Freedom is the only choice if you are considering debt consolidation. No other company will take 'loans' so wake up and smell the coffee because Freedom is number one. I did my research and was facing financial ruin and bankruptcy. I was suffering the aftermath of a domestic situation where I was taken advantage and had an elephant on my chest. Not very helpful, taking 20+% in fees! Guess we will see how this pans out once in am really behind in my payments and how FDR takes care of them? I am just starting this and I am stressed beyond belief and they tell you to watch a video. It will help you.

I would definitely recommend Freedom Debt to help consolidate loans that have become too much to pay. I found myself in debt when the interest rates and minimum payments on credit cards became overwhelming and I could not pay them. I have a family member that used freedom debt several years ago and it was the best decision she ever made. A debt that would normally take forever to pay was taken care of in 4 years.

I have always been very conscious about my finances, however due to unforeseen life events, I did fall behind with my payments and got into a pretty deep hole with credit card debt. If it was not for Freedom Financial, I would not be able to have gotten myself out of the hole and repaired my finances.

Yes I am pleased. I have had some rough years and Freedom has has helped with some of the stress I was facing and did a great job. As long as you do what they ask it's not a hard process. I have been with them for 5 years and have made every single payment asked except 1 when my husband lost his job. I called and explained the situation to them and instead of making the agreed upon payment to the creditor and keeping the negotiated settlement alive, they instead took their fee which then did not leave enough for the scheduled payment to the creditor. That negotiated settlement fell through with only 2 payments to go. Later when it was re-negotiated, the payoff was then substantially more seeing as how they had already received more than 1/2 of the previously negotiated amount. Nothing further happened until January of this year.
Was notified that the final account that was to be negotiated had been written off by the creditor so the account that was currently being paid off was the final account. They had scheduled payments of about $10 up until the final payment which was going to be a large lump sum. I called and was told that FDR had already taken their fee so the only thing left was the payoff. I calculated the remaining payments and added the $3.00 ACH fee and made a new deposit in that amount to my dedicated account. It left my bank on 2/18 but did not post to my dedicated account until today 2/25. Every other withdrawal from my checking account has posted to my dedicated account within 2 days. Not this time. Of course, they could not put the request in for the lump sum payment until all the funds had posted to the dedicated account.
The next payment to the creditor was scheduled for 2/28. Guess what, that payment was processed today along with a $3.00 ACH fee. So now, my dedicated account is $3.00 short to make the lump sum payment. They are also stating that it takes approximately 30 days to process a lump sum payment which means that they will deduct another $19.25 on 3/7 for additional service fees. So now, to pay off my last creditor, I have to deposit an additional $22.25 into the dedicated account because they are greedy as hell and don't give a crap about you personally. Every time I call I get a different answer and each person tells me that I was given misinformation and that what they are telling me is correct. I am done. They will more than likely get the additional $22.25 out of me because I was this over and done with but if I were you, I would look elsewhere for a debt consolidation company.

Was told credit score would take a temporary “dip,” two years later still down 80 points! No new accounts paying off everything and the last creditor reports me every week!!!!! I would have done better on my own after all this time.

Your fees are way too high. You even charged me twice for 2 accounts. When I was unable to make payments during early pandemic. 600.00 for a 1800.00 debt you charged me for the 2nd time. I will not be recommending anyone use your service.

I was lead to believe that the debt would be settled in 3 years and that I would save 30-50%. However, it's been 3 years, we still haven't settled all the debt and the true savings is probably 10% because they consider it a50% savings based on all the added fees from non payment not from the original debt. I ruined my credit, have collections still on there and it will be at least 2 more years before it is resolved. Meaning it took 5 years which means I spent over 14,000 on approx 13000 in original debt enrolled. Don't see how that is a savings and where it benefited me at all. I would never use this type of service ever again and I definitely would not recommend anyone I know use it.

Slow to resolve debts and not getting very good settlement amounts for as long as this is going on. Seems Freedom Debt Relief is satisfied with collecting the monthly service charge with the settlement payments. When a Finance co hasn't been paid in over 1 year, they would probably go for 40-50 cents on the dollar but freedom is settling at 60-70 cents on the dollar.
We appreciate you voicing your concerns regarding our negotiation efforts, Neil. Remember, we need to wait for the monthly deposits to build up in order to have enough funds to settle the accounts. Strategically, however, this could be a good thing! The more and more the client's accounts go past due, creditors become more and more willing to accept a lower percentage of what is owed. Now, like you mentioned we do take a fee, but only once a settlement has been negotiated and authorized by the client and we have started making payments toward the settlement. Our goal and responsibility to our clients are to encourage their creditors to accept lesser amounts to resolve balances. Once we've done this successfully, we're entitled to collecting our fees as we've fulfilled our duties. Trust in knowing our negotiators will always take the first opportunity to obtain the best settlements possible. Best decision I have made. Best service and help from totally professional representatives. They made paying off my debt easier than what I expected. I think you all should find a way to report your client's progress to the credit bureau to help us build our credit back. I was enrolled for years and all my accounts you settled are still showing up as unpaid.

Since the debts have been paid off, what you can do is call each individual creditor and ask for a paid in full letter and see when they will be reporting it to the credit bureau. They’ve always been pretty flexible. The program seems like it takes forever, but I just have to try to put more money in there. It's working, but it's just a long process. The only thing that concerns me is that even though I settle accounts, my credit still stays the same and I don't get it. They've never told me, “Call this person and he'll answer those questions.” They just say, “No, we're unable to give that kind of information like that.” They don't send me to anybody. I have to do the research.

The percent saved applies only to the savings on the amount negotiated. It does not include the cost of fees for the total amount paid out to complete the individual settlement percentage. In my opinion, the decided percent saved should include the cost of payoff plus fees, to give a accurate percentage saved. After calculated the percent saved per settlement is lower than initially shown.

I was continuously given wrong information. I have had multiple judgements filed against me, after I was assured they wouldn’t happen. Yes my debt has been reduced however I feel like I could have done a better job resolving this myself. My graduation was extended by a year because my constant requests to handle one of my accounts was ignored. At one point you had no legal defense team and a lawsuit filed against me was never dealt with.

They are great people and are helping me reduce my debt but when I wanted to add new accounts the only option was increase monthly payments. Why couldn’t I extend my program? What difference does it make if it takes 5 years or 7? That’s all. Otherwise I do recommend them.

FDR did a great job getting me set up into the program. They did a great job when one of my creditors decided to sue me. FDR took care of everything and kept me posted with every step needed to take care of it. My only issue is the dashboard. It's very confusing to read understand how the process is going. I was not told nor did I have paperwork that said I was gonna be charged 25% of the total enrolled debt that I was gonna be done with my payments by March of 2022 and now I have to make payments for another 2 yrs. What a kick in the balls. It totally screwed my day up when I was told this news. I’ve been struggling and I will continue to struggle for the next 2 years. When I think about it now that bankruptcy might have been a better option. I’m 61 yrs old. So much for that dream.

They have settled all my accounts and saved me money. I have also had a lien put on my taxes by one Creditor for the amount that was adjusted off.; some savings. I have never had an account with this Creditor so please explain. They did not reply to my request.

Is it enough saying that in the end I have to pay more out of pocket, then was my original debit???! First thing Freedom telling you is to stop payments, in reality credit card companies mounting interest charges until moment when Freedom, not you decide to make arrangements. That’s in average about 1 year. If some cc company take action to court, what happens to me, “don’t you worry, legal tim will represent you”. In reality, that legal company make in court arrangements for you to tay everything- debit, interest, court fees, your representing lawyer fee….

I am disappointed that you don't give me a loan first and work with my creditors to get a lower payoff first. You wait until I go into collections. I should have gotten a loan myself and worked out a payoff myself.

It takes too long to pay off a debt. Seems you’re only interested in your payment which you take in full right away. By the time you try and clear the debt it has doubled and you still collect 25% of the total which most times equals the same that was owed.

We have been completely satisfied with Freedom Debt Relief! We had 13 credit cards and nearly $100k in debt that just kept snowballing each month! I have 1 account left and they won’t pay it off. I have over $1800.00 in my account and they keep saying it’s not time to pay off the account. I realized that for the first 3-4 accounts that I enrolled, I did save money. Anything that has been enrolled for over 18 months is not worth it because the interest accrued has almost doubled the amount. When FDR negotiates to half of that, along with the settlement fees you're still paying more that the original enrolled amount. Another issue is that you cannot speak to the settlement department team. The operators you speak with cannot even relay a message to them regarding your concerns. My recommendation is to only enroll debt can be negotiated within 2 years. Any smaller accounts, especially anything less than $1,000 unless they can negotiate them early.
