I felt like Freedom Debt Relief was the best option I came up with. The service was consolidating my debts altogether and letting them reach out to my creditors to arrange settlements, I didn't have to deal with all that. This is a lengthy, dedicated and committed process. I've been in it for almost three years. This program worked exactly as it was advertised, and they are accomplishing the goal. We're about eight months away from total completion. They made my life a whole lot less stressful.

Two down, two more completed by July. 2 to go. 1 of those just negotiated and 1 to go. It’s been smooth sailing with very little effort on my part. FDR did/does all of the negotiations and payments from my bank account are automatic every month. I don’t to see, hear or communicate with my creditors very refreshing. Looking forward to end date.

I have been paying them for years. Recently contacted them as I have paid them more than I currently owe. I contacted them to take the money, pay off the balance and refund the overage to me. They then went in, changed one agreement that had 1 payment left. I have paid 1150 a month for years. They pay like 60 dollar payment. Have almost 4,000 in my payments. Then they use my money to make money, rather than pay off the debt. Right now I am waiting for them to pay off the last 2 accounts. And refund the balance to me.

I thought they were going to try to resolve account before I got a letter from courts. Instead I had a summons given to me by the courts. I was very upset and embarrassed by the situation. No one called to tell me this was going to happen.

All done online. One monthly payment and 8 credit card balances eliminated. I didn’t have to do a thing. Just followed my plan. No problem and Freedom From Debt took care of everything. Keep in touch via emails monthly updates. This time next year and all credit cards will be settled.

I’m nearing the end of my time with Freedom Debt Relief and it has changed the way I look at buying and spending. I used to put purchases on a card to get the points or the miles, thinking about all the bonuses I’d be getting, but not thinking about the accumulated interest I’d accrue on the balances. It got to be out of hand especially after my divorce and getting laid off. So I looked for a way out without declaring bankruptcy or asking for loans from relatives. I found Freedom Debt Relief after reading about ways to pay down debt and doing an online search. After I spoke with a counselor about my debt and how Freedom worked.
It would require trusting their negotiations and letting my credit cards go unpaid until a resolution was made. That was scary at first since I never had missed any payments and had excellent credit. It was rough gong for the first 3 or 4 months but soon I had my first settlement. I was notified by text and email and was able to accept it right from my phone. Whew. One down, four to go. I would get a settlement offer every 4-9 months so I knew they were working on negotiating with my creditors. I kept my part of the deal by making payments to my dedicated account (which were much less than what I’d have to pay all of my credit cards each month) and not paying anything towards those cards.
All through the process I was kept informed about what to expect and encouraged to stick with the program and not worry about my credit score since I knew I was responsible for the decline and I knew it would recover as I my debts were cleared. I learned a lot about my spending habits and how I could stay out of debt. It’s made me think carefully before deciding to buy. I’d recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone looking for a way out of debt, especially credit card debt. Listen to their methods and decide if you can deal with a moment of credit score drama in exchange for a lifetime of freedom from debt. I know it’s been worthwhile for me.

I just feel I should of been done with the program months ago. This last company I need to pay off seems they got over twice the settlement since it is taking me so long to pay them off. Miscommunication with the debt company.

I just called regarding my one creditor. I was disappointed and not expected my situation about my creditor. I love how quickly they email me when they have a settlement for me and how easy it is to just have them take the money each payment so I don't have to think about it. I like that it's a separate type of money account that I don't notice so I won't be tempted to take any money out.

Getting Debt Cleared so I can be debt free for life. I did not really enjoy the experience, but I knew it needed to be done. I hated dealing with the court system for this. I was grateful that the lawyers were able to take care of that aspect for me.

I moved home to have my parents move in with me. In the process, I found my father had substantial credit card debt. I combined his with mine and FDR worked with me and I'm close to graduating soon free of Debt for both of us. I couldn't have done this without FDR. I highly recommend them.

There was a lot of problems when I wanted to get a payoff amount for my final debt. I want to finish the program, but they are keeping me in the program without helping me finish things up, and the NLLG just left me in limbo when the person working on my case quit. One never got finished that had gone to mediation.

Was pleased with service. Just didn't work for me. Agents did all they could for my situation. A big problem was that a creditor I owed was not one to listen to credit counselors in settling a debt with them.

FDR has helped me resolve so much money in debt! I'd say that this company has saved me thousands of dollars and even took care of a settlement that the debt collector was on the verge of suing me but FDR made a fast negotiation on my behalf and it will only take me 18 months to settle as long as I put money towards my dedicated account! Takes too long to resolved my debts. When I entered the program I expected maybe 24 months. It’s now going on 36 months and the money going to a law firm is a total waste of money because there were not any help to me.

In dealing with your company I’ve been garnished twice, and am currently trying to fight off yet another garnishment… I feel if FDR had contacted all my creditors on my behalf in the beginning it might have helped in my not get my check garnished.

I am paying less to company and giving the rest to Freedom of debt Settlement fees, Monthly check fees, etc. Yes I saved money but hardly anything. I should have contacted companies myself! I would not recommend this to anyone. Oh also you have to pay taxes on the savings in the end.

This is actually my second time using a program. There are times in life for you find yourself in a bit of a bind financially ringing up debt that you just don’t know how you’re going to get yourself out of. When I signed up for the program, agent said over and over that they could complete the program within four years or less. Now I find out that it’s going to go 10 months longer than they projected. I also think their fees are way too high, for example, I just settled at $2400 debt for $1400, but they are charging $600 in fees. That’s not much of a savings. Needless to say, I’m not happy right now but I’ll stay with the program because now that I’m in it, it’s the only way I can go to resolve his last two accounts.

Was told my contract will not end until another 12 months and I advise that will add up to over 21,000 which would have illegal. My balance was less than that and how was I saving. Also if my account was being work on why didn't they know Bank of America brought my account back. I was told that only I could call the bank to see where it was sold to which I thought was your job.

About 7 years ago, my wife was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. She chose “Obama Care” even though I had BCBS and wanted her to stay with that. We had to move to a multi-licensed facility that was about $7k and often $10k per month. I had to quit work as even there, it was a 24/7 requirement. At the hospitals at various times, many things were not covered so I left credit cards everywhere. It was like an open tab at a CW Bar. For years, I was getting charge payment demands for a variety of charges. Finally, I collapsed under the weight and thought of BR, but, could not bring myself to do it. So, with a ton of debt, I went to FDR and after what seems like “forever” it was all finally paid off - at greatly reduced amounts without any harassments! I'm turning the company in for pulling money out of my account when there was none to be pulled out, now I'm 300 in the negative, disabled and not working....I called and asked for it not to be pulled out, and have it in text....and recorded....I was suppose to call back with a date for this to happen, and it happened without my say....

When resolving a debt, the fees charged by Freedom Debt ended up being almost equal to the amount saved off the original debt. Even after depositing 10,000 dollars into my dedicated account, freedom debt took a super long time resolving any outstanding debts.Would not recomend them to a friend and probably won't be using them Austin in the future.

Thank you for stopping the phone calls and for restoring a sense of calm in my life! I got behind on all my bills and further in debt because of quadruple bypass open heart surgery. While recovering and telling the creditors that - they just called more and thought I had the money and was not paying it! I turned what was allowed over to FDR and the calls stopped! The fees they charge are Excessive!!! Very pushy, they call you to try to goad you into increasing your payments! Most of the counselors are helpful, it's the so called Managers that call to harass you! Think twice before you sign up!

You guys did nothing I couldn’t do myself. I been with the company since January and no settlement were made on my account. I would never recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone I know. It would be better to pay off your debts on your own and you’ll avoid unnecessary fees and headaches.

When I signed up I was told I would be done in 2020. It is 2022 and I am still paying. In the beginning I use to get offers to close my accounts from my creditors. Very good offers, but Freedom did not take advantaged of these offers. If they would have taken these offers I would have been done a long time ago. I think they keep you in the program longer to keep you paying. I gave a fair because they represented me in court, but then I had to pay extra for the lawyer.

I think the process is too drawn out. I think more than one customer should be worked on. If not more than 1 then pay off quicker by putting more on debt. Very kind people to work with. I think the fee I am seeing is excessive.

The process to resolve my debt was done in a way that was affordable and painless for me. It eased a lot of burden and even do it took a long time, it is finally over. The customer service was very helpful and was there when you need their help. There was only one company who did not give any leeway to resolve my debt but it was more the exception than the rule.

Don't have to do anything. They take care of it all. From the beginning I started with approximately 5 credit card debts. Those were settled in 3-4 payments within a matter of months. I consistently added others following and little by little everything was resolved for me. As long as I kept my premiums paid each month, I practically did nothing else. They took care of settling the debt for much lower than the actual amount and I'm that much closer to being debt free. Thank you!!

I dropped my phone while on vacation in Fla. It to be replaced. Called Asurion to see if it could be shipped here. They were able to replace it and ship to me quickly. Made my trip very happy so I could take pictures and talk to family back home.

Creditor sent letter with settlement amount, FDR would not accept that amount initially, but eventually did and still claimed the Fee. No effort made by FDR except to collect the Fee. Now I will still have to pay the IRS for both the difference and FDR's Fee.

With 1 yr left until my graduation from the program, we refinanced our home in the amount given to me 3 times by 3 different employees so we could pay off my account in full. Payment was made to pay off in full as we could no longer afford the $1,800/mth payment in the current economy. Now FDR is saying I owe another $2,600 to pay off my account. I feel I do not owe anymore and that in closing my account they realized they had made a mistake. If I owed more, we would have taken out more cash while refinancing our home. Again, we did this because we cannot afford the large monthly payment. This is for a small business lost because of Covid-19, and rather than filing bankruptcy as most people do after losing a business, we have continued to make payments of $1,800/mth with no revenue coming in. We have never missed a payment. We have been responsible and held up our end of the deal. FDR should do the same.

I was told that if a deposit to FDR for specific accounts those funds would be used to pay in full the specific accounts. Funds were deposited and accounts still have a balance on client dashboard. This is not the first time that I received erroneous information.

The man that I originally spoke with and started off with was excellent. He was so thorough and he explained everything to me. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped me make my decision. I've never had any problems until the very end of my trials with them. There was miscommunication with one person and that set me off. I had to go to a higher person to get a better explanation. The girl I talked to didn't listen enough to me as to what I was saying. So it messed me up a little bit and I was very upset. That cost me more money. But in the end, it got resolved.
Also, I was in the process of moving and I had to push my 23rd of the month to the 30th of the month. They were very nice with me and very good about helping me with that. However, they don't tell you the complete picture until the very end. They say, "Oh, by the way, you have to pay this much for that. Oh, by the way, you owe this. Oh, by the way, you need that." So I went three months without a Social Security check because I didn't know that.

This would be my third year with Freedom Debt Relief. It's a good program. I was at 28,000-something dollars. Credit cards and finance companies. And that worked out. The negotiators came out with a settlement. There really wasn't much from the amount they settled for it. But it came out okay. I got it down to 1,500-something to finish out these settlements to get this thing on and out of the way after all these years. But what they said was, I could give them the settlement amount to finish out the accounts. I would still have to do that 460-something payment after I gave them 1,500-something dollars. How does that work? Why is that like that? If I gave them 1,500 to finish the payoffs, why would I continue to pay 460-something a month?
I’m almost 67. I'm trying to retire debt-free. And I would like to get that out of the way after all these years. But I wouldn’t continue to pay them 460-something a month after I gave them that 1,500 for a total amount to finish paying them people off. I called FDR. I talked to the representatives. And it just doesn’t register. But they’ve done good so far coming up with settlements. They've done the last settlement. And I'm ready to get this over with.

They told me 4 years to get done and the time changes constantly to longer and unless you can deposit more money in account they don't want to try to settle on some accounts that sue you and don't put them instead to get settled until they are wanting to sue you.

I wouldn't be debt free without Freedom Debt Relief (FDR). What used to be 26 years of debt accumulation, is wiped clean within three years because of FDR's program. I enrolled in the program with five debts, and I let FDR take the lead with all my trust. I never felt uneasy, or had any feelings of distrust; however, seeing my credit score take a hit was disheartening. This is part of the journey to become debt-free, and with time, I know I can repair my credit score. While in the program, I educated myself on how to be fiscally responsible, and how to determine what I "need", what I "want", and what I can hold off on. Your credit will go down when you first starts dramatically. Sometimes it’s easier to file bankruptcy. It’s up to you what might be the best option. Also it is process but they’ll negotiate. But your credit history will look terrible even when you paid them back since it takes so long.

First, let me say I am disappointed that the 2 year and debt free promise did not turn out to be the case. My debt will be settled in 4 Years from the start of my contract. BUT, I gotta be honest…this has been extremely stress free and easy every step of the way. I think I’ve gotten one call in the past 2 years in which I responded, “no one is to be contacting me, I have a company handling it and they’re your contact” and just like that, no more collection calls.

I send in my payment every month and then Freedom sends a percentage to each one of the credit card companies. They’ve negotiated settlements on them.

I am so disappointed with this company. I was suppose to graduate from this program on June 2020 and it never happened until April 1st 2022. Well I thought I was done because I called them on April 1st to stop taking out the money from my checking account because I was suppose to be done. But then today $1112 was taken out my checking account because the last guy I talked to take care of what was supposed to be done after you paid all of your creditors did not know what he was doing. They will not send my money back until Saturday, that is why I am so disappointed with this company.
