First of all, the people are very nice. No problems with the employees in terms of niceness. However. I called looking for loan consolidation, which I did not qualify for, and the very positive, cheerful rep told me about debt settlement, which I wasn't familiar with. Presenting it as sounding very rosy and smart. I quickly Googled the company, saw good reviews, and said ok. Thank God, according to the contract, you can cancel within 3 days, so after agreeing, I researched more, about debt settlement in general. Basically you stop paying all your debts, credit score tanks, get put in collections, possible lawsuits against you, potential wage garnishments, attorneys' fees, not to mention late fees racking up: the potential to end up with way higher debt. And difficulty ever getting loans again, even should your credit score actually recover. Then, there's the fact that creditors don't actually have any obligation to talk to these companies at all, or agree to settle.

I am getting my debt paid off years before I would have just making payments to the credit card companies. FDR got them to reduce and in one case totally forgive nearly 4 grand. If you are overwhelmed with credit card debt. Do not hesitate. FDR can take that weight off your shoulders.

I feel very confident in Freedom Debt to help me with all my debts. They have been very timely to Keep me informed about all my accounts. They do a wonderful job of reaching out to me about any information I need,

It’s too long the program... They talk me will be finish before. I’m very frustrated. I recommend somebody else. They already graduated. It’s too long I being pay like a car. For me never ending. I’m very sad. By the time it’s finished. Maybe I will not be around.

Everyone was so helpful and I had such peace of mind after I enrolled. I didn’t feel the weight of the world anymore. FDR communicated with me every step of the way. I have been happy with most of the reductions and payments have only changed a little. There's not much contact after the initial setup which I would have liked to make sure things are going as planned. The offers for a loan were not good enough to take because the interest rates were as bad as the card rate.

They have been very helpful in helping me with cleaning up my credit. I would recommend them to anyone who needs this kind of help. Customer service has been wonderful anytime I need anything like to defer a payment that’s all I do is call and they are very friendly and helpful.

I started with them around March 2021. Until now, May 2023, They have only negotiated 2 of my 6 debtors and said would probably take another 24 months. But Have paid themselves around $7k. To add insult to injury, they told me to stop paying on the acc’s otherwise they don’t have leverage to negotiate, tanking my credit from high 600 to low 500. Then about 3 months after I signed up with them, I get a call from one of their partners offering a loan for the balance of all the debt, so they can negotiate all of the debts immediately, however, that loan would be at over 22% interest.

Great service!!! Very professional and responsive. I know that if I continue to be consistent, my debt will decrease significantly in a reasonable amount of time. I’m definitely pleased with the services provided by -FDR. I will forward this information to my friends in the near future.

FDR helps me resolve most of debts. And the sooner you can make deposit into your account, the sooner FDR can schedule a negotiation for you. If you received any mail complaint, just upload them into your account and FDR will review and follow up with the creditor. Just make sure you stay alert and respond quickly to a negotiation resolution. So you can then authorize the negotiation when it is approved, that's it.

The program help eliminate debt over time. I am very satisfied with the results. The team worked to ensure that all debts were paid and completed within the projected time. The cost was much less. The program saved me over $5,000.

Freedom was very thorough with how they would do their program. My rep was very informative about everything and I felt safe with them. The program was scary at first. But it's been easy. They debit my account every month and it's the same thing. It gives a more organized feeling. The only thing is they keep moving my graduation date and I'm a little concerned with that. It was supposed to have been March of this year but then it went to May. Now, it's been moved to July and August.

I requested to go back to original payment plan due to personal reasons and they asked for more money due by 5/3 to not suspend a payment to creditor, so I sent it on 4/20. Lo and behold they suspended payment to creditor and told me I had to start over. I should’ve been done by Aug. 2026 (original date) and now they say by 2026. Find a PRIVATE consolidation company through an attorney like my friends have. I wish I knew this before contacting this company.

Great company and helps with debts and is concern about help you erase your debts so have really enjoyed my experiences with this company. I am able to afford a low monthly note that I can afford and help my credit get back on track.

I haven't really started my experience yet, as this question is being asked before my first deposit. I do need to call and ask why I cannot tell my creditors that I am working with FDR to pay them. You should include that information in your how to answer creditors tips.

I have just begun the program, so it is too early to tell in regard to how well it works. I did a Google search before I started in this program, got very high marks. Like anyone else, I’m a little nervous about dealing with creditors' phone calls and emails as well as the impact this is going to have on my FICO scores. We signed an agreement for a four-year plan. It's going to take about four and a half years and we're not happy about it. It's very disappointing to think we would be completed with this plan in four years and we're not going to be. This was supposed to be the last year and now it's halfway into next year.

So far I’m pleased with this service. I was at the end of my rope and didn’t really want to file Bankruptcy so I chose this. It seemed like the better choice at the time. Yes, Bankruptcy would have wiped the entire debt off but the Bankruptcy would’ve been on my Credit Reports for 10 years and I did not want that.

When I started with Freedom Debt Relief, it was kinda tough but as time went on, my debts were resolved and at this point, I may have just 1 more creditor to go!! I should be graduating from this program pretty soon and I am glad Freedom Debt Relief came my way!!

To be honest I don't really know how much debt I started with but I've noticed a lot of my deposits are going towards settlement fees rather than the debt and the actual settlements. I've deposited more than $3500 but my debt payoff is only around $700.

This has been somewhat good. Yes they did negotiate mate debt, yes they did make payments as recorded. However, they charged far greater than I was originally told, or signed agreement stated. I find I have been charged fees every month that do not go down but keep increasing. This is not good. My scores took a major crash then have been slowly returning. But only after the reported debt has been removed or derogatory note from the creditor has been recorded. At that I have had to place a note on my reports explaining the debt.

It has been a load off my shoulders. I’m paying my debt, but not having to decide who gets paid which week & not writing out checks. It takes a lot of stress away. Having them deal with the creditors & taking care of everything. The money comes out of my account each month. It’s like gone away. Very Thankful for this service.

FDR really helped me to solve my credit cards debt problem. At first, it didn't look very appealing and I even got annoyed that the process was too slow and lower-value debts were handled. Later, however, it turned out that this strategy made sense and now I am close (1 year) to the end of my repayments.

I have been with FDR for 3 years and only 1 more year to go. They have done everything that was discussed with me at the beginning of the program and I’m finally close to the end of paying off my debt which I had unfortunately allowed to be quite substantial. They communicate with you and update you on a regular basis. I don’t know what I would have done without them!

As hard as I tried to do this on my own, I was making no progress. I. Felt like I was walking backwards at times. I was very overwhelmed and frustrated. With their help I am done in November. It feels great to know I will be done.

I was told by FDR enrollment representatives that I needed to stop paying and build up for dedicated account. They would then negotiate settlements with smaller amounts because the dedicated account would have enough to pay those smaller amounts. Well they did the exact opposite. They settled my largest account so they could collect over $2K in settlement fees. I had a lawsuit brought against me. I sent in the forms, I uploaded the documents. They told me their law firm McCarthy Group would negotiate and handle those legal matters. Well Now my wages have been garnished because a $600 debt was not settled which they have known about for almost a year! My only saving grace was to consolidate these into a loan and pay them all off, which I have done. This company is a joke and a scam.

Very disturbing. All was going well, settled my first couple accounts, then hit a wall. I was taken to court and had a wage garnishment issued by 1 of the accounts, which Freedom would not resolve. Second issue, they were very quick to withdraw settlements fees on their own behalf, could have paid off other accounts much faster and had more money in my deposited account. Would not recommend dealing with them. Contact the accounts directly, they are more willing to work with you.

This is my first time consolidating. These groups of professionals are lifesavers, I struggle for 10 years trying to make all my payments on time and debt keep increasing. I felt lost, not moving forward at all. I talk about my experience to everyone I know. Thank you.

I think the program is great and everyone has been so nice and helpful, but the only thing that doesn’t get 5 stars is the fees that are charged. Monthly fees charged and your settlement fees are as much as the money they saved you. You aren’t really saving much unless you call your creditors yourself and try to negotiate your debt. I wish that they would try and settle as much debt as possible before they take their cut. Your program would fly by a lot faster.

Everyone has been very helpful. Whenever I send information from my creditors it is acknowledged in a timely manner. When I have a problem it is taken care of with consideration and empathy, I am happy with the way my credit has been handled. I am very pleased with Freedom Debt Relief

I came to Freedom Debt Relief with about $15k in debt and was completely overwhelmed by payments. With two consolidated payments per month, I am able to take back control of my finances and work towards long-term goals. FDR has not gotten good settlements, on average, as it pertains to the original enrolled debt. The settlements that FDR are negotiating for me, including the FDR fees, are well above 50% of the original enrolled debt. This is unacceptable and sad. Further, I have found that FDR is useless as it pertains to any creditor filing a lawsuit to recover the amount of the debt.

The service provided by FDR was phenomenal with amazing customer service and they were able to answer every question I had in a very detailed explanation so that there were not any questions unanswered or doubts to their capabilities. I would recommend to family and friends.

The cost for the program settlement to lawyer's was a unexpected amount to close my case. There was slow process for settlement. I got notice from NFCU in June 2022 it took FDR until March 2023 to take action. The lawyer was prejudicing, "you haven't pay yet. You probably won't have it within the next week."

The person I spoke with on setting up my debt relief plan stated that we would be done with the program and ready to buy a house in a very short time frame. 3 years later I am still working through the program and I am still a few years away from completion. Customer service is very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoy doing business with them and Freedom Debt Relief is a great service. I sure did need their help and would recommend the service to anyone that need help with their bills.

Freedom Debt Relief has really good customer service. They stayed in contact with me during the whole thing. Whenever I had a problem, I could talk to them about and they would fix the problem. I would reach out to them mostly through email. The people working with me acted like they knew what they were doing. I'm already three years into the program and I still have two more. Freedom has been outstanding. Working with them stopped all the creditors from calling me and that's quite a big impact. Talk to Freedom about your debt and see what kind of plan they can work out.

Freedom Debt Relief does the job. It helps get everything settled and I like their flexibility. They allow me to split my payment in half in a month, rather than doing it all in one payment. I'm getting my debts settled and I would be done now if it wasn't for COVID where I had to take some money out. But after that, I built it back up and it looks like I'll be done by the start of the year. It was easy making changes to the plan and I'm thinking about making another change now to spread my payments out a little bit.

When I signed up and was accepted, I felt a great relief off my shoulders. Juan was very nice and helpful. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and be helpful. It's nice to have these people help me with my debt.

It's been wonderful with Freedom Debt Relief. Within 10 minutes of the conversation, they said there would be no problem, that they could help me and set me at ease. They took over and told me what to tell the creditors if any of them calls. They're top notch. What's so nice about it is I don't have to talk to them often. Within the three years I've been with them, I might have talked to them twice. Everything was done on paper with my creditors. When I had a question and called customer service, they were very nice. They didn't treat me like a stranger. They're working on my last one right now and I'm almost finished. I love it. They are consistent. They're helping. I never got anything bad from any of my creditors, and now my credit score has soared back up again. I've been at peace for three years with Freedom Debt Relief.

They are helpful and make sure you understand every part. As you go through the process they help keep you on track. There's never a what do I need to do next. They handle everything after you get them what they need.

FDR has been easy to work with. They have a good staff. They explained everything relatively clearly in terms of what their service was and what my responsibilities would be. They also deliver what they promise. The program's definitely worked. I've been able to negotiate some debt that I've owed. I've been relentless and disciplined in making sure that I keep the account fully financed to slowly do it. It's just taken a little longer than I thought it would. But we're getting there and we're almost done. The only thing that I didn't like was when they said, "Don't pay any more partial payments. You gotta let it expire and then we'll go in and negotiate the settlement."

The reps very quickly got everything together and came back with numbers, and they were very organized. The program worked very well and we’re just about paid off. Working with Freedom Debt Relief helped us get some of our stuff taken care of and back on track. They're a very easy company to work with and has very good service.

This process was hard for me to engage with at first because I am very conscientious about paying everything on time. I was careful about what I enrolled. Kept some of my oldest credit accounts intact to keep reporting positive and docs in. My scores were pretty low through the process but increased quickly at the end. I am back in the “good range” and saved so much in interest as well as principal in predatory loans.

About a year later I found out that the account I thought was paid in full because you stopped taking money out of my bank account was in fact not paid. You did not notify me when payment was stopped of any problems in getting money from my bank account. True my phone number changed but you failed to contact me by mail. I see no excuse for this. I am very disappointed in your handling of my account.

I am very pleased with how quick the settlement process is going. I am especially appreciative of the access to legal help when someone filed a claim. Not only did the lawyers jump right on it, they settled without having to go through a long drawn out battle. I highly recommend this company.

FDR has been with me every step of the way, yes they charge a fee but well worth the money and time. My credit has slowly increased up and negotiations have great by FDR, I would definitely recommend their service to anyone in need of help with their financial situation.

I can only give a fair review at this time only because I haven’t seen much activity from you. When will you start to pay these credit cards off? I haven’t seen any activity from you only when I first payment is due and to make sure the funds are there.

I’ve been very pleased so far. They have done exactly what I expected them to do. They are easy to work with and available if you need to talk to them. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

So far my experience with FDR has been excellent and I would recommend them to my friends who are having debt problems and need some help. Great customer service and outstanding follow-up with all billing companies and with careful communications with each billing company talked to and agreed settlement offers and amounts in which payments has been made to my satisfaction. To which I am so happy with the service given and will continue to use your services whenever I find myself having too many bills to keep track of making payments.

I hate this program, all they do is take your money and you end up paying way more money for your debt. They don’t help you with any of your problems. I would not recommend for them to anyone. It's if they don't care!!!

Updated on 01/24/2024: Ever since I started with Freedom Relief program about a year ago they had been getting me settlement plans and they have been very reasonable. The people of very nice, very kind and they don't talk down to you. They literally help you.. They send you email once a month to let us know where we're at when they make a settlement they email you and they also text you.

Very happy with the progress FDR has made on my debt. It went faster than I expected and the settlements made were very good. Everyone that I spoke with were very professional and knowledgeable, I was kept well informed of all settlements made.

I was excited to have help getting myself back out of the hole I ended up in. When everything was explained it was made to sound like I would be able to afford my bills and the payment and I am finding that I have a -300 budget while buying only the basics in food and borrowing money for gas until I can find a second job. I am added up my new budget and it was not in line with what was proposed even though I input all my details correctly. Feel like I am still very much stuck in a hole.

I was so glad when I found FDR and the man I spoke with provided me peace of mind and instant relief. I should have known better. What other people have said is true. I just got off the phone with a representative from "Leadership" (and I use that term loosely!). I thought a supervisor would be able to help me better, and boy was I wrong.! I told them that I couldn't afford my $724 last month and reduced it to $600. I continually receive messages telling me that my program is in jeopardy! What I heard told to me multiple times on the phone when I signed up is that FDR takes their fees LAST... which is total crap. I am told that I don't have enough money in my account because of my shortfall because FDR took THEIR MONEY!!! So far, they've taken more than I've made in settlement payments!

Graduation date, I was Told from the start that it would take a couple years two years. Well now I am three or four years into it and still have two years left to go it makes no sense to me. I’ve spent over $11,000 so far and I’m not even halfway there? My dept was only 25,000 to begin with? I only make 900 a month and I’m giving you 1/2 of it. Three more years would be Over 15,000 more which is more than my original debt.

I’ve been able to pay off my debts and get my credit score up, couldn’t be happier. Would recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone who is overwhelmed with credit card debt. They definitely fight to get your balance down and all you have to do is pay your monthly agreed payment. Thank you.

If you need to skip one month’s payment, be honest with yourself and with FDR. Make sure you speak with them at least 3 or Perhaps 5 days in advance before the due date, otherwise skipping a payment cannot be done. Unfortunately, I had to skip an occasional payment, and FORTUNATELY, FDR was always there for me.

FDR has taken the load off my mind with one payment a month. I don't have to deal with banks and bill collectors and hassle over settlements. I ran my debts up but am paying them off in an easy manner and hope I learned my lesson with using my credit cards.

The program at Freedom Debt Relief took some time, but it wasn't difficult. It was just very time-consuming.
