Very helpful and professional in all aspects, did what was promised, and responsive when I had to contact them. Very satisfied in all aspects. Fees were as quoted, the only difficulty was trying to get a loan and that was explained to my satisfaction.

Once I heard about Freedom Debt Relief's program, I made a phone call and talked to them. They mapped out, “This is how it’s gonna work. This is what it’s gonna be. This is how long it’s gonna take.” Once I signed the paperwork and went with them, they gave me all this welcome aboard or stuff that I need to do. So, I transferred all the information to my accounts like address, mailing address, and phone numbers, and they deal with everything. Within the first five months, they settled the first account. I do recommend the company to those people that don’t know how to deal with this because it does help out. I get legal advice as well from a legal representative through them.

So far I am very well please. & I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief plan to anybody that has a hardship with their debt as I have. It has got me worried so much I can't not sleep at night but when, I found freedom in debt relief it has given me a way to pay all my debt down in 4 years maybe even sooner. I recently canceled the program. They were into me for a few thousand dollars and made 1 settlement payment for like $60 and when I saw I only had $65 in my dashboard I asked, "Where's all the money you took from me?" And they kept it for fees. They didn't do anything but take money from me and called that work on my profile so I realized I could do the same thing that they were doing and save thousands. You should do the same!

Was not verbally told about the fees at settlement- paid you over $9000 in settlement fees. Also, why would you offer a loan towards the end of the program to pay off the program to someone who obviously is just trying to get out of debt.

It was ok until covid happened then I was force to retire due to becoming unemployed plus knee replacement surgery. Then I had trouble reducing my deposit. THEN I HAD enough balance to cover the payment and can't understand why you still need to make a deposit until graduation.

I have been very satisfied with the support and ease of finally getting my debt under control. Would have taken 30 yrs to do what I am doing in 4 years. I had over 30,000 in debt and it has been easier than I would have thought to have an exact amount every month debited from my account to resolve all these balances.

Thank you for your help. FDR personnel were Great. They answered all my questions, kept me up to date on my accounts progress. My only complaint is I was not notified when my account was sold a second time. I called the Co. and found out who had it. I then notified FDR, my Debt was taken care of. Again, THANK YOU FDR.

It was such a relief to have help when I felt hopeless with my debt, the months seemed to go fast once I got into a good budget and now I have paid off the debt! I wish I would of paid better attention to the program information. Just so excited I was going to see the end of my debt soon. I was told it would take for years. It has been 41/2 years and still one credit card to go. Yes I have been making my payments every month. I also did not realise their fees were so high. Yikes!

I appreciate all that Freedom from debt has provided in the effort for debt resolution. All its representatives have been knowledgeable, polite and and fair. Two points I have had some issues with - one was my dashboard has remained inaccessible for some time despite multiple attempts to resolve this. This made it necessary for me call to find out what were my standing on accounts. Secondly in the last phase of resolving my last debt it has taken over three months although the money has/was accessible. This seemed excessive to me. Money was/still is being taken from my checking account during this time (in lesser amounts). I think one to one and a half months is a reasonable amount of time to have wrapped up this process. Having communicated this, thanks again for your efforts.

I was at the end of my rope and decided to call Freedom Debt Relief just to see if there was any help I could get. I was drowning in debt, late fees, and being hounded by constant phone calls. That phone call changed everything. The voice on the line was reassuring and not judgmental. I got set up right away and began paying every two weeks. We are now less than 30 days from paying our final payment. It feels great! I’m never going back to being in debt. It’s not worth it, but thankfully FDR helped us get out of it. It would have taken 75 years at the minimum payment to get out of debt. I learned a lot about managing money and not going back to those old ways. I recommend FDR highly!

First it took me 6 months to correct a mix up in accounts which delayed me accepting an offer on one of my accounts. Also when we reject an offer we thought they were doing nothing on our behalf because they was never any communications from them. After years we recently found out that many of these offers were reconstructed to different payments terms. We never knew this. The same supervisor/negotiator who fixed my mixed up accounts is the same one who explained all of this. For years/months I was told my issues were being dealt with but not seeing any rest. But everyone I dealt with were polite, respectful and friendly.
I also had 1 account that went to legal and wasn’t able to negotiate a settlement and that account went into judgement. Now that I can see this on my file I realized the lawyer working on it miscommunicated my response to the creditor and that creditor was granted a judgement against me. I feel Freedom is a good way to try to wrangle your debts, but so many balls were dropped in my case. But I am still trying to work things out.

I joined FDR in 2019 with well over $50,000 worth of debt. Only able to pay the minimum plus a few dollars extra here and there, I was looking at paying my debt off in 10+ years. Using FDR, I am going to have it paid in less than half that time. My credit score did suffer, but that was something they prepared me for. Each time an account is fully resolved, my score increases. By the time I graduate from the program, I should have a very good score again.

The one thing that they didn't tell us upfront is that there would be 1099s coming and we were told it would negotiate down 50% and most of them did, but they should let you know of the ones that won't during intake. So, the intake portion needs some work, but all else was fine.

For the most part everyone was very helpful. I was sued by one company but the Company attorney helped me resolve the issue. Overall it is a good program and I would do it again. I do recommend the program.

Overall, I had a great experience but, I gave 3 stars because I felt the company could have resolved my last debt sooner. They tried to make more money from me instead of resolving the debt. I would recommend for someone with a larger debt.

By the time most of the accounts were settled, I owed more than when I started, and then I receive 1099’s for the amount I supposedly saved. This was not the way it was explained to me on the front end. I would not have signed up with this company had I known it worked this way, and will not recommend you to anyone.

Couldn’t get me a loan to get out of CC debt. You advertise that people can get a loan for CC debt then when you apply you deny. Saying my debt is too much…no ** it is. That’s why I need a loan to get out of CC debt you dumb **. You people are morons, communicating was horrible!

I enrolled in the program with the assurance that my debts would be settled in a timely manner. I was also assured that my final settlements would be less than my enrolled debt. While the first few accounts were paid quickly, the accounts with larger balances were not. I ended up paying more in than my original enrolled debt and had to remove an account because it was not being settled in a timely manner. I do not recommend this process.

I had some stuff that I wanted to get cleared up, so I tried Freedom Debt Relief out and I was very satisfied. I did it for 48 months and then it took care of my debt. The representatives were excellent and very professional. Any time I had a problem, I would call, and somebody was always polite in helping me. My payments were on the 12th, and sometimes my pay period was different and I had to move it like a week up, and they took care of it. Working with Freedom Debt Relief took care of those cards and stuff that I had. It's pretty good for me.

When I started FDR I had been paying the minimums on my credit cards for years - never seeing any drop in the principal total and being punished with fines if I was ever a minute late. My mailbox and voicemail was constantly pinging with reminders and harassments to pay this or that on time OR ELSE. If you're lucky, you'll start to realize that your desire to have things you can't readily afford has set you up to be taken advantage of by lenders and institutions lined up to give you the rope you need to hang yourself from their gallows. I have been very lucky that the one person I know of who had gone through FDR casually mentioned that I should do it. Not enough people know about FDR, apparently. In short - FDR saved me stress, grief, humiliation, harassment, and thousands of dollars over the five years it took me to go through the program.
During Covid I was often getting by on dollars. Paying to FDR was difficult at times, but I stayed with it, knowing that the alternative to seeing my debt going down, was to see it go up, and to be harassed and fined and threatened. I am graduating from FDR in 2 days. I couldn't be more grateful. I will never use credit again.
Sometimes when we want something we can't have, it's because we shouldn't have it. Changing my mind and my lifestyle has made me a different person - one more stable, more satisfied, and one less susceptible to falling victim to other people's schemes designed to take advantage of another person's unhappiness and dissatisfaction. Only 1 new deal so far in 2024. Everything else going as planned. No recent contact. Several accts have been cleared since opening my acct. Honestly I thought we would be much further along by this time but I guess it is what it is.
Updated on 09/15/2022: Very satisfied with the progress so far. Everyone at Freedom has been doing a great job working to get settlements on my outstanding balance for my credit cards. If anyone I know gets into a situation with credit I will my best referring this company to help them as they are helping me.

I'm making progress, yes but I have to say, when I signed on with FDR I was told I could expect to be debt-free in 2021...that's not proving to be true. And I didn't have any additional debtors added to my account to change anything.

My debts were negotiated over a 3 year period. I set up autopay for my payments and because they were settled over 3 years, I could spread the tax consequences out so that was very workable for me. I would recommend them to everyone - and I have!

I felt like Freedom Debt Relief was the best option I came up with. The service was consolidating my debts altogether and letting them reach out to my creditors to arrange settlements, I didn't have to deal with all that. This is a lengthy, dedicated and committed process. I've been in it for almost three years. This program worked exactly as it was advertised, and they are accomplishing the goal. We're about eight months away from total completion. They made my life a whole lot less stressful.

I have been paying them for years. Recently contacted them as I have paid them more than I currently owe. I contacted them to take the money, pay off the balance and refund the overage to me. They then went in, changed one agreement that had 1 payment left. I have paid 1150 a month for years. They pay like 60 dollar payment. Have almost 4,000 in my payments. Then they use my money to make money, rather than pay off the debt. Right now I am waiting for them to pay off the last 2 accounts. And refund the balance to me.

I thought they were going to try to resolve account before I got a letter from courts. Instead I had a summons given to me by the courts. I was very upset and embarrassed by the situation. No one called to tell me this was going to happen.

I’m nearing the end of my time with Freedom Debt Relief and it has changed the way I look at buying and spending. I used to put purchases on a card to get the points or the miles, thinking about all the bonuses I’d be getting, but not thinking about the accumulated interest I’d accrue on the balances. It got to be out of hand especially after my divorce and getting laid off. So I looked for a way out without declaring bankruptcy or asking for loans from relatives. I found Freedom Debt Relief after reading about ways to pay down debt and doing an online search. After I spoke with a counselor about my debt and how Freedom worked.
It would require trusting their negotiations and letting my credit cards go unpaid until a resolution was made. That was scary at first since I never had missed any payments and had excellent credit. It was rough gong for the first 3 or 4 months but soon I had my first settlement. I was notified by text and email and was able to accept it right from my phone. Whew. One down, four to go. I would get a settlement offer every 4-9 months so I knew they were working on negotiating with my creditors. I kept my part of the deal by making payments to my dedicated account (which were much less than what I’d have to pay all of my credit cards each month) and not paying anything towards those cards.
All through the process I was kept informed about what to expect and encouraged to stick with the program and not worry about my credit score since I knew I was responsible for the decline and I knew it would recover as I my debts were cleared. I learned a lot about my spending habits and how I could stay out of debt. It’s made me think carefully before deciding to buy. I’d recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone looking for a way out of debt, especially credit card debt. Listen to their methods and decide if you can deal with a moment of credit score drama in exchange for a lifetime of freedom from debt. I know it’s been worthwhile for me.

I just called regarding my one creditor. I was disappointed and not expected my situation about my creditor. I love how quickly they email me when they have a settlement for me and how easy it is to just have them take the money each payment so I don't have to think about it. I like that it's a separate type of money account that I don't notice so I won't be tempted to take any money out.

There was a lot of problems when I wanted to get a payoff amount for my final debt. I want to finish the program, but they are keeping me in the program without helping me finish things up, and the NLLG just left me in limbo when the person working on my case quit. One never got finished that had gone to mediation.

I'd say that this company has saved me thousands of dollars and even took care of a settlement that the debt collector was on the verge of suing me but FDR made a fast negotiation on my behalf and it will only take me 18 months to settle as long as I put money towards my dedicated account! Takes too long to resolved my debts. When I entered the program I expected maybe 24 months. It’s now going on 36 months and the money going to a law firm is a total waste of money because there were not any help to me.

I am paying less to company and giving the rest to Freedom of debt Settlement fees, Monthly check fees, etc. Yes I saved money but hardly anything. I should have contacted companies myself! I would not recommend this to anyone. Oh also you have to pay taxes on the savings in the end.

I also think their fees are way too high, for example, I just settled at $2400 debt for $1400, but they are charging $600 in fees. That’s not much of a savings. Needless to say, I’m not happy right now but I’ll stay with the program because now that I’m in it, it’s the only way I can go to resolve his last two accounts.

Was told my contract will not end until another 12 months and I advise that will add up to over 21,000 which would have illegal. My balance was less than that and how was I saving. Also if my account was being work on why didn't they know Bank of America brought my account back. I was told that only I could call the bank to see where it was sold to which I thought was your job.

About 7 years ago, my wife was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. She chose “Obama Care” even though I had BCBS and wanted her to stay with that. We had to move to a multi-licensed facility that was about $7k and often $10k per month. I had to quit work as even there, it was a 24/7 requirement. At the hospitals at various times, many things were not covered so I left credit cards everywhere. It was like an open tab at a CW Bar. For years, I was getting charge payment demands for a variety of charges. Finally, I collapsed under the weight and thought of BR, but, could not bring myself to do it. So, with a ton of debt, I went to FDR and after what seems like “forever” it was all finally paid off - at greatly reduced amounts without any harassments! Great work negotiating and consult with and for me!

I'm turning the company in for pulling money out of my account when there was none to be pulled out, now I'm 300 in the negative, disabled and not working....I called and asked for it not to be pulled out, and have it in text....and recorded....I was suppose to call back with a date for this to happen, and it happened without my say....

When resolving a debt, the fees charged by Freedom Debt ended up being almost equal to the amount saved off the original debt. Even after depositing 10,000 dollars into my dedicated account, freedom debt took a super long time resolving any outstanding debts.Would not recomend them to a friend and probably won't be using them Austin in the future.

You guys did nothing I couldn’t do myself. I been with the company since January and no settlement were made on my account. I would never recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone I know. It would be better to pay off your debts on your own and you’ll avoid unnecessary fees and headaches.

When I signed up I was told I would be done in 2020. It is 2022 and I am still paying. In the beginning I use to get offers to close my accounts from my creditors. Very good offers, but Freedom did not take advantaged of these offers. If they would have taken these offers I would have been done a long time ago. I think they keep you in the program longer to keep you paying. I gave a fair because they represented me in court, but then I had to pay extra for the lawyer.

Creditors do make offers to clients directly, but those offers do not always apply to FDR. We do charge a one time fee for each account that we settle, but that fee is only charged once and when and only when an account is settled and we have at least sent out one payment. I think the process is too drawn out. I think more than one customer should be worked on. If not more than 1 then pay off quicker by putting more on debt. Very kind people to work with. I think the fee I am seeing is excessive.

Settlements are dependent on accumulating sufficient funds in order to settle the debt and as long as we continue accumulating funds we should have no problems meeting your goals in realistic timeframes. Keep in mind that our settlement fees are bigger savings than having to pay your creditors the full 100% of the debt owed + interest % + any additional fees they charge. All of the FDR representatives from start to finish were excellent with explanations of things and helping with making the best decisions for me with regards for my health issues which have rendered me legally disabled. FDR constantly communicated the progress of negotiations with me.
