I have been with Freedom Financial for 3 months. The first two weeks they got me a settlement from $6,000 to $2,300 on one credit card. Yesterday they got my second settlement from $12k to $6k on a personal loan. I have never been happier with any company in my entire life! My experience with FDR has been a good experience so far. I have been with them not quite a year but they have already started to pay off my biggest creditor which I appreciate and they have my other creditors stop contacting me. Everything is working out very well. In fact, it has worked out so well; I was able to add a little more to my account to maybe have my creditors paid off a little earlier. Thank you FDR.

I thought the process of arranging payoff amounts would happen quicker. I know I can add to my monthly amount to pay off sooner, however the current amount of stretching it. I am hoping to retire as soon as this is all done.

In the beginning everything was very good. I was happy with the service being provided and the terms of two settlements they were able to get. Then in mid-December 2016 I called and asked them to remove one of the debts. They say no problem. They sent me a new written agreement. I was thrilled to see that my monthly payment to FDR was reduced by half. I signed the agreement and sent it back on Dec. 16, 2016. But FDR did not honor that agreement. They debited my account for the previously agreed to amount rather than the new amount. I called on January 3, 2017 around 9:30 in the morning and talked to someone for about 25 minutes. She was nice but seemed confused. I asked her to call me back when she figured everything out because I was at work. She said okay but no one called me back that day.
So, I call back again January 4, 2017. And after a lot of being put on hold and the rep hemming and hawing and consulting with her supervisor, she tells me the new agreement was a typo and my monthly payment would remain the same. I said "whoa, wait a minute. We have a signed written agreement for one amount. That agreement supersedes what was agreed before. You can't just take double of what was agreed in writing." The rep tells me that "yes, FDR has to take double than what was agreed or else your settlement agreements will be voided." I tell her that I should not be penalized for FDR's mistakes. I ask for a supervisor. Eventually she transfers me to Juan.
Juan sticks to what the rep says and tells me they have to take the double amount. I keep going back to the signed written agreement. Juan interrupts me constantly. CONSTANTLY. I have to tell him repeatedly that I'm the customer and he needs to let me talk. He continues to act like the agreement should just be disregarded because it was a "minor typo." FDR that is not okay. An agreement is an agreement. You can't just decide to ignore it because of a typo.
I am appalled by the response of your employees. This is my money we're talking about. My money that I'm trying to budget carefully. How dare you take double than what was agreed and then tell me that even though I signed it, it was a mistake and you don't have to adhere to it. They're sending me a corrected agreement. But THIS IS NOT OKAY. NOT OKAY AT ALL. I am disgusted as the way your employees responded to this issue.

I've been going through some tough times in my life and one of the items I would not have been able to tackle on my own is my debt. With FDR, I was so happy to hear that they were able to assist me in my situation. This will take a lot off my shoulders. Tasha was very prompt with any news from the Underwriters. What normally takes a day or two to get a response, it only took FDR a few hours to respond back with their approval. I would definitely recommend FDR to my Friends and Family.

Freedom debt relief gave me the confidence of proceeding with the proposed plan for debt reduction and negotiation of debt with creditors. Very helpful in trying to resolve my debt! Helped relieve the unbearable pressure that I was encountering trying to keep all the phone calls from debt collectors at a minimum! FDR resolved some of the debt (lowered amount owed) very quickly.

I was very misled with this organization. I was told it would take 4-6 months to get my credit settled. What they fail to tell you is that only one card is approved right away. It has been almost a year and only 3 out of my 6 cards are settled. Had I known this, I would never have gotten into this program.

I had a really great experience with Angelica, my debt consultant today. She was kind, empathetic, patient, understanding, and really listened to me as I told her my story of how I ended up in this financial hole I dug myself in. She was encouraging and affirmed me when I broke down and began to cry because I was so overwhelmed with my situation. FDR is helping me with getting out of crushing debt that was literally damaging my health because of the stress I was going through. Three of my credit cards were maxed out due to emergency expenses and the fourth was on its way. I have been able to pay off one of the cards at a reduced rate and am working on another payoff now. I was never informed that I would be charged $9,000 for your services. I ended up owing almost as much as my debt was. I really wish I had gone with a consolidation loan instead. At least my credit would not have been trashed, and I would not have had to change banks.

I called to get advice on what to do about the SUMMONS that was served to me by AMEX for my debt. It was too late to involve the attorneys that I had paid for, so I got advice from the Customer Service Representative Jacob. He told me my options for resolving this matter. I was able to use his advice to get in contact with the law firm, and file an ANSWER to the County Clerk's office within the specified time. I will be resolving this matter outside of FDR and was told, therefore, that there would be no service charge for that account. Jacob was very helpful.

Was told when contacted by your rep that I would receive regular updates on where you were regarding the negotiations with the creditors. Never was contacted regarding the status of my account. Only info was on dashboard which contained no details only BIG picture overviews on account. I removed one of the debts from the list that needed to be settled, it was settled in court by my former partner who never advised me that this was taking place. It amounted to approx. 50% of the total that your firm was working on for me. I called to ask how the reduction in time and work required would affect my fee and time frame. No one could answer and I have never heard from your company regarding this issue and it has been months.

I only been in the program since March 2016, so it's early to make a judgment I guess. I just know that I've paid every month and made one extra payment. It just this just seems like nothing gets done. I make the payments and when somebody threatens to sue then litigation starts. One payment was settled a little higher because of the threat of litigation and then the negotiator gets 21%. Therefore there is no incentive for the rate to be lower. Then please take them right off the top so it takes a long time to build up more money for the next payment until of course she get sued. And of course my credit it ruined. Only one of my debts is been settled. I am presently being sued. Besides these two, I have three other debts that haven't even been touched. I am scared. I don't know if enrolling in this program was a good idea, but I'm in too far to turn back. In all fan is in a year I might give you a glowing report. This is where I am right now.

We are not all comfortable with our decision. Apparently, my husband and I did not truly understand how the process worked. We were told it could take 4-6 months for all creditors to be contacted but only one has been contacted thus far and this has been since 8/1. We thought that FDR would contact all creditors by now. One of the creditors, Fifth Third is now contacting my husband via his employer. The interest and late charges on the 2 largest account are accumulating at a very quick rate which will add considerably more debt than we started with.

I closed my account on November 11th and was supposed to receive a check of $419.00. The person who closed my account Titrail asked if my account on file was a good account to send the $419.00 to. I stated this account is going through bankruptcy and it was not a good account to credit my refund to. Titrail stated he would mail me back a check for the amount due of $419.00. I called 2 weeks later to check on my status of my account and was told it was already credited to my account on file. This was the account that was going through bankruptcy, and I which I was told I would be receiving a check in the mail. Titrail did not know the policy and sent for my account to be credited instead of a check being sent out.
I was told that I would receive my amount of $419.00 by Titrail and he would get with his supervisor and send me out a check since it was him who screwed up the process which did not allow me to receive my refund. After weeks of calling I was connected with Liana ** on December 12th. Liana assured me I would get my refund back and her and Titrail would work together to get me the refund owed. This never happened; apparently Liana was out of the office for 2 weeks and nothing got moved along to a supervisor as promised.
I called today 12/27/16 to speak with a supervisor (Natasha) and was told since the account on file accepted the money Freedom Debt Relief was not going to give me the $419.00 owed to me. Not only was Natasha rude but she acted like Freedom Debt Relief did me a favor since the bankruptcy account was no longer as negative as it once was. I have a problem with this because I was told I would receive a check of $419.00 which never happened; and since Freedom sent out the money to the account which they weren't supposed to I am out $419.00 now which was promised to me. Titrail was not trained correctly and processed the refund incorrectly. Freedom Debt Relief will not give me the money owed.

I believe this organization is actually trying to help me with this debt. They are always there for me. I have called for advice and my adviser has the answer. I think my debt will get resolved through perseverance. I wish the calls would stop but there must be suffering until it is over.

Its only been a few months and 2 debts have been settled and the 3rd is in process. Very happy with services provided and I'm going to see this through till all of these debts are settled. I have been with Freedom for a few months. I have been very satisfied. They negotiated a loan within a month and I will have it paid in a few months instead of a few years. Customer service has been very good. You can try to do this on your own but with the help of Freedom knocking off half of the loans it helps.

Dealing with a load of debt since my separation. FDR has been thorough in explaining the program and I'm just starting but already feel like I am in good hands! My counselor, Lloyd, was professional and personable. He is always quick to answer questions.

Unfortunately I would have joined this program had I been disclosed accurately how my accounts were going to be settled. I was told after 90 days all accounts would be reached for settlement therefore limiting the derogatory exposure to a minimum. Well that's nowhere near what is happening. Only two accts have been handled but still not paid out of the 20 accts as my credit goes to ** and will continue to do so for most likely another 2 yrs leaving me unable to move, or hut anything. DON'T DO IT!!!!!

All the agents I've dealt with have been knowledgeable, reachable and helpful. The "dashboard" feature doesn't provide enough detail. Users of this service should know the impacts of credit score tanking – open accounts may cut you off, lower available credit.

My first point of contact was Guy **. He was a true professional, very much proactive and was concerned about me. I contacted him on more than one occasion, and he would also reach out and call me to check my progress. He deserves the highest praise. However, the rest of my 'ride' was not as good. I never talked to the same person twice and had to beg for information. I am now in C-plus. Time will tell.

It amazed us that a few "free Interest for 3 years" credit accounts, opened to prepare a house for sale, could spin so hopelessly out of control. I was up to my ears in debt. I checked & found that Freedom had the best bbb rating. I called them for help. They said that consolidation was the best route. Bankruptcy keeps you in a credit hole for years. I joined as a customer. It was back in June, on my birthday in August. They settled my first debt. Nice present. They also sent me a 20 page birthday card. Now it's December. They settled a second debt that will be paid off in June. They have a long way to go as I have about 11 more creditors. Freedom said that in four years I'll be credit free. Before I made minimum payments, half went to interest, half to purchase. Thank GOD for Freedom.

After having incurred some very high and unexpected expenses, we found ourselves in dire straits and not knowing what our options were. We knew we didn't want to do bankruptcy but didn't know what else to do. Other Debt Consolidation Companies were not able to help as much as we needed. Only FDR stepped up to help us out. I was not optimistic about seeing debt settlement results in the beginning of the program and had a different idea on how the settlements were obtained and settled. The customer support team was fantastic in handling any question I had and advising me on how to handle creditors and any threatening correspondence. At this point I couldn't be happier with the way my account has been handled. This company and their employee's are great and I believe they go the extra mile for you. When I got way in over my head with credit cards, I didn't know what to do. Just by chance I received a letter in the mail about Freedom Debt Relief. I was very scared in the beginning and didn't know what to do. My debt would take 30 yrs to pay off with minimum payments. I've been with them for less than a year and have two cards paid off already. Before every payoff I received a notice of the pay off amount, agree on it and that's it. Every month my payments go to that bill until done. I almost had to file for bankruptcy, my son died in June and it just threw us into a tail spin. Freedom Debt Relief made it so I could pay my bills off without doing that. I wish more people knew about it, it would help them tremendously.

Tasha was amazing this morning. I had a long night at work, I've been super stressed about all my credit card debt, and then I spoke to Tasha **. She had a friendly tone and seemed down to earth. I felt she was understanding and non-judgmental, as I spewed all my dirty laundry on how I got in this position in the first place. I started by filling out a brief questionnaire which was surprisingly easy and then I received a call from Tasha, and in less than 5 min into the conversation she was able to pull up all my credit card debts and find a solution that I can live with. The worse experience of my life! Freedom Financial did not assist me in resolving any debt, but managed to steal over $5,000 of my hard earned money that could have and should have gone to resolving my debt. None of their associates ever reached out to any of my registered creditors to negotiate on my behalf! I negotiated solely on my own despite multiple attempts over many months urging them to please contact my creditors. Each time I made a request I was refused assistance. Constantly told I needed to deposit more money in order for them to negotiate. When I made additional deposits Freedom Financial associates continued to deny me negotiation assistance on my behalf with my creditors. However once I alone negotiated my own settlement with my creditor Freedom Financial charged me a settlement percentage claiming they were successful in settling my debt. That was a huge lie!
They made NO ATTEMPT to call, write or in anyway reach out to my creditors. All negotiations that occurred I did alone WITHOUT ANY assistance from any Freedom Financial representative. My recommendation to anyone with debt is to work directly with your credit card company or companies and not bother with a company such as Freedom Financial. They will do nothing more than steal from you and lie to you. In fact I cancelled service with them and requested that they NEVER reach out to me or contact me in any manner whatsoever again for any of their services since they failed to provide me with debt settlement services as promised by failing to even once reach out to my creditors to negotiate any settlement. Now they are contacting me for a review, so here it is. They are frauds. Thieves and liars. Beware consumers!
My recommendation is to delete any and all offers from Freedom Financial. They Do Not provide the services they claim. They will not necessarily resolve your debts. The only way they will resolve your debt is if you deposit with them AT LEAST HALF of what you owe your creditors. And if your creditors serve you with a lawsuit for what you owe, Freedom will not help you whatsoever. They will still collect from you, but offer you NO NEGOTIATION ASSISTANCE. Yet if you settle your debt directly with your creditors and you have not dis-enrolled your accounts to be settled, Freedom will still charge you a huge percentage on your enrolled debt and claim that they acted on your behalf even though you settled your own debt with your creditors directly. Freedom Financial is a scam. They should be shut down for fraud.

Was promised to help resolve my debt problem in a timely manner. Every time I received communication from creditors, I contacted Freedom and they assured me everything would be ok...they would take care of it! I was sued by one creditor for the entire amount along with lawyers fees. I was told by the creditor that if they would have been contacted in a reasonable amount of time, they would have negotiated our amount owed and never would have been taken to court. The other debt took over a year to settle and we only saved a small portion of what was originally owed.
We started out owing $23,000 and now owe over $26,000! I do not believe Freedom has their clients best interests in mind and their advertisements are false! They estimated my payback would be between $13,000 to $17,000. Really? I have been sued and not owe more than when I started! My credit has been totally destroyed and I am on the verge of being bankrupt! I have talked to other individuals that have had similar experiences with Freedom and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone...ever! If they don't compensate me for their fraud...we are considering taking them to court in the near future.

FDR has been an awesome company to work with to help me reduce and soon eliminate my debt. They assisted me on how to handle the creditors, and also kept me abreast on the legal aspects of debt collections. I certainly would recommend FDR to anyone needed that type of service.

When I started this program I was hesitant because I knew the good credit that I had was about to be destroyed, but I had to start over in order to lower my debit ratio. I have bigger plans for the future and this had to be done. So far this program have freed up two debits that would have took me about 3 to 4 years to pay off and they did it in a matter of months. Should try to make the creditor move faster especially when there enough funds to pay for something because tired of getting phone call all the time. The phone call are getting really bad. At this point not really satisfied for what going on in getting rid of. So far only 1 been taking care of.

Freedom Financial fails to provide customer service. When I communicated with them that I needed to skip a weekly payment, they went ahead and withdrew the money from my account, causing my account to be overdrawn. When I cancelled my account, Freedom Financial went ahead and withdrew the next payment from my account. I have yet to receive my money. If I do not receive my money this week, I am going to hire an attorney and go after Freedom Financial for stealing money from me.

This company is doing great at negotiating lower interest rates as well as pay offs. They also keep me updated on my progress of paying off my debts. I called to see about what it took to cancel and when she asked me why she was telling me reasons why I shouldn't. I was at the point where this lady Tammy wasn't going to help me so I asked for a supervisor. She stated the next person will tell me the same thing. She put me on hold and I called my lawyer to find out some things before I did cancel. She took it upon herself to call me back and tell me she cancelled me from the program without my ok. I called back and there was nothing they could do. I would have had to fill out paperwork again while the cancellation went through. This lady Tammy cancelled me without my ok. If she would have listened to what I had to say instead of trying to talk me out of it she would have realized what I was asking but her attitude had me really frustrated!

Nov. 11, 2016 was the date account was transferred to Consol-Plus Loan. I lost job on 10-21-16 due to call outs on other employees and situations on road involving a CMV. Now my wife is now being harassed and pinned with fees and interest. Everyone states of helping, but it is not the truth. Going Chapter 7 should be the way since everyone was quick for the money. Once I have viable employment, payments can be done, but FDR already transferred the account. NICE.

It depends on who I speak to for answers. I have sent copies of Welcome package (by fax) and it seems that they are never received by certain reps. I have had to resend so many forms that this really disturbs me and make me wonder if my debt is really being taken care of. I was told that my debt would be resolved in 2018, I am now wondering if this is the case.

I had come to the end of my rope and no one was there to help me. I got online and was trying to find a way and got a call from FDR. I was skeptical at first but soon realized this was a way out of the horrible hole I had dug for myself and the more I learned, the better I felt. Because my husband and I are retired and on a fixed income, our means of responsibly eliminating our debt was severely limited. This debt did not grow out of thoughtless spending or indulgences...it was mainly comprised of major repairs, health emergencies, and other unforeseen obstacles that were actually accrued "prior" to retirement. I haven't been happy with the process. In 10 months 1 loan has been worked on. Don't know where my money is going because it is not in my account. Haven't heard when you are going to settle anything else. Looks like you are take 50% of what I'm sending in and I don't know what for.

We have been using their services for a couple of years now and debts are finally being negotiated and paid. Some for 10% below what we owe, others for 50% but it is a slow process. Just to be safe, they offered us access to a lawyer to help if a company decides to litigate against us. The fine print was that if your other debts are being negotiated and you have someone begin litigation against you, that they can't do anything about the litigation (for payment to the company) except get offers that would charge you additional money - which makes no sense because you are using a debt relief program for the financially needy.
If I had thousands of dollars to pay off my debt, I would not need to use a debt relief program. So unfortunately, we have been paying for these lawyers that can't do anything for us. Now have a litigation with a company that is refusing to settle with Freedom and still dealing with debt calls. They warn you about the calls, and they make you sign things that state this is all a possibility, but it is frustrating with the additional service being so useless.
We appreciate the feedback and apologize if information was not relayed properly. We are committed to informing our clients the way the program works in multiple conversation before enrollment is completed and will assure we improve based on your comments.

If you, as a company don't change your policy when you negotiate any customer's debt and pay it in full before you took money away you will have a lot of people withdrawing from this program like we did. Besides that, I feel that your company abuse the financial situation the customers unfortunately faced and gives no hopes. When you with sacrifice made the deposit, you apparently negotiate with the other part but in reality you provoke - lost the deal because you took away the money that has been build towards clear the financial debt. You also, and I have evidence, plug lies in your website stating that you have 2 payment towards, XYZ account; however in reality you barely pay once to the creditors, lie on your system and then the creditors call you to please call them back because you never pay them. That's why we no longer want anything to do with Freedom Financial.
Also, when you make a request online or even via email; your company never resolved the issue and you have to call every month. Why? Because when you review your "statement from Crossroads Financial" you discover that was in vain and nobody take care of you. So, we ended off in square one with same debt, no freedom at all and very disappointed. But who cares about us? Only God.

This sounded so helpful & an answer to prayers. NO, it is not. There is a charge for everything & they take their money BEFORE your settlement is paid. No one in customer care really knows how their financial system works. One person will tell you you have this $ amount & another person says something different. It cost me somewhere around 150.00 for nothing & I ended by canceling. This is a horrible program & they will lie to keep you enrolled.

I guess I will start off with the conversation that my wife and I first had with a Freedom Debt Relief individual. We were told that joining this program would help get us debt free as soon as two to three years. Which so far seems to be on track. We were also told that yes it would hurt our credit a little bit but nothing significant. That if we needed to get a car loan or home loan we will be fine because it wouldn't drop our credit that much. Now let's fast-forward nine months. My credit score has dropped over 200 points since we joined. Which we were told would not happen. And then on top of that nine months in we were informed that one of our creditors does not make settlements with anybody. And that account would be removed from the program. So for nine months we've been not making a payment to this creditor because that's what we were told to do. And in return we get sorry they don't make settlements. Good luck you're screwed.
My suggestion to anyone wanting to do this program, is that if you are making payments and you're not way behind and still able to afford your bills and put food on the table. I would continue doing what you're doing and not join this program because it will screw you over. It will hurt your credit seriously in a negative way. Along with the possibility that your creditor might not settle and you don't find out about it for almost a year and you just have to take that hit not making payments and late payments tacked-on and the bad score on your credit record. It was not worth it in my opinion. Take it or leave it.

I signed up with Freedom Financial Debt Relief 7/3/2012. At that time according to the sales person I was going to make payments for 3 years. I was told during this time, I would not be brought to court for unpaid debt, and if I did, their legal team would help me. I was taken to court twice. Both times Freedom Financial stated they couldn't give me help. They couldn't even give me advice. Every time I called, I would get someone new, who would state that something was not done properly, or the sales person MAY have promised things that were unachievable. Every time I would get off the phone with the Customer service person, I would feel like the person was doing everything they could to help me. I thought my agreement would end after the 3 years. I was informed that I should have never been told that, since it was not true.
I continued to allow the payments to go through. My actual stop date was going to be October 2016. I had spoken to several people leading up to October 2016. All the customer service people stated I should be done with the program in October 2016. I even called in October, and the customer service person stated she would even put a stop on the account, since I was done. November came and went, no problems. In December the payments started to be deducted from my account again, without my consent.
The customer service person I spoke to today on December 6, 2016 stated that several things were not closed out on my account, even though there was documentation to state the accounts should have been closed out. At this time, my bank account is in the negative. I have been hit with OD charges etc. The customer service person stated even IF I get reimbursed they (her supervisor) will deny the overdraft amount. The customer service people in this company provide the customer with whatever lie they can think of, to get the customer to calm down. Each one has stated "they are doing everything they possibly can be doing to fix the situation", but the situation is never rectified.
Freedom Debt Relief has contacted Ms. Walsh to address her concerns regarding the completion of her program and to correct any mistakes that may have taken place. We look forward to working with Ms. Walsh to make sure her account is fixed and address any other questions or concerns she may have.

Very minimal progress. Only minimal settlements while my credit score has dropped drastically. If I could drop the program I would. Collectors calling nonstop as I watch my FDR account balance grow. Feels like a scam and I made a huge mistake.

I don't appreciate Crossroads posting payment a day earlier than the date that it suppose to post. It cost me 29.00 fee every time that this happens. They always post payment to early before my payment have arrived. I don't appreciate this.

It's only been a few months being with FDR, however things have gone relatively smooth. I wish more accounts would start answering so that we could see a little bit more movement, but we have already had 2 accounts close and one just agreed to a settlement and will close next month. All in all things are looking great for our future now.
