My experience with the representative was very good. The rating due to not knowing each individual credit card balance to be paid off. No rolling balances. It is not given how much to pay off all creditors. Overall the experience was great in getting me out of debt at a price. Thank you.

I wish Freedom Debt Relief would contact me more. But lately, they've called to tell me that they've gotten a couple of my bills completely paid off. Other than that, as long as they're taking care of my debt, I'm fine. I also have the dashboard in my computer which they helped me set up, so I can go in and see exactly what they're doing. I'm happy with the service I've gotten so far. They're honest and they contact me when it's necessary.

It is OK, but I am struggling to make the $712 a month payments, working 2 jobs, and the projection to finish is longer than what I was originally promised. I was just told Nov 2014 when I was told May 2014 at the start when I signed up. One credit card just went legal.

FDR is actively pursuing the holders of my debts and persuading them to negotiate. They have shown my creditors their authority to represent me legally. I have not had to be personally brought into any court or other official hearing. I appreciate the instant reply to any question I have.

At first I was very pleased with FDR. Then I got sued, which I had been forewarned might happen, so I wasn't as upset as I might have been. I had paid for legal assistance ahead of time and thought everything was handled. That turned out to not be the case. Their rep forgot a really important detail re: how to handle being sued which resulted in defaulting in my response. Ultimately, I ended up taking care of the lawsuit and negotiating my debt all on my own. I realized that I could have done that from the beginning. Lesson learned that I didn't really need FDR to act on my behalf. Still, they have negotiated four of my accounts successfully. I don't hate them, but I lost some faith after their mistake.

I recently called regarding a debt collector who was calling me 1-2 times a day and was harassing me. I informed FDR about this and the woman who took my call was very professional and understanding. She informed me that FDR was familiar with the debt collector and that they would make the debt a priority.

Updated on 04/06/2023: This truly took the anxiety out of my life, gave me the opportunity to pay my debt reasonably and in a timely manner. It felt nice to have someone watching out for my benefit and make me feel confident in their process. Life gets hard at times and just knowing Freedom Debt is available to anyone who needs a helping hand. I thank you all and having the litigation group is a valuable help, if you are served court papers. They will handle it all, all you need do is send them copies of any legal papers. Nice to know you will not have to appear in court.

Not to happy with how much you charge when you settle a debt. It’s almost as much as the amount you settled. Should be a set amount from the beginning of how much it will cost someone. The time you said in the beginning is not correct either. At least another 2-3 years is added.

I am for the most part very happy that I am with FDR, however I am very unhappy that I receive a 1099 for what the Cc companies feel I have been forgiven, as they add on their penalties for not making payments from the beginning of my sign up and it looks like I am saving money but then I have to pay the government money because I choose to work. Other than that I am so happy to be on the downside of my debt and it has taught me how to stop using my Cc.

This program is definitely not like a program I used about 10 yrs ago. This one is extremely slow. Letting the charge drop off in 7 yrs would be equal to the same results in my opinion. I would choose a different one.

Program takes too long!!! Higher deposit amounts are required for Settlement Negotiations to be Started or Creditors don't get contacted!!! The Company does not tell you in the beginning that the monthly payment they come up with will eventually need to be increased!!! If not the program takes longer.

Horrible program. With all the latest and charge off’s they put on your credit it will destroy your credit. Then you’ll owe taxes on it. Then they will charge you 29% interest to pay them back. Absolutely horrible

One of our creditors included in our program was apparently known for aggressive collection techniques. Although we signed the aggressive collection waiver, no one explained that this meant the company was going to sue us! When we called the first time, we were told that LPN would take care of it. Nothing happened, when I called back they needed an additional $281 to even have the attorney look at it, we paid. Then still nothing happening. I had to respond to the court and everything myself. Why am I in the program? They did nothing to help. I contacted the creditor and made payment arrangements myself. Spending literally hours on the phone. What a nightmare. I wish we had never enrolled in this program at all.

On March 8th, 2021, I contact your service to inquire about why would your service negotiate a settlement after the account was past its statute of limitations. After speaking with Deann and asking her whether or not she was familiar with the state's statute of limitations laws, her reply was "she was not". I was told the entire process would take 48 months x $366, to settle all debts (I recently increased my monthly payment to $410). I just signed off on a settlement of $1541.85 that requires 47 payments. That puts me well past the original agreement of 48 total months to complete the program - and three accounts haven't even been touched. I'm getting letters from debt collectors for accounts you said would be taken care of in 48 total months. While trying to settle a select few accounts, the remaining accounts are accruing interest daily. I would have started out with a higher payment if I knew then what I know now. I feel as if I've been lied to, and taken advantage of in a major way. To say I'm dissatisfied is a gross understatement...

I'm disappointed in the timeframe that it's taking to manage my creditors. I never ever would have expected to have had three creditors thus far file civil suits against me. I'm paying more than I can even afford. I call almost several times and just feel like I wish I knew more upfront.

According to what I signed up for if I paid $280 for 48 months for a total of $13,440 I would have all of my debts paid off. According to my calculations I should only have a balance of $$4,080 with the added amounts I have paid towards my debt. When I called today to see if I was correct, I was told my balance is $7,666.17 due to interest charges and that the $13,440 was just an estimate. When I looked to find a contract that I signed, I did not have a copy and now I realize how stupid I was to agree to something that I don't have in writing. I'm not happy with this at all.

Just began the program, but so far so good...Harold **.... I hope favorable negotiations with my creditors begins soon.. I am hopeful I can continue to manage my debt with Freedom Debt Relief... Will continue to check in on my dashboard.... HLD.... I am wondering if I can possibly keep one of my credit cards active in case of emergencies... Is this at all possible? Is the amount of debt that I set up with the program at a certain original "static" status? I would like to hear from Colwyn **.... I would like to have options to keep just at least one card available for use.. Also, I fear that Bank of America may just start taking debt payments out of my account without my authorization.... Is this type of thing within the rules? I am really having trouble with filling in the blanks.... My credit limits are relatively high with all of my creditors... Hopefully I will get advice and the Freedom Debt Relief reps will be able to find solutions to resolve how much I owe on everything...

UPDATED 01/17/2023: I’ve been working with Freedom Debt Relief for about two years. I have about two more years left in my program. They’ve been amazing this far. I would definitely recommend this program to a friend if they were in the situation that I was in. every time I needed to move a payment, depending on a paycheck or adding extra money to be withdrawal in, I was able to contact them using their chat service extremely easy.

I am not at all pleased with their process, which I know is my fault for not understanding correctly. I didn’t know payments were not going to be sent to all my accounts, monthly. It seems Discover Card has a lawsuit against me that I was not aware of until I got a letter from a local attorney wanting to represent me.

Freedom Debt Relief helps me get back on track with my bills. I consolidated four cards and they talked to the creditors that I needed help with to figure out a plan that I could be able to afford to pay it back. Their reps were able to explain everything to me that I could understand on how each situation would be handled of trying to get help with getting payments. Freedom is working with the creditors and the amount that was owed was lower than what I actually owed. They worked well with trying to get a good offer for me to be able to handle.

My overall experience with Freedom Debt Relief has been partially satisfactory. I am extremely upset and dissatisfied with how much I have been charged to settle the accounts. I think I was charged too much. The amount I agreed to pay from the very beginning is the amount that I have been paying up until the last two accounts, which both now have been settled. I reduced the amount that I'm sending each month to cover those only, but no decrease or negotiation have been discussed about the payment.
When I first began, they told me based on what I owed at the time the amount that they were going to withdraw each month and that it would take about 42 to 44 months to pay it off. Had I known how to negotiate the way they were going to, I would have done it myself. The last account that they settled, which was USAA, charged that off two years ago and just turned it over to a collection company. So, that's who they negotiated with. The balance was 15,000 and some odd dollars. I received a letter from them about four months ago, offering to settle for 8,400 and some odd dollars. So, as instructed by Freedom Debt Relief, (a) I did not respond to that, (b) I called Freedom Debt Relief immediately and told them about it. They asked me to fax that letter, which I did. I never heard anything, which I didn't expect to.
Then, when it came time to settle the account, Freedom wanted me to agree to a settlement for almost exactly the same amount that was in the letter. I said, “I'm not settling for that. I want a better deal.” They said, “Well, I don't know whether we can do a better deal.” I said, “I don't want to settle for any more than $7,000.” Lo and behold, we settled for 6,800 and some dollars. Why did I have to go through all of that if they all were working on my behalf? I'm kind of aggravated with the whole thing. In the beginning, they did help but I feel like I’ve been overcharged.

I'm satisfied so far, I'm just getting started with the program. The worst thing is the annoying phone calls from the people that you owe. I am not used to this as I have always been able to pay my bills and pay on time. I only needed a program to help me get a credit card balance paid off earlier and see the balance go down in a timely manner. I do wish that you all had a program for that type situation instead of going through not making payments and screwing up your credit score that you worked so hard to build up. I was going through a divorce and when I got something in my email about Freedom Debt Relief, I looked into it. At first, I wasn't going to do it. When I talked to Erica, I decided to go with it. That was four years ago and so far, it's been okay. If I got a letter from one of my creditors, I would just let them know. They’d always take care of it. It's a good program to get your debt in order and get out of debt. It's certainly helped me. I don't have to worry about paying this and that every month. It's all lumped together in one sum, so I just pay it and know that everybody is getting a little something. Being that that is done for me, that makes it a lot easier.

Everything's been fantastic with Freedom Debt Relief. On the initial first call, they walked me through everything. I had a big issue with one of the major bigger credit cards I had and they settled it. I'm making my payments and they stay in contact with me on a daily basis. I'm seeing my credit score increasing. I'm looking to purchase a new home in two years, and I believe, at that point, I'll be able to. Great service, the outcome has been great, and I'll be out of debt soon. I would recommend them to everyone.

It's been a few years and Freedom Debt Relief is doing very well. Today I got a text saying that they got another debt where they could pay it off that I had to okay it. They communicate and I like that a lot. I have recommended the program too. I put my mom as a co-client under mine this past six months or so because she didn't have enough debt to enroll herself in the program.

Not Satisfied with the progress so far, No improvement in my credit score. It's been more than three years. Also I do not understand why taking FDR fees upfront which is not very small. The money I paid against what is paid to the creditors is way low.
