I paid more than I owed originally after owing taxes on write-offs & fees. After paid off they don't return emails. Was going to get a loan to pay it off they know until they offer loan with their sister company then it was ok.

The Debt Relief program is getting my debt reduced and balances reduced. It seemed a little slow at first but then the paced picked up. I need to keep an eye out for the reduction and/or closing of an account.

Apparently it's taking almost three years to continue with the debt payment. I was not told it's going to take more than three years, I am not satisfy with the program at all, I they are taking more money from me for services and then to pay my debt, that's why it's going to take me 10 years to get out of this debt. I'm considering looking elsewhere for this debt relief program.

I would definitely recommend FDR. My score has increased little by little in the past year. Customer service has been great too. Easy to use as well when you have to upload anything to your files. Point is that once you graduate from the program do not go and ruin your score again. Yes, it can be a little lengthy at first but definitely worth the wait and teaches how to manage your money.

Just confused as to why I have to wait to be sued before anything happens with some of my enrolled accounts. I understand strategic hold…to a point. This has happened twice and each time I’ve had to increase my deposits into my dedicated account. Doesn’t make sense.

I was very happy in the way they keep my creditors from calling me. The staff very easy to work with and made me feel they were working to help me. I think some of the cost I got was unknown to me. I did not know the credit card companies would claim with the IRS some of the unpaid balance and I would be taxed as income. It would have nice to know that it put me into a higher tax bracket.

The gentlemen who answered me was fine. What I am concerned about is no one reached out to me with how this is done. If I hadn't called, I wouldn't have known to call NLLG, fill out forms, get a notary, pay fees, etc. I don't know if I'm being serviced well. Are my uploads being read and responded to and if I need to put more money in my account in order to negotiate, I'm not being asked to. Are you communicating to the correct phone number???? ** is my cell number and only number. There is no acknowledgment to when I do upload documents so I'm not fully confident. How can I help?

Settlements are expensive which wasn't made clear on start of program and you should do more about issues with credit report when creditors don't update credit reports. Would make it more beneficial to me. And more pro active in issues with creditors would be helpful.

I wasn’t sure about this at first and honestly pretty scared. It was very slow at first getting started but I have paid one of my biggest accounts off and I’m halfway there. I like the way you save money and make one time payment and I'm done with my credit cards and after consolidating debt, I feel a reduced sense of stress. Bad customer service, also representative do not work good with my accounts. Not on time. I have an account of furnitures. At the time when I enrolled to the service. I was own 1125 dollars, someone there leave the account. Take more time without payment, even for your experience working with credits known that furnitures accounts policy are very complicated. So now they are trying to charge 7 grands, and you guys call me with a big deal of 3700. + your service fee, lol. What is the saving, if I was owe 1125 and now I have to pay almost 4000.

I fully recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone who needs relief. I am in the beginning stage and have a long way to go. Emotional support, counseling, and get-it-done authority is waiting on the other end of the phone. Take action is what FDR does for you. Take time to prepare a budget you can live with before you call so that you have accurate answers. Bankruptcy is not a good answer because the debt can go away but the credit reputation hangs around for a very long time which reflects 29% interest rates. It is better to keep your word and pay your debt with a good credit reputation immediately as soon as you are paid in full.

They basically pull you in destroy your credit even more, then when no one will lend you a dollar they offer you a super high interest loan which you have to accept because they take way too long to settle accounts and you're being harassed by bill collectors. So they put you exactly back where you started but now you only owe them.

Debt reduction was not all that great. I could have settled it for less and not paid your high fee. I waited about 6 month to FDR to settle a debt I could have paid off originally. They saved me about $100. Then it was like they did me some big favor and charged me their high fee for it.

You did not take responsibility with my last billing with Navy FCU. You had it on your books for over 2 years then all of a sudden I get a call from a District Attorney telling me I owe more now than what my original bill because of the interest that was added on. So now I'm stuck for another two years of payment with interest.

I am very happy so Far with the Process. However, the Settle Fees that are additional to the Payoff Amount of the Settle that is Reached is a little Misleading. I understand I am paying less ultimately, but don't list the Settled Amount without Additionally Adding it with the Settlement Fee. It's misleading and not Accurate. Let me begin with I don't blame FDR (Freedom Debt Relief) for the financial situation I got myself into. With that said if I could go back and do this again I would not go with FDR. I started this journey with FDR 4 years ago. The first two years were not too bad and they were saving me money with some pretty decent settlements. After the first two years things went downhill fast. It started to feel like FDR was not communicating with my remaining creditors. I don't think they have a very good process for keeping creditors at bay while they wait to negotiate a settlement.
It wasn't long and I started getting court servers coming to my door to hand me lawsuits. My last 5 or 6 settlements were all lawsuits. When you are served a lawsuit FDR turns it over to NLLG to represent you. You are at the mercy of what they tell you and the law firm suing you pretty much sets the terms for the settlement. I was usually given two options. If you could afford to deposit more money to pay them off sooner they might give you a small break on the settlement amount. For the most part the settlements were about the same as what the balance was at the time of enrollment because the amount they would sue you for included charges that accrued during the two prior years.
This is the point when I started realizing how much of a rip-off this was. I really can't tell you how FDR was coming up with the settlement fees but you would think if they didn't save you much the percentage they take would be much lower but it wasn't. If they can take the fees right away they will but if there isn't enough money in your account they add it to the monthly payments. FDR does not list this separately so when you total up the remaining amount owed on the accounts you have left, the amount is actually higher and you don't know what it is unless you call FDR and have them tell you.
At that point there is no way to know if it's accurate or not. The fact that they only list the total settlement and not what's left to be paid on the fee makes it seem very shady. There is no way for you to track it so you are relying on what they tell you. One of their reps told me they are going to change that on the dashboard so you can track it. As of today that has not happened.
But wait, it gets worse. They constantly tell you in their monthly emailed newsletters that you can call and increase your deposits to graduate early. Several months ago I made a one-time deposit to move up my graduation date. They happily took the money but my graduation date never changed. Now I have enough money in my account to completely pay off my last two settlements but I can't get FDR to pay them off. They tell me the settlement agreement has to stay as is including the upcoming payments and they can't just pay it off at once. In the meantime they say I have to continue my monthly payments of $1650. They claim they will adjust that amount if I call in each month until the original graduation date. It's obvious they want to keep charging the monthly fees for your account and fees for the monthly payments.
I have called them 3 times in the last month trying to resolve this. The last time I called in I was very frustrated with the rep I was talking to. When I asked to speak with a manager I was put on hold 3 times while they tried to locate one. Eventually I was told they were all in a meeting and were not available. The rep assured me they would not tell me anything diff than he already had. I then asked him to take down my phone number (as if they don't have this in my account info) and have one of the managers call me back when they were available. He told me they were too busy to call me back today. Fabulous customer service from a company I have paid a lot of money to.

The client specialist are helpful in what your questions are. But I’m just stress with my creditors because I don’t really know if they are aware that I am enrolled with FDR and I did not know it takes how many months to start negotiating the settlement but now I’m beginning to understand about the program and I’m praying that help is on the way as soon as possible. I called to get an understanding of my account as it pertain to McCarthy law handling my case. Did not get answers to my questions. The so called settlement will cost more than the original debt. Maybe McCarthy should do better or withdraw their so-called help.

The program is helpful. Freedom Debt Relief was able to explain it pretty clearly. It would be able to help me set up some sort of payment to pay off my debt. I pay into it until it’s paid off. They were understanding of what the problem was and how I got in that situation. Also, they were willing to work with me on a solution that was manageable and that didn't put me in a total bind at the time. I found it to be a very smooth process with Freedom. I missed one debt that I should have included in the initial package and I very easily enrolled that into the package. That was six months into the process and it didn't have a detrimental effect on the total solution.

I have had $33,000 dollars worth of credit card debt but with your help it’s going away. Next year all my old debt will be cleared up and I have already started rebuilding my credit score. I don’t feel like I was told the absolute truth by the man I spoke with prior to me signing the agreement. He told me it would take more than likely with my amount of debt approximately 2 1/2 to 3 years to complete the program. I’ve even increased my monthly payment to $400.00 per month. There is no end in sight it seems.

I've been sending in $374 to Freedom for many years. Now, I only have $8,000 to pay and I'm sending $400 twice a month so I can get that debt out of the way. Freedom keeps the money in a bank until it reaches a certain amount then they add another account. Now that I know what I know, Freedom's rates are ridiculously expensive. I don't like the way they do things but I’m too far into the program to leave. Freedom should tell you verbally what they are gonna charge for exactly everything. If I could have gotten it cheaper myself, I would have gotten it.
Also most of the time when they called, I was angry. They called three times a day to try to reach me and it was obnoxious so I had to block all their phone calls. They’re trying to get more information. If I don't wanna talk to them, I don't have to talk to them. I'm usually pretty angry when I do finally call them because I'm scared mostly. I feel like I’m afraid to call them because of all the times they're trying to get a hold of me. They don’t text or email me. They texted before and I had to block every single number. There were so many numbers that they had. I told them to quit calling me as there was no reason for them to do that. They also sent something in the mail twice a month. Other than that, Freedom was flexible and everybody was really nice. They related to me well.

I would have given you a 5 star rating but I was misled by your representative when I called and asked how much I would have to pay to get this paid off she told me $4930.14 and that was after you took my $566.00 out on the first of the month asked her to take the the remaining balance out and she said it will be taken out July 7, 2021, which it was. She also said that no more money would be deducted from my checking anymore because I am paid in full and I would receive some kind of statement or diploma.
I called and spoke to a representative and was not pleased with my answer so I asked to speak with a manager. Alexis ** (not sure I spelt her last name right) and she said that more money would be taken out of my checking account on the first of the month, I asked why being I paid the account in full and she said because that's a scheduled payment.
We were on the phone for quite a while and then she said she could defer the payments for September and October with my permission. So I checked in on my client dashboard and found I have a balance of $4351.18, the next settlement is for $2844.00 your fees are $1195.58 which leaves a Balance of $311.60 of which are probably more fees. So I can't understand why more money has to come out of my checking account being this is the last settlement and I paid in full. I have recommended you to all my friends if they needed to go to debt relief.
I was so happy that I chose Freedom because you helped me a lot. But now I'm a little displeased because I was told I had to call in September and October to check and see if more money is coming out of my checking account. I paid in full because I retired and I'm moving out of state and I'm trying to pay off as many bills as possible. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. If this didn't happen you would have gotten a 5 star rating because I was more than happy with doing business with your company.

Settlement was terminated because I was $35 short in my account. Instead of notifying me settlement was terminated! Poor way to do business in my estimation! All it would have taken was some communication on your part and this could have been avoided!

Updated on 07/06/2022: They have been very helpful thru the whole procedure - I did not know what to do with so much debt and no way to pay, someone suggested FDR and I called being very skeptical at the time. After talking to someone I felt so much better, relieved in fact. They talked me thru everything in words I could understand. Have been available whenever I have a question. Have solved my problems in a timely manner, did not make me feel stupid or not right. Thank goodness for them and all who work there. Hopefully I am almost done with my debt and can start to live my life again.

Freedom Debt Relief sent an email saying someone would call me on Monday July 19th during a given time frame. No one ever did call. I can't say that I have a good feeling about this service. Especially since my credit has already been affected.

I spoke with Joseph on July 20 regarding two court summons I have received by two enrolled credit card companies after the death of my husband, Donald. Joseph was unbelievably patient, understanding and helpful. He listened to my complete case, advised me on steps to take which I have followed.
