This process is too slow. I should not have stopped paying all my accounts at once. One or two accounts should have been targeted at a time and I should have stopped paying them only moving on to the rest as settlements are reached. I do not recommend that anyone use the FDR program.

Happy to have my debt being paid off. I just selfishly wish it could be without the service charges and check fees. FDR gives lots of great advice and are helpful at every turn. Would be good if all payments could be ACH and not $10.00 checks.

Fast work! Good and thorough customer service. Very helpful with explaining how the program works. The program is beneficial to anyone who isn’t getting anywhere with credit card payments due to high interest. I would recommend to anyone who has 15k plus is credit card debt. I have already came to a settlement agreement with one of my 2 credit cards and am moving quickly through the process.

The only thing I am not happy with is when we joined this company we were told after 6 months or so we were to get a loan and pay a monthly note until the creditors were completely paid off, this has not happened yet. Can you please let me know if this will ever happen and if so when? Thanks.

Updated on 09/17/2021: Freedom Debt Relief has been very helpful in getting us (wife) and self from under a large credit card debt. My payments were reduce considerably. I went from seven credit card payment down to one very manageable payment. The single manageable payments has been a lot of help getting our finance in order.

Setting up a payment plan was easy. It was an estimate of how long it would take and how long you'd have to pay this amount. The part left out was that the amount can change at any time and you don't have any choice but to do it. I found this out in the last two months. There were a lot of things that were missed so it ended up costing a lot more money. My whole understanding of the program was you paid whatever they negotiated. I had no idea if something came up that was different, there would be additional money paid out. For my situation, it was 900 something dollars. Right now, I'm literally paying $1,700 a month and that's no better off than I was before. It'll get paid faster but I had no idea that was part of the deal. I'm not happy at all.
The whole reason you do that is because you're in a financial pinch with little alternatives outside of bankruptcy. My situation started before COVID and COVID only made it worse. I'm working now but it has continued to be a financial burden as these other companies come after you for money. I pay monthly for an attorney and Freedom told us that we could get sued by American Express but not to worry and that they have retainers. And I did that. I got sued and the options were pay it all or pay 800 a month or 1,200 a month. Up until that point, it was fine. But had someone told me before that I just needed more money in the account to build it up so that they could negotiate, we would have probably avoided that. Initially, the communication was great but once I got into it, it had been poor. If I have a question, I'll typically send it in a chat or email. There has not been a whole lot of communication and typically, it’s somebody different.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They do not help with issues. I have called and sent screenshots of issues and nobody replies or even returns a call. NLLG is worthless too. All this company is about is money. Dont get me started on the settlement fees I was not told about upfront. All they do is make it look like they saved you money but they really do not because the money you did save is taken in settlement fees. Complete waste of time and money..

Discover says they haven't been in contact with Freedom - Freedom says they have- just hope they get something worked out before I'm sued. Discover tells me they want an agreement - Freedom says Discover is hard to work with. Please just get something worked out.

Freedom Debt Relief’s program works well. I get phone calls from my creditors and I tell them that I'm one of the clients from Freedom Debt, and it’s not a problem. People should go for FDR. It's very satisfying and it works with everything you can imagine. The reps were very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. My monthly deposits started off reasonably and have increased over $500 additionally monthly. All of my debts have not been settled so I am not sure how much more I can afford if my deposits continue to increase. I would not recommend this program. I have had two court cases and potentially more. It's really stressful.

I had a few medical issues that cause me to be unable to continue paying my bills the way I felt necessary over the past 3 years. So, I went to Freedom Debt Relief to see if they could help. I couldn't find a better helper in my attempt to care for the debt I owed than FDR. They have showed that creditors and FDR could work together to accomplish what was needed to eliminate my debt in a reasonable timeframe and satisfy my creditors. Freedom Debt Relief has taken a big load off my shoulders. Before, I had maybe a dollar left and not even enough to make it through the month. Now, I'm making it through the month, I'm back on my feet again and everything is almost paid off. I'm able to do things, buy groceries and do things. FDR is excellent with customer service. Freedom Debt Relief is very good with their customer service. It's always a positive feedback anytime I’ve ever had a question. FDR was always helpful but I wasn't quite sure which account was being settled right away. Lately, I haven't been communicating with anyone. They could be a little bit more aggressive and personal and say, "Hey, we can do this if you do this." My credit score has gone up, which is one of my goals, but it has taken a couple of years for that to take place. Where I am with it right now, I could probably move a little faster and get an excellent credit report.

So I’m hit out of the blue with this recommendation to deposit over $300 in my account for one of the settlements. First I heard of it, terrible explanation about what was going on when I called customer service. Her explanation was just reading back to me what was already written in the email - she could provide no further details and was supposed to find out what was going on and get back to me. I still haven’t heard anything yet and I’m supposed to decide by Tuesday and today is Sunday. Do you have the date I called.

If I could give negotiate stars, I would. I am being sued by one of my creditor. Even though I have uploaded the notice of intent to file suit and incur court costs and all documents from their attorney up to my dashboard. I also called FDR customer service to make sure they see it and forward all documents to the right person who can negotiate with them, but the person I talked to said “If it’s not a Summon you don’t need to worry about it, they are not going to sue you.” One month later I was served with a summon right at my front door! I have to pay for court fee $225 and $45 to faxed all paper work and check to NLLG. This is not what I signed up for. Very disappointed.

I amassed too much debt, had deaths in the family, and had another member of the family take off with all our liquid assets after 20 years of savings in it. All we were left with is hard assets and we owed everybody. It was a hardship for four years. I didn't really want to leave my creditors hung out to dry so I used the Freedom Debt Relief.
Everything's pretty cut-and-dried. We had some issues at first, trying to keep up with the program. It was tough but I had to renegotiate after I couldn't fulfill my first obligations with Freedom Debt Relief and we came to terms. Since then, everything has been all right. I recommended Freedom Debt Relief to several other people including my son and he went with them. After four years, they let him go.

I've been with Freedom for a while and they did a good job. All of the reps were very courteous and very on-task. I didn't have to work with the real collectors and that was less stress for me. The person that helped me get started was great, but the company did not stop the 1st automatic payment from my top creditor, so I had a lot of money taken out today, and today was not a good day for that. I sent the email letter to my creditors to stop automatic payments and it did not stop the payment from my top creditor was deducted out of my account this morning.

Customer service agent was fantastic. She helped me with the issue I had without any problems. I am in the midst of a legal action with one of the creditors and am not able to accept any other settlements. She made a note that the settlement was a deny but made sure it was shown due to the legal action I am in so it wouldn't go against me for the decline.

Customer service has been super helpful. They were always quick to get through to me by email for the settlements. And when I had to call them, they were a bit of fun and patience. I had one collection that went to court and they took care of it. I have a substantial amount of credit card debt. It took a year until something really started to go down. I'm supposed to be done in two years so I let go of a total of five years. Freedom cut off a lot of what I owed. That's the biggest reason that people should use them.

This has been a very stressful time for me. I was out of work for several months and couldn’t make my payments plus late fees. So far I am very pleased. It took 6 months for the first account to be negotiated. By 9 months 3 accounts were negotiated and now there are just 2 accounts left. The only bad part is each creditor calls once a week asking for payment.

Updated on 8/10/2022: FDR is great at solving debts, I only wish that it was a faster process. Other than that, I’m glad to see my debts being taken care of. Also, I wish there was an easier process for submitting collection notices to your account.

I was living month to month. I just couldn't make it and I started filing bankruptcy, which I didn't want to do because I always paid my bills and was proud to do what I'm supposed to do and what I was brought up to do. Freedom was at the right place at the right time. I talked with a lady who was super. She was very nice and cordial and helped me out tremendously. I signed up with Freedom and I've had a good response from customer service. They had very good information and they tell me I straight up what the deal is, whether it's good or bad.
I've recommended Freedom to several of my friends and people I've run into that needed it because they helped me tremendously in getting out of debt. That was 30,000 plus of debt which was ridiculous. I've had good service. It's just the program is just taking longer than what was told. But I understand things change. I was with another company before I got Freedom Debt Relief and they were just the opposite. They didn't do what they said they were going to do and they were slower in response.

You said it would take two and a half to three years to pay off the debts. It's been two and a half years and the amount due is not going down. Dragging on and on. Very unhappy with Freedom. Never recommend them to my clients and friends.

Updated on 12/23/2021: I am OK with negotiations FDR has made. But earlier this year 1 debt slipped out to collection agency. It was in freedom, but no one would talk to me. I negotiated myself which was not good. I know FDR could have done better
Original Review: I ran into a problem where I could not make all my payments because I retired thinking that Social Security would be good. It's not. I was looking for some ways to do my payments. Freedom Debt Relief was a better alternative to bankruptcy. The representatives were wonderful to talk to and they told me that in four years, I could pay my bills and they would take care of it for me. All I have to do is make my deposits. Instead of a whole lot of money going out, I make two payments a month then they take those payments. They negotiate with the creditors and they work out the system to pay.
So far, they have been very successful in resolving several debts and there are still a couple in process. I got a letter from one creditor and I mailed a note giving them Freedom Debt Relief’s phone number so they can contact them. Freedom is seems to take their job very seriously. Having worked out a payment plan has taken off the stress of how I’m gonna pay this bill and that bill. They let me know about negotiations and what they did. And if I want to increase my payments, I can do so. That way, they would be able to pay more.
I have talked to several people who are in the position that I was in and don't wanna file bankruptcy. I told them that Freedom is remarkable and they can ease your mind when you first start talking with them. They stay in close contact with you updating you on everything that's going on. I can go to the dashboard online and see everything that's been done like all my bills. Freedom has a really wonderful system and I really like it.

Updated on 08/06/2021: An attorney is assigned to deal with my case, but it's hard to contact. I left messages to know the details. I have to check my emails. I am still at Limbo on what I have to do. FDR pass me around, but no response yet.
Original Review: Had I started few years ago, I would have settled all my debts earlier. It is wonderful to know Freedom Debt Relief Program that help me to ease my burden. I am aware that my credit scores go down. As a result my gas card closed my account and Home Depot decreased my credit limit. What is important is to make sure that you have available amount when they do automatic payment everytime they took the amount. Hopefully, I will finish this in designated date.

I was told that my graduation date would be December 2022. That was going to be perfect because I was planning to retire January 2023. So I agreed to let Freedom Debt help me get out of debt. I started in Dec 2019 to consolidate my debt. It took over 6 months for anything to start with negotiations. The late fees added up and made the debt more then oringalm recently i got served court documents and am being sued by 2 companies and the only help they offer is for me to pay more for the legal group to fight it and settle in court for me. I had a filing fee of 225 and i am paying an extra 75 a month to try and get it paid off. So i do really see what the company does for you. I have asked for a reason but the answer is always it just takes time. While time is money and its costing me more now.

They work quickly. 1st settlement within first 30 days. They work with you. Yes your credit takes a Tumble but it's beneficial for negotiation. I was nervous at first as I have been messed up by another company in the past who did absolutely nothing. FDR has showed me I can trust them.
