I have been with the company for about a year. They did not negotiate the accounts fast enough. I still have 4 accounts they have not started on. Many debts doubled in that year so the price they negotiated is roughly about what I owed when they I added their fee and the additional year of waiting out the negotiations. Really many other debt restructuring companies do this negotiation much faster to get you on to a debt free life. In hindsight I wish I had shopped around. Do yourself a better deal find a company that can negotiate all your debts in under 6 months. I’m going on a year and still don’t see a full resolve.

I have been so pleased with the success of Freedom Debt. I never thought they would accomplish the amount they have in such a relatively short time. It's such a relief to not have letters and calls all the time. I haven't been able to work in the past year because of the COVID virus and a new heart condition but I'm hoping to find a job I can do.

Everything’s good and I'm sure Freedom Debt Relief has it well-handled on every customer that they have. The representatives are awesome. Everyone’s answered my questions as supposed to, and I'm happy about it. The dashboard gives me all the information I need as well. It's very convenient. I don't have to call a representative. I was very happy with the program of Freedom Debt Relief. Everything was settled and they moved me into a consolidation plus loan. I'm just working on a $3,000 loan. I'm still making my monthly payments, but I'll be done before the year's out. They were great. Everybody was very helpful and understanding. Never felt like I was being judged at all for being in that position.

I have had no conversations at all with any creditors. I have not been answering my phone for quite some time but as far as I’m concerned everything is working. :-) Do you guys are doing and you’re getting to my emails before I do sometimes but I think you’re doing great and I had a few of them that I had and I can’t find those so I hope that’s not too important. Freedom Debt Relief is great with lowering the debt amount owed to a more manageable amount. However, it is frustrating that FDR is so strict on paying the structured amounts and not paying off full totals when the money is available. I have mentioned this multiple times, but am often told that it is necessary to obtain new settlements. It feels like no one listens to my concerns about this, especially as I am attempting to buy a new home for my family. Overall, I enjoy the program, but this is my biggest complaint.

Freedom Debt Relief is working for me. I'm getting some results. The only thing I don't like is that I didn't know the percentage that Freedom Debt Relief charges for each account. That was a shock to me but I'm going with it. It should have been said to me from the beginning, but it wasn’t. I found myself paying quite a bit of money before I started paying the debt. I had to pay Freedom first, and then the debt. They didn't say that. I just want to finish the length of time they gave me. I want to finish.

Taking too long. My payments and interest rates are too much. My credit score dropped way more than I was told it would. 1099s are devastating my taxes. Other than that it's wonderful. I feel like you dropped my credit just to hike the interest rates. I wanted a loan to pay it off to start with, but you said no! After building up my debt by non payments and penalties, then you offer a loan with loan shark rates! I am very trapped and cannot recommend you to others at this time.

I had earlier indicated that I am likely to be a defendant in a lawsuit filed against a past client who has defaulted on a loan - I signed as a guarantor on that loan. This might result in a forced BK on my part - I will be unable to sustain the financial damage purported by this claim. I asked for a deferment on the existing BofA settlement offer so that I can sort out the potential judgment issue. Your professional rep explained that deferment wasn't possible so we decided to reject this settlement.

85 to 90% of the time, my experience with them has been satisfactory. I was told everything up front. They've been very helpful any time I called and had questions and needed to make some arrangement. They were willing to work with me. Yesterday, I was on the phone with them and they got me what I needed. I'm in the process of trying to buy a new house and they told me that they could send me a good standing letter. And they sent it to me. However, one time I had a phone conversation with one representative. She was less than pleasant and less than helpful. I contacted a supervisor and complained about her. That's never happened again.

The process is proceeding as several accounts have been resolved. Initial timeline projections were off as the reconciliation can only proceed as fast as funds accumulate in the account. In retrospect this should have been known and clearly communicated during the initial introduction.

Do not use Freedom Debt Relief's services. When they come to a settlement you will be charged ridiculous fees where the settlement didn’t even benefit. Freedom settled one of my balances at full price and ended up having to pay thousands more because they told me to stop paying and they could negotiate a lower price. This was a creditor that they knew only settles at full price and they advised me not to pay them. Do yourself a favor and do not use this service. The only thing I got out of them was a bad credit score and more expenses on top of debt. Hope I help someone with this review.

It's been a rough couple of years and our debts were more than what we could handle. I called Freedom Debt and talked to a young lady. We had a really long conversation. I asked a lot of questions and she was able to answer all of them. I made the decision to go with them. So far, I feel okay about the program. I take a look at the dashboard all the time. I referred a friend to Freedom and she went with them as well.
There was one debt that we decided not to include in the consolidation. Later on, we had to stop paying them because it didn't work out. Their rep got me on the phone a couple of weeks ago and told me that Freedom Debt got sued. I asked why and he said that Freedom is keeping people in the program too long and was taking more money than they needed to. I told him, "I don't need to hear what you have to say. They've done me right." I added that the debt we had with them was involved in our consolidation and he would have to talk to Freedom. I ended the conversation then I emailed the girl at Freedom and told her what had happened. She said, "Some of those places will try to get your hair in an uproar."

The reps at FDR have all been great when I call. First, I got the lawyer’s papers and I sent that to them. They have done all good on the negotiations except Walmart, which wasn't very cooperative. I got a summons for a credit card and I knew Walmart had put in the lawyer’s hand of it. Then I called FDR yesterday and was thinking about doing a one-time payment and paying everything off. I'd be able to still put the extra money in there although it would be a little hard. But I'm gonna be able to continue doing it.

They met all my expectations regarding their program and commitments for debt settlements. They have been very effective in communicating the program status and debt settlements. The only negative experience I had was with a couple of suits I had. I was represented by NLLG (National Litigation Law Group) which did nothing regarding settlement resolution. I finally settled at 100% to prevent additional court costs from accruing!! I pay a monthly fee for NLLG representation which accomplishing nothing regarding my debt reduction with these suits.

Every time I have to communicate with Freedom, it's a different person, and sometimes, I have to explain all over again what I really want. They were doing good and everything was working fine till we got this communication with American Express. They told me from the beginning that American Express was going to be the worst. I remember I paid a fee at the beginning of the program because of that account. Two years later, they forgot about the agreement and they sent me to a law group. The law group communicated with me and I tried to be more specific that I could be to work with them.
But then, the law group didn't know how to pay when they got to settle with American Express and added some extra charges. I asked why they would do that when they told me from the beginning that on my program, it was going to be covered, and they couldn't explain to me why. They just wanted me to pay those. I told them to please send me an email so I could have the reason why, and to this day, I haven't gotten any email. If they would have told me that I would be charged extra, maybe I would have gone for somebody else. I just went away and told them to take money from my account for the settlement because it was supposed to close at any time. Other than that, everything's working fine with them. They've even settled my accounts with another company that I have the debt to. Overall, very satisfied.

When you sign up they make it sound great. They did help us but the trip was rough. They DO NOT TELL you everything you need to know about the program like what it's going to really cost you. What they take when they settle a claim. You send extra money to help settle a claim. Had to call 4 times to find out where it went. Wouldn't recommend FDR to anyone

This was my second time using Freedom Debt Relief. I had three credit cards. The last one, because I couldn't afford the amount that they set was 350, I brought it down to 250. They never informed me that come time for the third credit card, I would not have enough money to negotiate it, which was the highest. I asked them to do the highest first and they said no. I went along with them because I figured they were going to guide me, as I had good experience the first time. Long story short, I got sued.
I'm in litigation, I'm in court, my credit score went all the way down, I'm fighting with them constantly. I have legal funding through them, it's $12 a month, and the lawyer didn't negotiate anything down. The next thing I knew, they asked if I accept it or not. Stupid me accepted it. I'm still at the 12,000 minus the interest. I'm paying full amount for the next four years. It was 206, it went to 200-something, now it's at 266. The other day, I called and said that this is what I'd like to do. I couldn't afford $500 a month because I'm still paying off my second one. I withdrew money out of my pension to pay off the second one and they gave me a hard time with it. I said I wanted to settle that off and gave them $2,300.
They didn't want to use the money, and then I had an escrow. I had to give them an additional $800 to make the 2,300 up for the second one, which was Capital One moving forward. I told them and they said they're going to take 290 something instead of 266 to pay the legal fees in case something happens, and I have to pay a $10 fee which the negotiator and the litigators want. I don't have a good experience with them and when this is all over, I'm gonna be blasting them all over the news and every consumer I can and the Better Business Bureau because they're horrible.

Freedom helped me consolidate my payments and get me back to where I'm not in debt up to my eyeballs. I didn't have to do anything, but make sure I made my deposits. Once in a while, they contact me. I feel comfortable with them. They didn't give me any problems and they were all very nice and helpful. They've done a good job too. They helped me reduce my bills and negotiated with all my creditors so I didn't have to worry about it. I'm not someone that likes to talk to other people much, so I appreciated all their help. I had money in my pocket for a change too.

For years I abused my credit. I did not know important it is to have good credit. Once the offers of credit cards started getting approved, I was big money buying and spending as I pleased. Then I was credit card juggling. I would pay several cards off. And the other cards that had been paid recently were the ones to be used next. Not thinking of all these high interest rates, I would only make minimum payments due. I was just digging a hole deeper and deeper as the days go. Then finally...I was done. More than 20 accounts maxed out and needing minimum payments. I then turned to Freedom Debt Relief. It was awkward to me at first. But then I started to see why I was doing what I was told to do. FDR made me feel more confident of overcoming these debts and continue to build my credit back.

It's bitter sweet, they take care of hard work of negotiation of the account but out of the 409 I pay a monthly. Only 40 to 45 percent on it goes towards my debt and the rest to Freedom. Which means it's going to take longer to pay it off.

Donna was fabulous.. I am happy with the 1 settlement however it became quite clear FDR was not able to come to an agreement with the other debtor. I am now on path to eliminate a loan in 24 months and the other I need to work out with the Lender.

I can only think of one time where I wasn't satisfied with anyone I spoke with. Everyone has been helpful, friendly, and non judgmental. I just wish I could lower my payment amount by at least 100. When I started I was making more money than I am now.

Freedom Debt Relief had the best standard rate. We combined a bunch of bills and then, we would have one payment. The reps were easy to get ahold of anytime we had a problem and they were friendly and helpful. I've got the debt down. They negotiated with the credit card people and got our loan amount, sometimes in half of what we originally owed. Everything will be paid off in August the 22nd. FDR is good. It worked for us.

I got into Freedom Debt Relief to help me resolve my debt. I didn't know I was sending money to Freedom Debt Relief so they could earlier interest on it until the final day of the 4 years to where they finally pay off everything. You don't pay him off when you get the money. You wait make interest off all the money. Why it sitting there for an entire 4 years so you could turn around not only received the funds for me that I pay for your services you also make money off my money that sitting there that should be returned to me. Or reduce my game out that I owe because you shouldn't take it.
Plus you never provide an attorney. You said you would you contact somebody. Ended up going to court by myself in front of the judge and the courts have made noted that Freedom did not provide guidance. It's in court records now. So I can't go above poor. I've had bad service. I've had very little service and you're not even contacting my creditors. I would like to see the call logs of every college you made to the creditors. Are we could go to court and have the courts make you. No you don't deserve any higher than poor.

Between the taxes and the fees, I saved a lot less than I thought I would. I now owe thousands in Taxes and I am still paying to get out of debt? They have been great with dealing with everything. Everyone has been great. I just did not understand the extra cost of the taxes?

Freedom Debt Relief has literally saved my life. The most important thing is to budget so that nothing interferes with having your monthly dedicated amount in the bank. Being faithful to this will ensure your reaching your graduation date faster. I was always a creature of impulse and and never deprived myself of anything, even though I knew and didn't care that I was falling more and more into debt..I finally reached a point where I was forced to look at the total amount of debt I was in.
When I joined fdr the representative assured me that I could do this and I decided to give it a try. I have been in the program almost 2years. It could be more. But to be honest I don't just sit and wonder how long I have to go. I have become so disciplined that my monthly dedicated amount is like my rent. The funds are always in my account. And I am happy to say that I have been lucky enough not to miss a payment, even with covid looming over me. It is such a relief to not have to deal with creditors. Fdr really did make my life easier and stress free.

I find it has been a struggle at times and I have had to handle some accounts myself. As I did Discover to keep it from going further than I wanted. With working with them I was able to get it cancelled totally. I have called tried to get them to move on this acc, Nothing. So yes some have been helped. One I got served papers and I took care of one. So I would not want to do this again. I will be thankful when this is over. I have learned a lesson the hard way nothing comes easy. They tell you one thing but it doesn't happen. I have only stayed because of accounts that are being paid. It has been rough. Credit has been affected in a negative manner and continues to be, which I thought would improve but has got worse. I can't get a loan anywhere so this has been a tough time.
My review isn't what they wanted. I have spoke with them several times but nothing changes so I am not and have not been happy. Sorry but was ask to so here it is, can't wait until it is over. Thanks for accounts that you have helped with but have been more costly than expected. Also didn't know had to claim on taxes, so again something that people need to know. So much unknown to get you on the program. Then the money is never enough to handle accounts, so you still struggle. Again thanks for the ones you have got reduced but it sure has been a slow time and I am still not out of the woods. With getting Discover off which was one of the largest accounts I still have 2 to try to get settlements on. Thanks for what you have done. Just wish I had known more.

I am pleased to have my debt being relinquished but the fees could be smaller. I think some of the fees have just been way too much, some of the settlements I really don't feel like I got a deal on after the fees were added.

Updated on 10/13/2021: Yes I would recommend a friend that would be in trouble with their debt. They have help me through this and we’re almost done and they are very affordable. They work with you and they work with the consumers. We don’t have to deal with the consumers. They do it all. I am very happy with their business and if I had to do it all over again I’ll go through them again.

So if anybody needs help paying their bills off this is the way to go. They will help you. Updated on 06/25/2021: Was worried at first that I made a bad move. But now seeing some results and little more at ease. Plan is to make a substantial addl payment each month starting in August. Hope to get debt free soon and be able to breathe.
Original Review: Just seems like taking forever to get debts renegotiated. And client dashboard does not really provide much info. But giving more time trying to be patient and hopefully will be able to give a better review in future because if can resolve as promised would be a big relief.

Thank you for a steady and sure process to credit repair. Divorce can be crazy. When found out I was getting divorced, it was then I found the cards. I was given very easy instructions what to do after being handed a Summons to be sued. I was sent an email with a phone number, fax number, address, and email address and also told when to call the Attorney.

Freedom Debt Relief had good success with negotiating debt and getting it paid off. They had a good staff of lawyers that were able to get things accomplished. You can suspend monthly payments and then start it back up if you need the money for that month. But the thing that I found very frustrating with them was that if we did that, then it was incredibly hard for us to get back on track. Sometimes it would be four months before they got it right and we would be behind in our payments, which wasn't our fault. We gave them all the information they needed. Other than that, they've done a decent job.
FDR has been straightforward, forthcoming and answered all of our questions or called us when there was a problem. So, I haven't had any problems with them as far as being comfortable. There are people who work hard for you and don't. No matter where you go and whatever job they hold, there are some who will be having a bad day or who knows what was going on in their life. People always have a private life that sometimes affects their work habits but there were a few who were willing to go that extra mile and try to help us out the best they could. Most of it was upper management there.

Freedom Debt Relief provided debt consolidation for me. The rep answered my questions but sometimes, I look back and think that I may have been a little bit misled about some of the monthly fees that they charge. It’s been a while back but they weren't clear about those. Sometimes, they're taking more of my money than they should and not putting quite as much to my bill as they should or could. But the quality of service seems to be good. They're doing what I expected them to do and they reach out to me and send me updates and information along the way. They always contact me before making any changes so I’m happy with them. I would recommend them to a friend although I would also tell our friends to shop around a little bit to check on those rates.

Updated on 05/23/2021: Although I have only been in the program 6 months, FDR has already settled with several credit card companies. I have received several letters from the companies thanking me for settling with them. Also I am learning to live without credit cards and am doing well.

Really helping clear my credit. I need not to worry about if I have enough money to take care of everything. The only thing is getting phone calls every day. My debt consultant helped me a lot. He provided good customer service. He was excellent. I was very comfortable working with Freedom Debt Relief through the process. Every time I call them, they always help me. They tell me what they're gonna do. They give me different choices. Then I decide which one is better for me. Freedom helped me with all of my debt. I moved from California to Tennessee and I had a lot of debt, which was part of why I left California. I was looking to consolidate it to pay it off and sought out Freedom Debt Relief’s services. I’ve been dealing with them for two years and everybody has been very helpful and great. I had about $38,000 of debt that I was able to get into. I pay probably a little over 600 a month. They were working with me to pay half on both of my paychecks every month, so then I could get it paid. But it's taking me a while. It's gonna take probably about three years by the time it's done but I'll be debt free, and I won't have to file bankruptcy. So, that's awesome.
Working with FDR has given me less stress because I was stressed out when I found them. I did some research and discovered that they seemed like a legit company. So, I read a lot of reviews and did some research for a couple weeks before I contacted them. They've made everything very easy going through the process and I've recommended them to my mom and my stepdad, and they're doing it too.
