I found myself struggling to pay off my creditors on my own. I was laid off from a good paying job and have yet to find anything since making the money I needed to keep up my payments. I reached out to Freedom Debt Relief for help. They were very professional and answered all my questions. I have been enrolled with them for about 7 months. They have already helped me reduce the amount I owe to 2 creditors. I already have one account settled and I am actively paying off my 2nd one. They have great customer service and advise when you call in and ask questions as well as an online site where you can check on your progress. They offer legal services through a third party vendor for those creditors that may wish to try and take you to court to get their money. They have taken a lot off my shoulders even though I still have to deal with some of it on my own. It is nowhere near as bad as when I was trying to do it all myself.

Very easy program to use and get on top of the bills that you have been neglected to pay. They work with the debtor so that you can get them out of your hair. Granted you made the bills and have to pay the company back.

I was somewhat reluctant to enroll in the program, but after some discussions I decided to move forward. I took the step I needed to help me with the overwhelming debt. First thing I told Mr. ** after he said "I will need your email address in about 15 minutes" to Esig. I said, "We're done?" It was easy, no stress, no hassle and we even had time to talk about each other's family. So the experience was something I would recommend to anyone who are skeptical about debt consolidation. Freedom Debt Relief did help me by facilitating a settlement with one of the three credit card companies which are represented in my contract, but not until the creditor had initiated a lawsuit. I found there had been no correspondence between the Discover Card company and New Freedom until after I called them about the lawsuit. This cost me an extra $800 to retain the law firm which they use to represent cases where there is a lawsuit. I feel that the lawsuit was a result of their failure to correspond and inform the credit card company / the debtor for almost a year to communicate with them that I had entered their debt relief program.
After I retained legal representation, the lawsuit was dropped and the company settled, but in the meantime it cost me almost a thousand extra dollars which I could not afford. I am hopeful that the other two debts will be settled without going through the same complication and expense. If that happens I would raise my rating.

Awesome program. Really helps to get out of debt. Would recommend it in a heartbeat. Would not have thought it would have Been this easy to qualify for the program. Now I feel like I can breathe. Having to keep up with so many credit card was getting difficult. But with Freedom Debt Relief it's just one payment that I have to worry about. I was communicating with another debt settlement company and the gentleman I was consulting with was not professional and I could tell he was only concerned about the "sell" instead of helping me. I would ask a question and he was condescending and rude. Then a friend of mine recommended Freedom Debt Relief. I called them and began consulting with Michael. He was totally professional, went through all the details with me to make sure I understood the process, answered my questions, and showed he actually cared about my situation. I even waited a week to sign my contract from when he sent it to me, and he did not pressure me and say I had to sign it "now".
The reason I waited an extra few days was for an attorney I know to review the contract to make sure everything was on the up-and-up. I've never been in this situation before and didn't even know these companies existed so I wanted to make sure I didn't sign my life away and make my debt situation even worse. The attorney said the contract was valid and it followed all applicable federal laws. Updated on 04/13/2020: Every thing that I have dealt with via this group has come off perfectly. I've been with them now since January of 2017 and there have been ups and downs but the support and even their assistance at tough times has kept me on track.

The people at Freedom Debt Relief are very nice for the most part, very helpful. The timing of the contacting the creditors is very disappointing. I am not very happy with my credit score falling to the worst it's ever been... not happy at all about that!!! And the phone calls from the creditors is never ending. The only thing I hate is I was never late on paying and now I've got several credit cards with late charges and that is making balances bigger. I wish that small payments could be made on multiple accounts. If I could make bigger payments would that help?

Participating in this program has been one of the worst decisions I have ever made. I am not sure if it is Freedom or the person from the lending group who talked me into this but the misinformation given to me is on the verge of leaving my kids and I homeless. When being told about this program and making the decision to do it. I made it really clear I would be needing to move in about 4 months and I needed to look at getting help to send a Child to college soon. I contacted the personal lending after getting a thing saying I was pre-approved for a loan. Then magically I wasnt. I am just about at the 5-month mark of the Freedom program. I was told it would take about 3 months for everything to be negotiated and my credit would be lots better.
So far I have had one account negotiated but I am still receiving monthly bills. Have ask the person at the lending group repeatedly if this is what should happen and received no answer. Found the perfect place to move. Decided to check my credit score low 400. I again let my contact person know my seriousness of my situation. For the last 6 weeks I have been told repeatedly, "Your file just about complete". I even begged to just be honest and tell me how long till things started improving. My contact person is now not responding very often to my question if at all. It has gone from, "I will be your contact person" to just "Call freedom directly".
I have had a vehicle break down as well. When you have a credit rating this low. You cannot rent a place to live. You. Cannot get any kind of help if you have a crisis. You cannot get a second job to feed your children because employers now check your score as well. You definitely are looking at breaking your kid's dreams of college cause you can't help with that if you can't even afford rent. So the idea of the program sound great and I sit on pins and needles every day that something will change and things will get better. But if you have any major life events coming up don't believe them when they say 3 months.
You will also be called up to 12 times or more a day from bill collectors everyday even when your contact person says they will take care of it. They will call your work as well and they work evenings and weekends. I am really hoping that will stop some day too. I would love to say how great this is but so far all I'm feeling is like I just made one of the worst decisions of my life.

Your offer to become my debt resolver was accepted through a signed contract. The contract was quite worrisome due to the inclusion of voluminous legal jingle jangle. Ultimately, I accepted that the copious legalese was necessary to protect both my own and FDR's interests. Freedom in this instance, really means freedom with this company. They handle most of the settlements with minimum assistance from me. After 6 months of good payments given good option to see if I could pay all my debts in 1 to 3 months through FDR. The associate was very helpful in verifying my concern, my phone went in and out and tried to to get it to repeat the 1 through 9 or 10 on service because I got distracted. I don't feel like I have to worry anymore about paying my bills, it is all being done stress free. This is all I ask for after losing my job. Updated on (03/21/2019): So far FDR helped me negotiate with creditors so I’d get reduced payoff. They’ve all been very professional, very forthcoming and straightforward with me. They work with me pretty well on my payment plan. It was a little high at first, but as I got more things paid down it turned out to be pretty good. But one thing I’m not real happy with is I continue to make payments, and they continue to send out small checks. And they charge me like $10 per check. I’m being charged not only to put money into an account, but also for them to pay money out of the account every time. There’s all kinds of fees they add in there. Nevertheless, FDR kept me from filing bankruptcy.
Original Review: Freedom Debt Relief helped me when I could not see a way out of a bad situation. Due to divorce and loss of income, I had debts that were overwhelming. Through their assistance I am able to maintain a monthly budget that will take care of my debt and still allow me to live a normal life.

This company took $1300 out of my bank account and only paid $400 to my creditor. The coverage they said was for service fees. They pay off one creditor at a time and collect their fees upfront. Don't waste your time or money.

When I signed up for the debt reduction program I was advised that all the credit card debt that I listed; they said they have a relationship with. That led me to believe all my credit card debt would be reduced. One of the CC company does not settle period. I quit making payments as part of the debt program and as a result I got sued and have to pay an extra 1200.00 in fees and attorney fees. How does this help the consumer? FDR could have advised me of this. The CC company was willing to work with me on their own. Freedom Debt Relief company need to make sure they can settle with CC companies before telling the consumer they can.

So far I am pleased. They have been great! Everyone was helpful and understanding. I do not want to let my mom down. My dad just died, my mom's air conditioning went out, her dog is diabetic, and Sunday night someone broke into her house while she was down at my home. The bank she used she had her mortgage with had added a life insurance on my dad, we spoke to the Branch manager and it should have paid it but he no longer works there. So they are looking into it. My dad was a decorated Vietnam Vet. We filed for his pension because one of the VA advocates said that heart failure was a direct link to Agent Orange. That was the first known cause of death, but pneumonia was also listed as the third cause in two weeks from his death. Yesterday someone broke into her house while she was here. Then her identity was stolen and $3000. Was taken out of her banking account. I also have a daughter that is in college.

I totally recommend Freedom Debt Relief. These people have saved my mother from credit card debt. For years I have been complaining about credit card companies being allowed to prey on people and keep them in relentless debt forever. These predatory lending practices have got to stop! Momma is on the way to paying off all of her credit cards in just 3 1/2 more years, instead of looking forward to debt for the rest of her life. So far, I have been fairly satisfied with the service. I think the price that you charge is a little too high, but other than that, I have no problems. I am still unsure of why it takes so long to pay off some of the smaller debts. I guess you are focused on the big debts first.

The hardest thing for me is seeing my once great credit score go down so much! It has also been difficult fending off phone calls from the bank collections. Very disappointed with the program. I'm not benefiting from it and my credit now is very low. Is been 7 months that I joined the program and don't see any progress. I wish that all my accounts be resolved in a good faith and as soon as possible. It is very depressing logging on to the portal and see the same information over and over.
