Have been very helpful and have great knowledge on how to correct all aspects of debt. They have taken me out of debt while fixing my credit in a timely manner. I am almost debt free I have one credit card debt left and I am debt free.

A lot of my debt has been settled. Some is taking longer than expected. I should be done by end of this year, but it looks like it will be next year. I do get regular updates. A good alternative to filing for bankruptcy.

I will always thank my God for the avenue He placed me in on the day I cried out for help. Being a single parent was a blessing that came with extreme hardship. My blessing was when I realized my marriage was very unhealthy for my children who were my priority. My pride would not allow government assistance because my children were mine and they were my total responsibility. Thus, my children and I worked many temporary jobs while I maintained my full-time job. My children grew up and went on to make lives on their own. I was left with a huge pile of bills. They have done an excellent job until the final but have now seemed to have that under control. Their help desk was both prompt and excellent. Had excellent experiences with everyone I talked to. I didn't understand to delay on the final one, but was really impressed with the lady I talked to. She got everything on track. Results are the true key.

FDR WAS good while enrolled, no problem at all. Just when I unenrolled I was disappointed. Refund has not been received yet & with all the technology we have now this is very disappointing! I just can't understand why it takes so long!!!

Updated on 08/12/2023: I am very pleased with FDR and their service. Their staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. My debts are being settled quickly and I will soon be debt free!! I appreciate how FDR has handled the creditors and I have had no conflicts. I would recommend FDR to anyone who is having financial difficulties.
Updated on 07/25/2022: It seems as though the process is moving slowly but I have to keep in mind that my accounts were not yet delinquent when I enlisted the help of FDR. I appreciate the updates from Customer Service and the scheduled phone calls.

I have spoken to several people in your Customer Service dept. They have all tried to help me. One lady tried to send me a Step by Step manual to help me. I never received it. We have tried using several different passwords. None of them work.

I was seeking to borrow about $10k to pay off debt on 2 credit cards and one purchase. I ended up with a debt resolution solution operation. There is something deceiving about the whole process. At the end, I’m pleased with what FDR can do for me to settle those same debts. So, I’m sticking with the FDR program.

Although I praise FDR for assisting us to get out of debt during the past 4 years, the fees charged for each settlement (5 so far with 1 to go) seem to us to be somewhat high. An example: settlement of debt from one debtor was 45% of total owed, but the fee was greater than 14% of the settlement amount. Their fee was added to the settled debt increasing the payoff period. We wonder if we could have done equally as well on our own.

Freedom Debt Relief worked with the deals and once they got a settlement, we went with the loan part of it and I'm still paying on that. The program was good and working with them helped me out. If people need Freedom, they would be able to help them. My daughter even went with them for a loan and got some stuff paid off. Now, they're paying them.

I am satisfied with everything however when I added an additional 50.00 dollars a month payment there was an extra charge taken out. So I didn't get all my extra put in my account. Would like to add more but want whole amount applied. Also the last two accounts to be negotiated are the ones that called the most that made it very stressful.

They have given me a lot of information and deeply explained I believe everything. First payment is in a week, and we will see from there. I don't understand why the lowest card isn't paid first. I would pay the lowest first that way the interest doesn't make the bill higher. Maybe someone can explain it to me. If someone can explain it I would have a better understanding of how credit works.

Working with the team at Freedom was alright. After COVID, things changed because you're required to pay X amount every month. And after COVID, I lost my second job and I couldn't do it. So, I was always having to reset what I was going to pay every month and it was a bigger hassle than I thought it could have been. But the service was good.

When I first decided to enroll in this program I faxed two invoices to Carol **, because these were not available on the internet. I received verbal confirmation from her that she got these documents. Since that time I have received three different emails asking for these documents. Where did they go? I am very disappointed, as it seems there is no coordination between your departments and/or divisions. Have I made a mistake in entrusting your company to help me resolve these debts?

At first I wasn't too sure of the program but now after 7 accounts enrolled and I am making payments for the final account I am feeling like I will be free from debt by the holidays and will start having more money to put into savings that was going into an account to pay off my debt is satisfying. I just wished this could have been done without negatively affecting my credit score. I will just need to rebuild it.

I had two people start my approval and never contacted me back. One lady made an appointment for a phone call and never called. I called and text and she never answered me so I had to start over with someone new. Frustrating.

Everything was well explained when I enrolled with Freedom Debt Relief and it was easy. I get discharged next month and the experience was great. The people were very professional and courteous. When they had questions, they would reach out and contact you. But other than that, they told me exactly what to do and I followed their lead. Freedom was reasonable with the amount of deposit. As promised FDR has been extremely accommodating.. When I requested a payment suspension they worked with me. They have closed most of my accts. Only 3 left Amazing. They speak clearly on the issues. Do not mislead you, however when you notice some accts have little debts you wish they were settled sooner.

Discover was my card I used for student expenses. I intended that statement to be a full accounting for tax purposes. FDR never followed up for me, and I was met at my door with a subpoena from Discover to show up in court for the whole amount. I called FDR, they dropped the ball. They forgot to call someone or something and never started the negotiation with Discover. I'm left with no negotiation on this account since they dragged me to court. YMMV.

We were given an estimate of 48 months when we started our program. Time was added to total 60 months. It was misleading, otherwise a good program. Right now our estimated completion date is given in a month's spans. October to December.

Probably one of the easiest experiences I ever had dealing with my debt. After buying a house all the extras added up. Charged everything on cards and ran into some issues. To say the least when you can only pay the minimum you just never lose that debt. I’m almost completely out of debt after a couple of years. We wanted to be sure all our debts were satisfied, but we were only getting further behind trying to balance our bills and afford to care for our family. This program did not at all accomplish what it promised. It took much longer than disclosed to settle my debts. Without the help from a credit repair company, we would still be attempting to “settle debts” on FDR’s lack of urgency terms. We paid out thousands of dollars JUST IN FEES!! This program was robbery. It was in no way helpful in settling any debts! All it did was take advantage of me and my situation and ended up forcing me to pay out more money than my original debts. I would never recommend this program to anyone and am seriously considering a lawsuit. So unfortunate for me and for the thousands of other clients who are being scammed.

Updated on 05/25/2023: I've had three accounts that I already got sued on that I had the lawyers take over and take them. I wasn't happy about the way they go about that because I have to do all the homework myself, and I thought it was wrong. “I'm paying you to do a job. You should be handling this with the lawyers. And whatever you need, let me know, three-way call me, whatever.” That was not what they did. I got past all that. Now, I'm just about done, but they told me that this would be done in three years, and that was in 2019, and I'm still paying them. I've got three more accounts left out of 10. So, they settled four of them for us. I took care of three of them, and there are three they're taking care of again. It's flowing pretty easy right now because everybody's already settled with them. All I'm doing now is paying my monthly, and then they're paying out of that. I checked my account. There's quite a bit of money in there for them to do whatever they need.
I haven't heard from them in years or at least a year and a half. I've had to call them to find out what's going on here, what's going on there. They answer the questions fine. At one point, they raised the amount that I pay them every month because they said, “Oh, this has gotta be settled right now, so we need more money. We need more money.” I was like, “Had I known you guys are gonna be charging me this more money -- that's how much I was paying on my own to get these cards taken care of, I would have never needed you.” I went back and forth with their office manager about it, and I said, “Well, I'm too far in now to bail out.” I didn't wanna go bankrupt, so I'm like, “Okay. Let's just continue.”
That's kind of where I've been but now it's getting close to the end. They told me my estimated graduation date now is November of this year, but that was after I got on the horn because they changed my graduation day twice. I got mad about it and I was like, “How can it be? You guys are supposed to know what you're doing.” So, they changed it to March of 2024, and then it was July of 2024. I was like, “You guys said it would be done by November ’23, and I'm still seeing that same date." They changed it back to November of this year.
Original Review: 1st of all they said that this would only last 3 years and the payment would never change. The payment I've got up twice and I'm still working on it but I'm trying to get this done. I mean I like when people aren't sticking to a word

Withholding the 5 star rating until I've completed the program. But it is progressing nicely, and has been very easy. Only had one small glitch (not with Freedom directly, but the Law firm I was paying extra for) but it was quickly resolved and didn't affect anything. I originally enrolled ~$38k worth of debt over 5 years ago with FDR. To date, I have deposited $60k and still have $6k worth of debt to pay off. That’s $60k to pay off only $32k? Where did my money go? They fee you to death.

When I was first introduced to FDR I was skeptical hoping that that it wasn't a scam or that it would take me ages to clear up my debt. There was initial confusion on the debts. I had however I was given clear information on the procedures to help me. Rarely did I have a question that couldn't be answered. I found FDR at a time when I was barely floating - I was missing payments because I was juggling accounts and living paycheck to paycheck. FDR took over negotiating a reduction in my debt and started making those payments, which was a huge relief for me. At one point, a creditor refused to work with FDR and instead filed suit against me; FDR's legal partner handled that and negotiated a settlement without a judgment. I was dissatisfied with the hidden fees and lack of communication. Also, allowing account to go into court disappointed me because now the judgement is on my credit report for seven years. That is one of my biggest dissatisfactions of the program. I would not use the service again if I needed it.

It was my first month and I thought I had to schedule money to be in my account to make my payment. It turns out it is an extra payment. I tried to cancel it 3 times and they said they were unable. So now it cost me an overdraft fee in addition to the extra $500 payment when I tried canceling 3 days before it came out. Frustrated to say the least.

I made a mistake with one account and had to use the legal services - which were good. The lawyer however, was arrogant, brisk and initially hard to get along with. He kept wanting to harp on what I should have done. I owned my mistake and was ready to move on - but he was not. I just had to endure the Chastisement in order to get to the help. I will say that I was more than satisfied with what he was able to do for me. It was just his initial attitude that irked me.

Yes this is the right decision for me but there are things I really don't understand. I don't know why you guys don't pay each creditors a small amount so I don't have to be a no show on payment. Wow where do I start? I have been in this program since Mar-2018 and now it's June of 2022. When I started this program I was overwhelmed, scared, determined and I am a single person looking for hope. I kept telling myself just stick to the program and do what they say... just stick to the program. If you want to become debt free you have to have patience. It's a commitment. Think how long it took you to get into this situation. It's not something that's going to happen overnight but if you stick to the program it will happen.
I wouldn't be able to get out of this mess if it wasn't for FDR. They reduced my debt by over 13,000K! They always answered all of my questions and I had a lot and FDR was always there to help me even when it got tough. Nothing is guaranteed meaning not everyone wants to settle. Every debt situation is different and unique in their own way but FDR will back you up and get you through it like they did for me. Thank you FDR for helping me get my life back on track again!

Updated on 09/26/2023: You have done nothing but had my bank accounts frozen because you have not reached out to them to let them know that I am in the program.. I have called every one of the cards I have and told them you have not yet reached out to the cards with the biggest balances on them.. I have 4 cases with lawyers against me and I have to add more money into my account because my cards were never addressed. This was the biggest mistake of my life. I send over the paper like I am supposed to and you let them sit for months. Never looked at them..
Original review: I was told after one week someone would call me and help me out once I signed the contract no one had called me! I have called 5 times. Left message and still no one! The cards that I have keep calling me and saying they have heard nothing from you! So I guess once you get a signed contract and money I mean nothing!

Once I heard about Freedom Debt Relief's program, I made a phone call and talked to them. They mapped out, “This is how it’s gonna work. This is what it’s gonna be. This is how long it’s gonna take.” Once I signed the paperwork and went with them, they gave me all this welcome aboard or stuff that I need to do. So, I transferred all the information to my accounts like address, mailing address, and phone numbers, and they deal with everything. Within the first five months, they settled the first account. I do recommend the company to those people that don’t know how to deal with this because it does help out. I get legal advice as well from a legal representative through them.

I recently canceled the program. They were into me for a few thousand dollars and made 1 settlement payment for like $60 and when I saw I only had $65 in my dashboard I asked, "Where's all the money you took from me?" And they kept it for fees. They didn't do anything but take money from me and called that work on my profile so I realized I could do the same thing that they were doing and save thousands. You should do the same!

Was not verbally told about the fees at settlement- paid you over $9000 in settlement fees. Also, why would you offer a loan towards the end of the program to pay off the program to someone who obviously is just trying to get out of debt.

It was ok until covid happened then I was force to retire due to becoming unemployed plus knee replacement surgery. Then I had trouble reducing my deposit. THEN I HAD enough balance to cover the payment and can't understand why you still need to make a deposit until graduation.

I wish I would of paid better attention to the program information. Just so excited I was going to see the end of my debt soon. I was told it would take for years. It has been 41/2 years and still one credit card to go. Yes I have been making my payments every month. I also did not realise their fees were so high. Yikes!

I appreciate all that Freedom from debt has provided in the effort for debt resolution. All its representatives have been knowledgeable, polite and and fair. Two points I have had some issues with - one was my dashboard has remained inaccessible for some time despite multiple attempts to resolve this. This made it necessary for me call to find out what were my standing on accounts. Secondly in the last phase of resolving my last debt it has taken over three months although the money has/was accessible. This seemed excessive to me. Money was/still is being taken from my checking account during this time (in lesser amounts). I think one to one and a half months is a reasonable amount of time to have wrapped up this process. Having communicated this, thanks again for your efforts.

I was at the end of my rope and decided to call Freedom Debt Relief just to see if there was any help I could get. I was drowning in debt, late fees, and being hounded by constant phone calls. That phone call changed everything. The voice on the line was reassuring and not judgmental. I got set up right away and began paying every two weeks. We are now less than 30 days from paying our final payment. It feels great! I’m never going back to being in debt. It’s not worth it, but thankfully FDR helped us get out of it. It would have taken 75 years at the minimum payment to get out of debt. I learned a lot about managing money and not going back to those old ways. I recommend FDR highly!

First it took me 6 months to correct a mix up in accounts which delayed me accepting an offer on one of my accounts. Also when we reject an offer we thought they were doing nothing on our behalf because they was never any communications from them. After years we recently found out that many of these offers were reconstructed to different payments terms. We never knew this. The same supervisor/negotiator who fixed my mixed up accounts is the same one who explained all of this. For years/months I was told my issues were being dealt with but not seeing any rest. But everyone I dealt with were polite, respectful and friendly.
I also had 1 account that went to legal and wasn’t able to negotiate a settlement and that account went into judgement. Now that I can see this on my file I realized the lawyer working on it miscommunicated my response to the creditor and that creditor was granted a judgement against me. I feel Freedom is a good way to try to wrangle your debts, but so many balls were dropped in my case. But I am still trying to work things out.

I joined FDR in 2019 with well over $50,000 worth of debt. Only able to pay the minimum plus a few dollars extra here and there, I was looking at paying my debt off in 10+ years. Using FDR, I am going to have it paid in less than half that time. My credit score did suffer, but that was something they prepared me for. Each time an account is fully resolved, my score increases. By the time I graduate from the program, I should have a very good score again.

The one thing that they didn't tell us upfront is that there would be 1099s coming and we were told it would negotiate down 50% and most of them did, but they should let you know of the ones that won't during intake. So, the intake portion needs some work, but all else was fine.

Overall, I had a great experience but, I gave 3 stars because I felt the company could have resolved my last debt sooner. They tried to make more money from me instead of resolving the debt. I would recommend for someone with a larger debt.

By the time most of the accounts were settled, I owed more than when I started, and then I receive 1099’s for the amount I supposedly saved. This was not the way it was explained to me on the front end. I would not have signed up with this company had I known it worked this way, and will not recommend you to anyone.

Couldn’t get me a loan to get out of CC debt. You advertise that people can get a loan for CC debt then when you apply you deny. Saying my debt is too much…no ** it is. That’s why I need a loan to get out of CC debt you dumb **. You people are morons, communicating was horrible!

I enrolled in the program with the assurance that my debts would be settled in a timely manner. I was also assured that my final settlements would be less than my enrolled debt. While the first few accounts were paid quickly, the accounts with larger balances were not. I ended up paying more in than my original enrolled debt and had to remove an account because it was not being settled in a timely manner. I do not recommend this process.

I had some stuff that I wanted to get cleared up, so I tried Freedom Debt Relief out and I was very satisfied. I did it for 48 months and then it took care of my debt. The representatives were excellent and very professional. Any time I had a problem, I would call, and somebody was always polite in helping me. My payments were on the 12th, and sometimes my pay period was different and I had to move it like a week up, and they took care of it. Working with Freedom Debt Relief took care of those cards and stuff that I had. It's pretty good for me.

When I started FDR I had been paying the minimums on my credit cards for years - never seeing any drop in the principal total and being punished with fines if I was ever a minute late. My mailbox and voicemail was constantly pinging with reminders and harassments to pay this or that on time OR ELSE. If you're lucky, you'll start to realize that your desire to have things you can't readily afford has set you up to be taken advantage of by lenders and institutions lined up to give you the rope you need to hang yourself from their gallows. I have been very lucky that the one person I know of who had gone through FDR casually mentioned that I should do it. Not enough people know about FDR, apparently. In short - FDR saved me stress, grief, humiliation, harassment, and thousands of dollars over the five years it took me to go through the program.
During Covid I was often getting by on dollars. Paying to FDR was difficult at times, but I stayed with it, knowing that the alternative to seeing my debt going down, was to see it go up, and to be harassed and fined and threatened. I am graduating from FDR in 2 days. I couldn't be more grateful. I will never use credit again.
Sometimes when we want something we can't have, it's because we shouldn't have it. Changing my mind and my lifestyle has made me a different person - one more stable, more satisfied, and one less susceptible to falling victim to other people's schemes designed to take advantage of another person's unhappiness and dissatisfaction. That's for other people – not for me. Thank you Freedom Debt Relief, and all the people who make up your institution. You've changed my life and I couldn't be more grateful. Beyond financial help, the emotional uplift of your kindness and the hope of being debt free that you give to your clients is nothing shy of immeasurable.

Only 1 new deal so far in 2024. Everything else going as planned. No recent contact. Several accts have been cleared since opening my acct. Honestly I thought we would be much further along by this time but I guess it is what it is.
Updated on 09/15/2022: Very satisfied with the progress so far. Everyone at Freedom has been doing a great job working to get settlements on my outstanding balance for my credit cards. If anyone I know gets into a situation with credit I will my best referring this company to help them as they are helping me.

I'm making progress, yes but I have to say, when I signed on with FDR I was told I could expect to be debt-free in 2021...that's not proving to be true. And I didn't have any additional debtors added to my account to change anything.

My debts were negotiated over a 3 year period. I set up autopay for my payments and because they were settled over 3 years, I could spread the tax consequences out so that was very workable for me. I would recommend them to everyone - and I have!
