I'm normally reluctant to use any debt consolidation companies, however Freedom Debt Relief has quickly gained my trust and as promised is making great progress utilizing my monthly payments. So far I’ve been very satisfied with the service & contact with FDR. I checked them out online & found them to be in the top 10 of debt resolution companies, although they are number 10 on that list. They have continued to communicate with me on a daily basis. I made a call to their contact number which was answered immediately. Following that communication & the request for a change, they sent me confirmation that my request was completed. They informed me it would take about 24 hours to see the change on my dashboard. The changed was confirmed by me in less than 4 hours. I call that real service. I am receiving information. I realize that I have to be responsible for completing my commitment also. Hopefully, Thierry will a positive outcome for both of us. Thank you again for being so kind.

If it wasn't for Mr. ** being so knowledgeable as well as patient I would not have been comfortable pursuing this method of resolution. I had called Raul the beginning of September to cancel program after giving some serious thought! Raul didn't ans. phone voice mails, three of them. Now they took $376 from my acct. PLEASE CANCEL PROGRAM NOW!!! PLEASE don't call cause I won’t answer like your rep.

Actually just ran across y'all on Google. Received call from Dorothy, who was very nice, personable, knowledgeable and patient Even though she HAD to read me "the Info" reprocess, she took the time to explain it when she was done bc it's A LOT of jargon. Mind you I am a college graduate and a RN (PICU), I am a product of circumstances. Dorothy was very empathetic to my personal situation that caused me to be in debt, which is multiple sclerosis and small fiber neuropathy and short term memory loss. I worked over 4 years after my diagnosis but unfortunately I knew that June 3, 2014 was the day that I Couldn't do it anymore. For that reason, my income went from $8000/month to $2700/month with disability. She was very understanding and did not judge me at all.
Quite honestly, I could tell that she is passionate about her job and helping others in a different kind of way than I do. So I never even really considered debt relief before, but I am very grateful that Dorothy called and explained the very simple process. It was a very painless and a quick process and I am very appreciative to Dorothy for calling and being so understanding and knowledgeable. With that being said, I became a happy customer that will have no problem recommending your company to friends/family that I know may need help as I did. So KUDOS to Dorothy. She definitely deserves any/all recognition that she receives.

I felt extremely pressured to refinance my bills with a higher interest rate and monthly payment plan. The monthly payment plan is more than I can really afford every month. I also thought that with the negotiations my debt would of been reduced, but it was not. It was same amount as when I had started to begin with. I simply could of saved money by doing it myself. I was extremely disappointed and let down by your company and organization.

It has been a challenging time for me financially. I am a professional real estate broker and I have been successful in the past. As my money problems grow so has my insecurity and fear. These afflicted emotions have had a direct effect on my productivity. I survived the recession just barely with the help of my friends but dug myself deeply into debt with them and the IRS as well as others and I have been constantly behind in my bills. I was scared and I needed a solution to my current situation. Last Thursday evening I was watching inspirational TED Talks to help lift my spirits and while I was listening to talks about how to achieve success, rebuild my life and restart my business I was struck by an ad by Freedom Debt Relief that pertained to my issues.
I called the number and thought I would be leaving a message but to my happy surprise Joel ** answered the called and listened to my story. I thought to myself "Hey this guy is good." It was my understanding that once a person signs up the telephone calls would stop. I share a phone and the calls keep coming in. The person signed up approximately 4 months ago. I wouldn't mind if they called every few day but it's 5 times a day. I see the name displayed on the tv so it ends up going to voice mail. I spoke to one company and told them to not call during the weekend because the person was away. They kept it up so I had no choice but to play with them by wasting their time. Shame on Freedom Debt Relief for not keeping them at bay.

It is a little slow going. I thought they would get the debtors off my back sooner. I'm still getting lots of phone calls and letters from the companies that I owe money. But I will say customer service is very good... If you call them they are quick to try and help you.

Credit card debt was essentially cut in half in most cases and was completely paid off within 4 years, while it would have easily been 12-15 years on my own with a difference of about $20k in principal and interest. The tracking feature is nice to check once in a while to see how you're progressing. Overall, the program is simple and it works. For the money, and years it saved me, I'm glad that I enrolled in the program and would recommend it to anyone that is overwhelmed with their credit cards and wants to relieve the burden and stress.

I am very disappointed with Freedom Debt Relief to say the least. I have been in the program for a year now and only one debt is in resolution and that in payments so it isn't really resolved. I realize you have to have the money in your account but I have enough to make a few settlements. When I call, I am always told the accounts are in negotiations. Needless to say, I would not do this again nor would I recommend your company for anyone else asking.

First, please note the only reason they received the 2nd star is that there were some accounts that were resolved; however, only those companies they work "closely" with. If they don't have a relationship with the credit company, they will continue to collect your money in escrow and no progress is made. My concerns/requests went unanswered for nearly 6 months before I filed a BBB complaint and received a personal call from their VP of Customer Relations who conveyed numerous promises, none of which materialized.
After another year and calls requesting updates, I closed my account with 3 outstanding creditor inquiries. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and knowledgeable agents. Finally, since they don't tell you up front, any account that is settled MUST be claimed on your taxes for the full amount owed, not the settlement amount, as the IRS considers this income. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking assistance with credit card debt. The stress of trying to resolve these issues outweighed the stress of the debt itself.

Freedom Debt Relief settled 3 accounts in 5 months which is great BUT... What I've learn from this company is that for each and EVERY settlement they do they will charge 23% settlement fee from the whole dollar amount owed. For example if you have a credit card that is $1,565.00 and they settle for half expect to get charged a $359.95 fee for the settlement. I spoke to a rep and informed her that Macy's had sent me a letter stating that they were willing to settle with me for more than half of what I owed and I then asked her if they were still going to charge me the fee if they contact Macy's and settle for the amount that they offered and I was told yes! I then took the Macy's card out of the account and I settled with them myself (with monthly payments) for 60% less than what I owed and guess what. I didn't have to worry about getting charged a fee.

With the death of my husband in August, I was left with a good bit of credit card debt, and being on SS only, there was no way I could repay the debt. My husband has had fifteen surgeries in the last seventeen years. Updated on 09/16/2021: Still waiting for $2691 reimbursement. All my accounts have been resolved. Sent an email to customer support this morning for answer. I would have hoped that these request would have taken place by now but no actions have occurred. I have no other complaints though the service for the past four years has been very good and have accomplished my goal of paying off all my debts
Original Review: Very nice to deal with, would hope that my issues will be resolved quickly with my creditors. This will help me plan for future without these debts hanging over me. Due to health reason consolidating seems to be less stressful not worrying to make the monthly payments.

I'm just enrolled in the program to say at the time. What I do not like is that my creditors already started calling me, starting to collect the monthly payments that I no longer do. I do not like it at all.

Updated on 08/01/2020: Freedom has taken care of my credit cards and they've gotten right around 50% to 60% off each one of the credit cards. I'm finishing my third one. It’s gonna be done next month and then, it’s the big one that they have to work on. But they said they won't start the negotiation until May. When I call Freedom for a question, they answer it. If it's through a negotiation and I need to verify that it's okay, then they let me know by text or even a phone call, and let me know to go onto my desktop.
It's the first time I've ever tried something like this and it seems to be working fine. At first, I was paying $600 a month, but I found out I couldn't handle that. So, I talked to them and they lowered the payment to 500. They said it was a good deal and they forgave one payment. Working with Freedom made me feel a little bit more comfortable that I'm not making as many payments. I was afraid I was gonna have to start letting things slide more than they were and so, they've taken care of the problem for me.
Original review: Freedom as a whole is very caring. Their customer service people are A1. Very professional. They allow you to express any concerns and once you are finished with your concern they explain the process. This makes you feel safe and well informed.
