Kim ** helped me with information, questions, answers and everything I needed to know to make an informed decision. I just wanted to get some relief from making my money stretch every month to get my bills paid. Now I feel more relaxed about paying bills each month. I unexpectedly became overwhelmed with debt. I wanted out without having to file bankruptcy and still be able to save for the future. I had never heard of debt settlement but had recently become aware of the concept of "pay yourself first". This is exactly what FDR does for you. Gets rid of the ridiculously high interest rates cc companies are allowed to charge and puts that money back in your pocket so you can break the cycle of using your cc's for little expenses (which add up quick)!! I was thoroughly impressed with their transparency. I was given the worse case scenarios but also given in detail (I love a good bar graph!) how much money they could save me overall. Stop putting money in bank's pockets through high interest and give it back to yourself. Granted, I'm only at the beginning of the process, but I'm sold. I have a degree in accounting and am convinced this is a solid alternative vs bankruptcy!!!

I can't say enough about David. Making the call this morning to Freedom Debt Relief was a very difficult call for me to make. David made all of my fears about making that phone call go away. I was leery of this whole process and feel really depressed that I have come to this point with my credit. I would start to dial then hang up and I finally made the call. The voice on the other end of the Jack **, was extremely friendly and supportive. I lost sleep over all my debt and worry was making me sick. I called and spoke to him. He walked me thru it all. It was a lot to take in at first and when I had questions days later he immediately responded and was full of knowledge and reassured me that this was a great choice for me. I got divorced and was a single mother. Then my disabled mother move in from OK to FL to live with me and then my son in an accident and was out of work for a yr... So all this combined made a huge burden. I now have a game plan and a goal. My nights are full of rest knowing that I am not drowning in debt and that I can save money for car/home repairs...

I would recommend to anybody that's having problems. I feel more relaxed that my debts will be taken care of. If anyone is having debt problems don't try to take care of it yourself. Likely I did it only makes it worst. They told me by doing this I would save a lot of money. Please call and get help.

Tyler was very helpful and explained my options, but I do feel like I only have a partial understanding of this process. It feels scary to voluntarily stop payments on my credit card but I am optimistic and have read the client testimonials. I feel Tyler was trustworthy but I am still a little unclear on the entire process and what it will end up costing me.

When I started to look for help to pay off my debt because it got out of control I started checking agencies. I called different ones. It's a scary thing to do over the internet. But when I spoke with one the representatives he looked at my information to see if I would qualify. I did. He then started to explain the process and the amount I owed. He then came up with the monthly payment I would be making. In setting up the paperwork that needed to be filled they were very patient and understanding when I had problems submitting documents. Then teaching me how to log on to the dashboard. When settlements were made it is up to me if I accept them or not. They have been very helpful to me in taking care of my debt. It's a difficult decision to make and sometimes making the call is even more overwhelming. Jennifer was very calm and took her time to explain everything. She also allowed me the time needed to ask all my questions. There was no rushing through a presentation. The steps were explained as were the options the company offers to help people like me who want to pay their debt, but who find themselves in financial hardship situations. During my conversation with her and even after hanging up, I did not find myself with the uncomfortable, not-too-convinced nagging feeling I have had with other companies I called. She definitely made clear the client's interests are their interests. I would definitely recommend Jennifer and the company she represents.

Jon called to review options of debt relief. He helped explain the amount I was paying monthly for credit card debt and the amount I can save. Jon described in detail the program and what I am to expect. I was concerned by not making payments, it would affect my credit score. I was also concerned by the accounts being closed will also negatively affect my credit score and history. However, Jon answered my questions and reassured me there will be no negative consequences. He also stated there are programs available to help improve my credit.

Getting in over your head is a scary thing, but my rep Edgar is the most patient, understanding, and supportive guy I know. He's also very knowledgeable. Whenever I have a question he almost always has the answer on hand and if he doesn't have it he knows who does and gets back to me within the hour. I've read the complaints about this being a bait and switch operation where they offer you a consolidation loan but then say you don't qualify. That is how credit works though. If you use up your credit it drops your score disqualifying you for the loan and it would be no different if you went to a bank. If hardship has you drowning in debt this is probably the best way to go.

The program delivered what they promised. I found it confusing as to who was taking care of my account. Once I initially signed up, it seemed like I never talked to the same person more than once or twice. Whenever a problem or question came up, I was directed somewhere else. However, everyone was gracious and helpful. As you can imagine, it was stressful. Especially since I seemed to be the "small percent" that got sued by one of the credit card companies. Very stressful there. I was glad to do the Consolidated Plus program to be able to "finish" with the credit card companies, but feel like the interest is very high. Some days that doesn't give me a feeling of being any better off than when I started down this path. However, at least I know there is an end in sight.

The first settlement happened very quickly and I am happy so far with the communication between us. So far so I am feeling like I am moving in the right direction. I am always looking forward to contact from them. I also have not had the creditors contacting me once they know FDR has my back.

Freedom Debt Relief sounds like a good program on the surface, however, there are hidden fees, small font print, and unclear statements that do not provide transparency of where your payments are going. The approach of being delinquent on your debt ruins your credit while having to pay 25% on top of the settlement. This approach can be done successfully on your own while not having to pay the fees. You end up paying close to your original debt total, once you add in all the fees, not to mention ruining your credit.

Tyler was clear and spoke at a understanding pace. He would take breaks so all information could be absorbed. He allowed me to ask questions and he did not act irritated when asked to repeat. He had very nice manners. He made me feel hopeful. Some people work hard in their life and then suddenly something goes wrong. Never do they intend to end up in financial trouble. Collection calls. Also they keep saying they have not received the authorization for you to speak on my behalf. None have been said. None have been notified. Not happy. Initially was pleased with the program, however once you're in and trying to get issues resolved, customer service is hideous and almost non existent. All my accounts have been resolved as of mid 2016. I had one account remaining of which I have a 1099-C for and of which I have been trying to give them since mid 2016. As of late May 2017, they've come up with every conceivable excuse to "NOT Graduate" my plan and return $5,600.00 which I have had banked with them since mid 2016. They are sitting on my money and collecting interest for them instead of graduating the account. I have spoken with Neal, Sonja, Jamie and Christian and countless other customer service representatives and continually get the run around. I will attach an image of my progress so that you can see I am telling the truth.
I've emailed no less than 10 copies of my 1099-C DAILY to them and they still refuse to accept that I sent it. Until this week, they finally got back to me and said that the copy of the 1099-C I emailed was not in a format they could save and to resend in a different format. It was a .jpg file. So I have sent it in .pdf format and again no reply. RUN before thinking of using them. I never missed one payment to them and they were ALL on the due date. It's sad I have had to resort to leaving bad reviews but I hope you do not experience what I have.

We have a small business actually Spiritual products & services. A small fire a year & half ago required our stopping & packing up. We needed to find another location. I would to request if possible to speed up the process of payment of my debts with the credit card company and my loan. I received a lot of notices and phone calls for not paying my account with credit card and loan that I owed them. I'm getting nervous/scared. Thanks a lot.

We were struggling with our finances because my husband got hurt at work and had back surgery. He is still having problems with his back. We are on workmanship comp. which is hard to survive on, when you are used to better money coming in the household. I had uterine cancer, so we both were out of a job. We are drawing social security which is not enough to pay bills that we made when we made good money. Our income dropped way low. So we were having problems juggling money. You can't get ahold of people you have talked to. Everyone has a different answer. I would get told you guys to work on my stuff then said you can't then you can again and it was back and forth for a month before I lost it and just had you guys remove some things. I would get told someone will call me back that can help me then they would never call. When I would call to ask about it they had no notes about it. So then it turned into a wild goose chase again and I would get told, “No. He/She was wrong. I will talk to their manager.” I just hope it all works out like they said it would or the BBB is going to get involved.

Before using FDR or any debt relief company be sure you have no other options available (include bankruptcy) before getting involved. Be guided by some of the problems I have had. When they tell you what your monthly deposit is going to be, be sure it is an amount you can easily live with. Even ask what a lower amount may mean to your account.
The problem for me now is that I have had my hours at work temporarily reduced. I can make my monthly deposit but that is about all I have. I will have about $50 to get me to my next payday in two weeks. With that I have to pay my other bill, buy food and gas so I can get to work, it ain't going to happen. I called to see if I could, for one month, pay less but there is no flexibility with them on that. Always willing to take more but not less. Even if I wanted to get a short term loan I can't because they have mess up my credit because, in my opinion, they have mishandled my accounts (more on that later).
If you do use FDR and you have a troubling account make sure with keep on top of them to handle that account first. After joining the program and not paying any of my creditors as instructed I was contacted by one of them saying I need to contact that creditor about settling or they would follow up with legal action against me. I advised FDR of that and for a while that creditor was at the top of list to be settled first. My first notice of a settlement came in but it was not for that creditor, then another notice for a different creditor, then another for a different one. Finally I received a summons from the creditor that court action had been taken to FDR credit. Once I told them about it, they negotiated a settlement quickly even though that should have been the first one they did.
The problem is now I have this public record of collection on my credit report against me. I have not tried to get any type of loan since then but one of FDR sister companies contacted me about getting a consolidation loan and turned me down. One the reasons given was because of that public record. Now if one of their sister companies are not willing to overlook that what chance do I have with another lender. Don't be a meek lamb like I was and be led around clueless like I was. Take an active part in the program and keep in touch and make sure your wishes on how things handle are clear to them.

I have been in the program since October, and it is now May and only one card has been negotiated. My creditors are telling me that no one has reached out to them and I've been turned over to collections which concerns me although I've been assured that all creditors have been contacted. I've consolidated in the past and all creditors were contacted and settled far quicker than this. This is my biggest concern. However, the one card that was negotiated was cut in half, which is great. I would prefer the negotiation period was more accelerated and settled in a more timely manner.

I have had less calls from my bill collectors payments being made to my accounts, so I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief. I wish I could send larger payments, but being on a fixed income it is impossible at the present time. I lost my husband 1 year ago and it has been hard for me financially.
