Upon initial perception it's a great service. Come to agreement on your part with credit companies to settle the debt for approx 50% which is essentially the same amount every time, never went under. To then begin "building funds" to pay in settlements. The catch is that in a $2,500 debt, that is settled for $1,250, you pay approx $1,000 for the service they provide to settle with the creditor. So in essence, you "settle" for half but end up paying for the full or close to full debt which you would paid anyways. To this add the fact that the debt has to be in extremes for them to even have an effect. So the end results in your credit taking an unnecessary hit. If you manage the same principle they of settling one debt at a time, on your own, you can settle your debt and probably pay it in full in the same amount of time or sooner. In my opinion, not very effective.

Freedom was very easy to work with. They explained the process very well and were 100% honest about how it would work. Everyone was professional. It wasn't easy but I'm done and my credit score started going back up within months of completion.

Enrolling was very easy. I felt comfortable with questions I asked. Every aspect of the program was explained completely. I would recommend this program to others. I will be out of debt faster using this program than what I was doing.

This was a first time experience for me. The people were always so nice and not judgmental. They kept you in the loop at all times. The monthly payments were at a rate that you could make them. I have really just begun... One payoff was accepted. I know it will take time. My only issue was that I don't feel the amount Freedom charges per account (ie. the percentage rate) was explained quite clearly. But I would like to compliment your staff. Not happy was placed with judgments. Was taken to court pressured to come up with more money to pay into program. Do not recommend this institution to anyone. Very disappointed was never told this would happen. Not happy with outcome. Had to take out a loan to resolve debt or talk to credit card company directly. Was paying fees to this company for nothing. Only resolved a few cards. I would never use this company again.

I had thought that when we signed up for this program they FDR would handle most things with the creditors. I went to court 2 times, and on one debt settled the account myself. Barring that issue the program helped us. I keep very good records pertaining to what FDR did with the money, one customer service rep got very hateful with me because I disputed her numbers, turns out I was right. Keep good records, ask a lot of questions prior signing up, read all documentation. The attorneys they have on staff may help some, but if they are called to court on your behalf it is my understanding you are responsible for certain expenses they incur. Bottom line if you can settle your debts without FDR you will be money ahead. FDR can help depending on your debt amount. Overall I am glad we did use FDR, but be prepared for some debtors to come after you nonetheless.

Convenient way to reduce my debt, twice monthly withdraws were helpful. Minimum payments were best for my situation. Less stress this way. No more need for credit cards. I refer people to Freedom Debt Relief weekly, mention the way they helped me. Sometimes it's the only way to get out of credit card debt.

Freedom Debt Relief helped to get out of debt within 2 years, I don't remember exact dates. I was in almost 40,000 dollars of debt. After they help me I owed less the 20,000 dollars. Disappointed with getting different answers every time I called in. Also, no serious action was taken on majority of accounts until AFTER I received court orders to appear in court for a lawsuit. I could never talk to same person when I called in. Got tired of telling my life story every time I called in & spoke with a new person. I was told by Mary when I initially applied that your company did NOT handle medical bills. So it was not included in my package. Yet every time I called in after my account was set up, I was advised that the medical account was still open & pending settlement.

Freedom Debt Relief has and is a wonderful experience for me. It is wonderful to not have to worry about bill collectors and how credit cards are going to be paid. Had to keep calling them to get the collectors off our backs... After we were done with our payments and everyone was supposed to be satisfied still had some of the companies calling and sending collection letters. They did finally take care of it but it took quite a few phone calls to get it done.

Everything went smoothly at the beginning and through the whole process until the end. Freedom continued to take payments from my checking account for months after all of the payments were completed. It was very hard to cancel the payments and get the funds replaced in my checking account. I had to speak with a lot of customer service reps and it took lots of time.

Back in 2012 my husband and I started building our first home. Well what a nightmare it was. We had extra expenses that the contractor didn't quote us in our contract. That's when it all started with having to use my credit cards. We got over our head with the monthly payments and our income not being adequate to cover them. In 2013 I received information from Freedom Debt Relief and joined the program and what a relief that was.

They took too long to offer a settlement and the bank took me to court and won a settlement for the full amount. I was forced into bankruptcy after giving them a lot of money. I could have just filed bankruptcy in the first place. A total waste of time and money.

We have been satisfied with the program, except that we have to talk to quite a few different people every time we call. I prefer to talk with same person, i.e., the person who enrolled us. He always has to redirect us to other agencies. Then that agency states that I do not have to talk to him anymore. He is completely out of the picture.

Didn't know I had to let my credit suffer and turn awful before the program would actually begin. My credit score has suffered as a result of trying to make my debt go away. I'll be glad when I complete this program as I would not do this again... I'm grateful for the help but not at my credit's expense...

Great way to get debt free by a set date. I personally have had a great experience with Freedom Debt Relief. I can't think of a thing I'd change except when I added an existing account back, going from 212 per month to 230, seemed a little excessive to me considering the balance amount had not changed but my payment went up 18$ per month.

This was a very good decision for me at the time I needed the help. I converted my account to a loan which was only available after I had been in the program for approximately 1/2 the suggested time even though solicited to me at the beginning. I am happy with the results although I would have preferred it not take so long to complete the program and a higher settlement percentage.

The program they offer is a great solution if you are drowning in credit card debt or hospital bills. I was to the point of using credit cards to pay credit cards with no relief in sight. I signed up for this program because I read lots of great reviews and was happy with the initial representative I spoke to. But I was promised a lot of things that didn't happen. First off, I was told that my debt owed would be cut by at least 40%. It was not. The first couple of credit cards had good settlements, but I kept asking them to not settle the smaller amount cards first, but to wait for my balance to accrue enough to settle the larger balance cards first (Visa and Discover). I kept being told, "No problem, we can do that," but then the next thing I knew they had made a settlement on one of the smaller cards again.

The staff at Freedom was very friendly and helpful and was very easy to get started on the program. It was the best decision! My debt of 21 thousand was resolved in just under 2 years. And our credit scores are not low either.

Overall, I am satisfied and did accomplish debt resolution. My only concern is that my credit score took much more of a hit than I was expecting. It is now on the mend and I am better off than I was. However, I had never been late on a payment and had to endure that stigma in order to move forward with debt reduction. Totally on me, I did not know the questions I needed to ask.

I had to call 2 months in a row to request the service to be expedited. And was told twice that they would do it and they never did. So I withdrew my bank and paid them off myself. When I first signed up with Freedom Debt Relief, I asked them how they make their money. Obviously, they're not going to provide a service for free. There are some expenses I think should have been made known to the consumer. The National Debt Relief loan had an interest rate that was not at all commensurate with what is being paid on savings accounts. It was less than the approx. 29% interest rates I had been charged on the credit cards on which I'd had debt, but NDR was charging over 20%, which is still usury and thus delayed me reaching my goal of being debt-free.

Awesome experience! The agents were knowledgeable about the program and my options. The portal is the best tool. I could talk to a person day or night. This program has helped me to turn my life around financially and I'm truly grateful.

When I would contact someone they would never answer my questions. On one of my accounts they stalled on doing anything until just before my contract time was up just so they could renew my contract and collect more money from me! I think that is intentional and the way they operate. I would never recommend them to anyone and would never use them again!

I wish we would have been advised that American Express does not work with debt consolidation companies. I was extremely embarrassed to be served with a lawsuit due in front of my neighbors for nonpayment of this account. Not to mention, the inconvenience of having to go to the Bexar County Courthouse to file paperwork to show that I am making payments in order to pay off this account on my own.

Poor follow up if any! Too difficult to get actual status. Very few reps were honest, giving boilerplate answers. Too deceptive re available assistance. Too willing to say not within scope, while wife was getting the exactly the same type of request fulfilled.

This program is not a gimmick. I had a credit score of 758 and had never made a late payment on anything in my life. However, a change in my life situation made it very difficult to manage month to month after paying all my bills. Once I enrolled in the program, it was really hard to just stop making payments. In the end though, everything worked out and my debt was cut in half. Just be sure to buy the legal coverage for $12 a month - this will provide you with more peace of mind during the process.

They were very helpful every step of the way. From contacting creditors to paperwork. I was always able to get a hold of my credit counselor via email or phone. It was a relief to finally get out of debt. I would recommend them to anyone who was serious about getting out of debt.

Unwilling to step-up and be seen, if not for the phone, I'd never know a human was doing anything, for, I had to be the one to handle the court's. No one from Freedom ever helped personal, legally face to face, what was to take 33 months turned into 49months, I'd say, if not for my personal action's I'd still be waiting. They worked, as long as there was no work to be done on their part, done is done. Hopefully nothing will happen to change the ending of the account, with the clearing of these account. Never did get anything from freedom saying the account was closed or something along that line... Only God Knows.

I did everything right. They started taking payments out of my checking account the day I signed up. After 15 months of payments, a process-server showed up at my door. I was being sued by two of the companies that they were supposed to be working with! I was furious. Needless to say, customer service was no help. I finally got a personal loan (which I should have done before I tried this horrible company) and was able to stop both lawsuits. NO THANKS TO FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF. I am so upset with this company. They could not even provide me with a clear accounting of all the money in/out of my account. Please do yourself a favor and do not do business with them. They still cannot account for $1500 that was debited from my bank account. And they won't help me, I've emailed at least 10 different people, and no one will help. AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN.

FDR did not follow through with started goals. Worst thing I have ever done in regards to my finances and end result is I am worse off than before. It was only a method to get me in a loan program with super high interest rates and my credit score is still hosed.

Had a good experience with the debt consolidation. With a large amount of debt it was paid off within 4 years with no problems. I did have some issues with the IRS but they are being worked out at this time.

I was raised to believe that Bankruptcy was just not done! So I went with FDR. Positive: Customer Service extremely helpful with any issues and resolution. Negative: DON'T DO IT!!! I was sued by 3 of the six credit companies. So if you're going to take this route, include the legal representation. I was lucky! I inherited enough $$$ to pay all my debts off (through FDR) shortly after enrolling with FDR. But the final insult was when I received a 1099C (Cancellation of Debt - considered income) which added about $2k to the amount owed the IRS.

I am just starting the program, so can't really give an experience yet about resolving my debt, but so far the interaction with them has been great and helpful. It took about a year to complete the steps, but I am in a better financial situation as a result of their service. I am a satisfied customer.

I found it difficult reaching out to someone that could help me at the end and to go over status of my account but maybe because I had paid Freedom some larger sums of money at one point might have messed things up somewhat. Overall I was happy with the work Freedom performed.

From the beginning your representatives have been very thorough and professional. I was very tentative with the initial process, however I trusted the process and made it through the tough part. My unsustainable debt payments were consolidated and my Credit rating went from 690 down to 520, now after 1 1/2 years in the program my TransUnion and Equifax are at 720! I hope to have my debt paid off by next December. The only issue is that there is no information which I can get from FDR to assist with ideas to rebuild my credit.
