don't handle things like very well. I have never been late with a payment.

We have been dragging out waiting for settlement, we were told it would take 4 months, one of our debts just settled for more than our enrolled debts so there was really no benefit in using the program. Not seeing the results we were sold on and now it is too late to pull out because we have waited 5-6 months without making payments to our creditors. Big mess, wish we would have went elsewhere.

This is a good company. They do settle your debts and for a partial cost and to be fair they start very quickly. I have been in this program for a few years now and an see some light at the end of my debt tunnel. The only thing I’m not a fan of is that when I review my client dashboard it appears and shows that I am paying more in fees to the company than I am to my creditor. Also when I had my singing and counseling when I started the program the representative said that my credit would dip for about three to six months. I wish there was more disclosure there because it was more like two years. Again this is not to bash the company however a bit more upfront disclosure would have been nice. I am satisfied that they are settling my debts it’s just not the most ideal way in my mind. Good service though and fast when it comes to settling.

They walked me through everything and they've done everything they said they're going to do. Whenever it's time to negotiate with one of my creditors, they let me know ahead of time. They let me know what's going on and we go from there. We've settled different cards.

Too many phone calls. I can get up to 5 calls a day. That's just way way too much. Negotiated settlement could be better. I am 66 years old, unemployed because of Covid 19 and I am in the high risk group for covid. Also, at my age...getting employment is very difficult and even If I were to become employed...the pay rate would be at most minimum wage so these reasons should get me better settlements.

Everyone at Freedom was very helpful. They were quick to respond and always stuck to their word. The one guy that I always seem to talk to was really nice and always helped me out when I needed to. His customer service was excellent and everything was handled the way it should be handled. The only thing I didn't like was how expensive the attorney fees were, but what attorney is not expensive? Other than that, I loved the program.
I like the fact that when I get a summons in the mail, I could just easily snap a picture of the summons, send it to the litigation group, and everything's handled for me. Also, they were very easy going with my payment. I had to change one of my withdrawal deeds so that I could manage my money better and they were very understanding with it. If I ever had an issue, they understood. They helped out my credit and helped me get my debt paid off quicker than I would on my own. It opened up my eyes to how important credit is. There have been plenty of times where I've had people come to me and ask what we've done to reduce our debt and I've referred Freedom. I tell them it's a great program and that Freedom takes care of everything.

One of my friends told me about Freedom and I've been in the program for more than a year now. Everything is good and I like the way they do the job. I told them two or three months ago that I was trying to pay it off. I have three or four years to pay it off if I paid the minimum that I was supposed to pay but my husband was gonna help me pay it off. They calculated it and told me the total. The other person told me it was 600 and something I have left. They took for December. Now I have 400 and change left then it's gonna be done.

I called concerning the settlement date of my Amex card because it was supposed to be settled on Nov 5th and Crossroads took out another payment from my bank in December. I was told to call back on Monday, Dec. 21 and they would refund my money. I was happy with your representative's help.

I was reluctant at first because no settlement were happening. After the first settlement it was awesome. Freedom Debt works hard to help their clients. Always great customer service. I emailed every paper or letter I got from a creditor to Freedom as they asked. I sent them one that was threatening to go to court. I assumed they would work on that, but I got a certified letter that it was in Mason County Court now. I've talked to someone at the litigation place now, and they assured me that they received all the paperwork and were working on it. I was a little upset that even though I sent them an advance letter that this was going to happen, there didn't seem to be any action taken. But up until now, I've been very satisfied.
I don't want to go to court. I have talked with other people I know that have done this with other companies and they never gotten anything like this about going to court. So that had me a little concerned about my choice of picking them. If they can keep me out of going to court, I will be pleased. I hate that it had to go to that. I live in a small town. I know people that work at the courthouse and that's very upsetting. It's embarrassing. It makes me wonder if I chose the right company. I’m very dissatisfied at the moment.

When I signed up, I was told that these debts would be paid off in 3 years. That was not true!! The balances increased while you were "negotiating". There are still accounts that are not even in the process. Your fees are eating up what I keep paying.

Settlement fees are very high compared to the payoffs. Could be out of debt much faster if they were lower. They are high as the interest rate on the credit cards. Other than that I am satisfied with the results.

Everything is okay. I only wish I knew that not all accounts would start being repaid initially. Some won't start for a number of years! And, Debt Consolidation didn't make sense. Freedom Debt Relief was nice and I felt that I could go with them. They gave me all the information I needed, told me how much my deposit would be every month and when my graduation time would be. They added all my bills up and they figured out how long it would take to pay all this off and what the average bill would be a month. They started getting my bills paid off right away and they negotiated them. It's comfortable working with FDR. When I have questions, they answer them very quickly and they're very understanding. If I have to be late on a payment, they understand, especially with what's going on right now. The service is great. They've always been very professional and very accommodating to me.
