I have sent more than $8000 and I only have one settlement begun with 36 more payments. I submitted 4 different creditors and believed that this would be a relief. It is not, it's stressful. This is extremely slow! I had expected to be completely debt free. If I could I would ask for a complete refund and negotiate with my creditors directly. I almost feel like it is a scam. Very disappointed.

They have been nice but the amount of they charge each month is equal to nothing less than highway robbery... They tout themselves of being so wonderful because they are "helping" you - which is true they get the settlements - but one could actually do it themselves and not have to pay out the nose for it...

I'm very happy with Freedom. Customer service has been excellent. They're on top of everything. It is much better than trying to pay companies ourselves because companies just want everything. But I have one account that wasn't on the dashboard and I tried to upload a document. The dashboard said it wouldn't do it. The only thing is I just had to jump through hoops, which is fine. Other than that, it's perfect.

I had an excellent experience with FDR. I've had good support from them. They have been very good in helping me understand whatever is going on and what my payoff is. I started with a monthly payment of 439, then I realized it was gonna take forever and I thought I could pay more because I'm not paying on these credit cards now. I went to 800 and then, just this last week, I went down back down to 500. They said I owe $1,700-something, so I'm going to pay that all off.

Never received the phone call that I was supposed to get before my payments started. Wasn't informed that I needed to be home in front of my computer to speak with them so the first call was rescheduled and second never happened.

This account Target was supposed to be settled months ago. Made sure the money was in the dedicated account. I never received the email about the settlement. I have called many times the advisor and also customer service. I have left messages with the advisor. Never had a called back or a message, It was not my fault that I never received the email on the settlement. I did agree to it over the phone with customer service. I have never had a problem with you all until now. I did everything I was supposed to do. I have not heard anything from you in over 6 weeks.

I had a very pleasant experience with FDR. When I had accumulated so much debt, it was getting hard to manage all the payments and trying to keep up with things, and I was paying out more payments than I was making just about. I had to do something and they helped me manage that. They were really easy to talk to, everything was very easy to understand. I even had two litigations that they helped me through and it took all the pressure off me. I didn't have to get any phone calls or be harassed by any of these credit card companies. They just took care of everything. It was awesome.
I utilize the dashboard all the time and it laid my anxieties. Every month you knew where you were at and I had the direct deposit where they took the money directly from my account and I could just check on the dashboard anytime I wanted to because I needed the visual too. I needed to look at my accounts and see what they have done. I could see everything and just being able to see everything and all of that action, I had not had to even take care of myself, compared to other things, it made me feel under control.
They really do what they say they're going to do. They've also got so much information on their website because there's all the Q and A's, I can go back and look through any of the steps. If there's anything that I don't understand, I can call to talk to a person either. Everyone that I have talked to personally on the phone was very knowledgeable, helpful and empathetic. That was what made me feel good about going with them. They also had everything out there so I could ask questions and get the information and it was a little bit too good to be true. Because when they said to not take the phone calls and what to do to get set up, it was a very short process and they literally took that off me. I didn't have to deal with that anymore myself.

When a parent ages, they may have accumulated a great deal of debt left to be paid from their accounts by children or family members. This is a tedious and exhausting process. Spread payments out too long so you can charge more fees. Your commercials are not true. Not what I thought it would be, I kept getting calls about loans so you could make more money. Would not recommend to anyone.

I was told I would graduate from this program in 4 years. There are payments set out for 4 years from now, so there is no way that is going to happen. There are still unresolved debts that haven’t been negotiated. I have been sued twice. While the lawsuits were taken care of, because I couldn’t provide more than my regular deposit, it was decided I would have to repay the entire debt. Including the 3 years of interest they tacked on and of course their fee. I hope to be able to provide more money this year to get out from under this company.

Just starting the program. It's very hard to judge fairly. The plan & all the information sounds great. But will truly know once my account starts up. They did assist us, but their communication is less than needed and inefficient. You will never get a call from them to resolve issues. They give electronic boxed responses and if you call to resolve something, you will talk to a different person each time, causing you to explain issues over and over. Really frustrating.

Their general, all-over spiel had no pressure. They went and listed my debts, and then began to pay them off with no problem. Every month, I would get a notice from them about where I stood in the program. Anytime I had a question in regards, I would call and they would definitely provide answers to me and explain everything I needed, whether I call the gentleman I first talked to or whether I call the main office number. I have talked with Katrina and she's been excellent. If I had any doubt, any question about why something was going on, I called her. She's walked me through absolutely everything.
I have felt very comfortable no matter who I dealt with. I've been treated like a human being. If I have questions, even if they're ridiculous, they find the answers to what I'm saying and they listen. I'm still with them. I've got three totally paid off. I have one that should be paid off by the middle of this year and I have two more to go. But they've already negotiated one of them, and they're working on that one now. I'll have one outstanding after I get these two paid off. They've negotiated very good deals. It's taken a lot of load off my whole being. I know what's coming out and I know my bills are being paid. I know that I'm not gonna leave a debt. I'm almost 80 years old and I've been with FDR for two years now and I've been very satisfied.

You need to be more honest about your explanations and other things that I experienced!! There were some things that were done that I thought were not honest and you did not consult me on an account that was about 15yrs old.

I thought I was never going to pay off my credit cards, until I enrolled in Freedom Debt Relief. They negotiated approximately a 40% discount on the money I owed and my monthly payment is affordable. I resolved 2 accounts and I just started paying my third credit card. I will be debt free in 2023. I think is a great program! My credit rating is improving. I highly recommend Freedom Debt Relief if you are serious about paying your debt.

Yes I would refer anyone that I know that truly wanted to get their obligations taken care of. They were there to provide legal assistance and I never had to worry. Always prompt in answering my gmail. $40k worth of debt that did not get reduced, took a huge hit to my credit score for seemingly no reason. Nearing the end of the program I tried to make a final payment for the balance owed, the deposit was made to FDR and 60 days later they still have not sent the funds to the Creditor. I have tried phone, email, and chat communication with FDR, every single person I have talked with could not answer why a final payment has not been made. I deposit into the account every two weeks and at the beginning of each month, a check is sent out to the Creditor. 5 business days after the deposit has cleared there is no reason FDR could not issue a final check and pay off the Creditor.
One person I spoke with told me that because it was in a stipulated agreement, I could not pay off any sooner and that I had to continue to make monthly payments, this would mean more monthly charges from FDR as well as further Interest incurred from the Creditor. Nothing within my contract or agreement is that the case. I have asked to speak with a manager several times and still get the same teleprompt script answers as before. I would not recommend this program to anyone. I would suggest talking with your creditor and working out a deal with them first!

Some accounts took longer to resolve. Also my credit rating drop to poor level. Just starting coming back to fair. I need a good rating so can be approved for a Apple Card And a Discover card and a Langley Reward Visa.

I was told a couple of months to resolve the debt negotiations and that line changed over time. I'm 6 months in and have only had one resolution. I was expecting to be done with negotiations 6 months in. Too slow, too long. No real reason to wait so long between negotiations, as far as I can tell.

Freedom Debt came up with a strategy and asked me what I thought I could contribute to try and pay it down and set up the plan for me. All I did was follow their program. Setting it up was pretty simple. Then they started using the funds as they were collected to negotiate. I was just a little frustrated with the last one. It was the largest one. We had gotten offers over the last two years to settle for a really good amount on a single payment. I'd send it in and there was no response. We ended up settling this year for about the same amount. I didn't question it. My wife was like, “Chris, that's just how it works. Just let them do their job.” So, I just kept making payments and shut my mouth and got it paid off.
Freedom Debt seems like a really good and solid program. The main thing there is to keep making the payments that you told them you were going to make and let them do their job. I engaged a couple of times and the big thing they kept saying was, “Whatever you need to do, just do your best to make your payments because if we can't see the consistent growth in your account, it's gonna be really hard for us to negotiate.” It’s kind of how they put it. They were really nice about it. I'm assuming that this is what they do. They deal with people with sad stories all day long. I found that it was a lot better than dealing with a bill collector.

I add ended up paying off the other other creditors because I assumed that a payment to each creditor would be made soon as I had the funds built up. My whole plan was to take out a loan instead to pay the creditors off in full.

Our experience with FDR has been pretty good. We're getting ready to make a lump sum payment and to get out of it completely. The gentleman from FDR that I talked to convinced me that it was a good way to go. There were just a couple of occasions when my wife called in and they couldn't give her the answer. It was like they weren't completely trained on what we were asking about. But their program has been beneficial. It has consolidated my payments and after a while, I got rid of all those calls.

In the beginning, the Freedom Debt Relief reps were good. They offered the consolidation loan, which I ended up paying more a month and more than what I owed if I didn’t do it. Communication was clear, but then I had one account that went into court, and they were gonna garnish my check. So, I contacted Freedom, and they couldn’t do anything about it. They never did anything about it. So, I ended up with that one on my own now plus Freedom. Overall, I think they’re false advertising.

Freedom Debt Relief is good to work with, it has very good customer service. My only complaint is my Credit Rating, which is actually worse! Why doesn't paying up my debt improve it? It seems Experian, TransUnion and the other reporting agency only report bad news. No credit is given for paying your bills on time or paying up debt. It appears trying to improve it is hopeless.

UPDATED 05/10/2022: I am very happy with how the program has worked resolving my debts. I am very happy to just be a month or so from my graduation from the program. The only thing that has kept me from rating excellent is I wish there was little more communication, keeping me more in the loop with what is happening in the process. Otherwise this has been an amazing company who have always answered any question I might have and I have been able to finish the program a year earlier than expected!

I would have been better off trying to settle debts on my own. The final cost was outrageous. The settlement amounts were an average of a 30 to 35% reduction. After the additional late fee charges from creditors it really was not a savings. The fees charged by FDR are high too. Read the fine print. Buyer beware.

FDR helped negotiate my two personal loan down to about 50%. Because of this I am able to start saving my money instead of using it to pay off my debts. I feel less financially burdened now. I enrolled in this program in the hopes of resolving my debt in a timely manner. They told me they would report to credit bureaus but will not. I’m half way through and they’ve managed to finish 2 debts. Very backwards process. Would not recommend to anyone.

100 percent happy with this program and would highly recommend it! I was very nervous at committing to it at first and was afraid it was a scam! Payments are easy and reasonable and the program is easy to understand. Just keep up with your payments and approve your settlements, I have to admit it seemed to be slow progress at first but once you see that first settlement negotiated and then paid off it is so worth it. Very slow!! Ridiculous 1$ per month payment agreements. Not satisfied was told I be debt in 3 years now looking more like 4 years. Creditors sent me better settlements and I would mail them to FDR and got no response only to agree on a more expensive one 8 months later.

The reason we do small payments towards the accounts once we place them into a settlement is so that we have enough money left over from your monthly deposit to start the next negotiation. As you are aware, client's are the ones funding their account so that it could build. It does take a lot of commitment from the client's side and sometimes it just takes longer to settle an account due to not having sufficient funds and/or the account hasn't aged as much as we need it to. Once we are able to get all of your accounts in a structured settlement and accumulate all of needed funds to pay off all of the accounts, we are then able to do a lump sum payment in order to pay off all of the accounts in one payment. This should be close to the estimated graduation date we had in mind for you. Trust in knowing our negotiators will always take the first opportunity to obtain the best settlements possible. We encourage you to speak with our Client Services team to learn what options are available that would allow you to accelerate your Graduation Path. How did it happen that my pay was garnished. I thought this Company took care of my debts. I guess I was mistaken. I’m talking about my Prosper debt. They took out a percentage of my paycheck for seven consecutive pays. That is why my Prosper debt is settled now.

I was skeptical, at first but FDR has saved my life. They have bent over backwards to help me with my bills. When you go from a workable salary to nothing but social security and very low paying part time work, the salary and bills do not match very well. FDR solved the problem. I pray a special blessing everyday for everyone at FDR. They are the best!!!!
