Service is okay. Definitely helping with my debt. No complaints there. The portal has issues with uploading documents. I get a message saying success, but they say they don’t get them. Also if you call customer service close to closing time. It seems they just pick up and hang up. Usually a baby crying in the background.

This is my first time & payment with Freedom Debt so far so good!!! I was happy that they consolidated my debt so that I can save money & become debt free when I receive my settlement so that I can pay them off and I received a discount on my debt!

The process of signing up was easy. I wish though I did not have to go thru all the calls from debtors. Being disabled, it is a challenge for me to deal with them… Some calling many times a day. Would be nice to have this taken care of by you. Disabilities cause a person to react and perform/differently. Coping skills are different…

I love how the customer service is so patient and friendly. I was not prepared with some questions and Alfredo was like it's ok....I can callback or he can call me back or email. Never frustrated...I can tell he really love customer service!

I am very satisfied with this program and the service provided. Staff I have talked to are very patient and explained how this process works and who my credit will eventually build back. They have already established a contract with one of the creditors and reduced the amount by half and this one will be paid off in approximately three months.

I just started with the program. So far I am happy. I only made my first payment. You helped me to know how to talk to my creditors. When they call I let them know that I am experiencing a hardship and they are understanding....But they still call....A LOT. Please resolve my debt quickly.

The people I have talked to were very friendly and knowledgeable and explain the process and next steps to me. I do wish that they would handle the creditor calls since I receive a lot of them per day. I would recommend!

Updated on 02/21/2024: In the beginning I felt like was taking too long and did not understand why my small balance accounts could not be nipped right away But as I check my Account looks like things are moving along very well. When I had any questions was easy to get someone to respond and explain or answer any questions that I have.

Very friendly and efficient. Listened to my needs and did not pressure me. Great job explaining the program and how it works as well as the final outcome with my credit report. Provided reassurance that even though the credit report would take a hit initially, that in the end it would be better than where I started.

Getting clear from debt is never easy, I've tried several times with several different services... This one seems to stick. I'm happy with the results so far. I would like to see the settlements move a little faster but I know it takes having the funds available also and takes time. I would have thought that the smaller accounts would have been negotiated by now.

This program is ridiculously long and drawn out to get results...ugh. 3 years for a handful of accounts. Not even the biggest debts are included. I know of two or three other programs with half the length. Please save your time and money!

Lack of communication, misleading. Haven’t really seen any benefit for signing up and they want a novel in the description for my review, let’s just keep it short and sweet and work on customer service and not mislead anyone, treat new accounts like people and not just a number.

So far my experience has been great. Just waiting to see my results. Can't wait for my end results. I do feel a little nervous. I already received my first call from a credit card and I told them what I was instructed to respond.

When I signed up I wasn't stupid enough to believe like some others that the service was free, I knew a fee was going to be part of the deal. What I didn't know was the percentage they charged and how fast they liquidated the main account with said fees. Then they got nasty about it when called on the carpet!

Updated on 12/17/2024: Debt Accounts (11/13) have been handled comfortably in the past 21 months. That said, four accounts (4/13) have been paid off. I am looking forward to settling the remaining two accounts (2/13) in the coming three months. Until then, I feel more relieved. Surely I must make on-time payments (ACH) throughout this (FDR) program. Yes, I get a monthly summary update on the official dashboard. It explains better than my notebook record. I also get an annual reminder to report all canceled debts as income when filing income tax.

I felt like I was drowning in credit card debt. I'm on a fixed income and between interest rates slowly going up, extra health insurance I need to help with what Medicare doesn't pay. I started the FDR program with approximately $22K in enrolled debt. Their estimate for resolving the debt was approximately $16K, which included all of their fees. The final result for all of their "work" is that now the amount I owe is closer to $24K and my credit score is destroyed. I stuck to their program: made all deposits on time, didn't add to the debt, followed their script when dealing with creditor calls. End result is I'm worse off that when I started

I bought my first house almost 2 years ago & it needed a few upgrades. New windows, an HVAC system, & the crawl space sealed. That took a few thousand dollars to get. Great job and getting my debt down is fantastic. I like that every month I pay a set amount and they pay my credit down. I had one late payment because my car broke down, but I caught up and only needed to renegotiate one account.

I have received two favorable outcomes, but FDR was slow to respond when I warned of one of my creditors and their aggressiveness to collect. That outcome was not favorable and could have been avoided. I have another creditor that is getting aggressive and if they aren't dealt with quickly the same thing will happen.

Most of my credit cards have been written off and y'all have done anything about it. I've sent information showing and nothing has been done. You keep wanting me to authorize a debt that wasn't mine instead of taking care of the right stuff.

So many fees it’s frustrating. Sometimes I regret it but sometimes I don’t. Hidden monthly fee of like $10 that they don’t tell you about. They (Freedom Debt Relief) let my debts rise very high and in the end, I paid more than the total amount when I signed up with them. But at the end of it all they were kind and legally helped me. When I got my job back and I was able to pay off my debt with them, but I didn't have to make a bankruptcy.

I was told that this program would fix my credit within 6 months of starting it. It has been almost 5 years and my credit is garbage, 3 accounts still haven't been touched. One of the negotiations was to save me $300 and Freedom Debt Relief was wanting $350 to fix it. I would pay more through this program.

Freedom Debt Relief takes care of everything more or less, other than sending me texts to approve or not approve when they do a settlement. During COVID when weren't able to make the payments, they were very understanding about it.

Was hoping to get resolved sooner than next year. But overall things have gone pretty good. Haven't had no type of harassment from collectors or nothing. I'm hoping to had some money to my account to speed up closing date. Thank all of you.

It says be accurate and fair? Not that your company does that! When I first spoke to your company it was anything but accurate in the description of how it would work and the truth of how it would impact me and my credit score. I was told it would lower my credit score for a "few months" and then it would bounce back once the settlements were made. I was told I would have legal assistance to deal with creditors. I was told you would be able to save me money (which happens with one company). I was sued twice and your so-called legal help didn't exist! It's been two years and my credit score still sucks. You settled for payments beyond what I said I can pay monthly. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY. NEGOTIATE YOUR OWN SETTLEMENTS!

When we signed on with FDR we didn't know what to expect but needed help managing our debt due to unforeseen circumstances. What we found was that the help from FDR was more than we could have hoped for! Fdr was there and available anytime there was a question or concern. I called and talked to another rep who also sent him an email and I still haven’t heard from him. I had many questions to ask and wasn’t taken care of when he said he would be there every step.

Until now I’ve had great service.. but now that I received a Summons for one of my debts.. I’m on my own!!! I feel your company charges enough to represent me without having to deposit more money so someone can represent me with the summons!! Not very satisfied right now.., I had to go get my own attorney

Good help to explain what is going to happen to clear my bills and get out of debt faster at a pace I can easily afford in a quicker amount of time. It was pretty easy to understand. But a lot of correspondence.

Had no idea when starting the program, I would have to file the money saved as income on a 1099-C at year-end. They conveniently never mentioned that to me when I started. I honestly wish I never entered this program. The lack of transparency is horrible. I got sued by 1 creditor and another would not settle. So I have to pay the accrued interest on that debt. This program is not worth enrolling in. I would have been much better taking a loan to eliminate my debt.

I was suffering from interest rates and then we couldn’t get out of it. It seemed like every month all my money was going towards bills. No matter how much I paid, the interest rate was always there. If I didn’t pay more than what they ask for, I still had a problem. I never could get out. I called Freedom Debt and the same day, they told me I don't have to pay my bills no more. So, they kinda took over the bills and paid off the settlements and gave me a little money to put aside in a safe.

FDR has done a great job and they've negotiated everything now. Right from the get-go, I was able to have more money available each month that I could handle other things with. We've been able to pay off the farm, which allowed me to have money to go ahead and pay off that loan I had to get for taxes and I have my truck back. I'm gonna graduate earlier than they thought. At one point, they needed a little more money to get this one done real quick and I decided, instead of just putting one payment to cover that, I went ahead and put whatever it was as a monthly increase.
