Customer service has been very prompt and courteous.The process of negotiation has been a bit slower than expected. Text messages are very helpful as well. Monthly payment drafts are occurring without issues and I was able to change my due date without issue.

So far my experience has been very good. I am happy that there is someone I can always talk to if I have any questions. They receive my correspondence and they notify me. At first I was having a hard time finding the time to talk to a counselor due to my job since they worked to 5:30 PM, and I worked till 6:00 PM. Then one referred me to another counselor who works late, She really helped me with a very calming, caring way.

Just satisfied but could improve on answering emails after info has been faxed or emailed! I have sent several emails and asked that someone let me know that they have received it to no avail! Customer service answers call promptly but would prefer to have someone handling my account that I could talk to each time!

I am very pleased with the negotiations of my creditors. I am bothered about the effect it has on my existing credit. I hope I will be able to rebuild my credit. The customer service is very nice to deal with. I keep getting letters from different creditors about post dated checks which I don't understand.

So far I am satisfied with the assistance program I am enrolled in for FDR. I wish things could move quicker, but I am paying a very large amount to try and get these debts resolved. I wish their loan option through the sister company had a more favorable rate and cost. When you are maxed out with what you give monthly, and they offer a quicker way to proceed, the increase of the amount they offer is not possible, but this is a secondary issue. They have fulfilled what they said they would do so far and I appreciate the help in the financial matter.

Just got started not long ago with help from Freedom financial. So far have been very happy with progress and program. Going better than I have anticipated. Calls from creditors have gone down tremendous. Was worried about my credit score but it done exactly what they said would do. "It would go down but don't worry it'll come back up in few months." So far it's true what they say.

Great company. Best decision I've made. I'm saving more money now than ever before. I have told some of my friends that are paying on cards and seeing no results on the bill going down. This truly is the best thing for me right now. Only problem I have with this company is they didn't tell me the money is from the amount you owed. Not the amount the credit card company would get paid. That needs to be told to a customer before they sign.

Freedom has been great to work with and I am satisfied with their assistance in becoming free from debt. My son however who shares my first and last name now has some serious financial, credit and court issues due to apparent crossover and failing to verify all personal information on accounts. So far so good. Settled on 2nd account for a third of what I owed. First one settled for 50% of amount due. No phone calls from creditors or collection agencies. They efficiently work in the background and update you during the whole process. You can also check things out on your online dashboard. So nice not having to worry about debts I couldn't possibly pay down. Sending minimum payments would have taken almost 20 years. Debt free in 4 years? How awesome is that!

I have doubts about program, but I think my doubts have subsided with my first settlement. I was told when signed up that it will take 6 months to year to settle this debt, and credit score would go down just a little. It has dropped to 530. Looks like it will take 3 yrs before all is settle. I Think the underwriters should be more forthcoming about how everything works and fees. If I knew how this how it works, and how the fees are calculated, so I might have not enter this program. Sick of being lied to or not told the whole story. I'm in the program now so have to deal with it. Amazing!

FDR has been a great help. Getting sued by Discover, so it VERY scary. Was NEVER late with any debtor payments. When I originally talked to someone I told them I wanted to retire in 2018. They said it would be no problem settling before then. We were paying one credit card off at a time. I wasn't behind with anyone at the time till I started with them. Then they came up with the idea to give me a loan to pay all of my creditors off. The only drawback which I didn't realize it would take a couple of years after I retire to pay their loan off. Which I pay them almost twice the interest on my loan than I was paying to my creditors. Also I pay every other week. I asked if I could change the dates because my rent and car payment was due the same week as their payments but they said they could not do it.

After having been a client of FDR for nearly 2 years, sending them over $1,000 every month, and seeing all of these fantastic reviews of their services, I felt compelled to write a review myself, and share the facts of my experience. I enrolled with FDR with my many credit card accounts, believing that they would advocate for me, help with my feelings of being overwhelmed, and that their "expert negotiation experience" would be of financial benefit for me and help me in minimizing long term damage to my credit report. I believed that up until last week. That was when I clicked around on my client dashboard and realized that one of my account had actually cost me 111% of the original balance, when I factored in the fee that FDR had assessed.
As I looked further into my dealings with FDR, here are more facts that surfaced: My client dashboard shows that FDR has saved me $10,000. However, my original balance was $60K. My current balance, when I add up what has been paid off and what is to be paid off is $75K, an increase of FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. I had my taxes prepared and filed early and looked forward to my $800 tax return. The day before taxes were due to be filed, I received a 1099C from FDR. Amending my return with this document caused me to owe $240, which I had to borrow from a family member on short notice (embarrassing!). That cost me over $1,000.
On average, when factoring in fees for my accounts that have settled, FDR has only netted a "savings" of about 14% of the original balances (which amounts to about $4K and some change, not really the $10K that shows on the dashboard), which is clearly offset by the above facts - that my original balance has risen by $15,000 and I lost out on my tax refund. I have been sued twice by creditors, and just received a summons last week by a 3rd creditor. My credit is trashed, as is my husband's. Several of my accounts have gone to collections, which I understand from recent research, I can likely settle myself for far less than I can expect FDR to settle them (especially when considering that they are going to charge me 20% on that original balance which keeps rising, no thanks to their "expert negotiating skills").
Although the original documents that I signed for my "special purpose account" state that I can close my account at any time without penalty, upon reading the many reviews online from others, I have no reason to believe that I will see any of MY money that is sitting in that account. Currently, I have about $1,000 in my account, and FDR fees for the debt account that is currently being paid have not yet been assessed. That particular debt was settled for 80% of the original balance when you factor in the 20% fee from FDR.
The one positive I have to say about FDR echos what other reviews have stated - their customer service is fantastic. Unless you call them to point out that their "services" cost you 11% over your original balance and ask if perhaps it was a clerical error, as I did last week. In that case, they don't have much in the way of answers or reassurances to make you feel better. If you send them money and call them when you are stressed, they are very good at patting you on the head, making you feel better, and continuing to take (lots) of your money; all the while making you feel as if they are helping you. I imagine that if you have a small balance of debt on a few accounts, it would be easy to go along with this and come out feeling great at the end of the experience, because you would be none the wiser. And that must be the case with many of the glowing reviews listed here.

They settled fairly quickly with debtors. Offered a loan alternative to speed up process. Interest is high as is the payment. When faced with going to court I suppose it's a better alternative. My only real concern is I take home 2500 a month. Here's the math break down: Mortgage - 1132, Car - 430, Replacement window payment - 340, Freedom debt currently 550 soon to be 625ish. Add up those bills = 2452 now and soon to be over 2500. These do not include food or gas or insurance etc. I need to lower that Freedom Debt bill - I'm still drowning in debt.

I kept getting calls from creditors saying they had not heard anything from Freedom. When I would call Freedom they would say they needed more paperwork from me. I submitted paperwork on three separate occasions. Thing was nobody said they needed anything till I would call. Then I was taken to court and my attorney from NLLG didn't show up. So then I had judgments against me and wages could be garnished.

FDR has been a lifeline for me. I am in so much debt due to circumstances beyond my control. I started on the road to clearing up my debt in October of 2016 with about $25,000 in debts. I asked if I could have a say in which account would be settled next. The account listed last on my dashboard is being very aggressive with collection calls. I received no response to my question. The obvious perception is that FDR has my money, so they will do whatever you want to.

I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family because they are working around the clock to relief my debt. I asked for help with our debt late last year. I don't know exactly how the process works, but it seems that it is dealt with one creditor at a time. I don't know if this is by design or if that is how it's done. The phone calls have lessened over time. I appreciate the service so far, it seems like a slower process than it really is. Only wants to communicate one way. Doesn't take customer questions about how and what they considered important. They will not let you see dashboard unless you agree or denies settlement. They try to strong arm you into 50-60% settlement.

While we understand this process takes time, we are not nearly as satisfied with the progress being made this far. In the 6 months we have been with FDR only one account has been negotiated and there are enough funds to settle at least 4 more with no headway. We had expected greater results at this point per initial conversations with the team. A more realistic timeline should be given that it can take up to it over a year to see real results from the program.

Freedom Financial network has taken all of my debts that were passed you in the ones that I've struggled the payoff for years, put them together and got me to a place where I can honestly say that I am financially able to put money down on my bills monthly. You have been very helpful although it doesn't seem that some of the accounts have been resolved very quickly. I don't think we eliminated all of the companies because we are not gaining any ground yet. We are still having financial problems but I guess that is not any problem you have created. We just didn't eliminate enough debt and we are still not able to catch up.

Fees and such have added up to the amount that I would pay in interest for the next year, so I guess they have saved me the interest from years after that. I am unsure because no one ever goes over anything with you. The dashboard info stays the same. The only contact is when they want me to sign the settlement or when I contact them. My amount on my dashboard for Discover loan is wrong. Have told them several times, stays the same.

I receive text messages from True Accord representing Silver Cloud. I received a letter from Macy's saying they have not heard from me or you. I also received a call from Wayfair saying they did not hear from you. I wish you could pay more than one creditor at a time or at least make it clear to them what is happening.

I have been with FDR for 2.5 months now. All my payments have been on time. I was told they take 20% fee once the debt has been paid. They currently have made 2 payments (1 of which was late) and caused a late fee and additional month to pay off account. I have paid a total of $1905, and they have paid $600 to 1 creditor. They have charged and pocketed $700 in fees already. What happened to 20%?

I have been working with Freedom Debt Relief for a couple of years. At first I was satisfied with their services and have been able to resolve 3 debts using this company. The problems began when one of my accounts went into litigation. I filed the necessary court documents and was ultimately decided against. I have called Freedom Debt Relief over 10 times and emailed as many trying to come to a resolution on this account. I was told every time that the account was being "elevated" and to call back in 5 business days. Every single time I have called back I have been told that they haven't heard anything OR that the person I spoke to previously gave me the wrong information. I deposited additional funds at one point because I was told (before the court decision) that depositing this amount would allow them to reach out and try to come to an agreement with the creditor. Apparently this was one of the times I was misinformed.
It is now 7 months later and the account still isn't resolved and every person I've talked to has told me the same thing: "I'm going to elevate this, call back in 5 business days." I was told by 2 "higher ups" that they would personally handle my account because this had been so mishandled. The first person was on vacation when I called back. After not hearing from her when she promised I would, I never heard from her again. The second person emailed me a few times to tell me he still hasn't heard anything but he is no longer responding to my emails (for 3 weeks).
I'm beyond frustrated with this company and feel that I'm being scammed. When I asked if there was a supervisor I could speak to I was told that there is no one higher than the person I was talking to. I then asked to disenroll from the program and was sent to the second person I mentioned who had stopped responding to my emails. I don't know where to go from here and would not recommend working with Freedom Debt Relief.

FDR charged $6000 before they started negotiation. By that time credit score already dropped like rock, this company nothing but scam. They don't do what they said, their pocket first before clients to me. That is scam, negotiating with creditor. We can do it ourself instead of using FDR. They are nothing but middle man who profited from people that in trouble with debt, I stopped but they took my $4250 that I already paid, no refund. They said is their fee, don't be fooled by FDR. They are scammer.

I just started my program 3 months ago, but I am happy with my experience with FDR so far. I was glad that a friend of mine had also used them, although I didn't find out until I had already signed up. I like that you can go into my records to see what's going on at any time. It is frustrating to keep getting phone calls from the creditors even though I have done everything I am supposed to do.

Previously before going with FDR I was making my credit card payments but was simply maintaining. At that time I was unable to find a full-time job after retirement as planned. I was not able to pay down the debt which I was hoping to do with retirement and working. That was when I heard of FDR. For nearly a year I was working with FDR and made my contributions faithfully. Recently I checked to see if everything was going well with the settlements and was told it was moving along as anticipated. Shortly after that I was shocked to receive a court summons that I was being sued by one of the creditors. I called the NLLG as I was told they would go to bat for me if I were sued. I was told by NLLG I would lose and could lose my house and have my part-time wages garnished. I was told that I should declare bankruptcy. So now I am in worse shape after going with FDR.

I was advised to stop making payments on an account and switch my contact information with theirs. And now I am being sued as they have not attempted to contact the attorney. I have since taken them off of 2 of my accounts.

The first settlement came in over $2,000 with Barclaycard. This felt nice when it was paid off. The second settlement was (WOW) over $7,000 and 8 payments to pay off. I understand the delay on each company is a wait, but the reality is I could not make any payments anyway. I did not have to file bankruptcy after a divorce. I am glad I am part of Freedom Debt Relief.

They made 1 settlement then took so much in fees that they said they couldn't negotiate with any other creditors for a year, meanwhile I got 30 calls every day. When I asked for a better explanation they said a manager would call me within 24 hours, nobody ever called.

We managed to get ourselves into quite a pickle with credit card debt over the years and were unable to get it paid off, the payments just went on and on and on. And due to a illness our income was reduced as well. I did a lot of research online looking for help to resolve our debt issues. Great Resource for those who don't have anything/anyone else! There were pieces of my FDR journey that weren't particularly explained 'clearly' to me. And, the moral to that story is to ask questions. I didn't know that this would negatively impact my credit score. I thought it was going to help me get out of debt without the negative effects of bankruptcy. I'm now on my way to paying off other debts, given this program has allowed me to cut my debt in HALF! All customer service interactions were amazing, and friendly. I just wish I would have known what questions to ask in order to get all of the information before making this decision.

I was initially hesitant about the program however, representative I worked with was very knowledgeable about all my questions. I started this program last September. Everything sounded great during the initial phone call and getting started. Three months after starting one of my credit cards filed a suit against me. I called and talked to Freedom Debt Relief and was told not to worry about it. They were working on settling that debt. Received an offer and said I accepted but would just like to see if payments could be pushed out longer. For 2 weeks I kept getting the runaround from Freedom - before I was finally informed that this place would not longer work with them but only the lawyers. The lawyers had everything taken care of within a few days. I also still have to pay the fee to Freedom when they did nothing but make this one worse for me, and really they didn't settle it the lawyers did.
Now all my money is tied up in this one settlement for the next year (which I have had to increase my payment 80 a month already from my starting point). So there is no money left to help settle my other debts until this one is done, a year from now. I reached out to Freedom and was told someone would be contacting me about some options to work on getting those other debts settled and a possible consolidation loan, but I have yet to hear anything else about this. I will say I have a friend who worked with them and she said her experience was great, which was why I chose them. Will update this if possible if things change and I have a better outcome.

Honestly, it's a little nerve racking with my score going low during the negotiations but I know that in the end I will be debt free. I have not received follow up phone calls or emails to my concerns. I have been told of settlement which were cancelled without any notice to me. I am still getting phone calls from debt collectors without any help from you. I am still waiting for phone calls after my calls 2 weeks ago!

I was looking for a consolidation loan and was referred to this company by a lender. They told me that I could settle accounts without paying the full amount back. They said they would help me get debt free in a matter of a few years without filing for bankruptcy. You make payments to their company while your accounts that you're suppose to be paying rack up late payment fees. Even though you won't file for bankruptcy you will still have charged off accounts that stay on your credit for 7 years. For someone that has good credit it was unwise choice to join their team.
While in the program you get an offer from one of their affiliates for a loan to pay off your accounts quickly and just have one loan payment. It sounds good but when you look at the terms it's 54 months at 24.99% interest. It seems like they're working hand in hand to just make profit for themselves and ruining your credit. All I was looking for was a consolidation loan but now I'm in a financial mess that has hurt my credit apparently for the next 7 years. Look up charged off accounts and how they affect your credit.

Life changing program, it helped stop calls and get on track. People in customer service are the best in the business! I found the team to be helpful, honest and fast to act or respond. The program is tough, it isn't like Bankruptcy, you're paying everyone back, just on a lot smaller amount.

I know that it may be hard to ever think that you try and try to get yourself out of debt but as we all know the bills keep coming and you just can't seem to get your head above water. So as for me I needed help and FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF was definitely the answer to my financial situation. They talked and listened to my problems just as they have for many others but they were just concerned about my situation as if I were their only consumer and to me that one on one just let me know they wanted to help. After I was involved in the program I could tell the difference it made.
It's one thing to talk or say that this is going to happen but once you actually see it every month where you can actually feel relieved and not have to worry about how you're going to make ends meet because they've taken care of your creditors for you, so I would definitely recommend that anyone who feels like they don't know how or what they can do call them they can and will help to ease the pressure and help you get back to a normal life. Be careful. My experience is this: Discover card sued me because FDR was too slow to act. I had to settle the Discover Card debt myself AND pay FDR fees on top of that. Capital One - apparently I missed 3 payments. They used this against me - because Capital One, at the END of the debt settlement, came back and asked for more money. This is how it breaks down: $20K debt, $16K negotiated settlement by FDR, $4k Savings for me. FDR charges a 20%+ fee which at $20K=$4K. So the 4K savings cancels out with the FDR fees. So I'm paying for the whole thing in actuality.
On top of that, now that we're nearing the end of the settlement, because Capital One said they didn't get the payment, I need to pay $5K more!!! That's on top of the debt I already paid off. Basically, when you miss a payment they will use that against you and say all your debt has to be renegotiated. That means more fees for FDR and also more money you have to fork up. Put it this way: I didn't join FDR, I could have just paid the $20K debt and be done with it. But because I joined FDR, now I have to pay $25K. So in actuality, this program will 1) make you pay MORE, 2) you may get sued, 3) you will have to pay 20%+ fees to FDR, and 4) you will have a headache. Be warned, FDR is not here to help - they are a business whose goal is to make money from you.

I've been with FDR for about 4 years and I'm coming to the end of my program. I do have to say they have treated me good at the beginning and to the middle. But now that we are coming to the end we have been butting heads. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. I was told that they would be done taking payments out one month and I look and it was extended another 5 months with no explanation. I blew. Every year I get my 1099C after I filed my taxes. They just don't care or don't understand that if you owe taxes that it's nice to have the 1099 when you file not after you file. Doing an amended tax filing and having to pay the amount plus penalties is not fair.

Worst mistake I ever made signing up with FDR. When you are stressed on credit cards, you do not think it out properly. They were taking more money for themselves than the one credit card that had supposedly made a settlement with. Found out after numerous telephone calls their take was 21%. Called again and was told that since I did not have enough funds the card they settled canceled the contract which FDR did not tell me. Now they are keeping the funds I have left telling me that it is for the settlement which was voided by the Credit Card. I called the Credit Card which they said was voided and made arrangement direct. My advice to anyone in debt try and settle yourself and stay away from FDR. They take as much as the Credit Card. What a SCAM.

Their customer service is atrocious, I was of course desperate for help, and they definitely take advantage of that. Their main interest is to make money off of you, not allowing you to include any debt under 500 dollars, because it is not financially "convenient" for them to include on their package, imagine! I was paying 4000 dollars to call 5 credit cards and negotiate, but they could not include two credit cards for 500 dollars (too little for them to make a phone call?)
And they will make you do a lot of the work yourself!! Calling it a "partnership" in which you have to help them. The system is you pay them little amounts of money at a time until they can negotiate each debt one by one, which can take 4 YEARS! They try to sell you on the fact that they offer legal protection, but this legal protection means nothing, you can do all this yourself. Totally ridiculous, as you will be paying them thousands of dollars for literally doing practically nothing, but call each card to make a settlement which you can do yourself OVER TIME as well.
This service is almost good for nothing, and the agents are super rude, I had one tell me sarcastically "Ma'am I'm not trying to sell you a car"... and he was, actually talking to me like a car salesman. Very pushy, telling me he had another 5 people on the line on "hold". I don't see how he would have been so busy as he followed up with persistent calls after I asked not to be called during the day because I was busy with a new job! Followed by an email telling me he called and couldn't get ahold of me so he offered to call in the evening since I was busy during the day? Huh? I am sorry I got involved with this people and I will make those calls and negotiate with the creditors myself "over time" "one by one" as I would have had to anyway working with this people. Only difference is I will not pay them 4000 at the end of the program! Good riddance!!

Customer service was mostly okay with FDR, but - bottom line - the savings advertised were either not delivered or ended up being offered independently by the lenders. The settlement offers FDR got me were no better than what the banks offered me but had a sizeable fee attached.

Freedom Debt is extremely easy to work with, you send them something and they get back to you within a day or so. I received a settlement offer that I accepted within the first two months of working with them. Ideally if I could send them more money to work with on my behalf, I'm sure I'd even get more results quickly.
