Due to circumstances beyond my control (lost employment) my wife and I had to temporarily live off Credit Cards and soon a month turned into 2 years+. Freedom Debt Relief has been a huge help resolving our debt in a reasonable way. I have paid my debts for over 40 years without fail and did not want to just walk away so they have been an awesome help in helping solve this problem. The stress level while not gone yet has been greatly reduced and we see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you FDR.

All in all I am happy with the choice I made. However, my payment history WAS 100% and to stop paying bills was the hardest thing to get used to. One other point I'd like make. The TAX issue was never addressed. New clients need to know that in some cases the difference in the amount owed and the amount of the settlement COULD be counted as income and could affect their tax liability.

So far very satisfied with the out one. Just not happy that my monthly amount withdrawn has increased by more than one hundred dollars. Glad I also took out law service provided as we needed their assistance in a matter of being harassed by a creditor.

I am happy so far. I have had one incident, but with the information I was given when I first started with Freedom regarding NLLG, I'm glad I listened. I received a summons from one of my creditors and they want to take me to court. By having NLLG, they are representing me and is taking care of the situation so I don't have to go to court. So far, the representatives have been great and I'm happy to say that they close to coming to an agreement. Thank you for all your hard work that you are doing for me and all of your other clients. This is the best decision that I have made for myself in a long time.

I don't worry about those phone calls from banks. I feel confident that I will be completely out of debt in three years. At first I didn't know how I would come up with the money to make the monthly payment toward my debt relief, but I just wrote daily "I will have enough money to make this payment", and lo and behold I had enough to live and make the payment. Sometimes you just have to risk it, and have faith that things will turn out right. They have. Thanks to FDR.

They have an extremely slow process. They supposedly negotiate with creditors. What they actually do is wait until the creditors have no other choice. This takes several months. Their fees are ridiculous (around 23% of the balance including the added fees and late charges). This makes the debt reduction around 30%, which is NOT what they push when trying to get you into their program. My credit has dropped from 680 to mid-400 in just 2 months and creditor calls never stop.

My first debt took about 5 months which was longer than I wanted but realize I have to build up some bank before they can really negotiate. It's been almost 7 months now and 2 cards are paid off. As my rep told me, it's not a sprint but a marathon. Can't wait for this all to be behind me.

One of my accounts was settled for the full amount with a very difficult creditor, Springleaf Financial. NO reduction in debt was negotiated. Subsequently, "failed payments" to Springleaf resulted in underpayment and nullification of the settlement, after all but $85 had been repaid. Freedom Financial and Crossroads also failed to return all of the failed payments to my account and charged a $10 check fee for each payment failed and resubmitted. Not only was I charged a 20% settlement fee for an account not settled for a reduction, I was charged $10 to $20 in "check fees" for each monthly payment.
In spite of ledger evidence supporting their mishandling of this account, they refuse to communicate with me, instead blaming me for "insufficient funds" to cover the payments in question (not true). For over a year now, my calls and emails have been ignored, and they refuse to investigate, take action, or communicate with me concerning this. The amount not paid is now in the hands of a collection agency and on my credit report. There are better ways to resolve credit card debt. DO NOT go with Freedom Financial!

Took money out of my bank account and overdrew my account without the proper permission to do so. Made calls to them not to do till I spoke to them in February. Now won't return my money. They keep more than they pay and don't do what they say.

I should not have even started with them. There is little to no communication when you choose to go the FDR route. If you have a question, you better not expect an answer. I'm grateful for the opportunity to not have to file for bankruptcy, but at this point, I'm regretting my decision or I should have chosen another service. On many occasions, I've called to ask questions, yet never receive a response. The website shows that you are paying money in, however, it does not show total paid in.
In October, my bank account was debited $260.00 THREE TIMES. It caused my bank account to go overdrawn, which started an avalanche of other insufficient funds issues with other creditors. I have called 3 times requesting a refund for the insufficient funds fees of $50, but 4 months later, I have yet to be reimbursed. The first time I called, nobody even took notes, so I called again. I was supposed to see something within 2 weeks, but saw nothing. I called back in December, they promised the same thing. To this date, I'm still recovering from the overdraft charges and have yet to be reimbursed, but yet, I stay faithful to this program. Bite the bullet and file bankruptcy, it's cheaper and at least your attorney will respond to you...

So far I am very pleased with how FDR is working with my credit card debtors to reduce my overall debt and bring it to a more manageable single monthly payment. Actually, in four years, these much smaller monthly payments will totally pay off our outstanding debt. No more credit cards - except those we pay off monthly.

Displeased with way debt is settlement. They said that they were working on paying some debt but I was told that last year and still the settlement I received approval for was displeasing to me. I thought that they would have started with the small amount and work their way up.

Freedom Debt Relief has made this process simple and has handled everything quickly. They try to contact me by email and text messages when a debt has been resolved and all they need is my approval. They go through an I.D. process during a phone conversation to make sure it's me they are talking to. Internet security seems to be a priority to them.

I was getting desperate and growing depressed over my debt issues. At age 77 all I could think of was how this would affect my loved ones should I pass away with all of this unresolved. I had lost my job and was already living paycheck to paycheck so being out of work and now working for much less I was feeling hopeless. I saw an ad on Facebook and I called. I spoke to a gentleman and was immediately given the information to get started. It was quick and easy. I do realize my credit is going to take a hit but at least I have a timeline when my debt will be paid and my creditors will get paid as well. The experience has been good. Was hoping to have more accounts settled by now. Hope it moves faster. Credit scores for my kids are being affected since they were authorized users on three of the accounts. I was told that wouldn't happen. A little disappointed.

I owed major credit cards companies for loans over 40k. The loans I applied wasn't for me but for someone whom I haven't met. It was online dating sites. They promised to repay with double or triple folds so I took the chances. Since I could not made my payment and I approached Freedom Debt Relief to resolved my financial problems. This system is looking good at Freedom Debt Relief. It was a little slower in starting than I was told originally, but some of that may be hard to avoid. On my way now with first pay off deal with a large debtor. Nice arrangement FDR did with them! This is a good way to go for large old credit card debt! Would recommend this to others!

We signed up with Freedom Debt Relief July 2016 - our representative Richard was very optimistic & more less a great salesman. We have settled 2 cards so far and after the hearty fees to FDR we didn't really save much, then Discover actually had us in collections so our savings was $600 but the FDR fees were $600 so no savings. Our credit scores have PLUMMETED and keep going down. We have A LOT of debt in the program and therefore our monthly payment into our account is hard to do every month.
THEN I was nervous of the 1099-c, I called Richard regarding my concerns. He told me to go ahead and file our taxes, that 1099-c is RARE and nothing to worry about... I filed our taxes and today went to the mailbox to find a 1099-c for $2000+ that we have to now amend our return and count as "income" - I called Richard and was told not to worry and he would help me with the 982 form (he never called back). I'm really nervous at this point, are we really going to be ok if we continue with this program or should we just go for bankruptcy?

I still get bills from the companies... I loved how nice they were when I called with my trouble. Andrew ** was very polite and understanding. I was told that I had settled a debt with Kay's and yet, I still receive bills from them. This makes me worry it is not working.

I have been with Freedom Debt Relief for almost a year. If you have always had good credit, the decision to do this is very difficult initially. But I don't regret going with them at all; in fact, it actually has been a relief. They went over the entire process and any issues I may have extensively at the beginning so I would know what to expect. I took all of their advice, thank God, and did exactly what I was supposed to. They have always been available to answer all of my questions. The client dashboard in my client account gives me all of my banking and payment information. The information they send you throughout the process to help you avoid getting into debt again has been very helpful. They have settled two accounts and have negotiated with two others, and fact that my stress level is well in check is worth every cent of their commission. In three years I will be debt-free, which would not have been possible without them.
I would recommend to anyone that if you can stomach the bad credit for a time, which again was very difficult for me at first, and can be completely committed to the program, it is worth doing to get that much needed fresh start. My bad luck may have caused me this problem, but it is nice to get that second chance, and that is what I got here. Keep up the good work, Freedom Debt Relief.

Handling of Discover account. I received a letter from Discover offering a settlement by 10/8/16 which I forwarded to FDR. After no response or acknowledgment of receiving it I called and spoke to someone and they told me it was in my file and it sounded doable. I told them that Discover had filed a lawsuit and that I had spoke to the FDR atty. and they said that was fine. In the end it was settled between attys. The offer apparently never tried and I end up having to pay Discover more than $2000 over what my balance was when I entered.

I'm not really satisfied with the fact that most all of my debt will be turned to collectors and possibly sued, and in doing so my credit rating is getting abused in the meantime. I'm in a debt repayment class right now, learning about budgeting and reducing my debt on my own, using a progressive ascending technique. I am 8 months into the program and most of my debts have already been settled. In the first weeks after signing up, I wasn't sure I was doing the right thing and lost a lot of sleep. I always paid my bills on time and this was new for me. The fact was that I was spinning my wheels trying to keep up with payments to my creditors and given the amount of debt I had accumulated, my good credit score wasn't sustainable anyway. I can't wait to be debt free and work on getting my credit score back up. I have been living on a fair budget and committed to not getting in this position again. I'm truly grateful for the work FDR is doing on my behalf. The customer service people are great and I do call them often for re-assurance. The electronic dashboard, however does need improvement as it is slow to "catch up". Also, slow responses from CS when I make inquiries via the dashboard, thus I call often.

I am very happy with the way Freedom conducts business. The sales (?) person who initially contacted me, Laila ** in Arizona, SOLD me on what FDR could do for us to help us pay off our debts. There were 2 glitches in the process for me. First, I was told & believed it would be no problem to defer payments to FDR if we got in a bind. When I called to arrange a 1-month break, the FDR person lectured & made it unpleasant to delay 2 payments. I don't advocate delaying payments to FDR but it was absolutely necessary for us that month. Otherwise, I felt very good about the FDR experience. We will be debt-free in approx. 5 yrs. A very valuable lesson has been learned here.

The sales rep that enrolled me lied about the process and misled me about the results. I would never do business with them again, and I tell everyone I know not to use Freedom Debt Relief. I paid a lot of fees and got no results anywhere near what they promised.

Because of the way the days fell in January, my monthly payment due on the 28th of January would not be available until 2-2-17. The representative was very helpful and my e-mail printed out an updated payment schedule showing the payment of 2-2-17 and the rest of the payments going back to the 28th of each month.

I started in August 2016 and they said it takes about 4 months before the 1st settlement. So about the 2nd week in December I received an email that they have reached a settlement for more than half of what owed. Then in January I received my 2nd settlement for more than half of that one. So I can tell you they are really doing what they said they would. I can't for my next one.

I am satisfied with Freedom Debt Relief. The only question I have is why they settle for the amount of debt when it includes all the fines and interest accrued during their litigation, and I would rather have them pay it in one payment than multiple payments. I am happy with the overall experience so far and has helped me financially on a weekly and monthly basis. However, I wish that I had read the fine print a little more carefully as I did not realize that my creditors would only be paid off as I built up my account with my payments. I honestly thought that Freedom Debt Relief would settle my credit accounts at one time and I would then make payments to them per the agreement/contract.
This is making things very difficult and I am receiving phone calls, certified letters, etc from the creditors that have not been settled as of yet and not contacted by Freedom Debt Relief. It is hurting my credit more so than if I had just settled with the creditors myself. I have never been late on payments until I was laid off from my job a few months back. I acted out of panic when I could see that I would not be able to make my payments on a timely basis and so I called Freedom Debt Relief. I just wish they worked things out a bit differently and I thought long and hard before jumping to a debt consolidation company.

I understand the program takes time to negotiate with creditors but I am going on 4 yrs in March 2017. Now my online portal says May of 2017 is the expected payoff? I have 3 accounts total. Two are settled. I was told they tackle the harder creditors first but seemingly this is what they always say to get you in the program. My last creditor as the rep says, "creditor does not agree with the amount settled", hmm makes me wonder! I even paid a lump sum of $4,000 in Sept. of 2016 as I thought it would get the ball rolling (meaning I have no more monthly payments since I am at the amount they believe is an estimated negotiation amount).
Phone call after phone call and it's mysterious that I can not speak to anyone in the Negotiation Dept. All the reps say they will send an email to that dept. Part of me feels they are keeping that lump sum as long as they can because they are investing in the thousands I sent so they can profit even more (my opinion) as well as someone is not doing their job. I hope this gets back to the CEO's Brad Stroh and Andrew Housser because there seems to be a lack of leadership, communication, and issues with some employees not following through which is affecting my life. Hope and pray all of this will be done sooner than later!

Great Service. I just wish they wouldn't take so long to negotiate the settlements. I realize they need to make sure the bank account is full of money before they settle but that takes a long time. I'm still getting collection calls.

The fees seem a bit high when handling my transactions, I would like to see single transactions rather than multiple transactions to avoid the multiple fees that are charged. With fewer fees I should have a faster pay off on my balances. While this may be in the "fine print" I do not recall anyone discussing what the fees would be, or needing multiple transactions so fees could be charged on each of them for a settlement on one account.

I sent in a review via e-mail about 1-2 weeks ago. I am not completely satisfied. I was not satisfied with the first and only settlement with discover, but I was told I should take the settlement because it went straight to the lawyers. That I didn't understand, but I did what was suggested. Still receiving calls and bills from creditors after almost 8 months.

FDR is really customer oriented. They have an amazing website where you can track all your accounts with them. You can see where everything stands. They have an awesome introduction packet that informs you of what to expect from your creditors and what you need to do to handle them. This makes it very smooth. I did have their process explained to me in great detail by another person so when I started with them I knew what to expect. In combination with the two this whole experience has been really smooth and I have felt very at ease. Best part is I have 2 accounts that are now settled yay!
